Somehow, these folks got the formula just right for making a car buying experience a pleasure instead of something along the lines of a root canal. Each step of the process was delivered professionally, respectfully and positively. From the first contact with Haroon Mohammad who responded to our inquiry about a 535 we found through True Car, we were educated and informed and not dealt the 'hard sell'. We took our time to shop around, ended up back at Motor Werks in Barrington because of Haroon. When we honed in on the vehicle we wanted, the same attitude and professionalism was demonstrated by Chris, Andy, Ryan and all the folks along the way. I'm delighted with my new car and would highly recommend this dealership - these folks in particular.

The Motor Werks staff people made us feel welcome from the first call and step in the showroom. Friendly, professional and not condescending my wife and I felt treated as friends or family. I found a car on line, and wanted to see it first hand. I was greeted by the managers and immediately felt comfortable. We were introduced to Sharon Lee by Managers Andy Shah and GM Chris Lima. First class experience Fromm start to finish. Sharon was fun, very personal and knowledgable and fully informed on all our questions and customer care. You just don't see that style of sales persons any more. The car was super clean 550 BMW pre-driven X drive and both Sharon and Andy fully explained all we needed to know. I highly recommend the Motor Werks Family if your seeking to purchase a vehicle and service after the sale is important to you. The finance man Ryan Durso helped us select service items that will protect us and help during ownership and answered all our questions. The BMW Genius help teach me the basics of the cars electronic features and called me for follow up appointments good thing because I forgot half of the things he told me. Our entire experience beginning at the test drive to the day we came in for final papers and drive the car home was rated 10 our of 10.We look forward to free car washes and top shelf service at the Barrington Moter Werks facility. I drove in from Michigan to purchase my first BMW. Dealt with Kash Mirza the whole way. I found the car online at Noon on Monday, Contacted the dealership and Kash was on point immediately. He stayed Late Monday to answer my questions, by Tuesday Morning we had a deal. I drove away with my car Tuesday evening. The process could not have been better. GREAT service, GREAT price. I will recommend this team to everyone..

Our experience with Motor Werks BMW, and Harry Gianos & Chris Lima specifically, was absolutely top notch. This was our first BMW purchase (X3) and I'm certain my wife and I will be back for years to come as our family grows. Each time we arrived at the the dealership we were greeted by the entire staff and felt comfortable right away. Harry was a pleasure to work with and had an outstanding knowledge of BMW. The Motor Werks team also had great follow-up to remind me to schedule the Encore tutorial, which was a great way to learn about all the technology features of the X3. The dealership is undergoing a massive facelift and will be incredible once finished. Hats off and major thank you to the Motor Werks team!

"I'm an easy guy to work with if I get what I want" - everyone that is purchasing a vehicle, ever.I did a lot of research before settling on the vehicle I wanted to test drive. I also did a lot of research on pricing and financing offers from BMW. After I knew what I wanted, I reached out to Motor Werks via their website chat feature where I first communicated with Anna. I told her what I wanted, how I wanted to be contacted, and my price targets for vehicles. That was my first point of contact and was a success.Driving in to Motor Werks of Barrington BMW was a bit overwhelming at first. The massive facility, essentially an auto mall, was plenty full of vehicles. It was definitely intimidating at first appearance.We walked in to a staff full of honest smiles. No one asked, "how can we help you?", but "can we get you a water or a coffee?" It seemed as if everyone knew when to approach and when to back off. For us, it was our ideal ambiance for a dealer. Perhaps we won them all over by bringing in our 7 month old baby, but I think I was the charmer of the day. Who knows. Al Stoll, our sales representative, could see that we wanted to cut right to the chase and grabbed the keys to the two vehicles we wanted to test drive. We took time to fit our baby seat in the vehicle behind both seats on both vehicles. My wife and I wanted to see if the LATCH system on the BMW was easier or the same to use as on our Audi. All the while Al was giving us REAL information about the vehicles and answering all of our questions. If you've ever been fed BS you'll understand why this was very much a good thing.And then came wheel and deal time. No games, no gimmicks here. Lou Floros was a straight shooter and if he could make it happen, he would make it happen. And he did. I gave some realistic targets after doing my research on security deposits, money factors, and checking out edmunds for setting price targets. A little back and forth is never any harm, after all, this is something I'm going to be living and paying for the next few years. We agreed on a price and financing terms and that was that.Then came Ryan Durso the finance man. He'll move as fast as you want to move, and I wanted to move fast. He'll answer ALL questions thoroughly and properly. He answered my contract questions regarding multiple security deposits and even followed up via e-mail about a license plate question I had. One thing I very much appreciated was scanning all of my docs and sending me an e-mail PDF which he was able to do while we sat in the office. We were worried about their e-mail size attachment limit but it ended up not playing a factor.The car was detailed and ready to go. Dan the BMW Genius sat with me for as long as I wanted to help me learn about the technology available in the vehicle. If I didn't want to hear about a specific thing he just skipped it. I will say, he really knew his stuff. Very knowledgeable and navigated quickly through menus all while giving me the layman's explanation of things.Will I be looking for my next BMW at BMW Motor Werks of Barrington? Absolutely. Perhaps when the daughter is 4 years old I can get myself an M and Lou will still be around to hear my crazy wishful thinking numbers.Thanks to all the staff who assisted us throughout the whole process, in order of appearance, Anna Kail, Al Stoll, Lou Floros, Ryan Durso, and Dan. And definitely a huge thanks to the rest of the friendly staff who asked us about our baby, who made sure we were hydrated and caffeinated, and most of all comfortable.

I checked out a car online and filled out a dealer inquiry. Yesenia immediately replied and set me up with an appointment to see the vehicle. My girlfriend actually went in to see the vehicle as I was stuck at the office. Upon arrival, Harry Gianos took great care of her, and they work through the details of the deal - pulling me in on the phone when necessary. We were a bit off on pricing, but Andy Shah (sales manager worked hard to make a deal). They actually struck a deal without me being there... When i did get a chance to go in person, I received the same level of service. Ryan Durso did a fantastic job sourcing a competitive finance package and was very thorough with the process and making sure we understood what we were signing.I have purchased three cars in the past 2.5 years and the staff/experience at Motor Werks was one of the better experiences I have had at a dealership. I have never written a review before, but felt they deserved it. Thanks for the pleasant car buying experience.

the service advisor Elliot Faulkner went above to insure my care was maintained properly, detailed and returned me to me in a better time frame than i anticipated. He kept me updated thru the proceedings and greeted me by name when i arrived for the service. Elliot is a excellent employee, the kind of guy I would hire for my business. 5 STARS! I cant say enough good things about my experience! Having been a while since the last time I bought a car, I was not looking forward to the process. But Harry proved that it can - and should be - easy. He knew the cars I was looking at inside out which was good, because I had a long list of questions that he happily answered. I flew in from way out of state to purchase an older pre-owned car from pictures and Aldijanas careful and complete description. Arrived late and Aldijana stuck around to make sure I was fully sorted for my long drive back to Dallas. I drove from Indiana to purchase my vehicle. I purchased a 335 and got a great deal! I looked all over the US for this car as I was very specific to what I needed. Aldijana not only took time out to make sure she found the car for me, but also made sure it fit in my budget. I have dealt with many many dealerships and client advisors, and I'd say 95% of them have been rude or even thought that I couldn't afford the car (being fairly young). One thing I can't stand is rudeness. Not this dealership, the entire staff was nice and very caring. Andy Shah (manager) even made my mom tea, how nice of him!? Aldijana was always nice and respectful, which ultimately made my decision to buy from this dealership. She followed up and helped answer more questions.

My wife purchased a 2016 X3 on a Friday and I came back the following Friday and purchased a certified 2015 535i x drive. I was very pleased with my experience at the dealership. Aldijana Hodzic and Chris Lima were extremely courteous and helpful. Aldijana is a gem. She made my wife and I feel right at home. She contacted us several times to ensure our satisfaction. Chris Lima was very honest and personable. You can tell after meeting him that he is a good person. I could since his sincerity. I understand that their business is to sell vehicles, but there was no pressure and no deception on their part. I received great value on my trade (2014 GMC Sierra, loaded). Our close friends Michelle and Dan Parsons recommended Motor Werks to us. It was quite a show last week when we went to see them. I drove in from Kalamazoo, Michigan with my 25-year old daughter, (a very educated "sports car lover)" to look at a specific BMW my daughter thought I would be interested in. We are a "car aficionado" family and after owning numerous sports cars, have been very disappointed with the averagesalesperson's knowledge of the car they are selling, even though they are high end cars. I was amazed that Aldijana knew the car so well and all its features, and assured me she would hold the car while I made the drive. Upon arriving at the dealership, she immediately took us to the employee lunch room and fed us pizza, salad and soft drinks, which was exactly what we needed at the time. Next she ushered us to the lower level garage where the car was waiting, and handily walked us through all the features of the car and answered every one of my daughter's questions about its engine and its performance, wheels, tires, etc., After the test drive, Aldijana went out of her way to ensure we could drive the car home after a snafu on my end, presented it with a big bow, and two hours later we were back on the highway headed home. She called me during the drive home, twice the next week, and once the next month to ensure everything was satisfactory. Her professionalism is exemplary. Interestingly enough, on the drive in, I had said to my daughter that if her Master's degree she was pursuing didn't work out, she should consider selling cars as she was more informed than 95% of the auto salesmen we had met. She agreed that most know only a few products well in their line and rarely know the competitions, but she indicated she felt that there would be a built-in bias against female saleswomen. How fortuitous for her to meet Aldijana, who was an exemplary role model in how to sell a car without a superfluous amount of pressure, knew the competition and its performance abilities (both positive and negative), nailed the features of the car I was interested in, and could ask pertinent questions and inject humor about my daughter's ride (an Audi). It was the first time in years that a salesperson did not have to run to a manager, another salesperson or peer through a automotive catalog to answer my daughter's questions. And furthermore, she was the first salesperson that innately understood the 25 year old college student accompanying me, was going to be instrumental in the decision and not to be dismissed. For me to witness my daughter and Aldijana conversing about the merits of chipping engines, winter tires vs all seasons, turbo lag, model changes, etc. demonstrated to me that the dealership had an excellent asset with Aldijana on their staff. For this mother-daughter team, Aldijana got the our first A+ rating. We will be back.

I could not be happier with my experience at the dealership. Aldijana and Chris were more then helpful, they went above and beyond compared to Patrick BMW, were i purchased my last two cars. Aldijana made several check up calls to ensure I was extremely satisfied. Chris was transparent when i came to pricing, not like Patrick BMW where they waste hours of your time only to quote a price that was insulting. I was ready to switch to another car manufacturer after my experience was terrible at Patrick BMW but Aldijana, Chris, and the rest of the team changed my viewpoint. Their service center was also profession and helpful, unlike other dealers. Thank you again Motor Werks for everything, you are all true professionals.

I went in expecting to purchase a used vehicle. I didn't even want to consider a new vehicle thinking it was out of my price range. Chris Roehm took the time to give me all of my options and was never pushy. I ended up getting a brand new car that I LOVE and can afford. He even took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked and was set up properly as far as connecting the blue tooth with my phone, etc. I highly recommend Chris Roehm Motorwers . It was worth the hour drive to get there.

Having purchased a new 4-Series Gran Coupe I discovered an intermittent problem with the Sirius radio freezing (this is the only niggle in the entire car). Erik Swanson was immensely helpful throughout the process. He documented the issue, arranged for a loaner, and communicated consistently with me as they tried to replicate the problem we were experiencing. I happened to have a picture of the display when it was malfunctioning and they were able to use that to further diagnose the problem. Erik was not in a hurry to get the car out of his shop but took the appropriate amount of time necessary. He respectfully requested to keep the car for several days after the repair to make sure the problem didn't surface again. Erik communicated with me daily (email or phone) and routinely said he wanted to give us the car back only once he knew it was working error free.

The best car buying experience This dealership is situated 30 miles from where I live, yet the care and service received out weighs the 1 hour drive hassle. When we went to the showroom, the Client advisor Barry Sias whom I worked with earlier was busy, their Sales Manager Derec Jordon met us, made sure we were comfortable and assigned another Client Advisor Chris Gargano to work with us. Chris patiently worked with to find the car of our liking. We went in to buy a CPO model which was sold earlier that day, Chris and Derec helped us find another X5 which met all our needs. Barry Sias also would stop by in between to ensure that we were being helped. All through out the process there was no pressure on us. Their General Sales Manager Christopher Lima also ensured that we were taken care off. Finally their Accounts Manager helped us in getting a low interest financing. All prices were given upfront and there were no surprises. Overall it is great team with strong customer focus. We walked out with an New X5, no buyers remorse and great experience. I would strongly recommend this dealership to my friends, family and others trying to decide on this dealership. Thank you Motorwerks Team !!!

Overall a more positive experience then other dealerships. MW seemed to understand that the art of simple conversation and listening is important. Both parties are trying to make a deal and that is understandable and the bottom line is we felt good, tired, but happy with the outcome. One probably can say I could of done better, but that is true for anything.The one negative was the time. Part of it is our fault for really narrowing down the right vehicle, and I am thrilled they spent the time to do so. But when it came to the paperwork that took a little longer than expected, which is fine, but there was no place to relax. Motor Werks is under construction and there needs to be a lounge area, perhaps narrow in width but decent lengthwise, where people can sit, read, get a bite to eat (tables, lounge chairs, sofa).

I am beyond unhappy with my 2005 BMW X5 purchase. I purchased the car (pre-owned) about a year ago and pretty much have had nothing but problems with it. I took it to the dealership once for issues I was having with the car, and have learned my lesson to never take it back there to get repaired as they are beyond overpriced and will inform you that several other things are wrong with the car, when actually they are not. Maybe because I am a girl and they thought they could scam me into getting more money. But I got a few other estimates from other dealerships as well as gas stations and stand-alone repair shops, etc who told me completely differently information however all of these other places did tell me similar things and completely opposite of what Motor Werks BMW told me and all quoted me close to $4,000 less. I am also extremely annoyed that I have had to fix majority of my door handles, which I have come to find out is a huge problem with these kinds of cars. I was ripped-off when I purchased this car and cannot wait to get a new car from a different dealership as I will never go back here.

Who told you to buy your car somewhere else?Who said you will get a better experience than motor Werks Who said it hard to find, or you won't get finance?Look am a very picky guy, I have a Mercedes, had a Audi A8L, but the BMW from motor Werks save's me, a lot of worries.My car is faster, sharper, a "Trophy Horse."They don't have an award for that ? Trophies? after getting a quote for a lease of a FO bmw from a different dealer, I came to MW to get their quote. MW sales couldn't or wouldn't create a configuration for the car as the other dealer did for me (in the form of a vehicle inquiry report). I wouldn't use MW for a BMW FO in future.

I went to numerous dealers in an effort to find a good first car for my son. I had bad experiences in every single instance ranging from aggressive salespeople, to neglectful salespeople, to dealerships who refused to give me a price on a car until I signed a paper promising to purchase a car that day. Unbelievable. I walked into Motor Werks and I was instantly greeted by a friendly salesman who proceeded to assist me in finding the right car for my son, quickly and efficiently with absolutely no haggling over price or other incidentals. I didn't feel like I was being sold a bill of goods, I felt like I was being treated fairly and respectfully and the experience was pleasant. It was night and day from the other dealerships I had been to. Most importantly I think I taught my son a good lesson. Walk away from the people who are not treating you right. Buy quality products from reputable, honest people and your experience will be a positive one.

I purchased my first BMW from Motor Werks in Barrington. I had a few minor issues with the cosmetics of vehicle, all of which were remedied right away. The first, were missing floor mats. Motor Werks made no hesitation and ordered 4 new weather proof mats right away (no charge). The second concern was an area which touch-up paint had been applied. The area was pointed out, and again, was immediately taken care of. The service department even replaced the wiper blades, oil change and brake fluid all at no charge. My experience with Motor Werks has been wonderful! I love my X3 and this will not be my last purchase from them. Thank You, Motor Werks Team. You have found yourself another loyal and returning customer!

I just picked up my 2015 228ix drive convertible that I ordered through Motor Werks and the whole experience was great all the people I dealt with from Peter Gioulos, John O'Brien, Tony Dee, and Joe Young were all terrific, can't say enough about the service they provided. I would highly recommend buying your next BMW from Motor Werks and this is from someone who is an ex Patrick BMW client. Night and day difference Motor Werks treats you with respect no matter how much you are spending.

I had stepped in thinking that I'll get price matched for the quote I got from another dealership, but that didn't happen, because the other dealership was lying to us. I called Grossinger's Nate Chevilar to ask about the quote he e-mailed me but never replied back. Even with the quote being very far from what I was purchasing for, Tony in Motor Werks kept on working on bits and bits of things he can deduct for till we were able to come to an agreement. What kept me hanging around is the fact that Tony Kahish kept on offering us certain incentives and also worked things out with his manager to provide our requests. Kept on offering us condiments, very polite, professional and never pressured us once to full fill his price even though we took hours of his time. Then we met Mark from accessories and he negotiated with us to a price we could also agree on. One of the most genuine polite, loving, compassionate, un-pressuring and friendly persons I have run into on this planet. God Bless him. I finally smiled when I sat in my new Honda Odyssey and couldn't thank them enough. Thank you Tony and Mark in Honda Barrington.

I haven't personally worked with the sales department, but the service department is unlike any other. This dealership is staffed with very professional service technicians and service advisors, and everytime I leave this dealership, I know that the vehicle serviced correctly the first time. In terms of cost, they're very competitive with their services and overall I would highly recommend this dealership for service.

My car was due for an oil change. I felt that there may have been a problem with the front tire, so I asked to have that checked out, as well as a general check on fluid levels, etc. My service advisor, Eric Swanson, did a great job finding out what the problem was and checked to see the coverage under my extended warranty. Once again, the service department at Motorwerks took great care of my car, and I feel confident that everything is working properly.

Erik Swensen makes me feel very special when I am treated at Motorwerks. He knows me, but more importantly he knows the history of my car. When I last took it in, my car wasn't scheduled, but he took me in anyway. He fixed my Bluetooth connection on the spot, so I could have my phone back, called the number I asked him too, because I was unavailable that particular day. We were able to speak, after all, and he reported what the problem was and said the car was ready and waiting for me. He is so reliable as is the dealership. If I had to buy another car, I'd want it to be from Motorwerks and I'd want Erik to be the person I deal with because he takes the time to get to know me AND my car.

Eric is always so helpful whenever I contact him with an issue. I am always provided with an estimate of repairs prior to any work being started, and am always given a loaner car when needed. While there are certainly less expensive places to have my car repaired, the level of customer service and friendliness of the staff does not compare to that of Motor Werks.

Al Stoll and his Team at Barrington Motor Werks were phenomenal - I went in to purchase a used car and ended up with a new car, an even nicer one than I was originally considering, within a couple of days - excellent service and customer care - the plates and insurance with Allstate were all already in-house and effortless.

I am a BMW enthusiast and have purchased, serviced, and driven pretty much every BMW model sold in USA since the late 90's. I know the cars inside and out. My sales consultant, Boban, is the first person I have met that actually knows what he is talking about when it comes to BMW's. I could tell that he had respect for his occupation. He also has integrity and intelligence. These are qualities not found on a daily basis in sales. Boban is a true gentleman, exhibited by the amount of respect he showed my wife and kids. I have made a lifetime relationship and would recommend Boban to anyone that is purchasing a German car.You can tell that MotorWerks has their "ducks in a row". I am a perfectionist, and thus I look at the small details that are not advertised explicitly. MotorWerks pays attention to these small details, and as a discerning buyer, I found that to be refreshing. This was only the second time out of 8 cars that I have purchased that the finance guy/gal did not try to pull a fast one on me. Also, this was the first time that the finance person (Basil) was genuinely likeable and trustworthy. You could see from my interactions with the porters and technicians that these guys are genuinely happy to work at MotorWerks. That shines through when you see the amount of care they take cleaning and servicing your vehicle. I truly felt they treated my "baby" the same as I would. It is always a good sign when you walk past a blue collar employee and they can look you in the eyes and smile. Then, you know they have integrity and stand behind what they do (not to mention that they are proud and happy to do so). I plan on purchasing all future cars from Boban at MotorWerks (and I hope it is a lot of cars :))!Looking forward to my first car wash!

After buying 13 cars here from Sam Ryder over the years and having no problems, I continued to buy here. Until my last car was bought here. Then there has been nothing but problems with it. They could not fix it, over and over I brought it back. Then I complained. Since the complaint I was told they would no longer service my car. Wow! One complaint over 15 years! And numerous Porsche and Bmw purchases. The owner is very unprofessional. And I was clearly told, they do not need our buisness. Hope to warn future customers not to complain here about service. Oh and our other x5 had to be brought in 7 times for a tail lightbulb they couldn't fix. They had to bring in a bmw specialist.

From the moment I met him I could tell he truly enjoys his work and really took a personal interest in my situation. Over a three day period of time he kept me fully informed of my vehicles status even asked if the mechanic could take the vehicle home and back to work to be sure the differential and axles were working properly. I purchased my BMW at Motor Werks after doing a lot of shopping with other dealers in my area. What I found at Motor Werks were people that were real and trustworthy. They didn't feed me the hype and sales pitches for me to weed through. Everyone listened to me and did the best they could to meet my needs. I am so satisfied with Sebastian and Motor Werks that I will never purchase another car from anywhere else. The experience was exceptional.

Wonderful dealer once I made them aware of the issues with my car. I had issues which had me unhappy with the dealer at first. They worked with me and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. The pricing is not cheap but that comes with any BMW service department.

I have had my car serviced before at Motor Werks, and generally it has been just satisfactory. I recently had my car serviced, with many engine related problems. I was not kept informed of the progress being made and the final amount to be paid was way off of the estimate. Ther service advisor had a terrible attitude and was not willing to work with me on my situation. I do not recommed Motor Werks, and my service needs will be handled at another dealership.

I've had really good experiences in the past, but my last visit was truly subpar. They kept my car for 10 days to basically repair a broken window, and they failed to make all the repairs I had asked for. Additionally, they were a bit rude to my wife when she dropped off the car for service and did not keep me advised of their progress. <br><br><br><br>

I had heard in a chat room,that if you want to get a BMW,but don't have the time to go to Germany to pick it up,go to Spartanburg,SC<br>for an awesome expierence.I went to 3 different dealers before I found the guy that understood what I was asking for and knew how to deliver it.Irv Robinson not only made it fun,but gave us many options for our return ride home. My Dad (81) came with me on the trip,and not only did we have the best time,it is a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life Irv stays in touch with me on a regular basis and will arrange to pick up my car anytime I need service....great dealership,<br>great service...
