Today I bought my second car here, I worked with Sam. Sam was absolutely AMAZING and beyond helpful and understanding. I knew what I wanted and he did everything he could to make it happen. He went above and beyond. The crew here in general at Yankee ford are all so friendly, kind and awesome. Second time having a amazing experience and walking out with a smile on my face and no regrets. I always know I'm in good hands with the crew here. Won't buy a car anywhere else. Definitely recommend Yankee ford and working with Sam !

I have to say that I was really impressed by the Service Department at Yankee Ford. Their online appointment system was easy to use, and when I called and explained that we were currently on the road, they went out of their way to get us a same day appointment. Once there, all of the Service Dept staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional, and they managed to isolate the issue and fix it in no time. Because of Yankee Ford, we were able to continue on our road trip stress-free. Highly recommend and thank you so much!

Good people here. They have years of experience in there and it shows. They get you into what YOU want not what they want you in. I worked with Julie and she was funny, encouraging, helpful and all around lovely. 100% responsive to emails, questions and had 3 trucks I could work with when I got there. I looked at them and jumped into number 1 and instantly knew as I pulled out of the lot “this was the truck”. I never thought I’d have a truck with how expensive they are these days. But. These guys made it work for me.. they will make it work for you. Work hard and it pays off Thank you all!

Mr. Robbie Benner was the best salesman ever, he was extremely patient with me, professional, courteous and went above and beyond to help me get into a van for my dog sitting business! He deserves a raise! I had limited time to purchase the vehicle, and he executed everything perfectly to assist me and then to top it off, had it detailed, filled up and delivered it to my house! I am eternally grateful for his above and beyond service to me! He was extremely helpful and did it with such kindness! Thank you immensely!

I had a great experience with the service department. Todd handled my vehicle, my son's Ford and my other son's non-Ford. He got us in and out and communicated all along the way. The price/value was good, and the work was done professionally. We will keep coming back! Thank you Todd.

I have bought many cars at many different dealers in this one tops the worst experience I've ever had. I would not recommend a single human being on the face of the earth to go to yankee ford in South Portland. Needless to say I walked out not buying a car from them. They pretty much told me flat out couldn't afford it when the payment just wasn't where I wanted it. Wasn't willing to work numbers at all. I felt very uncomfortable sitting down in front of the gentleman. They try to give you the lowest dollar on trade and the highest dollar on the value of their vehicle. I hear the service side is good. But the sales side is a complete xxxx. whole. Don't make the mistake Stay away from Yankee ford.

Was there for 2 hours to get a few things done. The key on my 5 month car stopped working. When I took my winter floor mats off the hooks to put the carpet ones down, the hook pulled half way out of the floor. They didn't fix it or do anything about it except reattach the floor mats. Now I need to go sit there again to get it fixed.

In 2014 I leased a Ford Mustang from a Mr. Bob Esposito I walked out happy with my payment terms. The people were all very friendly to me. Julie Green is in sales she is very capable and has a wonderful personality for their sales dept. Patrick Murray helped me get things done in the service department later on when I needed an oil change. Marty Darling is a great big man thats always happy to see you, he loves to show you the Ford trucks. I think he knows they are the safest in the Industry. Buzz works at the service desk under Mr. Murray he's so very professional, its a great company! Danny Romano is a highly skilled Technician that eats, drinks and lives Ford Motor Company. He is friendly super smart and has a great way with customers. Their body shop even repaired a minor dent after an old guy hit my brand new car on the scarborough connector. My Mustang loves seeing Yankee Ford it knows its going to get pampered at this Ford Facility.

Reality as most of us know...purchasing a new/used vehicle from a dealership can be frustrating. I have dealt with YF in the past and I was very happy. Last week I knew what I wanted & I just wanted to get the car and move on with my busy life. I also knew I wanted to work with Julie who is the sweetest saleslady I have ever met! She just gets her customers! No pressure from her and a relaxed experience makes it easy to want to request her and work with her to purchase. She hustled to get the paperwork completed, shout out to Jason w/ the great tan too! She had the service department clean the car, wash it and the tank was full. She took time to explain the electronics and synced my phone (which I unsynced Julie...lol) I was so happy and remain very pleased with my choice to buy a Focus and from Yankee Ford. Thank you ALL very much.

Had a friend drive me there, Bath to South Portland. I had my cash in hand, to purchase an auto I had seen on line. I called first to ask how I would get it home without insurance. The guy said they have drivers that deliver the car to my house. I arrived and took a test drive in the parking lot, they said I could test drive on road, but I was too nervous when it was not my car. I was really happy with the car, went into office to purchase, started counting the money to make sure it was the correct amount. The sales person then announces they will "TOW" it to my house, I said TOW? It turns out the car was not drive able, could not get sticker.......no comment on what was wrong with car. Needless to say I was disgusted and did not buy a car that was (un drive able) !!

On October 3rd I experienced a mechinical issue with my 2005 Ford Freestar while on vacation. I could not find a mechanic in the area and had my car towed to Yankee Ford. I had the most pleasant experience with Pat Murray at the service desk.He went out of his way to help us by offering us a complimentary rental car for the weekend. What could have been a very unplesant vacation turned into a wonderful time in our favorite vacation spot,Maine. Pat even called us after we picked up the car asking if everything was working properly.I have been a Ford customer for over 40 years and commend the staff, especially Pat at Yanlee Ford.

I attempted to clarify Sean the sales persons statement about the payments on 2 different vehicles and his response was that difference was 6 vs 5 months followed by "you do the math" in a very demeaning and disrepctful tone. He was not apologetic when I said I didn't appreciate his tone and would not work with him at which point he hung up on me. I would not recommend this dealership.

From Bob, Marty and Steve they make the process of buying a vehicle enjoyable and without any hassles and with a very straight forward approach. Thanks guys for the new truck. I have been searching for a Ford explorer for a month. Going from one dealership to another. When I entered Yankee Ford in South Portland, Travis approached me and asked if he can assist. I was amazed by his patience to hear all my needs and to offer me many options that can fit my budget. He did not give the feeling that he wants to get as much money for me and as soon as possible. It was just the opposite, he did not push me to buy, and suggested to go home to think again about the car I wanted since it was above the budget I planned. He even advised me to buy a cheaper car just so I won't be economically stressed. The feeling was that I am buying a car from a friend or family. Travis did an enormous efforts to help me with the car price and the car loan I needed from the banks. Eventually, he got me a great price and I am so happy with the car I chose. I wish all service customers and car dealers will give the same service as I got, they deserve all the complements. There is no question where I will buy my next car - Yankee Ford!!

Great FORD dealer !!! Bob Esposito gets it done, quickly, efficiently, and easy . Best financing anywhere !! As for service, you will NEVER find anyone better, than PAT MURRAY, he goes well beyond the call of duty, is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable . Ford cars and Trucks are the best period. My 2009 F-150 just got its first set of plugs at 242,000 miles , hows that for long lasting quality . I can out haul, and have better durability than any other Truck brand period. This truck replaced a 4 year old F-150 with 285,000 miles, which replaced a 3 year old F-150 with 190,000......well you get the picture. Ford Trucks are #1 for a reason.

I love this dealership! I have purchased my last 8 vehicles from them not just because they have the best prices but because their service and sales dept. are the best. Nobody has a better selection of used and program cars. The amount they gave me for my trade in was unmatched. Great staff, great service. Thank you Yankee Ford!

There's something old-fashioned about Yankee Ford, and I mean that in a good way. It's not a fancy dealership with lattes and manicures, and I'm ok with that. I bought a used BMW recently and I feel really good about the deal I got because there was no pressure, and it was totally transparent. The sales manager literally showed me the invoice for the car, where they got it, and so on. Obviously the dealership needs to make something off the car, and we agreed on an amount that seemed totally fair. They're happy, I'm happy, and it was the most no nonsense deal that just made good sense. No need for marble floors and lattes folks...just old-fashioned customer service. Thanks to the Yanks! (not to be confused with the NY Yankees of course, who I will not be thanking for anything, ever)

I have been a customer at Yankee Ford for years and I am completely happy with the entire staff and the way I am treated each and every time I go back. The sales staff is very 'honest' throughout the buying process and they go out of their way to find solutions to the customer's needs, not the needs of the dealership. From the top down, the staff understands what customer service is all about and they make what can be a very painful process actually enjoyable. If you want to find the best deal with the least amount of hassle then go no further than Yankee Ford in South Portland, Maine - the best dealership in Maine and in New England!!

I have been dealing with Bob Esposito, Marty Darling and the Yankee Ford dealership for about 20 years! I have purchased every car for my wife and I there for the last 20 years as well. They are the best! They walk you through a deal and make sure you are comfortable with the experience. We just leased a new Explorer and we couldn't be happier! They make car buying fun and informative! I really like everyone there as they make you feel like family which is important to me. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new or used car!

Was in area when having trouble with my old vehicle not running right!!! Their service department took look at my vehicle and told me that the reason transmission was not right was just some type of vacuum hose and fixed vehicle right away. ( I was told by another dealer that it would cost thousands to repair and I just thought I best check it out by another dealership (YANKEE FORD). While I was there waiting I spoke to their sales department who said why not take a look at some of their use vehicles. I found a late model Fusion and I can tell you that being a retired senior it was a pleasure to do business whit an HONEST DEALER. No games, gave me a price on the Fusion, told me what they were going to give me for my trade and it took a short while for my financing!!! As I was waiting to sign my papers the manager came out and I thought OK this is the price bump, but to my surprise he told me they shopped a few different banks and that my payment was going to be almost $30.00 less than I had agreed to. I will be purchasing all my vehicles from them from now on and will make sure that my family and friends do the same. Honest service department and sales, WOW where do you find that these days. Yankee Ford keep up the great work.

Car commercials are usually a way to just get you into a dealership, but everything that Bob Esposito said in his commercials turned into reality! My wife and I traded in our two cars for two new ones. We got the thousand under invoice and we got the rebates and before I bought with Yankee I checked two other Ford dealers and they weren't even close to the deal Yankee gave us. Not only did we get a great deal, we were treated very well. Bob and his staff made the car buying experience a very easy one!

I highly rate Yankee Ford in South Portland, Maine and recommend it to anyone who wants to walk in, talk to 'honest' sale staff and not have to put up with all the hassle of buying a car that you typically find at other dealerships. From the top on down, the entire staff (including their service department) is completely 'honest' and 'trustworthy' - not to mention extremely knowledgeable and can help provide car options that best meet the need of the customer (not just what is in the dealership's best interest). You are treated like a 'friend' instead of a customer and the personal approach continues from day 1 on. It is a pleasure working with the Yankee Ford team and I would not go anywhere else to get my next car - best price, best service and completely 'honest' throughout the process...the best dealership in Maine and in New England.

Our family have always owned Volvo and Honda for safety. My daughter test drove the Ford Focus with Casey and loved it. However I was uneasy I needed something safe and that I trusted for her commute to school this fall. My whole entire outlook changed when I researched the focus and then went with her to the dealership. The sales manager personally sat down with me and explained everything. The most exciting part for kaylee was the car is on her name!!! Yankee qualified her for the college student program and got her a payment she could afford. I loved how Bob Esposito personally told me about his daughters and how he felt when they first leased there focus. I will tell my friends and family that ford is in and bye bye Volvo.

I was very disappointed with the way I was treated by this dealership. I was told by their salespeople that "We will beat [other dealership], period!" When we arrived to purchase the vehicle they attempted a classic bait and switch. When we told them we wanted to stick with the original plan they told us they couldn't do what they said they would. This was horrible customer service. The way I was treated by Yankee Ford reinforced many negative stereotypes of car dealers.

We bought a used car and never received anything for ours in trade. After we had signed the purchase agreement the dealer, Joe Zukoski went into full detail about the deal we had just received. He said they had made a 1,000, we got nothing for our trade. It made us feel very disrespected and we thought he was very arrogant and unprofessional. The car had no warranty and tons of problems such as; front end damage, windows on passenger side did not work, needed two front tires, not inspected, needed alignment, needed a radio, it ate our cds. The car belonged in a salvage yard and should not have been sold to the public. They did nothing about our complaints. We got used terrible and won't be back ever! They should be a shamed how they conduct business.

Shortly after purchasing a used Audi A4 I found that the turbo system was malfunctioning, there were wires shorting out in the door, there was a cut wire on the fog light, and the windshield wipers stopped in the middle of the windscreen. When I went in yesterday and today I found that the management staff was rude and condescending. This includes the service manager as well as the new and used car sales managers. I was made to stand around for 3 and a half hours simply waiting to talk with someone about the problems. Yankee Ford does not feel they owe it to me to make any of the problems right despite the fact that they were not disclosed to me at the time of the sale. The only thing they did was reset the check engine light, this took them an entire day and they didn't have the decency to call me and let me know they had "looked" at the car. They have done nothing but rip me off and waste my time. I highly recommend reading reviews on yelp and autotrader, they echo the same thing. These guys have terrible customer service, they don't care about you, just the quick buck that you might make them. I feel bad as this only hurts their sales team, people like Julie and Joe, the only two decent people I spoke to there.I'd stay away from Brunswick Ford as they're under the same sloppy ownership. If you find yourself in the market check out Casco Bay Ford in Yarmouth. I've always had a great experience with them.

There were so many issues I'm not sure where to begin. After deciding our family had "out grown" our current vehicle my husband and I started shopping for bigger vehicles. We tried out several different makes/models and decided we liked the Toyota Sequoias the best. After shopping around for about 6 mos we found one online at Yankee Ford that looked like a good deal. We set up a time for the following day to look at the vehicle. Since we were 2 hours away my husband had to take the morning off from work. When we arrived Jamie (the salesman we had been dealing with over the phone) informed us that the vehicle was still in the service department and he had tried to text us...we did not receive a text. Since we had driven 2 hours we decided to wait. It was obvious right off that that the dealership lacked professionalism. The sales people dressed very sloppy, you can wear jeans and still look respectable. Instead of talking with customers that were in the show room they were playing games on their phones. One of the sales people brought their 3 year old to work and he was running around completely unsupervised to the point I felt I needed to watch him. Once we drove the vehicle we decided it was worth seeing what they could do. They gave us a very good trade in on our '05 Cadillac Srx however the monthly payment on the sequoia was more than we wanted to spend. Jamie then tried to talk me into leasing a Ford Explorer. I explained to him that I needed something bigger and of all the vehicles I tried out I liked the sequoia the best. He then tried to make me feel guilty for not buying an American made vehicle. After going back and forth he told us he could get our payment lower if we had a good credit score (which we do) however if we filled out the loan paperwork we would be locked into buying the vehicle. I'm 38 years old and it not the first time I've purchased a vehicle so I know that's not true. I passed it off as Jamie being young and inexperienced, I told him to go ahead and run our credit but that we would be checking with the our bank as well. Two days later we received a call from Yankee's lending department telling us the great interest rate they could get us, it was 1% higher than our bank was offering. They then called us back 5 min later with a lower rate (still not as low as our bank) and tried to bad mouth the bank we have used for years. We got everything set up with our bank and told Jamie we be down early on Saturday to fill out the paperwork and pick up the car but that we needed to be back for our daughter's basketball game that afternoon. After filling out all the paperwork we were told they were just finishing cleaning the veh and it would be about 10 minutes. An hour and a half later after my husband had to search someone down to find out what was going on we were finally able to leave. Two weeks later I rolled my passenger side window down and it fell inside the door. I took it to my local mechanic who was able to tape it up and tell me what was wrong. Since we had a 30 day warranty my husband called Yankee for to see if they would go good it. We were told that we should talk with Jamie our salesman again. He promised to look into it and call us back 2 days later and we still had not received a call my husband called again and Jamie still hadn't looked into it and his response was that he found it hard to believe we had the vehicle for two weeks and had not rolled the window down. Not that it matters but it's January in Maine I don't know many people that roll their passenger side windows down. At this point my husband lost his patience and called the owner of the dealership who sympathized with us and told him he would get back to us. That was on a Friday morning by Tuesday we still hadn't heard anything so again my husband made another call and was told Jamie was supposed to have called to tell us that we could bring it to one of their other dealerships that were closer to us (still over an hour away) and they would look at it. We then received a call from Tim in Yankee's service department telling us that it was ridiculous for us to have to drive so far for such a simple fix. He told us to have our local mechanic do the repair and they would pay him directly...thank you Tim!!!! Tim is the only reason I am giving this a 1 star rating. I can tell you we will NEVER buy a vehicle through them again no matter how good the deal! The owner should take a serious look at his employees they are rude and unprofessional. I will also be sure to check reviews on dealerships next time I buy a car. By the looks of it I am not the only one who has had a horrible experience with this dealership.

I went to Yankee Ford in hopes that i'd end up with a better vehicle than I had. I've been to a million dealerships, and always have been told 'no'. I came here, and all of that changed. Upon arrival, everyone was genuine and seemed to care about their customers. I was approved for a 2014 Ford Focus SE. I love it! I was amazed at how hard everyone worked to get me this car. They went above and beyond. So thanks to Yankee Ford! You guys know what you're doing, and care about the people you earn business from. I recommend going here! Special thanks to Joey L, and all of the sales managers.

Bought a Chevrolet Suburban at Yankee Ford. Our Salesman, Joey LaRochelle, was Fantastic!! He listened to what we were looking for and the requirements we needed to fit our family. He helped us get a vehicle that not only meet our needs as a family of 6 but exceeded our expectations as well! We now have a kickin' SUV that our entire family loves! Thank you so much Joey and Yankee Ford!!

We bought our car there in August. It needed some work and an inspection in December. When we took it back there we had excellent customer service. We were given a loaner car while they serviced our car. They felt that some of the repairs should have been done before we bought the car and they did all the repairs at NO COST!!! We could not be more pleased with their commitment to making sure we were taken care of and happy customers. We would absolutely buy our next car at Yankee Ford.

This was my second purchase from Yankee Ford: 2 years ago I purchased a 2013 explorer. This time around, a 2015 Ford Escape. I love my escape: it was exactly what I had asked for. They special ordered the color I wanted and listened to what my requirements were. Bourke, my salesman was a no nonsense, honest guy. He listened, told me what they could do and never tried to pressure me into anything. I got a fair value for my trade in. Overall, a great experience.

This is my second purchase from Yankee Ford. I service my vehicle at Yankee Ford as well. I consistently receive excellent customer service from everyone at Yankee. I went in to explore possibility of trading in my Ford C-Max. I was greeted by Jamie Rice. From start to finish he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing a new Escape and am thrilled. I will most definitely recommend friends and family to both Yankee Ford and Jamie.

The entire experience was a positive one from start to finish. There was no hard sell. Yankee Ford is conveniently located and has the best prices. Jamie Rice the sales person was acommodating, nice, and genuine and both my husband and I ended up leaving with the cars we wanted for a great deal. He took the time to explain everything in detail and set-up our cars so we were good to go. The financing people were also cooperative and got us great deals within our budget. This is our 2nd time getting cars at Yankee Ford and we will definitely continue to come back in the future and recommend to our friends and family.

I just bought a 2012 Ford Focus. It was a great experience Joe the salesman was the best. No pressure at all. He knew I wanted to buy a car so he let me do it. Andrew the finance guy was so easy to work with, they make a great team. This is the 3rd car I have bought from Yankee and I will go back again and I tell everybody I know about what an easy time it was buying the car> In and out in about 90 minutes with a test drive. Oh yeah a full tank of gas!! Kepp up the great work guys

My wife and I went into Yankee Ford originally looking to buy a quality used car and was able to walk out with a lease on a brand new 2014 Ford Focus at a very affordable monthly rate with great terms. Our salesman, Ed Brown, was outstanding and made us feel very comfortable without any pressure. He listened to our needs and what we were looking for in a dependable car with great fuel economy. The Focus met all of our needs and exceeded our expectations! This is the third vehicle that we have purchased from Ed and the fourth for my wife. Ed knows how to treat customers before, during, and after the sale. Ed always makes himself available to his customers and follows up after the sale. Ed treats his customers like family and they often become life-long customers and friends! I always recommend Ed to anyone I meet that is looking for a new or used vehicle and they always leave as satisfied customers! Thanks Ed! We will be back!

I'd been to numerous dealerships all day and was tired of the way I was being treated. It was a breath of fresh air to have the buying experience we encountered. Jamie Rice was up front and worked diligently to ensure we got the deal we wanted. I have already told numerous friends and family members to go to Yankee Ford and to ask for Jamie Rice to help them buy a new car and ensure that they get a good deal! Best car buying experience we have ever had by far!

I cant think of many things I dislike more than shopping for a new auto. After researching my next purchase I stopped by Yankee Ford to try out my choices. Julie and Travis were fantastic at finding the cars on my wish list. After thinking and researching more, Travis assisted me in finding the perfect car and the perfect price all via email and text. From having my selection waiting at the front door to test drive for a couple of days, to having all documents waiting on his desk for me to close on in a matter of minutes. It was a purchase made so easy due to intuitive, thinking and accommodating personnel. Kudos to Yankee Ford, Julie and Travis!

I had heard about different dealerships from all of my friends, but none of the salesmen I talked to were willing to sell me an Edge in my price range. I had always heard the Yankee Ford commercials on the radio so I decided to go check them out. As soon as I entered the door, I was greeted by a very endearing young salesman by the name of Jamie Rice. After we talked for a while, he found me a great used Edge and was actually in my price range. Prior to this occurrence, I had spoken with multiple different salesmen, but Jamie Rice was by far the most helpful. I have already spoken with family members and friends about Yankee Ford, but more specifically Jamie Rice.

I can't think of many things I dislike more than shopping for an auto. Because I had previously been to this dealership while researching a possible replacement auto, I found the sales people extremely attentive to "my wish list". Both Travis and Julie, assisted me in trying different vehicles that were with in the perimeter I expressed to them. A few months later when I was ready to buy, Travis was most helpful in finding the model and price that I specified. He worked with me via email and text and made test driving as well as purchasing the auto a breeze! I absolutely love my "new" car and would highly recommend Yankee Ford to my friends.

We have bought 2 cars from Yankee Ford in the last 2 years. Each time we shopped there we had an excellent experience. Travis Soule was our salesman the first time and we requested him the second time. We felt that he truly listened to our needs and didn't try to push into a vehicle that we couldn't afford. The first vehicle was for our 18 year old daughter who would be traveling 7-8 hours back and forth from college, so safety was a must. Travis went out of his way to find a vehicle with an excellent safety rating. The dealership itself was clean and attractive and the employees were very friendly. We found a great vehicle at a great price each time that we visited. I would highly recommend Yankee Ford!!

I bought my truck from them last year. I was very impressed by the service and attention to my needs. I was so pleased with the service, I decided to take my vehicle back to them for all my service. My daughter has a vehicle as well and she has had some issues with Her vehicle so I decided to take her car there as well. Her car has been there twice for repair and each time they took care of everything. The person who was first to help was Travis Soule... Although he is not the machanic, he went above and beyond to get the job done. We WILL be returning to purchase our next vehicle, and I will be seeing Travis again. 100% satisfied.

I recently went to Yankee ford in south portland to buy a "new to me" car. The selection was great and the salesman (Travis Soule) had great knowledge of their inventory and what was great about each car I wanted to look at. I recently visited Yankee Ford in pursuit of a new vehicle and was thrilled by the customer service I received by a member of the sales team, Travis Soule. Although I haven't made my decision yet on which vehicle I will be purchasing, Travis was so patient with me as I test drove several vehicles. I asked probably more questions than the average person. The quality of professionalism that I received was top notch. Thanks Yankee Ford and Mr. Soule! I'll be back and will certainly recommend your dealership to all my friends!

Went to Yankee Ford yesterday to buy a pre-owned Explorer. Found a vehicle I really liked and called the individual I was working with, Travis, and he said he would call me back but never did. It makes me wonder how bad this organization wants to sell cars. The guy was nice enough but it does not seem like they are a very professional organization based on my experience and the feedback I have read here. I would suggest going to a different dealer to get a vehicle.

The salesman I worked with was ok no complaints. The problem is when the car self destructed and I contacted the Sales manager his attitude was that's what you get for buying a car with that many miles on it. I have had the car less then 3 months and it needs a new transmission and engine. The sales manager became hostile and threatened me "You better not tell any lies about my dealership." I don't need to tell any lies the truth is bad enough. Then he took an aggressive posture against me and told me to leave his dealership then proceeded to chase me to the door all the way threatening me. I really thought he was going to hit me. I never raised my voice to him or took any aggressive postures towards him he just kind of went off. I have spoken to other residents of the area who said the same thing about him before I mentioned his name. Check the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau. Especially his response still trying to intimidate. There are plenty of car dealers around why take chances with this one?

Today at about 11:00 I walked into Yankee ford to talk to the Sales manager about a car I purchased that after less then 3 months it needs a new engine and transmission. I did purchase the car as is with no warranty like I have many other vehicles through out my life. However, I expect that if I purchase a vehicle from a dealership they are going to want to keep the customer happy and have them return next time they purchase a vehicle. My intent in visiting the sales manager Robert Esposito this morning was to see if they would even try to come up with some sort of agreement. Well I had previously spoken with the internet sales manager so they were ready for me when I got there. Mr. Esposito started off with its your problem not ours you purchased it as is with no warranty. I tried to get him to understand that because of the problems with the car I purchased I needed to buy another car now and would be willing to purchase to them if we could reach some sort of understanding. He didn't care it was my problem not theirs. The problems with this car put it squarely under Maine's lemon law. Mr Esposito tried to tell me it did not and that he would deny the claim from the state, like he has final say in it. When I told him that I would share this story with others and it would cost him customers he said he was tired of me threatening him and I had to leave his store. I said I was not threatening but would leave the store. At this point he stood up and took an aggressive and threatening stance against me. Then proceeded to follow me out of the store threatening me with "you better not tell any lies about my dealership." Two problems with that is I don't like and the second I don't need to like the truth is bad enough. I will get this taken care of through Maine's Lemon Law but I would also strongly discourage anyone from doing business with Yankee Ford or Brunswick ford (owned by the same people). Even Mr. Esposito has the buyer beware attitude in how he deals with things. I encourage you to look at other complaints about this dealership this is not a unique situation where the sales manager tries to use physical and verbal intimidation against un-happy customers.

I received great service from Travis and Bill. As an anxiety sufferer, I was very nervous about shopping for a car. I sent an email and the next day received a response from Dale and phone call from Travis. He and Bill really worked with my situation right down to the down payment. I got the SUV that I wanted and love my car. I was able to drive up 2 days later... paperwork was ready for me, figures and verbage were explained to me, and was allowed to drive away that very day with my new Escape. Thanks Yankee Ford!

In all fairness, this incident happened in 1988. However, it was so unprofessional and appalling that I feel that the truth must be told, even now. My girlfriend (now my wife) went to Yankee Ford and traded in her Escort on a used Tempo. The Tempo had some paint chips on the rear quarter panels and she was assured that these would be re-sprayed before she took the vehicle home. When she returned a few days later, the work had not been done. She was asked by the salesman to wait, and he would "take care of it". After 45 minuets, she walked into the shop and saw the salesman applying touch up paint with a brush. Basically, she had been lied to. Somewhat disgusted, she brought the car home anyway. About 3 weeks later, I decided to check the oil. When I pulled the dipstick, IT WAS TOTALLY DRY! I added a quart of oil, and IT WAS STILL DRY! I added a second quart and finally it showed at the end of the dipstick. I had to add a third quart before the oil level was correct. It was a miracle that the engine hadn't seized as it only had a 4 quart capacity. Yankee Ford had sold a car that was 3 QUARTS LOW ON OIL! The car wasn't burning oil and had no oil leaks. They just didn't bother to check oil before they sold the car to a single female customer. Luckily, the Tempo was a rugged car and ran fine until it was traded in 2 years later for an Escort GT. You can bet your bottom dollar that it was traded at a different Southern Maine Ford dealer. We never went back to, and never will go to Yankee Ford again. I don't know if they still conduct business this way but I don't intend to find out. There are plenty of other Ford dealers that you should visit first...

We have had Ford vehicles for years but I always dread the purchase process...too much negotiating, too many shifting numbers, and in general an unpleasant high pressure experience. Dale Schaper at Yankee Ford in Portland, Maine responded to my email with an internet price request on a specific Focus Hatchback. It was a new Focus on their lot and we had looked at it on a Sunday when dealerships are closed (no hassle with helpful salespeople). Through Kelley Blue Book I knew the "fair price" range on that vehicle. Also negotiated with another location as comparison in the same way. We have been looking for awhile so we had done a test drive on both the Fiesta and Focus so we had determined exactly what we wanted. Dale got back to me immediately with their price and it was a lot less than all my research had suggested. The email contained all details: final price, dealer prep, sales tax, vehicle sticker invoice and vin number. My response to Dale was: " Done.... :) " Picked up the car about 3 days later. All paperwork was ready, Jimmy (sales) introduced us to new standard features like: track control, blue tooth, and managing the onboard computer set up. Not only was using the internet to purchase the best process ever but Ford makes an extremely high quality product with the latest in design detail and technology. Way to go Ford and Dale Schaper.......love the new Focus Hatchback !! Now just get that T6 Ranger into the US market soon.

DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. I FELT THAT THE SALESMAN WAS NOT DOING A PROPER JOB AND THE FINANCE GENTLEMAN ALSO DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH WITH HIS JOB AND WAS NOT BEING TRUTHFUL WITH ME. I FELT AS THOUGH I GOT THE RUN-AROUND ALOT AND WAS GREATLY INCONVENIENCED. I AM SADLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE PROCESS OF THIS SALE, NOT TO MENTION THE PRICE I PAID FOR THIS NEW VEHICLE WAS MORE THAN IT SHOULD OF BEEN.

I was skeptical about going to this dealer after reading some reviews online. So I called first. I spoke with Tyler who was very polite and not pushy at all. He told me to come by. I was interested in a car they had on the lot. It was a used kia soul. However my concern was that the car was only 3 months old and had 500 miles on it, yet labeled as used. After getting to the dealership I was introduced to Jim who was incredibly polite. He let me take the car out for a spin and was interested in how I liked it. Not being a kia dealership I expected them to have little knowledge about the car. Any questions he didn't know the answer to he found out. And was incredible persistent in getting all the details on the car to put my worries to rest. They never pressured me and the entire transaction went so smoothly thanks to Jim. They also let me keep the car in the interim while we were waiting on the bank! I will definitely be back without any hesitation.

I live in out of state, and called them to discuss the purchase of an older very low mileage Jeep they had on their website. I expected this to be a simple transaction, my family and I owned several jeeps identical to it, and I had been searching for one for a while. I liked the body style of the model. The experience started out well Dale Schaper responded quickly to my email with photos and a video, as the jeep had just been taken in trade. He also quoted me a price. After getting the emails and seeing the condition I felt my search was over, but felt their price was a bit high. I emailed Dale back after looking up the Jeep on Edmonds, KBB, and NADA. They were at the very top of the blue book value which varied by $2,000 between the sites. I knew what I was willing to spend on the Jeep because of its age and offered it, which cut $800 off their asking price. I expected to get a reply somewhere in between. I was not trading in anything and had a cash deposit. Dales response after talking to his sales manager was that the price was firm, that Vauto; a software you have to purchase showed their price to be a sale price. At this time I asked Dale what type of deposit would be required to hold the vehicle until I could make the trip to come get it, which would be 4 or 5 days. He again had to check with his manger and asked for $1000 deposit. This seemed extremely high as I have never had to put down more than $150, and that was on a truck costing twice as much. I decided to sleep on it. The next day I discovered the Jeep was on their website for almost exactly what I offered originally, I email Dale questioning the price change over night, but agreeing to purchase it with a $500 refundable deposit, if the vehicle was not as promised. Dale emailed me back accepting the deposit but commenting that it was very light to accept so little to take a car off the market. He also implied his manger didn't have confidence in my ability to complete the sale, he had run no credit report at all at this time, and knew nothing about me. Then he went on to inform that the price on their website was wrong, and the price he quoted me was wrong too. The manager had set the price $88 higher, that was now the price. $88, thats it, and they wouldnt move, thats after they screwed up multiple times on the price, they wanted the $88! This dealership is a disgrace, the salesmen are puppets, and from similar reviews I have read the manager needs to be fired. They like head games, or are completely disorganized. After few days of dealing with this, I walked away from the deal. I could just imagine what surprises awaited me if made the 5 hour drive, it wasnt worth it anymore. In my next to final email to them I pointed out their ridiculous deposit was the same as I put down on the house I just bought (which cost nearly twenty times the Jeep), which I bought on my own, that should have told them exactly where my credit stood. I hope it cleared up their fears about my ability to complete the transaction. I have one more email for them; next week Ill take delivery of a much newer SUV, what was more expensive, with 10,000 miles on it. Ill send them a picture of it and thank them for their complete lack of professionalism. My advice to the rest of you is simple: RUN AWAY!!

I went to Yankee Ford searching for a late-model, used Mazda. When I got there, I walked in and nobody came up to greet me. I sort of wandered around the cluttered showroom for several minutes. People were looking at me, but I couldn't tell if they worked there or not. As I headed outside to the lot, someone finally asked me if I needed help. Ed Brown was fairly nice at the beginning. I knew the vehicle I wanted to look at before I got there, so I told him, and he took me over to it and brought it out so I could test drive it. Okay, so far so good, I suppose. A little curt on the customer service so far, but whatever, let's take this for a spin. When I returned, he mentioned that there was a newer car of the same make and model for sale as well. When I asked him how much it was, he said "Millions. But we'll charge you less. Take it for a spin." That was anything but helpful. This made me a little more wary, but I took it for a spin anyway. When I got back, he asked me which one I liked better, and I said the first one, mostly because I actually knew what the price was (only because I had looked it up online beforehand). We sit down and he arranges for a guy to look at my current vehicle which I was going to trade in. He takes down my info, then immediately gets into "What can I do to get you to drive this car out today?". Now, I had absolutely no intention of buying anything that day, and I told him that at least 5 times, but the pressure kept coming. After finding out my trade-in value, he left for a bit to crunch the numbers, I guess. It was at this time that I noticed how unprofessional the entire place was. The salesmen who weren't with any customers were running around showing each other their phones, cracking jokes, and just being very loud and obnoxious. And I KNOW that they saw me sitting there because they looked right at me. They had a radio on, for background music I'm guessing, and while I was there, I heard a commercial for Casco Bay Ford. I thought it was odd that this Ford dealership would allow public radio stations in its lobby, when there are advertisements for OTHER Ford dealerships on. If you're going to have any music, make sure it's not broken up with commercials for your competitors. I ended up checking out Casco Bay Ford right after I left, oddly enough. When Ed came back with some bogus monthly payment numbers (he hadn't done a credit check yet) I said to him again, that I really wasn't ready to buy anything that day. The next thing out of his mouth was "So, what time Monday?". I was there on a Saturday, and for good reason. I work a full-time office job, so I had to go on a Saturday, and he just assumed that I would be able to drop everything and come in again. So I said to just call me mid-afternoon on Monday, and I'll let him know what I've decided. Then he stood up and said talk to you on Monday. Within about a minute of me saying that I wasn't ready to buy that day, I was getting the heave-ho, out the door. These guys apparently don't have time to waste on people who aren't there to buy a car that day. That's definitely the impression that I got. I mean, it's kind of good that he didn't drag things out and try to change my mind, but he's the salesman - he should be doing anything he can to sell me a car, right? I could tell that he didn't care at all about me, once he found out I wasn't going to be giving him any money that day.So the weekend goes by, and I'm at work on Monday, expecting him to call shortly after lunch. My phone rings at 10am, and I don't answer because I'm in a meeting, thinking if it's the sales guy he'll leave a message and I can get in touch with him later. He didn't leave a message. He called me again on Wednesday, again around 10am, and I told him that I was not interested in the car anymore. He says, "Okay, bye." then hangs up... Thus, the conclusion of my relationship with Ed Brown from Yankee Ford. And I'm never going back, and I suggest you don't go either. One final note. I was looking at a 2011 used car, and it was absolutely beat to xxxx. Scratches all over it, dog hair in the back, the rear bumper had huge gouges in it, and a warning light kept coming on during the test drive. And they wanted like $16k for this thing! What I'm saying is, if you're getting used, expect something beat up, and expect to pay too much for it. And if you're looking for a new Mazda, don't go here, because they "can't sell them new" according to Ed, which I found odd for a Ford dealership, because they are closely affiliated with Mazda.Moral of the story is: STAY AWAY!!

I was not looking forward to car shopping as I don't care for all of the haggaling that goes on to get a fair price. I went to a couple of dealerships, and unfortunately for me, 'Yankme' Ford was the only one that had the exact vehicle I was looking for. Their price was fair, but their attiitudes stink! Marty Darling could not be more of an xxx to deal with. He is rude, arrogant and has no people skills - especially once you sign on the "dotted line" - then you don't even exist in his eyes. Just get out . . . .so he can walk around the showroom some more with his high and mighty attitude. I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from them, even if they have a fair price, being treated like a human being is worth something in my book!

This was our fourth Dealership within an hour and a half. We had become frustrated with what we were hearing and how we were being treated. So the first thing I said when Nathan, at Yankee Ford, asked how we were doing was "Frustrated". He inquired and things got better from there. He showed us only Vehicles we said we were interested in. He did not try to push us into anything more than what we had in mind, which we didn't even know what we had in mind really. We started off by looking at just the 7 passengers, to waste no time, then we looked at miles and condition. We test drove the Vehicles that most caught our interest. The biggest eye catcher, was a Ford Explorer. After test driving it, We fell in love with it. Once we saw the price, on Paper by Tony, we were ready to just walk out. But Tony, a miracle worked, talked to us. He showed us the figures and it was a crazy figure that we knew we could not pay. So we told him we are just going to look at some of their other Vehicles. He wasn't going to let me give up on that Explorer that easily, he knew we really liked it. He talked to us and there was no pressure at all involved. We agreed on a payment that we could afford. He pretty must told us he would see what he could do, but he really doubted he could help, but was willing to try. WE really doubted he could help us too, We had a small window to work with. I was SO convinced that they could NOT help us, that I went back out and re-looked at the Mini-vans, which my husband and 3 children did NOT want at all. I walked back into the showroom and Tony met us back at the table. He asked me if I was ready to be shocked. I thought this was going to be still far from what I had told him for a payment. I was WRONG, he did shock me. He came back with a higher amount for our Trade in, an incredible Interest rate, and told us what we needed to put down and, I can't believe it, we ended up ONLY $20.00 over the figure I had given him. I don't know how he did it, he made it happen for us. Thank you so much Nathan and Tony... (We have a couple issues with the Vehicle that need to be fixed and I have an appointment for next week, will write an update on the service at Yankee Ford as well and if everything goes as smoothly with that area)Nancy- Gorham Maine

This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. It all begins with browsing the lot for about 20-25 minutes. No one came out to see if I needed assistance. I finally went inside knowing I wanted information on a certain flat black F150. I go over to the brochures and look for what I need. I search for 10 minutes and I even go into the cabinets underneath and come up with nothing. Still no one to assist me...Looking around the showroom, I can't tell who works there and who doesn't. I decide to ask a gentleman who had papers in his hands if he worked there. He said yes. I ask if there is a James there and he said "yes, I'll go tell him you're here." A couple minutes later James comes up to me and starts to assist me. I tell James about a specific truck I saw on their website. We go look it up on his computer. He clicks on a red truck which seems to be the same model, but wrong color. I tell him that there is a similar truck on the lot but it's not flat black like I want and I'm not sure if it's the same model as the one I saw on their website. He says that we can go outside to look at it. I say "there is no point if it's not the same truck, is there anyway of telling which model or package this one online has?" and he has no answer. I advise him that there is a flat black one on their website and to click on it and see if he can match a stock number or figure out any details. He finally does and I ask him to find out how much that truck is. His answer was "I'm guessing it's around $44,000. I was like, "you're guessing?" I needed real numbers so I can do my own math and figure out what I need out of the deal and what I need for my trade. He knew about the trade right from the beginning because of a call I made a couple days before so he had an upper hand on the situation and knew to manipulate numbers. He asked me a basic question, "what do you want for a payment?" and I say "as low as possible." I asked him what the price of the truck is and all he can say is "I don't know, we can go look at." yet again I had to tell him that the truck I want was not on the lot.In the middle of our conversation a man (tall older man with a bump on his nose) behind me quietly was telling James to move on and that there was no deal here today. He made James get up and walk over to a couple who was there for exactly the same reason I was. TO BUY A CAR or TRUCK. This man, manager, supervisor, owner... I don't know (I'll research this later) comes up to me and asks if I had any other questions. I told him that I do and that James was assisting me. He said "There was no deal here today." I said "We don't know that yet, but you put this couple ahead of me?!" He says "Well he (James) told you the price and he told you the payment and you said No, but you cans stick around until he's free again."I said "He didn't tell me a price and he didn't tell me a payment." This man so sure of himself walks over to James' desk and picks up a piece of paper. He says, "This isn't your paperwork here?"and I said "That's not mine, but is this how your treat your customers?"This man turns red and says "oh it's not yours? I'll get James back here"I was so furious I loudly spoke "This is ridiculous, I'm out of here!" I've never been treated like that before. This man only cared about getting people in and out the door. Any slight sign of no deal he was quick to toss them aside. He even had the audacity to say I can stick around and wait till they weren't busy. Waste my time when they don't have time for me?! He couldn't even tell me apart from the previous guy James was helping! I've heard horror stories about Yankee Ford before but still decided to check out their sale. I even know someone who worked there who after 2 weeks QUIT because he felt morally wrong about how they treat people there. This place gives Ford a bad name and they don't deserve to be open.

STAY AWAY! You will be RIPPED OFF big time if you take your car for service at Yankee Ford. A service agent , "Buzz," told me I needed work I suspected was not necessary and quoted me a sum for parts for the job that seemed ridiculously high. When I told him I didn't want the work done, he became irate. I'm sure he thought that, as an older woman, I was easy prey. I took the car to another service center and the mechanic told me the work was not necessary, and even if it was, the prices given by Yankee Ford for the repair and the the part I was told was needed were astronomically high. It's clear that service writers at Yankee Ford, like those in many unscrupulous dealers and other service centers, are salesmen who receive incentives to recommend service that isn't needed and overcharge for work being done. The more work they convince you your car needs, the more money they receive. I completely agree with the other reviewer. These people are scam artists. Do NOT TRUST THEM. Take your business elsewhere.

Stopped in to meet diesel tech as other dealers are terrible! Not in on MLK Day, but Nate came out in bitter cold to ask if he could help. showed us several cars, we said there were three we would consider if the number for our two trades was decent. Tony came up with numbers that were more than fair, and we left with our new car! Great experience, frigid weather! (A car dealer would say, "The weather's cold, our deals are HOT...).

I have bought my last 4 cars from Marty. Marty has always been good to me and has always treated me well. Anytime I have a question or concern, Marty takes care of it for me. We bought a 2013 escape and the next day it was recalled, Marty called me and got me in a rental so they could figure out what they were going to do about recall. We ended up getting a whole new 2013 escape that wasn't recalled. I will go back when it's time for another new car and see Marty. Thank you Marty and thank you for treated me so well!

The service department at Yankee Ford has always provided excellent service for my E-250. Today I decided to bring in my wife's BMW for a state inspection and to have the winter tires put on. Once again I was impressed by the friendly service. They took the car with only a few moments notice promising to fit it in during the day. By 5:00 the car was done, new sticker, summer wheels neatly bagged and placed in the trunk. Also they had topped off the washer fluid, free of charge. Thanks guys!

I recently had a very pleasant buying experience at Yankee Ford in South Portland. I had submitted an online inquiry on a 2013 Ford Fiesta via the Ford.com website. A few minutes after submitting the inquiry I was contacted by Tony Esposito at Yankee Ford. I trade vehicles every 2-3years and I was willing to quickly close on a deal if Yankee could meet my price. After telling Tony of the trade deal that I had in mind, he said he would get right to work and see what he could do. He called back within 30 minutes and we agreed on a deal that was even a bit better than what I had initially proposed. Yankee Ford gave me terrific value for the vehicle that I was trading in for the Fiesta. The whole process was amazingly quick and easyand everything was agreed to right over the phone which saved me a great deal of time. Tony had to get the vehicle I wanted from an out of state dealer and he went the extra mile to get the color that I preferred and he was able to get the vehicle in less than twenty-four hours! The car was brought to Yankee Ford the very next day and when I went to pick it up there were no surprises. Everything that we had agreed to over the phone went off without a hitch. I really appreciate the efforts of Tony as well as the assistance of salesman Neil Esposito and finance manager Dale Schaper in making this trade extremely easy and enjoyable.

We were shopping for a used BMW X series. I had just had a bad experience at another dealer in Scarborough when I stopped at Yankee Luxury Auto. Tony Esposito greeted us warmly and showed us the car we had seen on the internet. We took it for a drive and decided it was the one for us. After our experience with the previous dealer we were prepared to pay a little more than we had planned for the trade. When Tony told us what he could do I was shocked. His deal was so much better I could hardly believe it. Of course we drove home in a new (to us) BMW. We left feeling more like friends than customers. I highly recommend this a the place to buy a high end used vehicle, they are tops all the way.

First, this has nothing to do with Julie. My girlfriend had bought 3 vehicles through her. This involves the 6'3", 300+ lb bully of a Sales Manager she works for named Marty (who conveniently never provided his last name).I have never been treated with such an unprofessional level of business ethics and disrespect as I have prior to my attempt to purchase a 2011 Ford Explorer for my family. We had the financing, just needed to wait for our down payment to clear at our bank. On Tuesday, Oct 16th, at 12:30 PM Eastern, Marty calls, without really identifying who he was, and demands an answer if we're buying the vehicle "or what". After telling him that as a self-employed businessman of 7 years, if I spoke to him the way he spoke to me, we'd not be doing business. After changing his tone, I expressed what my only worry was on the vehicle, which was 33k mileage on the tires that are original to the vehicle. As they are $275 per tire, I asked if he would make a concession on price. He counter offered and said if I buy the new tires through his Service Shop, he would buy one of them, and would Mount & Balance for free. I considered that fair, he asked if we had a deal, and I confirmed a deal. He said he needed nothing signed, and didn't have to update the Purchase Agreement we had in hand. When I said we will be able to close on Thursday AM (the 18th), he said come on in.The 18th comes. Checks in hand to buy the vehicle in full. 10 minutes in, we're told the vehicle is on a "test drive". Julie seemed to think it was a safety check, which I thought was a nice touch. We wait another 25 minutes, still no sign of the Explorer. I ask Julie what's going on. She comes back to find out another consumer is test driving the vehicle, and is going to purchase it. Naturally, we're very upset. I demand an explanation. In comes Marty, first time I meet him. He's at least 6 inches taller than me, and at least 150 lbs larger than me. He asks me to come to a room out back. This room is really small, even for him. He asks me what my concern is. I ask "Why is a vehicle you and I agreed to a couple days ago being sold to someone else?" His reply, with an open mouthed condescending reply: "We're in business to sell cars".I pause a moment, and state "You selling cars isn't the issue. Selling the car we test drove, and agreed to with you, is the issue."He replies "You didn't sign anything!"I countered that "When I offered you my FAX number Tuesday if anything needed a signature, you declined needing us to sign, and said come here with checks in hand."His next reply was amazing: "Based on both of your credit, we didn't expect you to be able to afford it."That was it. I was called a liar, and due to my divorce and the credit challenges from that, I was made to feel subserviant. I told him we were done, walked out, grabbed our checks at the table where a poor confused sales rep who sold 3 vehicles to my girlfriend stood, and walked out without a word. As I put the checks into our Ford Escape (purchased at Yankee two years prior), Marty follows us. He asks us if he is to understand that if the other person doesn't want the vehicle, we're saying no to it as well.I said "Sir, with how unprofessional you have treated us, there is no way we want a vehicle from you. And with how insulting you were to me, as a Member of the Chamber of Commerce, I'm disgusted with you and will make sure others know."He decides to use his physical presence and yells "ARE YOU THREATENING ME!? ARE YOU SLANDERING ME!?" He stands over me, less than 2 feet from my face, with at least 8 people within 15 feet of the incident watching. But because of the situation and my anger, I'm not intimidated by him, nor do I make any move...just glare at him. He declares I "better not eyeball him if you know what's good for you". I stand my ground for 30 seconds, all the while taking one more cheapshot about our credit (funny that I have bank checks and paperwork with me, why is credit an issue here?), and finally yells at me to "Get the F!at# out!" I smile, and say "I'll be happy to." I stand another 10 seconds, walking away just looking at him, to see if he'd do something stupid. He did not, thankfully.I have never been more disgusted with a car buying experience in my life, and would tell anyone and everyone to avoid this company like the plague. Two words come to mind dealing with this man: Schoolyard Bully. No business deserves my hard earned income like this. And because of this, Julie Green has lost a client for life, who bought three vehicles there. She's the one who lost in all this.To sum this up: I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to Yankee Ford.By the way: Two days later, we bought a 2013 Kia Sorrento with 33k less miles on it. The funny thing is it cost us about $5k more...and we got approved! So much for credit being the issue, Marty!!

My wife and I shopped for vehicles from Quincy, Ma to Augusta, Me. We checked on line for the kinds of vehicles we were interested in and tried out several of them. On our visit to Yankee Ford, we were greeted by a young man who answered our questions, and provided us with assistance including a test drive. During our discussion of a purchase, the manager came over and talked with us about our trade-in and a possible "deal". He offered us a very good value for our trade-in, and we completed our purchase. The gentleman who handled the paperwork was thorough and pleasant. We were both very happy with the process, the deal, and the vehicle we purchased.

Looked for BMW Z4 and located one locally. Went in to look at it and take a test drive. Purchased the vehicle. When I went in to pay for it, I brought my sister whom had just mentioned she liked the looks of the Audi's. They had just brought one in, but needed detailing. When I brought her with me to pick up my vehicle, they had the Audi all detailed in the showroom right next to mine. She test drove and took it home. I also have someone else looking for a luxury auto, and will hook them up as well. I am taking mine in for an oil leak that I noticed on the garage floor, but hope something minor, but they are taking it in right away and I am certain they will take care of whatever it is. Hopefully just a minor seal as the car was sitting in the showroom.

Your typical- send the young/experienced sales person out who doesn't "know" anything and then bring them in to the closer- Marty who is trying to intimidate the buyer and asking the questions- "Will you do it at this.. " "will you buy it at .." before even qualifying what the buyer is even looking for. We wanted a certain car, then they bring in a whole different style, and make because they want to "move it." High pressure, wanting to do what is best for them not best for the customer. There was no sense of relationship building. Then they didn't want to give us the price of the car. They just wanted us to buy into what the payment was going to be. They only called us back after I told them we didn't want to do business with someone who wasn't going to supply a price for what we were buying. Bad customer service and trying to be secretive and dishonst won't get you far. Lose the intimadition tactics and start having real conversations and it might get you somewhere.

I had the worst car buying experience in my life. I have owned 12 vehicles over 28 years and worked with several new car dealers in the past. We were searching for a used car for our daughter. After having difficulty finding the right car, we decided to entertain a new car because the sale man said he had a car that met all of her requests ( features, interior color, exterior color, etc.). The salsman said we have the car for you from another dealer and could have it within a few days. We discussed rough price, down payment, etc. Everything was going smoothly and we left a $2000 down payment and received several phone calls on the status of delivery from another state. We agreed on a time to pick up the car, we asked for the interior and exterior to be simonized prior to picking up the car. The salesman said yes, it would be done. We got a phone call when the car was delivered at the dealership and were told it would be simonized and ready for our agreed upon pickup time. The day before we were to pick up the car, we got another call saying it was ready to go and simonized. The day of pick up, we get to the dealership and the car was there but the interior was tan instea of black as we were told originally. No one ever nmentioned that when they called us several times prior to pick up. My daughter did not like the car so we declined purchase...it was not the car we agreed on. There were no apologies from the salesman that it was a differnt care then he had explained. Since it was a Saturday, they could not give us the $2000 back. We did get the $2000 on Monday and purchased a car at another dealer who treated us great! Do not expect great customer service at Yankee Ford.
