I loved my Golf TDI, and the only other VW I could imagine owning was the Golf R. To say the Golf R is hard to find and harder to buy is an understatement. But sales rep. Omar Ali worked with me over the course of weeks and found one . There are horror stories on the web about other dealers pitting customers against each other in bidding wars for these cars. That was not my experience at Northampton VW. Omar was extremely helpful and a straight shooter through the whole process. And the Golf R is a dream.

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They were not the typical pushy, aggressive salesmen. Elvis helped me find a vehicle that suits me best. I told him exactly what I needed and what was in my price range, which he respected, and lead me the way. Greg, the manager, helped me with negotiations on pricing, and gave me a more than generous trade in value for my old car. Omar was very friendly and happy to help any way he could. Chris, the finance guy, helped me with lowering my monthly payments and interest rate. He helped me find the best package that was right for me. When my car was ready to go, Melanie gave me a very thorough walk through of all the features on the vehicle. She also set up my Bluetooth from my phone to the vehicle. Finally, I got to meet Carla Cosenzi, she was really sweet. I will definitely be doing future business with this dealership, and will be referring my friends and family. Came in for an inspection, knowingly had check engine light on- needed diagnostic test! Ross did an exceptional job explaining everything and really making me feel as though I was important and it isn't always about the money, although I spent much more than I was intending, my car is now back to like new! My Bluetooth was not working on my car, it still isn't, but Ross had not only one but two other employees come out and try to help- didn't succeed but the effort was appreciated! THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT SERVICE!

I spent a lot of time here in the span of a week, and my sales rep Keith went above and beyond to put me in a car. He remembered exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle and he never forgot, I only said it once and it stuck. Keith and the rest at Northampton Volkswagen kept at it and made sure that I'd be driving away in a car at a good price and never kept any info from me, everything was above board and honest. It is obvious that Northampton Volkswagen is in a growth period and as such has much to learn especially in the customer service arena. while our experience was overall positive, there were few areas where our comments might help to make future sales more pleasant. First, you attempted to harpoon our cash sale decision by saying "no-one pays cash anymore" this I believe was an attempt to have us finance and thus make more for VW. Second we were told that we would have to have a cashiers check for the sale when we could have used a debit card and saved a trip to the bank. third, when we arrived back with a check for the amount vw printed out, we were told we were 19 cents short and a great ceremony ensued to have us pay the 19 cents for which a separate receipt was made.It seems that these nettlesome issues could be avoided by more preparation and a bit friendlier approach. If I had been vw I would have covered the 19 cents and said "thanks for the rushed trip to the bank"We would like to congratulate vw for the employment of Elvis, Ryan and Melanie who all made our experience worthwhile.

Satisfied? I should also say satisfied along with happy. Car buying is traditionally a stressful experience but Paul and the NoHo staff created a very low stress experience. While I personally tend to not mind stress, my partner is very very much affected by stress or wrangling during the car buying process. This is absent at NoHo VW.I am the type that always feels a better deal is around the corner but like I said, I am a satisfied customer. My partner is the type that "if you give me what I want at the price I can afford" and they're satisfied.

I purchased a VW Golf TSI last year in the summer and unfortunately the car seemed to have some problems - all covered under warranty but problems nevertheless. I decided to opt out of the car and was very concerned that I would get "left in the lurch." True to my initial experience last year with Omar, Noho VW came through again and gave me a deal on a GTI that recognized some of the hassle of needing to switch cars. It was painless. I met with Angel and he and the Sales Manager Eddie were excellent and along with Richard in Finance the whole experience was awesome. Thanks again for great sales experience Noho VW!

I have 2003 Jetta TDI and I absolutely love the car. I was looking for an automatic diesel to make my commute easier and after shopping around I found that Northampton had two TDI Golfs. The red Golf I liked was unavailable but they had a really nice black 2015 Golf with only 16k miles. I live about 3 hours away and went to test drive the car and I loved it. Melanie was very helpful and made sure that any questions I had about the car were answered. I bought the car and the dealership had it registered in my state and delivered it to my house for me. Overall this was a great car buying experience!

I went to the dealership in hope of purchasing a used Jetta I saw on the website. Upon arrival, I found out the vehicle was sold. SO, I started to poke around to see what else they available in my price range. I was pleasantly greeted by Melanie, and she began asking me about what I was looking for. She showed me a few used vehicles since I mentioned I was there for a used vehicle. After showing me a few, she asked what price range I was looking to be around with my payments. After I told her, she mentioned if she could get me into a brand new Jetta for that price, would I be interested. Of course I was skeptical at first, as I didn't have the best credit, but I of course said "if you could, of course I will." So, she goes back and runs some numbers as I waited for the bad news. Well, I didn't get the bad news I was expecting. She got me into a BRAND NEW 2016 Jetta, and got me around the payment I was looking for. I've had the car for around 2 weeks now, and I must say... Every time I get into in, I am thankful she did what she could, took my needs into consideration, and got me into a car that I absolutely love. I can not thank her and Northampton VW enough for what they did for me. I have already began spreading the word about the best place to purchase a new vehicle! Thank you again!

I don't own a Volkswagen - but when I was checking the air in a damaged tire on my Volvo at the gas station next store Sean Luna, Parts Consultant at Northampton VW, stopped to look at my tire and offer advice. I had a hundred mile trip ahead of me, and it was a hot day. He advised me NOT to drive with the gash in my tire, and then made multiple phone calls to see if he could find a replacement in the area for the specific make (Pirelli Scorpio). Since there was none to be had, he offered to have my spare put on then and there in the shop - at no charge.Sean then turned me over to Bob Boyle, Service Manager. Bob not only arranged to have my spare put on, but he had the tires rotated so that there would be less drag from the "doughnut." These two gentlemen are the kind of person anyone in a tough situation (like mine) would be grateful to find. The managers were also very kind. I made it home safely and will always be thankful for the thoughtfulness of the staff at Northampton Volkswagen - extended even to a Volvo driver!

I began the search for a new, used Chrysler Town & Country online by using Edmunds.com. They then directed me to Northampton Volkswagen. As a busy mom of two young children, you can imagine that I conduct most of my research & make the necessary contacts late at night. Well, as soon as I sent out a request for more info, I received an immediate text back. It was 10:30pm at night!! Pleasantly surprised to say the least, I was contacted by one of their internet salesmen, Shawn Andrews. He arranged for me to come in and see the minivan the following day.I have never liked or even looked forward to buying a car and I have to say that I truly LOVED working with these people and even made sure to get their business cards so I could let others know who to deal with. I am a registered dental hygienist who spends most of her day taking about my adorable kiddos, gum disease and flossing but, I'm sure to be raving about Northampton Volkswagen and their wonderful team for many months to come! In fact, I wouldn't hesitate to make the 45 minute ride from Pittsfield to Northampton just to deal with these guys!!Upon arrival, I was greeted by Shawn and then introduced to Jason LeClair the sales consultant. When I say that Jason knows his job, I am not kidding! This is my third foray into minivan life and I know my way around a dealership. He was both warm and friendly, the kind of person who puts you at ease and is not at all pushy. He was extremely easy to talk with and very professional. I felt confident dealing with him, alone with out my husband & kids in tow! **Ladies take note: Jason is NOT the stereotypical "slimy salesman" that we all try to avoid and feel like we have to "shower after talking too" (if you know what I'm saying). Shortly after I arrived, we went for the test drive (there was not a lot of waiting around like you get at some places). I knew I wanted a fully loaded Chrysler Town & Country Touring-L in black and I felt that it was priced accordingly for the options so I proceeded to make the purchase.Myron Callender made signing the paperwork to purchase this gem of a minivan, a complete breeze! There's always a ton of paperwork and he made it quick and easy. All in all, I was in and out in about two hours start to finish (which is unheard of in my experience). Financing was easy and accomplished in a short time (on a very busy Saturday, no less!). I'm sorry that I didn't get the card of the financing specialist but he was great as well and was able to find a loan that met my needs and made me smile.I have not picked it up yet (it's being detailed) but, I am sure to visit this website again and recommend this dealership. I have a VW Passat in my country and I always trusted in this brand. Last week I got a big problem with my Passat here in Massachusetts and at list three garages said me that my car was to throw away. I could not believe it and for that I went to visit Northampton dealership. The reception was fantastic and the diagnostic much better. They were absolutely sincere and professional and they tried to help me in all of the important issues. They understood that other mechanics were cheating me. My English is not very fluent and the people here know nothing about European cars, believe me, I have a long experience in this. My recommendation is, if you have an European car, go to the dilership and if you have a VW, visit Northampton. There, you'll know two amazing people, Ross and Melanie, probably the most understanding guys I meet in this country.Another important thing was that they give me a car during the time they would keep my car for free. The most important for us was that they assumed immediately my bad situation and they started to work and to solve the problem at soon as possible and to find the cheapest way for my pocket. They are really good people, you can trust me.

I brought my car in for a routine oil change and to check on my trunk latch while my car was still covered by the VW Certified extended warranty I received when I purchased the car used. While it was in the garage the service technician found an oil leak that needed repair and was covered by my warranty. I was grateful they saw this and fixed it-- for a $50 deductible.

Bob the Service Manager was extremely helpful and gave me a loaner while they figured out what the issue was with my car. I'm not thrilled to have had a car that had a leaking problem at 11,000 miles but they did a great job of assessing and fixing the problem. Very nice and very helpful!

More impressively I hadn't even signed the paperwork and paid for my service and I had a text message and email showing me through a video with my technician step by step everything that needed repair or replacement since this was a car that was given to me and had no service records.

I had been searching online and on various sites including CL for a used VW Beetle for a second vehicle. On my routine search on Saturday 27 February of the internet I found a VW Beetle that interested me and called the dealership and was transferred to talk to Gerson Alfaro, who was the salesperson. My interest was only to get information about the car but after a pleasant discussion with Gerson and his invitation to come into the dealership to just look at the car, I agreed. My plan was not to actually purchase a car but his way of dealing with me, courtesy, non aggressive sales behavior and friendliness won me over and I decided to go ahead and buy the car, after several months of looking. The service department at VW is right on top of things. I received multiple phone calls and text messages to make sure I understood what was happening with my car. I loved getting the video from the tech showing the progress of the job. Plus, they gave me a timeline of when my care would need a particular service; ie replace tires; fix brakes etc.

I brought in my 2013 VW Touareg for the sunroof rubber frame to be replaced. NoHo VW supplied me with a loaner car for the 3 days it was going to take to complete the job. When I returned to pick up my car not only did they do a fantastic job on the replacement, sunroof works perfectly with no noise but they also went the extra mile to have the inside of my car professionally cleaned and shampooed. They take complete care of their customers for sales and ESPECIALLY for service which in my opinion is more important and is how dealerships get and keep customers!!!

I just bought the car 7 weeks ago and got a service message. I have put less than 1000 miles on it! When I called service department to find out what was the deal they said it was because the oil change was over a year old. Seriously? Why would you sell me a car that would need to be serviced right away? There was also 2 recalls that needed to be done. The gentleman I spoke with said to bring it in and they would take care of the oil change & the recalls, no charge. That info was not put in the computer and when my husband brought the car in he was told that we had to pay for the oil change, which he did. Ridiculous! I had to fight with them about it.In the end I was promised that we would get refunded. Fingers crossed they take care of it. That is the only reason I am giving a "good" mark.I hate feeling that I am being taken advantage of.

My Sales Person, Jillian Robinson, was AMAZING!!! She listened to me and was as patient as could be during the entire process. I felt at ease with her while on the test drive and discussing the deal. She was honest and admitted when she did not know the answer but did get the answers to my questions, which is very refreshing. The dealership was a very comfortable environment, wide open and very clean! No one interrupted my sales person during the entire process and never once did I feel any pressure. The entie staff were super polite and professional. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND putting Northampton Volkswagen on your list of dealerships to visit when looking for a new car. Cars I requested to test drive were ready and waiting my arrival. I did experience some miscommunication during the buying process, but it mainly serves as good reminder for all car buyers anywhere to be very clear on each line item of the sales agreement. Because I couldn't take delivery that day, the salesman, Aaron, offered and arranged for the car, later in the week, to be delivered to me quite some distance away. And after driving it 100 miles to me, the delivery guy even filled it up with gas...a bonus I didn't expect.

I had test driven an Audi Q3 the day before and was really impressed with the car, even though it was really out of my price range. Upon doing research later that evening, I discovered the connection between Volkswagon and Audi and decided to stop by Northampton Volkswagon the next day. I was warmly greeted by a young woman at the desk, and told her that I wanted to test drive a few cars. I was introduced to Jason LeClair, a friendly young man who was eager to help me out. After asking me some questions as to what I was looking for, Jason introduced me to 3) VW cars. The Golf, Golf GTI and the Tiguan. Honestly, I loved driving them all and because they were so much fun to drive, especially the GTI. That car is crazy fun to drive. They were more similar to each other than for instance, the Subaru line up. In any event, after test driving multiple cars from different dealerships, such as Lexus, Subaru and Toyota, the car closest to the Audi was the Volkswagon in terms of how it responded to the road and it's overall driving experience for the driver which I guess makes sense. I found Jason to be very helpful in terms of advocating for his client when communicating to the manager Chris Proctor. Chris was friendly and approachable. He allowed me to take a 2015 Tiguan Sport edition for a couple of hours on my own to show family and friends which I thought was really cool.When I brought the car back, Marcus came out to explain how a few things on the car worked, such as it's awesome moonroof. Very nice gentleman, courteous, and professional. I was so very close to purchasing the Tiguan because I think they have a high quality product and would have , if I didn't have an older Lexus with low miles that I have great faith in.These folks want to sell cars and they are assertive when it comes to extending warranties, etc., so if you really want to buy a car, check out the VW. I think you will be as pleasantly surprised as I was with their product and their willingness to make deal with you.

Omar has an easy way about him, and is both fun and confident - confident in the excellence of the cars he sells. He was very low pressure - not once did he try to get me to move faster than I was ready to in terms of buying the car. He showed me different models, and in the end he helped me get the model that I wanted within my price range. I would recommend Omar and Northampton VW to anyone who is looking to purchase a car. On my way to work a huge metal object was on the highway and I accidently struck the object. I made a claim through my insurance and come to find out it's consider a Collision Accident. So I chose to go to Northampton Volkswagen, being that I bought my brand new car here 2 years ago. At first, they were quick and thorough inspecting my car and coming up with an estimate ($4,700). But after work was to begin thats when the miscommunication began. I was told first that the parts were ordered and will take a few days, then I didn't get a call back. I constantly kept calling but my service advisor was out and the receptionist didn't know what was going on. Called again and was told the parts aren't in, then recieved a phone call by Ryan and was told actually the parts are in but just waiting on one piece. Then another day passed and the wrong part was ordered. Eventually, the car was finished 10 days later. Overall, Ryan was very heplful and courteous, even offered a rental, made the experience better. The overall experience was stressful and time consuming. I didn't feel like a priority at first and don't know if I would get major repairs fixed here. Small jobs are a better experience here.

I was driving a '09 Benz C300 beautiful car, but out of warranty, only issues with it being its a Benz and everything is crazy $, oil change $175! The closest dealership is about 3 hours since we moved. It just got to be a hassle. On a freezing cold Saturday evening my family & I took a drive thru the lot, and a used Tiguan caught my eye. The dealer had just closed for the night, but a sales guy Bill came out, talked to us, and piqued our interest so that we actually did come back in! Unfortunately, the Tiguan wasn't the ride for us with 2 small kids, we require ample trunk space! Bill bounced back immediately with the 2014 VW Passat! I hadn't considered this option, but once looking into it, the space was huge, plenty of room for our family! This is my first brand new car ever!! I've bought several cars before, and dealt with all kinds of dealerships, men/women, small/large dealerships, but this was very smooth, I didn't feel pressured at any time. My husband & I told Bill right away it wasn't necessary to buy a car, and we won't if we are not comfortable with the #'s. Everyone got that, no pressure, thanks Northampton VW!!

Same great experience with the service department every time I bring my 2014 Golf in for service. Thought there was a leak in my back hatch because water seemed to be coming in when loading the car in a heavy rain with back hatch open. Turned out that there was no leak, just a minor design flaw. Eventhough it was a minor problem that did not require any correction, the service department treated me with respect and decency. They took the time to explain the problem, showed me why it was occurring and then gave my car a complimentary car wash. There was no charge for all of this! In the past at other dealerships, I was chargedvfor the time that it took to find a problem whether or not it was something that needed to be fixed. I was never offered a complimentary car wash and I was made to feel stupid for not having figured out what was wrong since that other dealership made me feel that I wasted their time even though they had charged me for it. This the second car that I have bought from Northampton VW and I highly recommend this dealership and the great people who work there.

We found the car my son wanted. It wears a good deal and the salesperson was ok. Problem was the service was sooo bad. First the sale took hours and the were so confused about the paperwork. We had to do forms over again and the kept forgetting things. Then the dY my son went to get the car it took 6 hours for them to finish the process. Again the messes up on the paperwork so badly that even after everything was done they were hounding me for a required form. To top of the really unprofessional experience they did't put my son's license plates in the car, didn't do the body work the promised and also didn't put the cars rugs back in the. Ad after cleaning it. My husband and I are looking to replace both our cars next year and will Not be going there.

I was in the market for a economy sedan, but with Clean-Diesel Technology, and I FOUND exactly what I was looking for at a very decent price. I bought a 2014 VW Jetta 2.0 Liter Clean-Diesel Engine-block with Turbo, and it's like owning and driving an Army-Tank that can go 90 mph on the highway and it's extremely quiet and smooth. We were shopping for a used VW Jetta for our daughter....the experience began on-line, and honestly, if it had not been for Cole Lovely's expertise and accomodating manner, we probably never would have considered this dealership! With very hectic schedules, we decided on a date and time to test drive 2 cars meeting our specifications....were a tad disappointed to discover that the one we thought we would LOVE had been sold that same day, but did LOVE the other one! It ended up being a better buy with much less mileage and more "bells and whistles." We purchased the car that evening, and took possession of it just a couple of days later. On our test drive, I noted some vibration in the brakes, so turns out we got a "brake job" for free!! I did not give 5 stars to customer service because there was not someone always available to speak to when calling and with limited time, I didn't want to talk to voice mail! Molly met us on the day we picked up the car and she was charming!

Ultimately the buying experience at Northampton Volkswagen was positive, although a few confusions & missteps along the way to the final sale created speed bumps in the process. Like any car purchase, it helped us enormously knowing exactly what car, with what features, at what price range we were buying. Also, the fact that this was not our first stop (3rd dealership) & we'd narrowed down the diesel Jetta we were aiming to buy, based on research & reliable recommendations from friends. Since September's the tail end of the 2014 selling season & newer models were arriving (in a month or 2), the dealer & its staff appeared motivated to make a sale--something we did not sense at the previous dealerships we'd visited. The sales group did a respectable job once correct numbers for models & equipment packages had been established. For instance, we negotiated price, at length, for a Sport wagon, when we, the customers thought the negotiation was over an acceptably discounted Jetta Sedan with premium package + nav. Once the staff acknowledged the glitch, the process had to start over. This required a second day of work for all, however, it allowed us to confirm selling numbers & feature sets for the car in question (via research). To his credit Ron, the salesman, was excellent at explaining mechanical details of the diesel engine, & it helped enormously that he owned & drove one. We feel the sale hinged more on the substance of this exchange than the ambiance or pleasantries of the newly built facilities.

From the moment my husband and I walked in the door we were greated by very friendly staff. But once we sat down to talk about what car we were looking at we were immediately asked to fill out paperwork to check our credit and pretty much to purchase the car. After stating we haven't even looked at the car or taken it for a test drive the salesman still asked for us to fill it out. even though we said we just wanted to talk numbers because we had been to numerous other dealerships and had a lot to take in. finally we were able to take a test drive in the car. and when we got back i still felt very pushed into making a deal. when numbers were talked and my husband and i felt we would be getting a better deal at another dealership we had told them and the insisted it was the best deal we could get no matter where we go. We found with as good credit as we had and having recently dealt with buy and given back a used car due to the lemon law that the APR they were trying to give was just outrageous again compared to another dealership we had spoke to. Once the salesman felt we werent going to budge and buy the car he had the saleswoman who dealt with the finance, i feel attack us. when we stated everything that we had going on she still insisted that we could do it and if we put money down (even though we had stated numerous times we didn't have the money) they could definately get the payment down and so many other things. i felt as though i was being pushed into something i knew my husband and i couldn't do. even though we had told everyone we spoke to that we needed time and we don't think its a good fit for us but we appreciated talking with us. we went on to get a phone call from the salesman almost every other day and this was after we told them if they didn't hear back from us to go with someone else. but the phone calls lasted two weeks. i mainly felt with how pushy the salesman were, was a major decision on not to go with this dealership. although they were nice, they were just too pushy. i may be young but i've dealt with a handful of car salesman, and i've never been treated like this.

I just went for my 10,000 mile oil change and they checked EVERYTHING on my car as well as the changing the oil. Not only that, they washed it for me too. Ryan Nelson was so very pleasant as soon as I walked in the door. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything that was going to happen while I was there. There was this other woman working next to Ryan, Connie Brassard, was so kind to me also. She helped me shop for a gift for my daughter in the Volkswagen show case. Then there was Tatiana, the shuttle driver. So careful and considerate of her passenger's. Very prompt. So then I had to call to find everyone's last name and I spoke to Gail. NORTHAMPTON VW CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!Took our car in for a full service. We did an oil change the week before, and asked not to do an oil change. Left the receipt for the oil change on the dash with explicit instructions not to change the oil. Northampton VW changed the oil and charged $70. Spoke to a manager the next day and he offered a refund. A month later, after leaving two messages, I finally reached a manager who said that they would get back to me. Of course not. Awful customer service. Never again!!

The Service Rep was able to provide some good technical advice. He was able to explain why such expensive synthetic oil had to be utilized. Good and friendly service. Nice waiting area with wifi. They do need however to fix the bugs in this Questionaire/Review. If you make one mistake it wipes out several other fields and you end up correcting many different fields.

I have purchased five cars previously and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. I've had experiences where things went faster, but what impressed me even more in this case was that there were unforeseen problems (due to problems with State Farm Insurance's call system), but we were made to feel comfortable and welcome to the point that we didn't really mind. Omar and Carolyn made it a pleasure to wait at the dealership when circumstances were beyond our control. Also, each and every person from Service came over and congratulated us on the new car; that was a nice touch. Just bought my brand new VW Tiguan from Mark at Northampton Volkswagen and I could not have wished for more exceptional service from the entire staff all the way from sales to financing. Oftentimes, car buying can be a cumbersome experience but they made the process so effortless that I cannot say enough amazing things about them. Unfortunately, my prior VW CC was totaled in an accident. Knowing this, both Mark and Chris worked incredibly hard to get me back on the road as soon as possible by expediting the entire process and were able to have me in my new VW the very next day even considering I had purchased it over a holiday weekend! Mark even went the extra mile to drive all the way to my work the next day to pick up my finalized paperwork to get my registration and insurance coverage taken care of so the car was ready to go right after I got off work. On the final day of my warranty timewise, and out of warranty mileswise, I took my 2011 Golf TDI in because of leaking driver's side window gasket. After review of the problem, service staff at Northampton VW recommended I contact VW of America and request assistance with repair. VW of A in the end agreed to pay for the entire repair. He spent an hour and a half/two hours with us after already having a busy day and was very informed. The finance department worked with me to get where I was comfortable. Never again will I purchase a vehicle from any dealership owned by Ms. Cosenzi. First, I was told on the phone that they were still having their "cash for clunkers" promotion. Yet, when I was finalizing the sale that SAME DAY, I was told that was no longer a promotion. I was then made to feel very worried that I was not buying the extended warranty (I got an actual, "you are going to regret not getting it."). Then the financing manager messed up our financing (to the dealership's advantage). After having to have many phone conversations with him, I was told me it would be fixed (yet 4 months later it still hasn't been fixed). On top of that, when I dropped my car off for service, it came back with someone else's trash in it!

I checked NA for quality of repairs because that always remains to be seen...in my opinion.This was my first experience with Northampton Volksvagen.

This is my third interaction in buying/leasing a vehicle. I also have spent time at Northampton VW for service. People there are friendly and courteous. I expect them to be knowledgeable. I have had success with other vehicle makes but the people at Noho VW will bring me back again and again. If the service people tell me that it will take an hour, it takes 45 minutes. If sales people tell me they can not make a deal, they work hard to find away to make me happy. There is always a plan B and it always takes the customer in to account. Not every visit runs as smoothly as most of us would like. That experience is always followed up with apologies and explanations. Northampton VW is a good place, good people, good service, and a very good customer experience. SW

I originally went to Volkswagen to find out where the previous dealership had moved to. I was going to their new location to look at purchasing a vehicle. I was working on pulling into the dealership when my car decided it wasn't going to work any longer. Now I know that the weather was bad therefore the staff were busy addressing the needs of their employer during the course of daily business, but of the twenty or so men and women working only Jason had stopped to initiate any help at all not even concerned with making a sale at that point, he was more towards working on getting the car functional. When we determined that the car was not going to work further Jason's focus was not on "oh I have to move these cars too bad deal with it. It was on what can I do to help this individual get into a vehicle that A) runs and B) will be dependable. We worked diligently together to make it happen. I am holding the keys to a 2014 Jetta currently. As far as the description of the vehicle I am driving a Jetta S and Falon who works in partnership with the rest of the sales staff, sat with me to discuss the features of my car, helped me create a user account so I can see all of the information they have available for servicing, the next appointment planned. The staff have called to make sure that I am still happy with the car, I couldn't be happier and handled all of the communication needed to assess my trade in's, pay off a previous loan etc.

On Black Friday, I had been to 4 dealerships. When I walked into Northampton Volkswagen I wasn't sure I was going to buy a Volkswagen. Dan Guarnieri was the first person to greet my partner and I. He wasn't overly aggressive in his approach to buying a car. I was under the impression he was very enthusiastic about the product he was selling. He talked in detail about the Volkswagen SEL. I thought the car sounded great but wouldn't be in my budget. He had this playful look in his eye and asked us if we wanted to try it out and go for a ride. Well, that was it. What a ride! The car handled well. All the extras were exquisite and I felt like I could just drive away with it right then and there. We went back to the showroom. He spent a few hours with us, going back and forth trying to work out the best deal for us. The Sel was not in my budget. Dan presented the Volkswagen SE with Connectivity. I couldn't begin to think I could afford this car either. He kept trying to work with me to make me feel I was in a comfortable position to enjoy a car that would really suit my needs and my dreams.Dan made the deal happen. I never felt compromised financially. When I picked my car up, I couldn't believe it was mine. Falon Dellario also gave me a warm welcome as she showed me how to use all the features in my car. Everyone in the dealership left me with a positive buying experience. I am looking forward to referring new customers to Dan. Already, I have had a few co-workers inquire as to where I bought my car. I have a few of Dan's business cards and will gladly hand them out to potentially new customers for him.

I had my 2010 TDI Sportwagon in for an oil change and to have my brakes and light checked. I have 80K miles in this vehicle and have never had any brake work. According to this staff I still do not need brakes ! Woo Hoo ! This car is a great car and the service staff is great. Initially we were going to check out other brands before we made a decision,but we really liked the way we were treated as well as liking the car -- professional, friendly but not pushy -- so we decided to go with VW. The whole process was well organized and very clear. All the paperwork reflected the deal we had made. Quick and easy. I had the most comfortable experience in a lease/ purchasing of a new J e t t a S. Mark Flynn was my salesman and he was exceptionally the most pleasant salesman I have had. I was only stopping in to do a test drive to get a $25 gift card and walked out with my new 2014 J e t t a S. I have always loved Volkswagen, since I have had 3 bugs before. So it was easy to fall in love with the car, then Mark made it easy to leave with it. I will return when my lease is up to either purchase it or trade it for a newer one, we will see. I am DISGUSTED by this dealership. I received that bogus summer sale event flyer and of course "won" so I came to your dealership to claim the prize. I was then talked into test driving a car the following day since the estimate for my trade was an outrageous $12,900. Overjoyed, I show up at 9am ecstatic by the thought of buying a new car. Well, after I test drive your Ford Esacpe and fall in love with it I'm told my trade in is worth a mere $6,500. Seriously? I put in the make, model, year, and mileage of my car and was quoted nearly twice as much the previous day. "Well that's only based on if you drive 10,000 miles a year" I was then told. So I entered my mileage why then? Then a salesman keeps trying to talk me into a car I now can't afford. I mention I do not want more than a 60 month loan. First offer came to be around $390 a month. I said, "cut that in half and I'll consider it". The second offer was for $280 a month. I still refused. Third was for $260 not including financing. So I agree to let them find me a loan. They do, and it ends up being $267 for a 72 month loan, which they did not tell me! The entire time I thought the $260 offer was a 60 month loan. That was the last straw. I walked away, feeling taken advantage of. I have no intentions of returning in the future. If I could give this dealership -5 stars I would. This was over a month ago and they still continue to call and email me even though I have made it very clear I will never consider giving them business. If you ever feel like being taken advantage of be sure to visit this dealership, they'll be happy to screw you over.

Another VW dealership was unable to find an answer to my minor, but annoying problem in four visits spaced over the past year. Rich found it in less than five minutes. A replacement part was ordered. We returned, had it repaired and the problem is gone. We dealt with Connie, Kim and Rich. They were all very helpful, friendly and considerate. From now on, we will deal with Northampton Volkswagen.

I adore this dealership compared to the other ones I've death with over the years. The customer service is spectacular, especially in the service/parts department. They are currently waiting for their new facilities to be built and are in an older, outdated building. It took about 4 hours to service my vehicle but that's only because their temporary building cannot accommodate all of the happy customers at once! Might not always own a VW but I will always give Northampton VW my business when I can.

I was very excited to purchase a car. Things were going well. The price was great and then it went up. Because there were repairs that needed to be taken care of. There was a nearly $4,000 jump in the price. There seemed to be a lot of issues, I kept being handed off from one person to another. It was just overall a disappointing experience.

I had been driving an awful car for WAY too long and I knew I wanted a Jetta. I had gone to Fathers & Sons VW in West Springfield prior to Northampton VW, and knew when I left F&S that I did not want to do business with them. I walked into their showroom, and waited a good 5 minutes for someone to finally come & help me. Although the salesman I was working with seemed to be fairly knowledgable, I couldn't help but feel like he was blowing smoke. He had his "numbers man" quote me on a lease on a 2013 Jetta SE and he threw so many figures at me, my head was still spinning the next day. A friend of mine recommended Jason LeClair at Northampton VW, as she had purchased a VW from him recently. I called him to make an appointment, and I am so happy that I did. Jason's knowledge of the VW line of vehicles was great. He was able to answer all of my questions and he worked with me to get the best price. The staff at Northampton VW was fantastic - upon pulling in, someone was there to open the door for and greet me and from that moment I knew I was in the right place. After a couple of hours I had signed the lease paperwork for a brand new Jetta SE. They had the vehicle ready for me the next day. When I came to pick up my car, Ariel walked me through everything and even scrubbed a scuff off of my front seat herself. The sales staff there definitely went above and beyond to get me the car I wanted at the right price. I look forward to continuing to do business with these guys and have already recommended them to friends!!

I was set to purchase the vehicle. Re-iterated several times to the internet sales rep that I had bank financing. Got to the point of sale and they said it would be another $1000 to NOT use their finance company. Buried in the fine print of the quote I got said that. No where on the posting does it say it and at no time during the process did it come up until I agreed to buy the vehicle. Complete horse manure. May be a perfectly good dealership but I was treated very poorly.

After my windshield wiper stopped working during a major downpour, I took my car to Northampton Volkswagen for emegency service. Explaining the problem to Carlos, the car was examined, while I waited in the waiting room. When called down to discuss the problem, I was informed the wiper motor needed replaceed and before I could ask, I was also informed that a loaner car would be provided, because, the part needed to be ordered. This was a relief and turned a stressful moment into a great day. I was able to keep maintain my schedule for the next two days. By Friday afternoon, I had my car back. Not only did Northampton Volkswagen find the problem (burned wiper motor) but they relieved any additional stress by providing the loaner car. They anticpated my need without my asking. I had been wanting to get rid of my Nissan Altima, but I owed far more than it was worth. My last experience with car dealers just left sort of a bad taste in my mouth--the vague feeling of having been taken advantage of. I explained all this in an email to Dorian Spence at Northampton Volkswagen. He assured me it was worth my time to come in. Yeah, all you car dealers say that. I was also emailing another dealership about a possible used Volkswagen Golf, which I've always wanted. Anyway, I came in to Northampton Volkswagen, and Jason (my salesman--I think his last name is LeClerc) was very nice. They gave me more than the Nissan was worth and a great deal on a used Golf TDI(which I LOVE!). The other dealer had been saying, "Be sure to tell me what kind of deal they put together--I can probably do better." So, right before I went in to tell Northampton Volkswagen I wanted the car, I emailed the other dealer and told him what I was paying and what they were giving me for the Nissan. He asked, "Is it a Golf TDI?" Yes. I was at NHV when the other dealer emailed me back, "In all honesty, that's a great deal and if I were you I would take advantage of it." Wow! I will never go anywhere else to buy a car!

I had a very good sales experience with Northampton Volkswagen in general and specifically with my salesperson Mark Flynn, who made the process very comfortable and easy. He was very knowledgable regarding the Volkswagen line and took his time to explain the features of the Toureg I was interested in and ultimately purchased. Excellent service was continued following the sale with a thorough introduction of the details of the car and on a return vist for installation of a roof rack and inspection sticker which were done on time as promised with courtesy shuttle. Mark worked well past closing when I stopped in late to look for used VWs, never pushing me to make a hurried decision. I loved the GTI, but could not make a decision that night. I came back the next day and "Gloria" was still there! Mark helped with the insurance and registration. Before I drove Gloria out the door, he went over everything head to foot and even had the service manager in to make sure that something that looked out of order and was very minor was not a problem. After about a week of driving, the engine check light came on and I called service. I needed to drive back to Michigan on Monday, but the first service appointment was not until Tuesday. I called Mark and he said to come in right now! As a special note to swordfish lovers, he knows just where to look for fresh swordfish in Noho at five o'clock on Christmas eve. Thank you Mark.

The short version: I had the opportunity to get the car for a little less at another dealership but bought it here because the service and experience was great.When your car comes with three years of service included, how you are treated when you buy the car is hugely important. Think about it this way, when a dealership is trying to make a sale, that is the nicest they will ever be to you. Now imagine the aggressive, snarky, pushy salesman at some other dealership is the nicest treatment you will likely ever receive there. That's why I stayed at Northampton VW.I should begin by saying that we had more or less settled on the car we wanted before arriving at the dealership. A few days ago we bought a 2013 VW Golf TDI from Rob Doyle at Northampton VW. After the test drive, we took nearly a week to come back to the dealership. Rob and others (Andy, Sue) were patient with us while we debated color and sorted out a couple insurance snafus. The sales process was smooth with price negotiations on the new car and the trade in taking about 15 minutes total. F&I was fine and devoid of unnecessary pressure and pushiness. Sue in F&I even got me better financing from my own bank than I got.Rob drove back and forth from the dealership to my office to drop off papers and my car. When I dropped it off for its initial state inspection and detailing, Rob brought to the office for me when it was done. Other than the detailing, I haven't had any service done there yet so I can't speak to quality of the shop and its repairs.Overall, I have no regrets or second guesses about buying my new car from Rob and Northampton VW. Remember you are buying a car not being sold a car. My advice to you is be an informed shopper and do your homework regarding the car, price, financing, and insurance and you will find people who will work with you to get a fair deal done at Northampton VW.

We were most pleased when they offered to come pick up our new car during the week for the inspection sticker so that we wouldn't have to come back in on the following weekend. They honestly try to give you the best deal and they make sure you get the car you want for a great price. I had negative equity on both trade-ins and both times they gave me a few extra thousand on my trade while taking a few thousand off the sticker price. Country has an amazing overall team working for them. My sales consultant, Jason LeClair, was extemely helpful. Shane Riddles was able to get me into better interest rate that I did not originally qualify for.They both did all that they could to get me a great deal. I was able to get into a brand new CC at a very low price. If you are looking to buy a car, I would highly recommend any of the country dealers. You will not be disappointed!

Whelp, I went in looking to by a car a rarin' for a fight to get my money's worth. I went in with a scowl, but dag burn it, I ran right into Rob and the first thing he did was give me a towel to wipe the scowl offen my face. The son-of-a-gun was so friendly, I couldn't help but to smile. After that he was a straight shooter about all the cars. He showed me whatever I asked about, told me which cars I could squeeze a saddle in the back of, even let me know, straight from the hip, what I should be concerned about for each of the used cars I looked at, mechanically speaking. I'ma gonna go back there as soon as I get the scratch together, and you can bet who I'm gonna ask to see.Also, get him to tell you a joke. I ain't cried so hard since Ole Bessie stepped on all five fingers of my left hand. Sheesh!

Recently I visited a Volkswagen dealership in Northampton MA and was very dissatisfied with the level of customer service that I received from both the sales associate but more importantly the very young and very immature owner of the dealership, Carla Cosenzi. When I showed up to the dealership I was very upfront and honest about the fact that I was not looking to purchase a car that day. I was shopping around and had let them know that I had already test drove a Passat TDI and was interested in running through some numbers in order to get an idea of what I could get for my trade-in, financing, etc. So I sat down with the salesman and he collected my information about the trade. We talked about what he had on the lot and then said he would talk to the owner to see what they could do. When he was talking to her, I could hear the conversation across the showroom, she was telling him (with quite the little princess attitude) that the price was only going to be good right now, not later that day, not tomorrow but right now. Now being the somewhat intelligent person that I am I was giving the salesman an opportunity to present that information to me in the best way he could. The first things out of his mouth were she is not happy that you are not going to be buying something today. I am in sales; there were only about a thousand different ways that he could have given me that information that would have kept me in that chair. I immediately gathered my childs things, my wife and I left the dealer. I did tell him that she could take her cars and shove them up her you know what. The salesman followed me out of the showroom and while we were packing up informed me that he didnt mean to upset me. I informed him that it wasnt what he did more than the conversation she had with him. I told him to have a good day and that I would deal with another dealership. I dont know if you train your dealers on how to treat customers but if not I suggest that this may be something you want to look into. I really am to the point that I may not purchase a Volkswagen at all. I hope someone from your customer service dept. contacts me and can find a way to win me back to purchase the car that I initially was very impressed with. I am not sure about you but when I am looking at buying a thirty thousand dollar car I am not looking to be pressured into making a decision that minute. This dealer didnt spend any time with me; I did go on a test drive, I did monopolize his time. I wanted to be in and out with their best price. Its called car shopping, this what people do to get the best price possible and if they dont understand that this is the way things work and that is the business that they are in then there is something wrong with them. They need to understand you have to develop a relationship and that this is not the way to do it. I am planning on copying this email to the dealership, Volkswagen corporate, and I am going to post it as a review online in as many places as I can.

We were actually preliminary shopping for a few months down the road, and we liked the Jetta SE, the price, the financing, and while not pressured, we were asked if we wanted to sign a purchase agreement. If I feel too much pressure, I run. Jerzy was so friendly and sincere, when he asked, we figured : "Why not?", and moved our purchase date up a few months. We now have a beautiful new car that should last us a while. The extended warrantee is something I NEVER buy, yet for $50 we got 6 years instead of the 3 that comes with the car. The .9 percent financing is perfect. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and when I found a screw in my front tire (thanks to the tire pressure monitoring device) at 2 days old and 76 miles on the car, they promptly replaced it with a new one. The sales manager was informative, and Carla actually wished me 'Congratulations' on the day I picked up our car. (She was there 3 of the 4 days that we visited). I'll recommend this dealership highly, and think it'll be even better as they relocate around the corner to their bigger location.

I had a terrible experience with this dealership. When this dealership was newly opened and still had no 2012 Passats on the lot, I stopped by to potentially buy a Passat from them. They had me sign a P&S and give them a deposit to "lock in the price they were offering me", but they still had to locate the car (2012 Passat, black leather/silver exterior with sunroof and nav- pretty standard), because they had no 2012 stock yet. I was assured that my deposit was refundable and that I was not obligated to buy if I didn't like the test drive. When the car arrived, I test drove it and really didn't like it at all. It was nothing like the 2 other Passats I had owned. I declined the purchase, and was told that my money would be refunded in the form of a check. After about a week, I started calling the dealership to find out where my money was, but no one would take my call. This went on for about a month. I then contacted the Attorney General's office, who directed me to the Consumer Protection division of the local District Attorney's office. An advocat there worked on my case for about a month with no luck. I then tried communicaing with the dealership manager on my own again, and was strung along for about another month with him telling me he was trying to get the owner to refund my money. Fnally, after nearly three months of this all, the manager told me he was "sick of dealing with my refund issue", and for me to "do what I had to do. I certainly would not suggest this dealership to anyone based on my experience here. I have since bought a car elsewhere.
