Brought my Tacoma in for 15,000 oil change, and I was needed an Inspection. Took my truck in at the 11 o'clock appointment. After sitting there for 2 hours and having people come and go sitting by me in waiting room, Even one person that came after had the guy that waited on me come out and tell him it would be a little and it was, finally after 2 hours I went back to the same guy and asked when my truck would, he did a few things on the computer, and said let me go back and check. He came back and said they were looking at the hood latch. I had no problem with it. 20 min later he came and got me. I was in the process that day to buy the extended coverage on my truck and figured I would buy my tires and get my inspections there for the life of the truck. This is the 3rd time I was asked to send a review and never heard anything back from Scranton Toyota. And I just got done telling him about my Toyota, and he bought one a few months.

I found the Chevy Equinox that I wanted online so I called the dealership on a Tuesday. I talked and texted with Joe M. Jr. to negotiate a deal because I live 1 1/2hrs away from Scranton. He was VERY nice and I could tell he wanted to work with me as a customer, not just another sale. I saw pictures online, but it is hard to really see if there are small dents or scratches on the vehicle, so I asked Joe to tell me if there were any. He told me where the imperfections were over the phone. We came to an agreement and the next night my husband and I went to Scranton to drive the vehicle. We looked the Equinox over and the only dents I found were the ones he told me about. I was pleased at his honesty! We went in to sign the paperwork and we even got a lower payment than first worked out, without any more negotiation. All of the employees that we came in contact with at Toyota of Scraton (whether dealing with or just passing by) were very considerate and friendly! They respected our time (because we had another 1 1/2 to drive home) and that showed us we were more than just a sale; they cared about what we cared about. I am very pleased and I feel we got a good deal! Applause to you, Joe Jr. and Toyota of Scranton!

They did the job in a very reasonable amount of time. I told Matthew that I was going to Schiffs to shop while I waited. He offered shuttle service and I declined thinking it wasn't necessary. After having a difficult time crossing the street, I decided I would take the shuttle back. They came to get me right away and my car was ready when I got back. In about one hour, I got my car inspected and my grocery shopping done. Nice!

Good service as far as technical aspects go,but service reps are too few and overworked not allowing them to give a more personal touch to their service. I felt like I was just another faceless customer who had to be processed on their production line. I won't be back unless I need a repair that only Toyota can offer. Too impersonal for me and why not have complimentary coffee etc. The Dunkin Donuts franchise I'm sure brings in good rent but every other dealer has a waiting room with complimentary coffee etc. Also the TV volume is so loud in the waiting room that you have to go outside to hear your thoughts. Why does every customer have to be subjected to loud, mindless chatter for the two hours you wait for your car. They should at least provide you with earplugs to block out the useless banter. And the cost of my annual inspection was about $20 above local rates including other dealerships.

I've heard "no hassle buying experience" thrown around by dealer after dealer. But this is truly the case here. There was not a single ounce of pressure placed on us and we were treated with nothing but courtesy and respect. We actually stopped in by chance and honestly had little to no intention of buying a vehicle. But Joe was so nice, and so low pressure and the deal was SO good that we decided to buy on the spot! My parents were long-time buyers of Toyota vehicles ever since the dealership used to be called Gibbons Toyota back in the mid 90s. We even had our own salesman that we consulted with for years that was very friendly and was no pressure at all. So whenever we needed a new vehicle, we usually only went here and didn't even bother going anywhere else.At some point in time, the dealer name was changed to Toyota of Scranton. The first change we noticed was that most or all of the old sales staff was gone and it seems there's much more turnover than there used to be. The group of sales people that are there now seem to be much more higher pressure than the previous groups. Even still, I wanted a Toyota, so I decided to roll with it anyway.The sales procedure was fairly standard, but the sales rep didn't really seem to care one way or the other about you. There was some negotiating room, but it was like pulling teeth at times and the initial trade-in quote was well under what Edmunds listed it at. They still give you the scary electrical diagram from a car that looks 20 years old to try to get you to purchase the extended coverage. I declined, wrote a check for the amount I specified and was on my way.Where things went awry was when I got the car. As soon as I started pulling away, the low tire pressure light came on. No big deal, I thought. Maybe it just was sitting for a bit and deflated due to the cold weather. They filled it up and I was on my way.A week later, it came on again. I checked the tire itself and sure enough, there was a nail in it. I talked to the sales rep about it and instead of offering to help, he immediately blames me for it and says I must have ran over something. I pointed out to him about the previous incident I told him about and he suddenly remembered and offered to get it patched for free. Service was slow, but at least they fixed problem. I was annoyed though that there wasn't a point where the car was inspected for something like that before it was sold as it seems it should be part of a standard procedure.The problem with sales in this dealership is that their motto is these cars "practically sell themselves" (as one sales rep told me), so there's no incentive for them to care about you. There's definitely a lot of inventory to look at, but unless you want to feel like another number, I would look elsewhere. I'm sure not all the sales reps are bad people and they do allow you to test drive wherever you want (which is always a big bonus in my book), but I think the amount of cars they have to sell has taken away the personal relationships we used to have here. When my parents have to get new(er) cars, they will most likely be looking at another dealer.

I feel I got a good price when I bought my car but it went down hill from there. I got stuck waiting for hours when the deal was done before going back to sign on the dotted line. Later I was told that a boss wanted to talk to the paperwork guy so I was put on hold. The person preparing the paper work then told me the protection plan I bought would last one year less than I was told beforehand by the very same person. He failed to mentioned that the price did not change. I am still bothered that I did not speak up and cancel that, but I just wanted to get out of there by then. In the weeks afterwards I started getting paperwork and offers for the wrong car because someone messed up the paperwork. I had to speak to a manager before they finally corrected it. So, the price was good but the rest was horrible. I bought my car in September of 2015.

First negative review I have written about this dealership that is why I gave it 4 stars. Usually very good service. I had an appointment to have my car inspected. I was waiting and was told they would tell me when it was done or if there was a problem. After waiting an hour and a half I went to the desk to see what the hold up was. Person I was dealing with was not there. Another employee that I asked seemed to be annoyed with my request to know what was going on with my car but did eventually find the problem and took care of it in a pleasant manner. My car needed a part and I have to go back. I'm sure it didn't take an hour and a half to find this out someone just neglected to notify me in a timely manner which I really find annoying. Usually your service is much better than this. Hope I don't have to write a negative review when I return to get this repair done on my car or I will have to find another dealership. I had a slight issue with my cruise control. It blinked occasionally when driving at night. Bonnie Weber found a technical service bulletin for the repair ordered the part and had it installed. It only took an hour and they even washed my vehicle. You have to visit this dealership to believe it. The showroom and the service are incredible.

I do not feel that way with you. The shuttle service was a plus. I am a diabetic and needed to eat lunch so the shuttle took me there so I could eat and work until my car was ready. That is service. I also feel that the staff go out of their way to be very friendly. I had returned several days after my visit to have a new key synced with my car and several of the staff commented on seeing me last week. It felt part of the "family".P.S. About a year ago I received a notice of a pending recall on my 2010 Tacoma. The letter noted that the recall involved a fix for rear leaf springs that might break and possibly rupture the vehicle's fuel tank. The fix was not yet available and that I would be notified when a solution was reached.I received a letter about two months ago saying a fix had been developed and to call for an appointment. On March 21 I had my brand new Toyota Tacoma in for service for an oil leak. It was diagnosed as a front axle leak. I'm not sure that I buy that explanation because the oil was light in color and of a lower viscosity. The service department ordered a part which as of April 15 has not yet arrived. I'm not particularly happy with the response with ordering the replacement part, but that's probably a more of a function of Toyota and not the dealership. Still waiting to hear from the service department.

All I can say is stop in and take a look at the facility. Everything is state of the art. The employees dedication to the customer is second to none. I am on my 5 Toyota Vehicle. Each one I keep to around 80,000 miles. The vehicles have been great and I have not had an issue with any of them. I deal with Bonnie Weber and Brenda Willis and we have developed a great relationship over the years. Even the Sales Rep will greet me if he sees me in the service department to make sure everything is ok. My wife decided to purchase a vehicle from another dealership because she like the styling. The vehicle is fine but she totally misses the service she received from Toyota of Scranton. She can't wait to trade it in and get back to the Toyota Family.

We purchased a Toyota Corolla for my daughter Nov 2015 which she loved and it was hit while parked in our driveway. The car was a total loss. She was devastated. We went to Toyota to look at new cars and George Z the manager was absolutely wonderful. We dealt with George when purchasing the original car so asked for him. My daughter was crying telling him the story and showing him the pictures. He immediately had the salesman, Mark Thomas bring up an 2016 Corolla similar to the one she had, only a little better. She loved it and was happy again. We were able to get the car as soon as the ins. check came in. It was such a traumatic experience and I have to say the staff was so kind and went out of their way to help us in any way. We are so happy to be a part of the "Toyota Family" since that's exactly what it felt like. After having such a positive experience I will be returning very soon to purchase another Toyota for myself. After years of driving Chevys I want a Toyota. The quality and service cannot be compared.

We bought a new car here in January 2016. Our questions were not thoroughly answered and we bought a car that did not have the accessories that we needed. Our concerned were immediately addressed with the dealership which was not receptive. We let it go. At the end of February or early March, we called with concerns that we had not yet received our registration. We were told we would get it any day and they had had problems with their title employee who left them in the lurch. Continued follow up calls resulted in more "any day now" and passing the buck. One week before our temporary registration was about to run out, we were told they would only speak with the owner of the vehicle, When "the owner" called they were told that it was not the dealerships fault. It was PennDot. Follow up with PennDot was determined that no registration to date had ever been submitted. More calls to Toyota of Scranton was more of the same. Not their fault. No remedy, no recourse.

I've had a good and bad experience from service. Looks like the old service manger is not there and that might be the reason for improved service. The bad is in the past the service advisors were pushed to sell add on services that were total BS. The good is they seemed to have mostly stop this practice on people. The other bad is I came in for service for simple issue of a broken wire that I even told them where I thought where it was and I was right in the end. This repair was done after relay, computer parts that were needed. They thought they were smarter then a electrical engineer. I would fix it myself if I had the schematic of the wireing. In the end, they kind of made it right but left a bad taste. The good is the last two times I brought my car in were very positive experience where they listened to me and ended up with services done for free of charge under the service bulletin and were very up front about it. I think the service times are very good even if you have to wait a hour of two to repair an issue.

The service tech (tiffany) was very good and kept me informed. But I had asked about checking heating while dash was off for air bag and was told it would cost three hours to remove and check. But half that time was already done with removing dash to replace passenger airbag and unit is directly under it, was not happy with that.

I recently had my 2013 Tacoma in for routine service and 4 new tires. I called and scheduled my appointment, but was not asked what kind of tires I wanted. The person on the phone was a gentleman and seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone. When I arrived, I was taken care of by Brenda Willis. She called to see what tires were in stock, due to it not being ordered ahead. She found the exact tires I was hoping for and all was great from then on. Brenda and Bonnie Weber are always pleasant and professional, which is welcoming when they are most times the first employees I see when I enter. Fantastic job as always!!

Had a flat tire late Jan 2nd; did some online looking and called Parts early Monday AM. Wayne (parts dept) picked up; found an exact match, and could get it in-house in an hour. His installed-price was $20 lower than best online quote. Everything done by a little after 1PM - with no appointment! (Wayne did connect me with svc; no name, said they "had space, but might get busy later on" - I wanted to lock in a time, but they didn't offer; ???)Good to have a confident, well resourced team member in Wayne; when he picks up the call, you know help is on its way.

I did not have a service appointment and needed to take care of a recall repair, as my daughter would be returning to college with the car. My needs were cheerfully acomodated by service staff and the repair quickly made. I was very pleased. On previous visits service staff tried to sell unnecessary services and I lost all trust in your service department. That did not happen this time.

I just scheduled an oil change and tire rotation but they wanted $76. Way too high even with synthetic oil. Last time cost me much less. And the serviceman on the phone was very little help. It was like "can't pay, too bad." This is after buying 5 cars from them.

Great sales man. Chris Wagner. Nice guy. No pressure, very pleasant demeanor, and worked with me for a reasonable deal. But...Service is a joke. First "free" oil change, took me 4 trips for them to get it right. Didn't re install 4 or 5 simple bolts on front of my truck, they were just out of sight unless I felt or looked just under it. So I go back, and the tech looks shocked, wants to know where to get the bolts from, I said use the ones that you took out. This all happened the same day. First service EVER on my new truck. After that, I noticed bent plastic trim in front of my drivers front wheel. It didn't look right. After a week or so, I figured I'd look at the other side, sure enough, it looked right. The drivers side was de formed because they left one bolt in during the oil change, and left the front plastic trim hanging instead of removing, permanently deforming it. Trip number 3, go to dealership and report damage, order trim. Trip number 4, go to dealership and have new trim installed. 4 trips for one oil change ? Brand new truck ? You gotta be kidding me. It gets better, I get a call from customer service and simply tell them of my experience, and I certainly don't appreciate my time being wasted on such nonsensical mistakes. They are getting paid while I waste my time on days off. How can I trust anything they do and what a terrible 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th impression. The response was indifference. Next incident was for my "FREE" tire rotation. I marked each tire with large chalk as to where I wanted it. I said X the backs and move the fronts straight back. Work order stated to X the backs. Someone comes in to the fancy waiting room and says my truck is ready. I take one look and see they crossed both fronts and backs. I realize this service department is beyond hope, go home and rotate the tires myself. I'm done. It gets even better. A month or two later I get an email from Toyota of Scranton, asking me to fill out a review from an INDEPENDENT company. So I repeat this whole story and hit SUBMIT. Guess what ? My reply was that since my review was sub Parr, that the dealership would possibly contact me, and after that I'd still get to write a review. This was not disclosed to me until after I tried to submit a sub Paar review. I have not heard back from the review company, nor Toyota of Scranton on this issue. It's been about six months. It seems to me that as long as you don't check their work, they are more than happy to dance around and have fun at work. But God forbid you get aggravated at any incompetence or complete lack of pride, or waste of customer time. If you're happy everything is fine, if not, to xxxx with you. It's a corporate smokescreen, no accountability. I've noticed customer service has gone down the tubes maybe since the 90s or so, but this case stands out alone, far below and beyond any other experience I've had as the single most pathetic case of just not caring. Buy a new vehicle with your hard earned cash. Express discontent with their blatant disregard and lack of respect for customer after the sale. Then INDEPENDENT survey that only accepts 5 star ratings ?What more could you ask for ?

So much for a great buying experience. While Jeff was a good sales person, we really didn't want a different vehicle than the one we came to look at. It's just bothersome that we were ready to purchase but the dealer wasn't realistic in what they'd give us for our trade and what they would take for their vehicle. As I've seen this will only continue to sit on the lot and eventually they'll lower their price. Why not just lower the price, get it sold and out the door? I can only assume Jeff didn't need another sale at the end of the month.

I just leased my 2nd Rav4 from Toyota and while I like the car, I am unhappy with Toyota in general. I always get the 15,000 mile package for the term of my lease. I received a $450 invoice for the vehicle I turned in. It seems whoever wrote up the lease put down 12,000 miles and when signing all those papers pushed in front of me, I did not catch THEIR error!! No matter who I spoke to thus far, no one is willing to accept the mistake. While they smile and help you out, they are alienating me from the dealership because of this. I feel that Toyota of Scranton should pay for THEIR mistake and not me. This one is one them!!

I purchased my used 2010 Corolla back in 2012 after an accident where my car had been totaled. I didn't have much to put down, nor could I really afford much. The sales associate was mindful of that and didn't pressure me into purchasing something I couldn't afford. I really appreciated that. Since then I have religiously taken it back for almost all of the routine maintainance. I have taken it in unannounced for random mishaps (hitting tire tread on the highway..) and never once did they give me a problem. they put it up on the life and helped me out cable ties on it. when I had my accident the body shop kept me informed regularly and even let me come back and see the repairs. only once did I throw a fit about being charged for tightening the serpentine belt that they put on. in the end, they accepted responsibility and didn't charge me. I can't say enough about them. I feel comfortable walking in. every one has always been respectful, professional, and friendly. I even convinced my aunt to buy a car here. My only wish is that there used car section was a bit bigger and included older a few older toyotas, not just ones returned after a lease is up. other than that - I really can't complain. I didn't think it was possible to love a dealership as much as I love them. I won't ever buy a car anywhere else.

Went in for 10,000 mile service and complained of excessive tire noise, They did a guick check of alignment on the floor and said it was it specs. I questioned the bad tire wear and road noise and pull to the right ,service writer said there is nothing that was wrong. I asked if they took it on a road test, and they did not. Took it to a local shop and found wheel alignment out of spec . No more pull or tire noise. The local shop went the extra mile to fix my RAV4

My buying experience was stress free and the dealership staff were professional & courteous. The dealership was clean, offering bottled water, and if you're hungry there is actually a Dunkin Donuts inside the dealership. My only reasons I cannot give 5 stars is that the sales people tell you that any vehicle they sell that is equipped with Sirius/XM will receive 3 free months service. However, mine did not include the free 3 months, and post-sale they don't seem to want to talk to you. Over the course of a week I chatted and emailed, and was told someone would get back to me. Even an email to the sales director goes unanswered. So, overall they offer an easy buying experience but fail in the post-sale communication aspect.

We have a routine where they schedule our visit, greet us at the door, are well prepared to discuss the work that is needed and have us on our way in a matter of minutes. At time of pickup, they provide all of the paperwork, give explanation (in detail) of the service that was performed and ask if we have any questions before we prepare to leave. Is was quicker on this visit they did more than an oil change in the amount of time that it usually takes thme to do an oil change. I liked checking in and out in the garage there. It went much faster. In the past I have stood near the desk and it will take some time before anyone will assist you. She also fixed my last name. Brought my 2010 Tacoma in for it 50000 mile service; I purchased my truck new from Toyota of Scranton and all service needs up to this point have been performed solely by Toyota of Scranton - I wont let any other place touch it! Service each time varied from ok to Great so there so has not been consistently great everytime but I think that is due to how busy the service area is on any given day.Toyota of Scranton has a fantastic waiting area and usually the service is completed rather quickly. Basic service is a little pricey since my Tacoma isn't covered by Toyota Care anymore - wish basic service costs were covered longer but I still put my trust in Toyota of Scranton and really wouldn't ever hestitate to recommend them...

I made an appointment for a recall 6 weeks ahead of time. After waiting 1 1/2 hours they came out and said they could not do it. Reason being they didn't have the parts. Did they not know that when they called to confirm the appointment on the Friday before. Unacceptable. They wasted my time. Now again I have to waste my day off to have this fixed. Not that I have any faith in them. When I first bought my Yaris I sold two more for them. NEVER will I suggest Toyota of Scranton. Also they said I needed a new drive belt. I took it to my mechanic. I don't need a new belt.

Let me say first off, I have had many wonderful experiences with this dealership. I recently had some small damage to my drivers side door. My dealings with the repair persons were not up to I believe the dealerships "happy customers" standards. I believe the one person Lisa in this area was very fake and did not care about the person. She smiled at you while speaking very rude. I was told it would be a two day stay and it turned out to be four. When I called to ask if the car was ready she said she would call me when it was and she had no idea. At the time, I also had a service appointment scheduled. Everytime I asked her about the service she said she wasn't sure if it could or would be done because it was in her area. The question needed a yes or no answer. I hesitate to write this because I believe they did a wonderful job on the car and if I had to go back again I probably would, but, dealing with her was not pleasant at all. As far as the service, it was completed, I believe, as I never spoke with anyone and Lisa said when I asked her that yes it was completed.

I am always pleased when I bring in my 2000 Toyota Camry for service. From the time I pull into the service area to the paying of the bill, service, service, service, is always first on these peoples list. They open the door when you pull in, show you the way in, a person is always ready to set you up and then you can wait in the very comfortable waiting area. When they tell you it will take about an hour or an hour and a half, they are usually correct up to the minute. And the final gesture of service, you leave there with a freshly washed car!! I cannot express how wonderful it is for the service to be the same all the time---courteous and pleasant. If a problem shows up while they are working on the car, they will come and tell you what the problem is, how much it will cost and any additional time it will take for servicing. They are a 5 star dealership.

Jenna was amazing, she was very patient with us, we looked a lot of cars, I believe our experience started in August. We had 2 vehicles a Scion TC and a Hyundai Azera limited. And our goal was to find a vehicle that would combine both, the spaciousness of the back of the TC with the luxury of the Azera and a price we could afford. We found the perfect one, 2011 RAV 4. unfortunately 4 days later it died in the middle of the road, fortunately I was able to get it off the road. we work with Jenna and Marissa, had the car towed back to Toyota and they had a rental waiting for me, they fix the car and it was ready the next day. everyone was great! I'm so happy you asked for my opinion. I am extremely disappointed with Toyota. I am an older female on a fixed income. I bought my 2009 Corolla with the express reason of having it for many years. I am a low mileage driver. I decided on Toyota when I was buying a car because I've had Toyotas in the past and I was pleased with the quality. My 2009 Corolla was a HUGE disappointment to me. At approximately 16,000 the head gasket went on it. Shortly after that the entire front passenger seat needed to be replaced. At a routine oil change I was told I needed brakes to the tune of over $500. And at my last visit the VTI valve (I may have that wrong) needed to be replaced. At that time I immediately decided to get rid of the car. It has been a huge heartbreak and disappointment to me. It had roughly 22,000 miles on it. I wanted to have this car for at least another 5 to 6 years. But I could not take the thought of yet another thing going wrong with it. I will never buy another Toyota and I am passing the word around to family and friends to stay away from them. FYI - I even visited with your customer service person there to express my feelings. She is a lovely person but I got no results. I traded the Corolla and I now have an unexpected car payment for the next six years. Have only needed to take my car to Toyota of Scranton for a recall and oil change; however, their service is excellent. The waiting area is very comfortable and I don't mind waiting for my car there. Dan Passante is a fantastic salesman. While my wife and I were waiting for the paperwork on our Rav4 lease he asked my what type of car I might want. Within the hour a 2012 Tacoma came into the lot. His friendly no pressure attitude made it easy for me to consider buying a second vehicle that weekend. My wife is happy with her Rav4 and I'm loving my truck. The whole experience was great. This was the first time buying a new car in 30 years. I drove away feeling like I was listened to and not pressured. I have been a loyal Toyota fan for years. I started because of reliability and I only used to buy used cars. I'm afraid to buy anything else because they have been so good to me!It started with an ad on the Scranton Times website. I stopped in & met Sean Fischer, who wound up selling me a lease on a Camry, my first new car! I loved the Toyota Care and that service isn't every 3,000 miles anymore. Last month, right before my lease was going to be up, I decided I wanted a car with Bluetooth for safety reasons. An acquaintance died in a wreck while texting several years ago and I just got my first cell phone this year. I emailed Sean asking him what was around, traded a few more emails and calls, and wound up driving home my new Camry that day! I love the new design and the Bluetooth technology. My only complaint is that the voice recognition of the Toyota system is awful. I mean, embarrassingly bad. I am an avid iphone user and if there was a way to talk to Siri, all would be fine! But all I need to do is touch the button on my phone so it's not so bad. I wish Toyota would embrace Siri and Google Now and integrate. That was very disappointing. I boiught the car anyway b/c I love it though. A friend was shocked when I told him I didn't even test drive it! Sean told me he had the same model and that was good enough for me. I'm happy to say he's become a close personal friend of mine since, and I just saw him the day before yesterday. Also, thanks to Omar in finance and assistant sales manager Kevin Brzegowski who always takes great care of me!!

This was one of the best experience I had purchasing a used car from a big dealership. The salesman held the car for me all day without any asking for any commitment - stayed several hours late for me and did not leave until the transaction was complete. Everyone was very respectful and made every reasonable effort to get my business. There were no hidden charges at all - I was made aware of all fees before being asked to agree. Every effort was made to address any issues with the car I purchased before I even looked at it.Experience with the finance department was also painless and very detailed. Everything was clearly explained, no one was rushing even though the dealership had closed for the day. Will defiantly look at their inventory when I need another vehicle.There is nothing I can complain about this dealership even if I try :)

Brenda always takes care of me when I come in. She makes sure that I know what is going on with my car and if the car needs work they always ask me if I am okay with the price and the repairs that may need to be done. They're quick and they make sure every need and expectation is met. I have never had such great customer service with such polite and professional people. I always tell everyone I know to go to Toyota in Scranton because I know they will be just as happy as I was with my service. I will not trust another soul with my car other than Toyota Scranton. These people made our unexpected breakdown while on a trip a good thing. Best service, great communication. We were well taken care of! Even our dog Sunny was welcome! I must say that we had an excellent experience when we bought our used car from Toyota of Scranton. We liked them so much , we actually purchased 3 cars from them. However, once we had our Honda Ridgeline for one year, I went to have the car serviced whiched included rotating the tires.We were told, when we purchased the vehicle, Toyota of Scranton had put on new tires because they were safety minded as well as customer minded. When I took the Ridgeline to have it serviced and tires rotated, I was informed that the only new tires were the rear tires and the front tires were dry rotted and unsafe and needed to be replaced.I called the sales rep, Cathy K., and reached her voice mail. I also sent an email to the dealership, all without ever receiving a call back. I did finally get in touch with Cathy K and she told me she would talk to the sales manager and get back to me. That was over a week ago and again still no call back or response to my issue.So basically, Toyota of Scranton will buy you coffee, tell you everything you want to hear, but once the deal is done you are on your own. This is not what I would call Quality Customer Service. I do not thing Toyota of Scranton , along with a lot of sales companies, knows what TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE really is.I will not buy another car from Toyota of Scranton. Nor will I ever recommend them to any of my friends and family for a vehicle. Plain and simple, once they get your money, they are looking for their next sucker.

Worst experience of my life. Maybe if you buy a Toyota there you'll be ok but if you buy a used car made by another manufacturer once you sign on the dotted line they want nothing to do with you. Since day one (a month ago) of purchase I've been back 10 times since then and it has been filled with lies and broken promises. They want nothing to do with fixing the issue with this car that only has 20K miles on it.

I was several hours away from home and had a tire blow out on my 2012 Prius V and I was unable to locate my locking lug nut key.This service department had a flat bed out to pick me up in no time. They hunted down and had a matching replacement tire waiting when I arrived. Had the locking lug nut off and the tire replaced in no time and had me back on the road I'm just a couple of hours from my initial call.I would not hesitate to recommend this location and willing give them the highest of marks!

Brought my car in for a standard recall and when I picked it up it no longer ran properly. It took 3 weeks of no car and at least 7 different employees who all claimed to have no idea who I was or what happened before they finally corrected the error they had made. They only agreed to fix their mistake after I reported them to Toyota Corporate, BBB and the PA Attorney General's Office.

Our experience at Toyota can be summarized using the words knowledgeable, kind, ethical, and helpful. Our sales man Mark was always ready to go and knew everything about the Corolla and explained everything in detail on the test drive. They gave us a very fair price and were quick to draw up the paperwork and work with us to make sure everything was in order so we could take the car home that day. I spent 2 months looking at and pricing new 2014 Toyota Tacoma's and found Toyota of Scranton to be without a doubt the best/easiest dealership to work with...first getting internet pricing from Keven Spencer and having him keeping me in the loop during the process..... to walking onto the dealership lot for the first time to just look around and meeting George Zepherin....no "hard sell"...just let me look around and answered all my questions even though it was 90 degrees outside and we were out there looking at the Tacoma's for over an hour ... George was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the vehicles and what each one had to offer. When I came back the next week and took the truck for a test drive I decided on the one I wanted but I didn't like the rims...George said "no problem, we will get you one with the rims you want". When I came back in a few days later I dealt with Cathy Keohan and she was also very knowledgeable about all aspects of the Tacoma I was purchasing and answered all my questions. When it came time to sign all the paper work on another day it was Cathy's day off...George called her and she came down so she could go over the truck with me one more time and go over all the paperwork that had to be signed and made sure all my questions were answered....all on her day off! All in all a very easy process- much better than the other dealerships I checked with...by far.

Disappointed. After waiting 2 hours to get my oil changed with a scheduled appointment, I notice I have new scratches in my truck and my battery terminals are completely corroded. At each service appointment I ask them to fix the corrosion problem and it never gets resolved. Also, I have new scratches near on my front fender near the hood and down the side of the fender. It clearly looks like someone leaned against it and slid down it while the hood was open because there is no scratches on the hood. This happened on the opposite side in roughly the same area on an earlier service appointment. I notified the service department of it and nothing was done! Mind you I bought this truck brand new at this dealership.

He is truly a great employee and you are very lucky to have him!! The dealership overall if very good, which is why we came back when we were looking for another Toyota! While browsing the used car area of Toyota of Scranton, I was approached by sales person, Heidi Patten. I expressed my interest in a 2002 Subaru Outback which had just been put on the lot. We had a pleasant opening and introductory conversation and I felt at ease with her immediately. I explained my reasons for my need to purchase a reliable used vehicle at a fair price. She listened attentively and answered honestly to my questions regarding this particular car. Her low-pressure demeanor made me feel that I could trust her and I knew I had made the right choice by dealing with her. The entire purchase process was smooth. The employees inside were friendly and I met a few who just stopped by Heidi's desk to say hello.After the sale, I had an issue and Heidi was very accommodating. My satisfaction was a priority for her. She went as far as to contact me a couple of days after the sale to see if I was happy with my purchase. Her professionalism from our first meeting through her following up days later spoke volumes about her character and her customer service skills. I've always had a good experience at this dealership, and this night was even better. We happened to show up on the same night as the Toyota Customer Appreciation dinner and Mark gave us the dinner too! All of the staff was very friendly and eager to help; it was a very easy-going, relaxed atmosphere, very bright and clean too. Even though we didn't arrive until after 6:30pm, Mark and Omir stayed past 10pm, to finish the paperwork with no complaints, and we were able to drive our new Prius home that night! We love our Prius, and will definitely be back someday when I'm ready for something new... I'm very content with my 2010 Rav for now :-)

Kevin met me as soon as I parked the car. Since this was a recall visit, he explained exactly what needed to be done and how it would be accomplished. I also told him there was a problem with my tire pressure, one tire was lower than the rest. He asked me if I needed a shuttle, which I refused, and then led me to the waiting area. My car was done in the time that Kevin told me it would be. Kevin also explained that when the winter tires were replaced by the summer tires, the seal was not right. He told me that it was now fixed. There was no charge for the visit, and Kevin had explained everything that was done in terms that I understood. He was courteous, and personable. We have had Toyota's from Scranton, since 2000. This is one of the best service experiences I have had there. I felt comfortable that the service done was completed as needed, and my tires are fine also. I would personally recommend Kevin to my Toyota friends, as I am sure that the service needed will be completed as promised.

I recently purchased a new Prius from Mr. Thomas. He was extremely, friendly, patient and professional. Buying a car from him was actually a pleasant experience. He took the time to make sure we were comfortable with our new car and made sure all our questions were answered to our complete satisfaction. Mr. Gatto, the sales manager, was also very kind and solicitous. He stopped by several times during the process to speak with both myself and my wife. He seemed genuinely interested in the sale and how we felt about it. Both of these gentlemen were truly excellent and I can't say a bad thing about either of them. The only downside was the "finance professional", Mr. Garrippa. I found him to be condescending and disrespectful. A poor employee. When we explained we were not interested in the extended warranty, he seemed to take it as an almost personal affront. I have awarded overall high marks due to the fact that the professionalism and courtesy of Mr. Thomas and Mr. Gatto, in my mind, far outweighed the ham-handed and oafish behavior of Mr. Garrippa.

I have been waiting for an opportunity to voice my concerns about my car. This is not in any way a reflection of the dealership. I have 2009 Corolla which I purchased prior to my retirement. My intention was to have this car for many years to come. My last car was a Saturn which I had for 13 years. I put very little mileage on a car but I want a dependable car. I had looked at Toyotas and Nissans and I decided on the Toyota. I have had both Toyota and Nissans in the past. I love the car but I don't like the problems I am having with it. It has already needed the head gasket replaced and some very expensive mechanism in the front seat. I am now retired and I wanted a reliable car with low maintenance. I am so extremely disappointed in Toyota. I am considering trading it after my extended warranty expires, something I did not want to do. I wanted to have this car for as long as I had my prior cars. Overall, I really love my car, but not the problems it has. I'm very disappointed.Please know that I received very good service. Very prompt, very courteous.

I brought my car in for service after an accident. The car was fixed at an auto body shop, but the seat belt/airbag light would not shut off and the center arm console was not secure--it wobbled after the accident. The service tech fixed the air bag/seat belt lights and alarm, but did not fix the arm console and gave me one more issue: Now there was a rattle in the dashboard. The tech also said that he would fix the driver side floor mat that had broken hooks to keep it in place, but when I got my car back they were not fixed. This is still creating a driving safety hazard. The service center did not know what they were doing at all. When I got there I waited on one line and then when I was finally seen, I was told I had to go to another (auto body) person. I waited in front of her desk for quite a while as she did some paperwork and ignored me. When she was finally finished, she said I was in the wrong place and sent me back to the original person I waited for.Kevin was rude and needs to learn the concept of "the customer is always right." At least when the customer is expressing an opinion that is completely irrelevant to the car service. I expressed my dismay that most car service centers offered their customers free coffee, but this place had a Dunkin' Donuts. Kevin seemed to take it personally that I commented on this and defended the dealership as though he owned it. It was completely unnecessary and only compounded my bad service experience making me feel unvalued as a customer.I will never go back to this Toyota dealer and will not recommend it. I mentioned this on several social networking sites while I was still there and also several times since then.

Reminded me to empty console which I did forget. Paperwork and car ready at time he said. Instructed me how to use controls,etc. inside car. I went into this buying a used car experience thinking it was going to be horrible as all my car purchases have been in the past. I was greeted on a Wednesday evening by Andrew Hatfield and he was very nice and comforting. Told him what we were looking for an was very accommodating. We drove a few cars on Wednesday but then Andy told us there was a 2011 Toyota Venza that was in the back that was not even detailed yet. We were able to come back Saturday to test drive and loved it. I had a price that I wanted to get for my Trade In and also a Price I wanted to pay for a vehicle. Bought a precertified rav4. should have been better prepared for negotiations. Also, soon after I discovered an intermittent noise. they replaced the brake shims but this did not fix the noise. The service manager rode with me twice but was not able to replicate it and still do not have it patterned out. It only happens once in a while but is very annoying (and concerning) when it does. after almost 2 months and 4 visits it is still there.

Had new tires mounted prior to winter (the buy 3 get 1 free sale); I was allowed to delay the 4 wheel alignment. Came back in a month later for alignment and inspection, and they let me know that the inspection I had planned concurrently was actually a little early (my error) - they technically could do it, but it would short the duration on the old sticker. Since I'd be back soon enough for a routine service interval, and they didn't just go and do the unnecessary work, the heads up was appreciated. This is one of the many benefits of Toyota Scranton - they give you flexibility and options, and perform as true advisors during sales AND service.

I was paired up with a seasoned salesperson, Carl Jenkins, who did not try to sell me anything other than what my budget could afford. I was clear about what I could afford, and Carl was clear about the vehicles available to meet my budget. Furthermore, the whole process took only 2 hours. Been buying a new Toyota for the past 3 yrs. This year went in sept. to toyota of Scranton thinking I might get a better deal, was offered same deal as motor world but a free bug shield was added. The truck I wanted wasn't in stock, was told to come back the following Friday to pick it up, however when I got there it wasn't the color I ordered, the salesman never called to say it was the wrong color, but he did take $500 off the final price. Once again was told to come back the following week, which I did since I didn't get any call, went again with no truck there, week after week same story, he then said how sorry he was and would do the truck up nice for me to make up for everything, bug shield, vent visors, and all weather floor mats. Finally after a few more weeks I got a call to come pick it up. The truck had the bug shield and nothing else, was told to they would be in on Tuesday. A month later called and left messages. No return calls. Called customer service and spoke to Mary Jo Preno,who told me she would look into it and call me back. Called her again a week later and left another message haven't heard back from anybody there. Will never buy or recommend any person to buy from that dealer, they make all kinds of promises until your purchase is made, then you never hear from them again.

I got an upgrade to the Rav4 LXE, terrific price and extra package free including Weather Tech mats and cargo holders because my 2011 mats would not fit. Doug went above and beyond trying to keep me within the price and monthly payment I could afford. The sales staff were extremely helpful. They answered questions quickly, and explained everything thoroughly. There were no gimmicks. very straight forward and a pleasure to deal with. This was probably my best car buying experience ever!

I generally don't get excited by cars, I buy used junk and drive it til it dies. I recently leased a 20`13 camry because two of my junks wouldn't pass inspection. My wife was tired of junk and wanted a Subaru. I ended up with the camry by accident. The Subaru people weren't too interested in selling me a car and for the amount I wanted to spend they didn't offer much.I stopped by Toyota as it was on the way home and Teresa was just fantastic ! I was surprised at what we could afford and picked up my wife when she got out of work and the next thing you know we had a new car to drive at an affordable price.We took the camry in for it's 5000 mile service and while I was dropping it off my wife and Teresa were looking at new pick up trucks.One hour later we drove off with a brand new Tundra at a pretty good price too. I love our Toyotas but think I am going to have to stay away from Teresa. Two visits, two new vehicles, she is a nice lady but my pocket book can't stand any more!Everybody we have dealt with has been friendly, courteous and very helpful.Doing business there is a pleasurable experience. Who would think that was possible at a car dealership?

Doug was very helpful. We knew the car we wanted, he brought it to the front for us to take a short test drive. We decided we wanted the car. I think the process was a little long it took us over 4 hours to get the car. Doug would leave a lot. That is nice, it gives people a chance to discuss options, but I think Doug left too frequently and too long. It didn't seem that he left because of issues we had, but rather things he had to do. Other than the long wait, we were very satisfied with the over all experience.

This is the 2nd FJ Cruiser I purchased from Toyota of Scranton.. Everyone of the associates are very friendly.. I went back to the same sales rep, which was Taryn Burns...She is one of your best sales reps..She always gets the job done..I had a few problems after purchasing my FJ, and Taryn was right on the problems...If I was ever gonna purchase another toyota I would most certain go back and see Taryn..Toyota of Scranton is very lucky to have Taryn on there staff...She is one of a kind...

I was a first timer buying a brand new car and mark helped me incredibly! He made my experience fun! Exciting! He actually listened to what I was interested in a car. I originally wanted a scion tc but it was a little noisy for me. He actually listened and was extremely patient with me! I Absolutley loved my experience!!! I purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry SE on 10/31/13 and I worked with salesman Casey Jones. This is the second time that I worked with him, he also assisted my husband with the purchase of his Toyota Tundra. He is a great person to work with and is willing to help you making driving away in a new vehicle possible. He truly made it a painless process. He was able to text me pictures of the remaining 2013 vehicles on the lot and even worked prices on some 2014, but in the end he was right the deals were better on the 2013. I came to the dealership not even thinking about trading my vehicle and saw the Rav4 and wanted it, no test drive or anything my girlfriend had hers with over250,000 miles and it still ran like the day she bought it, then I saw James asked about the vehicle and we purchased it, James was detail oriented walked us thru the entire process and operation of it along with all of the safety features it had to offer. Then came Angelo in Finance I can't say enough about him, Amanda thanks for telling us about Toyota and. James awesome salesman!!!!!! Toyota of Scranton you have a class act of people working for dealership. it didn't matter James was our salesman ALL of your staff were GREAT and smiling and helpful!!!!!! While purchasing our vehicle we heard a story about a woman in a terrible crash and it was a Toyota that saved her life, right then and there my husband knew I would be safe and you have the data to back it. Had a fantastic experience at Toyota Scion of Scranton. Andrew Hatfield, our salesman, was absolutely wonderful. He was so helpful the day we looked at our new Scion and test drove it. I picked up my new car today and it was perfectly detailed and clean and had a full tank of gas. Andrew was so helpful once again and went above and beyond. While we waited for the finance dept to finish my paperwork, we went out to the car and he set up my Bluetooth in the car to my phone and got my iPod set up also. I'd definitely recommend this dealership.

My wife and I stoppped by one Sunday afternoon to check out some pre-owned Camrys they had advertised on their website. After finding one we were interested in, I contacted them via an online inquiry on Sunday night. Sue Krisanda responded promptly Monday morning and I set up an appointment with James Hazen for Monday evening. When I arrived, I was greeted by James and he brought the car around and gave me plenty of time to look it over and answered any questions I had. After a test drive, we quickly agreed on a price without any of the back and forth Sales Manager games you often get at other dealers. We started all the paperwork and set up a Saturday delivery. Even though we were buying form out of state (NY), they handled all the NY sales tax and registration fees for us. So, that saved us a trip to the DMV, which was very nice.The Saturday delivery went smoothly. The car was ready and had the desired accessories installed. The only issue was the body shop was not able to remove a couple of the larger scratches that the car had on it. I was a little disappointed with that, as I was able to remove the scratches myself with some finishing compound and 45 minutes of elbow grease. A half-way decent body shop person should have been able to buff them out in 15 minutes. So, I'm not sure what the issue was there. Anyway, it was easier to deal with the scratches myself, than postpone delivery and have to make another 3 hour round trip to pick up the car at a later date.After we finished our financing paperwork, James gave my wife an overview of how things operated on the car and synced up her phone for her. After that, we were on our way back to NY.Overall, this was the easiest, most relaxed car buying experience I'v ever had. I usually stay away from larger dealers due to the high pressure tactics they tend to use. That was not the case here - absolutely no pressure at all. James was a pleasure to deal with. Very low-key and knowledgable about his product. My wife loves her almost new Camry and we'd highly recommend Toyota/Scion of Scanton to anyone.
