Dropped our vehicle off for the 15,000 maintenance and in-cabin air filter along with body work to be done. Both the Service Advisor and Adam (body shop manager) were helpful and friendly. They explained exactly what to expect and when the job would be complete. Everything went as planned and we were extremely satisfied.

My experience was the best I have had in ages from a dealership. Ruben instantly made me feel comfortable and honestly listened to all my request. He totally took his time in finding me the exact vehicle that fit my budget. In addition, with my long list of questions and concerns about the financing options, he never made me feel as if I was over occupying his time. Ruben was not only knowledgeable regarding my questions I had about McGrath, but totally well versed on the vehicles features and benefits. Regarding the finance manager…top notch. Extraordinary service, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with throughout the process. I visited Hawk Nissan earlier that day in St. Charles. I have to say their service from the appraiser all the way to management was nothing short of extremely disappointing. Five minutes in visiting McGrath and being assisted by Ruben…I knew at that point I would be closing the deal with him; professionalism goes a long way with me. This was our 6th Nissan purchase through McGrath Nissan. Benny was our salesperson and catered to our needs the entire time. He made sure the car was cleaned and polished and a full tank of gas before we left. Over the lunch hour he provided a 'loaner' car so we could meet our daughter for lunch. He took the time to explain all the features on the car as he set up our phones and Sirius radio channels. His professionalism was fantastic throughout the day. Although our sales person was new, he did a good job of taking care of us. And if he wasn't certain about something, he found someone who had answers. They gave us a very reasonable deal on a new Murano Platinum. The sales manager was very accomodating and we didn't feel pressured. Overall we were very pleased and happy with our purchase. They even let us have pizza they ordered for the employees, since were famished by 2pm. One our better car buying experiences.

Mollie McGrath was wonderful when my husband and I stopped in to test out the Pathfinder. Answered all our questions with ease and no push. Explained the vehicle. After we test drove one we fell in love with it. Mollie got us all set up and even called to check on us. Has some confusion with the programing but she got us the answers and even offered to come by our house to help set it up. But after she walked us through we have it programed and my husband and I couldn't be happier. Went in w a friend to work a deal on a 2015 Rogue. Long story short... Manny, the sales manager was disrespectful, cursed, and showed me where the door was. I said nothing to deserve such derogatory treatment. Went to M'lady Nissan in Crystal Lake and received $1000 better deal on new car and $1700 more on trade in value. Manny shoes no professionalism, and I can understand why their dealership was empty while M'lady had a line 5 or 6 deep for customers to sign paperwork. Don't waste your time at this dealership. In my opinion they try to belittle you then make you you feel like you're unwelcomed. Hey McGrath, go find a new Sales Manager..., I bet you would sell a lot more cars

Service department rude and would not listen to the fact that I had letter from Nissan North America INC-- addressed to me with my car, my vin number, my address stating that there was a recall that would be paid for by Nissan for the fuel gauge displaying the wrong amount of fuel. My car ran out of gas due to this same issue as it was showing 77 miles to empty when it ran out of gas. They insisted nothing in their system and would not even look at the mailing or call corporate to see what I was talking about and they would only look at it for service fee of $130 and then I can pay to fix whatever the problem is. UNACCEPTABLE.... No accountability at all on their part.

We were in the market for an all wheel drive vehicle to replace our hail damaged (totaled) Nissan Murano. We haul a travel trailer and wanted something with more towing capacity. After test driving several brands our search was narrowed to the Pathfinder or a Ford explorer. We chose the pathfinder because we liked the ride and the amenities it offered. WHY McGrath....Every dealership we visited, including Woodfield Nisson, were either pushy, or seemed disinterested in our specific needs. (and, apparently our business !). Our McGrath experience was relaxed, un pressured, easy and, relatively quick from start to finish.Our salesman, Tony Bochenek, was nothing short of excellent ! Tony, unlike the other salesmen/dealerships we encountered, was extremely knowledgeable of all the Nisson line and their amenities. He demonstrated several Nisson vehicles that would fit our needs. And, when we decided on the Pathfinder, he made sure we understood every feature it had to offer, including the 5 yrs of free oil changes ( Woodfield offered 3) and free car washes. They, of course, located the exact color and amenity package we desired. The finance manager, in past car buying a long drawn out experience, was a waalk in the park, taking under 1/2 hour. With all the discounts, rebates,and 0% financing included ! Plus, Tony, after the sale, set up the bluetooth for the phone and Pandora as well as the ipod and ipad links and garage door opener. McGrath, and our salesman Tony, made our new car purchase a WONDERFUL experience !

I have recently purchased a new Nissan Altima from McGrath. My experience was wonderful from sales to service. I went to another dealership in the area before I went to McGrath. The other dealership jerked me around regarding price. I feel that McGrath Nissan was honest from the beginning but I was lured in to another dealership based upon an unrealistic quote. Manny Crisostomo is the rudest person I ever dealt with. I am an existing customer of McGrath Acura so decided to go over to Elgin McGrath Nissan to check out Nissan rouge with my brother. When we walked in, there were few sales associated walking around and nobody bothered to even greet us or ask what we were looking for. Finally when I approached a guy who was standing by the desk and working on the computer and he happened to be the sales manager Manny Crisostomo. I have been to several dealerships in my 6 new car buying experience and I must say I never experienced such an unfriendly person. He asked us what we are looking for, when we started telling him what we are looking for he was least bothered in what we were saying and continued working on his computer. And the worst part was when we told him about an ad from another dealership which listed an aggressive sale price for the Car, His response was Sickening he was like Just go buy it from there and started making jokes about it with his colleagues around him. He even called out at another manager who was sitting across from him and said, Look these guys are getting such and such car for this price and they all started cracking up as if they wanted to make us feel embarrassed.. This is the lowest level of customer service one can get ... I am so disappointed, I am going to talk about this experience to as many people as possible and write about this experience in every review site possible to make sure that any future customers thinking of going to Nissan Elgin should rethink their decision because of such low standard of customer support and hospitality....

My wife had an accident January 28, 2014 and the insurer of the other car unfortunately has a second rate insurance company called Safeway. Her insurer provided us with their garage list of auto body shops which we researched and found that all the body shops in our area had poor reviews from other customers. We decided to take our 2013 Nissan Rogue to McGrath Nissan in Elgin, IL. You may not know this, but you have the right by law to take your vehicle to any body shop. We selected McGrath Nissan of Elgin because of the work they did from a previous accident and we were very satisfied, unfortunately this time it turned out to be the worst experience I have ever dealt with in my life. I hope this article will inform other potential customers to stay far away from this dealer on all fronts Sales, Repairs and especially the body shop.We called McGrath Nissan in Elgin and spoke to Charles the manager of the body shop. Charles informed us that they were extremely backed up due to the winter we had and wouldnt be able to start the body repairs until February 24th. Thats almost 4 weeks from the date of the accident. The time finally arrived and we received no call from Charles at McGrath Nissan in Elgin. We called Charles and he just gave us the run around for more than a week. Finally we escalated this to upper management and spoke to Keith and then Michael. We were informed that Charles was fired because of work that was left untouched such as estimates not completed, work assigned never started, etc. Michael said he would take care of us but we would have to wait until April 10th. We were just beside ourselves that we had to wait another 3 weeks to get our 2013 Nissan Rogue repaired. The accident occurred on January 28th and it just doesnt get better.I called the body shop the first week of April to see how they were progressing and Michael at McGrath Nissan in Elgin informed me that they would be ready to take the car on April 7th. We dropped the car off with the check we received from Safeway Auto Insurance. Heres where McGrath fails miserably. We were told that the repair would take up to 6 days if the original estimate was correct. Unfortunately the duration was much longer because Safeway under estimated the cost of repairs. Michael informed us he would handle everything with Safeway Auto Insurance on getting additional money to correct the body work needed for our 2013 Nissan Rogue. On Tuesday, April 22nd almost 2 weeks later I called Michael for an update and he said he is trying to get everything completed by Thursday, but it could take until Friday, April 25th. I called Friday and Michael informed me that the car was all painted and they only needed to buff it and detail the entire car as promised, but it would not be ready until Monday, April 28th. I called Monday and left two messages with no call back until 1:20 PM which was more than 2 hours later. I finally had enough and drove down to McGrath Nissan in Elgin to check things out for myself.I arrived at McGrath Nissan in Elgin at 1:45 PM CDT and ask to see my car and Michael informed me that customers are not allowed in the body shop. I was persistent and he finally walked me to where my car was parked. The body shop was an absolute mess and it looked like something from the TV show Sanford & Sons Garage. Our 2013 Nissan Rogue was not ready for buff and a full detail, in fact the bumper was still off the car, there was a new scratch in the left rear quarter panel and the car was outside and had bird droppings on it. I was just at a loss for words and couldnt believe that Michael was dishonest after all we went through with Charles. If Nissan Corporation doesnt react and do something to correct this business, it would be very shocking from one of the best automobile manufacturers we know today. McGrath Nissan in Elgin failed on all points and as a longtime customer at McGrath Honda I couldnt believe that this brand had an ugly side. I called Keith the manager and or GM at McGrath Nissan in Elgin. I left a message Monday late afternoon and he did call me on Tuesday at 9:20 AM. I told Keith in detail everything I stated in this article and how disappointed I was for being misled about the status of the car from Michael the manager of the body shop. Keith said he would talk to Michael to get his side of the story and then call me back. Keith called and explained much of the delay was the negotiation with Safeway Auto Insurance which I already knew but that doesnt explain why Michael over promised and under delivered. I am sure this is not McGraths first rodeo with second rate insurance companies.Keith advised that our 2013 Nissan Rogue would be completed today (Tuesday) at 3:00 PM which includes fully assembled rear bumper, buff, scratch removed form left quarter panel and fully detailed. I advised Keith not to rush and that we would pick the car up on Wednesday. The wife and I arrived at 3:20 PM CDT. No Michael, No Keith. I wasnt surprised by their absence; its an admission of guilt. The lady who was there to fill in had no clue. I noticed the buffed out scratch on the left quarter panel was visible. After all we went thought you would think they would have made sure this minor issue was fixed. I gave them an extra day to do the job right!McGrath Nissan of Elgin is NOT A BODY SHOP! They put parts together and thats pretty much it. Any top notch body shop wouldnt blink an eye at a minor imperfection. The lady at McGrath Nissan of Elgin (and I promise to get her name) told us that Michael was at a funeral. Sorry for your loss but where I come from a funeral is the final day of rest so what does that have to do with why we waited over 2 months to get our vehicle in YOUR SHOP and waited over 3 weeks for a rear bumper repair? Keith you called me and said that you do not blame Michael for what happened, of course not, why would you? The customer should wait 2 months and wait another 3 weeks because thats what you think is good customer service. We also had to pay over $570 for car rental though we will get most of that back, but not all of it.You are killing the McGrath Brand.

Horrible experience. They lie and do not believe a word they say. They made my daughter's car buying experience a nightmare come true. Do not think they will keep their word. When they know it is wrong you will not get an apology, no they scurry away and leave you standing in the show room hoping you will just go away.

Where to start....Since purchasing my brand new 2013 Nissan Juke in August of 2013 ive become a pretty framiliar face at this dealership. I had a good amount of issues when I first had purchased he car which got taken care of. But when you purchase a new vehicle from this dealership they give you coupons for the service dept. Woo! I decided I would use one of the combo oil change coupons. While getting my oil change done I also had them take a look at my windshield fluid sprayers because they werent working correctly. They needed to order parts to fix it. Fine, its under warranty so im glad it happened now vs when the warranty was up. Keep in mind I have the same tech work on my car there because he is a close family friend, and possibly the only one that gives customers respect and treats my car as if it was his. So 10 stars to Clay!!! He is the best employee in this whole establishment. But regarding the parts that came in, I wanted clay to install them but he was not working the weekend I was able to come in and get my car fixed. So I brought it in an let some other tech work on it. I had to fight and argue with the service writer to get an appointment on a Saturday because that is the only day I am available. Strike 1. You shouldnt be giving your customers a hard time when theyre trying to make an appointment. Saterday comes along and I bring my car into the service area. No one did a walk around my car, just drove it in the shop and told me wait. 2, almost 3 hours later they let me know my car is done. I walk outside to my car to find 4 big stratches on the front drivers side of the car. I immediately marched back in there and asked why they neglected to tell me they scratched my car??? All I got was a run around of reasons of why it wasnt them who scratched it...."we talked to all of our employees that were working on your car and all of them said they didnt scratch it." Likely story. I would have known if those scratches were from me, but they were. And of course the ONE time I dont have my usual tech working on my car, this xxxx happens. So after giving me every excuse in the book of why it wasnt their fault, I asked to see a manager or owner. They told me the manager was out and so was the owner....without even checking first. Strike 2! Dont blatently lie to your customers. I went and walked around the dealership, and long behold, found the owner sitting in his office. The employees did a 'great' job of doing 'everything they could' to help. I explained to the owner the situation with my car and how service was refusing to fix the damage THEY had done. The owner personally looked at the scratches on my car and agreed they were done by the dealship when the car was in the car wash. He gave them direct orders to do whatever it took to fix my car, free of charge. 10 stars to Scott McGrath for being an awesome owner!!! A day had passed and I called in to make the appointment to get my car fixed....again! I had spoken with Kane. WORST MANAGER I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH IN MY LIFE, EXTREMELY RUDE!!! He told me it would take over a month to get me in for an appointment, kept cutting me off on the phone when I would ask questions, made it seem like it was huge inconvience for them. I could keep going on about how HORRIBLE Kanes service was. Long story short, this is the second time ive had to get the paint fixed on my new car of less than a year because of this dealership screwing up!! Along with countless rude employees ive had to deal with to get this issue resolved. Once I get my car fixed, I will NEVER be returning here unless it is a warranty issue. Get some respectful employees who know what theyre doing and know how to treat customers right!!!

My husband and I test drove two vehicles (Rogue and Murano) earlier in the week (Tuesday?). Rony Durate is the sales associate who helped us. We are looking for a used car. We are unsure of what kind of car yet, but we want a Nissan. We came into the dealership today (Thursday) to try an Altima. We asked for Rony because he helped us earlier in the week. Immediately Rony was unfriendly and seemed irritated. We asked to drive a used Altima and we were refused because we would not fill out a credit report. From what I gathered, I believe Rony thought that he was wasting his time because we were probably not going to purchase the car today. Rony had a scowl on his face the entire time and was rude, disrespectful, and smug. I will never recommend anyone to visit any McGrath dealers, especially the McGrath Nissan in Elgin.We are going to purchase a Nissan. Now, it will be from another dealer. Joe and Cary Vodraska

My experince at this nissan dealer was bad I bought a 2010 Nissan maxima months later not even a year my front bumper paint starter cracking I called the dealer talked too Kathy comer explained her my situation she said take it in for pictures see what we can do took it in she took pictures and said will call you or come next week I did go. got out of work early too go to the Nissan dealer when I got there she told me Kane meland was in a meeting that he couldn't help me so she said come back next week so I lost 2 hours of work too go to this dealer and I went the following week she gave me the run around for 3 weeks almost till fourth week I could talk too Kane he said he couldn't do nothing for me I'ma end up paying 26 thousand for a maxima that has a bumper messed up cracked paint I was really disappointed too sell cars yea there right there but too get service very bad. I don't recommend NOBODY to car shop in here would never buy a car here ever again

I recently purchased a brand new 2013 Nissan Juke from this dealership. My salesman was super nice and not pushy like most, which i really appreciated since it was my first time purchasing a brand new car. He answered all my questions and let us test drive and check out whatever car I wanted. After finally finding the color and options I wanted, we found a match and started the paperwork. I got a pretty good deal and am happy with my new car. On the negative side, the car had two very decent scratches on and it was brand new, so now I have to make an appointment and give back my car to the dealership so they can fix it, (free of charge) but still very inconvenient since I had literally just purchased the car and wont even have it a week before I have to bring it back for service on the body. The porters did a very bad job at cleaning up the car for me, there was still dust and finger marks and smudges all over the car. And the fuse to activate all my electric features was never pulled to activate it, so it was confusing at first when i could unlock or lock my car with the remote, etc. So we had to go back and ask them to do that as well because they forgot to. So overall my salesman experience was great and friendly, but the overall service for my car when it was presented to me after purchasing it was horrible. I will be contacting the dealership, upon going in to service the body work for the scratches. Hopefully for all my inconveniences they can extend my xm radio for a year or something, cause this wasn't how I wanted my first car buying experience to go.

This has been my second experience with McGrath and they have exceeded my expectations!!! I think it's wonderful that Rueben offered to lift the car right away to see what was going on with it. Although I couldn't stay to do that he called within an hour of me leaving and let me know what was going on with the car and how much I was looking at for repairs. He said that he would need to order the parts and I can come pick up the car and drive it until the parts came in or I could choose to get a rental but the choice was all mine. I also think it's great that the service department went above and beyond and did a quick fix of the muffler so when I do drive it the next few days it is not as loud. I live right done the road from another Nissan dealership and their customer service is so poor, I think the employees from that dealership should experience the quality customer service McGrath has shown me!!!

I contacted the dealer's internet sales department regarding a used car. I was traveling about 2 hours so I wanted some details before making the trip. Since the history report was not online, I asked the internet sales person to review with me. Reading from the report, she told me that the vehicle was from a loyal customer, that the customer had a fender bender and the vehicle was repaired at their shop, and other than that, it was a clean history report. I made the trip with the intentions of inspecting and purchasing. I arrived and drove the vehicle, and when I went inside I asked to see the history report. The first item on the list was that it had been a Nissan repurchase under the "lemon" program. I walked right away. When directly asked on the phone, the salesperson chose to ignore the facts, I'm guessing in the hopes I wouldn't ask when inspecting the vehicle. Regardless of my feeling about the vehicle being a lemon, I left because I could no longer trust the dealership.

I arrived at the dealership to get an oil change on my 2008 Nissan versa. There was an awful noise coming from the engine so I brought in my car for an oil change and service. While I was waiting I was looking at the new cars when Fareed greeted me, he looked as if he had just arrived to work still with his coat on. He asked me if he could help me out and I asked him about the trade in program for new cars. He was more than helpful, he took the time to go over the program and checked on my credit and we both decided that my best choice would be to buy a new car. He was excellent!

Ryan Petrulakis (the sales representative) and I agreed to an overall "deal" which included my trade in and a dollar amount that I agreed to pay in addition to the trade in for a 2013 Altima. This was done through a couple of phone conversations and emails. I drove to the dealership from Wisconsin (about 2 hours) after work only to find out that they would not honor the agreed upon price (it was several hundred dollars more). Ryan said it was contingent upon my trade in being in the condition I stated over the phone. There was no mention of there being any problem with the trade in. The sales manager, Keith Kowalczyk, did not back the agreed upon price either, saying "we already have too much invested in your trade," and "the Illinois documentation fee is part of every deal." He was very rude and pressuring. Before Ryan agreed to my offer saying "we've got a deal," I specifically said that the amount I would add to the trade in would include everything except sales tax (which I would pay upon returning to Wisconsin). There was an additional $164 documentation fee, and a $10 fee for the drive away sticker/tag. Ryan did not mention either of these fees during our negotiations. I specifically told Ryan that any additional fees were to be included as part of the money I would add to the deal on top of the trade in. In addition, I had arranged to pay the sales tax with the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles after purchasing the vehicle. The dealership collected sales tax (based on the Wisconsin rate) in advance and the finance person, Dan, who did the paperwork with me said they would mail a check to me by the beginning of the next week to reimburse me for these taxes so I could them pay the state of Wisconsin. He lied, and it took 5 weeks for the check to finally get sent to me. In addition, 3 of the accessories for the vehicle that Ryan and I agreed would be included were not available and ready at the time of delivery. I had to pressure Keith Kowalczyk to put the mud guards on. He tried to pressure me into having him order them and then come back to have them installed (again, it's a 2 hour drive from my home). He also offered to mail them to me, but I would then have to pay the local dealer to install them. Ryan and I also agreed on touch up paint and a cargo net as part of the deal, which he forgot about. It took several emails and phone calls to get them delivered to my home, which was 5 weeks later. I have purchased 7 new vehicles in the past 20 years, from several other dealers, and have never had such a negative, unethical experience.

got transmission replaced under warranty. vehicle started making loud vibrating sound, car would hesitate around 30 miles per hour. was told to replace transmission mount and would start from there. they could not figure it out. told me i already put a free transmission in it just get in your car and leave.

After a bad experience at another dealership, I called McGrath Nissan and talked with Tony. He was professional, friendly and very accommodating. I went in, he worked my daughter and me on all the requests we had and provided a great deal on the car that she really wanted. I generally despise the car buying experience but this pretty good, quick and painless. The showroom is nice; not pretentious, and the sales guys were all friendly and professional. I have been loyal Nissan Owner for number of years now as I own Nissan Altima and Nissan Quest. Recently, Mcgrath Nissan located in Elgin, IL sent me a letter requesting that my Altima is in high demand in used car lineup and they are willing to offer me competitive pricing if I made a visit. If nothing works out at least they will offer me is an Oil change with car wash. I was excited with the price tag and wanted to stopby and see if I qualify and get to check out new line up of Altima. I went to dealer and I had forgotten to bring the letter they had sent me. The guys upfront told me don't worry about that and we will take of you. So, they prepared the quote and I took a test drive for some new Nissan lineups. As they gave me the quote but I didn't like the price so I decided not to take the offer. But now the guys were so rude to me and my wife saying that we need the letter for to get the free oil change. What a change in customer service from the time I went in Dealership with positive attitude, they completely flipped 360 and giving me run around for one free oil change. I could not believe how stingy they had behaved with me and could not be treated more disrespectful in my life. I was very disappointed when I talked to the Manager and even General Manager, Keith Kowalczyk. He told me flat that we can't do anything without the letter. As a courtesy, at least they could do is give me a better response than disrespected ill-treatment and run around. I would never visit that dealership again. Also, the customer service they offered since our offer didn't go through could not be any worse. I was very disappointed with their customer service.

Horrible experience. Felt like I was being attacked. Car salesmen tried to get me to a lease a vehicle when I clearly told him multiple times I was not interested. He however would not leave it alone and said "thats not a good enough reason" . Sales manager was arrogant and unfriendly. He basically said that I didnt know what I was talking about when the previous day I received an interest rate over 2 points lower then his. Did not work with you at all. He sat there and lectured me on what other people at other dealerships bought cars for, which I could care less what someone else at some other place bought their car for. Worst car buying experience. I walked out and went to Schaumburg and bought a new car, and received an interest rate over 3 points lower then what Elgin could provide. AVOID this dealership at all costs.

I live in Omaha Nebraska and found the vehicle I wanted (2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse) on autotrader.com. in June of this year(2012) I callled McGrath Nissan in Elgin, Illinois and talked with Matt. He was very friendly and helpful. We talked at length about the car since I wouldnt be able to actually see and drive the car in person until I made the long drive from Omaha to Elgin. After telling Matt that I needed to know if there were ANY issues with the car, mechanically or otherwise since I was purchasing the car and driving a very long distance to pick it up. He did tell me that there was a big "gash" on the dash and a few rock chips but other than that, the car was PERFECT! One owner and CLEAN CARFAX!! When I expressed to him that I really wanted a car that was in excellent condition, they fixed the gash on the dash. We negotiated a deal over the phone and soon after drove to Elgin, Illinois from Omaha, Nebraska. After arriving at the dealership, we drove and looked over the car. Everything seemed great.Well, a few months later, after hearing a noise that the car was making, I took it in to a Mitsubishi dealer and they told me that the first owner must have ran over something and damaged the power steering. It was "patched up" with NON FACTORY PARTS. It will cost $1,300 for me to fix!! The dealer said to call McGrath and see if they would do anything to help me out with that (I'm sure they knew this info and did not disclose it to me!!) And since I purchased the car IN GOOD FAITH. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when the manager I talked with at McGrath very rudely told me that sorry, they would not help with anything. I have purchased many cars over the years but NEVER have been screwed over like this!!!!

McGrath Nissan sent over a mailer to my home about a big sale as the dealership is liquidating inventory. There was a contest where we scratched off a piece of their mailer and the mailer came with a car key that claimed that it can earn us a new car.My father and I, (Manish Sheth, Streamwood), visited with the intent to see what used cars were available, and at what prices.I have been looking for a used car, 2008 or newer, with some luxury features.The salesman that I worked with introduced my farther and I right in the parking lot, sat us down and showed us some cars.One car that I was interested in talking more about was a Maxima for about $28,000.With my trade-in (appx worth $4,500) and a little bargaining from the dealership, my father and I were only hoping to spend around $21,000, never really having the intent to purchase that day, but to just perform some research.Once the salesman sat us down, he had us sign a paper with some figures, the approximate monthly payment, and down payment amounts, etc.I was also asked to provide personal information like SSN, address, occupation, income, etc. I was PROMISED that my credit was not going to be ran, and no loan applications would be made, but simply this information would be reviewed.Once a sales manager returned with some numbers and we went back and forth on price, clearly indicating that we did not intend to buy that day, and that the dealer was giving us a GREAT deal for the car, but was just a little out of budget - the salesman began getting upset and rude and asking why I even asked to talk about a car in this price range, etc.Once our price was not met, we shook hands and agreed to walk away.The salesman joked to throw my used car's keys at me, then followed me out to the parking lot.The salesman then asked me to stop just before I entered my car to leave and indicated..."people from [your] country make it impossible for people like [me] to service them".With the complete shock that the salesman would make such a derogatory and discriminatory comment, I stared and replied why [he] would make this about race, then simply decided to walk into my car.The salesman then proceeded to yell obscenities at me and my father, things that should not be repeated. At this point I returned to the store entrance to find a manager to explain what had happened, but instead of being heard, I was asked to leave the private property otherwise the police would be informed to escort me.Once this horrible day was complete, I received a call from my mortgage broker as I was in the middle of re-financing my home and was told that McGrath Nissan had applied on my behalf for a car loan with over 7 financial institutions, many of which being rejected and resulting in a drop of my credit score by over 60 points.I completely regret ever visiting McGrath Nissan, have asked the dealership to take me off of their mailing list and have been pleading with my broker and lender to allow the refinance to proceed.Everyone should hear this experience to understand what kind of salesman this dealership chooses to employ.

After doing my "homework" I looked for quotes from several dealers for a specific Nissan Altima. In the end, McGrath Nissan was wher I purchased the new car because the staff let me but on my timeline and not theirs and the price I walked out the door with was amazing. I had recieved many lower quotes online originally but all of those dealers had excuses why I didn't qulaify for that price as I continued to pursue them. Everyone at McGrath worked as a team to make me comfortable and there was never any pressure to buy. Matt was very thorough, knowledgable, and respectful of my time. I don't know If I have ever met a Sales Mgr who has the base of knowledge and experience at selling cars any greater than Manny. You may think you are getting a lower price at other dealers, but do come to McGrath and I assure you that you will not be sorry you did.

Let me say first, I was not looking to buy a new car at all. I was looking at Mitsubishi before Nissan. Mitsubishi, well I didn't get a whole lot of "I want to sell you a car" energy. So we left the Mitsubishi place and drove down a little to this Nissan dealership.Met Steve Vlagos, extremely polite!!, not one of those overbearing sales type people. And funny, what a sense of humor!! They didn't have a whole lot of used Versas at the time, so we looked at the new ones. Thinking is wasn't going to buy anything, just for fun we test drove the new one. My, the drive was nice, Steve let us drive and talk. He answered our questions, told us of all the neat features.A test drive later, we were seriously thinking about buying a NEW Nissan Versa!!We didn't know where we wanted to be as far as price, because as I mentioned, we were not in the market for a new car. But we talked, expressed our concerns, budget wise and they managed to get my car priced to a payment I was comfortable with. No high pressure, Steve was again, very polite, and knowledgeable.This is our first Nissan, but if we happen to decide to buy another one, definitely will go to McGrath Nissan to see Steve Vlagos.Thanks!!Esther

We worked with Matthew Velez, and he was wonderful to work with. He took all the time we needed to explain all our questions and thoroughly went through the workings of our new car step by step. I feel he worked hard to get us a fair deal that was equitable for all. We had a question about something before we left the dealership at about 9:30 p.m., and by noon the next day we had our answer. He assured us if at any time we had any question or problem to call and even gave us his cell phone number if we needed to get ahold of him.

I recently moved to Elgin last month. Upon arriving my vehicle decided to finally give up the ghost and died on me. I asked around to some fellow co-workers at my new job and was told McGrath would be the best place to go to, so that's what I did. I initially contacted the dealership via email and got into contact with Chris. He was on top of every question I had and was extremely helpful. He went the extra mile in detail for every question I had with no pressure. I made a date and time to stop out to the dealership but unfortunately do to my work schedule I was not able to line up a time directly with Chris. However he referred me to Marco Lopez whom I met when I arrived. Marco and Chris made the experience seamless for me. Everything Chris had told me through our exchanges via email was passed on to Marco without a single detail missing. Marco was awesome! Professional, knowledgable and courteous. Everything from walking through the door to driving away in my new Versa was seamless and awesome. Before I left I did get to meet Chris, who went out of his way to find me as he knew I was there that day. Chris, Marco, and Robert (a manager) all made me feel comfortable, and made me feel really good about purchasing from McGrath. I got a great deal, a great vehicle, and a great experience. McGrath really helped me out. As a young married couple new to the area, my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. I will be reccomending Marco and Chris to anyone looking for a vehicle. Thanks McGrath! You did it right!

Ryan was excellant as well as Manny. My wife and I could not believe how hard they both worked to get us into a 2012 Nissan Rouge. I recieved a flyer in the mail and thought why not see if this was a true deal which most are not. This one was not only real they were able to get me into a new lease when i still had 10 months left on my old one. I belive Mr. McGrath had something to do with this so we need to let him know we are truly greatfull for the help. When I walked into McGrath Nissan, my original purpose was to compare pricing and vehicles from a number of different dealerships. After meeting Steven and taking a test drive in a Versa, I knew this was the car I wanted. Although basic, it had everything I needed and was economical on gas.Steven is quite knowlegdeable about the cars, was no-pressure and was extremely respectful and polite. By the time the deal was done and all of the paperwork had been signed, it was 10:30 at night. They all stayed late, including the porter, in order for me to drive away with my new car.Everyone at McGrath Nissan works hard for the customer and I will definitely recommend this dealership to everyone I know who might be looking for a good, reliable vehicle.

They searched for my car. Because of the disaster in Japan, the JUKE is very difficult to find. They set out to find the car I was looking for so I didn't have to spend my time trying to find it. Very helpful and nice. Easy to work with.

The internet department is a scam. They will quote you a very low price just to lure you in and then when you show up at the dealership they will add 10 different fees to bump up the price. Sales manager Manny is just outright rude and impolite. I had asked them to quote a 2011 Nissan Murano SL AWD. They quoted me a demo car and did not mention it in the quote. When I visited the dealership after a 50 mile drive they did not have the vehicle they quoted me. Very dishonest. I think the owner and the GM should reflect on the bad reviews they get since those are the potential sales they lose. I got a better deal from another dealership who were honest. So if you receive internet quote be prepared when the price of the car is not what the quote says.

My husband was in an auto accident here in WI the first week of June 2011. Knowing we needed to replace our totaled vehicle, we began our search. We were fairly specific on wanting to replace it with as similiar a vehicle as possible. We drove 2 hours and I can honestly say, it was worth it. Our salesman, Ryan, was outstanding! Very friendly and was so attentive. The finance team was also wonderful working with the limited resources we had to ensure we could drive home our vehicle the same day. I would definitely recommend McGrath Nissan to anyone and would definitely return!

I researched the car I wanted online ahead of time, a superblack 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5SL, spoke with Todd over the phone to make sure the car was available, he was very frindly and informative about the car, and offered me the internet pricing upfront. I came into the dealership with my family the next evening and spoke with Darryl who was very friendly and accomodating. Darryl was very attentive to us, he got us drinks and offered to get sandwiches from Subway for my children. The car I wanted to see was being used by the dealership owner's daughter as a demo, so I had to wait awhile till she brought it back in to see it. Molly McGrath apologized to us for having the car and was sorry we had to wait. Both Darryl and Keith answered all our questions and their laid-back, low-pressure attitude and sense of humor was very pleasing to deal with. We felt like we were buying a car from old friends. I feel we got a good deal, fair price for my trade in and a great car in return! It was a late night and they stayed open past closing time to finish closing the deal. Never thought I'd ever buy an extended warranty, never have before, but they offered me a very low interest rate and the extra cost was a wash. Elgin was a long drive from my home in Wonder Lake, IL but the drive was worth it. I'm very happy I bought my car at McGrath Nissan, and look forward to bringing my car there for service, should I need it.

We had a great experience with McGrath Nissan of Elgin, IL. Their was no pressure by the salesman or sales manager at all. Out salesman, Steve Vlagos was very friendly and informative about the cars we looked at. We test drove several Nissan's before we decided on buying the Nissan Sentra. We traded our car in and felt we received a good deal. Financing was easy and they were offering a rebate and 0.9% financing at the time. We would recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to purchase a car.

We did a lot of research on purchasing the car. We visited 9 dealerships to test drive and personally view possible cars. As a result, we decided on a used Nissan Rogue with all wheel drive and the SL options. From the internet information, we made a list of dealers and the cars there. Our first choice was the car at McGrath Nissan. My daughter drove the car on its test drive. My wife, myself, and the salesman accompanied her. The car performed as expected and had the options that my daughter wanted. We traded in the Jeep that she had been driving and were able to obtain a fair price for the car with a trade. The salesman was polite, helpful, and informative. I would recommend the dealership for the purchase of a vehicle.

I chose McGrath Nissan since I have had very good experiences with McGrath Honda in St. Charles. I had done my research and had internet quotes with competitive pricing. I went to Mcgrath after having a bad experience at another dealer. I called ahead to see if the car I was interested in was available and talked with Todd. He was pleasant and his knowledge of the altima helped narrow down my options. When I went into the dealer I met with Todd and Steven. They both were very helpful. Had a wonderful experience! Started out this experience at home emailing Todd. Who was very informative, professional and prompt with getting back to me with any and all questions I had. I met with Todd at the dealership who introduced us to Miguel who then got us out to the vehicle for a test drive. Miguel was an awesome salesman! He was very friendly, outgoing and down to earth even joking with us. My young children were even entertained for the 4+ hours we were there. He really made this experience great for us with no pressures.We originally went to the dealership to lease a 2010 Altima and left buying a 2008 Certified Altima. Manny finally found a monthly price we could afford through some other financing options. The only thing is, I wished he would've offered this in the beginning. We could've sealed the deal alot sooner. Love the vehicle and the experience we had here! The staff was very friendly and we didn't feel pressured to leave with a vehicle. Went for service for my Armada. Decided to try McGrath Nissan because of issues with Anderson Nissan, which was the purchasing dealer. Also, I have a company car that is maintained by McGrath Honda. Back in the day, my dad was a mechanic for McGrath Buick, and they had the highest customer satisfaction in the region. Mollie the sales person was nice,polite,friendly - the main reason I went back there. I told her what I could afford. She called many times offering incentives, discounts and cash back. Great we had our number! She sent me an email confirming the amount of the check that I had to write to drive the car home. Unfortunately when we got there, KEITH - the unfriendly financial manager -presented me with a different number and would not honor or negotiate the amount that was agreed on. It is Keith's way or the highway, literally. And his answer was "too bad you were given the wrong number, this is the right number". Even though he had the email in his hand, he would not negotiate or honor. He is arrogant, dishonest and made the experience a nightmare. Classic BAIT AND SWITCH. If you really have to buy a Nissan, go to a different dealer. Say NO to MCGRATH.

I went in just to test drive a new are and ended up buying a car. All in all it went well enough. But there were a few thing that irritated me. First when we where taking about the trade in they gave an ok deal, but when returning with the vehicle for trade and asking for an increase in the value this was met with a giggle and a walk away from the salesmen like we were joking, "I WAS NOT JOKING". Second when getting financing they pulled a switch saying they were going to save me money but it was a lie and by the time I cough it the lone had already gone trough. I was planning on the 2.9% for 60 months, but the financier says that if I go with a 5.79% i will save around $400 plus I will get a $500 rebate. He (Kieth) did not explain how this going to be but I said OK because I was in a rush, not smart. After doing the math i figured he saved me the money by NOT figuring in the down payment I had already made earlier that day, but he did not forget it on the 5.79% loan. Lastly on the paperwork it doesn't even day 5.79% but 4.39%, he did not mention this either. So I am now owing another $1000 in interest do to a blatant lie.

I have been a HIGHLY satisfied customer of McGrath Nissan in Elgin since 1991. I have owned Nissans since 1976. I purchased a 1993 Nissan Maxima from Scott McGrath in 1995, trading in my 1986 Nissan Stanza with 138,000 miles on it. The service managers, Reuben and Cynthia, and "my" mechanic, Joe Schock, have always accommodated my schedule to service my cars. My 17 year old car-with over 300,000 miles-was kept running in excellent condition by this service team. Unfortunately, it was totaled in an accident in September, 2010. Unbelievably, this followed my 2000 Maxima-with over 180,000 miles-being totaled in an accident in August, 2010. Both rear-end collisions; fortunately I walked away from both without injury. Dan Self (Body Shop Mgr) dealt with both collisions and expedited all paperwork with my insurance company in an efficient manner. Needless to say, I was immediately rendered without a car. I called Scott McGrath and asked him to help me find a used Nissan Maxima as a replacement. He contacted Steve Stanley (General Manager). Within 2 hours, Steve contacted me to ask what kind of car I would need, including price limit and accessories. Since I walked away from 2 major car accidents within a 2 week period, I was set on another Maxima. The following day, Steve called me with 3 cars that fit my needs and budget. A rental car was arranged until we completed a purchase. Keith Kowalczyk (Sales Manager) explained extended warranties to us and completed the paperwork. Reuben,Cynthia, and Joe were sincere in their concern for my welfare when they heard my second car (1993 Maxima) - "MAXINE" as it was referred to- was brought in and totalled.I have always felt "special" and "like family" whenever I have come to McGrath Nissan. During this recent experience, my husband commented on how "wonderfully" McGrath Nissan took care of me and my cars-from service to sales. He was most impressed with their professional, respectful manner and commitment to customer satisfaction. We are definitely going to continue our service with McGrath Nissan (Elgin) in the future. Additionally, we are very happy with our "new" 2006 Nissan Maxima and hope to see it reach over 300,000 miles too!!!
