Jamal Graham was my sales consultant, & I have never encountered a more friendly & knowledgeable salesman, without being too pushy. I had 2 minor issues with the truck after I left, & R.J. handled it right away, at no cost. My experience was amazing!!! I bought a car from them 2 years ago and I came back and bought another car. Danny (sales manager) did everything in his power to find me the best car especially because I was being picky he was very patient with me and he was very nice and communicating through the whole process he even helped me find car insurance lol also Angie and Daniel (saleswoman and salesman) were very amazing and very helpful as well I recommend them if you come and looking for a car. They aren’t about the money they actually showed that they cared and wanted you to drive off in the best and something that you will love. They also had small talk other then just trying to sell me a car and I really liked that it made me feel comfortable. Thank you again!! They all need RAISES ASAP!!!

As a disabled veteran, public servant & former Chrysler employee, I'm extremely disappointed and disgusted by the tactics employed by personnel at Tate. Ralph, who closed out my deal, shorted my payout with my previous finance company. To my amazement, I discovered this after placing a phone call finding out if the loan was in fact paid off after receiving no confirmation after several weeks. Looking past the finger pointing between Tate and the finance company, I got to the bottom of it & arranged to pay off the principal the payout was shorted and Ralph agreed to pay the interest. In good faith, (& because I didn't want any negative mark on my credit or pay it past the date due) I paid Tate's part of the shorted payout, in which Ralph agreed to have let me know when it was done so the dealership would reimburse me. After notifying him I had done my part, I have yet to hear back from him despite messages left and my wonderful salesman, Sal, relaying my messages. The matter has dragged out two weeks now. I can't believe a corporation such as Tate would sully their reputation over $80, just to get a lien release! I take a man or women's word as their bond and my trust is betrayed over something of which is not my fault. In addition to this, there was damage at the side of my new Jeep's dash that I still need repaired and I can never get through at service. The only pleasurable experience was working with Sal, the salesman. He's the only reason I would give my experience 2 stars instead of 1. He was awesome but unfortunately works at a dishonorable dealership in which will never see my business again.Warning to fellow veterans, former Chrysler employee (calling corporate after I sent this), Navy Federal customers (I will be contacting them as well to make them aware of your business practices) & car buyers in general, there are more honorable & reputable places to buy your vehicle than Tate. Avoid at all cost. The owner shouldn't have to come in and respond to explain actions of his employees after the fact when customers have an issue. Be proactive not reactive!

Purchased a 20ll Dodge Nitro heat from Tate, it was the 7th time I have bought a vehicle from Tate. My sales person was Angie Frisnedi she was great. She was very thorough,kind and patient in helping me and my wife to decide the vehicle that was best for me and my wife. The manager Ken Mason along with the finance specialist Judy Longobardo were just great and as usual they guided me through the financial solutions to cunsumate the deal. A special shout out to Judy who has been involved in all 7 vehicle purchases! The staff is excellent in working with you and sealing the deal.

I went to Tate Dodge Chrysler Jeep looking to purchase a 2016 Grand Cherokee Summit that they had in stock and I was looking to trade my 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland. I did my homework on the value of my trade and the new car. I told the sales manager and my salesperson Wendell Fitzgerald that I just wanted to know what their best price was for my trade and for the vehicle that I was looking to purchase and that if they treated me fairly that I would go ahead and purchase the SUV. Let me just say that both of them handled the transaction with a totally professional attitude. Their offer for my trade and for the new SUV were both better then what I had estimated and so I went ahead with the purchase even though the SUV was still in transit. I put $500 down to hold the vehicle and it arrived a week later. Wendell contacted me as soon as it arrived and I made arrangements with him to pick it up. When I arrived two days later, the whole transaction only took about an hour. I am writing to compliment Tate for one of the best buying experiences I have ever had in purchasing a new vehicle. I currently own five vehicles and have purchased four this year alone. I would gladly give them an outstanding rating for their professionalism.

I took my Jeep in for a recall today, having made an appointment ahead of time. They knew I was waiting for the vehicle - I was aware it would take about 1.5 hours to complete. They said they would come get me in the customer waiting area when it was finished. I spent the first 45 minutes outside walking and on a bench outside the service area until I got too hot and moved inside. I was in the same seat - did NOT move for an hour and 15 minutes when I decided I best go check on the status since it was well past 2 hours at this point. When I walked into the service department, Jason said "Oh, it's been done and is ready to go". I asked why on earth he didn't come get me and he had the gull to tell me that I was not in waiting room. He insisted that I was not there - and was incredibly rude telling me "You have a good day, now". I am beside myself! I didn't move from the same chair in the waiting room for over an hour and 15 minutes, yet he insinuated that I was not telling the truth. He did call my home phone to tell me that it was finished - a call that I obviously would not receive until I returned home! Needless to say, I am not a fan of their customer service. I have never been treated in such a rude, unprofessional manner.

Went in to cancel the service contract for our total loss vehicle. I was treated like the xxxx of the earth and was not given the courtesy that I feel customer service should have given to me. I was notified that there would be a wait for half hour to an hour. I was walked over to the waiting area and the team member even said "I can sell you a new car!" How about you help me get out of the first one? I'm even more aggravated that it took nearly 2 hours for them to give me 5 minutes of their time to process to cancellation. It took Karen literally 5 minutes. My money/business was good for you when I purchased the car but not good enough for 5 minutes of your time. Disappointed. I will not be returning to Tate. I will take my business where my business is respected and wanted. As another professional in a similar industry with monthly deadlines and goals, I would never speak to any of my 160 clients in the manner that was displayed today.

First I would like to start by saying I live a little over an hour away from the dealership. I go in yesterday and tell the guy I will be in the next morning to purchase the car. I call him while leaving my house, that is over an hour away to tell him I am on my way to buy the car, I show up at the dealership and someone walked in 20 minutes prior to me arriving and decides to purchase the car..... I am fuming mad and I call to complain and the managers response.... We have signs that say "the car you are thinking about tonight is the car someone else buys tomorrow..." Then it wasn't until I was so angry that I actually started crying that he was like I'm so sorry that this happened blah blahblah a lot of Bull S***. The only good thing about my experience was the car salesman was really nice and not pushy, so if you decide to waste your time to go there ask for Dezmon because he is the only person I would bother to talk to. Even though he should have said that someone was driving to the lot he was very professional and nice about everything and had my best interest in mind when I was trying to purchase the car, he had no problem answering any and every question I had. Also they have online sales prices and a sign outside of the dealership that say 3,000$ trade in guarantee but that doesn't go for the internet sales price that is written on the car so basically its a pointless false advertising sign to get you in their dealership.

This dealership uses the Jeep moto. Take advantage of the customer at each and every turn. Provide the Old Bate and Switch tatic to each process from sales to service.The reliability of the products they sell and service they provide is horrible.After dealing with this dealership for 8 years, I would never send my worst enemy to them.I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that they serviced for 5 years and spent more than $10,000 in repairs with them, for the vehicle to have constant issues. I then traded the Jeep in for another Certified Jeep Grand Cherokee that had issues from week one. They argued and complained about every concern I raised, Did manage to finally get a muffler out of them which was under warranty. Sadly it was not the appropriate muffler and was louder and less effiecient than it should have been. Continued to have the normal service done on the vehicle and purchased the Maintance Oil Change Package from them religiously. Was to come with an Engine Guarantee for Life as long as they continued to service the vehicle. Sadly when issues came up with the Jeep and its engine, no one would respond, when I asked to speak with Mr. Johnson he was never available, and after filing a complaint with the BBB he responds that he was never contacted and that my vehicle never had the engine guarantee.Guess the service department that sells that and the salesman are not aware of what they are actually selling. They refuse to even respond to the complaint and consider the matter closed.My suggestion is that anyone that is considering doing any type of business with this dealership, be prepared to spend two times what you should to repair your vehicle and that the purchase of any vehicle from them is done on a "Buyer Beware" basis.Save yourself the headaches and aggrevation and extreme expense and purchase from another location, and find a reliable service department to work with.

i was there at the dealer ship on Ritcjie Hwy on 1/25/16 looking to trade in my vehicle with a 2011 jeep Grand Cherokee with 92K miles on iti was earlier that day at carmax laurel in MD and i got 14,769$ for my trade in but i wasnt sure about a change with my car, they also had a 2013 Grand Cherokee with 61K miles on itthe thing is i understand that im going to lose on my trade in and i was okay with thatbut the manager at Tate used car sales gave me 12K for my car and she wanted 15K for the jeep and asked why so low while carmax gave me alot higher and their vehicle was newer and less miles on itplus the one Tate had had a lot of issues like the remote start doesnt work and the keys onlt open and close the doors not the trunk nor startand i asked and the sales agent asked the manager and she said the vehicle as is dont like dont buyi over heard that from the other roomand she was telling me to go sell to carmax and come back but the way she was talking to me was really in polite and its more like i was asking her a favor not to do her jobi have 5 cars at my house i got from your competitors like JBA Chevy and Sheehy Nissan and also from Adams chrysler and the way the treated me i keep going back to thebut after this experience i will not go back to Tate for any reasonI will in hospitality business with Diplomats and High Profile People and the way i deal with them is i answer whatever question they have even tho if it was not normalthe Guest or in this case the customer is the one whos helping you keeping your jobthank you very much for my worst experience so far

I have a Ram 3500 and lost my key fob. On The Monday after the big snow storm, they were open. I I I called and talked to Brian. He was very helpful and courteous. He worked with me to make sure they had the right key fob before wanting me to drive there. They had it and when I got there, he knew exactly why I was there without even asking if he could help me. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. I bought the truck at Tate but I will never do that again. The salesman was terrible and they tried a slight of hand on me with the deal. However, it's the service that makes me come back. You buy the vehicle once but you have service many times. Thank you Brian and to the technician that did the work. Jerry.

I had the best experience at Tate Dodge and Chrysler, with the purchase of a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L coupe. I am a junior in college, and this was my first major purchase ever. It was clear that Mr. Lyles was in tuned with exactly what I wanted from the very first moment we spoke. Mr. Lyles is not the typical, "car salesman, and a consultant would be an understatement. He listened, and was professional. Mr. Lyles aims to cater to the wants and needs of his client, providing a satisfying experience. I can honestly say, out of all the dealerships I visited, my experience at Tate Dodge was more than satisfying. Exemplary would describe it best, making my first car buying experience positive and one to remember. Took my Jeep Cherokee to Tate for service and the Jeep ran rough and worst than it ever has after I left. I talked to some tool/Brian (employee of the month candidate) and he basically told me I was an idiot without saying as much. I would suggest that if you need service you take it to another Dodge dealership or a trusted mechanic. I called another Dodge Dealership in Maryland and the guy there said have you ever seen the commercial where they have monkeys beating on an engine that's what we think about Tate's service department. He further advised that you'd be better off talking to a brick wall than trying to get anyone satisfy you there, the owner is non-existant and the dealership maybe under review from FCA and I wouldn't be surprised if Tate is forced to sell out. Since my parents live in PA I took the Jeep to a dealership in PA and they found numerous problems one being the EGR valve and they didn't even see that the transmission fluid was almost non existant. Thank goodness I took it to another dealer or my transmission would have been fried by now.

Took my Chrysler to the Tate service center the car was diagnosed with a few things and a suggested replacement of a parts. I did everything suggested and I paid $900 for the service. I picked my car up and the car would not start the engine light was on. I asked the service tech to at least get the light off and he did and said I wouldn't drive the car looks like the head gasket, catalytic converter and coolant system have problems according to my code reader. Then when I asked further questions about the problems another service tech laughed. I am a service disabled police officer and was treated like a complete piece of garbage. Shame on you Tate Dodge.P.S. they didn't even fill my car up with proper fluids!!

For 9 months Ed and I emailed back and forth about the prices of jeep wranglers. I came in and test drove one, but I couldn't commit to the price. A few months passed and I stopped by Tate again. Finally, after changing my mind at least twice about which jeep I wanted, I finally settled and then fell in love with an unlimited with all the bells and whistles. Being afraid of the monthly payment. ..Ed ,without pressuring me, helped me find financing that I was comfortable with. Before I left the lot, Ed showed me how to use all the instruments on the dashboard. Walked me through taking the top off and he even sync'd the uconnect to my phone. I drove my new blue (insisted on white in the beginning)Wrangler Unlimited off the lot and into my driveway. I must say. .it looks good there! Holly Borgese

I have a special, 3 oil changes for the price of 1 and when this runs out I'm never going back. My appointment a few months ago I found out they rotate the tires only front to back. My tires are non-directional tires and the owners manual recommends that the front tires cross sides, then sent to the back and then the back to the front. We argued who was right and got no where. I contacted their corporate office to inform them that this service department is going against the owners manual and wanted to know who authorized this. I guess they know me by oh its that guy. So knowing the way they do business I tagged my are filter with invisible ink and noted the serial number of my tires and its position on the truck. Today I get my 30,000 mile service done. Greg Sandridge tells me I need the hemi tune-up ($350+) and other stuff. I corrected him by saying the owners manual only calls for this, this and this. He checks his computer and says he was wrong, 2014's and up have different spark plugs. After the oil change, I checked the air filter, filter was changed. Checked the tires, tires were not rotated. Talked to the service manager, he said they are reviewing the camera to see what the technician did. They ended up doing the rotation and the service manager and Greg Sandridge asked the tech what it means when swapping tires on a rotation in front of me and the tech said yes. Tire rotation complete and offered a discount on an front end alignment. Going on good faith I did not check the tires before leaving. Get a car wash done at the local car wash because they give me a ticket for one. Didn't do a good job so my wife and I washed the truck when I got home. Thought to myself I'd better check the tires just to make sure. Sure enough it was a straight rotation, front to back, back to front. The paperwork even says they cross rotated them.

The sales process is smooth but misleading. They tout their free car washes and oil changes for life, but never mention that they are limited to 2 per year. Whose car only gets dirty twice a year. So we bring our car in because the GPS doesn't work and they tell us the online appointment system doesn't sync with the service department so we need to make a second appointment. Fine no biggie. The second appointment comes and we are told several hours after dropping the car off that the guy with the flash drive isn't in that day. So apparently no one can find Frodo and his precious so we need to make a third appointment. Of course they could have called and told us this before we dropped the car off but that must be too polite. The third appointment day comes and several hours after we drop it off they call back to tell us they can't do it with the flash drive so they need to order a new radio. No problem. Fourth appointment day comes and they call several hours after drop off to tell us the XM code isn't working so they need to call and order yet another radio. Four trips down, nothing fixed. Three days of work missed and still no resolution. STAY AWAY from their service department!!!!!!!

When I went into Tate, I was not expecting to buy a new car due to the price range. I had been shopping around for a used car for over a month. My father recently bought a new Jeep from Tate and convinced me to go check out the lot, just to see if there was anything I liked in my price range. As I walked around the lot, Daryn greeted us with enthusiasm and showed us the inventory. I still didn't see anything that I truly wanted, but Daryn sat me down and helped me figure out what I wanted in a car. He found many different Patriots with options in my price range, then worked with the manager, Matt Higgins, to get me an AMAZING deal. Since this was a huge decision, I decided to go check out a used sales lot just to solidify my choice. As I was visiting the used lot, I realized that the car Daryn was offering was a once-in-a-lifetime deal. When I came back to Tate, Daryn did a happy dance, knowing that I had made the right decision. He quickly got us through the payment process, and even connected my phone to the bluetooth in the car. I am very happy with my new Jeep Patriot, and wouldn't have it without the wonderful service of Daryn and Matt!

I have gone to a couple of other dealerships in search of a used vehicle. I felt like the other dealerships pretty much showed me terrible vehicles in my price range. Then I remembered my wonderful experience that I had when I bought a vehicle with my ex husband several years ago. I am not even sure why I didn't thing of Tate in the first place this time. Cliff greeted me right away the moment I walked into the dealership. He was incredibly friendly. I felt absolutely no pressure at all to buy a car because I did say that I was just shopping around. The other dealerships just walked me over to the worst cars on the lot. Tate is not like that at all. And they will not even sell cars that are in bad condition in the first place. He pointed out this beautiful Chrysler Sebring LX. It is an older vehicle, but it is in excellent condition and low mileage for the age. When it came to the price, he asked me what I felt was reasonable. He took my offer right over Judy, the Business Manager. He came back with a very good price which included taxes, tags, and all of the other fees that you should always consider when negotiating a price. I will be finalizing the deal next week, and I must say that my buying experience was not stressful at all. I feel like other dealerships treat you differently when you are paying cash for a car. I didn't even have to sit there and play the price haggling game at all. I am excited about my purchase because this is the first car that I will be owning by myself. I would highly recommend Tate to anybody whether or not you're buying a new or pre owned vehicle. I will certainly be taking my sister there when she purchases another vehicle! I saw a nice used 2013 Ram Crew Cab at the Tate Used Car Center. I did have two (2) trade-ins which were a complication on itself. However, after negotiating and then settling on a price, the salesman calls back and says the price is + taxes, the silly dealer processing fee, tags, and other fees. Now, this would have added about another $2,000 to $3,000 to the price of that he price of the vehicle. Now, I know that the price countered on to the dealer's price was ON THE ROAD. I do not know anyone who negotiates a car price other than ON THE ROAD. Anyway, i had accepted the price and was on may way to sign the paperwork, etc. when the salesman called back to say the price was final negotiated price was did not include taxes, the silly dealer processing fee, tags, etc. Needless to say i called the manager and he was basically tough. I have bought numerous cars from Tate and I will not be bying another car from them due to their deceptive sales tactics. AGain, I have bought many a car from many dealers and many different manufacturers and all those dealers, including my previous purchases from Tate, were negotiated prices as on the road. THEREFORE, IF YOU CHOOSE TO BUY YOUR CAR FROM TATE, REMEMBER THE THAT NEGOTIATED PRICE IS NOT THE PRICE YOU WILL PAY. Add on taxes, tags, the silly dealer processing fee, and other expenses. This is not the way to do business and I hope all future customers will take head in negotiating their price to pay at Tate.

I found a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country online and was sure I wanted it so I made arrangements to come in and test drive it. When I got there I was met by Will and the used car sales manager (Butch Rupert), they proceeded to tell me that unfortunately the vehicle I had seen online had been sold BUT they had found what they felt would be a suitable replacement - it was/is. It was the same price & model so no real pain.The vehicle needed a couple of minor "adjustments" - add heated seats, fix rear windows, fix remote key fob and get owners manual - which they agreed to so I bought the vehicle the same day(Saturday). It is now Friday and all "adjustments" have been taken of. They made the appointment for Thursday and everything went off without a hitch.All is good and I am very happy with my purchase and the sales force involved.Bruce

I have purchased a lot of vehicles to be honest I have had 5 vehicles in 6 years all from different dealerships and Tate was by far the worst!!!! I called at least seven times, would be transferred 3-4 times to some one who couldn't help me. I came in memorial day to purchase a brand new jeep, I called having some other questions later in the week nobody seem to know the answer and apparently the person who did wasn't in which doesn't make sense I don't understand how 1 person has the answer to 1 question. I spoke with the sales manager on the phone who had a very poor attitude, was rude, yelled and actually hung up on me!!!!! This sales manager should not be the dealership business, my father is a salesman I know how the business works you have to be a people person and this man is far from it!!! I will never buy a vehicle from tate, I went to Bob Bell bought a brand new Ford and am extremely happy. Tate was just a waste of time and I will never go back. Rudest people I have ever met!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!

David was very fast at answering emails and answering all of my questions. I requested pictures of the Jeep and he emailed them to me within minutes, I was very impressed with that. Everyone at the dealership was exceptionally friendly, when we were waiting for finance one of other salesmen offered us something to drink, and the manager apologized for the wait more than once. The price of the Jeep was very fair and they gave me what I thought was fair for my trade. The lifetime warranty on certified cars is the main reason for choosing this Jeep, and why we traveled two hours to get to Glen Burnie. I asked many dealerships to tell me about the warranties they offered over email and they put me off and told me that they could go over that when I came in. It was nice that David took the time and answered my questions over email so that I knew what I was getting before the long drive. I'll definitely be back to see David Giddens at Tate for my next car or Jeep purchase.

My wife and I recently purchased a vehicle from Tate Dodge (12/17/13). When we arrived at the dealership, we were met by a salesman (Anthony Stewart). Anthony asked what we were looking for and pointed us in the right direction. He was not overbearing and did not try to pressure us into anything. We were able to find the vehicle we wanted with all of the amenities but it was a little out of our price range. Anthony was understanding and tried to work with us on the price. In order to get the price we wanted, Anthony brought his General Manager (Shawn Frick) into the deal. Shawn also was very helpful and not pressuring. After us being a pain to both Shawn and Anthony, they were able to give us, what I believe to be a good deal on the vehicle we wanted. After the numbers were crunched, we went to finance. Our finance person was Jerry Tannever. Keeping suit with the rest of our experience, Jerry was very helpful and again did not try to push anything on us. Jerry simply offered us the warranties they sell and when we refused, he didn't keep pushing the issue. Jerry was able to get us in the payment range we wanted with a great interest rate. Our overall experience was great and we recommend this dealership to anyone. Make sure to ask for Anthony.

There was a little back and forth negotiating as there always is with vehicle purchases but I felt they were good at working with my demands. The finance manager was very helpful even though a little gruff around the edges. I did speak with a manager but his name escapes me. He was super friendly and easy to work with. There was only one little blip in the process about painting the bumper, however he dealer did decide to go ahead and have that painted for me and that will be completed this week.. I would and wil recommend this dealership to my friends and family. Overall they did a good job. The only downfall was that on the day of the sale the salesman seemed to be in a bad mood. I did inquire aout this but he assured me he was in a good moo so that helped a lot. Not knowig him I do not know his moods. He may have just had getting my paperwork together on his mind. Ed Berry is a very patient, friendly, and informative salesman, Mom previously drove a 2005 Jeep Liberty Sport and wanted something comparative to that vehicle. Ed recommended the Jeep Compass, which suited mom well. She was allowed to test drive it before the sale and again when it came in for her to take home. He explained in great detail all the gadgets in the Jeep and even programmed a few radio stations for mom and linked up her cell phone to the car's bluetooth system. In addition, he was agreeable to decrease the invoice price to the UBS price, as we were members of a credit union and would've gone to Laurel, MD to purchase our UBS priced vehicle had Ed not been so agreeable. Since Glen Burnie is much closer and more convenient than Laurel, this saved mom considerable inconvenience and stress. In addition to decreasing to the UBS price, Ed also gave us the $2,000 dealer rebate. Can't beat that!

My wife and I were greeted by Ron Channell within a few minutes of out arrival. I knew from prior after hours browsing which vehicle were interested in. Ron asked the usual questions as to price and what we were looking for in a Jeep. This was not to dissuade us but to make sure this would fit our needs and price range.He explained the modifications that had been added at the off Road Center and why they had been done. Everything was thorough.Once the pricing came about, all rebates and possible incentives were discussed. An appraisal was also arranged on the vehicle we were trading in.During this time, there was explanations of the Jeep Wrangler pricing structures and other models available in case this was not within our pricing. Ron also explained the Total Care plan that is offered. Fortunately, after all pricing was completed, it was well within our price range. there was never any time when we felt rushed or otherwise ignored.After the price was agreed upon, we met with Mr. Ralph Scott in finance. having been a customer at this particular dealership several times, we knew what was offered, which made the entire process go very quickly and smoothly. The side by side comparison of with and without other plans was very helpful. the GAP and Lifetime Warranty were explained. Ultimately, we decided on purchasing both as well as going through the in house financing. Ralph was very professional and most courteous throughout the entire process explaining each line of the financing contract.When it came time to take possession of the vehicle, Ron noticed apiece of the trim that was missing, something we had missed during the initial walk around before purchase. He annotated the We Owe memo and told us how to have it rectified at the Off Road Center.All in all, like the previous experiences with Tate Dodge / Jeep / Chrysler, we had an outstanding experience.

I would tell anybody if you are looking for a non PUSHY and very understanding sale agent ask for SARAH JOHNSON. One last thing I wanted to add was I heard a couple of negative things about Tate and their service/reps being nasty or non helpful. Tate and my sales representative (Ron Channell) were recommended to me by my boyfriend who's father just bought a vehicle there. I was very impressed by the knowledge of the vehicle my sales rep had. Since I never owned a Jeep wrangler before I had no idea what certain things did or how the soft top worked, Ron was very clear on how everything worked and what things did. After I decided I wanted to purchase the Jeep Ron took the time to look for rebates for me, there wasn't any, but it was nice he took the time to help. Ron also took the time to clearly explain all the pricing and how he came to the total. Ron is a very personable and easy person to work with and I was very happy with my experience.My finance representative was also very personable and easy to work with. He took his time and explained all my payment and warranty options. He clearly went through the final paperwork explaining each charge and total. My happiness continued with this experience.After the signing was complete, Ron walked me and my boyfriend to my new Jeep. I happened to walk around the Jeep and noticed a small dent on the right side of the hood. I informed Ron and he adjusted my "We Owe" paperwork to have it fixed. I plan on calling the service department today and setting up an appointment. I their service department is anything like their sales department it should go smoothly, if not I will certainly submit another review for them.To finish up, I would like to thank everyone who helped to make my experience so good. I absolutely love my new Jeep Wrangler!

My new 2013 Dodge Advenger is great but the but the rest of the deal sucked. (1) The car did not come with floor mats i had to fight to get them. (2) The web site showed the 2013 Dodge Avenger Retail Prices fpr $17,400.00 With a Dealer Saving - $2500.00 from the Retail prices for a Sale Prices of $ 14,900.00. But when i talking to the salemen he told me that i could not get the $2500.00 off of Dealer Saving & the car was saleing at the Retail Prices of $17,900.00 not $14,900.00 but thats not what the inter showed what I COULD BUY THAT CAR FOR.Luckly I was trying to get rid of two cars at the time & I got $4500.00 for good down payment for the Dodge Avenger. That $4,500.00 took the sale prices down to $13,300.00 that i live with for a 2013 USED CAR. (3) THE USED CAR WEB SITE showed that if anyone buys a used car they would get THREE YEARS WORTH OF FREE OIL CHANGES WITH YOUR USED VEHICLE PURCHASE but the sales men or anyone in the sale office said anything to me THANKS ALOT ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''THE ONLY THING THAT GOT ME INTO THE DEALER SHIP WAS THE $3000.00 TREAD IN.

Purchase: love driving my new / used Mazda5: the sales experience was easy and smooth. Long as usual.Car was not filled with gas. No car mats. Only recieved one key. Inquired about a key at sale and salesman told me he would as attempt to reach the trader for the key. I don't believe he tried. He made it seem so simple to get a 2nd key at the Mazda dealer. Did not give any indication a spare key would cost about $385.00. Now he states there is nothing he can do for me... they got their money... who cares about after sales sustomer service?? He says he spoke with his manager and nothing they can do for me. At least could have offered coupons for free service or something??? Not good customer service!!!The wrong lien holder was recorded on my title... I had to go out of my way to get documents for them so they can correct their mistake... we will see how long this correction will take...Not happy with after sale customer service.

would recommend Tate's used car section, I was just looking on the internet comparing prices for the car I was looking for. I expected to just call and for them just to confirm the car was or was not available, but Rhonda definitely made sure to confirm the details that I saw on the internet and even sent new pictures of the car (via text message). Even just arriving at Tates she greeting us almost as soon as we got out of the car. Rhonda was super sweet and genuinely wanted me to love the car, she didn't try to make a quick sale just because I was a first time buyer. It was great to see that they were willing to come down on the price and not just come down once and say that's all. Ron (I think that was the finance consultants name) kept it real and didn't sugar coat anything, which is a great thing because he went over everything and didn't want to get me to sign everything very quickly even though it was closing time. Tates has a great used car staff, they are friendly but not so friendly where it gets awkward or intrusive, and they work efficiently.

We came to Tate for deals on Jeep Wranglers we found online and came across two other great vehicles; a Jeep Compass and a Ford Escape. After a long consideration for the Jeep Compass I was still unsure about the decision to go through with the purchase and decided to sleep on it and come back the next day. No one pressured me to make the decision right then and encouraged me that I have to be comfortable with the decision I make. When I came back the next day I test drove the escape and they were able to get my monthly payments for that vehicle at a great price and made me feel confident in my decision to buy the escape. They had a great selection and were very accommodating to my needs.

I wanted to express my extreme gratitude to Kevin in the service department. Unfortunately I bought my 2007 Dodge Charger from Bob Bell Ford along with an extended service plan. Not even 6 months after owning the vehicle it started having major engine and computer problems. Bob Bells Service department gave me nothing but excuses, extreme grief and headaches!! They had every excuse in the book and tried charging me an absurd amount of money for something that was not even the issue with my car! The new car sales department was helpful, friendly, and organized from the time that I entered the establishment. I was referred to a sales rep immediately once I approached the front desk. Mr. Fitzgerald was friendly and eager to help. We discussed what I was looking for and he listened attentively. He was very informative and helpful in helping me to make a selection. Once the selection was made I was directed to 'Jet' in financing that worked hard to get me a great deal.I returned the next day to pick the car up. Why I picked this dealer is close to home. The ratings are all great because I didn't have a problem with anything during the transaction.Dealership worked with me and made sure I got all the rebates possible thru using USAA. I walked into the showroom on Saturday to look at replacement cars. I had my 2009 Dodge Journey towed to the service department and I wanted to look at replacement vehicles. David took me on a few test rides and gave me different options to work with. We ended up spending several hours together discussing pricing and financing. I walked away Saturday to think things out. On Monday, I received the call about my Journey needing it's AWD replaced for the 2nd time in 6 months, and I knew I had to make the switch. People question why I went back to Dodge, but I enjoyed my Journey before it broke, and my family has had several Grand Caravans over the years. In addition, I knew I was taken care of at the dealership immediately. David (as well as everyone there) has answered all of my questions and have been available through phone or even cell phone. David even helped me clean out the Journey to ensure I got everything out. I appreciate the fact that he went the extra mile.

My husband and I walked into Tate just to see what they had available in Dodge Rams. We had been looking around other dealerships and were getting pretty discouraged as to whether we were going to be able to get the truck we wanted at the price we were able to afford. When we met Joe he impressed us immediately because he made it clear he would do everything he could to put us in a truck that day. He was not pushy in any way. He was very laid back and relaxed, which put us at ease. He was extremely likeable and very friendly and down to earth. He did not promise us anything he wasn't sure he could deliver. I was very nervous going in to purchase a new vehicle by myself. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Wendell at the front door. I had asked for Matt, whom I had spoken to on the phone the day before. Wendell told me that Matt wasn't due to come in for another hour. He called Matt to let him know I was there. Apparently Matt asked Wendell to help me instead. Next thing I knew I was test driving jeep products. Of course I was limited to what I could afford. Finance was touch and go. I was a nervous mess. I was very hesitant about committing to new payments. But alas, I bit the bullet and signed on the line, the next line and the line after that. I found a car online that I liked but when I came to the dealership it wasn't really what I was looking for. After meeting with Joe in the parking lot he informed be of another vehicle I might be interested in. At the time it was being detailed so I wasn't able to see it. I came back 2 days later (I came in on a Saturday afternoon and you were closed on Sunday) for a test drive and fell in LOVE with my new Jeep Patriot. Joe was extremely knowledgeable of the vehicle and wasn't pushy like other car salesman I've dealt with in the past. The rest of the staff was very friendly and didn't make our buying experience uncomfortable in anyway. My wife and I were moving to Maryland from Hawaii, and she was hoping to have a new Jeep lined up for her as we arrived. Dave Bouchal patiently worked with her over the phone to find exactly what she was looking for, which I know could not have been easy because she is very pickey, detailed and had done her homework. Dave seemed very knowledgable, helpful and nice over the phone, and we hoped that that our initial impressions proved to be accurate when we met him to finish the deal, and it was.My wife fretted the whole trip to Maryland that her Jeep, and/or the deal in general, would not be exactly as she hoped for, even though Dave tried his best to calm her in that he was taking care of everything... as we arrived at the dealership, Dave came out to meet us, and he was indeed a very nice guy. He took us straight to her new Jeep which was sitting off by itself, as if it was waiting just for her, and it was prepped and ready to go... it was exactly what she was looking for, in every detail. The paperwork was also already prepared for her, with no unpleasant surprises. Actually, I don't know how the experience could have gone any smoother.Thanks to Dave Bouchal for doing all the prep work ahead of our arrival to make sure everything was ready and perfect for her... it is such a treat to feel like the salesman is working just for you. Dave Bouchal is a Professional and a Gentleman, and it was an enjoyable experience doing business with him.

On February 16, 2013, I took my 09 jeep to Tate for motor and differential oil service. During the service, they found another problem that was covered under warranty. The problem was that Tate did not have the parts to complete the service. After 3 hours I was told that they would contact me when the part came in. After notification that the part was in, I made an appointment for February 23 as early as possible. I asked the service tech how long it would be and he stated "give us about two hours." I told him I would wait for the repair in the waiting room. This started at 815 a.m. At approximately 1045 the service tech told me that the mechanic had a little issue with the install and should be wrapping up. Needless to say, it was another 2hours 1245 before it was complete. The service tech apologized and offered a free oil change for having to wait so long. I told him I did not want a free oil change, I just didn't understand why he didn't come to me when they realized it was going to take longer and advised me so I could have made arrangements to be picked up or have them shuttle me home. I now had spent 8 hours in Tate's waiting room the past two Saturdays. The comment, "What can we do to make this up to you" sounded like red hot pokers. I guess I should have told them that I would like to be paid the rate they charge per hour. I just wanted my car serviced and completed in a decent period of time. If this was a one time occurrence I probably would not be so mad. About a year ago I had my other vehicle there for warranty work on a Saturday. Atleast they told me it would take a while and I dropped it off. I was notified about 45 minutes before they closed (3PM) that the car was done. I told them that I would not be able to make it before they closed. I was told that they would leave the keys at the dealership and I could pick them up from there until 5 pm. Of course they had to have payment over the phone before they would leave the keys. I arrived at the dealership at approximately 3:25 pm and no one had a clue as to what I was talking about. They ran up to the Service area but everyone was gone. Needless to say I was without my vehicle until Monday morning. I had to take time off of work to retrieve my vehicle. When I arrived on Monday, they did not know what happened to the keys, and after a little while of asking around, it was found that the keys were locked inth e vehicle. I had to wait around until they made a key so that they could get into the vehicle to retrieve my keys. I have purchased 5 vehicles from Tate in the past 6 years and can promise you that I will never do business there again. I cannot risk that I will have a heart attack from my blood pressure boiling every time I go. You have lost a loyal customerTate your are supposed to be service business, please take the time to learn what Customer Service Means.

After a very negative experience at Waldorf Dodge (don't ever go there!), I went to Tate Dodge to buy a 2013 Dodge Charger and they were awesome! Matt Higgins was our salesman and he was top-notch. He empathized with what my wife and I had experienced at Waldorf Dodge, and he made sure that my business with him was professional and as easy as possible. He called numerous dealers to get the car I wanted, and managed to get it delivered from PA the same day. He also got me more money for my trade-in than Waldorf had offered. I spent a couple of hours there and he was very personable and friendly, and very attentive to my needs. When I came back that night to take possession of the car, he spent over 30 minutes with us in the car demonstrating how to use the many options and making sure we were totally satisfied with our purchase. Matt's can-do attitude and friendly demeanor was outstanding, and I would recommend anyone go to Tate Dodge and ask for Matt; you will be satisfied.

Both Ron and the rest of the staff I dealt with at Tate treated me very well. They did everything they said they would do. They did things promptly and didn't waste my time. Ron Channell was up to date on all the incentives that are around. When I showed up to pick up the car I had ordered, he told me of an additional incentive that Dodge was offering that I qualified for. He saved me $1,000 on the day I picked up the car. Thanks Ron!I had a poor experience with another dealer in trying to buy the Challenger. I should have gone to Tate first. They didn't waste my time trying to push me into adding options I didn't want on the car. I went in knowing what I wanted. They respected that and got me the car I wanted. The car is great and so is the dealership. Tate was recommended to me by a friend who had a good experience buying a car from them. I would highly recommend them also. They acted very professionally, something very much lacking from other dealers I've tried working with in the recent past.

Judy was very helpful in the purchase of our 2010 Jeep Liberty. We met Judy when we visited the dealership before but we didn't see a vehicle we were interested in. When we saw this one on the internet I called her to set up an appointment to look at it. The vehicle had just come into the dealership the previous weekend. She met us in the lot when we arrived to view the vehicle. She explained the Jeep's features to us before and after we took it for a test drive. After we completed our purchase, Judy made an appointment for us to bring the vehicle back to be completely detailed and have a minor surface scratch removed. We were very pleased with how it looked when we picked it up. I would definately recommend this dealership and Judy to someone looking for a used Dodge or Jeep vehicle.

I came into the dealership looking for a specific car. I first went to the new car dealership and because the one I wanted was beyond my financial ability, they refered me to the used car dept. They had the perfect van. It has everything I wanted in a mini van. Joe Holden is the perfect salesman, very friendly but not too pushy. We worked out a deal that I can live with. When my wife then met him in person, she felt immediately at ease. She had recently had a horrible experience with another dealership, and was not looking forward to the car buying experience. However, Joe's laid back, no pressure approach and outstanding customer service was the complete opposite experience (and exactly the type of experience) that she was looking for!!! Joe took the time to clearly explain the details of the car's history, the warranty coverage, and the pricing so that my wife felt comfortable with her purchase. He also continued to chat with my wife and answer questions while the financing portion was completed. Both Joe and the finance manager stayed after hours to finish the deal, with no sense of "rush." He helped me move items from my old trade-in car into the new car. He also offered to wait in the parking lot (after the dealership had closed down) to make sure the family ( including our 1 year old) was safely in our new car ready to head home. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone looking for a pressure-free, pleasant car buying experience. And on top of Joe - what a gorgeous car!!! Pristine condition, looks brand new, and the price of the car (and given for trade-in) was exceptionally fair!!! We were planning on looking at several other cars, but had no reason to go anywhere else!!!

Just when we were about to give up and go home for the evening, Judy Longobardo was right there just in the nick of time. My husband and I had been looking for a used 2011-2012 Hyundai Sonata. I was looking for a used truck under 20k at 4 different dealerships. I stop by Tate on my way to JBA and run into a salesman on the parking lot. I asked if he had anything in my price range and he said he could put in a new truck for a little bit more. Turns out it was a little bit more, but I now have a new truck not used and a long warranty. I gotta lot of truck for the money. The salesman on the parking lot that day was Ed Berry. I notice he had many Awards on his wall that day and after dealing with Ed I see why he has them.

He was determined to have us get the car we wanted and worked with his manager to his full ability to help us make the deal. He also came in on his day off to make sure we had our car detailed and repaired anything that we needed fixing. He was friendly and kind. First, let me just say that buying a car--on my only lunch break...would typically be considered a myth. David was well prepared, understood what I wanted, and showed me--in the first shot the car that I needed to replace my old minivan. He didn't try to sell me on another model that wouldn't function to my needs or the needs of my family. HE understood my budget and worked fairly with me to get that figure near the mark. He only went over by $458...not bad for the deal he gave me.I was in an out of the dealership within 2 hours--new (gently used) minivan, and traded in the old minivan. Transaction was fast, fair, and highly efficient. Probably the BEST salesman I've ever met. MY husband and I have owned (collectively) 8 vehicles and never was buying one of them a painless experience. I was back to work precisely when David said I would be....that's quite some talent.Have to give a shout out to the service guy who recommended that I go in and talk with him in the first place. It was a 2010 Dodge Caliber SXT with ~39k miles for $11,400. Through the phone, Carl and I were able to discuss my concerns and what I was looking for in a vehicle so that when I actually could get to the dealership, I was able to check it out, test drive it, and take it off the lot in a very reasonable time. Allow me to start by saying the sales dept was fine minus I couldn't even get a full tank of gas when I bought my 2011 Challenger. The very next day I drove the car to work only to find out I had no heat in the car. I took it back to the dealer only to have to leave it there for almost 2 weeks. I did finally get it back and it was fine. Recently I had to bring it back due to a brake vibration, the service dept said it was a tire out of balance, i took the car to work that night only to find out I still had the problem. A couple of weeks later I took it back again for the brakes again and an oil change, they finally fixed the break problm which was a warped roter. I picked my car up a day later only to find 2 dents 1 with a large chip of paint missing on the drivers side door. I spoke with the service manager who told me to bring it to his body shop, I did they said it would be $400.00 to fix the dents and repaint the door. I called the dealer back to see what they were going to do only to find out the service manager was on vacation and I would have to wait until he returned before I could get an answer. I recived a call about a week later and his response was i'll go half on the repair because we are not responsible for lot damage. I purposely park my car in left field in parking lots to avoid such dents, how can a dealer not be responsible for something that happened in their fenced in lot.

I rated the quality of work bad due to the following. I purchased a used 2012 Nissan Rogue on 08/18/12. My salesman was great. My car was not washed because it was just "detailed 2 days prior." The outside was still dirty. After leaving the dealership, my daughter tried to put down her passenger side window. It would not go down. Mine stuck but went down. I called Carl immediately explaining the problem. He talked with his supervisor who stated their must be a problem with the electric (not looking at it). I could take it to any Nissan dealership and it would be covered under warranty. I live in Easton so I took it to the Preston Auto Complex. I was told the problem was extra tint had been installed to the windows which had to be removed prior to passing inspection. The adhesive was not cleaned off after removing the tint and was causing the windows to stick. They were going to charge me between $100-150 to remove it and it would not be covered under warranty. I find this irritating that the car was "detailed" but obviously done very poorly. I had also found a gatorade bottle still half full under the seat when I cleaned the car myself. I paid $23,900 for this car and had to take care of cleaning it myself! I do love the car and am glad I got it.

From my interactions with Ron, through the finance portion with Ralph, our car-buying experience was easily the most efficient I've been through. This was the 11th time I've purchased a vehicle through a dealership, and I normally dread the hours spent sitting around waiting for service, paperwork, prepping the vehicle, etc. This was definitely a pleasant experience, and I'd recommend Tate Dodge to anyone that asked. We brought our 3 girls with us (all under 7), and it was quick enough that even they didn't complain! First, let me start off by saying this was by far the best experience with a dealership I could have asked for. It was in all honesty an accident, my fiancee and I had an appointment with the dealership literally right next to Tate. However, because I hadn't paid attention I pulled into the wrong dealership. We walked inside and met Mr. Joe Holden. I explained that I had scheduled an appt, and realized immediately I was in the wrong place. However, Joe offered to show us some of the vehicles they had on the lot. We went to the right appointment and needless to say we came back, it was a mistake to go to that other dealership, they made us feel we weren't worth their time or effort.Joe was very relaxed and so easy to communicate with, and made my fiancee and my day. The Business Manager Patrick Hutchins was just as equally relaxed and easy going. There was no pressure and they truly made my fiancee and I feel like VALUED customers. Working in the customer service industry as long as I have, it is a breath of fresh air to meet Sales representatives like those two men. Joe, if you do read these reviews, when I stop by either Saturday or Monday, I do need more of your business cards, I have given them all out to friends and family looking for vehicles. I could not have asked for a better experience, and I know my fiancee is extremely happy with her new vehicle. They have earned two loyal customers with this experience.

Just let me start out to say that I took my mother around to different area dealerships to buy a safe, yet inexpensive vehicle. One of my experiences with Toyota was so bad I will never go back there again. After driving onto the Tate used car lot, The greatest thing was that we were not rudely approached on like the other dealership. Our experience with Joe Holden and the other gentleman (and unfortunately I forgot his name) was very good. Joe did not push us into anything or follow us around. He came out and spoke very nicely and once we were done looking, we went inside to find him. He and the rest of the staff were very friendly. And thats a plus. The price of the vehicle was right in the price range we were looking for. And overall, the vehicle was in great condition. The customer service was outstanding. AND,,,they even stayed past closing to help us with some of the paperwork. I would recommend Tate used cars to anyone because of the friendly atmosphere.

I was looking to purchase a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and had no luck at other Jeep dealers in the area (Ourisman Clarksville). The other dealer (Ourisman) had the exact Jeep I wanted and only needed to come down $20 more on the payment and I would have bought it. Needless to say they wouldn't budge so I went to Tate. Although they didn't have the Jeep I wanted in stock ...they were able to find one even better at their sister store and said they could have it there the next day. Next came the money factor. Within 25min they were able to get the price down making my payment $66 less a month compared to what ourisman offered! For the same Jeep but better! ! Not to mention the great lifetime warranty! I spent 4 1/2 hrs at Ourisman on two different days only to find out they wouldn't negotiate their price ... in 1 1/2 hrs at Tate I was able to find the exact Jeep I wanted and had my papers signed and picked up the Jeep the next day! This was the first vehicle I purchased since my husband passed away. I was very nervous about car shopping, dealing with sales people, getting a good deal, being taken advantage of and choosing the right vehicle for myself. There were so many things to consider. (I would rather go to the dentist than go car shopping.) When I got to the dealer David Bouchal came out to greet me. He was very kind and helpful, showed me the vehicles I was interested in and answered all of my questions (even though I asked them several times, he was very patient with me). I did not buy my vehicle that day but went back a couple of days later. I was being very picky about the color and the extras that I wanted in the vehicle and David found me the perfect one. Then I had to go meet with the financial person. Even though I have excellent credit, I have had several bad experiences in the past. Jerry Tavenner was wonderful! I feel that he got me a good rate and did not make me feel pressured into getting the warranty. He explained everything, took the time to answer my questions (again I asked the same questions several times just to make sure I understood everything) . Even though it was getting close to 9:00 (closing time), he did not rush me. My daughter Jenny went with me for moral support. She had purchased a car from Tate last May and said that the financial person she had did not take the time to explain the warranty to her properly and if he would have explained it like Jerry did she would have purchased it. She wishes she could go back and change that part of her visit with Tate.When we were finished is was just after 9:00 and David still took the time to sync my cell phone with my vehicle. David Bouchal and Jerry Tavenner were wonderful and made sure that I had a wonderful experience.

My husband and I just purchased a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Over the years, we have purchased many cars. Our salesman, Matt Higgins was by far the BEST car salesman we have ever dealt with. He was very knowledgeable, polite and honest. He worked with us for over 6 hours to find the perfect car with all of the options that we were looking for. The only issue we had was with an employee in the finance department being rude. This was promptly taken care of by Matt and management. We were very pleased with our overall experience and will definitely recommend Matt to all of our family and friends. I absolutely love my new Jeep! Joe is by far one of the most pleasant sales personnel I have ever dealt with. I strongly reccomend you ask for him. The finance individual was very pleasant and really wanted to get my son in his first vehicle. To the manager: My only unpleasant experience on this trip was a comment I overheard from an indivual I perceived as the floor manager giving the salesman some grief on why he just found out the vehicle being traded in was on the lot the entire time and not looked over earlier by the dealership. I intentionally keep the trade in vehicle out of any price negotiating until a price has been finalized on the purchase vehicle. It was not the salesman fault.

Joe Holden is an excellent salesman. I don't think the word salesman really serves him justice. His customer service skills were above and beyond. I loved that, while I had to wait for the loan approval, that he didn't just leave me sit staring out the window. He kept the conversation going and made me feel at home. My husband and I were ready to get a new vehicle for our family and, after shopping around online, decided we were interested in getting a new Dodge Durango R/T. We have bought 4 brand new cars in the last year from Ron. His customer service is beyond excellent. We met Ron when we were looking at cars July 4, 2011. We did not realize that the dealership had closed early and had went there to look at cars. Ron was on his personal time just driving by and saw us out there. He stopped to tell us they had closed early and give us his card. We hadn't really looked inside and noticed that they were closed so his stopping by saved us a wait. Last week I traded my car for another car and from the time I walked in Ron addressed me by name and was just willing to help find me whatever car I wanted. In my 25+ years of car service experiences, I have never received such outstanding all around service like the one that Greg Sandridge and the service team rendered to me/my vehicle on Friday, 03-02-12. I brought my vehicle (2009 Dodge Grand Caravan) in to the Tate Chrysler Jeep service department for a routine oil change. The Service Advisor (Greg Sandridge) brought to my attention that my rear brakes were completely worn out and what it would cost to be replaced. I did not have the money to spend but I knew that I was not going to risk neither my life nor my 3 years old sons life. I therefore, cut into my rent money and gave Greg Sandridge the go ahead to do the repair. I thought that I would be there for the entire day and afternoon (based on my experiences with the Service Dept. at New Carrolton Dodge Dealer). To my surprise, Greg Sandrige approached me 30 to 40 minutes later stating that the vehicle was ready. I was extremely surprised and impressed by the timely and courteous service. Mr. Sandridge also informed me of the additional recommended service repairs for my vehicle. Unfortunately, I was not able to have the repairs done now but I will definitely bring my vehicle back to Mr. Sandridge and the service team at Tate Chrysler Jeep when I have the funds available. In closing, once again, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to Mr. Greg Sandridge and the service team at Tate Chrysler Jeep for the outstanding service provided to my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan and me. We found on this dealers website the discounted prices of the cars. Chrylser had several discounts that accumlated to approximately $4,200 on a 20,700 vehicle. This attracted us to buy and so we went in to purchase on February 29, 2012. Salesman (Matt Higgins) was polite and knowledgable and helped us by introducing the vehicle (Calibur) that we had already semi chosen via the website and seeing vehicle on the road. We drew up the paperwork and agreed in principle to purchase the vehicle with a fair offer on our trade in. We had our local (small) bank picked out and after sending them the paperwork, the bank said we needed to lower the amount financed by $2,300.00. Ralph Scott (Finance) worked with Shawn Frick (Sales Manager) and agreed to my offer to lower price by $1,400.00 while we paid $900.00 in cash. I applaud the dealership and it's employees for working hard to get this deal done. It was not easy and we received big discounts and great customer service. There was no sign of pressuring into making a purchase and no rush, he made me comfortable about making a wise decision. Went in to see what my trade was worth and Sales manager took my vehicle for 45 minutes, came back with a lowball offer. Said this is all the vehicle was worth to them. Vehicle was showroom quality even though it was 4 years old and was purchased from this establishment.Vehicle also had less than 20,000 overall miles. When I got the offer, I informed salesperson thanks but I am extremely insulted by that offer as the kelly blue book for that vehicle was $21,900 for good quality. Had no idea why person had to test drive my vehicle for 45 minutes from the time he left the lot until he returned. I never did get to see what I was inquiring about as a potential replacement. I will never do business with this establisment in the future and in my opinion if you are reading this you would be wise to steer clear of them as well. For the record I was trading a 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup and was offered $15,000.00 for it and I took it to another Dodge dealership and got over $7000.00 more than what this terrible sales manager said my vehicle was worth.

I am a repeat customer at Tate DCJ because I have always had a positive experience working with the sales staff there. Once again, the customer service was friendly and helpful. However, the service this time was exceptional. I emailed the dealership last night, and Chris Hall responded almost immediately. When I contacted him this morning, he agreed to make himself available to answer my inquiries at my convenience this afternoon. When we met, he patiently went to great lengths to fully explain all, not just some, of the wonderful innovative features available in the new 2012 300C. I never felt rushed or that my questions were burdensome.Finally, even employees who were not involved with my transaction were friendly and congratulated me on my new purchase. All in all, it was a great buying experience - matched only by my lovely new vehicle.

I received great servce from the minute I walked into the door. I first requested a test drive after viewing the cars and deals on their website. Ron treated with nothing but respect and did a really good job explaining the price of the Jeep I ended up getting. Then, once I got in with the finance lady who they call the Diva, I was given the utmost respect and she really worked hard to get be the best financing available. We showed up at Tate looking to trade in our old Cherokee for a newer 4 Door Wrangler. Our salesperson was Joe Holden, he was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. He found a 2009 Wrangler on the lot that was perfect for us, after we drove it we sat down to go over the numbers so that we could make sure we could afford it. Thats when the manager, RJ Macey, got involved. He was very friendly, polite, and laid back. He was very easy to deal with and was able to get our payment exactly where it needed to be. It was the easiest experience we've ever had at a car dealership. We were so pleased!! We will definitely continue to purchase vehicle's from Tate and would recommend to others to purchase there as well.

Called Chris Hall on Monday January 2, 2012 in reference to an internet vehichle pricing. Obviously he was either busy or not in at the time. Was directed to his voice mail. I left name, home phone and cell phone number. Explained I wanted to discuss a vehicle advertised on the internet. Today is Jan. 5th and I still have not received a call back from Mr. Hall, nor anyone else from the dealership. I have been dealing with this dealership for 47 years, since Mr. Tate was the general manager, before becoming an owner. I was ready to buy on either the 2nd or 3rd of January. By Mr. Hall's inconsiderate efforts to perfom his duties he has cost me sizeable rebates on this vehicle which have now expired. Not a very good way for Mr. Hall to do business and uphold the company's motto "Known for the Customs We Keep".The above report was sent to Tate Dodge by DealerRater. I was contacted through DealerRater from the general manager Shawn Frick of Tate. Mr. Frick in his message offered his apologies and his willingness to try everything in his power to make up these expired incentives I had lost. He had directed me to give him a call. I called and we were able to meet at the dealership. Mr. Frick had lived up to his word and was able to make the deal with me at no loss of any expired incentives which were quite sizeable. I sincerely thank him for his kind efforts in this matter. This is an amendment to my original complaint that all turned out quite well thanks to the honorable character of Mr. Frick.

My experiance at Tate was pleasant and the staff was as helpful as possible. Kyle Miner was very knowledgable about the vehicle and was able to show my wife and I vehicles that met both our financial needs as well as a vehicle that fit our family and bussiness lifes. Kyle also went the extra mile to insure our comfort with the little things, even as small as bringing the cars we were interested in, intop the showroom garage so that we wouldn't have to go outside during the cold winter day. Richard was by far the best finance employee I have worked with to date, I told him what I wanted in payment and costs and he got them for me with no questions asked even though my credit and financial situation was not the most desirable. I will be recomending this dealership as well as returning for my next vehicle purchase.

Came into the dealership because I had seen some vans I was interested in on the internet site. David showed us two others that were not on the website but were just what we were looking for. One was on the showroom floor, they pulled it right out so we could test drive it. The car was priced very reasonably and David worked with us to get the price to just what we could afford. The car had a few cosmetic issues, they were fixed to our satisfaction without any complaint.David got us a car manual and worked to get the Sirius radio subscription working in the car.I was glad to purchase a car from this dealership, it is close to our home and I will use their service department when needed.

My husband and I have used Tate Dodge for purchase and service of our vehicles for 12 years. We stayed with their service department after their move from Annapolis to Glen Burnie (even though the location is less convenient for us) because we trust the quality of work and service provided by their mechanic, Don. For maintenance issues we always use the same service advisor(Kevin)and mechanic. We have purchased six vehicles for our family from Tate over the years, the most recent this past week. David has assisted us with the purchase of our last three used vehicles and has always worked hard to help us find what we need at the best price--we just let him know the price range and time frame and he keeps us updated as to what is available that he thinks will fit our needs. Our purchase this week came about with the assistance of Don, Jerry, and David and was completed quickly and easily. We depend on Tate's used car sales department to find us what we need at the best price they can give us, and then we trust their service department for maintenance of the vehicle. The entire staff always makes us feel that they appreciate customer loyalty.

Everyone was very friendly but then again most sales people are. I thought I was getting a good deal until I was in the Finance Office and the Salesman's bottom line figure erred $1,000.00 in the Dealerships's favor. Very disappointing that they digressed to the bait and switch tactic.

I visited Tate Dodge Chrysler Jeep on Friday morning to look for a new 4 wheel drive vehicle. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by Tom, the sales consultant. He gave me some information regarding which vehicles would have the features I was looking for and then he allowed me to browse on my own. After a while, I found a vehicle I was interested in and he asked me to take a test drive, as well as showed me all the features inside the vehicle, which he seemed to be very knowledgeable about. Once we were inside, working out a deal was very easy, and Tom punched up the potential numbers very quickly and was able to explain everything. The finance personnel were easy to deal with and worked very quickly and painlessly. Overall it was the fastest and easiest car buying experience I have ever been a part of.

My 17 year old daughter and I stopped in to see what used Jeep Cherokees the dealership had. They had one that fell within our price range, but we could not test drive or finalize the deal until the next day. Ms. Longobardo telephoned me the next morning asking what we were planning on doing, and I explained that we needed to get money wired into my bank account. It took a while for this to finally happen, and through the entire waiting period, Ms. Longobardo was patient, helpful and friendly. She actually kept me calm. When the wire transfer was finally complete, she drove to the bank with me. I felt like I had known her for a long time and that she was a friend.I have bought 4 vehicles from dealers in the past, and I have never felt more comfortable and trusting! I will definitely recommend Ms. Longobardo ande Tate Dodge Chrysler Jeep to my friends who are planning on looking for a new or used car! Tate Certified Used Cars has been phenomenal. I have had nothing but great experience with them, and have purchased about 5 cars and/or trucks of the last several years. Most recently, I purchased a Honda Civic to off-set my gas mileage! The manager and sales person were great to work with. Very friendly, knowlegable and patient while I checked out various cars and made my final decision. From the moment I walked into the showroom, I felt like I was the only customer in the dealership. Everyone there was friendly, courteous, and answered all of my questions frankly, and truthfully. This is my 12th car purchased from Tate, since 1968. The service has been great, and I think that I have been treated fairly each time that I have gone there. Chris Hall was a very personable and professional salesman. He was very knowledgeable and took time to to through the attritubutes of the car in detail. He made the car buying process a positive one by building a positive relationship and eliminating the all too frequent antagonistic type process that exists in today's environment. Ron Channell was interested in selling me a vehicle but at the same time it wasn't all about that he also had no problem talking to me on a personal level as if he had known me for years and that really surprized me considering the past experience i have had with other dealerships that just wanted to sell you a vehicle have you sign the paperwork and send you out the door. Kevin Morton in service department was always very open with me and always let me know what was going every step of the way when my vehicle is in service. i CAN'T find one thing bad to say about this dealership at all

This experience was bad from the very beginning. I wanted to purchase a used Chrysler 300. I found the car on line a Auto Trader.com. When I arrived at the dealership the first thing I noticed was that the car was very dirty inside. After test driving the car I liked the performance and decided to purchase the vehicle. I told the salesman that I had applied for a loan through my credit union and I would be back the next day to finalize the deal. The very next day I contacted the salesman Joe Holden and informed him I was approved by my credit union and wanted to come in to purchase the vehicle I asked him what I needed to bring he said "all we need is you". My credit union told me to provide a purchase order and they would cut the check. Upon my arrival at the dealership the saleman Joe Holden said, we need to make certain you are who you say you are. He asked that I complete a form. He assured me that every customer completes this form for security reasons since 911. So I completed the form. Joe Holden told me that I was next in line to see the finance manager. I waited over 45 minis. When my turn came I walked in the finance manager's office she was sitting behind her desk she barely even looked up at me, nor did she extend her hand to introduce herself. She just sat behind that desk looking as if she was mad at the world. She starts out saying that she had run my credit and of course I was outraged. Joe Holden had lied to me and used his form to obtain my SS#. He provided the information to the finance manager and she ran my credit after I specifically told the salesmen not to because I had already been approved by my credit union. She said she had no proof that I was approved by the credit union. She said I would not be able to take delivery of the car unless I went with her finance company at a much higher rate. I explained to her that my credit union had already approved me at 4.75%, why would I take delivery at a higher rate. At his point she was even more rude and mean spirited. I asked to speak with the manager Shawn Frick. I explained to him that I was quite upset and that I may get a little loud he replled, "Well there's the door you can leave right now". I was appalled. I explained that I was upset over the treatment I was receiving from the salesman and the finance manager that my credit was run against my wishes and the salesmen obtained my social security number under false pretenses the finance manger was trying to sell me a vehicle at a much higher interest rate after I had already been approved by my credit union at a much lower rate. Shawn Frick said " There are many places to buy a car you do not have to buy one from Tate". He was quite rude and condescending. I left the dealership feeling angry and humiliated This dealership is cold has no ambiance. My feeling is all they want to do is sell cars and they could care less about how they treat their customers. I did purchase a car the very next day from another dealer and the experience was great.

I had my truck worked on by Tate Dodge; the pinion seal on my 07 Dodge Ram had started to leak, which I found out is a common failure on these trucks; so since I was under warranty (20K Miles); I took the car in to have it repaired; got the truck back spick and span; but I noticed like I normally do when I put the car into the dealer for servicing, I ususally turn the stereo/hvac off, lift up the center console/3rd seat and put my personal things away. This time I got the truck back, my console was down and my rear power window was open; remind you that it was also raining outside. This really pissed me off, cause I have people messing with my things. I got a post card in the mail rating there work and complained about the window being open and the truck being dirty inside (grease stains on carpet) from sloppy mechanics (my truck is absolutely mint). OK, now.... 3 months have passed and the pinion seal is leaking again; I call up my SA (John Erbe) and tell him whats happening; he tells me to drop it off. Again I do the samething; turn off the radio/hvas and lift up the 3rdseat/console; drop the truck off to Tate Dodge Service of Glen Burnie, MD. A week later they call me, and tell me the car is ready and explain to me why it started leaking again. I pick the car up , and right away I notice my console is down again and this time it has some nasty as* grease stains on it as well as the carpet, door panel and steering wheel; wtf these guys don't know to clean the car up after they service it and why the f*(^ was my console down? I am very particular about my vehicles especially when it comes to asthetics. Someone in the service dept of tate needs to tell there mechanics to return the vehicles as they were picked up.
