Today I bought my first brand new 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. My experience at Bill Penney was Amazing 👏🏾 Robert P. was an awesome salesman. He was very kind and patient, I didn't feel rushed or pressured. Also the manager Derrick D. was so kind and professional! He has a great team working with him and I will forever be grateful for the time they took to find me what I wanted. These guys are great!!!!! If you are looking, they will find it. My wife and I came to bill Penny looking to lower our payment from our current vehicle and find something that would fit our family of six. We were very interested in some used mini vans and willing to trade our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. After seeing there was nothing that peaked our interest, the salesman showed us a brand new 2022 Outlander. The car is very nice and had a third row just like we needed. Well, after buying the vehicle, which was mostly a smooth process, the next day we loaded up the car (which includes a 1 month old car seat, a two year old car seat, a 17yr and a 10 yr old 😳 we quickly discovered this car could not fit our needs. After calling two days after purchase and 100 miles later, these people are not willing to take the car back. They said we would take a loss on it because it was used now. Even though we purchased it with 345 miles on it and only put a 100on it. I was willing to swap it for a used mini van of theirs even though I wanted our car back but they told us that was not an option. After looking at the contract they have a lot of fees that they do not mention. Like a $600 docking fee, aka a fake fee and a $998 dealer fee. Oh and we were told this a 4.1 interest rate and it was a 4.28. They really did get over on us good 😀 I hope it feels great to screw over a family with 4 kids with two of the kids being babies.

It was a wonderful experience and in a nice calm 1 on 1 deal. They all where so friendly and wasn't just trying to make a sale. Truly friendly place. Any one buying a new car or truck i would highly recommend this place. It was just a great experience buying my first BRAND NEW OF THE LOT 🙂🥰 vehicle! Big thanks to Finley! Finley Drewery and Trista Lester were my salesmen and did a great job! They were very patient and busy during the 6 hours I was there. Some of that was me looking around but some was because they were so busy. Likes: -no haggle pricing makes it easy. - Nice, knowledgeable staff - clean vehicles. - Good website. - servicing the vehicle was quick and painless - appreciate the Penny Perks with the first oil change free. Dislikes: -one of the trucks was marked wrong but they fixed it. - one of the Tacoma’s smelled like smoke; I’m sure they tried to clean it but it made it easy to say no. - all their vehicles have little gas in it. Not an issue for test drives but when you buy it they don’t fill it up. After spending 30K on a truck, it’d be nice to have the gas filled. - no haggle pricing makes you feel like you aren’t getting a deal. - service prices are outlandish and the parts department never returned my call but the prices were high anyway so I went elsewhere Finley and Trista were awesome and I’d use them again!

I am so beyond happy that I chose Bill Penney Toyota when I had to start shopping for a new car. My salesman, Vernon Mason, was an absolute blessing! As soon as I got there he greeted me and made me feel welcomed. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. I'm a long time multiple Toyota owner, but Bill Penney Toyota will never get my business again. The Sales Team oversold promises they couldn't keep and the Service department has been huge compost heap of issues. Bill Penney has managed to turn new car purchase excitement into buyer's remorse nightmare. That is all.

I got a used car recently from Bill Penney that I found on cars.com and it was great. The internet sales rep, Mr. French didn't call me a gazillion times and worked with me in a respectful way. He was very knowledgeable about the car as well. The whole process was fast and enjoyable (and this being my fifth car purchase, that's saying a lot). Great folks to work with not the annoying car salesmen you always hear about these guys aren't predators.

I have to admit, that when my wife asked me to go with her to Bill Penney Toyota, I thought there was no way we would be purchasing a vehicle that night. However, after meeting with "Frenchy" and taking a couple car for test drives; I figured I'd at least hear them out. I had done a little homework in advance and knew how much I would be willing to pay for a 2016 Highlander - and of course my wife wanted one with every conceivable option (Platinum). Even though it did take several hours, I can honestly say I felt that they were willing to negotiate on everything and we felt that we walked away with a vehicle for LESS than we were willing to pay. They (everyone we dealt with) actually made it a pleasant experience and I would totally recommend Bill Penney Toyota to anyone.

My husband and I decided it was time to upgrade our 2010 Honda. As we talked about which route to take we determined that we would like to get as new a model car as possible with the cash we had saved to make a purchase. We both believed that we would put our Accord EXL for sale to get the maximum amount for it rather than taking a low ball trade in offer from a dealer. We decided to be open to looking for a low mileage 2015 or 2016 vehicle. We narrowed our search to Honda Accord EXL, Toyota Camry XLE, and a Nissan Altima with a similar package. We decided to make a trip to the three dealerships in Huntsville to see what the 2016 cars had to offer. We test drove each of the vehicles and took our 2010 Honda to each location to be evaluated. At this point in the narrative I am not going to speak about the other two dealerships. My review will be of Bill Penney Toyota. To begin with, God directed our path to the dealership on a day when Mr. James Jackson met with us. We are a couple in our late 60s. We have been around the block a time or two in all those years. James Jackson was undoubtably the most knowledgeable sales person concerning his product that we have ever encountered. His personality, honesty, integrity, manners, and ethics superseded any experience we have had. Because of his knowledge and understanding of what we were looking for, he took up step by step to find the right vehicle for our situation. We traded our 2010 Honda Accord because the folks at Bill Penney Toyota gave us what we were looking for if we had sold the car on our own. We didn't have to settle for a 2015 or 2016 vehicle. We drove away in a 2017 Toyota Camry XLE with all the safety features we needed and desired. We decided to finance the vehicle and had the same exception service from Mr. Jeremy Johnson. Again, Jeremy was a class act; honest, ethical, knowledgeable and accommodating. I can wholeheartedly recommend Bill Penney Toyota as a dealership that wants your business and has made their business model one to be proud of. No wonder they are the #1 seller of Toyotas in the state of Alabama. Hats off to the owners, managers, employees, and especially to James Jackson. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I bought a used "As -Is" car on a Saturday night with the promise of new tires. I picked the car up on the following Sunday and dropped t back off on Monday morning for the tires. Picked the car back up on Wednesday and it was shaking and pulling to the right. Got home and the check engine light, VSC light, and traction control light all came on. Be aware, the car had absolutely no problems when I bought it and drove it a couple of days and it was fine. I called them and they told me to bring it in. They gave me a loaner car. A couple of days later I called for an update. They said they fixed the shaking, but wasn't going to fix the lights that were on. I was livid. I know what buying a car "as-is" means, but the car was not problematic until they had it for the tires. I went up there and was very upset. Before I could even get a word out the manager said they were going to fix it. Trell, our salesmen had been our advocate from the get-go. He was up front and honest since day one. He was a very nice and respectful young man earning money the right way. This is or third car we have bought from them and definitely won't be our last.

I bought a new 2015 Toyota Highlander a few days ago and I couldn't be happier with my buying experience at Bill Penney Toyota. This is the 3rd new vehicle I've purchased from Bill Penney since 2007. My daughter is now driving the 2007 Toyota 4Runner which has never had a problem. My wife is driving a 2011 Toyota Rav4 which has also been trouble-free. I bought a Prius two last year from Bill Penny. Well after having it just a few days over a year I had a wreck and totalled it. As soon as I heard it had been totalled I immediately went back to them again. The salesman knew I was coming so he held the keys to the car I was interested in all day ready for me. I was there right at two hours from walking in to driving out. I will definitely use them again if needed. Jose made sure to set everything up in my new car and make sure everything was set up and ready before I left.

My husband and I visited this dealership to test drive a new Corolla. We ended up purchasing vehicle from Aaron Strom and counldn't be happier. We had not planned on puchasing that night but we were given such wonderful service from Aaron and ended up getting such a good deal that we decided to go ahead and purchase. This is the fourth vehicle that we have purchased from this dealership. I had always dealt with Tommy Terrell who is now retired but Aaron was a wonderful young man to deal with. He was very knowledgeable and very courteous especially considering that we were there so late. And trust me my husband is a hard person to deal with but he was impressed with Aaron and the whole staff at Bill Penney. It's nice to be treated as well as we were and not just feel like we were another sale under their belt.

Wayne Lurvey helped me with my sale all the way in Bangor, ME. I got a great trade in price on my previous vehicle and into my new Rav4 xle. My previous car became too small very fast after my twin boys were born. Now we have the perfect amount of space and still driving in luxury without being in a mini van. I was hesitant with buying out of state but now I know I will have to go back to Wayne next time we are in the market for a new vehicle.

I was looking for a new car and had a set payment amount and price in mind. I drove 4 or 5 different cars before I decided which on I liked. Robert Sledge was my salesman and he listened to everything I had to say about each car I drove. I drove from Gadsden, Al to Huntsville, Al after communicating via email and by cell phone. I had a scheduled appointment as well as a confirmation number and was not notified by the salesman a spoke with"Jeremy Gordon" that the vehicle had been sold. Needless to say my pregnant wife and I were very disappointed in the service we didn't receive at Bill Penney Toyota.

For the first time in history my wife and I have met a car salesman that we like. Ron has been extremely helpful, straightforward, no bull, and amazingly nice. If every car salesman was like this one buying cars would be a wonderful experience for everyone. I like the no pressure way this guy works. He is the reason we have come back here to buy a car instead of going out of state.

As soon as I walked in the door the manager came up to introduce himself and was extremely nice. Not long after I was greeted by my salesman that proceeded to assist me with looking at the vehicle I was interested in. So far the experience has been pleasant!

My experience with Bill Penny Toyota and Shon Bailey was excellent. Shon first showed the vehicle to my wife and daughters and the next trip I asked for his assistance due to my wife's comments about Shon. He treated us with honesty and respect without the typical stress one may find from other salespeople. The negotiation was straigtforward and to the point. The paperwork was a bit lengthy since I chose to finance, maybe even similar to securing a mortgage, but was fairly quick and painless. I would recommend this dealership.

This dealer can't even get an oil change right. My Toyota requires 5-30w oil per the owner manual. 5w-30 is even written on the oil filler cap! I took it in for a oil change when new and they used 0-20w! 0-20w is not recommended for my car which has a V6. You would think the dealer would know this! The mistake was not noticed until I went in for my next oil change, so I was driving around for 5k miles with the wrong oil in the engine of my new Toyota! When I complained they said they were sorry but would't do anything for me. I would not trust my car for any service at this dealer. An oil change is the simplest possible service and they couldn't even get that right, and wouldn't take responsibility for their mistake!

I was looking to trade in a used BMW 328i that I had bought as a certified pre-owned vehicle. Their first offer on that trade-in was $4000 BELOW the trade-in blue book value. That is not a typo - $4000 BELOW blue book value. They tried to say that the color (light tan) made it difficult to sell. Needless to say, we deemed them unworthy of our business. We ended up trading it in at Serra Toyota of Decatur for a few hundred OVER blue book value and the price of the vehicle we bought was a few hundred BELOW blue book value. Also of note is that the BMW we traded in never made it on to their lot. An auction guy bought it as we were signing the paperwork for our new vehicle. So much for the color being an obstacle to selling it. In short, they tried to take advantage of us by offering a completely ludicrous trade-in allowance. I don't respect their ethics and would not recommend them to anyone.

First let me say that when I go out to buy a new car it is an adventure, and for some who have to deal with me, it is a nuisance. I search many makes and models, pricing, service, value and other aspects of buying a new car. After comparing and contrasting different dealerships, I ended up at Bill Penny Toyota. There I was met with friendly and very knowledgeable people, who tolerated my million and a half questions and several trips to the dealership. I never felt pressed to buy and never felt that they were tired of my relentless goal of making the BEST deal. If my primary salesman had to leave for closing on another deal, he would hand me off to his very knowledgeable manager. The switch was made seemlessly, as if he already knew what had been discussed which kept me from repeating my concerns. To me they were very easy to negotiate pricing on the new vehicle as well as the trade in value. The whole atmosphere at the dealership was friendly and down home. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership to ANYONE interested in buying a Toyota.

I took my wife's Prius C in for its first service and wandered around looking at inventory (Saturday early AM) and found a salesperson in early as well. We talked about new cars without any pressure and agreed to talk again sometime when I was actually shopping. Then, my great experience in Service with helpful, timely support lead me back to sales. I bought a new Prius for myself by that Wednesday. They made the deal I wanted and I didn't get any typical "Vulture" treatment. Great place.

I had requested a quote for a new Toyota Sienna from Bill Penney Toyota, they provided a quote very quickly and the price was the lowest in the area. The salesman was not pushy and was helpful in all phases. The van was exactly what I wanted and I have not had any problems with it. Bill Penney has followed up several times to make sure I was happy with the van. The best buying experience I have ever had. For once, a dealership cared about the customer and didn't treat the customer like a number.

I ended up buying a new 2012 HHL from Bill Penney because I could not find the exact configuration I wanted within 500 miles of my ZIP code (I live in Texas). I dealt primarily with Jim Kilgore and briefly with Vic Heartsill. Aside from the whole thing being a rather long and drawn out affair, it was actually a pleasant experience. I guess communicating via phone and email takes away a lot of the confrontational aspect of buying a new car. They installed all the equipment that I asked for - and I asked for quite a bit. Would recommend this dealer to others based on my experience.
