Simply the greatest customer service experience that I have ever had when purchasing a car. I bought two Ford Transit passenger vans for my company from Tony. They were not exactly what I was expecting and there was a slight discrepancy from what the ad indicated. Tony went above and beyond in making sure that I was satisfied and he will now have a lifelong client.

i always dread the car buying experience but this time it was different. I came out earlier in the day and Jimmy helped me look at a few cars. Came back later after work and Ryan helped me compare the 2 vehicles that i was interested in. I got a great price on the car that I wanted. Ryan and Frank in finance were able to get me the financing that I needed. Ryan even gave me a tutorial on the navigation/radio/climate Sync panel and synced my phone for me. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Very happy with my vehicle!

I am very pleased with the service I receive at Santa Margarita Ford. However I was not very happy with having to pay over $450 to have a headlight replaced! I blame Ford engineering for not having foresight enough to design a headlight that didn't require disassembling the front end for access!

We ordered our edge back in July 2015. There were many delays which almost doubled our wait time. Tom and Santa margarita ford kept us informed and were very professional throughout the experience. Further, after finally having the vehicle for a week, something was wrong with the electrical system and nothing would work. Again, Tom and Santa margarita ford was professional and worked with us to resolve the situation. Our contract was unwound and another edge was ordered. Ford can thank Santa margarita ford for our loyalty! Several times through this frustrating experience, We were tempted to give up on ford products all together. Santa margarita ford salvaged that relationship!

I am very pleased with my Ford Edge and the service at Rancho Santa Margarita Ford. I am a first time Ford owner and purchased my vehicle using the Costco auto program. I got the exact car I wanted even though the 2015 had just been released and was scarce at the time. The service department also did an outstanding job on my first scheduled visit. Unfortunately I was sick that day and they were busy, amazingly my car was done extremely quick and I was on my way home immediately. Great service. 5 stars all the way"....and I love my car

I came in because a low tire pressure notification had come on. I did not have an appointment. Someone helped me immediately, my car was taken back and all the tires were checked and aligned. I'm a leasing type person because I like a new car every few years and don't see the need to purchase. I like the service plans also on leased cars. It makes taking care of the car a lot easier. In fact I actually was set to re-lease a Toyota Camry and on a whim I did a test drive on a Ford Fusion just to compare cars. Well...there wasn't even a comparison. I liked the Fusion right away and decided overnight to get the Fusion Hybrid. From Susan Grimm, my first contact at Santa Margarita Ford who provided me initial information, to Robbie who arranged the test drive and quickly helped me pick the car, everyone made my wife and I feel at ease. Robbie was very positive through the entire transaction. This was a seamless transaction and I have Santa Margarita Ford to thank. Needless to say I am very very happy.

i could not be more pleased with the recent service of my 2013 Edge or the availability from Ford to get the vehicle in and back to me in a timely manner. Staff is super courteous and very polite. Not only did the service department take care of the scheduled maintenance, but also handled an item of concern that was right on the warranty expiration date. That is what I really thought was great.... Was not treated like a number to be squeezed for additional money. Businesses just don't do that anymore.

I made an appointment to have my car services while I waited. The service department was ready for me with the paperwork ready to go and all I had to do was verify my cell phone number. I was consulted twice about non-scheduled needed service items, which I approved to have the additional work done, and the service was still completed 10 minutes ahead of schedule. I didn't even notice the time as I was able to wait in an comfortable area with a large TV. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else!

October 2015: my Fusion decided not to accelerate. Supposedly, many models including mine experienced a problem with the Electronic Throttle Body which caused a warning light to come on. Acceleration was sluggish. After doing some research, Ford didn't officially announce a recall but rather called it a "Customer Satisfaction Program" in which they would fix the problem for no charge. It officially ended earlier this year, but fortunately my car was still covered. However, I was NOT notified by Ford about this problem/campaign. When I asked the service rep about that, he just responded, "You should have received it." What kind of response is that? How about an apology for the inconvenience? I had to find out about it on my own. RSM Ford took care of the problem but they failed to call me (Saturday afternoon) when the car was ready. Is it that difficult to make a 10 second phone call? Had I not called them, I would have had to wait until Monday morning at 7 am to pick up my car. ( I start work at 7:30am so that would have been impossible.) At least they gave me ride home after I dropped off the car.Hey, Ford. How about better informing your customers on a timely basis?

I purchased a 2016 Ford Mustang from Santa Margarita Ford and the entire process was pleasant. My salesman, Blake, was very helpful and knowledgeable and was there to answer any questions or concerns along the way. They worked with me on the price and were very flexible with the delivery and purchase of the vehicle. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering buying a car. The only thing that I would change is that the car had an empty gas tank when I drove off the lot. This is the first dealership I have worked with that has not offered to fill the tank for me. Other than that, the process was perfect.

My car was in for two recalls, the transmission computer needed updating and the door latches needed replacing. Timing was perfect as the transmission was starting to get a little jerky on gear shifts.The staff were straight forward and helpful, I dropped my car off the nigh before and it was ready to pickup at 3pm the next day. No issues no fuss, plus they did an inspection of the car for any other issues and found none.It was nice to know that my little car is in full working order and driving it is a lot smoother since the transmission computer was updated.Thanks

However, I should not that it took 3 hours to get a new key fab. After waiting for 3 hours in the VIP Lounge and not hearing anything, I called the Service Dept. and Peter told me that my vehicle was ready, but he still had to figure out the billing, as if it was a problem to him. About 10 minutes later, Peter called me and told me that my vehicle was ready. When I went to the service counter and paid my bill, I mentioned to Peter than my vehicle did not appear to be washed. He went to check on it and then had it washing, so I waited again.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been looking for a commuter car as I drive 60+ miles/day for work. After test driving a couple of options, I had my heart set on the Ford C-Max energi. While searching for a dealer, my wife and I chose to do business with Santa Margarita Ford and we were pleasantly surprised on how amazing they were. Our salesman was David. He was super knowledgeable about the C-max energi and all of the benefits with driving an energi car. He was also very patient with my wife and I as we asked tons of questions. After deciding on the 301A model, David quickly got to work with all the paper work and we started working with the Finance manager, John, within 20 minutes. John was extremely knowledgeable with the process and walked us through all of the paper work in record time. We were in a rush to make a flight the night we bought the car and they were super accommodating with our needs as we spent less than 45 minutes with paperwork, which is unbelievably fast imho. Robbie Moore found our dream car and had it waiting out front when we arrived. We'd been searching for the right color expedition EL at FOUR other dealerships with awful experiences before this dealership finally got the one we wanted. Robbie took extra care to get it there quickly after it sat at the train station for a week. He took lots of time to show us the different features and how to work everything after we bought it. And we can still call him with questions! Join Hadden was a super nice financial guy and took care of the paperwork without being pushy. Santa Margarita Ford is World Class. I drove 60 miles to this dealership based on the recommendation of a friend. I knew what I wanted based on their helpful website and just hoping for good service and a great deal. I got both. David Olender approached and asked if I needed help. I said I was ok for now and that I'd let him know if I had questions or a request. To his credit, he left me be until I asked to take a ride in a 2015 F150 that I knew I wanted to drive home. He answered all my questions, pointed out the many features and new bells and whistles. No hard selling, just info, knowledge and a respectful attitude. Once it came time to crunch numbers I was shocked at the value they gave me for my trade-in. I had always thought this was a car dealer gouge...that you always get ripped off on the trade in. Not true. They were absolutely fair with the trade-ins worth and the overall terms were put to me in a manner of choices. Depending on down payment, years financed and interest rate I was able to get the terms that best fit my needs. When it came time to finance and doc signing John Hadden was courteous, bright and funny. Again, no hard selling on extras and warranty choices. John explained what was offered, Some I took and some I did not. He accepted my "No thank yous" and moved on. His professionalism and wit were appreciated. The owner, Jim Graham, stopped by twice during the process to make sure I was being treated right. That was not expected and says volumes about the dealerships obvious success. He even invited me to an employee hamburger cooking contest that was taking place! The employees seemed to be glad to be working for Jim. Again, a great sign of a well run business. I love my new truck and will not only strongly recommend Santa Margarita Ford to my family and friends, I will be purchasing my wife's next car from them. This is how a dealership should be run...competitors beware.

In 2007 my dad and I bought the Ford Edge, my is charcoal grey and his is black. We loved the Edge and still do. I just hit 90,000 miles and it still looks like new. I loved my Edge so much that a co-worker and friend of mine went and tested one out and bought one with the back up camera and all the bells and whistles. People have stopped me in parking lots and on the road to ask how I like the Edge and I always tell them it is the BEST!Recently my friend's husband went back and bought the new Ford Escape, my son and daughter-in-law bought a new Escape and I like it so much that I went and bought a new Escape but I am also keeping the Edge for now. I love the staff at Santa Margarita Ford, they are a great group of people with excellent customer service. I purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport. Robbie came to assist us and was very patient. I told him my plan was to shop first then purchase later, after I had made my decision. Robbie was very knowledgeable with all vehicles and how they operated. I test drove 3-4 different cars. I let Robbie know I was indecisive and would return a different day, Robbie said, "no pressure, when ever you're ready." We have 6 Fords that have been bought from Santa Margarita Ford, ranging from Expeditions to a Focus ST. We continue to return to Santa Margarita Ford do to their commitment to the customer. Either purchasing or just ordinary service, the staff goes out of their way to make sure we are happy. Example I called Saturday at 1:30 to see if they had time to do service on my Expedition, Rodger in service said no problem. I was leaving Sunday on and extend trip and forgot I need an oil change on the car before we drove several hundred miles. I had it there by 2:00 and they had it back to me completed and washed by 3:30. That made my Saturday a lot easier. Thanks Rodger and the service team.

We have just purchased a 2015 Ford Transit Wagon to be used for a Senior Residential Home complex. We were looking for a 10 seat passenger van, but was told by many that there were none available. Going to Santa Margarita Ford dealership we were introduced to Tom Glockner, their STV Vehicle specialist. He went out of his way to find us the exact van that we wanted and needed. He helped us with the additional accessories that we needed by getting us the information from the "Mobility Specialists" and working out the details needed for our additional supplies. After we purchased the vehicle he continued to work with us in transporting the van back and forth until it was complete for us. The Dealership also offered to service the other vehicles which the residence owns since we were now customers of theirs. This will be a great help to everyone.

I made an appointment online but when I got there I mentioned that I made an appt online for 8AM. I was told that the site does not work. What a thing to hear when I took the time to make an appt for my service. If the site does not work why isn't it being fixed? Sometime when I go in for the Works oil change they deduct some off the price because they don't have to rotate my tires. This time it was not done and I was a little disappointed. I know service is a competetive thing in the auto industry and it would be nice if customers who buy cars from your dealership could get some consideration on prices for service. I think it would build better customer relations for future sales.

They advised me immediately what shoud be done. Upon completion of the first evaluation, they determined the best solution. I worked with car salesman David Olender at Santa Margarita Ford on my purchase of a 2014 Escape. He was very knowledgeable of the Escape and we discussed the purchase of a new versus a used vehicle. David made the price negotiation process very smooth as we attempted to meet a price on the car with management. After the agreed upon price the paper work went very quickly. The finance manager John Hadden prepared all the forms while I waited in the showroom with coffee and TV. Once in his office it was a quick process to get everything signed and complete the sale. During the final drive away process, which included a detail wash and full tank of gas, David showed me most of the features of the Escape and told me to come back anytime if I needed more help. He also offered to setup my cell phone on the vehicles Bluetooth system.

My actual service appointment went great--the only issue I had was that they did not tell me up front how long to expect the service to take. Other than that, the staff was friendly, explained everything, and the waiting area was fine.One additional point of feedback though--I originally called and scheduled an appointment over the phone and explained what was going on with my car (including what type of car I had) but when I showed up on Saturday, I was told that the technician needed to service my car did not work on the weekends. I would have expected the person scheduling my appt to know that. So I made an unnecessary trip out there on Saturday only to come back on Tuesday.

My husband and I had been to many dealerships looking for a car for me. My son brought me to Ford and we test drove a Fusion with Charlie, he was great but the car was a little too much for me. My husband brought me back to Ford a week or so later to take a look at the Focus and Blake Ruggles helped us out. Blake was amazing as he put up with a million questions, lots of initial indecision on my part and a few visits to the dealership. He never made me feel pressured or rushed. After we decided the Focus was what we wanted, Blake was able to get the exact car I wanted. Then of course came the dreaded Finance Dept., but I will say that John Hadden made the experience very easy and smooth. John was very patient as he answered all my questions and we felt very satisfied with all of the financing details. After the purchase of the Ford Focus Titanium, there were a few glitches that were unforeseeable, but Blake and John handled them and I felt they always had my best interest at heart. We hadn't bought a new car in many years and this was truly a great experience! I am a Rancho Santa Margarita resident and will definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and co-workers.

I am upset only with ford for not having a safer 4x4 truck to take to the mountains. it is a truck and I don't think rotors need to be replaced along with new drilled disk at 20k miles. bad safety product for ford trucks. service mgr gina and roger helped with the price for replacement but ford didn't or wouldn't do anything. if their staff would transfer and open a Chevrolet dealership I'd be there...

The experience dealing with salesman Mike Blumenthal and Finance manager John Hadden has been the best and most efficient of any of the vehicles I have ever purchased or leased. The transaction took minutes from start to finish with no haggle . I have dealt with many less scrupulous car sales people recently and I can certainly vouch for the professionalism, efficiency, honesty and courtesy extended by Mr. Blumenthal and Mr. Hadden . I had reached out to many dealerships and only Mike Blumenthal responded and stood by his response throughout the experience. The total time spent deciding on the vehicle and writing up the lease contract with John was less than 30 minutes which is unheard of but a fact .I have run a successful business for 26 years and highly recommend you call Mike Blumenthal if you are interested in a Ford product and insist on having John Hadden do the paperwork. I also appreciated receiving a personalized signed letter of appreciation from Santa Margarita Ford President Jim Graham. By the way the Ford plug-in hybrids are amazing hi-tech vehicles and the fed and state rebates are excellent not to mention access to car pool lane as a single driver.

The experience with RSM Ford started out well and ran into a major snag when the car that was promised to my wife and I was no longer available because someone else had, apparently, put a deposit down on the same car without the knowledge of my sales team. We did not find out about this until 3 days after I had completed the purchase paperwork. Also, the car that we did eventually purchase was represented as the same car I initially agreed to buy (2015 Limited 4WD) with $3,000 of additional features. It wasn't until we brought the car home that we realized the car was a 2014 model. This information was never disclosed to us. The car seems to be a good purchase but I was less than pleased with the process. Thanks!

My husband brought my car in for an estimate on some work. We asked to schedule an apt. but the person I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about and what parts I needed and tried telling me I needed more than what I did. After I was transferred to a few other people it was discovered that parts had to be ordered. After a few days I received a call saying the parts were in. I then scheduled my apt. but when my husband dropped off the car they told him the parts weren't there and they couldn't do all the work and that my car would need to be sent out for a color match (which was never discussed before). He was just going to leave the car for an oil change instead but after an hour they actually found the part. The work was done well but the parts and service departments seem very disorganized.

Alarm for low pressure went off in car for the first time so I stopped by the dealer to check air pressure in tires. Found a screw in back left rear tire. Technician checked all four tires for proper inflation of tires and repaired the one tire that had the screw in it. Was at the dealer about 1/2 hour at most!

I was somewhat dreading on coming in to take a test drive. I was all prepared for the hard sell before I would be able to leave. I was shocked with the "no - pressure" approach. I left feeling oddly confused because I did not have to justify not taking the car on my first test drive. I came back two more times and brought the car. Our salesperson, Scott, and the sales manager, Ellen, worked closely with us for about a month prior to our purchase to ensure that we got the car that was exactly right for our family of 5. The financing paperwork went smoothly and efficiently. Post-sale, there were a few repairs that needed to be made. Ellen made that transaction very easy, giving us another Explorer to drive for the day, and even detailing our car before we got it back. After working real hard to get a good price for my 2013 Fusion Hybrid, the dealer socked me with a lease payment quote so high that I turned around and walked out.I was so turned off by this tactic that I went and purchased a Lincoln instead.
