Worked with Vaseal through the process of deciding on a used Audi Q5. Took time to explain features of vehicle and how they worked. Patient and answered all questions. Not over aggressive at all in his approach. Was timely with follow-up on the process and offered assistance with and needs or questions. Very courteous and professional.

I purchased a slightly used Audi from out of town, and worked with Sonny. He was extremely easy to work with. Very responsive to all my calls and questions and with the purchase process. He helped me figure out warranty options and gave good advice. When I drove down to pick up the car it was just as he described. He had taken care of all the details and spent over an hour post-sale tutoring me on the car systems. He is very trustworthy and informed and helpful, and because of this I have a very favorable view of the dealership. I would like to work with him again.

I recently purchased a car from carousel. I checked it out online first and then gave them a call. I spoke with this man named Vince and went there to see him. I had my game face on and I was a very difficult customer to work with but that did not stop Vince from going extra mile just for me. He provided me with an unbelievable experience. After doing at least 50 car deals the deal I did at Carousel Volkswagen was the best deal I have ever done. I dealt with Harvey Ireland, the Sales Manager, and did the entire deal over the phone for my son Nicholas.There was no pressure and just all straight talk. Harvey hit me with a sales price, the first time, and it was a fantastic price. When we discussed the financing once again he gave me a terrific rate. The entire deal was done in 20 minutes and my son Nicholas was also ecstatic about the whole deal.All I can say was that it was an extreme pleasure all the way.Tom Wadler

We've bought several cars from Carousel over the years and have been very pleased with the quality of the vehicles and the service we received. Susan Farrell in particular is terrific--she really tries to find out what sort of car you need/want, and then works to find a match at a good price. We also were impressed by the fact that someone got up at 2:30 a.m. to go to Minneapolis to pick up our new car (we wanted a certain color), just so that we could get it before the holiday weekend started. That's service!

You might have to grind out your deal, but if you seek out a good salesman at least he'll be polite, crack jokes and be a genuinely nice person. I can honestly say that my experience here was excellent and I would recommend seeking out Dustan specifically.

I recently purchased a 2016 Audi Q3 from Carousel Motors and I couldn't be happier with my experience. As a first time car buyer, I was hesitant and had lots of questions. Michael was very patient to answer all of my questions and listened to my wants/needs to pair me with the perfect car! I came in and test drove a few different cars and then decided on the Q3. I just purchased my third vehicle online and this by far was the best of all three experiences. Nathan did a great job of making this a very easy process. I was able to fill out the paperwork beforehand and they provided me a return overnight envelope. I arrived at the dealership at the time I said I'd be there and my 2014 CPO Audi SQ5 was washed and ready to go. Twenty minutes later, yes that's TWENTY minutes, I was headed back home and enjoyed every mile. Nathan was honest about a few imperfections in the car, it is two years old, and thus there were no surprises. Except, did I mention I was at the dealer for only 20 minutes? I have a large dog to haul around, but one day, when he's done loving my wife and I unconditionally and he goes to the great dog park in the sky, I'll look for a nice gently used Audi S5 at Carousel. I purchased a 99 Corvette from Carousel Motors and had the opportunity to deal with Sonny. Sonny was very forthcoming and after driving from KC to Iowa City, IA. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the car was everything that Sonny represented it to be. The paperwork/financing docs were waiting for me when I arrived and the transaction lasted less than 1 hour. I would HIGHLY recommend Sonny AND Carousel Motors to anyone looking for a reasonably priced - NICE - vehicle. It was a 10 hour drive (roundtrip) but won't be my last, as I plan on purchasing my next car from Sonny too!

I was looking for a specific trim line on a Mazda 6 and was searching from Des Moines. Got in touch with Vince Saldana and he made the whole process easy and seamless. He went above and beyond to find what I wanted quickly. He was most concerned with my satisfaction, not just selling a vehicle. I may very well buy from Vince again due to his attention, effort and easy going nature, regardless of distance. Highly recommend.

After having a light bulb changed, engine light came on; back to Mazda, charged 130 $ for a small PVC pipe that failed 4 months later.Found out that the wrong part was replaced. Now trying in vain to get a refund.

I highly recommend Nick Stessman at Carousel Motors. We have bought a Mazda CX-5 and an Audi A6 this year from Nick. Excellent Customer Service. Great Listening skills. We live in the Quad Cities. Carousel Motors is worth the extra mile as they go the extra mile. The service Department for the Audi is outstanding. The Mazda has not had to be serviced yet. Ask for Nick Stessman. DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS UNETHICAL DEALER! I purchased an "AUDI CERTIFIED" preowned 2008 A4 from Carousel in December 2009. Was supposed to have had a 300 point inspection and clean Carfax. When I went to sell the car recently, found that it has had Unibody Structural Damage reported and most dealerships wont touch it. Carfax indicates this was disclosed to the seller (Carousel) in August of 2009 when they purchased the car for resale, but this was never disclosed to me when I purchased the car. Thought it may just be an oversight, but in reviewing the BBB website, this seems like a common complaint against Carousel Motors Group. Contacted Audi USA for help since the car was supposed to be Audi Certified, but they were of no help. This has destroyed my brand loyalty to Audi.

My wife and I went to Carousel Motors to look at a used Mercedes and left with a new 2016 Mercedes instead. Patrick Quinn, our host, did not come across as a salesman but as someone who wanted to help us find the right vehicle. We can not say enough nice things about Patrick, he was very patient and worked to get a vehicle we were happy with. My wife is the worlds worst when it comes to buying a car, she has always hated the experience, but not this time. She was more enthusiastic than I and had Patrick roll out several cars to test drive. All in all a very good experience and one that will bring us back in the spring when it is time for my wife to get her new car.

I purchased a Mazda. Sales team was helpful but not pushy. The salesman made follow up contacts without being annoying. When I stopped at the dealorship I was helped immediately and did not have to wait for long periods while they checked credit, etc. This is in contrast to another huge dealorship in the same community.

Here's a big shout out to Tor and Sonny! They provided very friendly, personal, thorough customer service. We wanted to purchase a used Jetta for our daughter. We had a limited time frame, so Tor helped by narrowing down a list of cars for us to see. Sonny and Tor spent a considerable amount of time with us explaining the car's features and warranty and answering all of our questions. The buying process was very comfortable and definitely low pressure. Harvey in the business office was very knowledgeable and professional. It was definitely worth the hour drive to make this purchase!

I dropped off my car in the evening as it was having immediate engine problems going down the road. With no appointment, they called first thing the next morning, got it in, checked it out, contacted me about what was wrong, had to order a part in and had the car finished the next day. Runs perfect. Great service with no appointment. Staff were very friendly and cleared everything before they did anything. You can be sure I will take my car back there for service when it is needed in the future.

I leased a Passat three years ago, it was my first experience leasing and the process went smoothly. I have had extremely helpful and courteous service. They scheduled my car maintenance around my doctor appointments and drive me to and from the hospital. This is great for me since I live an hour and half a way. When my lease was up I was unsure what to do, so I consulted with Kevin Courtney about my options and he so gracious and patient in explaining everything. I did not feel pressured or hurried to complete a transaction, he was great. I look forward to working with him and Carousel Motors in the future.

I found a car at the dealership on-line. The car matched the color, make, and model of what I was looking for. I wasn't sure about the process of buying a car out of state (not having visited the dealer or actually seen the car outside of photos), contending with questions on the stricter California emissions standards and trying to find out if I could even register the car in California. My great salesman Nathan Guillaume worked tirelessly to answer all my questions and ultimately get a car delivered by truck right to my driveway in California. Overall, I found this dealership to be true to their word and really nice to work with. I would definitely work with this team again.

It was a very pleasant experience. Working with people who where honest and very helpful.The only thing that I did not care for was that my sales rep.(who was great to work with) had his desk next to the door and every time someone came in or out the cold and the snow would come in, always at us. I just picked up a pre-owned BMW Z3 - Nathan was the sales guy. Sales, service, ease of making the deal - all was outstanding. I would highly recommend this dealership for someone in the future (as I live in Chicago, and was picking up a very special used car on the internet - being able to trust the dealership is critical.) Kudo's to sales rep as he made the deal happen - not from any special deal, as the internet price was fair, but from the ease of the sales process. Nicely done.

We can't believe it is already a year since purchasing a Mazda 3 from Nathan Guillaume. After considering a few different vehicles, the Mazda test drive convinced us. At our ages we have purchased quite a few new vehicles and we must say that the experience with Nathan was by far the most pleasant, informative and efficient, while at the same time never feeling rushed, nor pressured. Nathan made us feel as if we were buying a car from a good friend. Besides this he is very knowledgeable not only about Mazda, but cars in general. He loves his work and it shows. Cool guy! We were also waiting for the dreaded, I have to talk to my manager, which Nathan did, but this turned out to be not the dreaded experience we thought it might be. Since then we have had the car serviced on schedule at Carousel and have found the experience to exceptional and enjoyable.

I came to Carousel looking to buy a new or used car to replace my '99 Civic. Although I had an idea that I wanted a VW, I wasn't really sold on any car in particular. Sonny helped me out by giving some insight into his own experience and was very knowledgeable of not just the VWs on the lot, but everything. Additionally, he didn't push me to buy a certain car, but in the end just laid out that I should buy what I want. Overall, it was an excellent experience because I could make an informed decision on the right purchase with Sonny's help, and there was great management and the finance department helped me get a good rate. My husband and I leased a 2014 VW Jetta just yesterday and am amazed at the level of professionalism and courtesy that we experienced at our first visit to Carousel Motors. We don't live in Iowa City and I had been communicating with Ben Bahr via email discussing our interests and budget for a week leading up to our visit. We had it narrowed down to a Jetta or Passat. Ben went out of his way to make sure he had vehicles ready when we arrived at the dealership that fit the description of what we wanted. He never tried to talk us out of leasing, or even into a different vehicle. As a matter of fact, he was upfront to tell us when a vehicle wouldn't fit into the budget we had specified. He took a lot of time before we left the lot to make sure we knew how to use the features in the car and double & triple check to make sure we didn't have any more questions; encouraging us to call or text if we thought of anything afterward. I simply cannot say enough good things about the entire process. From the moment we walked in the door, through the finance process, and right up to the moment we left in our new car, I feel we were very well taken care of. Ben's honesty and detail-oriented approach has earned Carousel these new customers!!

Had a nice experience with Carousel today, I thought. Came home and realized they forgot to the clean out the glovebox, which had a notice in it stating "this vehicle is not for sale, this form must remain in place until a federal used car buyers guide is affixed to this vehicle." yeah, there is no such thing in that car. also found a full book of tickets requesting standard maintenance in which only one was filled out. dangit. i was also pretty annoyed that they pretended to be nice saying, "oh, we'll go fill it up for you." without telling me they charging for the gas! i'm making a several thousand dollar purchase. why do you want to penny and dime me?

We worked with Ben Bahr and Harvey Ireland to find a new car for my wife to drive. We liked VW and were happy to see a couple new 2015 Golfs to try outimmediately loved the car and Ben and Harvey were great in getting us quickly into the car at a good price and on our way. We liked the Golf so much after a road trip we came back to look for a second one! This time I had some pretty specific requirements on the features, and Ben was great in tracking down just the right car (which wasn't on their lot), keeping me informed and patient along the way. The second time the experience was just as good with both Ben and Harvey. Now weve got two new Carousel VWs in the garage, a Golf and a GTI and couldnt be happier with the help or the cars! Good selection, low pressure, respectful, fair, efficient and great people...Definitely recommend Carousel Motors in Iowa City!

Came to the Carousel in desperation -- moving in 2 days and my old car goes up in smoke. Joey was calm and not pushy. He welcomed us and took in our information without trying to dump something he wanted to sell instead. Looked through the inventory and got us a vehicle we are now very happy with, including the price we have haggled out of him. We will definitely be back to get our next car from him.

I purchased a 2007 VW Rabbit recently at Carousel. Nathan Guillaume was the sales consultant who helped me. I have always dreaded vehicle purchasing experiences due to the pressure and stress associated with past purchases. This was not the case this time! Nathan Guillaume is very down-to-earth, while also professional. This was the best experience I've ever had purchasing a vehicle. I got the price, interest rate and monthly payment amount that I wanted. I was able to take the Rabbit to a mechanic friend to have it checked over and to get another opinion on it. I was told that this was an excellent vehicle, in very good condition. I never felt pressured by Nathan. He took time to explain details to me in regard to the purchase numbers and the vehicle. Thank you Nathan and Carousel! I love my Rabbit!!! I highly recommend Nathan and Carousel and VWs!!!

I was in the market for a new car for myself so we did what most people do - we went in search of one on a Sunday evening when we could look at our own pace and not be asked questions about our intentions. We decided to drive through the Mercedes/VW/Audi lot just for fun and to do a little dreaming in the process. We actually found a car that we loved and the price was right. I am the proud owner of a convertible Saab that I LOVE. On Monday I called the dealership just to inquire about the car and to see about taking it out for a test drive. I spoke to Nathan Guillaume. He was courteous and answered all of my questions without any PRESSURE. We test drove the car on Monday evening and by Tuesday evening I was driving it off the lot as the new owner. Nathan worked with us quickly via e-mail and text to get this done in an efficient and professional manner. It was fun to sit in the car once the deal was made and have Nathan show me all of the bells and whistles. He even fixed the cup holder! Jean Sellnar was wonderful as well. She made the financial process quick and painless! Thanks Nathan and Jean for making this a fun and pressure free experience!

Patrick Quinn was my sales rep and provided the best car buying experience of my life! I live in Kansas City (4.5 hours from the dealership) and found this car on Cars.com. Given the distance, it was imperative I speak with someone knowledgeable and trustworthy. Patrick was this and much more! He inspected the car (it was 2 years used) for any cosmetic imperfections (the dealership had naturally already completed a thorough mechanical inspection) and notified me of items that were too small to identify in pictures. He negotiated a great deal both on the car for purchase and my trade-in sight unseen. All that was left for me was to make the drive and confirm it was everything we had discussed and was it ever! After our test drive, Patrick spent a great deal of time educating me on the features of the car and the finance department got me through the system in what had to be record time. Sonny Dzafic was my sales person and he defenitly was an awesome sales person. I first called the dealership to make sure the car was still for sale for the price I saw it for and it was. I was driving from Chicago,IL to Iowa and sonny locked up the car for me and didn't let anyone else make an offer for the car until I made my decision weather to buy the car. As soon as I got to the dealership he was already outside waiting for me and right away we took the car for a test drive. He had the car washed, detailed and even had my tank of gas filled. He made everything fast and easy. This dealership really has amazing car prices and that's why I drove all the way from Chicago,IL to purchase my vehicle. Definitely would recommend anyone that goes there to ask for Sonny Dzafic you will not be disappointed he is very professional.

After an awkward visit to another dealer we tried Carousel. From the congenial welcome by Teresa in a telephone inquriy, to being personally greeted in a cordial and helpful way, to an informative test drive, to a forthright negotiation and paperwork session, this was one of our best car purchasing experiences to date. The sales consultant, Sonny Dflazic, was particularly well informed and made our experience a very positive one. We were even introduced to the service staff. A rare place in our experience.

This was the first time I have done business with Carousel Motors, and I was extremely satisfied with the experience. Nathan was the salesman that helped me out. He was friendly and very helpful. The car needed to go into the service department and they bent over backwards to get the car to me as quickly as possible. I DEFINITELY be doing business with them in the future. Especially Nathan. This is the fifth or sixth vehicle I have obtained from this dealership. I have always found these folks will bend over backwards for a good fit for the customer. I have bought cars new and used from Carousel and have never regretted any of the deals they offered. They are Tops and I would send any of My friends to them for an automobile.

Carousel recently had our vehicle for four weeks for the second time a component in the same vehicle. There were so many times when they promised a call back and did not call, didn't have an answer, etc. when we checked in that we lost count. We just picked up the vehicle only to have the repair be 50% more than originally quoted (because Audi apparently no longer even has this part), again with NO communication. What was worse, they tried to blame this failed component on a modification to the car, even though the first time the component failed, there was no modification. Trying to blame things entirely on others without being willing to take any personal responsibility is one of my pet peeves. Even though we were without this vehicle for three weeks, our requests for a service loaner were basically ignored. We have bought two vehicles there and the truly terrible service experience has lead us to regret both buying decisions. We will NOT be back to Carousel Motors.

I purchased a used 2012 VW GTI from Carousel Motors last year. I was hesitant at first and considered buying locally where I live in Boston, but the staff at Carousel Motors put me at ease and made the process a joy. Bill Williamson showed me a selection of cars online and spent as much time as I needed to answer all my questions. He also imparted invaluable wisdom about different car models, which lead to the ownership of my first car. The Carousel staff sent me all the paper work via Fed Ex and even laid the groundwork for my Massachusetts registration so that I was able to immediately drive it when it arrived shortly after. The shipment fee was reasonable and the car was delivered to my front door. Great service and I couldn't be happier with my GTI! I've had the car for 1.5 years without a single issue. I highly recommend Carousel Motors for both in state and out-of-state purchases. Many thanks to Mr. Williamson and the Carousel staff.

Would highly recommend this dealer to purchase a car from. Tim Brimmer the salesman was awesome, it was a very snowy day and he never hesitated pulling in numerous vehicles inside to look at. My husband and I recently had our first baby, so wanted something reliable, but still sporty and reasonably fun to drive. We originally thought we would go with a mazda due to the affordability and positive reviews online. When we arrived to look around, we found the mazda was smaller than we had hoped, and honestly weren't really sure where to go from there. We hadn't made an appointment, but several of the sales staff were able to help us look at our other options. I have been exclusively a Toyota and Honda owner, so was skeptical that VW or Audi could provide the same quality of car with affordable pricing. We ended-up looking at a VW GTI, which I was sure couldn't possibly be a safe car for our baby. Our sales person showed us the crash test ratings for the car, which are great, and assured us that although it's fun to drive the GTI is a legitimately safe family car. After our test drive I was pretty excited, although it was a little out of our price range, so wasn't sure we could afford it. We worked with our sales guy to include a warranty at a great price, which eased my mind that we would have a "fancy" car, with lots of expensive repairs. All of the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. Every step of the process was thoroughly explained, and I feel a sincere effort was made to disclose everything about the car and to ensure we understood everything. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured. Then Sonny took the time to explain all of the features of our new car to us, which really helped us feel confident that we were getting the most out of this great car when we drove away. Sonny followed up with us about a week later to see if we had any questions about our new car, and to make sure we were completely happy. We mentioned that there was a slight issue with the cup holder in the back, and he said that he would order a new part, and to just bring it in next time we were in the area and they would replace it. EXCELLENT customer service!!! Overall, I would highly recommend Carousel motors if you are looking for a great car at a great price.

From the moment I was greeted at the door by a receptionist, I knew this would be an enjoyable buying experience. Received fair trade in on my old Mercedes and after I test drove the Q7 there was no doubt it would be in my garage by the evening! My salesman, Sonny, schooled me on all the new gadgets this gem of an automobile offers. Drove off the lot with a firm grasp on how to run my new Audi to its full potential. Thanks carousel motors!

I can't believe this dealer would even put a car like this on the lot to sell. what a lemon! this car should have went to an auction house or even to charity. JUNK... I felt rushed because of the dealer closing and i drove 2 and 1/2 hrs to look at it in partially dark time.. The more i look at it the more i feel i have been taken to the cleaners or the REPAIR SHOP.. JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will not recommend anyone to deal with this dealership..

I visited the lot on a Saturday, still in the process of just looking. (had a couple specific models in mind, was looking at other options.) Joey Blount met me on the lot (cold day) and showed me several cars. I told Joey I would look around and contact him. After returning home I was checking the website and noticed one of my "specific model" I was looking for (no picture). I called Joey on his cell number after closing , leaving a message, that I would be interested but had not seen the car on the lot. Joey returned my call, and was very helpful! (The car had just been traded in, had not even had a picture taken yet!) He set up a time to meet at opening on Monday. Joey and I visited the car at the detail shop, and it was all Joey had described and more! That was the car for me! I truly believe had Joey not taken the time with me and the car had made it to the lot I would not have it. I hate buying cars! Joey Blount was very professional and had a great way of making what I consider to be a very painful and avoid at all costs process happen painlessly and very quickly! First, understand - My method for selecting cars is apparently unique. I rely heavily on online research with the most emphasis from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). To me the way the car handles or looks is absolutely inconsequential to the crash ratings, then miles per gallon and reliability. I want to know that, when driving home 30 miles on Interstate 80 in miserable weather, I am safe. My first car purchase was a Honda Civic Hybrid, a top safety pick. I purchased the car from (then) Chezik-Sayers. I was forced to take a test drive and sit through the humiliating Ill ask my manager.this is what we want scenario. It took five hours despite me knowing exactly what I wanted when I walked in. When I arranged through financing, the associate chided, You dont even have enough of a downpayment to cover title and tags. My cheeks still burn as I remember that. The second car we purchased was for my husband some six months later. Again, a Honda Civic. Again, the run around except this time, we paid cash. In July of 2012, I again needed to purchase another car. I looked through the ratings and reviewed the performance and safety stats. I selected a Honda CRV. This time, the experience was horrendous. Between the high-pressure sales man first showing me used cars (I didnt want a used car) to showing me the upgraded packages I didnt want. I wouldnt move on a price. Then we were forced to watch a video about some after marketing product and told, Ive yet to see ANYONE say no to this! to which I dryly replied, Watch me. Finally we met with the manager who undid everything that I had just spent the prior 2 hours doing. They could order in the car we wanted. But, of course, the car was 3k higher than one immediately available at Randy Kuehl. We walked out of there 5 hours later and I vowed never again. I give you this background so you can understand where my praise for Carousel Motors and Nathan comes from. I had to purchase the Mazda CX5 unexpectedly. Again, over the holiday weekend, I spent my time reviewing online reviewing the safety picks, reviewing different brands, reviewing where I could purchase this car from. I wrote to Carousel and thankfully got from Nate (Nathan Guillaume). His simple email to me read, Any questions? No pressure. No sales tactic. Just a simple Im here if you need me. My business was conducted through email. Its easier for me that way. I really dont like people, I get nervous in crowds. Its uncomfortable discussing money, finances, and what you want with perfect strangers. Nate was more than willing to work all through email not even a phone call. I was so relieved it was so much easier. Plus, I could slow down and read the details, let it process. Verbally I can only retain about 20%. In writing, I can read, and re-read. When I got to Carousel, I was walked over to Nates area by a gentleman because I didnt know the Mazda area was in the Volkswagen area. Nate was just as great in person. He had the paperwork done well, some didnt transfer, so we had to refill those but it was done. Then we reviewed the car inside so I knew what to do with the gadgets. No forced test drive! Yay! Then to financing to Jean (great person) who kept it moving. And then, signed, sealed, delivered. I walked in at 4:30. I was out the door by 6 I think. It was smooth, painless, and I was able to make dinner and relax with my family. Nate has the perfect balance of all business and personal. He seemed genuine not fake like all too many sales people. He seemed like the guy next door, the guy who would help you if your car was stuck in the mud, or if you needed a hand. He seemed like the friend you were waiting to meet. Best part? I had questions after the purchase and Nate answered within 24 hours with an apology that he didnt answer sooner. He answered more than soon enough, but the genuine response made me smile.

I have purchased two vehicles from Carousel which happened to have both been A4's. The first time was on 08 and just recently a 2012 A4 Quatro. I was overall happy with the first purchase and was given great overall service by a gentleman named Joe who was the advisor i worked with for all my repairs. I purchased the 2012 from Nathan Guillaume as i had done the first one. I took it for a test drive and noticed a vibration in the tires once i reached about 70 miles an hour. I was told by the sales staff that more then likely it was flat spots in the tires since it had sat in the lot for roughly a month without being moved. I was told that once I made the drive back to the Quad Cities which from door to door is 70 miles that the tires would be fine and i wouldnt notice the tires anymore and it would be fine. Well a week later the issue still was there so i returned the car to the dealer where after they took a closer look said that one of the rims was bent thus causing the tires to not be balanced properly. Was told that a custom rim shop(the rims on the car were custom and not the original factory) was going to have to come in and fix the rim and the car would be back to me soon. To make a long story short that wasnt the issue and Carousel ordered new rims from the vendor and arrived a few days later. Once those rims were put on the off balance indication still existed they made the decision that it was the rims and I was told that the best option that i had was to put original factory rims on and that would alleviate the problem. One of the biggest reasons I bought this car was because it was white with black rims. Chris Hester called me back and said that what they were going to do was to get them powder coated black as that was the original color that came on the car i bought. I am very happy with how the rims look and the problem of the off balance is gone. That matter took roughly two weeks to resolve and im pleased that it is finished. Problem #1 fixed. The next problem that I have is that there was not a manual provided to me when i bought the car. I was told that the manuals are on back order and would eventually become available and once that was the case it would be shipped to me. Well two months later I havent gotten the manual or any time frame of when to receive it. I called Pat Lind a month ago and he said he would get me the information and here it is a month later and nothing...I call the owner of the business yesterday and get a voicemail which was returned today by Chris Hester. I talked to Chris and it is obvious that I am frustrated with this entire fiasco. I was told by Chris that he has bent over backwards for by getting the tire issue resolved and didnt appreciate me going to the upper level of the dealership with my concerns because he was my point of contact. Well when you dont get answers from questions you have you usually go to someone who can provide them for you. And NO Chris you didnt go above and beyond in resolving my issues with the tires. You simply did Your job in getting this rectified because of the fact that it wasnt checked prior to me leaving the lot. This would have never came to this if it was checked before I left the lot in the first place. I drove to your lot which is quite a haul from the Quad Cities from the experience I had the first time i bought there. I will and that is 100% guaranteed never by a car there nor have it serviced there. Ironically this could have all been resolved with the manual from one of the 2012 A4's that are sitting in your lot at this very moment. I have been patient long enough and unfortuanately i have to spend half hour of time writing this when it should have never gone this far.

I thought I was shopping for a 2014 manual Mazda 3 but before I bought it I wanted to test drive it and compare it to the 2013 manual Mazda 3, which I had liked. The manuals were slow to arrive at the dealerships. Dustan Fogle actually went to the trouble to order the exact car I wanted. When the opportunity came to test drive the 2014 I actually found I preferred the 2013. Even though the car I ordered had yet to arrive he arranged to have a 2013 brought in from Madison for me, and he did this in less than 24 hours! The dealership offered me what I expected on my trade-in and even stayed open a little late in order to finish my purchase. It was a smooth and painless transaction and I am thrilled with my purchase.

This was the easiest and most pain-free car buying experience that I've ever had. All of the staff (especially Dustan in sales and the folks in finance) were informed, courteous, and helpful. I was given a very fair price on my trade-in and the whole process was accomplished in one afternoon. The 2010 Jetta TDI that I purchased is a great ride, and the excellent fuel economy (between 45-50 mpg on the highway) keeps me smiling. Thank you Carousel Motors!

Horrible experience buying a car from this place. I bought the car and the engine blew within a week and they did nothing to help. Apparently they have no concern for their image as a reputable car dealership. I will never buy a car from them again.

Worst experience I have ever had with a business. I was treated VERY poorly. I was sold a vehicle and was told "Congrats and that the vehicle would be pulled off the lot" and an appointment was set to come in the very next day to sign the paperwork and bring in everything needed for the bank the very next day. That morning I was checking my email and noticed that I received an email from the dealership (they didn't have the courtesy of a phone call) to let me know there was a "late night" sale and the vehicle was sold (actually sold to the General Managers Friend). I was told in the email "sorry about your luck". I called the car lot and talked to the General Manager, John Vice, and was treated very poorly. He was rude and told me that "it is what it is". I told him that I couldn't believe that he was a manager and got away with talking to people the way he was talking to me and that I would never do business with Carousel again and he said "Boy, those are strong words".......So my advice to you is to never do business with this company as they don't know what "customer service" is.

Dustan Fogle helped me track down a sky blue mica CX-5 with the specific options that I requested in less than a week. Although Carousel did not have my car on their lot when I began my search, Dustan diligently searched out dealerships with a vehicle that matched my specific color and options and delivered to me my vehicle within a few days! I had just relocated to Iowa from Arizona and was in the middle of orientation, searching for housing and a vehicle all within a week. The vehicle that I brought from Arizona was totalled as it sat parked on a Chicago street. I only had a week to find a replacement vehicle! Dustan's tenacity located the specific CX-5 that I requetsed in a very sort period of time. I highly recommend Dustan and Carousel if you are looking for grade "A" customer service for your new vehicle purchase.

I purchased my 2011 Honda CRZ and had the best experience so far from all dealeships I worked with in the past - I think this is my 15th car... The entire staff, including my salesman, Sanel Dzafic, were very helpful and pro-active. I felt no pressure whatsoever to buy the car. I visited a dealership 2-3 times and finally decided that the discounted price, friendly sales person, quality service facilities could serve me well in years to come. I recommend carousel to every car buyer in Eastern Iowa.

I would like to highly recommend that if anyone is looking for a vehicle at Carousel Motors, to ask for Sanel "Sonny" Dzafic. I have recently purchased my second Jetta from Carousel Motors, and Sonny has helped me with both of these purchases. He is very knowledgeable about Volkswagen vehicles, and takes the time to sit in the vehicle with the customer and review all of the features. What is especially nice about working with Sonny is that not only is he very helpful during the vehicle purchase, but he will follow-up after the purchase and do whatever he can to help the customer during the time period the customer owns the vehicle. I feel this is true customer service, and is why I would highly recommend Sonny to anyone shopping at Carousel Motors.

I purchased a 2010 Audi A4 that I saw online. When I called to check on the availability, I spoke with Joey. He was very helpful and friendly and explained up front the car was a manufacturer buyback, which wasn't a big deal to me because it was priced fairly. I had a deposit put on the car that same day. They wrote up all the paperwork and had it FedEx'd overnight to me. I flew up exactly one week after making initial contact with the dealer and was picked up at the airport. I had the paperwork all filled out and spent less than 30 minutes at the dealer before I was on my way in my new car. The drive home was over 1,200 miles and I had no issues whatsoever. I now have about 1,500 miles on the car after owning it a few weeks and love it. Joey was very helpful and easy to reach throughout the buying process.

If you are a "high end buyer", this maybe the place for you. However, for most of us looking to buy a car for the right price, I would advice you to TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE. Carousel Motors had a car in my price range that had exactly what I was looking for. I test drove it and the next day I called to inform the sales dealer who helped me, that I had the money and I want to buy the car. We agreed on a time to meet for the next day to purchase the car. THAT SAME DAY, I start receiving text's messages from salesman saying, "the car is in the processes of being sold." Next thing I hear, "the car is sold". I was furious! Not once did he mention to me in our previous phone conversation about partial payment and that the car was still on the market. If he would have informed me of that, I would have came to the dealership that day and bought the car. Next day, I went in and spoke to the general manager of used cars. He had no care of loosing our business, kept dropping "high end" buyers to us and even told us that their method of not "pushing" their customers sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Pretty much, the car was sold, we were upset and there was nothing he was willing to do to help us out. I work in customer service and I'm applauded how Carousel Motors managers train their staff and how they handle certain customers. It was clearly their fault for not informing us with the right information and worse; they were not interested in taking care of us when we were clearly upset with their mistake. I will never bring my business to Carousel Motors. I had a very stressful experience. They lack professionalism and under appreciate the importance of customer service.

Was looking for a 2010 or 2011 Maxima SV for my work vehicle. I saw on-line that Carousel had the exact vehicle I was looking for in black (my preferred color). I called the dealership and was directed to Bill Becker. Bill told me the vehicle had only 19,000 miles and was certified. He stated that the paint was not perfect (black shows every imperfection). Bill proceeded to have the vehicle wet sanded and buffed...brought paint job from a 6 rating to a solid 8.5. Very happy with the buying experience and the honesty. Being in the auto business for 22 years I know the sales staff sell the first vehicle...we will see if the service department performs as well. If the service experience is as good as the sales experience they have earned my trust and future business. Thanks Bill...job well done!

Ordered/purchased a 2013 ML350 from Riley Lind at Carousel Motors. He was extremely easy to work with - no pressure approach! He helped me build with the features I wanted. He emailed with updates when it would be built in Alabama, delivered and ready for pick up. He was flexible with my last minute decision to not have a trade in. They were also flexible with my time-line, not needing the car until late March. He took the extra time to make sure all of the new electronics/features were programmed specifically for me. We also took another car for service at Carousel and Craig Yoerger was very thorough and returned our car (with 65k miles) with up to date service/warranty repairs, etc that should have it last another 65k miles minimum. I highly recommend purchasing from Carousel Motors!! I've purchased from other dealers in the past - all they were concerned about were intimidating you to score high marks on the survey for them...obviously not the case here - the positive experience speaks for itself!

The finance guy will you rip you, they are not playing fare and lied to me in my face, didn't disclose all the details, I should have read all the fine-print. The sales people are nice but very sneaky management with bad business skills, not on customers side at all. After I realized what they didn't disclose in the begging and there was no effort in their part on trying to fix it. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN! btw this happened on May 2012

Purchased a 2004 Audi A6 after trading in my vehicle. Joey the salesman was great to work with, but the car he delivered isn't what was advertised. I was assured I was buying a clean, solid vehicle, with no issues. Within 10 miles of my owning the vehicle, the check engine light came on. Took it to a local service center to have the codes read, and it came back with several. Turbo is going out, cam leaking oil, EGT sensors, etc. Quoted around $4500 - 5000 for repairs. Told the dealership about it, and they don't seem too concerned with helping (I realize they don't have to, I bought the car "as is.") Makes me wonder if they like to dump off other problem cars on good people. I'd like to think this was an honest mistake, so we'll see if they're willing to help with the repairs.

Went into dealership knowing I wanted better than my usual Volkswagen. VW's are great but I knew it was time to step up. Had my eye on a used A6 and we test drove it. Not the right car. Riley Lind was very patient and helpful. We weren't sure what we wanted. We knew we still wanted a wagon, not an SUV, VW doesn't offer a new passat wagon like our previous car. We compared new cars, used cars, a4 avants to a6 avants, looked at the new allroad, compared cargo capacities etc. He even suggested we run a search for the right car to be found if they didn't have it there. Riley suggested an a4 avant. Said same capacity as new allroad. Test drove a gently used very low mile CERTIFIED black gorgeous vehicle with lots of style and pep. Quatro and premium plus sealed the deal. We needed one day to think it over and the salesman said he had the day off next day but he would drive the car home for the day to keep others away from it. He knew we were hooked. Nice gesture. No pressure sales. Very helpful. His favorite line was ' can you see yourself in this vehicle?' We made our leap into an awesome Audi and would definitely recommend carousel to our friends. Thanks Riley.

We just bought a Mercedes GL 450. We actually came today to test drive another vehicle but were not sure about it. Mr. Tom Akin, luckily, was our sales person and he gave us a very good option and got us sold on this vehicle. He was an excellent sales person, knowledgeable, helpful, no pressure. He took time to go through all the vehicle features with us. There are a few things to work on the vehicle and he is making arrangements to get it all squared away. Now that, is what great customer service is! We got done after the dealership's closing time but he still stayed to go through the vehicle again with us. We would definitely recommend! The financial guy was also good. Thanks, gents!

After searching the internet for the car we were looking for, my husband and I checked out Carousel in Iowa City. They had just received a Suzuki SX4 and had it priced within our range. We met Riley Lind and even though the car wasn't quite ready for viewing, Riley was more than happy to give us more information about the vehicle. My husband test drove the "Zuki" and really liked it. I later drove the "Zuki" and loved it! Not only did Riley keep in touch with us about the vehicle after it was ready, he answered all the questions that we had concerning the buying process among other crazy questions. Not one time did we feel pressured into buying the Suzuki or any other vehicle. I have never felt so appreciated as a customer as my experience with Riley at Carousel. We have even spoke to Riley about possible future puchases and look forward to being repeat customers at Carousel!

We were very pleased with our experience at Carousel. The Salesman named Vince was friendly and helpful, but not high-pressure. The finance guy was also a good guy, did not try to high pressure sell us on extra warranty options. We bought our Jetta on the second visit and are very satisfied.

Outstanding! This is why I travel 70 miles to buy/service a car. I have had several import cars from Carousel over the last 10 years--the last a used Porche Boxster. When buying a "previously owned" vehicle, especially a performance one, you have to trust that what is represented is in fact "truth"! Carousel is locally owned and operated--they stand behind their "truths" because they are in our community for the "long haul". Unlike some franchise/distantly owned dealerships who never see/talk to their clients--Carousel does! I have referred numerous friends and clients from the Quad Cities and the Iowa City area--treatment is the same--Excellent! Many have become long term, repeat customers. Just purchased a new Audi for my wife from Carousel and the experience was beyond our expectations. They were extremely knowledgeable and focused on ensuring she was getting the right car for her needs. They had good inventory and were very willing to go find a different car if they didnt have it. The attention to detail and ensuring everything was perfect was much appreciated (I am a perfectionist & they exceed my expectations). This wasnt my first purchase from Carousel I continue to drive to Iowa City to purchase vs. my own town any dealer can sell me a car, the reason I go to Carousel is how the dealer takes care of us after we purchase the car service, sales, parts they all work together to ensure the customer is taken care of, its nice to see that some dealers still have this focus!

Most recently purchased a used Audi rs6 sight-unseen from carousel. These are rare cars and this one was sold new by carousel. Having purchased four cars from carousel motors, I was very comfortable with my spouse traveling to Iowa from Tennessee to purchase the car. With all five deals I have done, the carousel team has been fair, courteous and true to their word. Even after moving away from Iowa I continue to work with this family owned dealer. The mega corporate owned dealerships in the major metro areas are a nightmare.

I purchased my Audi from Carousel Motors and the assistance I received was an experience I will never forget! The salesman was very helpful and was able provide me with all the information about the vehicle I requested.The salesman was willing to be patient with me throughout the process and did not pressure me to purchase at anytime. I was greeted by the Sales Manager after the purchase, which made me feel like I was appreciated. The Finance Office was very professional and provided me with several options which were easy to understand. The most memorable experience was when the salesman provided me with a tour of the dealership before I even purchased the vehicle. He took me through each showroom, he introduced me to the Service Manager and walked me through the parts department. I felt like I knew where everything was in the dealership and everyone that worked there was there to help me with anything I needed! If you want to have a great experience buying a car and want feel like they appreciate you, you need to stop by Carousel Motors! I will never buy a car from another dealer!!!

Scheduled a test drive on Feb.16. After driving to dealership from Des Moines (1-1/2 hours) we were informed the car had sold 20 min. prior to our arrival. The salesman's only reply to our dismay was to sell us a new model, when we had went to look at a used one. As of Feb. 20, no follow up e-mail or phone call. .??? Never again!!

My own fault for not checking the car facts before buying, but I had to find out my vehicle I had purchased was a manufacturer buyback aka "lemon" when I went to trade it in for a new car at another dealership. It really leaves a sour taste in your mouth having to find this out a year after you have owned the vehicle. I tried to "buy local" and support my community but I will definitely not be returning my business to this dealership again.

Bought used Lexus LX470. They told me they would fix suspension prior to purchase. While a partial repair was done, they did not fix it. Over next few weeks after taking possession, I realized suspension was still faulty. I requested they honor their word and fix it as they said they would. Used sales manager told me I was twisting words and suspension must have went bad after I drove it off the lot. Get any repair agreement in great detail on sales agreement or better yet - avoid Carousel and Chris Hester. Wrote general manager as well...nothing.

I bought a 2006 Scion Tc in October 2012 from Vince Saldana, Internet Sale Manager. He delivered the car to me outside on a rainy day , which made me go around faster and did not catch everything thats wrong with the car.. Like I asked hem " did you guys changed all fluids in the car "and he said "apsolutely we take care of that " I believed him and did not check the fluids..wrong.. i should check anyway...he promised to fiil the car with gasoline on his own..wrong ..in the Finance office they charged me $30 for fuel..after we were done deal he said that the previous owner has an extra key that he will give to me and mail it to me ??? Three months has passed and that never happened...Transmition fluid was all black and baaaad... I called Vince and told him about it , and he said will see and talk to the Sales Manager about it possibly to refund the money how much it cost me for fluid $164 ...but nothing happened again..All tires were missmatch and cost me another $450 dollars to add new tires...By the way ,after I purchased the car none of the managers came to me to thank me to stop buy and do business with them...after this experiance for sure I will never come back to this dealer and buy a car or anything else again...Never take delivery on Rain day , if you do , you need to know that something is there that they want to hide from you...Finance was fast and smooth that is all the best I was experianced in Carousel Motors dealer ship...very sad and very poor help from Vince...It looks like they do business covered by lying and promising to people ....

We recently purchased a 2011 VW CC. The experience at Carosel, Iowa City was excellent. Vince Saldana was the sales Rep we had and he did a great job. We had alot of fun. I felt the price of the car was fair, the condition of the car is excellent. We will buy with Carosel again.

I took my car in to be serviced because the check engine light came on. They broke something in my car while fixing it and made me pay for the part, and after having my car back for 3 days the check engine light came on again. Customer service was horrible and I could tell they didn't care about explaining the service to me or answering my questions.

I recently bought my first car from Carousel VW and wanted to inform others of my experience. Ie lived in town for some time now and have heard mostly negative things about this dealership but wanted to give them a chance to earn my business. First of all, I pleased with the quality of the vehicle I purchased and with the amount of time the salesman took to make sure I selected the right vehicle for me. He was patient and thorough and knowledgeable about the cars that were available. The dealership was quite busy with an end of the month promotion the day I bought my car. I purchased a car without an in-dash GPS but did ask about the possibility of adding a VW navigation unit after the sale. The salesman assured me that this was possible and quoted an estimate of $800. He was unable to confirm this, however, as the parts department was closed for the evening. After signing the paperwork I began to think about the various GPS options and decided that an in-dash unit might address my concerns about theft and having unsightly cords hanging in the car interior. I decided that I might like to go ahead with the VW unit so I inquired again about the price. At this time the parts department was open and I was quoted a price around $1000 higher than the original estimate. The salesman did offer to discuss this situation with dealership manager Bill Williamson and also guided me through aftermarket options should I decide not to go ahead with the factory unit. He put in a significant amount of time and effort after the sale researching options for me. Despite the original miscommunication regarding the price of the GPS Bill Williamson was only willing to negotiate a several hundred dollar discount on price. The $800 quoted was a non-starter as was my offer to eet him halfwayon the price difference. I did buy this car without a written guarantee of the cost of adding a GPS unit later and wish now that I had not done so. Coming from a customer-focused relationship with my previous car dealer I was perhaps nae in this regard. Do I still love the car? Yes. Would I feel comfortable dealing again with Carousel VW? No. If you choose to do business with them I would caution you to have a written agreement regarding all aspects of the sale before you complete the deal. They worked hard to arn my businessbefore the sale but have shown relative disregard at the management level for maintaining my satisfaction as a customer thereafter. At least I know now where I stand with Carousel VW and why previous comments Ie heard from others in the community about the business practices of Carousel VW have not been positive. Bill Williamson is the reason I won purchase here again.

Purchased a used 2011 Audi A6 from Carousel this past weekend. Had the pleasure of doing business with Riley in their sales department. He hadn't worked there very long, but for what he lacked in specific model knowledge, he more than made up for in personality and friendliness. I thought that price may be the ultimate issue (because I had a trade), but in the long run we got the deal done. On top of that, Riley and a few other employees stayed an hour after closing to get the paperwork done, my new car purchase clean and ready, and with plenty of smiles until we were ready to take the 200 mile trip back home. Overall, I consider the whole experience fantastic and would highly recommend doing business with Riley and Carousel Motors in Iowa City.

I have just bought my fourth new car from Carousel Motors in Iowa City, Iowa. The service and sales experience that I get from the folks at Carousel are what keeps me coming back to them when it is time for a new Mercedes. From the service technicians, service manager, and sales staff- the entire experience at Carousel is out-standing! This is the 3rd Nissan that I have bought from the dealership. I like Nissan's because I am short and I like that the seat goes up and the steering wheel goes up and down. The seat fits my legs better than other cars. Javier was very pleasant to work with. He explained all the new features which were different from the car I traded.

The worst dealership in Iowa City, IA. I took my Mercedes Benz there several different times to get my motor checked for an oil leak. I went back several times and they refused to accept the car was not going to be able to be fixed without exceeding the price of the car. Mercedes Benz has had several issues with oil leaks in the E Class motors. This eventually led to a class action settlement. Carousel Motors knew this the whole time and never told me about it. When I told them about the lawsuit they couldn't help me without me paying for it.Never again.

I was looking for a new car (specifically a 5-speed New VW Beetle). Although I was a prime target for a quick and easy sale, the local VW dealership unfortunately wasn't much help. (I tried local first because I thought it would be easier.) The very next day I decided to call Carousel. I had purchased my current car from them in 2004, and had a good experience at that time. I figured it would be well worth the hour drive if they could find the car I wanted. 4 hours, and a few phone calls later, Carousel had found my new car for me! Essentially everything was done over the phone in one afternoon. I can't say enough about Carousel and the service I received there. Joey was great! I love my new car, and am now a life-long customer. Thanks Carousel!

I have been dealing with Carousel Motors and Tor Nicklaus since about 1999. Purchasing both new and used cars. I have always had a great experience and have recommended many friends to them and Tor over the years. Also they have a great service dept with Allen and Andy and the team. My tech in the service dept even knows my name when I come in for routine service. In a world where customer service is suspect I always feel like I am there number 1 priority when I come in. When it comes time to trade cars I always shop around for what the best price that the competition may have but always come back to Carousel Motors and Tor as I know I will get the best deal out there. I was looking to buy a used car. Before I purchased it I took it to a third-party mechanic to look over ther car, he said it needed new brakes and new tires. The dealer previously told me that the brakes and tires were newly replaced. Before my husband met me, he purchased a used Jeep Cherokee from them. After two months of ownership, the car burst into flames on the interstate because a factory recall service had not been performed on the vehicle before they sold it to him.
