vehicle brought in for service (check engine light is on). they were very nice and took us back to show us what needed fixed. then called to tell me there was another repair needed. fine. over $2500. later, picked up car and problem exists that was NOT there when I dropped it off. NOW they want close to another $3,000 to fix that! questioning now if one of the parts replaced was even necessary. they were willing to cut repair cost in 1/2 . I believe I'll just take it somewhere else

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING A CAR FROM THIS xxxxx CROOKED DEALERSHIP!!!I really wish I could give negative stars.....We purchased a 2004 vehicle (not a mini cooper) with 80+k miles on it.....During the buying process....our "sales" guy Travis had awful communication. He was given $500 to hold the vehicle for sale as we live out of town. a few days later, my boyfriend realized that the $500 had not come out of his account yet and had heard nothing from Travis. We weren't sure if would were going to pick up the vehicle Monday or if it was sold from under us. I called the online sales person who originally listed the car (the only person with some sense) He was very nice and was able to tell us that the car indeed was listed as sold under the computer system in our name. And that Travis does not answer customer calls on his day off.After the purchase was final, a few weeks later, our vehicle starter started acting funny (would click a few times, then finally start). The breaks began to lock up and were red hot. And then the vehicle over heated after idling for a short amount of time in the parking lot.After a few tries at calling the dealership to get it back in under warranty, he brought it into them. The shop has had the vehicle for a week now. My boyfriend has called them everyday....no answer back to what is going on with it or if they had even started working on it. Finally Thursday...the good for nothing receptionist told him "it should be done this afternoon for you to pick it up"....he went....not done. Travis tells him, it'll be done tomorrow (Friday). Boyfriend calls four times Friday. Receptionist dropped his call once. Transferred him to service department finally, service department tells him he needs to talk to the used car service department, transfers, call is dropped. Calls back, asks receptionist to speak to 'used car service department', she tries to transfer him 3 times....again, call is dropped. Travis texts him that afternoon (because apparently professionals text their customers now) finally and says your car should be ready later this afternoon. Boyfriend gets to the dealership, asks where the used car service department is....SAME receptionist on the phone earlier says "we don't have a used car department.... Finally he gets to where he is somewhat supposed to be and of course, Well it should be ready MondayHe gets there Monday.. Itll be ready tomorrow.He asks for a print out of the front to back top to bottom inspection the dealership did prior to selling him the vehicle on it was 4 things, one being that they topped off the anti-freeze, which brings me to the next problem we had a week later. He had to get the waterpump replaced. MINI wouldnt take responsibility for it and said the only reason why they spent $3000 on the rear end situation was because it was a safety issue. Now another week later, we are told that we need a whole new drive shaft. This is only 5 weeks into us having the jeep, and with it being in their shop for a week. So my boyfriend calls the dealership and of course, no one is available to talk to him. He left a message with the manager Friday morning (they are open on Saturdays as well) and it is now Monday and havent heard a word from ANYONE at the dealership.AGAINI WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING A CAR FROM THIS xxxxx CROOKED DEALERSHIP!!!If this problem does not get resolved, the next step will be going to the BBB as well as getting a lawyer and acting on Tennessees Lemon Law.

In the past, we have dealt with car salesmen who have been pushy, but Tim never made us feel pressured at all. This was, by far, the best experience we could have hoped for! Recently inquired about the countryman. Told the dealer what payments I could work with. He clearly did not understand because he exceeded my payments by almost $100. I feel like I was rushed into a contract. Once I got home I realized that I could not afford the car. I called the very same day they put me off til Monday. I called Monday they put me off til Tuesday. Then they told me there was nothing they could do. They gave me the runaround. The sales manager actually stated that he already got his commission of the car they sold me. Also stated that my credit wasn't good enough to trade it back. This is a brand new car. They still had my trade on their lot and refused to let me bring the countryman back. I've been shopping around for awhile and I know most dealerships give you 5-7 days in case you change your mind. I suggest if you want honest people who will do the right thing and who will work with you that you go elsewhere. Now I'm stuck in a car that I can't afford. For years to come.

Recently inquired online about a vehicle at this dealership and received terrible customer service. After the initial conversation I sent my trade info so the salesman Rick Culotta could work up a deal sheet. What a deal sheet it was; $795 for customer protection, $249 for theft deterrent. WHAT! When I addressed all the unusual charges and referred to his sales tactic as a "typical salesman," I got another email asking if I would purchase the vehicle if he took the charges off. I countered back with a low offer only to get a smart Alec email, I'll include below. I forwarded the email to dealers customer service dept. with no reply. I guess dealership is low quality when it comes to customers.Hello Mr. Fxxxxxxxxxxx,This typical salesman would like to offer our best price of $37,979.29 OTD. This price includes all taxes tag and dealer fees.P.S. if you find any like this for $28,500 OTD please let me know because we will buy it and any like it for that price. I have taken my '09 Clubman S to MINI of Knoxville for service since I bought the car. I recently had a battery die on my and, when I took it in for service, asked them to also check the engine as it hadn't been running quite right. The engine failed the test for carbon deposits. This car, with 45,000 miles on it, had already had to have the engine heads blasted to remove carbon deposits three times previously. I asked the service rep to speak to the service manager, David, about giving me some consideration on the blasting work, which costs about $1100, since it was obviously a recurring problem. My warranty had expired last year, although the car was still under an extended maintenance agreement. Amazingly, David agreed that he would pick up the carbon blasing work under warranty work, even though the warranty had expired. I've never had an experience at a car dealer where they did what was right, not what they were required to do. I can't say enough positive about MINI of Knoxville and their perspective on how to win and keep loyal customers. They have my lifelong appreciation.

We are from Nashville and drove all the way to Knoxville to look at a new mini. Dustin was our salesman and was super friendly/helpful. He stayed in contact with me through out the day assuring me that a later time would be fine, because I told him it would be late when we arrived. He already had the car pulled around that I wanted to look at and even suggested a few others. We ended up getting the car. He stayed well after closing hours to take care of us and even went to the station to fill it up with gas himself. I can't say enough kind things about him as he was very nice and went over everything in detail. Not once did we feel pressured and he even waited on us with another customer also. Kudos on such a great person working there. He really puts your mind at ease when lookiing at a new car, instead of stressing over it. Thanks Dustin!

So, on a whim, I went to Mini of Knoxville to look at a Mini Cooper they had for sale. Boy was I glad I did. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted warmly by our salesman Rick Culotta. He's this funny looking Italian guy with the most sincere smile. He reached out and shook my hand as he introduced himself. Nice firm handshake he has (that's a good sign!). I proceed to tell Rick what I'm looking for and what I won't put up with. He says "Wow! You're a pistol aren't ya?" I concur. I am a pistol! Anyway, Rick goes on his search to meet the criteria I had provided. Within moments, he has some vehicles to show me. After a brief walk around, we test drove this awesome Purple Mini Cooper Hardtop. I fell in love, (don't tell my partner that though). We drove home with a 2005 Mini Cooper and couldn't be happier with our purchase. We got the car and payment we were looking for. Rick and his team there at Mini Cooper Of Knoxville (Jeff Boak and Alex) were absolutely wonderful. I have purchased several cars in my lifetime so far and NEVER has a purchasing experience been so easy and best of all.... FUN!!!!

For some people buying a new car is like going to the dentist so it truly helps when you find a sales person like Andrea DeMarco. I live in Chattanooga and we don't have a MINI dealer here in town so i have the option of going to one of three dealers within two hours from me. I have had a total of five MINI,s and i have worked with the Nashville and Atlanta dealers in the past and the MINI of Knoxville team is a lot better to work with, they are prompt with their callbacks and you just realize what its like to own a higher end car. I have had cancer for the past three years and came close to death about a year and a half ago so when i found out that i was cancer free we decided to trade my 06 Cooper S for a 2012 Cooper S six speed manual. I called Andrea who i had met while i was having my 06 serviced and told her what I was going thru and that i was ready for a new Cooper. I told her what i wanted, how much I could spend and the color. They were out of the color i wanted and she suggested a different color and made me a deal i couldn't resist and the next morning i drove to Knoxville and picked up my new MINI and at that time it was my favorite. Flash forward a year my cancer is back and I'm having trouble driving the manual shift so i call Andrea and explain my situation. Again they put together a deal that worked for me and I was able to trade for a new MINI with a automatic and today i am loving my MINI and my MINI sales person. Andrea keeps up with me and my cancer,checking on me ever few months. I have never had this kind of service before. So if your looking for a MINI give Andrea DeMarco and MINI OF KNOX. a call.

We just purchased our second MINI from MINI OF KNOXVILLE! Our contact with both deals was with Andrea DeMarco. We found her to be very approachable and friendly and incredibly knowledgeable! The atmosphere at this dealership is very electric! The people are very friendly and very kind. There was no pressure regarding sales at all. Not even at the end part of the sale where all the warranty options are explained. The service people are very helpful! When our last MINI was rear ended and necessitated us purchasing a new one we still found the staff to be fun, professional and very kind. We ended up dealing with the same people. In a market where turnover is very high, MINI OF KNOXVILLE must be doing something right for it's people to stay. We have had an excellent experience on all levels... from the sale to service we have found the staff fantastic. Andrea, Martin, Kevin and Travis are truly an asset to this company! Even though there are two local Mini dealerships near me, I decided to order my Mini from Mini of Knoxville (200 miles away) because of their high level of customer service, no pressure approach, and, of course, the right price. Everything was completed virtually so all I had to do was show up, give them the keys to my trade-in and drive away in my new Countryman. Had the price agreed to, deal in the works, final paperwork in front of us. THEN found the "extra" items they added and we were told we had agreed to, we had not. Even the salesman admitted that the "extra" was not in the quote we agreed to. They would not budge, neither would we. So, we walked away without a new vehicle, which according to the salesman was better than the one we found at our hometown dealer and that the color at our hometown dealer would never sell and be extremely hard to resell. Funny...I like the color at our hometown dealer.

Andrea got my business right off the bat by being very quick to respond (over a week quicker than other area MINI dealers) to my internet inquiry -- we immediately set up a meeting and a test drive. Andrea was the sales representative I worked with. She was personable, professional, and worked with me to get me into the vehicle I wanted. I also worked with Patrick in finance who patiently worked with me and went over everything in detail. Another young woman, Andrea's assistant, helped me with learning the features on my Mini and fully answered all my questions. Inquired about a 2011 Touareg and was told I would be receiving a call back by the salesperson (who barely sounded like she wanted to answer the phone to begin with). Never heard from again-- very upsetting when willing to fly down to pick it up cash in hand if I just had a couple questions answered. With a limited selection of color options, I preferred this particular combination the most. Unfortunately this poor customer service from the sales person, Andrea Demarco, has made me reconsider purchasing from this dealership. If you're not willing to sell to someone that is not local, say so in the ad or simply don't use the internet for advertising.

I have never been a fan of the car buying process. I just don't have the time for all of the hoops car salesman tend to put a person through -- trying to sell me what they have on their lot instead of what I'm specifically looking for -- stalling negotiations --- etc, etc. However, Andrea DeMarco made the whole process simple. Though a series of emails, she guided me though the build, negotiated the price quickly and fairly and made the entire purchase simple and painless. This is my second automotive purchase from Andrea. And for this purchase, I actually attempted to work with a couple of other internet sellers just to see if there were any benefit to working with a closer market. I quickly found that not only was there no price benefit, the other online sellers I contacted would not even begin the process without me actually having me on the lot. Which sort of negates the whole internet purchase aspect. It is my experience that the best way to buy a new car is to conduct the entire thing online and work through Andrea DeMarco.

I have always wanted a Mini Cooper, it was time for another car (due to gas prices).My husband found a Mini on the internet with Grayson, set up an appointment with Andrea, when we arrived she had the car pulled up front, everyone at the dealership was wonderful. So nice, helpful, explained what they were doing, not just leaving us to sit and wonder. I would definately recommend this dealership to everyone.

I had car trouble last Monday night in Tennessee while on road trip from New England to Louisiana (dash light indicating electronics malfunction came on at a rest stop-- manual advised me to "discontinue my journey") and had to have my Mini towed 100 miles to the nearest dealership, which was Mini of Knoxville. I was worried (to say the least), as the car is quite new (09), I was at least a thousand miles away from anyone I knew, and I had to be at work in New Orleans, where I am a teacher, on Wednesday morning. I called the dealership early Tuesday morning to explain my situation and why my car was in their lot, prepared to plead that they get me back on the road ASAP, and was met with some of the friendliest, most courteous and prompt service I have ever experienced. They took my car in right away and assured me that the service would be covered under the warranty and that they would call me if anything came up that I would need to pay for out of pocket. Kevin called me twice that morning with updates-- once to tell me what the problem had been and to tell me what they had fixed (in addition to fixing my electronics issue, they took care of the service that was due, including changing my oil and replacing front and rear wiper blades), and to ask if I wanted to have the tires rotated and some rust removed (not covered under the warranty and not critical, so I opted not to have this done). He called an hour later to say that it would be done within the hour (before noon!) and that I could come pick it up. When I picked up the car it was freshly washed and vacuumed, and serviced beyond what I had hoped or expected (I'd had no idea how much I needed new wiper blades until I used the new ones later that day). I made it back to New Orleans that night, and I received both a phone call and an email from Kevin the following day checking to make sure I'd made it home safely, thanking me for my patronage, and wishing me a good school year. In the past I have been wary about taking my cars to be serviced at a dealership, usually opting for independent repair shops, but this experience has changed my mind. I cannot recommend Mini of Knoxville enough-- they turned a tense and frustrating situation into an impressively positive experience. I only wish they were in New Orleans so I could use them regularly!

I saw a car on autotrader and contacted them. Bill Robbins contacted me back and through several emails and a phone call decided I wanted the car but needed to test drive it first. In order to speed the sale process I gave him my trade in info and told him I would be there in an hour because I live quite a ways away. He responded that he was looking forward to seeing me in an hour and would pull the car up front for me. When I got there an hour later he was test driving it with someone else. They obviously liked it because they went back to his desk and someone else said we should wait because a lot of times the sale falls through. After about an hour we left. Nothing like spending my birthday traveling over an hour each direction and waiting while someone else buys the car I went there for!!!

I live in S.Carolina, spoke with Stephen over the phone. He was fantastic, we had been working over the phone for a couple of weeks. It's a 6 hour drive to Knoxville from my home, when we arrived, Stephen had everything ready to go. The Sirius XM was programmed, the car was spotless and ready to go and the paperwork was waiting, we were there for about 30 minutes. The entire staff was awesome, it was the smoothest transaction I've ever had when purchasing a new car. I love my MINI and Stephen should be everyone's MINI guy..Thanks MINI of Knoxville

Overall, the experience was a good one. The process went as smoothly as possible. Everyone was educated about their product, helpful, and friendly. I would recommend Mini of Knoxville and if I were in the market for another Mimi, I would certainly do a return trip. My wife and I were looking for a MINI of specific color and features. Since we live in Nashville, we first went to the Nashville MINI dealership, where we found a haughty attitude and pitifully poor customer service.We called Knoxville and Andrea started looking for the car we wanted. She found one, but it was sold before we could secure it. Over a period of nearly two weeks, Andrea worked very hard to find our car. In the end she did not succeed, but it was not for lack of trying. She conducted herself as a consummate professional, making herself available for questions and sending progress reports on a regular basis.We are very sorry that Andrea's hard work didn't yield her a sale. We would uinhesitatingly recommend her to everyone as a friendly, responsible and highly capable salesperson.

I hate the entire car buying process. I hate it so much that it's been over 10 years since I even seriously considered buying a new car. I first dealt with Grant when I bought my Clubman. Very knowledgeable and personable. No pressure whatsoever, plus he gave us a great deal as it had been only a month since they had opened in Knoxville. The initial service guy (who is no longer there and shall remain nameless) was a little stressed out, and didn't seem to know what he was talking about. I bought some running lights in January, and he failed to tell us about the cost of labor. When I brought the car in to get the lights, he then told me about the ~$400 labor charge. Not good, and my husband was furious. Dave then tried to call my husband, reach out and try to understand our situation. Dave has always been very professional, level-headed, understanding, pleasant to work with. Then I met Scott. Extremely friendly. It seems like I have known him forever. Dave and Scott let me pick out a MINI Duffle Coat to make up for the gaff the other guy had made. The coat is beautiful. Dave didn't "throw it" in my face...like "look, we did this for you". All he and Scott wanted was to make things right, and keep a good customer. From the beginning, I have recommended MINI of Knoxville, and will continue to do so thanks to Dave, Scott, and Grant.

We have had a FANTASTIC experience working with BMW/Mini of Knoxville! The people were very knowledgeable, friendly and very personable! Considering Knoxville, TN had just endured the worst tornado outbreak in a long time the folks here were still very friendly and professional. While we were there, a fellow came who had just been on the Mini Dragon run and his Mini developed some issues. Mini of Knoxville was there to help him. We had not yet purchased our Mini Clubman and watched how the Service people dealt with this unexpected situation. They were fantastic. The Service fellow helped him out and said it was nothing serious. Just some kind of gate was stuck. He took care of it and they were off! Such an experience is what Grayson's has always been known for. In the past we have purchased many Jeeps from Grayson's and after a 6 year hiatus... we decided to check into their Minis. We were not disappointed! FANTASTIC people.... FANTASTIC service... Great service... sent my build from the mini website and had a response the next day. When we couldn't find an exact match, they worked very hard to find one even better than I had initially planned. Worked to find a price that made my drive to knoxville worth it rather than going to closer louisville. I contacted Andrea via the internet with an interest in purchasing a new MINI Cooper. She was extremely attentive and helpful. I travel a lot with my work schedule and she was more than understanding and stayed in constant contact with me regarding my needs. She new the product very well and via email and telephone calls was able to help me determine precisely the right vehicle for me and my family. She understood and assisted me with my odd schedule and found the precise vehicle I desired. She worked closely with other dealer personnel to assist me in ensuring the price was right as well. On the day I was to pick up the car and sign the paperwork, she was very friendly and put me at ease. She took extra time to make certain that I learned the car inside and out before I left. I worked with Darren concerning finances and the process was timely and handled extremely well. They both worked hard to ensure I was comfortable and at ease. Darren was thorough and effecient and made the paperwork painless. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and this was without a doubt the best experience yet. All in all I got an excellent deal, the exact car I was wanting and feel I walked away with two new friends. I will definitely be going back to MINI of Knoxville for my next vehicle thanks to Darren and Andrea.

I purchased my "Ms Piggy" from Herb in Dec. It was a pleasure to do business with such a well informed gentleman concerning Mini Coopers. He took the time to set all of my phone contacts, all the buttons on my radio, and showed me twice on "how to do things"...since I am a senior senior and asked him to do so the 2nd time. It was a please doing business with such a great company and excellent salesman. I would recommend Mini of Knoxville to all new buyers. I plan on purchasing a 2012 "if" Herb can special order a PINK one.

Admittedly, I've always been a car nut, but typically still hate the purchase process. I have a background in my career of Customer Service and for many years now Sales. I am very often dumbfounded by how unprofessional Salespeople can be. Poor presentation, poor or no followup, not knowing their product, all the reasons one looks for NOT to return to buy again or recommend a friend to buy. MINI of Knoxville gave me all the reasons to buy and to recommend them to a friend and it was all spearheaded by Andrea DeMarco. From our first contact to signing the papers, she was always there, always following up and assuring our interests and needs were met. She seems to have a great support group within the dealership, from the Business Manager to the Service Manager, who from now on I want as my best friend. Thanks to all for making our purchase fun again.

I brought my 2009 Mini in to Mini of Knoxville for an oil change and my 50,000 mile service on December 11 2010. I dropped the car off in the morning and had intended to pick the car up at lunch. After a few hours (longer than Eric had estimated the service would take) I called only to find out that "there is a little problem". Apparently as the technician was driving my car onto the lift to perform the service, he drove off of the side of the ramp damaging both the drivers side front wheel and tire. I went to the dealership to look at the damage and took Eric up on his offer for a loaner car while I waited for the dealership to find a tire. I was told that a tire was ordered that day and that it would arrive at the dealership on Monday.Monday came and went and I never heard from the dealership. On Wednesday (after I called Eric) I was told that the tire would get to the dealership on Friday. I understand that things can happen, but I can't understand a complete lack of communication from a dealership that was responsible for the problems to begin with. The tire arrived on Thursday and I dropped my car off to have it mounted on Friday (at this point, the wheel had still not been repaired). When I went back to the dealership to pick up my car, I was greeted by Dave who had not put eyes on the work that their "wheel guy" (that is what Dave referred to him as) had performed. The wheel had been repaired, but I could still the the evidence from their screw up. I informed Dave that I wanted a new wheels. I showed Dave the exact web site that I ordered the wheel from and it cost a whopping $125. Dave informed me that he would call me when the wheel arrived. At this point, I did take my car home.A few weeks later (January 7th), Dave called me to let me know that the wheel had arrived and that I could come by the dealership to have it mounted that afternoon. When I got to the dealership, Dave and I inspected the wheel (it was apparent that he had not yet looked at it) and immediately I saw that the box the wheel came in had a big slash in it. As expected, the wheel was damaged and Dave told me that he would order another and call me when it arrived.2 weeks later (January 21), Eric called me to remind me that my wheel had come in and that I could have my car fixed whenever I could get to the dealership. I called Eric back to find out if it was the wheel that had been ordered after Dave and I noticed that the first wheel had been damaged. He told me that he had to check and would call back. Several hours later, Eric called me and told me that it was the same damaged wheel but that a new one was on order (all the while saying things like "don't worry, we are going to take care of you") I continued to wait.2 weeks later (February 2), I called Eric to find out if the wheel had arrived. He told me that he had to check and would call me back. Due to the fact that calling me back was not one of Eric's stronger points, I specifically asked for him to call me back EVEN if he did not find any news out. At this point, I started to get a bit frustrated at the situation and the fact that the dealership was treating me like this. Eric did call me back and told me that the wheels was not yet there but it was on its way. I asked again if it had been ordered and he said "Yes."That Friday (February 4), I called again and Eric again "had to check and would call me back." I never heard back from him so I contacted the General Manager (Steve) to get him involved. When he called me back, he informed me that a wheels had not been ordered but that he had them order on. The reason that he explained to me that a wheel had not been ordered was that Dave wanted to know what the resolution was from the damage complaint that was filed with the shipping company before he ordered another wheel.After another week, I was told that the wheel was in and made an appointment to have it mounted on Saturday (February 12). When I arrived, the only individual that I saw was Eric. It took over an hour to have the work done (the first 20 minutes involved the wheel (unprotected) sitting by a door that people were coming in and out of. Once the work was completed, my wife and I left the dealership.Not only did I not see Dave on Saturday, I also did not see Steve. I am not in a business that involves customer service, but if I was, I would have expected ONE of them to be there to ensure that everything was completed in a timely manner and PROPERLY.In the end, my customer satisfaction was not worth $125 to Dave. Additionally, Eric lied to me NUMEROUS times for reasons that I still do not know. I can say one thing definitively and that is that Grayson Mini/BMW is NO BETTER than any used car salesman I have ever bought a car from. I strongly encourage anyone dealing with this dealership to think twice.

This worked well forme, as I manage my own business with my husband, and run a tight schedule. Andrea was extremely professional and efficient, which I respect very much.
