Very disappointing experience today. Booked in the morning the appointment and get txt confirmation only to learn, when I showed up that my appointment was not in the system and that possibly the checkup requested as "same day" could not be completed in time that day. On top i was told about the cost of the checkup, which would have been double in $ terms of the part to replace. They may have lost definitely a customer that has two Kia.

I went in on Saturday 06/19/21 to buy a car off John Harder at Coughlin Kia. Ended up not having all the documents I needed to bring so we planned for Monday 06/21 to finish up. I called John ahead on my way in on Monday and told him I only had an hour to do the whole deal + paperwork due to work conflict and my old bank delaying sending paperwork. Not only was John and the finance team ( Thank you Jeremy and Tyler! ) able to get me out in under an hour, they still took the time to go over all my vehicle information to make sure I was making an informed decision. If you're looking for a new or used car I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family and have bought 4 cars here and always been satisfied. Jason Brown (sales manager) and his team (John, Tyler and Jeremy) are truly the best.

Recently had some issues with my Optima, no one could seem to figure out the problem. Took it to a local place and they ended up doing a thousand dollars worth of fixes, for it to still not be corrected. Luckily, we were loyal enough customers they refunded in entirety and directed us to Coughlin KIA in Newark. They diagnosed the true problem within 24hrs. Being my car wasn't safe to drive, they provided us a suggestive tow service that was extremely convenient, and friendly. We had the car there within 2hrs. Due to work schedules, it made it rough for me to pick up immediately, they allowed me to get it on my own time which was two days after the fix. Fix itself took them just a couple of days. Pickup was extremely easy, we were paid and out within seconds. Man at desk was extremely friendly, and efficient. Don't recollect name but it was at 4p (2-25-21) Cars back in my hands, and completely fixed and running like new. Highly recommend if you've got any major repairs!

Jim Miller is amazing! I didn’t think I would ever get a Kia carnival and he made it possible! He is the best! We left there having all the knowledge of the car and all! Buying a new car is an emotional experience which concludes with judging the sales person, the dealership, and yourself. Dealing with Jim Miller and Charlie Reece is like visiting old friends with, " We need to talk." premise or atmosphere. Jim has been in the business for a long time as I recall; and probably has sold to several generations of families through the years. He has the sage, country demeanor and will not pressure you in any way. He seems to understand your questions before you ask; experience I guess. New car buying experience with no pressure. Nice selection of vehicles to choose from in all price range. Sales crew listened to what I wanted and put no pressure on me to make a choice. Sales crew answered all my questions and went over all the features of the vehicle I was interested in.

Stopped in to look at cars trying to decide what we wanted to get. Test drove a Sportage and talked with sales person, Jim Miller. He was helpful, not pushy and allowed us to make a decision by giving us the information that we needed. We are really happy with our new car and would work with Jim Miller again. If Jim (sales) and Jeremy (finance) represent Coughlin Kia Newark I would imagine they will be awarded dealer of the year. Seamless experience, everybody extremely professional but fun to chat with and brutal honest on answering my questions. In less than one hour I drove out on my new (to me) car.

I dropped my car to be serviced the next morning. Then received an e-mail the next morning that my appointment had been cancelled, I called to check and was told yes it was cancelled, then told that they moved me because they had some walk-ins they needed to take care of. I called again 2 days later to be told that they couldn't validate any of my concerns that I would have to come and drive with the technician, my went to do that 2 days later then we were told it would be taken care of on Monday morning, I called to check status on Monday evening to find out it once again had not been touched. Went in today after them having the car a full week and find they did NOTHING!! All communication was by me the customer. Customer service is horrible and got nothing fixed! I wouldn't recommend your service dept. to anyone. We will be taking our business elsewhere and so should anyone else that is considering using them.

My purchase of a 2016 Kia Optima LX was easy and painless. I was pre-approved before visiting the dealership. I had already test driven a Kia Optima and knew the color and accessories I wanted. We have established the relationship to the point that I can tell him what type of vehicle I'm looking for, and then he tells me to hand the phone over to my wife to crunch the numbers with her(she handles the budget). We were looking for a small vehicle but one that my wife can get in & out of without trouble. We researched online and decided to try the Kia Rio. Jim showed us the Rio and it didn't work because the seat height above the pavement was too low. Once Jim understood this particular requirement he explained which cars would be best to try. My wife was able to get in/out of the Soul satisfactorily and she test drove it. At no time did Jim pressure us or dissuade us from price shopping but assured us that he would give us a good price. Then we went to Hyundai to evaluate their models but none of the small cars worked out. We had already eliminated the Toyota Rav4 and Honda CRV because both were a little too large for us and they cost considerably more. Once we settled on the Soul we shopped price. An out of town dealer had the best deal, even better than Costco renegotiated pricing, and I was prepared to buy. Called Jim and gave him the price to meet and after some work he met and actually slightly beat the best price I had. We made the deal on the phone and picked the car up later the same day. When we arrived at Coughlin Jim was thoroughly prepared with all the paperwork, answered all our questions and completed the sale without any hassles. I recommend Jim Miller as a sales rep.

Over the last several months, we have been looking to purchase a new vehicle for my Mother. This was quite the process as it was our goal to get her into something that would be reliable and long-lasting; as well as affordable that would her without a burden of a car-payment as she nears retirement. We searched many dealerships and options. My main goal was to remain with the Kia Brand. I had a Spectra that I purchased slightly used back in 2008, and it has been the most reliable car that I have ever owned. It is also the vehicle that my Mom has been driving for the past couple of years. What I found during my search was that it was nearly impossible to go look at vehicles without investing an entire day into the process. Time is precious for us all. Looking online, I came across Coughlin of Newark. I sent an inquiry late in the evening; by morning I had an email from Mr. Jim Miller. In my email he stated I think youll be pleased with the Kia Sportage and how I value your time (and money). Having gone through less than favorable experiences, I was hesitant to travel an hour away to look at the car. I could not have been more pleased with my experience and Mr. Millers service. I ended up traveling to the dealership twice that same day. Once to go look at the car myself, as I did not want to get my Moms hopes up, and again with my Mom. The car was spotless, and it was Cherry Red her favorite color. The next day, our offer was finalized and Jim worked quick and efficiently to process everything while I worked. I joked that I had a harder time booking a hotel for a work-trip I had coming up that same day! Never have I ever had this type of high-level customer service purchasing a vehicle. He kept true to his initial promise! How often does that happen these days? Anyone going through this process can appreciate someone who truly promises to value their time. The evening we went to sign papers took less than an hour & that was with Jim walking through all the features of Moms new car! I highly recommend Jim Miller and his team for anyone looking for a seamless WOWING experience. I would work with Jim again in a heartbeat.

I just purchased a Kia Sorento and Jim made the experience awesome. He is very knowledgeable and I learned a great deal. Jim made what can be an overwhelming and intimidating situation down right fun. I would give the entire dealership an A+. I went to this dealership to buy a Kia Optima because of how I have been treated by their service department. The salesman John came out and greeted me right away, was very knowledgeable, and was extremely helpful throughout the process. John told me that while I was on the test drive that he would have my trade appraised and we could work a deal out then. When I got back my trade was not looked at.(I understand people are busy and he had to take my car to a different department to have this done) John then had my car looked at, collected some more information from me and introduced me to his "Sales Manager" Jason. From the moment I was introduced to Jason he was very off putting. He shook my hand and immediately started arguing with me about my financing decision to the point that I had to explain to him three times that I was setting up my own financing even if it cost me more money. (I work at a bank) Finally, John got his turn to go in and talk to Jason about my deal. I was 10feet outside of Jason's office looking at a car on the showroom and all I heard while they should have been helping me was Jason telling a different salesman that he was "not budging another F*xxxxx 50 dollars on his old Nissan that he paid 40 F*xxxxx thousand dollars for and only had 19 F*xxxxx thousand miles on it" Finally John came out and showed me the numbers that Jason had put together. I felt that we were a few thousand dollars from what I expected but was willing to compromise if the dealership was willing to move a little bit but didn't even get a chance to negotiate with John because the whole time he was presenting the numbers to me I could only focus on hearing Jason now 25feet away from where we were continuing to swear and get upset with his conversation with the other salesman. At the end of the day I feel that Jason cost his salesman a deal and ultimately a commission because it was solely his fault that we could not come to terms on my new car purchase.

I arrived five minutes before my appointment. I was checked in right away and the vehicle was taken back on time. The service work was completed (oil change and vehicle check) quickly and the maintenance sheets were reviewed before I paid the bill. Excellent customer service. This is my 7th vehicle I have purchased from a Coughlin dealership. It all started with a 1990 GMC K1500 Stepside pickup at the Circleville store up to my most recent purchase of a 2013 Kia Sorento EX Limited from the Newark store. Matt Dillon is my go to person in dealing with vehicles, he is straight forward and helps in the process as much as he can. Matt directed me to Jim Miller for this most recent purchase and combined they made the process as painless as possible and extremely accommodating due to my work schedule. I was finishing up completing the financials and when I was done I stepped outside to discover Jim helping my wife in programming our new vehicle for the Bluetooth cell phone. Any other dealership would have let us try to figure it out ourselves, but Jim went above and beyond and made sure we were happy with our purchase. Jim reassured us that if we have any questions to just call him and he will try to assist us, and I have no doubt he will prove to be a man of his word.

They explain any recalls, all service requests and what has been done or needs to be addressed. If there are any concerns or questions they answer them quickly! In addition, they ask for feedback on how they are doing and contact you for further review if necessary. The ease of setting an appointment to drop off and pick up. Great service department to work with.

When I am ready to trade cars, I call Jim; I tell him what I am interested in, he listens...then makes it happen. I have also sent many of my friends and colleagues to him; and, they have received the same professional treatment and become his regular repeat customer. This is our second KIA and we were anticipating purchasing another in the not too distant future. We recently tried to replace the tires on my 2008 Kia Sorento at a tire franchise, and discovered that the "wheel lock" tool had never been replaced the last time we replaced the tires. Husband called Coughlin who will replace the tires but will not sell or otherwise make available the wheel lock tool. This is a SAFETY issue - what happens when there is a flat and we can't remove the tire?? Very disappointed.

Jim was super down to earth and didn't make me feel rushed at all. This was my first time ever buying a car and I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all. He took his time and listened to everything I wanted when it came to a vehicle. I could tell he cared about me as a person and wasn't just focused on a sale. He answer the millions of questions I had to make sure I understood everything fully. We worked together and got me exactly what I wanted within the price I wanted to pay per month. I walked away the same day with a 2016 Kia Sorento.

I brought in my 2015 Kia Optima SXT for it's normal service/oil change. While I was there the technician suggested based on my miles I should also have a tire rotation. The service was very quick and I was out of there in less then one hour of my appointment time. That is the kind of service I like.

First call took over 3 minutes for parts service to answer the phone. When I asked about my part they needed the vin number to look up the part so I had to hang up to get the vin number. I then called back and was sent to their Chey parts department that gentleman then had to transfer me to the Kia parts department. Well I give the same gentleman the vin number and after 5 minutes he said that he was not able to find the part and that the person was out to lunch that knew more about finding the part. I then got on the Internet and found the part and number that I needed took about 3 minutes. So called back to see if i could Oder the part and was put on hold for over 10 minutes this time no one ever answered the phone. I just want to say THANKS for the great service. OH by the way I order it off the internet . Thanks again!!!!!

OMG, Jim Miller you are the best, no pressure, no hassle, just down to earth dealing. Almost like sitting chatting with my neighbor,,,, I was so scared when I walked in there, and you really helped me thru buying the nicest car I have ever owned. Came across a car of interest in Coughlin Kia's inventory and was soon put in contact with Jim Miller. Car unseen in-person, Jim walked me thru the features of the car, and allowed me to place a retainer on the vehicle. I drove six hours to buy the car. The whole purchasing experience was pleasant with no pressure. At the completion of the transaction, Jim took a couple of pictures of me in front of my new car.

Jim Miller was FANTASTIC! He worked with me all day to get me what I wanted with the payment that fits my budget! He was so kind and helpful offering me and my sister beverages. It took awhile to get everything adjusted and he was patient with it all. I will be going back to Coughlin and seeing Jim Miller with future purchases.

WOW! I will recommend this dealer to everyone I know! After being a long time customer of another dealership (only because I had never been to Coughlin) and then being let down by the other dealership after my long time loyalty, I ventured out to Coughlin because I saw a commercial. They give WAY more for your trade in, find you what you are looking for, and work out a deal that meets your needs. They are fast, friendly, no nonsense and truly all about the customer! I will be going back there from now on! VERY PLEASED! I didn't know that buying a car could ever go that smoothly!

I can not tell you how much I detest the car buying process!! I really dislike high pressure sales representatives! If I go to a dealership and feel like I am being pressured into buying something, I leave and don't go back! Today my husband and I went to Coughlin Kia in Newark, Ohio to look at SUV's. We had been looking both online and in person at a variety of models and I thought I had my mind made up until we stopped today to look at Kia SUV's. We were greeted by Jim Miller (we had purchased a car from him before) and he immediately showed us a Kia Sorento that was fully loaded and we really liked what we saw! We took it for a test drive and fell in love with it! I did not feel at any point that i was being pressured into buying anything....that was the best car buying experience I have ever had! Jim spent a lot of time with us, showing us each and every feature of this beautiful vehicle. He even programmed the UVO system for us and made sure we knew how it worked, showing us all of the features this app could do. We were treated very well by everyone we came in contact with at Coughlin and I can honestly say, "Jim, you have earned our business and we will return!". Thanks Jim

I just purchased a 2014 Kia Soul. I traded in my 2012 model. I did not need a new car per se, but Pete, our salesman, was so kind and helpful. I felt like he was a good friend by the time we were finished. The staff did everything possible to make this work for us within our desires and with exceptional ease. No pressure. My wife and I were very pleased with the sales staff, the finance department and the speed of the transaction. Before we knew it, we were driving away in our new car. A car we didn't really need!

I can't tell you how refreshing it was to do business with Coughlin and Jim Miller in particular. I visited two other dealerships and while they were very nice, I drove nearly an hour to visit Coughlin. It seemed out of the way, but it was well worth my time and every mile to work with a down to earth, upbeat sales team. No pressure, just information and the greatest deal ever! It was so nice to find an Honest Car Dealership. Jim Miller was awesome to work with during the purchase. I found the car on the internet, made the offer and drove three hours to pick it up. Jim described everything in detail and I basically bought the car without putting eyes on it. I would drive up there to purchase my next car just because of the awesome level of service.

I went into Coughlin Kia of Newark, OH to test drive a 2014 Kia Forte and trade in my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring. Not only did I get a great deal on my trade-in, and my loan interest rate & monthly payment, but the staff was also very friendly, and the salesman Jim Miller was a pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to get us the best deal he could. We had to bring our two children with us (ages 5 & 2) and everyone was very polite to them and the whole general experience was positive.

He was honest and business like and we didn't have to wait n office long cause most of the business was done online or via phone. Once we were approved and got to office Jim miller and Sylvia had us in and out n 40 minutes. That was awesome. We will return if need another car

We recently purchased a used 05 Beetle from Jim Miller at Coughlin Kia and couldn't have been more pleased. We drove 8hrs round trip from another state on the word of the salesman that this was a good car. We had concerns regarding the transmission, so he personally drove the vehicle to assure us that it was in good working condition. We we arrived we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff members. We took the car for a test drive and were very impressed! It was exactly what Jim promised it would be. The entire process was very smooth and we were on our way in no time. This purchase is a Christmas present for our 16yr old daughter. She'll be so happy! My overall experience was good until I was driving the 2000 Lincoln Towncar home after the purcahse. The A/C was ice cold during the test drive, but about 15 minutes from the dealer tit was blowing warm air. I took the car to my mechanic the next day and was told that there was a fairly large leak coming from the A/C compressor. I was told the A/C would have had to have been charege shortly befor my test drive in order for the A/C to blow cold air. IT may be a coincience that this large leak occured on my trip home from the dealer, but I have my doubts. After $900 + in repairs on a car that I have had for one day all is well.

We'd purchased a Kia Soul from Jim Miller last summer, and when it was time to replace my SUV, there wasn't any other dealership we wanted to go to! Coughlin Kia (Bob Stamper and Jim Miller) have been great in getting us three vehicles we really like, including a great deal on a used car for our 16 year old son. Their friendly attitude and knowledge of all the Kia products is very helpful. Jim can tell if the car is a good fit for you by talking to you and getting to know you. He takes the time to explain the options on the car you are purchasing, and makes sure you know how to operate them all. Financing is a breeze with Bob. I have always felt that if you want to learn something about a car, "ask the man who owns one". That is a Packard Motor Co. quotation. I saw a couple driving a Kia Optima, and asked them what they thought of the car. They loved it, and RAVED about Jim Miller. I stopped, got some information, met (and liked) Jim. We had been shopping about a month for a crossover in several different makes when we came to the KIA dealer in Newark. We drove the car and liked it very much but the real selling point was Jim Miller. He made you feel like he had nothing else to do but get you the car you wanted and the best deal. He was very up front with his offer, trade-in and found the car we wanted and had it at his business the next day. We inspected it, signed the papers and then he sent it to get a moon roof installed and we picked it up two days later. What is usually an experience I do not look forward to (buying a new vehicle)was a very happy and relaxing experience thanks to Jim Miller!

My husband I had decided to trade his 2005 ford ranger in and started looking for a used SUV. We were looking at a 2011 Kia Sportage when Jim Miller came out to help us. We drove it and really liked it except the previous owner had smoked and we didn't think they could get that smell out so Jim had us drive a 2013 Kia Sorento which we really liked but didn't have a color that we wanted so he took the time and found one in Springfield, Ohio.. By the end of that day he had that Sorento in Newark. He went above and beyond and that extra mile to work out a deal that would work for us! We have bought a lot of vehicles from other dealers but this is the first time we have felt so comfortable with this experience. Jim showed us everything including hooking up the bluetooth which I love!! We felt like we had known Jim for years, he is so knowledgable and dedicated and truly loves what he does and we will definitely be back when it's time for another vehicle. We feel that we have gained a true friend while buying our new Kia Sorento!!

I was looking for a used truck and had reviewed the inventory via the internet that the dealer had when I came acorss a vehicle that I was interested in.
