I bought a used 2014 Challenger in August 2015.I live in Naperville, but came to Liberty Auto because they had a Challenger in header orange that I couldn't find anywhere else.Vince was great to deal with and has checked in with me several times since my purchase to see if I was satisfied.I got a great car and I would recommend Liberty Auto City to everyone, and ask for Vince.

I went with my daughter to find a well maintained and reliable used car, that was reasonable. Vince went above and beyond to ensure the vehicle we purchased was truly what we wanted without the typical car salesman pressure. Vince and Liberty Auto City treated us as well as if we were purchasing a luxury vehicle. This is a testament to the care they have for their customers. While their job is to sell cars, they are respectful enough to do so without high pressure, which I appreciate! If you're in the market for a new or used car, definitely put Liberty Auto City on your list of dealers to go to, and ask for Vince.

I leased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler a week ago. Chris Acker was my sales person. He is knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy. He was off the day I picked up the car but he made sure his team take good care of me, and he called the next day to check if everything went well and that I am happy with what I got. Everyone I worked with there were very friendly. I have purchased a car from them 3 years ago, and I will go back again for my next car. I have gotten nothing but great service from here.

Try dealing on a truck and had one phone conversation which was short and was told to email once the email and process began I was offered a ridiculous trade in value and tried to buy the truck out right and they stopped emailing And the salesman was not professional in the least

I was contacted by Patrick via email. He was persistent but was able to back it up with a great price on a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I was about to purchase a car from a different dealership and took the time to return emails to other dealerships to inform them I found a car-stop the emails. Patrick was the only dealership to reply that if I had not taken possession to contact him. I did. He quoted me $1500 less than the dealership I was about to purchase at. I contacted the salesman from the other dealership and he replied, "Go for it." They could not beat the price offered from Liberty City Auto.Patrick was up front and answered/replied to all my questions and emails in a timely manner. When I went to seal the deal, I had done my homework in regards to an extended warranty and financing. I knew what I wanted and they did not "strong arm" me into other unnecessary offers. My only disappointment up to know is the free lifetime car wash. I drove 24 miles round trip excited about my first free car wash. It ended up a disappointment. They took the car immediately and must have drove it through a automatic car wash-or just rinsed it off- and returned it without drying it. I made the mistake of tipping the worker before looking at the car. Wasted time and money. Will not be going back for a wash. The dealership itself seemed smaller than other ones I visited and did not offer free ice cream or snacks. Just small beverages. I guess that's why they are able to offer such a great price. Not a lot of overhead.

DO NOT BY A CAR FROM HERE. I purchased a car with a sky slider and complained about issue multiple times. They dismissed it and said nothing is wrong. 2 years later they want me to pay $4800 to get my sky slider fixed and take 0 accountability.

Thought I found a good price on a used car. To find out the games Liberty Auto City plays. From Will not fix your car check rims and get everything in writing. Service will bend license plate parts off trade in. To use on the new one. Tell you to come back to fix. To only refuse. Financing likes gap even if you say no. They will do points to charge you for it. Showed the scratches in the online photos for them to say the dealers honest customers lie. Seen 2 others come in to service for them to say no we will not fix that. They had to get sales and argue it out. This is a bad dealership and service. Do not trust at all!!!

Needed to share our Positive Buying Experience at Liberty Auto City. Our sales person (Nick Nennig) was the best. He was straight forward in his knowledge of the vehicle that we purchased. Nick was easy going, not pushy and let us know about all the features and incentives in a very professional way. The rest of the sales staff were fun to interact with as they all invited us to bring our dog into the showroom. The next thing we saw was about 8 or 9 sales people playing ball with our dog. We felt a real family atmosphere, and fun people to be with at Liberty Auto City. Overall, our buying experience was hassle free and we would recommend that you stop in and check them out. Thanks once again to Nate and all of the staff.

So I came in for a recall and decided to an oil change also. The tech comes and says the dipstick happened to break. So I'm alike you all need to change it. Why should I pay for it. I haven't had a problem before. They refused and offered to pay for half, which I'm sure was still more than their cost.

Complete waste of money. Each time my car was repaired there was more damage done. Either a hose was not replaced, something was not put back, fluids were over or under filled or repairs were done using old parts. I do not recommend this service center unless you enjoy constantly having your car worked on.

Yesterday we bought our sixth vehicle from Liberty Auto City since 2000. The reason we continue to deal with Liberty is threefold. First the line of vehicle cannot be matched in our opinion; we have had 2-Jeep Grand Cherokees, Chrysler 300 and 200 and 2- Dodge Ram 1500. Secondly the sales staff and financial staff are experts in offering the lineup , methods of finance ,and warrantee. Lastly and the most needed team is the service department, they are experts in maintaining and repairing our vehicle which are very sophisticated machines that require a great deal of technical training. Go to Liberty Auto City and you will not be disappointed.

I had the vehicle I wanted in mind for quite some time. My husband and I decided to go over to Liberty Auto City one evening to get information on the vehicle, possibly take a test drive and or see what options were available to me. I had no intentions on buying for another month or so. We were met by a gentleman by the name of Chris Acker and began discussions about the Wrangler Sahara. Instantly, I found Chris knew his stuff but more importantly he stopped to ask me what about the Sahara model interested me. He took the time to ask questions and to learn where my mindset was and able to gauge my needs without being overbearing or pushy. I test drove two versions of the Sahara, the one I thought I wanted and the one Chris and my husband thought was the "best of the best." To make a long story short, I chose the one they recommended and took delivery the next day. I must admit, I did my homework, knew my numbers and knew what I wanted, Chris helped put the icing on the cake. I could tell he was confident with the brand and just gave me recommendations and his expert opinion. Not only was he personable and attentive. He made the buying process my best one yet and I have purchased/leased several times over. Again, leaving the house with dinner in the oven, I had no intention on staying at the dealership as long as we did. Thankfully, Chris and his colleagues (F&I manager, GM and associates) were very accommodating and helped us out, even with snacks as we continued to learn about the vehicle and final decision making. I appreciate their assistance and willingness to put the customer first. An art form that is sometimes lost in our fast paste world. I highly recommend Chris Acker to anyone looking to buy from Liberty Auto City. He is a true professional and my buying experience was a dream just like my new RIDE! I visited Liberty Auto City a few weeks ago looking to just test drive a new Jeep and walked away that night with the same Jeep I test drove! Everyone was super friendly and cooperative with my needs for a safe vehicle. I always feel like I'm living in a small town when I take my Mazda 6 in for an oil change. Everyone there treats me as if they've known me forever. Mostly I just leave my car there, but a few times I have used their waiting area, and it is also very user friendly. It has everything I need, including free Wifi, so I never dread having to wait for my car. Also, I feel safe in my car, because they always make sure to warn me when something might need replacing on a future visit, and they go out of their way to fix it quickly if I am going to be driving far in the next few days.

Chris Acker made the who process of purchasing a 2011 Honda Odyssey smooth and painless. Chris took his time to let me test drive the vehicle and he allowed me to experience the car ride (driving through bumpy roads, driving on high speed road, making a sharp U turn, making a hard stop, etc.). Although Chris specializes in Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, & Ram, he was able to answer most of my questions on the Odyssey. When Chris did not know an answer, he was very straightforward and honest with me and he spent time to find the answers. The finance part took awhile but it was not as bad as I thought and at the end I did receive a decent deal. Overall the dealership is very accommodating and friendly; a handful of times they offered a beverage and when it was time for prayer they were able to find a quiet area for me to perform my prayer. I would highly recommend to purchase a vehicle at this dealership and ask for Chris Acker to help you purchase your new vehicle.

Liberty Auto City was so helpful when I wanted to purchase my NEW Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I got exactly what I wanted and it was a very easy process. Patrick and I exchanged emails for a couple days before I could make it into the dealership and I couldn't ask for any better service. I just want to say that if you are looking for a dealership to give you the best...you MUST go to Liberty Auto City. I have been to several dealerships looking for cars in the past, but I will NEVER go anywhere else. The friendly staff at Liberty Auto City made me feel right at home. I worked with Patrick online and he was simply the best. Not only did he respond to my inquiry online very quickly but he also answered ALL of my many questions. He was quick and to the point and really valued my time while searching for the best vehicle. I immediately set an appointment to to in and meet with him. When I got to Liberty Auto City, I was greeted warmly and taken care of, and I couldn't ask for more. I was introduced to my salesman Michael Croft right away. The buying experience was great, from Chris Acker, my salesperson, to the manager and the finance man, Mark. The dealership bought my lease with no questions asked, and they worked with my budget. They are down to earth businessmen and women...not the standard dealership using slick means to sell you a car. I found this dealership because I didn't like the one I leased a car from. The experience I had dealing first via email and then in person with Liberty Auto City regarding the purchase of a 2014 Dodge Challenger RT 100th anniversary edition went the way I like car buying to be. When I first inquired on-line about a specific vehicle in inventory at this dealership, I received several friendly, no-pressure responses from Patrick that included real prices that they would sell that vehicle for including only the rebates and discounts applicable to me. That pricing was very competitive when compared to the advertised prices of other dealers in the area. When I finally decided to seriously investigate in person several similar cars at this dealership, I was greeted very warmly and casually by Patrick who then set me up with wise, friendly, and low-key salesperson Dan Magana. After taking an initial test drive with me, Dan allowed me to take multiple longer test drives in several different vehicles by myself to decide which, if any, of them met or exceeded my expectations. Dan recognized that I was well-informed about the specific vehicle I was interested in and that I would need to make up my mind on my own if I was going to move forward with a purchase and allowed me the "space" I needed to do so. I had also done my homework concerning all of the discounts and rebates which were currently available for the specific type of Dodge vehicle I was looking at. This dealership met me where I had planned to be on a selling price for this vehicle with little negotiating once I showed them how I arrived at the discounted price I was willing to pay for the car. Dan Magana made me feel quite comfortable while I was making up my mind whether or not to purchase the car that day and in making the deal at a price I wanted to pay. Dan then personally 'delivered' the car to me on a designated day, showing my wife and I how to operate the various features in the vehicle with which I was not familiar. Dan also introduced me to the owner of this dealership whom I found also to be very cordial, down-to-earth, and truly interested in ensuring my satisfaction as one of his customers. Dan Magana has also called me twice since I made my purchase simply to follow up to see that I am happy with my new car and to make sure I called him if any questions arose about it. I would recommend to anyone considering the purchase or lease of a new Dodge, Chrysler, or Ram vehicle to give Liberty Auto City a chance to meet their wants and needs. If they also request to be taken care of by Dan Magana, he will 'let the vehicles sell themselves' and will aim to provide a pleasant no-pressure experience so a customer will truly want to return to this dealership.

I bought my first Jeep at Liberty many yeras ago. Since then I have purchased four (4) other Jeeps from Liberty Auto. When I answered a phone call asking me to stop by & see the 2014 Jeeps that were being sold, I had no intention of purchasing a 2014 Jeep Cherokee and trading my 2012 in. When I looked at the final "out the door" price I told Chris that although it was a good looking deal, I had to say no. When I walked out the door, the rain & hail were so bad that I just stayed in my Jeep & phoned my wife. I told her about the $$$ numbers offered me. She convinced me to take the deal. I went back in to see Chris again. He was surprised I'm sure, & asked me what was wrong. I said "nothing wrong. I'm back to take the deal. Which I did and am happy I did ever since. My wife loves the car & is thinking about one for herself - maybe a 2015. Chris jhas been very patient with us as well as very helpful. I hope he stayes on with Liberty for a long time..

This is the third car that I bought from Liberty Auto City and my ONLY salesman is Dan Magana. Dan is outgoing, a very people person - someone that you can not help but like. He takes time with people, was cooperative, finds out answers if he does not know them. He is willing to walk the extra mile to help people even if it interrupts his day off. He is well informed about the product line, competent, considerate, with a little fun included. I have interacted with the owner, the General Manger, Service and Sales, and I have never had any problems at the dealership. Liberty always seems to be on their A game. Suggestion for ALL dealerships: There has to be a way to speed up the buying process. It takes forever and many people do not have the time to sit and wait. Lost sales due to waiting are costly, unnecessary for any dealership.

Our daughter was wanting to buy a new Jeep. This would be her very first rodeo! Went to a Jeep dealer in Gurnee (will never go there again) and the salesman "Brian" really didn't give her the time of day! We were gone within 10 minutes. Coming from Northwest Indiana, Liberty Auto City was quite the hike. But after finding the exact car I had been searching for on their website, I made the trek to Libertyville. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful showroom and smiling faces that greeted me at the front entrance. Chris Acker, the salesman who I corresponded with about the Jeep Wrangler I was interested in, warmly welcomed me and had the Jeep Wrangler pulled up to the front within minutes, ready for a test-drive. Chris provided me with useful facts and information about the vehicle during our test-drive, while still incorporating friendly conversation on things not related to either the car or Liberty Auto City-which was refreshing. Throughout the entire process (two trips total: one trip by myself, one trip a few days later with my dad), Chris, along with the rest of the staff at Liberty Auto City, provided my dad and I with exceptional customer service and did a fantastic job of ensuring that we were well taken care of during our time spent at their dealership. The one and only downfall that was found while at Liberty Auto City, was the choice of music that was chosen to blast over the speakers in the showroom. 96.3 (B96) was playing, and quite frankly that is far from any kind of music I would like to hear while deciding on the purchase of a new vehicle. I'm astounded that a dealership as upscale as Liberty Auto City would chose B96 as their showroom soundtrack.

The first person I dealt with, Jerry, was very nice. Made good conversation, offered me and my father bottles of water and coffee and made us feel comfortable while he filled out all of my paperwork. However, when I was handed off to the finance department, it was a different story. I was placed with Ray, and he basically gave me the opposite customer service. Very pushy, not helpful, and very careless. I asked him to show me specific cars, and disappeared for a long time while talking on his cell phone. He came back and basically told me I couldn't have the car I wanted and tried putting me in more expensive vehicles. Did not like his service whatsoever and my father felt the same. I do not suggest dealing with salesman Ray.

Came in to see a pre-owned Subaru I saw online. The dealership sells Subaru, Dodge, Jeep, etc. Also had a very nice Viper in showroom. I had good credit and a good down payment so I didn't have any of those issues to deal with. Still, the thought of dealing with a car salesman wasn't a pleasant one. I drove past the place twice before I finally went in hesitantly. Somehow I ended up with Dan Magana on the Dodge side of the dealership. All of the prior reviews of him were true. Friendly, personable, knowledgeable and he quickly put me at ease. I got a fair price on a great vehicle and he made the experience as pleasant as possible. Didn't deal with anyone else there so I can't rate them. But I would recommend Dan if you are there looking for a car.

I still sit in shock being spoken to so insultingly by someone who wanted me to spend my hard earned money there. Will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend that anyone go there to buy a Mazda. Buying a new car is not one of my favorite things to do. Dealing with salespeople at any dealership is challenging. But, we really shopped this car and we came upon Liberty Auto City almost by accident. So glad we did! Great bunch of people there all the way around. After Dan explained the different options available I purchased a different one more of what I wanted in my Jeep. I worked with Patrick K. and then Dan Magana when I got to the dealership. Both were professional and treated me with respect. They did not try to push any hard sell, and I feel I got a very good and fair deal. I was there well past closing time, but Dan remained there throughout the entire process, and was the last person I shook hands with as I got into my new Jeep and left. I haven't bought a new car in 25 years, and I was not expecting the experience to be so enjoyable, but the staff at Liberty Auto City made this a very pleasant experience. I will recommend this to friends, and I will have my car serviced there as well.

I went to several Jeep dealerships and none came close to the deal I got from Liberty Auto City. I told my salesman that I wanted to shop around and he did not hassle me or push me to buy his car. He actually gave me some shopping tips to help me select the right Jeep for me. I would definitely recommend going here and asking for Ervin. Very nice guy.

It sounds silly but Dan is absolutely the Man!! I had a friend that bought a Jeep from him and this dealership and her experience was so good that I decided to take a look. Prior to this experience I was pretty committed to having Nissans but Dan really took the time to learn my likes/dislikes and found the car for me. The buying process was very easy and Dan was nice enough to keep the pesky finance guys straight (since I already knew who I was going to finance through). And now that the owner has invested the money into completely overhauling the facilities, this dealership is even better. Very clean and welcoming! They also gave top-dollar trade-in value on my Nissan.

It all began after a prolonged period of gloomy, wet, freezing weather in Chicago. Coincidentally; my husband had been searching the web for a used truck. Since the weather wasnt the greatest, we decided why not drive around and look at trucks. We visited several dealerships, found nothing that impressive, and encountered pushy sales people. We left Chicago for our accommodations in burbs and continued our search. We visited Ford, Chevy and GMC dealers as Toyota, Nissan, trucks werent our favorites and the Ram Trucks hadnt even entered our minds. Weve always driven Ford and Honda. One thing we noticed while speaking with sales people and testing driving trucks is that the sales people were not knowledgeable about the products they were selling and they did not seem interested in them. It was an attitude like this is a great new/used truck! Buy it!! Well, does it have ----? Uh, I dont know, but I can look it up Not too encouraging when even used trucks sell for $30K and above. A couple days before we were due to go home, I texted a friend of ours for advice; Ive heard nothing but good things about the RAM 1500 was his response. We had never considered or driven a RAM. Then, while surfing the web, my husband made the serendipitous discovery of Liberty Auto City in Libertyville. Libertys internet pricing seemed too good to be true, but we decided to take a look anyway. Thats where we met Ben Jacobs. We used to dread car shopping; Ben Jacobs and team changed all that. Ben was knowledgeable about the vehicles he showed us. He wasnt just knowledgeable he was nitty-gritty knowledgeable. Not only did he know what he was talking about, he could demonstrate what he knew. For an example, he demonstrated the extremely short turning radius of the RAM 1500, how making a U-turn is a breeze and how that would benefit us when towing our camper. He was also very familiar with onboard electronics, the NAV technology, all the bells and whistles and discussed and demonstrated how the technology worked together to make driving the RAM 1500 Sport easy, fun, and safe. Did I say FUN?!! Oh Ya! We buy a new vehicle every 14 -16 years. We are not impulse buyers. Ben and Liberty treated us like family. They were sincere. We made an excellent purchase and got absolutely the best deal available in the midwest (not just chicagoland). Incentive financing with Chrysler was fast easy and well worth it. We will happily refer friends and relatives with confidence.

This review really encompasses 2 car buying purchases at Liberty Dodge. In May of 2013, I decided to try a new brand of car and decided I liked the looks of the Charger. At first, I went to Ziegler Dodge in Schaumburg. I was thoroughly disappointed as I felt I was not being taken seriously. I did my research, I knew the numbers. Very disappointed. On the way home, I heard an ad for Liberty Dodge. I decided that I would go in on Monday after work. I filled out the online form and I was contacted by Chris Acker on Monday morning. I told him my position, being upside down on my car and all, and he told me that he could take care of me. Now, I've been down this road many times. I know their job is to get you into the dealership. What I didn't expect was the level of professionalism that I received when I arrived. He had already selected a model that he thought would fit my request from our phone conversation. The test drive went well. I mean, it was a new car with more power, space, and room than what I drove in. After the test drive, the wife and I discussed what we thought and I had a number in my head that we needed to hit in order for the deal to be done. And, to be honest, it wasn't a realistic number for the dealership. Chris spoke to the GM, Craig, and got some numbers. When he showed them to us, I told him what my bottom dollar was and why. He went back to Craig. Instead of going back and forth like dealerships tend to do, I was surprised by Craig coming over to discuss with us why we needed to get to this specific number. A brief conversation later resulted in Craig doing a lot more number crunching. 5 minutes later, Craig and Chris come back and we go over the numbers again. The numbers presented were not only fair, but they were almost my unrealistic numbers. The timing of my coming into the dealership at the end of the month resulted in a terrific deal for me. I was so pleased with my experience with Chris, Craig, and the dealership, that I decided that when I was ready for my next new car purchase, it was going to be from Liberty. The facility in May 2013, was the old building. Now, it is brand spanking new. Top notch, state of the art repair facilities, and still the same quality of service from the finance and sales team. The 2nd deal was even more amazing. I decided to trade in a 2012 Cruze for a 2013 Dart. I emailed Chris when I made the decision to explore purchasing the Dart. Within an hour, I received an email back with his hours of availability and to schedule a time with him. This Saturday, I came in. We discussed what I was looking for in person and how much upside down I would be. We picked out a couple of Darts, test drove the one I thought I'd like the most 1st, and started working the numbers. I didn't need to take another test drive as I decided I liked the car I chose. I knew the numbers and had an idea of what I should get for my car. Chris went up to the desk, they discussed some numbers, which I immediately shot down. He went back, talked for a while, came back with numbers that were very close to what I had in mind. After a very short period of thought, I looked at Chris and said "You just sold your 2nd car to me." They didn't waste my time, were very professional, and Mark in finance really took care of me. His job is to sell the warranties and such. But it was all no pressure. The whole team gave me facts and allowed me to make my own decision. That decision is that I will be back for my next car purchase at Liberty Dodge!

We were subsequently treated impolitely, unprofessionally, given inaccurate information, insulted, made to wait an inordinate time period. Dealership has highly questionable business ethics. We had a great buying experience at Liberty Auto Park when my daughter purchased a new 2013 Mazda 3 1 Touring hatchback. Their internet group was responsive and courteous and not only gave a quote over the phone but also an "out the door" quote. When we arrived at the dealer, we were greeted by the manager, Elmer, and James, the sales person. Both of whom couldn't have been nicer and responsive. This was a no hassle, everything on the table experience from start to finish. Her old car was ten years old and not in very good shape, yet they gave us fair value on the trade. They explained everything. While they did offer the expected extras, it was low keyed. The finance person was efficient, friendly, and low keyed as well. From the time we walked in the door until my daughter left behind the wheel of her new car, the total experience including the prep of the car was less than three hours. It only took that long because the the time necessary to prep the new car. Not only that, although she lives in Chicago, they will provide valet service to her with a loaner for any service.

We recently leased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Liberty. From start to finish, these guys handled everything professionally (and without the nonsense we got from Fields). The salesmen we worked with (Jacey and Ben Jacobs) were great. They couldn't have been nicer and were straight forward with us on price. It didn't feel like the classic "let's make a deal" you get in other dealerships. They gave us their best price, plain and simple. As it turned out, the price couldn't be beat. I called and went to the majority of other dealerships around the area, and nobody could come close on price. This is by far the best dealership and service center I have ever been to. We first went here looking for a used Jeep. The sales staff was great. We ultimately bought a vehicle at another dealership (honestly, the two vehicles appeared to be so similar in mileage and price that it came down to which color I wanted), and I severely regret it. It came with so many problems that we had been lied to about. We then brought it to Liberty Auto Center to have their service center work on it, and they have been simply amazing! Every one is so friendly, helpful, and attentive. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to buy or anyone needing a service center!

After doing a lot of research on cars and plenty of test driving, we bought the car we wanted here. A dealership has salesmen. That's what they do. They sell cars. I kept aware that the car we wanted could disappear at any time. That's how it goes. I was happy not to be pushed into a purchase but instead my salesman was patient and just gave me information on the car. That was a good tactic. I probably could have gotten the car for a little lower than what I paid but was surprised they didn't show some false price based on incentives for financing. The car ended up being much lower than expected. I even calculated taxes and docking fees before hand. They did their routine with extended coverage and car protectant as every purchase process entails. My experience here was good and there was no hint of desperation. Know your car. Know your spending limit. Eliminate falling in love with something that can disappear in moments. Know their competition. They do.

After being talked to over the phone like a child in trouble with his parents, I told the dealership to tear up my cc deposit I had left over the phone 3 days prior, but that's the day (june 26) that they ran my card for 500.00 Here we are July 6th and I still can't seem to get anyone to call me back or credit the charge. All this after I brought them a cashiers check and bought the truck that I have to spend 1000.00 on to fix! Horrible experience and horrible lack of suppoert at this dealership!!! Do not go, slam your head in a door, it's less painful!

Even though it was at a retail price. After driving 5 1/2 hours and seeing the condition of the rust holes, head liner falling down, I got a sarcastic general manager (Craig) tell me it wasn't his fault I lived so far away! Further more, he would't loose a dime by discounting the truck, since he could auction it and get what he was charguing me! The day before I had a guy named John tell me, "either you want it, or you don't" I have never been treated so rude in all my car buying days! By both these men. The only thing worse is a sales woman named Celeste walked out with her cell and told me it was in showroom condition!! I am the idiot for buying it, but as the saying goe, fool me once shame on you! No wonder people hate car dealers! It's casue of people like John, Craig, Celeste, and the rude operator, whose name I never got!
