Do not go here if you want to be welcomed by rude, unprofessional people. I went to the shop for a CPO VW Passat for my friend. After buying we found a crack on the windshield which they refused to fix. One of the worst dealers I have ever been to.

We purchased a Passat from a different dealer... I exchanged communications with several dealers and the best price and conditions were OFFERED by Nana Campos at Hayward VW... as i was ready to head there i exchanged some final texts about the price and overall vehicle characteristics... I did let them know that if I got there and it was anything other than what they had stated we would have an issue as they started squirming around... long story short they said that I needed additional qualifications for the deal they had sent me... that it would cost me 1,500 dollars more... Needless to say i went with another dealer who was open to negotiation and offered me a great deal on the passat... but most of all was HONEST...There should be a ZERO Star experience.... they earned it

These folks are dishonest, they get you in and then switch. I had the worst car buying experience with them. Walk away from this dealership.

Honestly, I love this place. I really do. Great people. The service is Y I choose to keep going back here. Better than the first vw i went to. They make me feel like they didn't want my business. Maybe Im just too sensative, but one of the online dealer guy was just so rude. N he hella send someone else to help us so we went to the Hayward vw. N even its hella late already, they stilk took their time on making it happen for me to drive my new car N offer a gas voulcher. They next two three days after I got my car, i wanna switch it But I guess it wouldn't be such great idea to do that. .. they said. But I appreciated that they take the time to sit down n break it down to me bout the facts and all. Though I really feel like they just hella being lazy to redo all paperworks. But after all, I got a unbeatable super duper deal with hella nice dark tinted window for hella good price also. It took kind of long for it to be ready, but hey, at least I get to drive a differnt car while my car is in the shop still.

I dodged the bullet on this one. Came in to VW Hayward to purchase a VW Jetta since they quoted me a great price during our initial email conversation. I was to meet with Yvette and set up a time to meet with her, but she was out of when I came in. Long story short, I was introduced to Crystal, who proceeded to take me to some Jerk in the finance department. This fellow did not introduce himself, did no say hello or shake my hands or do anything. His attitude was smug and just plain rude. He proceeded to change the whole deal and told me that the quoted price was for a cash transaction. I received the quote from VW Hayward through TrueCar. com and even spoke to them that the quoted price did not matter whether financed or a cash deal.Safe to say that I walked out of there and emailed Yvette the next day when she followed up. To my surprise, I got a call from the Jerk (Jay M.) ranting and raving on the phone with flying expletives and proceeded to try and harass me over the phone. I could not help but laugh when the Jerk was going through his tirade, what a Moron! So, do not buy from VW of Hayward. This person just proved himself to be a complete waste of time. If they ever comment on this post, they will likely try to turn the events around and tell you that they have a great BBB rating. But, do not believe it. They are not BBB accredited since I checked them out with BBB. I also filed a complaint with VW of America, you can find their number at the VW of America website. I will also file complaints with other accredited sites that I can find (Dealer rater, Edmunds, True Car, KBB, Yelp) to warn other potential customers about VW of Hayward. Believe the reviews, I'm surprised these people even got 1 star. They must pay people to write a good review for them...

I am not a fan of going to a dealership and spending the whole day there. This was not the case when I got there, I was not hassle at all, I was able to make my own choice, received more money as a trade in than what it was recommended by Kelly Blue Book. This has never happened before to me, I always have to fight to receive a good price. The amount of time was very good, considering that my case was not easy. Overall, I highly recommend coming in and finding all of this by yourself, do not take my word for it. You will see that everything I mentioned is true.

I live in Santa Clara and picked them, read and find out why. Best Experience, Very accommodating, made me feel very comfortable and informed every step of the way. Never felt pressured, actually felt I was in control. This is my first time buying a new car. And, the whole team came together to make me feel that I received a good value and I was making a good decision in the end. In part to how nice everyone was, Jay and I spoke on the phone originally. I got my information online and he was happy to answer questions about my findings. Connie helped me on the phone as well, and much more later. Then when I came in Yvette, walked me through options I was considering and features/differences. I am in sales, and was astonished how the style was very warm here at Team VW of Hayward. (I called the #1 guy at Sunnyvale, and all he could talk about is how I was lucky I called and he's #1 in the bay area and I would come into see him, grr, he came on too cocky and strong-hate that!)>>>Bottom line I used truecar and did my due diligence calling 4 other dealers, THE WERE MOST COST EFFECTIVE driving out of the lot! <<<< (as I am in sales I made them all compete to give me a true deal)Abby( super nice as well) and especially Sammy helped me immensely with my financing and made that experience a positive one It is worth a visit here!

Bought tdi passat from these guys. They promise you the moon and then don't follow through. Like the lifetime free car washes. Machine broken for months...sorry can't wash your car. Has my brakes squeaking for first year. Would have been my fourth visit. Heard everything from normal for diesels, to a rock or pebble, to dust, to moisture, to too hard of brake pads. Point is they don't know and basically can't fix the problem. Furthermore, requested a loaner due to having to return a fourth time for the same problem. Even had VW of America involved. They could not help me out even though they have loaners. Terrible customer service and very dishonest in my experience with them. Regret buying from this dealer and would not recommend.

these guys write the book on sleazy car salesmen. do not waste your time or money here!!i scheduled an appointment to test drive a car and drove over an hour to get there just to be told the car wouldn't start. very unprofessional.one of the owners, Abbi, told me he would reduce the price to make up for the inconvenience. however, when i purchased the car he refused to honor that offer. i was tired of car searching and wanted to be done with the whole process so i just paid him the money. BIG MISTAKE.i left a yelp review after i bought the car describing my experience. the fact that it reflected poorly on Abbi and his team is not my fault. i was honest in my review. Abbi called me the same day trying to bully me into removing the review. he told me we signed a contract and there were legal implications. there is no such contract. i'm not an idiot, but he might be.6 days after i bought the car it broke down on the middle of the golden gate bridge.after just 1,000 miles one of the tires ran flat. when i took it to tire shop they told me all the tires were bald on the inside tread. i explained that i had just bought the car and showed him the inspection report provided to me by Team VW that stated there was plenty of tread left (8/32). he and 2 separate tire shops told me that Team VW had lied on the inspection report and that the tires had to have been bald when i drove it off the lot. the true tread was 2/32 on 2 tires, 1/32 on one, and 0/32 on the one that blew. all three shops told me 1,000 miles could not have worn them to their current state if the details on the inspection report were true.these guys are complete liars and scam artists. but you don't have to take my word for it. look at their yelp page and see how many other people that have had a horrible experience with them and also attest to their sleazy, shady tactics.if you think you're getting a good deal it's probably because they're scamming you. you'll pay for it in the long run.

I would not recommend anyone buying or leasing a vehicle at Team VW Hayward. This dealership is the most unethical, deceiving, lying, untrustworthy, rude and sarcastic group of people there is in the car industry. If there was ever a typical stereotype of a car dealership and the bad reputation of the same, Team VW Hayward is the ultimate in such a stereotype. There are plenty of other VW and car dealerships in the area that anyone would be much better served.

I went there because I was offered a great deal and was excited about getting a car. AFTER THREE HOURS of waiting when it seemed like every customer except me was taken care of they came to me and said the original offer is gone. Gave me a new price through the roof and I said no and the manager was rude/cocky so I left

I received an excellent quote by email. The quote was $1000 less than any quotes I got from other VW dealerships. I drove from San Francisco to Hayward to buy the car, and it was worth the trip through East Bay traffic. The sales staff are very courteous. They used no sleazy sales tricks and went out of their way to set up excellent finance arrangements with VW Credit. There was no need for laborious haggling. I had done my research, and I knew the price and finance rate were more than fair. I was even allowed to use a $150 off coupon (which I forgot to bring with me) in addition to the already quoted deal. I ve never had a better experience with an auto dealership.

I came in about two weeks ago to get my Jetta serviced. I saw the original salesman (I forgot his name) but he remembered us and greeted us. My wife and I are looking for a volkswagen Jetta car for my daughter and got a great experience in buying one in this VW dealership in Hayward. They gave us a very good deal on a 2012 VW Jetta not to mention the three(3) yrs. FREE car maintenance, oil change and car wash on any VW dealer. All the sales associates were very helpful and cooperative esp. JAY who guide and help us drove our daughters new car. Thanks a lot JAY for being professional and friendly to us. Also, we thank CONNIE, ERIC, ABBY, and HAMID in assisting us and treating us a good friend. THIS IS THE WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH, NOT JUST CAR DEALERSHIP BUT ANY BUSINESS. SAMI MEJADADA (GENERAL MANAGER), ABBY MUJADADI, AND JAY MUJADADAI ARE LIARS. READ MY REVIEW BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM TEAM VOLKSWAGEN OF HAYWARD.I purchased a 2000 Eurovan from Team VW of Hayward. Eric Warren (salesman) told me at the time of purchase, every used vehicle has a 1,000 mile/ 1 month warrantY. Sami told me the same thing while doing the paperwork. 2 weeks later the check engine light goes on and I call them. Abby spends all day Saturday trying to find my file and says call back on Monday. This makes me suspicious and I read internet reviews and they are so bad that I become worried that they are not going to honor the warranty. I call back on Monday and Jay says, Bring it in and we will fix it under warranty, so I drive from Santa Cruz to Hayward and all they do is RESET THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. By the way, Robert (service manager) is quite incompetent as well and says the check engine light might not go back on for a while and this is a maintenance issue and not covered under warranty. They also say I dont have a warranty, so I check my paperwork, and sure enough there was no sign of a warranty. I was in a hurry when signing my papers and left without something in writing. Lesson learned. I call Eric Warren the next day and he told me again, every used vehicle we sell has a 1,000 mile/ 1 month warranty. Then I called Sami back and he said I was out of luck but he would give me a discount to get it fixed. I told him I already brought it in and all they did was reset the check engine light. I ended up bringing it to my local mechanic and paid $700 to get it fixed.I contacted 2 lawyers in the meantime and they both said to take them to small claims court. I also was going to subpoena Eric Warren and Jay who said it would be fixed for free under warranty. So I called Sami and requested that he pay the $700 and he sad, no. When I threatened to take him to small claims court and contact ABC 7 On Your Side, his tune quickly changed and he offered to pay half of it. Although Im sure I wouldve won in court, I accepted his offer so I would no longer have to deal with these lying and greedy so called car salesman and leave this experience in my past.I also asked to record conversations with Sami, so I would have what he told me on record and each time he refused; thus allowing him to continue to tell me lie after lie.Hopefully you dont make the same mistake I did and purchase a vehicle from these people and if you do, take them to court and if you ever need a witness of any sort, please contact me, because these guys need to learn how to run an honest business.

On 1/4/2012, I drove from Stockton to Hayward purchasse or order a new VW Beetle. Team VW had one of the Turbo Launch Beetles in stock, in the color I wanted. I went for a test drive with Abby, and he was very nice and informative. He did not try to use any high pressure sales tactics on me. I told him that I was looking for the most I could get in a vehicle to match my fixed income (retired). We went and worked with the finance department, and I was given a very fair price quote. I had been searching all types of vehicles, including VW's for the past month on the Internet, and at other locations. I told Abby that I needed to bring my husband to sit in the vehicle, prior to purchasing it as he had physical limitations. Abby and Robert were very helpful and did not try to pressure me into the sale.I came back the next day with my husband and he also liked the vehicle. Jay and Sammi helped us on 1/5/12. We were given a very fair price (I did my homework prior to this purchase). The entire staff was very helpful and friendly to an older couple. I will recommend this dealership to any of my friends/family that might be looking for a new vehicle!!

I'm extremely unsatisfied at Team Volkswagen of Hayward for making me wait so long for such an easy transaction. Team Volkswagen has the worst post sale customer service I have I ever seem in an auto dealership. They will do everything to sell a car, but once the car is sold, they could care less for the customer. I had to bring the BBB twice to resolve issues I had with Team volkswagen.

When researching dealerships in the San Francisco Bay Area, sadly (and erroneously) you will quickly find negative reviews about this dealership on the Internet. However, our experience proved otherwise, so you may want to take a second look and judge for yourselves. Sure, read the negative comments, but always remember there are two sides to any story - good or bad! So take everything with a grain of salt and always make up your own mind first. That is exactly what my husband and I did. We initially had our doubts (big time!) because, like you, we had also read all those awful reviews. But, we decided to make up our own minds, take the reviews with a grain of salt, and give the dealership the benefit of the doubt. After all, they offered the best price and promised not to disappoint. The worst thing that could happen was that we would have wasted an hour of our time. But, turns out, that they did not waste our time! We arrived very skeptical and ready to leave the "bargaining table" should the reviews on the internet prove to be true. Instead, we were treated like friends and the sales reps were awesome! We got the price as negotiated via e-mail, everything was as discussed and in black and white for us to see, not one extra charge thrown in at the last minute, the car was what we had discussed, and the sales reps (Jake, Abby, and Jay) and the finance manager (Sami) were down to earth, straightforward, and amazingly friendly and helpful. Simply put, of all the cars we have ever purchased, this was by far the more pleasant and honest transaction of all. Sure, like us, you might think the dealer wrote this and I would not blame you because, after all, dealers do write their own reviews at times. However, this one was written by a couple who truly did have a good experience and would like you to take the time to get in touch with Team Volkswagen of Hayward and make up your own minds. Discuss what you are looking for and negotiate. We are willing to bet that you won't be disappointed - we were not and are now enjoying our super cool VW. Thank you guys! Keep up the good work...

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I don't even know where to start, but I guess I can start by saying they pressure you to buy. My husband told the sales manager Hameed that he wanted to think about buying the car before making sure a large purchase. He continue to drop the price in order to get the sale. He told us that nothing but numbers and he wanted to get us in a car. He told us to give him a price, so I told him $12,000 ( We were looking at a Jetta), and I told him that I knew that they would be unable to sale us a car for this amount. He insisted and told us that if he could sell us a car for $10,000 would we buy it today. I told him that I knew this was impossible, but yes if he could sell us a car for this price we would be happy to buy a car from them. He went to the owner I guess and the owner call back and told us to get out he would not be selling us a car. I guess this is our punishment for not giving in their their pressure and wanting to discuss about buying a car. When we were called back in, were actually leaving but he was convinced he could sell us a car. I am telling you do not buy from these guys, they are crooks and if you don't buy from them they try to humiliate you. They are able to produce paper that make it look as if you are getting a great deal, but this is part of their game. After arriving home and doing the research, we found that they had manipulated the number to make it look as if they were giving us an awesome deal. Buy a bike to ride before you purchase from them!

What a great experience! i came in to shop for a station wagon and I get directed to a jalopy where the sales rep tells me it"s a great car> From the looks of it the car was dirty and very badly smoked in. By the timwe I left the dealership the car was actually better than expected cause it almost looked brand new. They also gave me free extra services and free carwash for life of the car and free repair of the scatches on the bumper and the fender and free gas to hold me over. I've bought many cars in the past and this was the best experience I've ever had. This is a place where written and oral promises are met! Thanks Jun and A very special thanks to JAY and his staff.

Wish I could give them less than one star! I guess it is my fault for letting my 81 year old husband go for a "test drive" whilst I was elsewhere. He came home with a new VW jetta wagon diesel, which is the car he wanted, but he was talked into overpaying by several thousand dollars. Unfortunately he paid them with a check (which they promptly cashed). To add insult to injury they gave him a mere $2,750 for his 9 year old Nissan Quest van which had only 48,000 miles on it. I wanted that van for our grandson! When I found out how little they had paid for his Nisson van, we drove back to the VW dealership and said we wanted to buy the van back. At first Jay (a salesman) said okay because the van had major problems like needing a $400 brake job because the brakes were 95% gone. Then he said the red light that indicated the windshield reservoir was empty stayed on (this light had been on for two years and we had already told them that fact) therefore the entire electrical system was bad and would need to be replaced for $1,600. After telling us what bad shape the van was in, Jay said at anyway the van was in their repair shop.with the tires off--but come the next day, Monday, we could buy it back for the $2,750. Today is Monday, the supervisor Sammy, will not let us buy the van back . Oh, I just learned that I can get a new brake job for $150--it it really needs it--and a licensed Nissan mechanic says that the red light on the windshield reservoir indicated a burned out sensor. What creeps. How demeaning. We got taken by this dealership. All I can do is cry about the fact that I have a too trusting husband and their are some unscruplous people who will take advantage of unwary senior without a second thought. Please do not do business with these dishonest people. VWs are fine cars but this dealership, its salesmen and supervisors are not good people.

Professional over the phone and once you arrive. As you step into the office to talk numbers, they turn very aggressive and insulting if you do not agree with the sticker price (which is above kelley blue book). This is not a safe environment for first time buyers as they will intimidate you and not return your keys to walk out(they ask you for your current keys and keep it before allowing you to test drive the desired vehicle).

They gave me their word that they would include bluetooth installation and then they said they never said so. Customer Service did not believe me and so my experience with this dealership is that they don't believe the customer or relate well to the customer and they don't stand by their promises!

I bought a Volkswagen Passat (new car) from this dealer back in Jun 2000. Ofcourse, they pressured me to buy the extended warranty for $1000(7yr 100K). Anytime there was a repair, I asked them if the part is covered under extended warranty but was always said NO by this Service consultant. I did a repair at 70K miles and paid around $150.00(Without the Tax). The same part needed to be replaced at 90K miles and this time I was physically present at the dealer and was again told the this part was not covered by the extended warranty and my deductible would be more than the cost and blah..blah..blah. I insisted on calling the extended warranty company(Since I knew I had $0 deductible) and when he did make a call....guess what..This part is covered by my warranty. Now, this time the price of the part with Labor and taxes are $101.00Also, They would not reimburse the amount because it is too late...You know what reason they gave me...That I didn't inform them about my extended warranty at the time of my first repair...Don't even think of going to the manager...She is even rude than the staff..

bought a used car, 2003, 47,000 miles. When I was looking for a car they were very friendly and joking around. Maybe I am naive or too trusting, but this friendliness turned out only to be a mask. First thing, I bought the car under the conditions that they would fix certain cosmetic things like a tear in the window liner, missing mirror, cleaning, etc. they did none of this except a vacuum/shampoo of the car. Furthermore, when I test drove the car, I did not hear any noises. However, 24-hours after I got the car, I heard several and had to bring the car back 3-4 times. There was squealing from the brakes, a clunking/grinding noise, and a squeal when I turned the wheel. After the last time bringing it back, they had a mechanic drive in the car with me. He heard all of these noises as well, however they told me that there was "nothing wrong" and what did I expect buying a used car? Well, I expected to get a car that was not falling apart. Instead I threw $8,000 down the toilet.

I could not believe how many "car salesman scam tactics" this guy through at me. Basically tried to get me very confused by juggling numbers left and right (I am a woman, but well versed in buying a car. I can handle it!) I knew what he was doing as he was doing it. He clearly assumed I knew nothing, and apparently thought I didn't know any math.Secondly, he tried and tried and tried to get me to talk about my trade in. I in fact have a very nice trade in, but know enough that I KNOW I should just sell it on my own. Despite that, once he heard what my current car is, he just started writing up deals left and writing, offering me all sorts of numbers for the trade-in. Of course, this is just part of the tactic to confuse the numbers so that I can't tell how much I'm actually paying. By this time I KNEW I was not going to buy a car from him. But I enjoy baiting slimey salespeople, and then cutting bait myself. Let's hear it for the consumer. So I played along with the trade-in, mostly interested to see where it would go.The final tip off: He told me he would give me additional discount if I agreed to have the sales price of my trade in listed at MANY thousands of dollars below what he was actually offering to pay for it. That, plus a whole lot of other number games he tried, was the final straw.I did what I hope all buyers know how to do: WALK OUT!!! At the first sign of slimeyness, just WALK OUT. There are plenty of cars out there, and there ARE some good dealers. For people in the East Bay of San Francisco area, try Dirito Brothers. Had a good experience there.
