We drove out to Puente Hills from Long Beach after a sour experience at our local Subaru dealership. We met with Ethan who was beyond helpful. He was very kind, patient, and provided every bit of information we requested. He truly went above and beyond. We also met with his manager who's name I believe is Eric. Eric had such a cheerful attitude it was contagious. Eric didn't pressure us and wasn't rude at all. Instead he modified the deal several times at our request. Lastly, we met with Linda in finance to sign all our paperwork. She went over every detail several times to make sure we understood our purchase in full. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Definitely the best ive had in any car dealership. It was worth the drive and we will return for our next vehicle purchase.

I worked with Sherry and Jon (J.R.) at Puente Hills Subaru to get my brand new WRX, and their outstanding service and professionalism amazed me. In the maze of shady car salespeople, this dealership was the light at the end of the tunnel for me. They were fast, responsive, and dedicated to service. This was obvious by the fact that they stayed over AN HOUR past closing until 10 p.m. to make sure that I was taken care of. They are the definition of customer service!

Great place, have been taking all of our Subarus to these guys for service last several years, cars go in dirty come out clean both under the hood and outside, service writers are professional they know their business I feel very comfortable taking my cars to these guys

Very unreliable finance department. Got financed through my credit union, finance manager collected the check paying off in full the truck I purchased. However, never got me off the automated finance request for vehicle loans system! My credit rating dropped significantly due to soooooo many credit inquiries on behalf of lenders, banks, credit unions, etc. Tried calling anyone and everyone in finance.......never available, not responding, not reliable! Never buying from them unless they shape up.

This dealership is mad shady. Bottom line: the manager refused to honor the agreed upon price for an Outback because we refused to buy a warranty from them. They tried to sell us a $1K warranty for $3K. Full story: We called 20+ dealerships in SoCal to get the best deal on an Outback. After a few back and forths, my husband and I agreed on a price with Christian over the phone, which was allegedly approved by the manager. We got better offers from other dealerships but this was the most convenient for us. Based on our phone agreement, we drove 100+ miles to sign paperwork and pick up the car. When we arrived, everyone was super nice and accommodating. We signed some paperwork and just needed the final figure to go to the bank for a cashier's check.That's when the bait and switch happened. Christian kept saying that he only agreed to the price because he thought that we would buy a warranty. But on the phone, he only asked whether we were open to buying a warranty, which of course we were interested. But we never discussed price or terms of the warranty. And when we got there, we knew that $3K was way overpriced. We were obviously furious when Christian said that they wouldn't honor the price that we had already agreed on.The manager was so incredibly rude. When we told him we got a better deal elsewhere and showed him written proof of the offers, he accused us of making up those quotes. So ridiculous. We obviously left but were furious for wasting 5+ hours of our time and being complete jerks. We bought our Outback two days later from South Coast Subaru without warranty. We have received quotes for as low as $900 for the warranty.

My sales rep was named Marvin and he did an amazing job. He was incredibly patient and accommodating. He worked with management to get me the car I wanted, in my preferred color, with the exact features I was looking for. He also price matched a vehicle that I was interested in from San Diego. He was very friendly, informative and showed me how to use the in-car technology... he even set up my Bluetooth. He was extremely personable and a pleasure to work with. Went in for an oil change, drove in, stepped out of car and very quickly I was approached by one of the workers and asked me what he can do for me today. I told him what I needed, he filled out the paperwork and had me wait about 30 minutes and then he told me everything was good to go. Oil changed, fluids replenished and etc.Great experience.

After years of abuse by the Mercedes Service Managers, where I was little more then the victim of a monthly sales commission bonus plan for them, I reached my goal by being treated fairly and respectfully by an auto dealer. After test driving it, and the Crosstrek, I knew the Crosstrek was right for me. He has the same car which gave me more insight into the car. The size is just right for me to drive comfortably and feel as safe as possible. As the process moved on he introduced me to the other gentlemen who handled the financing and completing the purchase of my Subaru. I am so happy to have chosen Subaru and can't say enough good things about the entire experience. It was a good day, and Marvin's expertise, enthusiasm and manner was a good match for me. I walked out with a car that day, and that's what a wanted to do.

I asked for an explanation as to why my car has gone into a stall mode when excellerating after a stop. The car is made that way was my explanation and I told them I was not happy with the car. From the start of our relationship with Puente Hills Subaru in June we were treated with respect and friendliness. Zang, our salesman, was especially helpful from answering our questions to keeping us up on the progress of the car we had ordered to "how do we operate all this new technology on our new car?" He seemed to go out of his way to accommodate us in everyway. The rest of the staff from the manager to the credit dept. down to the parts dept. was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Service department took me right at my appointment time. The representative who took me in inspected my car and after inspection explained the process of what service was going to be done on my car and the approximate time it would take. The service was done faster than the approximate time, and the service staff explained what they noticed and fixed on the car afterwards. (Topped off liquids, put in appropriate air pressure on tires, etc) Overall a friendly and very experience. Would recommend to a friend.

As we entered the showroom we were immediately greeted by Christopher Tiusiu. He asked if we had an appointment with any other sales rep. That was very considerate and professional. He asked us what we wanted to see and lead us directly to the vehicle we had in mind. While we inspected the vehicle, Chris made suggestions for upgrades to the base model which we were interested in. We knew what we wanted and quickly settled on a price; it was not painful or annoying. This was a good learning experience. My wife and i had a rather enjoyable conversation with him. Chris was thorough in his explanation of the vehicle's controls and features. We are very happy with our purchase. He even sent us a hand written letter to follow up with our purchase. My experience at Subaru was fine.I ordered a car so I new what the cost was going to be, there was no dealing as if I was going to buy one off the lot. Your sales advisor Mick Salas was kind and courteous. I would give him a 10 out of 10, but for your dealership I can only rate it a 9 at this time, because I spent very little time during the car buying process. I can say that the car came earlier than I thought it would, The sales advisor said the car would be ready late January 2015 the car came the first week of January 2015, I ordered the car in late November 2014, To my surprise I got a late, but early Christmas present for myself.

Currently i am going through a rough patch in my life. Divorce. I owned a 2013 Civic Si coupe with 26k on the odometer and some aftermarket wheels. I had gone to at least 6 other dealerships, including Carmax trying to get the best deal on my car. I needed this car gone so that i would not have to go to mediation over debt. I gave Joshua Teets "Goggles" a call. He assured me that i could get in a 2015 WRX. I decided to give it a shot. Josh and Tommy are very straight forward and do not beat around the bush. They are also very accommodating and very professional salesman. I was shocked to see my offer for my vehicle. The max blue book value with after market wheels and still got 16k. Shortly after that we talked numbers and closed the deal. The whole experience was one of the least stressful car purchases in my life. The family at Puente Hills Subaru are very friendly, not pushy, and will do all they can do in there power to get you in the vehicle you want and can afford. I highly recommend going in and seeing Josh Teets or Tommy, or any of the professionals that work at Puente Hills Subaru. They will make you confrontable and will not pressure you into a sale.

The internet sales people are very pushy, trying to get you to come into the dealership at any cost. I was lied to and told that they could beat a price that I presented so I drove 40 minutes to test drive and put a deposit down on the car (it was in transit). When I got there everything went smooth enough until suddenly the sales person I was talking to left and came back with a manager. Immediately the manager attempted to reset negotiations by starting back at MSRP (xxx??). After a short time of negotiations I decided to just leave because our numbers were nowhere near each other. Even when they finally came down to my price it wasn't what I was told via e-mail (that they would beat it). Garbage.

I took my mother in law to see Joshua Teets at Puente Hills Subaru to look at a new car for her. She wanted a Ford originally but i told her about the safety ratings and AWD standard on the Subaru and it peaked her interest. He was a HUGE help, got her into a brand new 2015 Forester and she LOVES it. He gave the best test drive, actually took us off road to show the cool features the new Subaru have. We visited the dealer a week before we knew we were ready so that we could compare the Subaru WRX to another vehicle. He wasn't pushy and he understood what kind of vehicle we were looking for. When the time came to purchase the vehicle, Larry fought tooth and nail to get us the price that we wanted and the best deal possible. Larry is an easygoing, personable, and no-pressure salesman. The dealership was very fair and we hope that Larry is still there when we become interested in purchasing another Subaru. If he so happens to move dealerships, we would track him down. He is an asset to the team and deserves to be commended for his work. There needs to be more salesmen like him.

My son bought a used car here several weeks ago. The dealer leaves messages more than two weeks later saying that they could not obtain financing and he needs to bring the car back. My son then realizes that by law that, after 10 days, the contract cannot be cancelled by the dealer, they must honor the terms even if they carry the loan themselves. . So the dealer then says ok you win and tries to have him come in and sign a new and "better contract" which would open up the 10 day window again! Very sneaky! He refuses to do so without specific language in the new contract saying the 10-day dealer right to cancel will not apply. Obviously, they refuse and he is forced to seek means to protect himself. Beware of yo-yo financing here!! If you MUST do business here, bring your own financing and don't budge or you will have a nightmare!

I inquired about a 2014 outback through cars.com. I promptly recieved a reply from Daniel. They quoted me a very agresive price. Best price i found. Very nice. No tricks. They did want to roll in a warranty. As with any car dealer it is your responsibility to know what you are buying. I told them i didnt want it. No big deal. They ended up having to do a dealer trade to get the car i wanted. Daniel delivered the car to my door the next day. Very pleased. Daniel was a pleasure to work with.

We went to Puente Hills Subaru looking to purchase an Impreza Sport. We spent hours there negotiating and finally reached a deal. Our sales woman, Kat, congratulated us on a deal being reached and shook our hands. We were happy. She left to run our credit. When she returned, somehow the deal had changed. They tried to up the monthly payment. We stood strong, demanding the deal we had already agreed upon. Next, they came back and had raised our down payment. Their excuse was that someone had made a mathematical error on their end. We told them that was not our fault; we had already reached an agreement. It was so underhanded and shady. They kept trying to jerk us around. Finally after hours wasted and unnecessary stress, we walked out. This was the worst car purchasing experience I have been through. Unethical dealership; extremely disappointed!

Be sure to do a search on "car salesman tricks" before visiting Puente Hills Subaru. I saw a used Outback that they were selling and stopped by to check it out. I told the salesperson, Katrin, that I had my own financing and that I wouldn't want any "extras" that dealerships like to throw in. After the test drive, the used car sales manager, Fred, was in her office. I told him what I could afford at an out the door price, and it was a fairly low offer, I wasn't expecting them to take it but figured I would ask. He asked if I would be interested in financing it through them if they could get me a better rate. The red flag went up here because this is where paperwork gets tricky and the price of the car would magically go up. I took him up on the offer, I was just more cautious should anything out of the ordinary come about...and it did. Fred left taking my blank check from my bank (Watch out for this, common trick with dealers) Another floor manager (Wally from what I was told later) came in with the finance offer. I spotted "Gap" and "Warranty" at the bottom of the paperwork right away and also so a payment $100 high than what my bank was offering and my bank had a shorter term, and the interest rate was no better. They were trying to "sneak in" extras that I not only didn't ask for, but also told Katrin ahead of time that I was not interested in. I told Wally what I had to spend that I had no interest in their financing and if they couldn't accept my offer than just to tell me that they couldn't accept my offer. Had they just done this to begin with I probably would have checked out another car on their lot. I hate haggling and Wally kept trying to get me to go higher on the price. I got tired of it and asked my check back so I could leave...he still kept trying to haggle. I asked several times to get my check back (I lost count) and he finally left. Katrin came back with my check, I left and as I was leaving she was insistent that I come back inside and Fred could get me the price I was offering. I told her to have him call me...it was getting late and I had to leave. Fred called me while I was driving back and through out a price that was still $1000 more than what I offered and I told him no and that all they have to do is tell me they can't take my offer rather than doing this haggling. He told me I was a difficult customer. I'm not sure how he meant that, but I certainly didn't take it as a compliment and I wrote the General Manager, Rafeh, a lengthy email about my experience and how I was treated. I told him I would give him 7 days to respond along with written apologies from Wally and Fred prior to giving any negative reviews (people should have a chance to right their wrongs). Other than getting a call from Aaron trying to sell me the car at still a higher price than what I was offering, I have heard nothing from the Manager...so here's my negative review. They lost points for taking my check and not returning it right away when asked, messing around with the financing, calling me "difficult", pressuring me into trying to buy the car and for the manager never responding to me. Maybe this was an off day for them, but I have a feeling a lot of people get scammed into their sneaky ways but don't realize it or just figure it is expected of a car dealership. If you're doing things their way with financing, warranties, etc. I'm sure you won't have any problems at all with them. Just make sure you do your research and walk out if you start to feel uncomfortable.

We bought our car at Puente Hills Subaru, the experience at the time wasn't bad but now we are in Florida and are not able to get the car licensed, and cannot drive it now for 4 weeks. We bought the car in April and still they say it might be a month to get the info to us. We are ready to have the car repossessed. The dealership is no help at all!!! They stink!! Don't know what they are doing!! They lie!!! The salesman was great, the title and finance people don't know their business and just make promises they don't keep. No-one knows what to do, we are consulting a lawyer, don't know what else to do. This has greatly affected our love of our Subaru, probably won't get another one after we get done dealing with this!!!

They were the easiest guys that I have ever bought a car from. They worked with us on the price and helped get my daughter a great financing rate. This was her first time buying a car and they were exceptionally nice and helpful to her. When we went to pic up the car the next day, not only was it ready to go, but they actually threw in a couple of little extras as a surprise. Tonight they called to make sure shes happy with everything and to let her know to call if anything came up. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for a new or used car.

We were sold a lemon car. Despite the defects we noted at the dealership, Floyd made the bold claim that all defects on the car will be taken care of. "Just send me the invoice, and I'll take care of it", he said. Of course, like a true car salesman, none of his claims turned out to have any bases at all. It was impossible to get ahold on him, and when we finally did, he went back on his words and claimed that he never said such a thing.Avoid them like a plague, they sell lemon cars, and no customer service at all to help you out afterwards.

Contacted all of the southern California Subaru dealers via email looking for the best price on a 2011 Subaru Outback. Most of the other dealers were slow to respond, and when they did, it was usually with a so-so price. Logan at Puente Hills Subaru was always very quick to respond to email & gave me the best price up front. Didn't waste a bunch of my time haggling over the price. I ended up ordering the exact car I wanted & brought it home yesterday. This was an excellent, low-stress, car buying experience. Not only that, but this dealership has the biggest inventory around and a nice customer waiting area (handy with kids in tow). I will certainly return to this dealer for future Subaru purchases!

Over the past couple days, I've had a couple of e-mail correspondences with a salesman at Puente Hills Subaru. Brian Champagne started off friendly enough.. but then just became rude and pushy. He just kept telling me I HAD to purchase the car by 7pm over and over. It took several e-mails just to find out what options were installed at the MSRP price. When I told him that I planned to keep looking, because the car had options installed that I was not interested in, I got an e-mail from his manager that was very condescending:I'll be sure to avoid this dealership at all costs when I finally decide to make my purchase. I already know the price they gave me was not the "best deal out there," as he stated.. since I already have an offer that is better than what they gave. Even if I didn't find something cheaper, I'd be willing to pay a little more, just for a better dealership experience."I think we have done everything to earn your business. I just think you don't deserve it. I will make sure we stop contacting you at this point. You got the best deal out there and you just dont see it.
