I had an absolutely wonderful and pleasurable car buying experience thanks to Danny Brestal. I stopped by Auffenberg Ford O'Fallon on a Thursday afternoon because I was interested in buying a new Mustang. After meeting Danny and taking a test drive, he listened carefully to what I was looking for in the Mustang I wanted to buy, and he located the exact one I wanted including color, engine, transmission, and FOG LIGHTS! I was driving in my new 2016 dark blue Mustang V6 by Saturday afternoon. Danny worked with me on getting an excellent price on my trade-in, and his sense of humor kept the experience fun and entertaining. The extra accessories I asked to be included in the sale price of the car were ordered and arrived by the following Wednesday, so the entire transaction was concluded in less than a week.Shaun Stinnett who helped with my financing paperwork was also extremely organized and professional. I have never owned a Ford automobile before, but I could not be happier with my new Mustang, and I can now officially say that I have driven a Ford lately!

When we first arrived we were warmly greeted. The people we spoke to talked to us and guided us to Chelsea. He greeted and spoke to us conversationally-without and sales pitch. He listened to what we were searching for and worked with us for some time to show us a vehicle we liked/wanted and in our price range. He is professional and courteous. It was a good buying experience without pressure. Very enjoyable, I mean that. We had been to four dealerships before Auffenberg. We had been treated as second class customers or high pressure sales. When we have need of a car again, we'll come back to Auffenberg.

I was looking for a used car, specifically a Nissan Altima, they had 2 that I was very interested in looking at so I headed over to test drive them. After my drives I wasn't quite sold on either of them so I browsed around a bit. The best part was I told them my price range and they had all the vehicles together in the same area so we didn't have to go all over the lot. I saw a very sharp looking Chevy and thought what the heck let's take that one for a spin. Well needless to say I told them what I wanted to pay, how much I wanted my payments to be a month and hoped they could give me a good quote on my trade and that's it folks, I drove home that car! The salesman was great, he was close by to answer any of my questions about each car I was interested in, showed me the car fax on them and was not overly pushy or hovering at any time. The financing man was very respectful and said if you do not understand sumthing just stop me and I'll explain it better. I am a first time customer there and I would highly recommend this dealership to any of my friends. Thanks Guys!!!

We purchased a 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid to replace a 16yo 2000 Lincoln Towncar. Although my 4yo and 9yo boys cried and hugged/kissed the Lincoln good bye, my husband and I are thrilled with our purchase. The entire experience was smooth and seamless, from being greeted by Eric our salesman, finished up with the Assistant Manager TJ, and Shaun with Finance. Even salesman Dave and Allstate rep Kyle were awesome with our boys! Eric kept working to reach our right price. TJ helped set our door code, program all our electronics (sync phone and garage door opener), answered all our questions, and helped entertain our boys while we worked out all the paperwork with Shaun in finance. Shaun explained everything thoroughly and creatively worked out an affordable method for the extended warranty. All while salesman Dave popped popcorn for our boys and even gave them each a few quarters for being good while waiting. You won't be disappointed with the service you receive from Auffenburg Ford North!

I purchased a new Mustang GT here after shopping the car at 6 other dealers in the surrounding St. Louis area. I was able to afford a more expensive spec'd out GT for a lower monthly payment then other dealers were offering for cheaper base model GTs. The customer service experience was phenomenal from test drive to financing.

Sale went great, but that's all they care about. Once you're gone, you're a second class citizen. I'd brought up an issue with the MyKey I noticed with the test drive, but 4 hours later, everyone forgot about it, including me. I left messages and called back the following Monday when they opened and got through to my salesman, Jerry Schaefer. He hadn't called me back, I had to call him. He said he'd look into it. 4 hours later, I called back for an update. Again, I had to call, no call from them. He said I could come in on Tuesday and have a new key made. This happened without a hitch, new key made, they covered the cost, just cost me 3 hours of my afternoon/ evening. Fast forward 5 days (so 8 days after I bought the truck) and it dies doing 70 down the highway. My family of 5 stuck on the highway, truck will not start. I had it towed to the local ford dealership to where I was (Cuba, MO) to be looked at. I called Jerry again, leaving a message. Do you think he called me back on Tuesday (Monday was Labor Day)? Nope, I had to call him. He said without them looking at it in their service center, he didn't think there was much he could do, but that he'd call me back. Never got a call, and I've left several messages. I've talked to his boss, he says because I didn't buy the warranty, they couldn't do anything. The kicker is what was wrong with the truck. The body control module was loose, unclasped, causing the truck to stop running and not start. You'd think that they would inspect their vehicles before they sell them. How could something so important be left as this was? I guess with auffenberg you have to buy the warranty to protect yourself from their negligence. I will never go back to this dealership. It's the worst post-sale service I've ever gotten.

Brandon Crow was GREAT to work with!! He was very helpful and went out of his way to get everything I asked for. The man that came in to "close the deal"(his words) almost hand me walking out the door, without a car. I haven't had the car long but hopefully will continue to have the great customer service I've received thus far!

This was my first car purchase. I was very nervous. Paul was really helpful and even offered to give me a ride since my car was inoperable. If you're looking for a car Paul will try to do what he can to get you what you want. I told him I was on a strict budget and he only showed me vehicles that were in my price range. He didn't pressure me to try to get anything higher than I could afford. I would highly recommend Auffenberg North in O'Fallon IL. Don't forget to ask for Paul Frayer.

Found my selection at Auffenburg and, despite the fact it was a bit of a drive from where I am, it was well worth it. TJ was fantastic, friendly, very helpful. Sean was great at getting me financed despite my poor credit rating. Very happy with the people, the service, and most importantly - the car.

So my daughter spilled milk in my car last Thursday. That morning I called numerous detail shops who weren't available at the time due to rain. I called Auffenberg Ford and although they said they couldn't get me in the same day (Thursday) the advised they could detail my car the next morning at 8am.I checked in with Louis and I asked if I could be dropped off by 8:30 because I had a appointment I couldn't miss. At the last minute they found a lady to drop me off. She was extremely nice and pleasant to drive with. I was only at my appointment for a hour so I called back and advised I was ready. The same nice lady picked me and we returned to the dealership. At that point I was advised that my car was still being cleaned. They did know how much longer it would take. The literally "detailed" my car for 4 and a half hours. When finished I had to hurry and pick my daughter up from school. At glance I could tell they DIDNT DETAIL MY CAR! I called for a 5 days (Wednesday) until finally a manager named Kevin called me back. He stated they did ,my car as a favor being as though i didn't pay for it. I advised him I did pay 55.00 and he said how we don't even do detailing here. He said they only cleaned NEW cars that they sell. He told me he would check with the Service manager and then he would get back to me. Well about 3 hours later I get a call from a guy named Tim Clark he said said he was a manager and he got a call from Kevin and he was checking in with me to see the problem. I explained everything to him he to advised they DO NOT DO DETAILS! He said the best he could do is take my car but it will cost 200.00 for a full detail. I explained i didn't need a full i just need a detail in the interior of my car. He then said well I don't know the price for that let me check and ill get back to you on MONDAY! I said why monday its only Wednesday. He then said oh i thought it was Friday ill get back with you tomorrow mornin. I agreed and we hung up. about 10 minutes later I got a call from another manager Brian. He stated the same 200.00 deal I also explained to him I don't need all of that he said he understood.He too advised they don't do detailing they only do something called Auto Butler which is a top coat for the outside of the car. I told him I was so frustrated with this whole ordeal he said he understood where I was coming from. He told me to bring the car back (Thursday) and he will get the inside cleaned as it is supposed to. I went back they cleaned the car for about 45 minutes. I got a call from Brian saying the car was ready. When I got in my car it was still fingerprints everywhere and trash on the floor. I immediately turned around to go get Brian. When he came I asked what is their definition of a detail because maybe I'm asking for the wrong thing. He said well the complete inside cleaned. When i opened the door he stared at everything and shook his head. He apologized and said i will have a talk with him and this is the reason why they don't offer detail services. he told me to bring it back tomorrow (today) and he would get it professionally cleaned. i agreed and i said all i need is my seats and carpets cleaned he explained he understood and said ill even have then do the outside for the inconvenience. no big deal about the outside but i appreciated the gesture. So i bring the car back today, I have the same appointment as last week so i needed a ride by 8:40. Brian came and explained they had a few other rides he needed to arrange and he would get back to me. I understood. I had to leave to make my appointment because it didn't look as if they would be done on time. no big deal again. I call Brian and try to explain that ill be back in a hour when i got his voicemail. He then calls me back about 15 minutes later and says his manage said they are done with my car they aren't doing nothing else with it. I asked him xxx he means he said it want him it was a manager by the name of Tim Clarke at ext 1510. I called and left a message and he called me back. He said he was over this situation he said he told me he was handling it but here it is Friday he never called me back yesterday. He stated they the 200.00 cleaning was the only thing he could do.b He then said if they only did the inside it will be 115.00 I told him that unacceptable. I already paid 55.00. He said well he didn't know what to tell me. I asked for a manager (general) he said he was it and this is all that is going to happen. So then I asked so basically you're just taking my money and I have no service... he replied with basically and chuckled. If you need of any service I would stay away from them they have horrible service

My experience with Auffenberg Ford was awesome. My salesman Mike Krausz was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Aaron even took time to come out and talk to me before and after the deal. All and all I would say it was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I would recommend Mike and Auffenberg Ford to anyone considering a new vehicle.

I will give them credit they gave me a rental car when my car needed a repair and they ended up doing what they could to get me at a price I could afford without being in the hole with my monthly budge and everything. I regret making the purchase I did. They were so pushy and pushed me through my limit to sign the papers. I stood my ground to get what I wanted but I ended up wanting to back out and say I wanted to look at some other options and play it safe, I wasn't comfortable with it. I literally tried walking out a few times and 3 salesmen (2 of them managers) were convincing me to get the brand new car and stopping me. It wasn't right and I didn't feel like my requests to think more about the big decision were being respected. I'm at a point where I want to try to get a house and get an engagement ring and start paying off student loans but I can't do all of that yet because I'm paying too much for a car. Partly my fault, I could have just said "give me my keys back now because I'm walking out no matter what you say, I want to think it over and if you sell the car tomorrow that's fine." But I was trying to be nice and didn't say it. I am trying to trade in my car before the value does down too much more. At a dealership I'm at now, they are trying to help me out. Not trying to get me to buy buy buy. After this purchase I feel like I was dumb and made a dumb decision. This doesn't happen to everyone but it did happen to me, had a bad experience. My family used to like Auffenberg and Auffenberg used to be awesome for us, always would go to Auffenberg ford. But the past few years we have been disappointed.

I retired from 21 years of Active Duty in the military (U.S. Coast Guard) and use USAA for my auto insurance and other services, including their New Car Buying Service. Auffenberg Ford is one of USAAs Preferred Dealerships and I took advantage of the guaranteed discount they worked out with Auffenberg. Auffenberg was quick to respond to the notification that I was interested in the USAA Buying service. Mr. Robert Stevenson is the sales associate who assisted me. He was timely, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He and the dealership worked hard for me (and for the dealership & Ford). They found the specific car I wanted and though it was at a dealership 300 miles away, they made arrangements to have it delivered to Auffenberg. The car was well-cleaned and prepped. The sale price was very good; the allowance given for my two-car trade-in was fair and maybe even generous; I appreciated the $500 military discount; they threw in the Auto Butler exterior finish care treatment (5 year term & guarantee); Fords $2K trade-in bonus cash was very helpful; also took advantage of Fords 60 month 0% financing (which is really what helped drive my decision to purchase now rather than wait another year or two).

I want to thank all of the people involved in helping me get the Mazda 5 I purchased. The one I have was totaled in an accident and I really wanted another one of these-smaller car with seating for 5, which is what I need. Between the VIP Mgr, Paul, my salesman, and the wonderful guy in financing who made sure I got this car. I have a son who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and treatments have been expensive so I needed the car to be brought in at a reasonable price so I could make sure I can keep my son's health as my top priority. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. I enjoy driving the Ford vehicles. This is my 4th Ford vehicle and by far this is one of the best dealerships I have had the experience to do business with. I had a 2001 F-150 and during a usual day to work the truck died on the side of the road. I had the truck towed to the Auffenburg dealership in Belleville. I was disappointed there, when they did not have a courtesy vehicle to drive while my truck was being repaired. Lucky this dealership was able to get my vehicle repaired quickly. When I decided to get another one to replace the other vehicle I had tried other brands and they did not meet the space or features I was looking for--The Ford F-150 Super Crew definitely did. Brandon Blue assisted us and did a remarkable job with the experience and knowledge of the Ford trucks we were looking for. Thanks for the great experience.

After being told to hurry this thing along and sign the papers by the salesman since it was his day off the finance guy then tried charging me $1,000 more than the advertised price of the vehicle then he raised his voice to me when I told him I didn't want to buy the extended warranty. If I hadn't drove 4 hours to get to this dealership I would have got up and walked off. it was terrible I will never go here again or recommend anyone here.

I just purchased my first car from here last night on 10/13/2015. I had a great experience. I live over an hour and a half away, so I made sure to do my homework before driving up. Vernez was great over the phone, and he secured the car I was interested in. When I arrived, I was taken care of 100% by the great staff. I showed up with financing already secured, and they wanted to beat what I had. They tried and tried, but couldn't convince me. They worked with me tooth and nail, and won me over to finance through them. All in all, being my first experience, it was something else; in a good way. I worked with Sales Consultant Erik Schroen, who was extremely busy this specific Saturday. Prior to this day, I had been texting Erik regarding my desire to purchase a new F150 on the employee discount plan. Then my wife and I came in on Saturday and the dealership was scrambling to keep up with customers. This included Erik. This is my second new vehicle purchase from Auffenburg within 9 months, so I knew the drill. However, my wife had to be at an appointment within 2 hours and we were on a time crunch. Unfortunately, Erik was with customers who had appointments, but he did not let that stop us. Erik asked my wife and I to pick out a few trucks we would like to drive and he would get the keys. This was great, because we drove a few trucks while he was closing other deals and were able to select one we liked. My wife was able to make her appointment and I was able to finish the paperwork and drive home my new truck. Now on to what just doesn't happen anymore....... After purchasing my new truck I was reviewing the finance paperwork and had a few questions about how some of the numbers were calculated. In other words, I had some concerns I was not paying attention to the details and was only focused on the final number. That said, I emailed the finance manager on Sunday morning at 7:39am and Robert Ward replied back within 27 minutes and answered several repetitive emails and clarified all of my concerns...... When is the last time you had this type of response on Sunday from any car dealership? That's right, never. Great job Robert and thank you for caring about your customers enough to put there minds at ease as quickly as possible. Erik and Robert, you both are assets to Auffenburg Ford, but more importantly the customers.

With the sale of the vehicle they were nice, however when we took the truck back for warranty work, they were rude and refused to even try to fix my issue! I was irritated! A friend told me to call the Service Manager at Auffenberg Ford O'fallon. I was reluctant so I was not very nice on the phone. Brian, the Manager, told me how it should have been handled, calmed me down, and told me what to do. Even offered to come pick my truck up. He bent over backwards. I looked online for a replacement vehicle that evening and found what I wanted at Auffenberg Ford. Although they were 3 hours away and I had never dealt with them before, I called that night and had the good fortune to speak with Mark Dennison. We reached an agreed price right away without any hassle at all. I met him before the dealership even opened the next morning. At my request, he already had the paperwork ready to go. So after a test drive and some signatures, I was out of there and back home by 1pm. Things couldn't have gone any smoother. With that kind of stress free shopping experience, I won't be waiting as long to buy a vehicle next time. And I'll be calling Auffenberg. (By the way, I love my Ford Edge.)

We packed up and drove the kids for over an hour and a half after calling at least three times in reference to a car available on their lot. When we arrived, the kids and I went to look around while my husband spoke with the dealer. Long story, short...the car we came for has been sold for TWO WEEKS!!! We even called along the way... We planned to test drive it tonight, and purchase it before the weekend. The dealer was not apologetic and had nothing to offer us despite our long trip. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP! I'm not even sure that car ever existed. If I could give a negative rating, I would! This has been an awful experience! DO NOT TRUST THEY HAVE WHAT YOU WANT IN STOCK! I had my first experience with Auffenberg during my recent truck purchase. I was pleasantly surprised as I came in with a hard situation, and they not only solved my request but went far beyond and set me up in a much better situation, with better warranty and loan terms. I am used to having to wheel and deal for the little extras with dealers, and Auffenberg just set me up without me even asking. I will be coming back next time I have an auto need.

I recommend Auffenberg highly, they were very nice, courtious, my original salesman was with a customer when I got there, but he already had another salesman lined up for me to take my test drive, I did not have to wait, I work 60-70 hours a week & they always work around my schedule, I have bought 2 cars from Dustin (salesman) & will continue to go there in the future. I tell him what I am looking for & he always has them ready when I get there, the 2 I have bought from there have always been detailed out & full of gas. Just great People to work with.

First of all, let me start by thanking Auffenberg Ford North for making our car buying experience a pleasurable one. My wife and I set out on Friday morning to test drive several mid-size SUV's. Auffenberg Ford was our third stop of the day. When we first arrived we took a few minutes to browse the lot to find the vehicle that we came to test drive. Once we found the vehicle on the lot, we gave it a quick once over and then proceeded inside to find a salesman. Once inside we were greeted by Derrick Young and we proceeded to tell him that we were here to test drive. Explaining, along the way, that we still had a few other vehicles to test drive before we make a decision. Derrick proceeded to walk us through the vehicle...explaining and demonstrating the features. Once the test drive was finished we provided Derrick with some information. It was at that point that he offered to take us over to another Auffenberg lot to test drive another vehicle from a different manufacturer. We test drove the additional vehicle and then decided that that we had seen enough at that point. We told Derrick that we wanted to head back to Auffenberg Ford to purchase the 2015 Ford Explorer Limited that we a tested earlier. Once back at the Ford dealership, Derrick started the paperwork and we threw out our initial drive it off the lot price. We went back and forth over the sales price for about 20 minutes. (Keep in mind that Derrick doing his absolute best to get the deal that we wanted.) In the end, after a bit of compromise, we reach a price that was acceptable for everyone involved. Overall there were three things that I appreciated about our experience at Auffenberg Ford. One was the fact that Derrick Young was great. He was patient, understanding, and did his best to help get us the deal & the vehicle that we were looking for. Secondly, we only worked with Derrick through the whole process. This was extremely nice...since you usually get tagged teamed by the salesman, the sales manager, and even the janitor. Which, as you may know, can be a bit overwhelming when that occurs. And the third thing that we appreciated was the fact that we never felt pressured to make the purchase. I would advise those that are in the market for a new car to do their homework before they go car shopping. In the end it will help make things a bit easier...but nothing will replace working with a nice group of individuals at the dealership. I want to thank everyone that was involved in the sales process; including Aaron Paton (New Car Sales Manager), Ron Cannon (Used Car Sales Manager)...he test drove our trade-in, Shawn McCarty (F&I Manager), and last but not least Derrick Young. We would like to give a special thanks to Derrick for making the whole process smooth and pressure free. We will definitely do business again with Derrick and Auffenberg Ford North. Went Auffenberg Ford in O'Fallon to look at Escapes. Have been in the market for about a month looking at SUV's and crossovers and had narrowed it down to the Rogue or Escape. We met Jason when we arrived and he took the time to ask some questions about our family and interests and was very genuine. He showed us the Escapes and gave the best showing of a vehicle we had seen.( had been to 5 different dealerships and looked at at least that many cars) we had questions about how it compared to the Rogue and by the time he showed the price it was the easiest decision ever to choose the Escape. Auffenberg Ford is great and we were driving home in our new Escape in less than 2 1/2 hours! Highly recommend Jason Banos and Auffenberg Ford O'Fallon!

I think I have found a dealer that actually can sell a car with out just being over bearing. Paul Frayer was our sales person. He treated me and my wife with the respect you should treat any new friend. He was straight with us from the start to the finish. He was not nervous but showed he had compassion for his job and was interested in my wife and I getting the car we wanted not just what he had on the lot. I will buy from Paul Frayer again he is one of the "good ones".

I called the dealership to inquire if a particular used car was stilll available. I was told that it was and I made an appointment for about 1 hour from the time I made my initial call. I drove 40 minutes (with traffic) and arrived on time to the appointment. The manager that I was to meet greeted me and I asked about seeing the particular vehicle. He said he would need to check to see if it was still there. He sent an associate back to me to inform me that it had been sold that morning. It seems that someone would have know this when I made my initial inquiry. Why the manager decided to send someone else instead of coming to me himself is not known, but it seemed unprofessional to say the least. I doubt I will shop there again and certainly would not recommend them.

I recently bought a Mustang at Auffenberg North. My sales guy, Scott Miles, was friendly and generally made the process pretty painless. He answered my questions and was willing to research info when I stumped him about a specific feature of the car I was interested in. I would buy another car from Scott Miles. The only negative part of my buying experience relates to the finance process. I felt like the finance guy, I think his name was Anthony, was really just an extended warranty salesman. I understand that this is a profit center for the dealership and that this is a hard thing to sell but he was pushy and took almost 20 minutes to take "no" for an answer.

I had a problem with my Ford Focus, the lug bolts snapped off while I was trying to rotate the tires. I called the dealer because they were the last ones to work on the car. They said that they would take a look at the car and fix it for me. After they replaced the lug bolts and a spindle, they told me that they never worked on that wheel, but fixed it anyway. They didn't charge me for the parts or the labor even though it wasn't their fault or error. I will always bring them my business.

As a recent college graduate this was my first car buying experience and it was great. The selection of cars was stellar with a wide variety of colors and trims for virtually every car in the ford lineup. Someone greeted me upon my arrival at the lot and promptly left me alone until I was ready to ask questions and ultimately test drive. The sales associate was knowledgeable and able to answer every question I had confidently. They were not overly pushy and willing to negotiate for than expected. Huge thanks goes out to salesman Ryan Beyer and Anthony Brinker in finance. Not only did I drive off with my DREAM Fusion a year ago, my boyfriend just purchased an F-150 from them last night. Was greated warmly upon entrance by Chris and my information was taken in a prompt and timely fashion. My wait was minimal and the new waiting area was lovely and beyond comfortable. I had just had work done at a repair shop and my car was doing the same thing I took it in and just paid $400 to be repaired. A friend told me to take it to Auffenberg. Going in I was aggravated, but after the Service Manager calmed me down and explained my options, I was able to call my parents and decide what to do. He even got on the phone with my mom and explained it all to her. Thank you for going out of your way to help! I went in upset and left with my car fixed and a honest place to take my car!

I bought a jeep from them November of 2014. By February of 2015 it was already in the shop. The spark plugs had never been changed. Here's the email I just sent them:I wanted to write a brief email to let you know why I won't be buying any more vehicles at Auffenberg and why I won't use your company's repair services. When I purchased a 2008 Ford Focus from your company, I was very satisfied. Your salesperson did an excellent job. However, every interaction since then has been frustrating. I've organized it into the points below.1. Buying the car took about four hours of my time from the moment I decided to make the purchase. At one point, I'm pretty sure the underwriter forgot that I was waiting. He also kept pushing your oil change service, and I kept declining -- eventually he threw it in for free. Maybe he gets some sort of commission from that service? Anyways, I did insist on a warranty as a condition of sale; I'll take my share of the blame for not reading the fine print on the policy (more on that in a minute).2. In August of last year, I noticed a creaking sound from the front of the car. I made an appointment at Auffenberg Ford O'Fallon -- it took them two weeks to get me in, which seemed excessive.The issue was front sway bar bushings, which was a covered service. The repair took more than two weeks, if memory serves -- it might have been "just" two weeks, but that's a ridiculous amount of time. When I got my car back, it wouldn't start initially, apparently from the battery draining. I should also note that I wasn't contacted with updates, which would have made the situation better. Eventually, you guys even rented me a car for two days, which was nice, but it doesn't explain why a relatively simple repair took that much time.The invoice also seemed high, but I paid it without reading through the itemization (it was probably on point, but if I can find it, I'll have to check through it after what happened today). 3. Recently, the noise came back. Today, I took the car to Auffenberg Ford Belleville and got some bad news -- the issue is front sway bar links, which aren't covered under my warranty. Again, it's on me for not reading the warranty thoroughly, but the $130 diagnostic fee seems excessive.They wanted somewhere around $350 for the work. That's a very high price for that repair (then again, you're a dealership, so whatever), and I asked for the car back. When I went to pick it up, there was a $10 "miscellaneous" charge on the invoice -- I asked about it and they quickly took it off. It seemed sketchy, to say the least. That was the final straw for me; I've lost all confidence in your company's services.Any one of these issues on its own would not be enough to drive me to write an email like this, but I've felt like a sucker after every interaction I've had with your service department. I've actually never written a letter like this, to be honest. In the future, I'd advise better communication with your customers. Good communication and a little quality control would have prevented every issue here and I'd still be a satisfied customer. I'll be posting about this experience online and looking for a new dealer for my next vehicle. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I waited two entire weeks for them to fix my front sway bar bushings. A month later, it turns out that wasn't the initial issue -- it was the sway bar linkages, which (surprise surprise) aren't covered under my warranty. $130 for a simple diagnosis. The car buying process was uncomfortable because the salespeople are very pushy, and the warranty service is pretty much useless. Don't go here.

Robert Stevenson was very helpful in the purchase of my truck. We had some issues on the drive home and we bought it as is. They let me bring it in and fixed all the issues with no hassle. The truck was a little dirty, the brakes felt weird and the check engine light was on during the test drive. I asked to have these issues fixed. On the drive home one of the brakes were sticking and the check engine light came back on. They were repairing the mirror and forgot to reattach the passenger side door handles. All issues were fixed and I am very happy with my purchase. Overall I would rate my experience good. Thanks you Robert Stevenson for your assistance!

On 01/26/15, I bought a 2014 Ford F150 XLT... My buying experience was great. To all buyers: TAKE YOUR TIME AND BE WILLING TO WALK OUT... Haggling on prices and negotiating trade in values TAKES TIME... Don't rush the process. With that said, I worked with Dustin and he was great. He was fair and we negotiated back and forth for a few hours with some give and take. He never rushed the process and was NOT gimmicky at all! Quite a welcome change from the other dealerships I had visited (6) before this place. Dustin was pretty fair in his assessment of the trade-in value for my car... If you are a smart customer, you will have done your research on any number of websites to determine the average trade-in, used resale, and used retail value of your own car before negotiating a price. This dealership was awesome, simply put. They were friendly, great to work with, willing to negotiate (within reason), and very customer-satisfaction-oriented. I could not have asked for a better experience (I live about 3 hours away). Thanks guys!

I purchased a 2014 F150 from Auffenberg North on 10/31/2014. On 2/15/15 the service engine light came on at 2500 miles. I scheduled an appointment to have recall work done on the front seat and have them check the service light. I live at least an hour away so they rented me a small compact car (maybe half the price of what I paid for my new truck) so I could get to work. I picked up my vehicle later in the afternoon with no problems at all. When I got in my truck in the morning for work the service engine light was back on. Auffenberg will only do warranty work during the day Monday through Friday even though they are open for service late at night. I called back the next day when the light cam back on and the service department said that it would be better for me to take it somewhere else. It is warranty work no money for them so they do not want to deal with me or the problem my truck with 2600 mile on it is having. I will not take my truck back to Auffenberg and I will advise everyone I know not to deal with them. I am very disappointed in this dealership and I think they are tarnishing fords reputation.

I must say Derrick made my experience with the dealership painless. We found a vehicle for a good price on the internet, and had no problems with the purchase price of the vehicle. But when it came time for the trade in value, they will offer you nothing for your car. Their "fair market" price for your car is insulting. I am confident of this because 2 other dealerships starting offers were $2500.00 more than Auffenbergs. Needless to say we went right down the road and traded for basically the same car, with a much better offer on our trade.

This place is a joke, it isn't even worth a one star review. They are pulling a classic bait and switch on customers. We found a listing for the vehicle we wanted online, called a salesman about it and even got pre-approved for the financing for that vehicle. When we went to make sure we wanted it and purchase it the next day (after driving an hour and a half there), the salesman tried showing us other vehicles and claimed that the one we found online wasn't there. We showed them the stock number and they "tried" to locate it and then said "I guess it must have sold last night" even though they could find no record of it and they acted like the vehicle had never existed. Even though we went through all prior approval steps just the night before for THAT vehicle. They also tried claiming it wasn't on their website and while they had removed it from the search listings, the page itself was still active and easily found using Google.

WOW is all I can say about my experience this past Black Friday at Auffenberg when purchasing my brand new, very shiny 2014 F150 FX4! This is my second time purchasing a truck from Auffenberg and will NOT be my last. The facilities are very nice and Ken Carril is an AMAZING salesman to work with!! He is a very knowledgable salesman and answered all questions that I had concerning the vehicle I wanted or any questions regarding the sale in general. At no point during the sale or negotiations did he pressure me or do anything besides try to help me and get me a deal that would make me happy. As a woman, sometimes dealing with a car salesman is not such a pleasurable experience. Often times, people try to take advantage of the fact you are a woman and assume that often times women are far less knowledgable about cars than men. I am not that way and at no point did Ken make me feel like he thought that and at no point did I feel like I was being treated differently because I was a woman. I would recommend that anyone who wants to buy a new Ford go see KEN CARRIL! Auffenberg is great in general and with the help of KEN, they found me exactly what I wanted and did EVERYTHING I asked them to concerning my new purchase. It was by far the best car buying experience I have EVER had! I hope KEN CARRIL stays at Auffenberg for a long time so that when I am ready to buy another vehicle, I can work with him. Thanks again KEN and AUFFENBERG!!

I have bought many cars over my driving years, have worked professionally with new and used car dealers, so I have a lot of knowledge when going in to buy a vehicle. I found a vehicle that I was interested in, and there were rebates available on the vehicle, and thus I pursued a possible purchase of the vehicle, but when it came down time to talk numbers, they took the rebate off of the value of my trade, lowballed my potential trade vehicle which is in excellent shape with low miles, in essence, the rebates did not exist as they just deducted them from the value of my trade, I showed them information pertaining to my trade value, but got no answers when I asked as to how they came up with the low ball value, the option they came back with is to find me another car of that model, stripped down with less options and features. It was a bad buying experience, and I will not go back, I don't appreciate the way my potential deal was handled.

We had an appointment to look at a used Ranger and when we got there (a 50 mile drive) they told us the cat was already sold. After we got home the dealership called and said the previous deal fell through, are we still interested. We went back and after driving the truck decided to buy it. They offered a low ball offer on my trade in and didn't want to deal at all on their "internet special" price. I mentioned the $500 off discount coupon that was on the website and was told that that didn't apply to the "internet specials" either. We finally came to an agreement and when I asked about getting the two items that I found on the test drive that needed correction (which the salesperson said would be no problem to have fixed) I was told that due to the low margin they were making they wouldn't fix them! After more discussion they told me they would check out the window problem and if it was only a cleaning and lubing of the tracks they would fix it but, if it was anything else I would have to pay. I would not recommend Auffenberg to my worst enemy!

Get to the dealership after driving 60 miles one way after chatting online with the dealership and the car is not for sale because it needs $2000 in repairs. Horrible customer service! Stood in the lobby for 10 mins before I was helped. The grading scale is not low enough. This dealership deserves a negative rating!!! Run far away from Auffenberg.

I bought a car from Auffenberg Ford North a few weeks ago. I drove 2 1\2 hours to get to this dealership. When test driving it there was some rubbing and the salesman said they would take care of that. I sat around all day, finished the paper work only to find the rubbing sound still there. The Salesman said he talked to his boss, he said I should take it home and drive it a few days. If it was still there they would take care of me. After three weeks and several emails, it's still there. They want me to drive the 2 1\2 hours, eating up 10% of the warranty they gave me along with the gas money and a day off of work, so that they can fix their mistake. All I want is to take it to a dealer here and get it fixed but they refuse to take care of their customers. If you're thinking of traveling to this dealership to get a used car, don't. They won't take care of you.

Was looking for a new family vehicle and found one we were interested in. Contacted the company and set up an appointment to come test drive/buy the vehicle. Living close to 200 miles away I wanted to make sure we had everything in order before we made the trip, so I let the company know ahead of time that we would NOT be financing through them. The lady I talked to still wanted me to bring pay stubs & residency papers "just to be safe". So taking the day off work, arranging child care, financing, insurance, and anything else that needed to be done, I get a call 2 hours before we needed to leave for our appointment lettign us know the vehicle was no longer available. Although I appreciated the call, they let us know they had over 700 other cars in stock and would be glad to find something else for us, we were not interested in anything else. So after sometime I got online to see that it was still showing the car available so I contacted a representative of the company to see if it was in fact available. She let me know that it was still available and asked if I wanted to arrange a test drive. I asked how long does it take for their website to update once a car is sold, and she said the update hourly. So if this car was not available as I had been told, it should have not still been available on the website. In conclusion, I think that this car & price is used to lure people in, and then wehn they get them there they try to sell them something else as well as trying to get them to finance only through their company as they will get more commission that way.

Our experience trying to purchase a car with Auffenberg was awful! During our visit with the Ford dealer, we attempted to purchase a car that was advertised in the paper with a rebate and the option for 0 percent financing. We were informed that we could not have both the rebate and financing. When the ad readvertised it listed the car with the rebate.We secured a loan and went to purchase the car. Then we are told we can't get the rebate if we don't secure their high interest loan. I would NEVER recommend Auffenberg Ford to anyone and will take my business elsewhere. In total, we have visited the Auffenberg dealerships 4 times. All four times we've gotten nothing but a run around.

I made a deal with the salesperson on a $50k pickup truck. We agreed to a price and I told him I would be in right after a lunch appointment I had that day. I took off work early and drove 20 miles in opposite direction of dealership to get my trade-in at my house. I called the sales guy as I was leaving my house and he replies...."uhhhh...I was getting ready to call you...something kinda came up. We sold the truck to someone else". I asked him if he planned on calling me before I drove the 60 miles to get there. The whole experience wiht this dealership was dicey at best. I should have been clued in with their extremely slow response times. I told him that both his and his dealership's word was worthless. He agreed to sell me a car, I agreed to buy it and was on my way to do so. No respect for my time and effort whatsoever. As it turns out I bought the same truck from Joe Machens Ford out of Columbia, MO and they delivered it to my driveway a day later. They were much better to deal with and will certainly be getting my future business. It is situations like this that gives the car buying experience a bad rap. There was no BS with Machens Ford.

Let me start by saying that I love my new car. My first experience with this dealership was fine, I went to test drive a car and that was it, but then they harrassed my phone a couple times a day for about 2 weeks. Some days I would be sleeping in preparation for night shift and not only did they call once but a couple times and a couple different people. They just seemed way too pushy and I didnt like the harrassment. When I went back to actually purchase the car, I had an appointment in which they were not prepared for. The car was at a totally different location and I was pushed between two sales people like my business wasnt important since they were really busy that day. I was on a time crunch and I got there with having 2.5 hours to spend there and I made everyone aware of that, but since the car wasnt even on location, I was pushed between two sales people, and they went back and fourth about 5 or 6 times talking to their "boss", I just felt as though they were being unneccessarily slow. I ended up getting the deal that I wanted and needed to be able to afford this car but if they could have obviously done it in the first place I dont see the need for all the back and fourth. We did buy maintanance from them, so I hope that is okay. I feel that for the kind of money that you spend on a car, I wasnt being treated like an important customer, just "another customer". I have bought from smaller dealers in the past and worked the deal directly with the boss who made you feel like an appreciated customer. Lastly, since I was on a time crunch they didnt even have time to finish the vehicle inspection or detail it properly, so I have an appointment for that and hopefully all that checks out or ill be upset.

A friend brought me to Auffenberg I had Avery as my salesperson and he seemed to be helpful if low key, not pushy at all. Since I was on a limited budget Avery and the manager worked to make sure I got the payments I could afford. My problem is that I don't think the car was in the good working order they said it was because the day after I got home the check engine light was on. I did not get any extended warranty because it was too expensive so I called Avery and he said the service department would look at it for no charge. It turned out to be something simple and was fixed however the next day I noticed the air conditioner would blow warm air when it got really warm out. So again I called Avery. This time it took some begging on my part but I got it in to the service dept. again only the guy there said he could find nothing wrong with it BUT he could check it better if I wanted to pay around $140. I am really disappointed because I just assumed the car would have things like air conditioning checked. The other thing that everyone thinking of buying a used car here might like to know is that you will receive a coupon for $300 for a referral if you send someone here and they buy a car. You will never see this money!! The only way is if the person buys a car from the same salesperson you used. However this is nowhere on the coupon. I found this out after giving it to someone who insisted on buying a car from Auffenberg. I called Avery to confirm this (he has got to be tired of me calling) and found out the $300 comes out of his pocket which is why they have to use the same salesperson. I'm sure a lot of people already knew this but I didn't so I'll assume other people don't. I'm upset because the $300 would have paid to get my air conditioner fixed! So, in conclusion, I probably won't buy another car here

I haven't purchased a vehicle in a long time. I worked with Nate Koch, who even though at times I was indecisive, Nate kept his patience and great attitude in focusing on what I wanted. I did shop around at the other dealerships just to cover all bases in a 3 day timeframe and then I came right back to Ford. Once I decided Nate assisted in explaining everything and it was a very easy and informative process. I also worked with Anthony in finance whose expertise is second to none! Overall great, easy, experience for making such a big purchase. I would definitely recommend stopping by and although I'm sure the whole staff is great, you can ask for Nate.

I thougt I had found the perfect car a 2006 corvette planned on trading my 2013 camaro with 9800 miles.Told the salesman I didn't want a bunch of inquires on my credit asked them to go through the same credit union that was financing the camaro. Instead they ran my credit through 12 companies except the one I asked them to run it through, worse then that they lied and told me they turned it down when in fact they never ran it by them. My next course of action will be legal I have 12 inquires and no corvette I trusted you guys and you betrayed that trust and wasted my time.

For the first time in my life I have decided to look at the number one hybrid on the market. It just so happens to be a ford and I have never owned one. I took my first step on the Ford Auffenberg parking and was immediately greeted by a member of the sales staff named Paul Frayer. Up front he seems like a nice salesman with a few awards on the wall for top sales of the month. I was seriously interested in the vehicle I test drove (an almost 30K car) and after a request on the best price they could do I headed home. That night I found the car cheaper online on their website and when I asked him how come he gave me a price higher after discounts, he said that he doesnt have time to check the online prices when they have over 300 cars in stock. That right there showed me that this guy would not only waste my time, but my money. Sadly, I gave this guy another chance at my business and I returned to have my car appraised for a possible trade in. He returned with a trade in price that was not only disrespectful, but he then told me that he could get my extremely low mileage diesel at an auction for much less and that it wasnt worth anything. Although my intentions are not to leave a negative feedback, I want others to know that this place will take your money and run without looking out for your best interests. Do your research and anytime this guy gives you a number for a vehicle, check online at their Auffenberg website and see if it is lower because he isnt going to. You will most likely save yourself some money. I unfortunately will not be returning to this business ever again, even though I would probably bought this vehicle if they gave me a respectable trade in value on my vehicle. Too bad that was my first ford experience

My salesman was/is Dustin Baron and he was a great salesman who Id recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle. I started looking for a vehicle through my banks car buying service which is what led me to Auffenberg Ford North. Before I even set foot on the dealers lot I had spoken to Dustin over the phone to let him know I wasnt dead set on the vehicle I chose through my banks service but I did let him know what options I did want on the truck. When I showed up at the dealership to start looking Dustin only showed me trucks with the options I wanted and didnt try to push anything on me. The entire experience was quick and painlessjust the way I like it. I have been back to get a spray-on bed liner (Line-X) and their customer service process was/is great too plus I got the bedliner for $100 less than going direct through Line-X (I called personally and checked). Ive also got an appointment to get a remote start system installed and so far, both experiences with their customer service have been nothing but good. All-in-all a great car buying experience, keep it up Dustin!

We originally came to Auffenberg Ford North and met with Duston who was recommended to us and because they had a WHITE ford fusion and that's what my wife wanted. We test drove a SILVER one and a WHITE one and she wanted the WHITE one. We didn't have time that night to make the deal because of other things that we needed to do that night. We came back that weekend and met with Robert, test drove the WHITE ONE ONLY and purchased a vehicle... Unfortunately and frustratingly to us it was a SILVER one some how. We drove away in a WHITE car. Whenever one of my daughters noticed that the seat belt was messed up a little I made an appointment with the service department and brought the car up and that's when the service guy noticed something was wrong... The VIN didn't match my records. SO, he tells me no big deal, easy fix! Well, then Anthony steps into the picture and we get "Why don't you just take the silver one? It would be easier if you just take the silver one" My wife doesn't WANT the silver one, she WANTS the white one. And THE RUN AROUND STARTS!! They offered to tint the windows OR add automatic start to the SILVER one if we would take it!!! I asked them why not offer that on the WHITE one because of all the hassle we're going thru... I was told they'd detail it for me (Never happened) And then after everything was said and done Anthony blamed ME for not checking the VIN number and that I should have been a better customer! I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AUFFENBERG, OR AUFFENBERG FORD NORTH AGAIN!

Car buying can be stressful, not this experience we had though... Absolutely phenomenal!!!My fiancee and I had been discussing new cars for quite some time and with all the bad weather we have had, we had been seriously considering a new economical vehicle so that we could both get to and from work on our very different schedules. Our original thought was to look at getting a KIa because we were impressed by the new look and engine it offered. We went test drove one and fell in love with everything except for the price tag... That being said, we decided to look at Ford because I have had wonderful luck with my Mustang plus Ford North had a great deal on 2013 close out Fusions and 2014 Taurus. I really was interested in the Taurus... Eager to drive and see what it was about. Went in to Ford North and the staff was busy looking at inventory/staff meeting because we had time to look at a couple of cars and see what inventory they had to work with. It took time for the staff to get to us and when they finally did, my future misses was not happy about what she thought was the longest wait ever. Jeff immediately told us that he was extremely sorry for any delay we experienced and would do his best to win her over.. We showed him what we were looking at as we did research before we got there to look at the 2014 Taurus. He said that's a nice car but he was sure that he could do better as he knew that there was a 2013 Limited Ford Taurus (with all the bells and whistles) that had just come to their location hours ago. He took us out to see it and I fell in love at first sight with it. He offered to allow us to test drive and we took it out to see how it ran.... WOW!!! It rode like a dream... and it had everything I could ask for in a car - - leather, back-up camera, SONY sound system and the list goes on. We got back and Jeff asked us.. Is this the car? My fiancee and I were in love and felt like we couldn't pass it up. Came back into the office and Jeff was so patient with us. He told us that he would do his best to work with getting us this dream car. This was the moment that he won my misses over!!! We negotiated with him in order to make sure this is something that we could afford and he was very willing to help us meet our financial needs at the same time of making sure we could leave with our dream car. His manager was also extremely patient as we were concerned with our impending nuptials. We negotiated an overly fair trade for our Mustang and from there we just waited to sit and sign those papers. While we waited on all paperwork to get done, Jeff sat with us and got to know us. He saw the deal through from beginning to end without pawning us off on someone else. That was so impressive to both my fiancee and I!We would recommend Jeff Gustafson to ANYONE in the market for a car. He is patient, kind and according to my fiancee very charismatic :)A true salesman at its finest!! Thanks Jeff for the wonderful service!!!

I am a loyal Ford customer, but I am not loyal to any dealership. That, however, may change since I have worked with Vicki Robison at Auffenberg Ford in O'Fallon. I did all of my homework before going there. I had a car picked out and was given a reasonable trade-in allowance for my three year old Taurus. There were two things I really appreciated about my experience at Auffenberg. I only worked with Vicki during the negotiation process. Most dealerships if the salesperson can't close the deal on the first offer, the boss comes out with the salesperson, and they will often gang up on a customer..This didnt happen here. The other thing I liked was that I had spoken over the phone with Vicki about wanting all weather OEM black floormats for my Fusion..I had not closed the deal, and yet she went ahead and ordered the mats so they would be there if I decided to buy and they even arrived ahead of me at the dealership! The next day we had a major snowstorm so the mats were pressed into service. I would recommend this dealership to anyone..I used to sell cars myself in my younger years..I advise people to do their homework before they go shopping, but having a nice group of people to work with makes the experience a lot less painful..Kevin

Vicki was personally great to work with. We worked out the pricing details for the car with (2) different packages over the phone, so it was easy to make a decision. I appreciated the fact that I wasn't charged for Auffenberg picking up the car from the dealership in Kansas that actually had the car that I decided on. It would have been helpful if the office personnel would have forwarded the UPS tracking info for the title work, so I could know to look out for it. It was also a bit of an inconvenience that there was no license plate bracket on the front of the car.

I have purchased 3 Ford Focus automobiles from Auffenberg since 2000. I owned a 2012 Ford Focus as my last purchase. I have just traded the 2012 for my 4th Ford Focus. Issues with the 2012 new transmission, clutch issues to be exact, caused me great concern. I took the vehicle in for service to see if there was something that could have been about the issue. The service department department explained that the vehicle transmission combined standard with automatic to increase gas mileage. This is did! 40 mpg on a trip to Virginia. However, while in the mountains, the car was really a concern for me with the grinding and difficulty on the steep hills. I returned to the dealership for the regular service and decided to see what could be done to get me the same car but with an updated clutch/transmission. Ms. Vicki was extremely helpful in doing so. I have my beloved Ford Focus with the newer clutch, etc. It is the same as my originial 2012 but with a few extras. She had asked what I would have wanted on my car I did not get with the 2012. I said the more reliable clutch and a moonroof. I got both and hope this clutch is going to carry me through until I purchase my next Ford Focus in a few years. Dustin, who helped me with the original 2012 purchase, and Anthony, financial person, were both extremely helpful as well getting me into a loan comparable to the original with less interest and with a local financial agency. I am extremely pleased with Auffenberg North and will continue to purchase my Fords from them. Thinking of a hybrid truck next time around! Lori A. McAllister

She got us in touch with the finance person who gave us a terrific deal: no interest for 60 months. She also helped us get a dent fixed on the car. It had happened prior to our acceptance of the car. Vicki willingly answered all my wife's questions regarding the Sync MyFord screen, set up our cell phone to the car's computer system, made us aware of classes to further understand the Sync MyFord system that Auffenberg offers twice a month (which we will be taking advantage of this class), and showed us the various improvements to the 2014 Escape versus the 2010 one that we already owned. She even offered for us drive it home to see if the rear lift to the SUV would clear our raised garage door opening, as well as whether it would fit alongside our Ford Ranger 4x4...we did do this that day....this helped to seal the deal for us! Customer Service at its BEST! Vick's friendliness, professional attitude, and knowledge of Ford products are why we are repeat customers with Auffenberg Ford North. Horrible experienceSold car from under us due to mistakes on their part. We were greeted at the door by Paul who was very rude. He then pushed us to Robert who we made a deal with for a Dodge Dakota, he had us sit with him for 3 hours only to let us know the financing could not be taken care of that night. Came to dealership preapproved with a bank they use and told us not to go to our bank before we came because they would get it taken care of. After 3 hours of waiting, they had us go to bank the next morning and wanted an email or fax of the preapproval letter and then would hold vehicle. After dealing with the bank, I tried contacting Robert before we drove up there and left multiple messages on his voicemail and then proceeded to call the operator to get in contact with him. The operator could not reach him and told us all of the salesman we're "too busy out on the lot" and she would have someone call asap to let us know the truck was still on the lot before we made an hour drive. No call, we get there and at least 8 salesman were sitting on the bench smoking a cigarette. I look over and see Robert walking up, as soon as he realized it was us getting out of the car, he turned around and walked away. We walked in the door and had Paul in our face showing us a new truck, pushing us to look at it. Tried calling after we walked out to speak to Robert when he very immaturely would pick up the phone and hang up immediately. Asked to speak to a manager 3 hours ago and they said he would call back in just a minute..still waiting for that call. Most unprofessional dealership I have ever had the displeasure of working with.

Jeff, really understood me and my wife's needs. We came in to look at a used f150 and found it was too much for us financially. He brought a list of used vehicles in our price range and we scheduled to come back and test drive a ford escape. Before coming to the appointment, he called me and said that there was a Dodge Durango that was just traded in that he thought would fit our needs and then some, in our price range. I came in and we test drove it to my wife's work for her to see, since another buyer was scheduled to come in and see it later that day. My wife loved it, he bought us lunch to discuss the vehicle. We dropped her off with her blessing and drove back to the dealership to start the paperwork. 2 hours later, i drove off the lot with a vehicle i really liked. He was very down to earth and did not B.S. me or my wife at all. He was very friendly and forward. He worked his butt off to get me a decent trade in value on my 2001 Toyota Rav4, and really made my first car purchase through a dealer easy and understandable. I thoroughly recommend coming to Auffenberg Ford North and asking for Jeff. He will take care of you, as he did my wife and I. Thanks for all your hard work Jeff.

Worst experience ever! Mr. Stevenson showed me some vehicles and gave me an offer sheet. When we could not agree he said he would look over some options and call me the next day (which he did not). I called him and he told me he was working on it and would call me back (which he didn't). Finally, I went to Jack Schmitt Ford and bought the same vehicle for less money in less than a day. Avoid Auffenberg Ford North at all costs!

Worst car shopping experience ever. The only reason I got it one star is because there is not anything lower. Called earlier in the day to schedule an appointment to test drive a car. Show up to test drive and car is not able to be found. Takes them a half an hour to figure out the car sold before we got there. No one called or emailed to let us know which I can understand because it just sold 30 mins prior to us arriving. Have no idea why it took 30 mins to figure that out. We talk to the manager after that and hes completely rude and argumentative. He tells us he will make us a deal and has the sales guy takes us down the road to SEE if there maybe another car at their other location. He isn't competent enough to be able to be able to check on the website so I have to do that myself. Then he drives us to the wrong place....Once we finally get to the correct location he shows us the incorrect year of car we were looking for. Had to tell him a 4th time what we wanted. The man is so clueless that he tells us he can get the price on a brand new one down $6000 to meet our budget. Of course he asks and finds out he can't do that either. The whole time this guy is talking to us and keeps telling us hes new its not his fault. I dont understand why they would have an improperly trained person working on the floor. Worst experience ever will never go back.

Horrible, Aweful, RUDE! I wish I could give negative stars! These reviews are limited to 4,000 characters so I won't be able to review the whole experience. First off, I inquired about a vehicle through their internet department. I was contacted by a guy who calls himself "The Sturmanator" who was on vacation. Even though he was 12 hours away from the dealership, they decided this guy would be my saleperson. They lowered the price on the website for the 2013 Edge that I was viewing. I agreed to pay thier asking price plus doc fees. I offered a deposit to hold the vehicle, but they wouldn't take it. I told them I had my own financing arranged and requested a buyers order to send to my bank to get the deal done. "The Sturmantor" told me that they could beat my 2.49% used car rate. I told him I would be open to looking at their financing options, but would not be purchasing any additional products or services. After filling out the credit application on-line at 9 am, I was called by another salesperson at the dealer telling me I had been approved and wanted me to come in to finalize the deal. I told him that would be fine, but I needed to know the terms of the financing (rate, term, etc) He told me due to privacy issues, he couldn't discuss with me. I work in a simlar industry and told him that was not true. He said he would speak with his finance dept and get back with me. Af 8pm, almost 12 hours later, I still had not gotten a response on what their awesome rate would be, so I called my sales rep "The Sturmanator" and told him to send me a buyers order and forget the financing through Auffenberg. He told me he didn't understand why I would want to pay a higher rate through my bank. I told him that Auffenberg would not tell me what my rate was and I wanted to continue the deal through my bank. "The Stumanator" then became very rude and told me that the commission on this car was only $100 and he would have to split it with another rep, so after taxes he would only make $30 on the car sale! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? WHAT A HORRIBLE SALES PERSON! He told me "if you just would have gone in and taken care of it, you would be driving around in the car right now" After that I told him to send me a buyers order, or the deal is off. He then replied "I'm driving on the way back from New Orleans, how am I supposed to do that?" The next morning I recieved an email from ANOTHER person at Auffenberg telling me the car had been sold and wanted me to look at a different unit. It's clear that Auffenberg would not sell me the vehicle unless I financed through them. (They wouldn't even tell me what rate they could finance me due to "privacy issues") Stay far away from these crooks... This is the second time in the last 5 years I've dealt with the unethical people at Auffenberg...never again My advice, to anyone wanting to purchase a car from Auffenberg is DON'T. If you do decide to deal with these guys, have your own financing set up before you go in...they obvisouly want to rip you off in the finance office. If they refuse to let you finance through your bank, walk away.

It had not been detailed yet, but was still in great condition. While we worked out the deal and paid they detailed it and filled the tank with gas without us asking. We gave customer service a great rating because we were worried about the closing time but Vicki assured us that this was not a problem and felt no hurry to leave. She arranged for the installation of the fifth wheel so it would work with our schedule. Also since it was raining she brought the truck inside so we could look at it. The quaility of work was great because we felt that she was very well organized. The dealership's quaility of work was great because of the looks of the truck when we picked it up.Friendliness was great by Vicki and the dealership to us because they took great care of us when we stayed so late.Price was great because the options we wanted was in this truck.The overall experience we felt was wonderful. The time and effort that Vicki put in to explaining all the Navigation, phone system, the working of all the options on the truck was exceptional.

How happy am I? I am on my second car purchased from Ben. He listened to my wants and needs and found the car just right for me. He took the time to explain all the services and options available and worked with finance to ensure that I stayed within my budget. Truly went above and beyond for us. We purchased a new Explorer and couldn't be happier! The finance team was able to beat our credit union's rate! The price we paid was more than $500 less than what we were looking at. Their hours are much better than other dealerships in the area. Sales team makes sure you are happy. Their follow up was great. Two weeks ago, I literally walked out of your dealership in Illinois in mid negotiation because I thought the salesperson was completely cocky, pushy, and arrogant (Paul Sturma from Auffenberg Ford North in O'Fallon, IL). Yesterday, I picked up our new Escape from Paul Cerame in Missouri working with Mike Supp. Mike treated us right and was a good saleman. I'll be back to Paul Cerame in the future not Auffenberg. I have only owned Ford vehicles all my life buying one used car, 4 new ford trucks, and now a new ford escape so you have to be a big a$$ to literally cause me to leave a Ford dealership knowing I was going to buy a Ford product.

Ben toon was our salesmen. The dealer didn't have the ford edge with the options but Ben found one at another dealer. (good)He had my wife and I come over and commit to buy before the vehicle was brought to the dealership. (bad)He showed us a ford edge that had the my touch system in it even though that was not one of the items we had asked for. He informed us that Our car had the my touch in it and proceeded to spend 30 minutes explaining how it works. My wife really had her heart set on it after that.We then were taken to finance and the finance manager sold us on the extended warranty to be able to protect against expensive repairs with the my touch system. When our ford edge arrived to much our surprise NO MY TOUCH! (bad). When we asked Ben why he had told us ourFord edge had the my touch in the vehicle he quickly explained to us we misunderstood him and that he never said that. (bad) I then asked the finance manager why he pushed the extended warranty because of the my touch and he didn't have much to say also. I then asked for the GM to help understand the situation and he explained to us we must have misunderstood and it wasn't on the sticker(bad)Not one of the employees that worked their offered their apology for their mistake. (bad)After everything was said and done I looked on the counter for the customer review sheet that Ben had out earlier for us to fill out and it mysteriously disapeared. (bad)I then looked at our plates which had 2 months on them b4 they expired, the dealer transferred plates instead of ordering new ones! Why!They only had 2 months left on them. I asked Ben why he did that and he explained to me that this whole transaction with me was just a price thing and walked off. (very bad)I do not recommend buying anything from this dealer until you have actually seen, touch, and feel confident they are not able to lead you astrayBefore your purchase.

I would never dream of buying a car from this dealership based on the experience I had when I broke down while traveling through their area. Not only did they hit me with an exorbitant bill, less than 500 miles later I found myself at another Ford dealership needing the same repair. The other dealership made the repairs at less than half the price, and in half the time. I asked Auffenberg Ford North to adjust what they had charged me, but they chose not to help. I believe they are rip off artists!

After some negotiations, Mr Mitchell and shook hands on a deal. He even wrote down on the hand written contract "One Key" which he stated was for the third set of keys, which we had shaken hands on.Now, after the check is written, he is claiming that this is againsy the dealers policy, so what he shook hands on is void.Other extras that we agreed upon are not forthcoming, either.Very bad experience, feel very much that I was lied to.Will not deal with this dealership for car purchase again, and will tell family, freinds, and complete strangers.

Shaun did a great job for us in purchasing a new car. We set up an appointment to meet with him and told him what we would like as in the package of the vehicle, engine size, color, and the price we would like to pay. Shaun went out of his way to look up the vehicle and pass the price of the vehicle to his manager. Within 10 minutes he was back with the vehicle and the agreed upon price of the car. When the car was delivered, Shaun came in on his day off and delivered it to us. It was late at night and he stayed to show us all the features of the car. I ended up with the car at the agreed upon price after talking to three people and waiting over an hour. Overall a terrible display of business integrity.

I recently purchased a 2011 F-150 from Auffenberg Ford (O'Fallon). My sales person was Shaun Stinnett who I've had the pleasure of working with before earlier in the year during the purchase of our 2011 Ford Taurus. During the sales transaction of the F-150, Shaun immediately made me feel welcome and recalled many of the details of previous conversations we had earlier in the year which told me right away, I have a sales person who truly listens to his customers. Shaun made it a point to start taking notes when I began describing my desires for a new truck. At no time did he attempt to push something on me that was out of the scope of my request. He was very accommodating in showing me what was still available in the 2011 models and was up front when explaining that because it was the end of year closeout time, I may not find everything I was looking for. His honesty was very refreshing and his search was relentless until he found the vehicle that most closely resembled what I was looking for. Shaun expended a lot of energy making sure I was happy with my purchase, even to the point of extracting every rebate and discount available to me, making the price even more appealing than what was originally discussed. Shaun works! Shaun was exceptionally professional and at the same time made me feel as though I was his lifelong friend. He made time for me even during his off hours to answer questions and set up appointments. In my opinion, Shaun is the model sales person. This was the fourth new Ford truck I've owned and by far this has been the BEST sales experience I have ever had. The product by far is the best Ford truck I've ever driven. Vicki was a great salesperson who understood my needs and between her and Aaron, they were both willing to work with me and my USAA preferred price. Price was not the biggest factor in choosing this dealership though; it was the friendly atmosphere. I was able to order a car in the color I wanted and both Vicki and Aaron kept me informed of the status as it was being built and delivered. I really appreciate the fact that on the day of delivery to me, the car was already prepped and ready to go. I was in and out of the dealership within 1 hour which was a benefit for both parties as I had things to do and it freed up the Auffenberg staff to tend to other customers. Considering I wanted a spare tire for the car in lieu of the temporary mobility device, Vicki made sure it was ready on the day of delivery also. I would definitely recommend Auffenberg Ford as the place to buy a car.

While making a decision Bobby offered available options, but he accepted our decision without questions or pressure. While the Mustang was being built, Bobby was in contact with us both via telephone and email keeping us updated on the progress of the car. When the car arrived, Bobby called the same day. I have to admit that Bobby sounded as excited as I was that the Mustang was ready for pick up. When we picked up the Mustang, Bobby made sure that everything was ready when we arrived. On Fri. 08-12-11, I was in your dealership to buy an auto. In the beginning Mr. Stinnett wanted me to sign some papers, which I refused.I had been told by person on net that you had Green Fiesta. When I went to see auto it had moon roof, which I did not want. Mr. Stinnett or someone had brought Fiesta close to showroom. I gave my car keys to Mr. Stinnett and he gave me price on Fiesta. When I told him I did not want Fiesta and could I look at a Focus or some other car, he walked away, came back handed me my car keys and walked away again. I am 79 years old and have purchased dozens or more cars and have never been treated by any sales person any where the way I was treated by Mr. Stinnett.Just as proof that I was going to buy a car, on Sat.08-13-11, I purchased a 2012 Hyundai Sonata from Carl Roesel at Auffenberg Hyundai, a sale that would probably have been a Ford were it not for your salesmans attitude.

Auffenberg will rip you off on service. Their service department told me I needed new ball joints and wanted to charge me $900. I took it to a dealer I trusted in St. Charles, MO and the technician expanined that there was nothing wrong with the ball joints, in fact they were quite tight. The only thing I needed was a little grease on the joints and bushings to get rid of a creaky noise. That did the job. The dealer only charged me for a fron end alighment, which I thought was a good idea. The correct dignosis saved me $800. I will never take my car back to Auffenberg. Their customer service is sub-standard, they rarely have any parts in stock, and they close earlier than most Ford service departments.

I originally ordered a new '12 Mustang from the dealer on the 18th of March. My first month experince with this dealer was actually rather poor, however after that first month (while I was waiting for my car to be built) my salesman there was fired for good cause. That's when Paul Sturma took over my order. Paul was a welcomed relief from the negitive experience of the process. This was my first new car purchase so I was somewhat nervous about it, but Paul took the time to assit me in the process. He was very friendly and understood (and simpithized) the expereience I had with the previous 'tool box' salesman. My overall experience with Ford North was great, and I would totally go there again. Zachary continued to work with us until we could agree on the terms of the deal even though it took a couple of days, he was patient and friendly. When we returned to finalize the deal Zachary was busy so instead of us having to wait Jason helped us explaining everything thoroughly and then turn us over to Anthony to explain the details of the financing andto sign the papers. Jason met us before we even entered the building and introduced himself. He was very friendly and seemed sincere in his desire to help me buy the right car for me. I was interested in the Ford Fiesta, and Jason showed me the ins and outs of the vehicle, not lacking any detail. He recognized the fact that I was comparing several vehicles, and took me to see (and drive) all of them. Jason spent a lot of time making sure I got the car that I wanted as well as the best deal on the car. I appreciate all of his time and effort, and will be referring him to everyone I know!

We have been researching to buy a Ford Raptor for about a year, and are ready to buy. We were contacted by George Slaughter internet sales for Auffenberg.He told us he had the truck we were looking for at his dealership. He spoke to us on the phone and also e-mailed us a quote (we still have it) of $46,111 if we would come in and purchase the vehicle. This was a good price so we decided to drive the hour and 10 minutes from O'Fallon Missouri to purchase the vehicle. Long story short, when we arrived to purchase the truck, the manager sent a salesman out with a quote on a yellow post-it note with the "sticker price" on it of $50,8xx, (I forget the last few numbers). He told the salesman to tell us that he would not honor the quote from George Slaughter, and that he has been turning down offers from other dealerships for this truck. We wasted time and money to be treated so poorly. We can pay sticker price 5 minutes from our home. This is a very unethical business practice and in my opinion, should be against the law.

Had a great experience with Larry Breece. He kept in contact with me from the time I hit send on the computer when I picked the vehicle I was interested in. Everyone that I worked with was really friendly and the guy that did the finance part was really helpful in finding us the best deal when it came to payments. My husband and I decided, at the last minute, to buy a new car. When I called Shaun, he spent a great deal of time over the phone explaining our options, both with financing, and packaging. No matter how silly my question was, he answered it clearly without making me feel like it was a silly question. When there was some part of my new car package that I wasn't sure about he would offer and explain different options and help me make my decision. After I knew everything I wanted in a car, including the color, my husband went to Auffenberg North to actually buy my new car. Shaun was so great with Craig...even going so far as to talk my husband into the black car I wanted instead of the blue one he wanted. He was even able to recommend a few people to do some specializing to my car so that it would fit my personality. I LOVE MY NEW CAR!!!!!!! Auffenberg gave my husband an AWESOME deal on my car too...even helped us pay off our Durango so that we could afford the new car payment. If we ever get around to buying yet another new vehicle (maybe a new work truck for my husband) we will be going to Auffenberg to get it. And when people ask where my new, sexy car came from I tell them to call Auffenberg North and ask for Shaun Stinnett cause he will get them out of there in a great, gorgeous car for a great, gorgeous deal!!!!

My salesmen Bobby Mitchell is on top of his game, and is highly energetic about his craft of selling vechiles. Not overly pushy like some salesmen when it comes to buying a truck, which was a huge plus for me. When making a purchase of a vechicle the last thing you want is some guy pushing you into a truck that you dont want, considering that you will be making the monthly payments over the next couple of years, not him.

Initially I contacted you by the internet. After reviewing my information, leaving voice mails, and not returning my calls, was told by the internet manager they really couldn't help me. Drove by lot to look at inventory, met Ray, said he could help me. Very nice. Looked at trade said we could make a deal and I test drove several SUV's, then picked out a Mercury Mountaineer. Good price, solid buy. Signed a paper that said "Yes, I would by the truck if my payment wasn't over $339." Heck, yeah, I thought and felt good about it. I can afford that after getting back on my feet. My trade was paid for. After several days of getting documents together for the finance company, I was told to come in and sign. Ray gave me no indication anything had changed and said the terms were the same. Imagine my surprise when I went to sign the docs and my payment was for 4 years at at$459. Nice. Really? I asked where my trade was before we went over, because I had some other items in it; Ray didn't know. Finance manager says it's the best deal he can give me. Shocker. Oh, and I will get $50 to refer any of my friends or clients to you if they buy a vehicle. Are you serious?! I feel like an ass and a sucker for even signing, but I needed the truck. Happy to tell anyone the $12,995 price for SUV's, but don't you DARE go without prior financing or pay cash. Better yet, try a different dealer; don't get suckered like me. You could have told me before coming into to sign. Honesty is the best policy. You got my deal, but I'll make sure no one I know goes for a buy. You'd be surprised how many I know and what I do.

We looked at inventories online beforehand. This local dealership had a larger selection of the models we were considering. We walked into the showroom after looking at the cars on the lot and was greeted by Bobby. This was a frigid cold Saturday. We told him which car we were interested in and he brought it into the shop where it was warmer. He explained the features, we did a test drive and then we sat down to discuss a sale. Bobby was very friendly and we never felt pressured by him. After almost 4.5 hours we were a little tired when we finally sat down with the finance manager, Anthony. I would not say that it was an unpleasant experience but in retrospect I think it would have made a better impression if he had talked slower and had we felt like we were not pressed for time. We were presented with options and the monthly payment associated with it except there was no presentation of what the monthly payment would be if none of the options were included. The dollar amounts of these options were not disclosed until the documents were drawn up based on our indication of what we wanted. Shame on us for not asking what it would cost for these options beforehand but we were to the point that we wanted to get it done. Overall we would go back to this dealer but maybe make sure we had clearer heads when we signed the financing documents.

I had been looking for an F-150 to replace a 2002 SUV that I'd put over 140K miles on. I'd visited a few dealerships previously and was watching the internet as well. I saw the F-150 listed on the Auffenberg web site and the price and features looked good so I stopped by. I looked around a few minutes before Vicki came over and introduced herself. I told her I was still looking around and she said to let her know if I needed help. I found the truck that was listed on the internet and after looking it over, I decided I was still interested and asked Vicki if she could get the keys. After looking over the inside of the truck, I took a test drive and decided the truck was what I was looking for. Vicki took me inside and I filled out the financing paperwork. I got a good interest rate and a reasonable trade in amount for my 2002 SUV. I'm now the owner of a 2008 F-150 King Ranch. I'm very pleased with the truck. I had an unexpected trip come up so I ended up driving the truck from IL to Atlanta and back. Very nice ride.Overall great experience at the dealership. Paul was very helpful in the selection of the vehicle. He worked hard all day to find the particular color and style. He was truthful and did not try to pressure the sale. While buying a new car is somewhat different than a used car, nevertheless, he came as close to perfect as it is going to get. We have had numerous compliments on the car at random locations, from gas stations, shopping parking lots and even one person that walked across a busy highway just to see the car and ask questions. This car is a powerhouse, I just love everything about it. If I were asked to change one thing, I really don't know what it would be. I am 64 years old and have traded cars and trucks all my life. I work on my own vehicle when I can and travel a lot. This is the best car I've owned yet and that is to say it is better than the Lincoln Continental that was a great car, this Taurus is just a step better.

I would have to give Jason Hall big KUDOS for all the help and patience he had with me. I gave him a set amount that I could afford and for the most part they were able to get me there, which I appreciate. I explained from the beginning that I was looking everywhere and where ever I could get the best deal for what I was wanting I was not going to hesitate to go somewhere else. Jason worked very well with me and did not give me any false hope. He new I was adiment on my price so for that I have to thank him. He was very helpful and knowledgable about the vehicle I was looking at and went the extra mile or 10 to show me everything in the car and to get things set up for me which he did not have to do. Next I met the new car manager and I apologize for not remembering his name, he too was nice and helpful. Again I'm sorry for not writing alot more about him but I didn't deal to much with him face to face.Then we get to the finance guy again I don't remember his name either...well let me tell you, I was not impressed one bit. Just because your a fast talker doesn't mean people are going to trust you any better. Instead you make it harder for people to understand you, but I'm sure this is what you're shooting for. Why must you insist on pushing items when a person tells you what they can "afford" do you try to sell them anything else. I will have to say that he did give me a little break on the autobutler but when it came down to the gap insurance he could hardly take no for an answer, and couldn't believe that I was turning it down. Of course he had to keep trying to sell it, like talking even faster would make the deal sound that much better. Just an FYI to him...a person can only afford what they can afford why do you think this country is in the shape it is when it comes to purchasing items that you need to take a loan on.Overall I guess in a nutshell I would refer people there but only to deal with Jason Hall and maybe even the new car manager but as far as financing??? I would hope there is another person that does that same job there.

I had been to Auffenberg Ford North before trying to purchase a vehicle. The first time I swore I would never go back, and this time I mean it. Their salespeople are always willing to open their arms to you when you show up at the dealership, but many times they offer false hope, at best - especially in negative equity situations.The past time I went to Auffenberg Ford, we wanted to purchase a Ford Edge. The salesman directed us to one in particular, a black 2010 model, which I actually loved. We spent most of the evening at the dealership trying to work out all the paperwork to get the car. BIGGEST MISTAKE ON OUR PART: filling out their application even though we had our own financing. However, we had put trust in our salesman and the dealership as a whole to get the deal done. We had already explained the conditions of our preapproval to them and they were confident they could make the deal happen - so confident they even let us take the vehicle home for an overnight test drive with a promise to return around noon the following day.When we returned, we waited for at least 1.5 hours (we had a bad feeling since the paperwork had not already been completed before we got there) before we were told that the deal could not be done without putting down a substantial amount of money - based on the preapproval we were given. Keep in mind, they already knew exactly what our preapproval was - it was more or less an issue of making the numbers work to fit with us putting down the amount we had agreed upon (based on our negative equity - which we fully explained the day before). The finance manager proceeded to lecture us on how we should make better financial decisions, etc., which I though was pretty rude. Needless to say, we left without the car that day.The next day, I received an email from our credit monitoring service saying that my application had been pushed to 10 different banks - despite me telling them specifically that we had already secured financing (and the sales rep told me that only a soft inquiry would be pulled on our credit). To top it all off, I called the finance manager immediately and left him a voicemail message. This was 4 days ago and he has yet to call me back. Don't believe ANYTHING the reps at this Auffenberg store tell you. You can't trust them as far as you can throw them.
