Vehicle was ok. Purchased it from out of state for an employee. Paid cash. Did not receive the title until the 60th day. Temp tag expired the day before. I called the dealership on several occasions prior to the expiration of temp tags and was told the title person was not in and they would leave a message for her. Never once did she call back. It took sending in a friend who lives in the area to the dealership (2 times) to get them to send me the title. Funny, they expect the cash up front but don't appear to give a rip when we need to license the vehicle. Horrible experience.

They were able to get me financed with my poor credit and also got my monthly payment and down payment where I could afford them. This absolutely made my year. Was looking everywhere for a good SUV. Finally, found a 2005 Ford Explorer with low miles. The car runs PERFECT!!! Sales person was very friendly and honest. We purchased a vehicle in September from Midwest Auto Group. After 60 days of having it we found out that we needed a whole new transmission. $4000 later we were back up and running after taking it to a local place. 2 days later we were out of town and the vehicle would not start. Turns out we needed a new oil pump, valves, and many other items totalling $3400. Unfortunately with the crappy warranty that they offer none of this is covered. With the amount of money that we have put into our "new" vehicle we could have purchased a whole other vehicle. I am not happy and would NEVER recommend this dealer to anyone.

Purchased a vehicle June 17,2014 on July 4,2014 car broke down...found out fuel pumps were bad had to replace.. This is only a cpl weeks after purchase and after my 3500.00 down payment kwep in mind.Midwest auto agreed to fix for 720.00 since the dealership wanted 1283.00..really not a deal being that I had the car less than a month...after two weeks sitting n their "shop" i picked the car up and filled my tank...i noticed that all of my gas spilled out and was told "they didn't fix it right"..now the cars back in their shop until august 6, 2014. Now again on September 29,2014 the car is down again Midwest doesn't have the equipment or skill per PATRICK DALTON to repair so I'm out another $2150.00 in repairs!! I cancelled the warranty that I was sold since it doesn't cover anything, the warranty company refunded the $ to Midwest Auto... Midwest is giving me the run around abt my refund money because come to find out they purchase the warranty for ALOT less than they sell it for!!!!! Now I've been asked NOT to come back to the dealership because they owe me $$$!!! Steer very very clear....#poorcustomer service, #poor business practice..Its pityful!!!!

They had the exact make and model of vehicle we wanted listed online and were ready to buy it pending a good test drive. We called to see if it was still available, were told it was, so we made an appointment to come out the next evening. We asked that they call us if it sold in the meantime and he said they would. We never got a call so we drove 30 miles (one way) to this facility where we were greeted politely, and aloofly handed two car keys to similar versions of the one we wanted. We stated we weren't here for those, and specified the one we wanted. To find the one we were talking about, he pulled up their website to check the inventory, and it was there, still live. We told him we didn't see it on the lot when we pulled up. He made a call, and as it turned out, it was already sold. We parted ways but he said he'd call us if he got anymore of the vehicle we like (I doubt it.) The listing is still live online as of writing this review (13 hours later.) These folks seemed nice and he mentioned they move stock quickly, which is great for them, but it seemed like the right hand didn't know what the left was doing and we were out 60 miles as a result. They are friendly and courteous, but missing that extra something that makes top notch customer service. I wish I could say I recommend them, but I don't have a full experience to do so. So my best advice is, give them a try, but call right before you go, and make them go out to the lot and verify the car is there and still for sale.

I'm really torn over my review. I had an excellent experience with my car salesman Anthony. He was absolutely charming and awesome. My reservation was with the General Manager, VC. He came off as very arrogant and snobby. He never once thanked us for visiting the lot or making the purchase. He walked out of his office numerous times and never once acknowledged us being there. I just believe overall he was a snob and if it wasn't for the fact that I wanted the car in question so bad, I would've walked right out of dealership without making a purchase. As for my car, so far so good. I'm not having any problems. I only purchased my car a few weeks ago and I still have this reserve that I feel any day now something is going to go wrong with the car, but I guess everyone feels like that.

We called two days in advance to set up a test drive. When we arrived, the car had not been prepped or even started. There were a total of 3 cars that we tried to check out. They couldn't find keys at first. Then, the cars wouldn't start due to dead batteries on all the cars. Finally, the battery charger was successful. After the battery was charged on one of the cars, it couldn't be started due to no gasoline (or even a gas can to fill it). They had to send someone to the gas station after someone showed up with the gas can from home. We spent 2 1/2 hours at the lot and test drove one car. We were told they would call us the following morning to test drive a second car, but no one called. I guess it worked out for the best. We bought a car elsewhere that day.

I was very pleased with my experience overall. Johnny was very helpful in finding me a vehicle. I test drove 9 or so different vehicles. There were a few that I liked, some I didn't care for, and others I hated. We settled on three and ended up getting a 2004 Volkswagen jetta. I was a little disappointed with the length of my stay waiting on the paperwork, but I'm a new owner so I am still happy overall. There is still a long process to go from here, so I will make sure to keep my payments on the up and up.

I had inquired about a car with midwest auto and long story short, they made it happen. I had some past events that reflected very bad against my credit, and with such a bad credit score, they made it happen with even a very small down payment. I would not recommend this dealership. There is no integrity. They tell you one thing and write something totally different on the paperwork. They are just eager to make a sale at all costs. Unless you buy within a matter of minutes after going to the lot, they will sell the car from right under you. No loyalty.

On 12/12/2013 my family and I came to Midwest Auto group to look at trucks. Upon arrival I had spoke with a sales rep Brandon, whom helped us purchase our new truck. The truck is a 1999 Ford F-150 with 173,000 miles on it. The people assisted us this evening and helped us get what we needed. The company worked hard to get us financed and stayed after hours to help us drive home in our new purchase. Everyone was very kind and willing to work with us. I would definitely return to this group in the future to purchase another vehicle.

DO NOT BUY FROM PATRICK DALTON!!! He sold me a truck with a ruined engine ($12.5k for a truck with a ruined engine!) When I discovered this, less than one week after he delivered the truck to me, he would not take the truck back or refund my money. II found the truck on cars.com, called Midwest Auto, and Patrick represented the truck to have no major mechanical defects. I flew up from Texas to pick it up, and I identified that the engine made a ticking noise during the test drive. The Mechanic, Bill Lane swore that it was an "exhaust gas leak" and that they would fix it. Patrick agreed with him. They were wrong-- the truck actually had sand and mud in the engine from being submersed under water! He scams people. Watch out. I am now stuck paying $3k for a replacement engine for the truck. I have filed with the Johnson County DA and they have many claims against him. Buyer beware-- stay far away from this cheater.

THIS DEALERSHIP SCAMMED ME!! Vehicle was represented to be in good shape but my independent mechanic discovered it had sever abnormal wear (to the point of requiring major repairs soon). Patrick Dalton at the dealer would not take the vehicle back!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!

ON NOV 19 - HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF PURCHASING WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A CAR. WHAT ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A CAR. I DEALT WITH MEN THAT I THOUGHY WERE TRUST WORTHY BUT I FOUND THAT TO BE UNTRUE. I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE NOT ONE BUT TWO SINCE I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP. I HAVE CALLED REPEATEDLY AND WITH NO RESPONSE. I WILL NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS THERE AGAIN AND WILL DO MY BEST TO MAKE SURE THAT I LET EVERONE KNOW THAT THIS DEALERSHIP IS NOT RIGHT. I have never been to a better used auto dealer and I definitely recommend them to anyone who doesn't have the best credit and needs a vehicle now. You won't find a better used auto dealer in Olathe.

Havent driven off the lot and made the final deal yet but overall I am pretty content with what we have came up with. They found the truck I have been looking for and I am happy with it. They took mine in on trade so it worked out for the both of us.

I love how my wife and I got finance for a car. they work with me about helping me out with a great car that we both love. before anything happen i told juanito that i was looking for a family car and he told me to mark down the year and the model of the car and to see what he can help me out with. i had many cars that i like but one just felt great. the Nissan pathfinder caught my attention and i told him about it. he said i got the keys for it go ahead and take it for a spin. so we did and me and my wife both agreed that Nissan pathfinder was really good for us. we are a family of three. we bought because we also like for our family to come with us in any trip we might take. it was all worth it.

Bought a vehicle here. Had two service items that were supposed to be addressed. Dealership has refused to return phone calls or honor their contract. Have already spent over $2K in making the needed repairs that were included with my sale. Very Poor service.

To start off, this particular location was an old sonic drive-in and you could only go one way. When I got the location to look for the car I saw online, I drove around the whole place didnt see the car, then had to back out of the place. Two of the four times I tried calling the place, I received a fax machine. Once the dealer did answer he was very rude. Turns out the car I was looking for, that was posted online, was not actually on the lot, because the dealer was driving it himself. Once I said that I wanted to test drive it his first question was, "Are you paying with cash?" He was very rude and basically proceeded to tell me that he would not be able to work with me on my trade-in. And he followed that up by saying,"I am not too worried about selling this car, so ...." I then said thanks for your time and I decided to take my business elsewhere. This dealer was rude and was very unwilling to help. I got the feeling he didnt want to sell me the car because he was driving it and he liked it. I would not recommend this place to anyone for anything.

I walked in this place and looked right at a gentleman sitting at a desk, and he looked at me and then looked back at his computer. A little later a guy who was already with a customer asked me if I had been helped and told the guy on the computer to help me. he calls me over and asks " what do you need?' (he probably didn't take me serious because i"m 18 and to him looked like a waste of time.) I told him I was here to look at a specific car, and he proceeds to look it up on the website to see if they have it. After that he gets a copy of my license and insurance. Next he starts to enter my info into the computer, stops and yells over to another guy, " can you help this kid, im gonna get out of here" So he leaves and the owner i assume, (kent) shakes my hand and is much more respectful. He shows me where the car is on the lot and hands me the keys to check it out. I had already looked at the car online and liked it. I walked around the car and it was very nice on the outside, but when i got in the car it smelt of cigarettes and was FILTHY. Part of the carpet was cut out, the seats were stained, and the carpet was stained and in major need of being vacuumed. i didnt even start it and was uninterested by seeing the interior condition. I told kent about the filth and he said that somebody might have lent it out and not cleaned it up. Very disappointed in this place. The man who originally helped me had a limp.

I was looking for a fairly in-expensive vehicle for my daughter for college. After going to five dealerships in Olathe and Overland Park without success, I purchased a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Midwest Auto Group. They didn't play the back and forth negotiating game like the others did. They truly wanted to sell me a car at a fair price so I would be happy. The car runs great!!! AND, the salesman provided excellent customer service. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Midwest Auto Group if you are looking for a good priced, good running vehicle, with no games. Jenny :)

I have bad credit and have been turned down by everybody in the KC Metro. Not only have I been turned down by other Used Car Dealerships, they for the most part, treated me like I was inferior since I have bad credit. I FINALLY went to Midwest Auto Group, and was pleasantly surprised to fined a dealership that would get me approved with my bad credit. Not only was I approved to finance a car, the car they sold me was a GREAT car with a good price. The General Manager, Pat Dalton, personally worked with me on the buying process and made it easy for me to drive away within several hours from the time I test drove the car to the time I left. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership to anyone with bad credit that is looking for a good reliable car. They have the BEST customer service in the city. Sincerely, Joe Williams

After seeing an add for a 2006 Ford Expedition, I decided to stop by to take a closer look. Tom was extremely helpful and patient, but after walking the lot it was evident that the car had been sold. There were so many SUV's to choose from that I was willing to settle for something else instead. Not a big deal. The Lincoln Navigator was pulled around, but wouldn't restart when I turned it off. Tom said that it was due to someone draining the battery. I decided to go with a 2004 Yukon XL eventhough the check engine light was on (dumb). Tom insisted that it was probably just a minor fix. My three kids and I sat waiting for my application to be processed for three hours before Tom came out to tell me that none of the banks had responded yet and that I would need to come back after the 4th of July holiday. He explained that I would need to leave a $500 downpayment to hold the car. (No, thank you). I went back this morning when they opened and was told that nothing had actually been sent to the banks, my application had not been fully processed and that I would have to come back again later in the afternoon. According to Charles, the finance manager doesn't come in until 11 am and wouldn't be able to help me until 2:00 maybe 3:00. What kind of hours are those? I had so many red flags with these people and after reading all of these reviews, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Best decision I ever made. These people were a major waste of my time. So glad that I never gave them any money.

I sent them an email a few days ago I think it was, about the Ford E350, asking what the final price was after taxes and all that, and I NEVER heard back from them. I left my # and email, no reply either way. If you people arent serious about getting those cars off your lot then perhaps you shouldnt even BE in that business. If theres one thing I hate its when I send out a message and never get a reply. Shows how UNreliable people are. These are the kind of people who REALLY deserve to be unemployed! just for the record, ive never actually visited this dealer.

I Called in requesting a Ford dealer to look at a truck to makes sure the truck was ok to drive a 700 miles( I was told the truck is 100% ready to go to work ) It was tested by a ford dealer and I was told do not drive this truck any where!!! both ball joints are shot and all injectors were bad!( I guess this truck is 100% for them lol!) this place is a JOKE RUN RUN RUE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!

Just to let everyone know there are two businesses that use the same site on Midwest Auto Group. This complaint is for the Midwest Auto Group located in Olatha, KS. The business located on Missouri is called Midwest Auto Parts and are not a part of this complaint. My husband called to inquire about a title question since we are in a hurry to get the car registered before we move out of state, as my husband proceeded to talk with one of the sales associates about his question the sales associate hangs up without any explanation. My husband calls back and asks for the manager, irritated that he was hung up on, as my husband is talking to him about the title of the car the manager proceeds to tell my husband that he will not get the title for 90 days and that was common *insert profanity* sense. So, my husband snaps back due to the reason of profanity used by the manager, he (my husband) told the manager that getting the title in 90 days was unacceptable, since we were only given a 30 day temp. tag. The manager then proceeds to hang up on my husband. My husband calls back for a 3RD time, this time asking for the owner. The owner answers and just as my husband is about to explain the situation the OWNER goes on a banter cussing and screaming at my husband. This is completely unacceptable, AVOID this business at all costs, it is not worth waisting your time with unprofessional employees and owner. If they are willing to cuss at a customer for asking a question and trying to get information on a vehicle just purchased what else would they do? Many have stated before me that this was a horrible place and they are absolutely right. If I could give this place a 0 I would. However, the place in Missouri where we actually purchased the car is very helpful and they claim to not be affiliated with the business in Olatha, KS. The business in Missouri is called Midwest Auto PARTS not GROUP. The owner of the Midwest Auto Parts is was very helpful and is requesting an overnight of the title to him and then will proceed to overnight the title to us.

I told him you know what I came back here first showing some loyalty and this is how you treat me rude and disrespectful, I'm taking my business elsewhere. Keep shopping people. Called about a 1999 Convertible Saab today march 28,2013 Made a 4 o'clock appt w salesman Tom so I could drive the vehicle, The sales staff did not even greet me when I came in, I asked for Tom and he came out to look for the keys, after 10 mins on the lot says , " I think we sold it " think I said I just drive an hr in rush hr traffic just spoke w you at 2 , then he says hold on it might be being detailed down the street , after another 30 mins another sales man comes out and says ,"you waiting on Tom , well the car has been sold" These people have horrible customer service! Please don't patronage this dealership. The bad reviews are true .

They had an absolute amazing selection that after going to several lots before shopping was a refreshing break to see higher quality vehicles like BMW offered, and could not believe how many nice cars they had to choose from. Iv'e known Lane for a long time. He's smart, and he can spot a good deal. He wants to help people get back on their financially and be able to afford the car that they need or desire. But sometimes, there can be problems. You can't always anticipate everything that could go wrong with a used car..You are buying a USED car aren't you..? But your gonna get a good deal on a nice car, the one you want to be seen driving..Also, he has good mechanics and extended warranties....and that kinda stuff.And I don't know about you...these days, my credit score isn't quite as high as it used to be..soo MidWest Auto has a huge huge HUGE, I MEAN HUGE SELECTION of cars, and trucks and suvs. All price ranges with financing....couple nice of really nice bikes, wish he let me ride one...I know he's got at least two...We could ride out to central Kansas OR Colorado. We have been friends along time..gonna to be nice today...Lane..wake up. You have a alot of very capable people who who also care about people that can handle things for a couple days. You work too much. Also, you need to let people buy up these cars so you can make room for even MORE CARS. hey let's take my boat out to the lake today...or maybe tomorrow

I first stopped by this dealer and spoke to an individual about a vehicle which ended up not being on the lot due to the owners wife drives it. I left my name and number and was supposed to be contacted when the vehicle would be there for showing. Never received a call back. I made another attempt a few weeks later and spoke fresh to another salesman who was more inclined to help at first however after a few quick calls I never received a call back. I took the initiative daily to follow up with the same person and usually got "remind me who you are again?" or "oh ive been slammed" or "the owner isnt around to give me a price on your trade". Being one of the few vehicles in the state in this particular color and trim I went against all gut feelings and drove down a week later. I asked for the sales person I'd been working with who then helped me out immediately but basically started the whole process over again. We discussed my trade and after the boss looked it over I was given a well below book offer on a vehicle thats in great condition. I then tried to possibly negotiate their vehicle down due to their low offer on mine. I asked whats the absolute best you can do on your vehicle and I was given a number $395 higher than what it has been advertised on cars.com for the past 3 months!!! I'm sort of glad I never even got the chance to see the vehicle, if this place is so dishonest about pricing I'd hate to see what they did or do to make their vehicles run.
