My recent purchase at Toyota of Des Moines was fantastic! Let's face it buying a car flat out sucks! The level of stress it causes is crazy, most dealerships I have been to in the past don't seem to care about that. I decided to look on the Toyota of Des Moines web site to see what they had to offer and a chat window opened asking if I would like to talk to a salesman, here we go I thought. Well this is when my great service began all my questions were promptly answered, I was in shock! Every other dealer I had tried to talk to prior to going into the dealership would only say to me well you will just have to come in and we can discuss it. Fast forward to Friday evening I went to the dealership to test drive the car, it was all about how I felt and what I thought never was anything pushed down my throat this continued through the closing of the sale it was all so relaxed and no where near high pressure. Now I have a new Toyota Highlander that I love!

Overall, the buying experience with my salesperson and the dealership was what I expected. I am typically an informed buyer and do my homework on the Internet looking at the dealership's website first which is why I decided to even change vehicles. With the end of the year models being discounted by the manufacturer in addition to the dealership, I decide to consider trading. I dealt with my salesperson a few weeks earlier when my brother was in town looking for a used vehicle. My sales person dealt well with allowing time to make a decision between two different models and provided good input at the appropriate time. The only thing is that it seems to take a long time once a decision is made to buy and considering all the information that is seemingly being put into the computer, I thought the paperwork should be faster. However, that seems to be the norm except for one dealership I purchased from over the Internet before arriving. I have purchased other vehicles primarily online and would have done this, but I felt that day like going to the dealership since the car was for my spouse. I am typically not a big negotiator but won't shy away from it. I prefer to "get to the bottom line" quickly once I make a decision to buy. I felt the decision to accept an offer did take a little longer than necessary, but each sales manager has his own style. I also felt the estimate of my trade should have been done earlier in the buying process.

From Bob Link to Dallas Buck to Rob Bierma. they were all very polite, answered all my questions, worked with me to get me the best deal on my new Highlander and went out of their way to thank me for my purchase. We were in the Des Moines area looking at Subarus. Being not completely satisfied, we drove to the Toyota dealership just to see what was on the lot and in our price range. (HUGE selection!) We've owned several Toyotas in the past so were well aware of the reputation/reliability of the brand. We were walk-in customers and Todd greeted us right away and treated us like he had dealt with us before and was very knowledgeable and helpful in our search for the right vehicle. We settled on a 2017 RAV4. We had a Toyota Corolla XRS trade-in ready to discuss a deal. We got a great deal and thorough walk-through of the vehicle and its accessories (i.e. Bluetooth, etc.). The Customer Service is excellent! The ride home was smooth and comfortable. We got a call from the dealership the next day to ensure all was well with the vehicle and our purchasing experience. It seems that once you're a Toyota owner, always a Toyota owner.

We already had a Toyota to trade in so we new the quality of the product. Therefore the sales team and dealership was most prominent in the experience. We found the dealership and sales staff to all be top shelf. From walking in the door and greeting staff to Roland Pappoe,our salesman, the finance and delivery staff all to be professionally friendly and knowledgeable about the car and and any features questions we had. While they were there to sell cars, they were not pushy and aggressive. In particular Roland was adept at "reading" body language and stepped back or stepped up as appropriate. That is something that can be very irritating to "me" the buyer when sales staff are aggressive and "in your face". That ability is a true sign of a professional and is difficult to achieve.

Last year we bought a used car w/Bob and everything went perfect. This year, we decided we wanted to upgrade to a bigger SUV. We had our eye on the Highlander and Bob was able to narrow it down to the model and exact color (interior and exterior) we wanted. My work schedule is crazy so I was there pretty late. The first night we test drove the car and decided it's the one we wanted so Bob even stayed late with us to finish all the paper work. The next day he was off, but even offered to come in on his day off the help me w/other paper work we needed to fill out. The next night, I wasn't in until 7:15 - but we were in and out with our brand new Highlander within 45 minutes! Yes, the overall process was spread across a matter of 3 days, but with my time being limited - they were very understanding. We are so happy with our purchase! I came from Ottumwa to purchase it and wanted to try the service department but asked about an appointment for next Saturday but was told I would have to drop it off and they would work it in. I was needing to (not wanting to) trade my black Challenger rt hemi 6 speed on the floor in because I can no longer handle the clutch. From the moment we were greeted we were treated as guests not victims of a car sale. Our greeter asked questions about our visit to properly assist us in our search for a car. He took us all over the lot because we had an extensive list. I had driven our current vehicle for twelve or so years. So even the used vehicles were extremely different with huge updates. Joshua our sales person was not pushy or insulting. We truly felt he was looking out for our best interest and giving us the best car possible for what we wanted to pay. After a brief period of questions regarding financing we were ready to be on our way to consider our choices. We were able to leave the dealership with his card in hand without an insistence that we be interviewed by a closer that had happened at another dealership the day before that totally turned us off. I wouldn't even have gone looking again and driven my vehicle till it fell apart before enduring the catastrophe from the day before. Upon my partners encouragement we traveled to the dealer and I found I was unable to leave without the used car I had test driven. Reviewing the cars again that RAV4 stood out. That was my first drive in a Toyota. It was a superior vehicle. Although it was a 2013 it looked and drove like a fresh out of the showroom car. It has heated leather seats, backup camera with blind spot mirrors, fold down rear seats, great sounding sound system that Bluetoothed to my phone for hands free driving. At the point I made the offer I didn't realize the push button lift gate option it had also. My seat could be conformed to perfectly make my drive effortless, and remembered me as driver 1. I wouldn't have changed anything about the car. You see I could buy this car with all the features I was looking for at a price I could afford and be happy with. All the safety checks had been made for me even new tires on the car. I would have had to forget the heated leather seats in buying new. This car was a true bargain.So yes I recommend this dealership. I am not afraid of being attached and held hostage. Best car buying experience ever. Go see Joshua Harris at Toyota of Des Moines.

I first talked to my sales rep a few months prior to purchase. I had a laundry list of questions that the internet did not have the answers I wanted. Dustin didn't have the answers off hand, but was able to secure the correct information within a few days. Our sales person David Lovan was extremely professional. He listened to me regarding what I was looking for and what I wanted to spend. He sent me info on both used and new that met what I asked for. His knowledge was second to none and I did a lot of shopping of all makes. He could compare Toyota products to other make/modes quickly and accurately. Lastly, he was not pushy. He let me take my time, checking on me periodically. Dallas Buck did the paperwork. He did a great job of explaining the lease detail, which was important to me because I had not leased before. Rob Hutt is not your typical 'car salesman'. He quickly came with us for a relaxed test drive, calmed our warranty related worries, sped up our 'negotiations' with the finance manager (that was amazing!), got our papers faxed to the bank promptly and made himself easily available on the phone to deal with our needs. After the paperwork was finished with the sales manager the same evening, he personally saw to it that we drove off happily with our 'new' car even if he had a family function to attend in a short while. We will buy from him again, Guaranteed.However, the business manage named Pete, was poorly organized and kept making errors on our paper work, causing us to be in his office for twice as long as working with Ryan, our usual business guy. The young man who showed us around our car did not put our books in the our car, so now we will have to drive 100 miles to get them. We test drove the vehicle we were interested in, and there was no sales pressure put on us to purchase quickly, just a pleasant tour of the vehicle and it's features. We then utilized the Internet to find the best price on the same vehicle in a 300 mile radius and asked Toyota of Des Moines to beat the price.They did! When we went into the dealership office, Ken worked diligently to get our new RAV4 cleaned up and ready so we didn't have to make a return trip. After being forced into a car by Shottenkirk Toyota of Quincy that we did not want, Toyota of Des Moines jumped through hoops to fix Shottenkirk Toyota of Quincy's mistake. Shottenkirk Toyota of Quincy almost caused us to give up on Toyota because of their horrible and crooked culture there. This is the 3rd car I've purchased from Toyota of Des Moines and the sales team and service just keeps getting better! As a woman, you go into a car dealership thinking they will take advantage of you or think you don't care/understand, but this has NEVER been the case. I've have always had great luck with service on my vehicle and the sales team was very good at only showing me cars in my price range and working to get me the best deal. We were looking to upgrade to something bigger for our family vehicle. Bob Link helped us determine which vehicle was most practical for the ways we were going to be using it. He took the time to let us test drive the Highlander, talk about what we could afford, and then choose between all of the options available. We had gone in with the expectation to buy, but he talked us through the leasing options and got us a great deal that we feel very comfortable with. Overall, we had a very positive experience and are absolutely loving the Highlander that we drove off the lot!

Shane contacted me via email about a car I had looked at on their website. I replied back saying I'd come in to look at it around a certain time, so didn't really set up an appoint. Just so happened that I said I'd come in during one of their meetings. The lady at the desk had no issue of pulling him out of the meeting even though I said I was fine just walking around the lot to find the car and that I didn't actually have an appointment.During the test drive there was no set route or time limit. Which I did appreciate but didn't abuse.They looked at my trade in and gave (to me at least) a far value and also came back with a price well below what was posted on the internet. Even the loan for the care came in lower then what I had found on the internet before going in.There where some issues with the car that we actually didn't hash out. The windshield had a crack spidering out from the rearview mirror and one of the back doors wouldn't open. But after signing pretty much all the paperwork for the loan he swung in and said they would be getting those things fixed. Which they did at no extra charge....for things that in my mind they could have said we didn't negotiate that and you bought it as is. So that was great.But for full disclosure I did buy a used VW Jetta TDI from them. It hadn't been on their lot for long as it wasn't there less then a month ago. As of this writing VW hasn't announced their fix for the emission issues with this vehicle so I do not know if this played an influence on anything or not.All being said things went so well I feel a little guilty not buying buying a Toyota and several years from now when I need another vehicle this experience will have me looking at this dealership again.

From the first welcome through each step of the way I was pleased with the quality of the staff, Mr. Bob Staley spent a lot of time with us both explaining things and listening to our questions. His memory from several years ago when my husband purchased a Toyota Prius with his help, was remarkable. He remembered that a few years ago we'd said we might be interested in a Prius C (I'd seen one I really liked in a parking lot near where we live), called us about one a year or two ago and the timing was right, but his call this time, mentioning the availability two used Prius-Cs was right on time and he had exactly the right car for me. The gentleman who explained the additional charges, and took our check in payment was also extremely patient and knowledge. When we came back to pick up floor mats we'd ordered, there was some confusion on my husband's part and I was really impressed with the patience and diplomacy of the woman in Parts who helped us get things cleared up so calmly and wisely. Before we left we connected with Faraz Asad, someone my husband knew from his previous purchase and he took some extra time to make sure we had the copies of the papers we needed/wanted, including a receipt stamped Paid, that my husband wanted. I am sorry that I do not remember the names of all these people. Our years with getting service for our other Prius have left us with confidence in the knowledge and skills of the service staff, as well as appreciation of the congeniality and patience of the other staff we have dealt with. Now, as the primary drive of the Prius-C I am delighted to have this car--in the color I love, no less-- and grateful to all who contributed to this.

My husband and I took our 2012 Corolla S in for it's routine servicing on Feb. 23, 2016. Wishing we could afford to buy a 2016. but knowing it was probably not going to be possible. While we waited for our car to be serviced, we walked the lot dreaming. Soon Ken Bright, our dealer we purchased our 2012 through recognized us and came to say hi. We have crunched the numbers in the past, and wasn't able to make it affordable. He told us they were offering zero interest. Which was expiring in four days. He asked what we owed on our car. We had about a year left on it. So, once again we went in and crunched the numbers. We could not believe the deal Ken got for us. He gave us the maximum blue book price, plus and additional 500.00 because we had the car undercoated. He gave us credit for the extended warranty we still had left. Then we selected an LE instead of the S we currently drove. Which only raised our payment around 28.00 (not counting the insurance increase) a month to drive a 2016. We luv ken. We never feel pressured or hustled when we deal with him.

Ken Bright is one of the best sales men. We made him work to show us the Rav we bought. Ken showed us many colors w/ options. He was patient with us and always laughed at our silly sayings. We bought our Prius 9 yrs ago from Ken and we were so happy to have him sell us our New Rav 4. I preferred getting a Toyota but was prepared to shop around if need be to ensure I did what was best for me . Steve H. was great. We had communicated the night before and he knew I was coming and greeted me within a minute of my arrival. Everything went fairly smooth and I didn't need to look elsewhere. Felt I received a fair deal on the vehicle I purchased. Steve was genuine and I appreciated that. Meeting with the Finance Manager was a breeze as well and I even purchased the Wrap warranty for a price I felt was right for the peace of mind it will provide.The facilities are nice and clean. Free coffee. Everyone seemed friendly. They even went the extra step to follow me home in the shuttle so they could bring me back and I could drive my other vehicle home. Was really glad they did that as it saved me from having to figure out how to get two vehicles home.I'm happy with the purchase and was overall a fine experience.

My mother and father were long time customers of Toyota of DM. My mother bought another new Toyota about a year ago and after recently looking at the paperwork to see what she needed to be serviced, I also learned that she was sold about $3500 worth of extra warranties that she will never use as she puts very little miles on her car. The fact is that the warranty that comes with the car is for 3 years and covers the very things listed in the warranty. I know what they sold her is an extended warranty but the fact is that these warranties are for people who put a lot of miles on their cars. They took advantage of the fact that she was older and inexperienced at this kind of thing as my father has passed away. They didn't ask her any questions such as how many miles she puts on her car, etc. If they had, they would know that she didnt need these extended warranties. All they care about is getting their "commission" by selling these useless warranties. I will be watching them very closely from now on as far as how they service my mother's car. As a person who buys new cars about every 5 years, I know I will not be going to Toyota to look for my next new car. Also, you need to tell your employees to sign the paperwork with their full name in legible writing not just initials.

This dealership has it all. It is big, beautiful, well stocked and full of friendly people willing to help you for what ever you need. It is very clean and welcoming and a pleasure to visit. One thing that we really liked was that all sales people were dressed in suits and ties and white shirts. To us, that spells class and that is what is projected at this dealership. My wife and I came out to look at used cars and went home with a new car. We met Faraz as we looked around the used car lot and consequently ended up on the new car lot. After talking with Faraz for a while he ultimately came up with a deal on a new Camry that we couldn't refuse. Working with Faraz was probably the most satisfying experience buying a car that I have ever had. He is one on those guys that five minutes after you meet him you feel like you've know him for years; great guy. This is the second car we have purchased at this dealership and it won't be the last. I met with David Lovan while I was waiting for a recall fix on my 2007 Corolla. David wasn't high pressure, he took time to hear what I wanted and he talked to me like we were visiting not buying and selling. I talked to Wayne before I came into the dealership and we had a few things nailed down when I got there. The whole process took less than 2 hours - from seeing the car from the first time to driving away with a new Corolla! The whole team was efficient and knowledgeable. They offered me some options bu didn't push me. They were aware of what I wanted and made sure that I got that. The delivery team made sure that I was comfortable with all the features before I left. My sister bought a used Toyota from this dealership and the business manager Bruce Long sneaked in $4000 of worthless warranties and fabric protection (it has a leather interior). True, they did not hold a gun to her head and she signed the paperwork but she admitted she didn't look at the paperwork because she trusted them. She had recently purchase a used car at Wilson Toyota in Ames and they didn't pull any tricks like Toyota of Des Moines did (that car was totaled by a person on their cell phone after only three months). I think there are probably some good people at this dealership and there are some decent deals to be made but pay close attention to the business managers - particularly Bruce Long.

I currently do not live in Iowa but I was back for the weekend visiting family. I was driving an AWD vehicle (that I purchased out of state) that I was happy with but, I have had some bad experiences with the dealership I bought the car from which has made me not trust the integrity of the vehicle I bought! My parents have bought 4 cars from Toyota of Des Moines and have done nothing but rave about their experiences here and wanted to take me to look into something that was more reliable than what I was currently driving. From the moment we got out of the car we were engaged by a friendly "Hello" and "What can I help you with today?". This alone was unlike any greeting I had ever received at the last dealership I worked with. Faraz Asad patiently walked through my questions, concerns, needs and wants. I drove a car and was then offered what I considered a fair trade amount for the car I was driving. Especially considering that I found out through Toyota that my current car, which I bought as a certified pre-owned vehicle, had been in an accident before I purchased it, which is not something that the previous dealer disclosed. I excitedly walked away that day with a certified pre-owned Toyota and could not have felt better about my experience! Everything from the first hello to the financing was top notch and easy. This dealership operates with the highest level of integrity and truly cares about the customer experience!! Although I live out of state now I would come back to purchase my next vehicle as I was reminded of what "Iowa Nice" feels like! I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy new or used vehicles!

I called the dealership just to test drive a new Prius after having my old 2003 Prius for 7 years. I was immediately transferred to Todd who asked helpful questions up front to get me in the right Prius. When I arrived we took a short test drive in the red one which I had requested on the phone. He explained all the new features in great detail and when I fell in love he helped me to find a financing solution that worked best for me. Bruce in financing was great too. Took great care in detailing the lease to me since I hadn't done one before. I only wish the delivery coordinator had been a little bit slower when discussing new features with me at pick up. My wife and I just purchased a new RAV4 and not only do we absolutely love the car but we also loved the experience! Heather (online sales manager) made the entire purchase very easy by handling our trade evaluation, finance and payment options, credit apps., etc...all through text and email to keep the transaction hassle free, which was very important to us as having 2 young kids makes sitting at a dealership for long periods of time difficult. All in all when we went to the dealership to finalize it took less then 40 min before leaving in the car as Ryan in finance was exceptionally quick and friendly as well. We will most certainly be back!

I had the best car buying experience with my 2016 Prius at Toyota of Des Moines. It was one of the first new models to come off the truck from overseas and was ordered through an online relationship with Shane Siegle. Shane never let more than 30 minutes pass to respond to my questions or request and he came through on every issue we needed to deal with. Picking up my new Prius yesterday was the smoothest experience I've had a dealership. And, since this was my third Prius, I have used their Service Department for the past several years. I went in randomly on Tuesday because of A commercial I had seen on television. I went in and was directed to work with Joshua. He took the time to first listen to me and what I wanted with a vehicle. I told him price range I told him what I was looking for and that I was very busy because of caucus and did not have a lot of time. Knowing that Joshua was very knowledgeable with his inventory and was able to direct me to 3 to 5 choices one of which was the vehicle I purchased. We had been thinking about replacing our 2005 Honda Pilot for about 8 months, but were not 100% sure we wanted to get another SUV or something a little smaller. We knew Toyota cars were rated very well in Consumer Reports magazines, so we arranged a test drive online. We met Steve Henigan and he went through all the features of the interior and then we had our test drive. The car was wonderful- roomy but not too big, lots of features that our old vehicle did not have. With our Team National membership we were very pleased with the price and decided to buy! We picked up the new car one week later. Everyone was really nice and pleasant to work with; no one made us feel rushed; Steve even drove us around the lot to check out all the other colors to make sure we were happy with our choice. My husband and I have driven Chevys exclusively for the past decade. When we were in the market for a new car, we found ourselves looking at hybrids which took led us to Toyota of Des Moines. We found a car online on Sunday, test drove it on Monday, and they held the car till we were able to pick it up on Saturday. From trade-in to titling, it was an excellent customer service experience. The employees we worked with answered all of our questions and at no point did we feel pressured or pushed into buying something we didn't want. We felt valued as customers, not like a couple of walking dollar signs. Pete Dalamaggas in the finance department was especially wonderful to work with. Went in for a Prius. All this employee did was brag up the brand and himself. He showed me almost all of his sales and the names of people that bought from him as well. Also, showered me the mileage on the cars. I defiantly would not want people to know what I bought from the dealership. On the screens it showed what they paid, what they traded, how often they traded, and other personal information. It seemed like a total waste of my time speaking to this person. He didn't want to even show me a new car when i expressed interest. I will defiantly never do business here.

My wife and I recently traded in both our vehicles for leases. Heather was our sales person and did an outstanding job communicating with me via text prior to meeting, so she was ready with vehicles when we arrived. Heather was extremely patient with us, spending two and a half days either by texts or in-person, providing great customer service. She was also extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. We felt we received top dollar for our trade-ins and received appropriate discounts and incentives on our new leases. Our first night, we were at Toyota late and everyone from the Sales Manager to the Delivery department did an outstanding job making us feel comfortable and at ease waiting for my new Highlander XLE. I went from a Tundra to a Highlander. The Highlander is perfect for my towing needs with its towing enhancements. The next night we traded in my wife's Camry for a lease on new Camry V6 XLE. Technology has sure come a long ways. There was a slight hiccup in the delivery of our new Camry, but the Team at Toyota let us take home a loaner (Brand New Camry) while they inspected and prepared the car we wanted and insisted they deliver it to our home, 50 miles away. Everyone was friendly and smiles all the way. We first became customers of Toyota of Des Moines in 2013 and have gotten 4 vehicles from them. Toyota is the only Manufacturer of automobile we have driven for the last 9 years and we have never been disappointed. Toyota of Des Moines has an outstanding team all around! We will definitely be lifetime customers!

For the most part, a generally good experience. Sales service was good, but a little disorganized. Took my car registration to be copied for records, but forgot to give it back to me and I drove off without it - yikes! Also, when getting financial aspects set up, the person we worked with in regards to that wasn't very clear with what he was outlining (i.e. extended warranty and extra services). He was really working hard to just sell something and was a little rude.

William Godwin was my sales person, but not really. He was more of a personal adviser. He took his time to show me features and benefits of the vehicle I was interested in and was NOT pushy. In fact, I left after our first meeting and ruminated on what he had told me and then came back 5 days later to do the deal. I like this as they are human and do not try and trick you. If you have a problem, as I did with my lift gate, they say bring it out and find out why. They do not treat me like a dummy because I can not work all the bells and whistles on the new cars with blue tooth and computer apps. I appreciate theirpatience and attitude with me.

Thanks to Steve Henigan I have faith in car salesman once again. I have purchased many cars and can be somewhat picky. With all of that Steve treated me like a valued customer, even when purchasing a used vehicle. I also felt that he was so honest and refreshing to work with. Steve was always timely in dealing with us. I couldn't have asked for more perfect experience. I have to say even the gentleman who helped us with our pick up treated us with the utmost respect. He spent a good amount of time with us explaining features in our vehicle and asked if we had any questions. All in all I loved my experience at Toyota of Des Moines and will most definitely go back as well as tell others about what a great place it is!!!!

Toyota of Des Moines apparently has high expectations of its employees and of its business. On 28 Oct 2015, I acquired a 2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE AWD (2nd Rav4). I didn't hesitate on which dealership in my local area where I wanted to do business! On a very hot summer day back on 28 Aug 2013, I went to Toyota of Des Moines and was very impressed from the receptionist at the front desk to driving away in my new vehicle to the follow-up calls and e-mails. This first impression is why I will continue to use Toyota of Des Moines as my dealership of choice! Also, the reason why I have and will continue to recommend Toyota of Des Moines to friends, family, and colleagues. This experience resulted in no deviations from the high ratings I had for this place. As usual, I contacted Shane Siegle to help me decide on the options I had. He is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL in his knowledge, advice, and customer service skills. He is a big reason why I don't hesistate on using Toyota of Des Moines. Ryan McClanahan in finance is also, TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Very efficient and answered questions to my satisfaction. Finally, Mr. Bill Klomstad (Delivery Coordinator) is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. Again, it was 2013 when I found out there were dealerships that had a designated area and staff to explain the vehicle from front to back. Klomstad did his usual, TRULY EXCEPTIONAL job at explaining everything. I appreciate the way the Rav4 was prepared prior to my possession. Thank you for the picture in front of my new Rav4 that was sent to me by e-mail. A couple of days after the possession of my new Rav4, I received a follow-up call from Dot Ray (Customer Service Representative) mainly asking how things were going. Also, I received an e-mail from Shane Siegle. I know I will receive additional follow-up calls/e-mails in the future. This is really great customer service and has always proved to me that I wasn't just a number. After my first purchase, I wasn't expecting this from a large, busy dealership. I strongly feel (based upon experiences in the past with Toyota of Des Moines) they will do whatever they can to assist their customers. Until next time........ The sales person work hard in getting me out of my lease which I had for 18 months. The leased vehicle hard low mileage and wanted to purchase a car of my owe. They made several suggestions, lowered my monthly payments and feel comfortable in getting a used yet new car for myself. I have showed this new car off and others love the color and the many available accessories which came along with the car. It is a 2012 and has more than a brand new one.

This is our second purchase through Shane Siegle but he is not the only salesperson we have worked with as we have purchased other Totyotas from this dealership. We can't compare Toyota of Des Moines with others because we don't car ship anywhere else. Our experience at Toyota of Des Moines was the best. Mike was very attentive to our needs. He gave us all the time and space we needed to make a decision. No pressure, only a desire to answer our questions an concerns. Chad, the finance specialist worked hard to put the right deal together for us. The customer service department that showed us all the features of our new van was also very helpful and answered all of my wife's questions. The car was thoroughly cleaned before delivery. It was spotless. We will buy from Toyota of Des Moines again and will recommend Mike to our friends.

Shane our sales person was told that we don't mess around buying a car. He got the message. When he came back to us he had the best deal he could give us. It was fun purchasing a car from them. The finance person was quick and accurate. The gentleman that explain the features of the car (Bill) was very informative and new his stuff.The over all experience was fun like it should be when you buy a car.Once we went there for an oil change on our car that wasn't purchased there. The Service Manager told us we didn't need one yet, You can go 10,000 miles between oil changes on this car. He could have gone ahead and changed the oil and charged us and we would have been happy, but he didn't take advantage of us. So we never forgot this.

We spent months looking at compact SUVs from various manufacturers. Steve Henigan was most gracious in taking the time to answer all of our questions about the RAV4. After all that time looking and comparing vehicles, we put off our decision for a while. We later decided that a Sienna might suit our needs better. Steve was most patient in helping us decide on a trim level and expedited delivery. When we picked up the vehicle, Bill in the Delivery Group was very knowledgeable and thorough in going over all of the features and technology of our new van. Todd and the rest of the staff at the dealership were very helpful in answering all of my questions. However, my car has 5 chips in the hood that were either over looked during inspection they were hoping I didn't see and were going to sell it to me that way anyway. I also talked to Todd on the phone on a Thursday, after stopping to see him 3 times with multiple phone conversations. I understand that he sees and talks to many people, but to me, part of his job is remembering his clients. Particularly those purchase a $30,000 car from him. I told him on Thursday that I would like a spoiler on my car before I picked it up. This was labor day weekend and he said it would be done on Saturday. I debated on whether to stay in town because I really wanted to pick up my car but ended up going out of town for the weekend. By Saturday afternoon, I had not heard from him so I gave him a call. Not only was my car not ready, but he didn't even remember that he was supposed to put an aftermarket part on it or what that part was. Since I wasn't in town, this wasn't as big of a deal. However, if I would have stayed in town and my car was not finished, that might have been a deal breaker. This was not very professional and very disappointing. The other comment I would like to make is that you should not force or pressure your clients into giving you an "excellent" rating. I did already speak to someone on the phone about the car not being ready issue but that still doesn't give you the right to try to change my rating just for your better stats. Your rating went down specifically because I was asked 5 times to rate you "excellent" or not to fill out the survey. You need honest feedback to improve your employees, which I think could use just a bit of improvement, but who couldn't.
