Why make an appointment if it doesn't mean it will be honored? 2nd don't call a customer and tell them their vehicle is finished and make them wait AGAIN when they come to pick it up. Customers time is just as valuable as the dealership. Avoid this location! Go to Louisa, Madison..... Anywhere HAS to be better than this

The mechanic that worked on my car was the third person to check out what my complaint with the car was. The first 2 times I brought it in I was told there was nothing wrong. Finally this young man said the problem was the clutch and he fixed it. I am so glad he fixed it because I was very upset that I kept being told my car was fine.

Don't even bother with this "business." I scheduled an appointment for warranty repair work on Saturday at 8am. By 3:23, I hadn't heard and followed up. I was told the car was still being worked on. When I arrived at 3:52, the doors were locked and the service adviser had left. I was able to get my keys from a man still there, but it was still unclear if the repair had been done. I followed up on Tuesday, and miraculously they had no record of my car even being there on Saturday. I left my number to get a call-back and didn't hear back. I decided to follow up again Thursday, and still got no clear response if the work had been done. It seems no one in the service department knows anything about a car that was left with them. I have the tags that were placed in my car as well as on my keys, the 3 emails, and 3 text messages reminding me of the appointment. I guess I'm better at documentation than a business. If you value communication, knowledgeable staff, and trust the security of your vehicle, DO NOT take your car here for service. Calling this a business is a joke! Needless to say, I do not trust Malloy Ford of Charlottesville with any service or future car buying. I'd rather drive to another dealership hours away before trusting any property with these individuals.

I had my sunroof glass replaced somewhere else and it sounded like the window was open. I asked the service dept if they could take a look at it for me. They were able to make adjustments so that now my sunroof is a quiet as before it was replaced.They were great! I appreciate all there help.

Well, this is my first experience with Malloy Ford, and all I can say is WOW! From the time we walked in the door, until the time a deal was made, we were treated like Royal family! Each and every person we dealt with, from the salesmen Jeff and Hakiem, to the manager and to the finance person, all went out of their way to make my wife and I comfortable, and extremely happy with the deal. I have waited a lifetime to own a Mustang, and without the help of the entire Malloy Ford staff, I probably would still be waiting for my dream car. A+++++ rating. Malloy Ford is my home for all my auto needs.

I came to malloy to consider buying a truck, I found exactly what I was looking for, while waiting in the lobby I met Kevin,I thought he was just a customer he lent me his charger, while my young salesperson test drove my soon to be truck. We chatted about customer service and how important it was. I was given great customer service from my young sales man and then by Kevin who look over my transaction. My only complaint would be with the finance person, who both myself and my significant other felt took a long time preparing paperwork for my CASH sale. When questioned about why it took so long to prepare our cash deal, especially when I stressed how time was of the essence since I had a 45 min drive home and had to be back to work in less then 5 hours and needed to sleep. The finance response was "either you want you paperwork done right or wrong". My response was if you believe you could do it wrong then maybe we have the wrong person preparing our paperwork. He was pushing a warranty which I told both sales persons we were not interested in. I told the finance person several times, he still overspoke me and attempted to make me feel as if I was a first time buyer who was desperate for a vehicle, I was ready to leave the deal on the table. I told him such, then he asked if "I didnt like him" I replied I do not and dont appreciate a young man who is old enough to be my son to be so disrespectful, he never apologized. He then gave me misinformation about dep monies and wanted payment in check in full. I told him I would not do that and was not prepared to do that today, but I would expect to leave a 1-5k dep on my amex and would bring certified funds upon pickup of vehicle on Monday. He questioned repairs we agreed to and then told me not to worry about any depoist, even after I told him I didnt want the car put back on the lot and have never purchased a car without leaving some sort of depoist. He assured us we could leave and didnt need to leave any $$. We got almost home when we received a call stating that was not the case, that full payment was expected. Honestly if I didnt like my experience with Kevin, I would of told him to keep the car. I came back with a check that night even though it cut into the 3 hours sleep I got before returning to the hospital for a 12.5 shift. With that said when I picked up my truck all the detailing was not complete but Kevin was on it and we worked out a plan. I brought my truck in he confirmed its arrival(since I brought it in before his hours). I was unable to pick it back up the same day and told Kevin I would get it on Wed am. I received a text from Kevin that I was getting service fit for a King, they were delivering my truck to my home. That saved me a lifetime of stress of having family driving me in and dropping me off. When I saw it the next day, all I could say is the detail department did an incredible job both inside and outside. I would highly recommend Malloy to the hundreds of individuals I work. I would recommend Kevin in a heart beat he is friendly, well versed and professional. His attention to detail in completing the transaction and his follow up made this purchase a pleasure. Thank you again, your sales team, service team and detail team are incredible.

I recently bought a 2016 Ford Focus from Malloy Ford on Pantops, and have taken it back due to paint damage from train transportation. And while my car IS covered by my warranty, and was re painted. The paint and collision department is the absolute WORST group of people I have ever had to deal with. Not only have I had to take my car back 4 times for trash in the paint. The 5th time I took it back, they not only STILL did a terrible job on the paint, they also destroyed my interior of my car. ALL door panels were scratched up, glue all over my dashboard, headliner bent up, seals and plastic molding messed up and the list goes on!!!!And a month of dealing with this department, my brand new car is still not fixed!!!!I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from these people again, nor will I EVER recommend ANYONE to this dealership. The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service ever!! My fience and I are now in the process of persuing a lawyer.They do NOT have a clue as to what customer service is, it has also become obvious that they do not pride themselves on pride in their work. I been lied to since day one, and no matter who I have taken this matter to within Malloy, they ALL lie to cover for one another. They have lied to me about the status of my car, that they can't even remember the things that they have said or promised. Save your selves A LOT of hassle and go elsewhere.

This is the first review I have ever made in my 44 years. I was so displeased with the lack of respect and unethical behavior that I feel I have to write this. I would highly recommend you not purchase from these liars. DO NOT MAKE an out of town drive to get "a great deal" without having such deal in writing. They low ball your trade-in, they add all kinds of fees, and epitomize all that you despise about dealing with dealerships. Luckily, I had another dealer that was a complete 180 from Malloy. They were courteous, respectful, genuine, and have a no hassle approach. They gave my full asking price on my trade-in without haggling. The opposite of Malloy. I would not buy nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. You can get a better deal somewhere else.

Been looking for a newer car for over a year, had done my homework and knew what I was looking for. Saw this Subaru online and when the price was reduced, went to check it out. It was just what I wanted. Didn't expect to purchase it that day, so had driven up with friends. Kevin and the other team members were very courteous, helpful, and patient (not pushy or over-bearing), and made the whole process go smoothly. He was willing to accept my trade-in sight unseen and sent someone to pick up my vehicle in Lynchburg the next day. Kevin, the salesman who helped us, was easy-going with no pressure. We had shopped here before and worked with another salesman and had the same experience. The other car happened to be a BMW as well, and both cars have been working flawlessly. We subsequently purchased an extended warranty for the second car, so as to relieve any worry of anything going wrong on the 2007 550. Mike, the finance manager, who sold us the warranty, was easy-going and nothing but informative, making sure the purchase we made was exactly what we wanted. Overall, a wonderful experience with no complaints.

My parents bought a brand new 2016 Ford Explorer from this dealership. On the way to the dealership for the 5000 mile tune-up (oil change and tire rotation) it broke down. Dealership wouldn't help. Couldn't send a driver to get her, doesn't provide loaners, and basically couldn't be bothered. Attempted to make her feel foolish by saying they couldn't replicate issue or get code to diagnose. She was told they could finish the job within hours... More like a day! Service said they'd call will an update by COB but that didn't happen. Wouldn't give her a ride to get a rental, her husband picked her up and handled that. Asked that she drop the rental of on her way back to the dealership... How? Were they going to pick her up this time? Then they asked that she sign the receipt for the rental!I tried to contact the GM but I continuously got the run around. Guess he can't be bothered either.

Unexpectedly charged me $20 for an oil drain plug that would have cost $5 at a parts store. Sure, the head was rounded a little and could be replaced, but that's a pretty steep price for a part that wasn't totally necessary.

My family and my girlfriend's family has used the Malloy dealerships for quite a while. I chose Malloy in C'ville because of this. Steven, our salesman, was great. He was not pushy at all, he listened, and kept me engaged and made sure that me and my girlfriend got what we were looking for in a vehicle. I purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion, and I love the vehicle. The sales experience was very comfortable. If I could give Steven a higher rating, I would. I will go back to him in the future and refer people to him.A side note that I would like to reiterate, when I went to the finance director to do the closing paperwork was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have ever had. The gentleman doing the closing was trying to sell me the protection plan, and after listening to the pitch I explained to him that I did not want the program. He pushed and pushed, after I told him at least 10 times, "no". For future reference, when someone says "no", that means stop. This is not a representation of Steven, he was fantastic. My issue comes to the finance director. I work in sales, and I understand the value in an upsale, but when a customer says no, the attempt should cease. It should not begin a more pushy tactic to sell them a product. Again, Steven was fantastic. The service department was great. Detailers were friendly and thorough. I will refer friends and be coming back for my next purchase.

Came from Richmond because I wasn't satisfied with the service there. Patrick was very helpful and worked really hard to get the deal done. The only suggestion would be to have a disclaimer on your website of what incentives are included in the discounts, the online price was a little misleading and the price was one of the main reasons I decided to look outside the Richmond area.

W e brought our 2014 Ford Fusion in for regular maintenance, but also mentioned that we had found nut shells in the engine compartment and asked that a check be made for small animals. The regular maintenance was completed and no further evidence was found of animals under the hood at that time.Shortly thereafter we began to smell a foul odor in the car. We cleaned inside the car as well as we could and used air freshener, but the odor got steadily worse so we fought it back in. The cabin air cleaner was checked and found to be clogged with debris which looked like the work of a small squirrel, chipmunk or other small animal. Changing the cabin air filter and cleaning the area (which must have been an unpleasant job) seemed to correct the problem and the odor has not reappeared.

My wife and I traveled from Lexington Va which is about an hour and a half from Cville. I had spoken with Gene and Rusty the day earlier and had promised me they'd beat any deal i'd been offered from previous dealers if we'd make the drive to Charlottesville! They made good on their promise and then some. Fred was our salesman and he was also very helpful and has helped me with some of the options on the vehicle since the purchase. We love our F250 and can't wait to try it out pulling our camper this month. The buying process was very smooth and they were very patient with us and helped us to get exactly what we wanted. I bought a 2006 Honda Accord from Malloy Ford. They did the expected gloss over job on the body which hid the paint damage well. Ethically that sucks that a dealership would do this, but I'm sure it's an acceptable, yet crappie practice by most dealerships. When it comes to safety, I'd hope that every dealership operates with the utmost care for its consumers. Malloy Ford did not meet these basic expectations. Malloy Ford sold me my vehicle with extremely worn tires.. Not tread worn tires, but tires that were severely cracked and dry rotted. I'm thankful that they have held up. As I just purchased new tires, the customer service rep pointed out how my safety was in jeopardy as well as the very bad practice by this dealership. The tires were very glossed up at the time of purchase, so it was unnoticeable. It may have been unnoticeable to me at the time of purchase, but I'm certain that it was noticeable by the techs who work on the cars. This is disappointing after purchasing the vehicle at their asking price. I figured that anyone desiring to do business with Malloy Ford in Charlottesville VA should be aware of their questionable practices.

I have a business that has 13 ford vans. I took 2016 Transit van to have a door hinge fixed. They wrote estimate for the work to be done, we then planned a day for them to have the vehicle - the told me it would be done in 2 days. We are now on day 6 and they are still not done. EVERY person that I speak with can only say sorry. I have now had to call 15 of my customers and let them know we have to reschedule there service because Malloy ford can't fix a door on a brand new van. When I ask for the GM he apparently is never in the bldg, and his VM is not set up... what. They are not capable of repairing ANYTHING and there customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 15 years of management. Find ANYONE other then Malloy.

My wife and I were starting our holiday vacation by driving from northern Virginia to Memphis, TN. While setting the odometer...I find we are in need of an oil change. Rather than delaying our trip, we decided to look for a Ford dealership, being we have the maintenance plan, in route. Realizing it had to be the worse possible time to have a dealership fit us into what had to be a very busy time for them. Talking over the phone, Malloy was most accommodating/considerate of our situation. Upon arrival, our service writer continued the quality of service projected over the phone. He delivered the promise made on the phone and we were able to continue our trip with minimal interruption. In addition, while waiting, we talked with the finance/insurance lady about extending the maintenance plan. She was very knowledgeable/informative...so much so, being we're a hour away, we'll consider Malloy when we replace this vehicle.

Service consultant Jennifer Shipp was great. Pick-up (at end of day) was somewhat slow - the didn't know where the vehicle was. Truck seems to be running fine, so no complaints on repair work. Access to and from this dealership to the highway is not convenient.

the service department was very efficient and I didn't have to wait long for an oil change and vehicle check-up. my biggest gripe, especially since i purchased the vehicle from you, is that you don't do a quick vacuum of the interior. Jiffy Lube does it and it takes them about 5 minutes and that extra touch makes a big difference. when I asked the service person about it, she said oh we don't do detailing as an extra service or something like that. I don't want the vehicle detailed, just vacuumed. I don't think it's unusual request. Other than that, I like Ford and will probably buy again from you. scott kingston

I called on Monday for a Friday morning appt. when making the appointment I said I have need of an oil change, Works package, and I need the receptacle buckle to my driver side rear seatbelt assembly replaced. I said the buckle was broken and didn't work. I asked how long it would take, and after holding for a few moments the reception rep said could be up to 3 hrs because they may have to take the seat off. So I went in that Friday, April 1, and waited 2.5 hours from 7:30a until 10:00a. I was then told that the part needed to be ordered for the seatbelt, but my oil change had been done. I would get a call when the part was in and I could schedule another visit.First, I can't imagine that there are too many different types of seatbelt receptacles. Second, why wouldn't these be in stock. Third, if it takes an order, why wasn't it ordered when I called to make the appointment. Fourth, why then did it take so long for an oil change.Now I get a call that my part is in, first thing Monday April 4. I then scheduled the same 7:30 appointment and asked how long it would take. The reception rep, after holding for considerable moments, said 1.5 to 2.0 hrs. I came in at 7:30 and waited until 10:30a for the second Friday morning in a row. At 10:30a I asked how it was coming and the service agent said, "I'll check." The agent came back and said, "it isn't finished yet they had to take off the seat. Our scheduler didn't say they needed to take off the seat." I was offered shuttle service to my 11:00a obligation and instead had someone pick me up at 10:45a. I got a call at 11:05a that my car was ready. I understand that it takes time to do repairs and understand that completely. I expect some repairs to be more complicated than expected. I do not expect that it takes 3 hrs to remove the back seat of a stock Ford Fusion and replace 1 seatbelt receptacle and then replace the seat. I also do not appreciate the lack of information regarding the anticipated remaining duration of the repair. If given full information and options then I would have made a different choice about leaving the dealership just 20 min prior to completion of the repair.I also didn't get a oil change sticker printed and replaced.

He gave my little girls balloons as well as let them play with toys at the desk. As far as pricing goes they did all they could to get us down to our requested monthly payment. But I wouldn't have bought the truck had our customer service not been a 6star out of 5star effort.

I have email and voice mail correspondence were they lie and back track. Spend your money elsewhere, sometimes it's better to pay a little more for service.

I wish there was a 0 star rating, 1 star is way to generous. After a lengthy perhaps usual sales back and forth discussion price went up from Saturday to Monday. When I questioned the salesperson the sales manager lied about the time period and jacked up the price, and I was told to either take it or leave it. Right after uttering these words sales person hung up the phone on my face. This type of thing had never happened to me ever in my life. I guess this is the type of treatment you get when they are tired of you in this dealership. But hanging up the phone on a customer takes a new low. As a businessman myself I was on both sides of this type of situations many times. Never even would of entertain the thought of hanging up on a customer. Unbelievable. I attempted to get in touch with the general manager to perhaps remedy the situation. He was unreachable. Tried: phone, email, snail mail. Nothing worked and my request for a conversation or meeting left unanswered. These people are either not very intelligent, not well trained, don't give a xxxx, self absorbed. I can't tell which is it. In my previous employment I would have been fired for hanging up on a customer. Wouldn't matter who was right or wrong. If you can't handle a customer, you find a higher up to take control of the situation, not just say take it or leave it and hang up. Remind you this is a large Ford dealership, not some mom and pop business. Several days has passed, still no one replied to my request. Incredible!Mr. Malloy's name is attached to this business and I don't think he would like this.

I bought a 2015 Ford Focus a few months ago and I couldn't be happier with it! It was time for an oil change, and I got an email with a coupon. It was extremely affordable and included what I needed and more. When I called to schedule, it was only a day in advance and I was afraid they wouldn't have any available. The women I spoke with got my appointment scheduled for the exact time I needed it! I went to drop my car off, was greeted with smiles from everyone, and was in and out in no time. The woman who checked me in was so helpful and made sure to check if I had any concerns they could check while changing the oil. I expected it to take awhile because it takes hours anywhere else in Charlottesville, but she called me about an hour later and my car was already done! When I picked my car up I didn't have to wait, and they even put plastic on the drivers seat so that the person working on my car wouldn't get grease anywhere. I have had a fantastic overall experience with Malloy Ford so far, and look forward to continuing to do all of my business with them!

I have had multiple issues with Malloy Ford. The latest was when I attempted to have them address an official Ford recall notice. I scheduled an appointment and after keeping the vehicle for an entire day they returned it having performed no work claiming the didn't have the parts. The service representative indicated that they would contact me when the parts were delivered. That was two months ago. They have not responded to my recent inquiries.

I was greeted at the sales office door by a sales person who escorted me to the service desk to check in. Once at the service desk, I was greeted by 2 of the young ladies there that were both very willing to help me with the service on my vehicle. I waited in a comfortable waiting room for less time than was estimated for the service. Upon completion, one of the young ladies came to get me and the paperwork was finished very quickly and I was on my way. Overall, a very pleasant experience dealing with this dealership as a whole.

I was in for an appointment for routine/warranty oil change and it was found that oil drain plug needed replaced and one was not in stock. It would be nice if these were in stock to avoid extra long wait (10:30 - 12:40). Otherwise, staff was pleasant and waiting room nice.

The Malloy Service department front desk people are super, and a discussion I had with a mechanic during a previous visit was really good! The work is always done to my satisfaction, and since I always wait for my vehicle work to be completed, each time the work is done within a reasonable time after my scheduled appointment. And the coffee in the waiting area is great!

I was easily able to find what I was looking for as the trucks were parked according to size/class. After visiting several dealerships, we found most of them had used vehicles parked all over the place in no particular order. We were greeted by Kevin Daughtrey, who was friendly, no at all pushy, and was able to answer all questions in a knowledgeable manner. We were provided a fair trade offer for the quality of vehicle we wished to trade, which was a key factor in us closing a deal. There was nothing shady about the interactions we had at this dealership, unlike many others we have visited during our search. Every employee we encountered was courteous and honest with us. I was very pleased with the quality of service.

When I called I was given an appointment for the same day though it was late in the day when I contacted the service person. The time it took to service my car was reasonable and when it was completed the front service person went over the report with me. She also informed me of a recall on my car and answered my questions and helped me decide when the best time to bring in my car for the recall service. The lounge was clean and the staff was polite and professional.

I never know when I am available being a Pastor. When I need an oil change, I will drop by and see if I can wait (for an oil change). I was told it would be about a 2 hour wait, but having nothing else to do, I chose to wait. I'm glad I did, because I was ready to leave after about an hour. I'm thankful for appointments but they don't always work for me, so walk-in is VERY important to me, even if I have to wait. I always enjoy talking to staff (and other customers) while I wait, everyone is always friendly!

On the off chance the service dept might have time I stopped in to have my 150 inspected. They said yes and that I'd have to wait an hour or so which I was prepared to do. I sat down in the waiting room with my computer to wait. I realized I left something in the truck and went back to the drop off point figuring the truck would still be there since it was only 2 or 3 minutes since I sat down. It was already gone, no big deal, not complaining, the quick service was a pleasure to know. The inspection took less time than I was told, another pleasant surprise.Thank you

The prices are competitive with local garages; however, with the given incentives the prices are sometimes lower than local garages. I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus. April in Used Sales was great at an unbelievable stressful time! George in finance went the extra mile to get an even better interest rate than what was thought to be final. I had already recommended a coworker there to purchase a car for her daughter because April was so good with us. My coworker purchased the day before we bought ours.My only concern is that the gas was not filled prior to our accepting ownership (only 1/4 tank was put in it) and after only 1 week of having the car it is showing the need for an oil change! No sticker on the window showing when the oil was last changed so we don't know if it is legitimate or some sort of malfunction in a sensor!Not so sure that's good business!

Bought a Ford Escape Titanium. Staff were friendly, not pushy, and spent a lot of time explaining things to us. Sure, I did my homework and knew exactly what I was after, but it takes a lot of paperwork, etc, and this was the first time for me in Virginia. Now we're looking at possibly getting a second car there - that should tell you something!I had all the local dealers calling me, but Malloy made the best offer for the trade-in, as well as making sure I got what I was looking for.

My wife and I came last Wed with engine problems. We had just started on a trip to TN to help family and needed our truck. I decided to schedule my service for my vehicle while my wife was having a scheduled major surgery at Martha Jefferson. I dropped off my car and the shuttle took me to the Hospital to wait for my wife to get out of surgery. Shortly after I got to to the hospital, Ford called to let me know that the car was already ready. When it was time, the shuttle returned to pick me up and take me to the dealership to collect my car. While there, I had the opportunity to speak with Nicole. She was awesome and a great asset to the service center. I even tried to recruit her to work with me. Thank you for taking care of my car! I put a lot of miles on her and she appreciates your care.

I bring my car due for some service since it is still under warranty. It was having a few minor issues. When I arrive at the dealership they were too busy doing nothing to help me at the front desk. I eventually talk to a service member. I explain the issue and turn over the keys. The service member makes a comment about my keychain damaging the starter and he will add that to the repairs needed. I refused that option. I was leaving town that afternoon I waited for the free shuttle for an hour and a half. The driver was in no rush to bring me to the airport to catch a flight. I barley made it on the plane. I get a call a few hours later saying I needed four new tires and the issues my car was having where not covered under my warranty. I refused the offer and told them to stop service on my car. They did not even want to talk to me on the phone and demand while I was out of town to pick up the car whitin 24 hours. If you need service done to your car please do not go here at all.

We've been very pleased with our Ford C-Max Hybrid. And when the little vehicle announced it needed an oil change we got it right in. You all also performed additional maintenance by rotating the tires and changing a cabin air filter, and checking the tire pressure. We couldn't have been more pleased!

We took the car in to have a damaged tire replaced and have the car serviced. They called to tell us the center brake light was defective and would be replaced under warranty. This meant either keeping the car overnight or returning it the next day. The first choice worked well for us.

Earlier in your survey I told you exactly how it all went down. Everyone worked well to make it all happen. Our new purchase was a 2016 F-350 Super Duty P-U Truck, Diesel 6-7 engine, 4x4. The selling personal service was very good. What I did not like was the computer information on selling your Ford vehicles. Where are your printed vehicle paper pamphlets? I could not find anything that told me about any specifics on any vehicles without going back to the computer. In my opinion Ford Motor Co. made a bad move here with getting information on vehicles only through a computer. Older potential buyers do not like computers anyway, they are most likely to have the ability to make a larger purchase. The show room was to bright to even see the screen on the computer. The show room needs sun screens on windows. Go back to sales brochures. As far as service goes, none on the vehicle yet. A lot to learn on this truck.

I was told that when I come in at my appointment at 9am, my car will be done after an hour or max 2 hours. When I showed up at 9am, I was told there was a promise to someone to get their car done by noon. So i have to wait until after. I picked up my car at 2pm. My question is this, why set up an appointment if I cannot get it on the time promised? Second, your person at the counter was not very pleasant. I guess we were just used to TOYOTA who's got some customer savvy personnel. Third, I brought my car in for a recall. It's true that the "rattling" has been fixed, but I am still hearing a weird sound. It might be nothing, but I am concerned because it does not sound "smooth." I am still observing and might call back to report the sound again.

On the morning of the service, my car (our only car) battery was too low to start my car (2014 Ford Fusion). By telephone I consulted with Mallow Ford and was able to clarify my situation. After having the battery recharged I was able to bring the car into Malloy Ford. The service department integrated my car into their work load and replaced the battery while I waited.

Everyone was very helpful and yet there seemed to be no clear process from start to finish. We wanted a specific vehicle but finding it proved elusive. Also when we took possession of the car we were told that it had bucket seats vs. a bench seat in the 2nd row but no one called us to ask if that was ok. We accepted the car but then noticed that there were some dings. All will be repaired of course. Then we both felt that the financial end of things seemed somewhat chaotic. All these papers were flying around and we were being asked to sign them. But we had to point out that one of the important forms had not been signed. Then when we picked up the car we were not given the registration for which we had to come back to pick up. It would seem that there should be a checklist of all forms and what the customer should come away with. Also, your bandwidth for internet should be upgraded. Everything was stalling out and Clark was having trouble processing the loan. All in all, I think the customer process could use some work even though Hakiem and Justin were very nice.

I've had a few bad experiences with other car dealerships but when I came to Malloy Ford to get a software upgrade on my Ford Focus, the process was really easy. The staff was helpful and knew what they were doing. Some car dealerships are impossible to get on the phone and don't call you back--Malloy Ford was not like that. When trying to find a good time to bring in my car, the scheduler asked to call me back in order to talk to one of the service managers on my behalf, and she actually gave me a call back. Simple customer service makes a huge difference.

I had been shopping around a lot, had even traveled 4 hours the day before to look for a truck. Decided to give the local guys a chance to see what they could do for me. I dealt with Butch, who got right down to brass tacks. There really was no haggling and he came back with a price that I was very happy with. Next issue was getting the truck which was on another dealers lot. The other dealer was pretty difficult about giving up the truck and by end of day, they still had not agreed on a trade. Malloy sent me home that night (yeah, disappointed), but delivered my truck to me at work the next day! Overall I was very pleased with my experience at Malloy.

Previous experience with a salesman helped us choose Malloy Ford again. The staff we interacted with were helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. Two main parts: testing out the vehicle and paperwork/legal. First part was easy, second was fairly easy too (but wait was longer).The type of vehicle purchased was a Honda in great condition (only two years old, one previous owner). It was the first vehicle we looked at and road tested. I liked it right away. It was a good choice for me.It was very helpful knowing the salesperson beforehand, though. It made the whole process less stressful (sales tactics/pressure, etc). Financial part went through well enough. Lots of signing. Decent bank loan and car payments.

My car had broken down and I was without transportation (which is a big problem for me since I live 40 minutes from work). We purchased a 2011 Ford Escape, our salesperson, David Abraham, listened to what we were looking for then showed us a vehicle that met our needs. The negotiation was straightforward as we said we were not interested in dickering back and forth and needed their best on our trade and the deal. They came close enough on their first offer that we made one counter to close the deal. After bringing our vehicle home we found a small issue and when we notified them they made right quickly. We purchased a 2015 Edge Sport 2.7L V6. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. My purchase took several months. I wasn?t not willing to settle for just any Edge and to my surprise found that manufactures', Ford in this case determine by consumer trends which Vehicle Specifications go to which geographical area. But after long hard persistent searching, Mike was able to find the Edge with 90% of what I wanted. I wasn?t asking for anything that was not part of the Edge specifications so I was very surprised how hard it is for the Dealership to obtain what I wanted.Another thing about the manufactures', why have they made it so complicated? Why have we got so far away from the good old fashion straight forward simplistic selling? Is there always something to hide? If ford wants to sell vehicles K.I.S.S. - it's my age group with the money.

The staff at Malloy Ford were all very helpful and friendly, and I was able to get the exact truck I wanted. There are 4 other Ford dealerships closer to my house, but my wife and I decided to go to Malloy in Charlottesville because they had the most trucks in stock and at great prices. The next time I purchase a Ford, I will definitely drive down to Charlottesville again.

I'm very happy with Malloy Ford. They are unfailingly helpful. Unfortunately for them, they are tied to what I am now convinced -- after owning 3 Fords in my life -- is an inferior product. I would love to give Malloy a higher rating on "How likely are you to recommend us" -- but it's hard to recommend a Ford *dealer* when I can't in good conscience recommend *Ford*.

We purchased a 2016 Fusion. I advised Malloy staff that our new vehicle, purchase the end of August 2015, had a May inspection sticker on the windshield. I asked that it be replaced with the correct month's sticker. It was not.The inside front windshield and inside back window were so dirty that the first night we drove the car we could hardly see through the windows with other lights in front of us or in back of us. I had to stop the car, purchase a can of window cleaner and clean the windows or I could not drive safely. This is not way to turn over a new vehicle to a customer. A very big disappointment for us.

Ford was great. Even though there was a mishap with the first vehicle I was going to buy, I went back and Shannon found me another vehicle that worked for me. This was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership so I had many questions. He was patient with me the whole time. Ford Malloy is a 45 minute drive from home, so I had to go out of my way to get there and didn't want my time wasted. The car itself wasn't quite ready when we picked it up. There was a warning sign for low tire pressure when they said it was ready to go and I had to put air in my tires on the way home. Also the car didn't come with a manual. While the app is very helpful I would also like to have a manual on hand just in case. Post-purchase I do still have a few lingering questions, and am yet to get an email back. Overall I would recommend asking for Shannon when you go to Ford.

I was having issues with my service engine light coming on and brought it in to be evaluated. Ford discovered that there was a problem with the power control module and ordered a replacement. I was notified when the part arrived and brought it in the next day. It was ready by the time I got off work. Very efficient service.

I bought a brand new F150 here last week. I drove it twice, the first time being the ride home from the dealership. The second time I drove the truck we loaded it up with some camping supplies and drove up to Ohio.....the truck broke down on the side of I70. Smoke roaring out of the hood and antifreeze blowing everywhere. It's a Sunday so nothing is open....waited 4 hours for Fords "roadside service" to come get us and tow us to the nearest ford dealership (again closed). I call my wife to load up my 3 small kids and drive the 4 hours to come pick me up.I call Malloy to tell them what happened. The sale manager Rusty says "Oh my God, I want to have a conference call with you and my service manager Bob to get this straightened out." A few hours later Bob calls and says there is nothing he can do, it's Rusty's problem. I call Rusty back and he says there is nothing he call do, call ford customer service. I call Pat, the GM and got a secretary...,I ask her to have Pat call me....he never does.I call ford customer service, they say they can pay for $30 a day for a rental but I have to pay for the rest.....pay for the rental because my brand new vehicle broke down. I asked if they could ship my truck from the Ford dealer in Ohio to my local dealer after my truck was "fixed." They said they had no way to ship my truck.....Ford....one if the largest auto distributors in the world, couldn't ship my truck. Julio, my customer service rep from Ford has been a joke. You can literally tell that he is reading his response to me. And of course....Malloy Ford wants nothing to do with this. Last week when I was giving them nearly $50k I was "joining the Malloy family." I guess they don't treat family well....

There have recalls on this 2011 Ford Fiesta due to transmission problems. We have bought it there before for this and was checked out. My grandaughter Ashley Burruss is owner with me of the car and she has moved to Farmville to go to school and still works in Midlothian. The second experience we had was a few weeks ago when the car lost power on the road from Midlothian to Farmville. She managed to get it back to her apartment with the emergency flashers on. Once she finally got there it would not even start. she called the Ford dealer in Farmville and had it towed to them. She was afraid to even drive it at that point. She had to pay for a rental car for 3 days. When they called her they said they could not find anything wrong with it and it drove fine. They were not the most helpful group. Our fear is that the car will do this again on the road and she will be left on the road. She did feel some hesitation again which is why she bought the car to Malloy Ford in Charlottesville. I live here and Ashley was at my house with the car at the time. Hopefully she will not get hurt since other drivers do not like vehicle to drive slow even if they have a problem. I just want to voice my concern over this situation. I hope it will not happen again, but if it does we will attempt to bring it back to you. I do feel more confident in your service. Thank you.

Mechanics were helpful, front staff listin to what my concern on a few items. Plus I did mention and ask how often should my air filter needs changing they mention 12 to 15 thousand miles. This I wonder in which it was never charged out. It was changed out in Arizona. This tech took the time and look it over and the shape that it was in I would say it was due 10 thousand miles back. So now I wonder am I getting the proper oil put into my truck, Greece fitting. Also the cover under the trek was not properly installed back.

I will definitely request Seth the next time I come in there. On the other hand, the sales manager was incredibly rude and I actually left the dealership because of him. I only went back after the internet manager called me back (who was very nice). The deal would not have happened if he didn't call me, strictly because of my experience with the sales manager. Again, Seth did everything he could to ease the tension between the manager and I so I do appreciate that.

I took my Ford Fusion in for routine maintenance and because my horn was not sounding. The service team managed to fit me in on a Friday morning with less than a day's notice. They were very busy, but managed to have my car looked at and serviced before noon. A part has been ordered for the horn and will be in this coming Tuesday. I already have an appointment scheduled for Wednesday morning to have it installed. Joie Watson was particularly helpful over the phone and very professional in person. I also appreciated the courtesy van service which dropped me off in time for a morning appointment and came back to collect me when the appointment was over and my car was ready. The maintenance receives an A, but your shuttle services gets a D-. The shuttle driver dropped my wife at her office and was supposed to return at 4pm. My wife even sent a reminder to the shuttle driver. Sometime after 4, she contacted the driver to find out that he had forgotten her. I had to drive across town and back at rush hour to get help her pick up her car. I hope this isn't the norm.

I came in without an appointment with a dead battery. And, had a 70,000 mile check up while there, and they found a problem with the transmission (which will be taken care of with the extended warranty). I was back on the road in 2 hours, meanwhile being able to work in a wifi environment that was conducive to doing business. All in all a very good experience.

The overall service experience went well and everyone at the dealership was courteous and professional. I have two (2) observations:1 - It would be great if the service advisers could keep the customers updated on the progress of their vehicle. I was told from the start that diagnosing a possible electrical system issue would take a little time and to be patient. After four (4) hours and not hearing from anyone in the service department, I went back and had to ask about the progress of the service. I fully understand that service takes time, but not being told about where the progress was after four hours is a bit much.2 - I have made this suggestion before. Other dealerships give the serviced vehicles a quick wash after the service is completed. This would be a nice touch at Malloy as well.Thank you!

The service manager called as soon as the car was ready (earlier than requested) and everything was "good to go" (paperwork, bill, etc.) when I came back to pick up the car. Couldn't ask for more.

I bought my 2014 ford focus in May 2015. I wanted a nice clean , car. Afte 3rd day i bought it problems appeared. I took it to service : because left front wheel had problem with transmission. Even Sales person confirmed the problem ,but their service said car has no problem. After 10 days problem ocured more and i took it again, they said there is no problem and the car is getting used to driver. which was ridiculous. After i took it 5th time they said my car was recalled by the ford. but car service manager was so rude and he was shouting at me. they were not helpful they tired to rip me off. and they said i have to wait untill september till my car get fixed and they wouldnt give me any vehicle untill then. Or they said they can trade my car and give me new one if i accept to loose $ 3000 . it wasnt even my fault why would i loose money for ? i high dont recommend you to even visit them . terrible terrible service.

I will say that this was truly the BEST car buying experience that I have ever had and I will definitely go back and also would recommend this dealership to anyone. I purchased a 2012 Ford Escape Limited that is certified pre-owned and it is in excellent shape and was well detailed by Malloy. Butch was taking care of me and also a guy in training, Cliff. They were excellent. When I got to the finance department they were busy and backed up. During my wait, Cliff kept checking in to make sure we were doing ok and also the manager checked on us until the time we left. Butch was there with us the whole time as well and walked us out to the car when we left even though it was 2 hours past their closing time. They all stayed until the job was finished. Very highly satisfied on the whole experience! Thank you Butch and Malloy Ford!

Did "The Works" on my 2014 Ford Focus. Service itself was great, the car was outside within an hour I think. The paperwork took another hour though and I didn't get a multi-point inspection report because "the printer was not working".

I was very upset with my car seeing as how I'd only had it a year and a half and this was the second clutch I have personally put into the car. But frank made an otherwise terrible time much easier. Too pushy..came in to kick tires on a Sunday were open...played the game and sales person April was knowledgeable and I enjoyed the test drive in a F250. .I told her it may be up to 2 months before I.made a purchase.. She has called me 3 times in 7 days ...I told April she had my business when I was ready ..Now I lied I'll go to another dealership that doesn't push..also unsubcribed to your email..

The main thing that comes to mind is that the whole process took nearly 5 hours! There has to be a better way! I have purchased vehicles at Carmax and it took only 1 hour! So I feel that if there is some way to streamline your processes to shave off a couple of hours, your customers would have a much better experience

The car was to have an inspection and oil change. The windshield wipers were replaced. We made an appointment to come in at 9AM so we didnt have to wait so long. We were there just under three hours waiting. What was to be done on the car the wait should have been no more than 1 1/2 hours. And even that is a long time. Other than that everything else was ok.

Overall this was a great experience. The vehicle (A used Expedition I found online through Cars.com) was as nice and clean as advertised (as opposed to several others I had looked at previously). Living approximately almost 2 hours away, I was hesitant to even go, but was glad I did. The sale was not high-pressure and I felt I could have walked away if needed without a problem (not that I wanted to). I was very happy with the process, and would recommend Malloy to others.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. While the staff seems to be knowledgeable, they are not friendly. No help was offered to make the experience less dreadful. I had noticed that the indicator light for the headlights was not showing up properly on the dash , your technician indicated it is working properly. Now it not only does not show up correctly, I no longer get a beep when I leave the lights on and leave the car. I am new to having my car serviced as my husband always did it for me and I could use a little more help than I have received since Rick Morris left.

Service was good, no complaints about time taken, but waiting area was DEPRESSING. The do-it-yourself coffee machine was OK, but the seating area was crowded and the chairs were uncomfortable. The single small table was insufficient. Why not put lots of new car literature around? I would like to see information on the new cars and trucks. Yes, I could have wandered about the showroom upstairs, but then would have lost my seat. How about some cookies or donuts? MAKE me want to return.

Dropped off my diesel F250 for an oil change, air and fuel filter replacement. Waiting room area was nice with a counter/ desk so I could take care of some business while I waited. Everything was done in a relatively short time and I was back on the road. Staff was helpful with letting me know that both filters were indeed in need of replacing and they kept me informed as to how much longer until it was done.

I'm a first time buyer, my first car was given to me for free by a church member. I came by on a lunch break one day and met with Kevin. We walked around and checked out a couple of the Focus'. I came back a couple days later to see if we could get something going - my car was completely done, and I needed something for my job or I'd potentially lose it. Everything was almost set but, because I have no credit, we ended up running into problems. When this happened, I counted atleast 4 people running around making calls and looking things up to get me a great car one way or another. Greg Walker finally walked out and sat down with me, telling me he got me approved on a brand new 2015 Ford Fiesta. We got all of the papers worked out and I drove away that day in that car. Everyone worked so hard to ensure the sale went through, and I could tell it was about more than just making money for their dealership. I've had the same issue with the transmission in my 2012 Focus since I bought it. I have had 4 prior visits to fix and the problem still remained. Three of those visits where in Colorado Springs, Colorado and the last two here at Malloy Ford. I "believe" they have fixed it this time but the jury will remain out for a couple months. I greatly appreciate their professionalism and resolution in this matter.

Frank and the service manager at Malloy did a great job. The Ford warranty division is another story. They REFUSED to honor the warranty on a defective power mirror by saying it was my fault and the appeal process was useless. We will not be buying anymore Fords. So they got me once but never twice.

I called the morning of the service (oil change) to ensure it was OK to bring my truck in. Upon arrival I informed the young lady at the service desk that I had called to make arrangements to have the oil changed in my truck. She had no reference to my call or request for service but it was early in the day and not busy so all went well. My truck was ready in less than an hour and off I went. I do appreciate that my truck was well cared for while in for service - no grease spots or marks on the interior! This level of service is very important to me and your service department excelled!

The staff did fine with the actual appointment (an annual inspection) but we were very surprised when we picked up the car (which we bought new at Malloy a year ago) to be charged $16. We had expected the inspection to be free, as many other dealerships and businesses do around town. Businesses obviously do that because in the long run it leads to more business (as they discover discrepancies)? Plus, the fact that we bought the car there just one year ago, yet got charged for an inspection, didn't seem right. Lastly, we get these postcards in the mail from Malloy telling us about our great "service rewards balance" and yet none of that was applied to our charge. Bottom line - dealerships are never an inexpensive option for service - and the fact that we received zero loyalty/benefit as a purchaser from Malloy, means we will likely not take our car there to get serviced once our warranty expires.

Great costumer service from start to finish. I first received an add/email from Michael, which encouraged me to come in and test drive the new car. After I was blown away by the car, we quickly started talking numbers. Russell, along with Michael were able to quickly find a deal that I was comfortable with that included the trade-in of my current vehicle. After the deal was reach I met with George, who put all the paperwork together and allowed me to insure everything looked correct. After my new car had been detailed I was all ready to drive off when Michael explained that while detailing a small scratch was noticed on the front of the new car. If asked my to bring the car back later in the week and they would take care of the scratch free of charge. I brought the car back just 3 days later and an expert detailer removed the scratch and gave me advise on keep the car looking new. I received top level costumer service from beginning to end and could not be more happy with my experience at Malloy. Thanks again to Michael, Russell, and George for doing such a great job.

Malloy's initial diagnosis for the periodic appearance of the oil sensor light seemed questionable. After further travel and consideration, we authorized replacement of a switch, SW-6889-6U5Z-9278-M. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. One of your managers always comes over to talk to us while we wait. We usually bring our dog, Scooter, and she is a dog lover. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and has given us some good advice on more than one occasion about different problems we have had with our dog while we are waiting. Very friendly and kind. She is also the one that got us our Ford racing hats when we got our truck. There is a very good chance that you will be seeing more of me and my wife and my dog at your dealership. I purchased a 2015 Focus, the exact configuration was not available in the DC metro area so I ended up contacting Malloy Ford in Charlottesville, who had the car in stock. They were very easy to work with over email, making the negotiation phase very straightforward. We were able to quickly arrive at a mutually agreeable out the door price and I drove down from DC that afternoon to pick up the car. The car was already detailed and ready to go, I was out the door with my new car in under an hour, including processing my trade. All of the staff was genuinely friendly and not at all pushy to try and get me to buy any of the add-ons that dealers typically make you say no to five times. The two hour drive was more than worth it for the better deal and the exceptional service.

Good experience as I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to the dealership to view & purchase the vehicle, 2 1/2 hour return trip home. Product as advertised. Keith the salesperson was friendly and efficient.One problem with the vehicle that will require a re-flash of the transmission per TSB 08-4-16. Your dealership is too far away for me to make the trip back to take advantage of the brief warranty conditions set for 30 days or 1000 miles, 50% shared cost. Thus I will bear the full cost of the repair. Wish that could have been carried to any Ford dealership. That would have allowed me to get it done locally under the warranty conditions.

In terms of actual service to the car, everything was fine. But trying to communicate to schedule an appointment was a serious challenge. I started by calling the service dept. and ended up having the phone just ring and ring and ring...no one answered (this was at 3pm on a Monday). Next I tried scheduling via the website. I sent the email in and never recieved a response. So after three days, I called again and was transferred to someone in customer support. They were able to create an appointment for me, but within 10 minutes of hanging up, someone else called me. They claimed to be calling to schedule an appointment to which I said that had just been taken care of. This isn't the first instance of failure of communication either. Roughly sixth months ago, I tried the email way of scheduling an appointment and it took almost a full week to recieve a response. So I'm left wondering how I'm actually supposed to contact someone for setting up appointments.

I was in Charlottesville to pick up my daughter from UVA. Imagine my dismay when my car wouldn't start and I had to have it towed. Roadside assitance recommended your dealership. That was fortunate for my family as the service provided was top notch. My 2011 Ford Edge was serviced after the battery died due to the door sensor. Turn around time was amazingly fast. I had to leave my car in Charlottesville to travel back to the Hampton Roads area where I live. We had body work done to our vehicle after an accident a couple of years ago. The area started to rust and we called Mallory because they guarantee their work. The staff was amazing and told us they would redo the work, no questions asked. I will definitely use Mallory for any further body work and also if I'm ever in the market for a new vehicle.

Had a great experience working with Shannon while deciding which car to buy - he was patient about showing me a variety of cars and allowing me to test drive each one, answering any question I had but never being pushy. He was both honest and approachable. I couldn't devote much time to car shopping, so the process dragged out much longer than usual, but Shannon never once got irritated or made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Highly recommended.

I drove nearly 5 hours from WV to purchase a 2008 Volvo convertible...and I love it! Our salesman, Kevin, was fantastic to deal with...very knowledgeable, friendly, patient. He made the experience of buying a car MUCH easier than I've ever had before. He didn't even flinch when I put the top down and it was only 50 degrees. Considering he didn't have a jacket, I thought that was very polite. :) Take good care of him! I would come back to this dealership (5 hours away) to purchase another car from Kevin if I'm in the market again.

Buddy Daily has been great the whole time and helped me work through the process of ordering my truck. We are in the middle of fixing a huge mistake regarding zplan and xplan pins and I have no doubt he will help me get this straightened out. My wife took car in for oil change. They changed the oil 2 weeks later oil filter came loose. The car was knocking so I changed the oil making sure to tighten the oil filter enough so it wouldn't fall off. We called them it was late so I couldn't take car to them at that time. We called them they said they would call back they never called back. It's my fault should have taken it out there and made them look at it. We called more same results, none. I own 2 businesses in cville too. I wish I could take no responsibility for my products or work. They could have said they were sorry, or met me halfway however they chose to just deny they had anything to do with it. We have bought 5 cars from that building so they will loose money no mater how they handled the situation. They did say they would make there employees call peaple back something I feel they should have been doing all along. We drove to culpeper to buy our last car I hope everybody else drives 200 miles to buy a car rather than walk across the street to Malloy ford.

I brought my 2008 Expedition in for a state inspection and oil change. I bought it 2 years ago from Battlefield Ford in Charlottesville with 50,000 miles on it. It now has 100,000 on it and haven't had any problems with it what so ever. The service advisor Joe suggested I change the plugs and filters and flush the fuel induction system. The spark plugs replacement was a three hour job. I thought that was high so I went online to find out. Not only was the price quote very reasonable, it was less than other prices people were paying for the same service. Plus I got a 10% discount on parts and labor. I absolutely love my Expedition and would recommend Malloy Ford to everyone. The service advisor Josette's customer service is fantastic. Everyone I met was cheerful and upbeat. If you buy a used car from Malloy, no matter what they say or who says it, expect nothing after the sale.Purchased a car from Malloy Ford in Charlottesville on 7/1/14. That night the car wouldnt start, the used car manager came out with the salesman with a jump box and jumped the car off. I was apprehensive but I thought it was just because it had sat and our test drive wasnt long enough to charge it. They told me that if I had a problem Malloy would take care of it. I pointed out that I lived 2 hours away. They said just take it to my local Ford dealer and call them. On the night of 7/2/14 after pressing and holding the eject button, per the manual to get the CD player to work, the car wouldnt start. On the morning of 7/3/14 I jumped the car and took it to my local dealer and called Malloy. Crickets. Called the salesmans cell phone. He called me back and let me know that he wasnt working but that he would call Malloy and have someone call me. Crickets. I called again and the service department answered. I told him my story and was told he could get to me maybe the following week and nothing he could do right then. He took my name and number and said he would pass it along. Crickets. I then sent an email to both the salesman and the used car manager pointing out the battery and that the CD player doesnt function. Crickets. So Malloy Ford is no different than the shadiest used car dealer you can imagine. I did buy a used car, I did sign the as is form, I did not know that the battery was bad nor did I know that the CD player portion of the Navigation system was not only inoperable but would kill the battery in a matter of minutes. My mistake not checking and my mistake for believing a used car dealer would honor their handshake. I used an OBDII scanner to check the system. Should have used a capacitance tester for the battery, didnt have one with me. I also should have had them demonstrate that the CD performed all the functions (everything else worked, it thinks its loaded). I try to learn from my mistakes, and hope that those who read this will also learn from my mistake.What was the fix? This car is for my wife, she is a traveling cardiac nurse. The car has to work, not maybe work, has to work. The battery $120, OE navigation system from EBAY $700, learning about Malloy Ford $ priceless.

Purchase 2005 Mustang from another Ford dealer. Brought it to Malloy Ford to have it inspected. They recommended $1,800 worth of repairs insinuating the vehicle may have a safety issue. Had the repairs performed but when asked later, a Malloy Ford representative denied the original comment. Were the $1,800 in repairs really necessary?

The reason why I have rated this dealership so poorly is because the managers are liars! I came to look at a used ford that I was in love with. They were not willingly to move on the price of the vehicle at all and when they gave me my quote on my trade is was $2500 less than NADA rough trade in which, my car was most definately not rough. They wouldn't work with me on giving me a fair trade in price and Trevor the Manager explained to me that he would be able to only sell my car for 800 more than the trade in quote. I loved the truck and came back and looked at it twice just to make sure and ended up going through with the deal. A few days later I was curious as to what they had listed my car for that I had just traded in. They had listed it for over $5000 more than what he told me he would give me. The sales person that I worked with was fine. The managers are horrible. Don't go to this dealership for a used car. They will trick, lie, and give you a horrible deal for your car. They should be ashamed. How can you run a business that way. I would never send anyone that I knew to this dealership nor anyone that I didn't know. Take it from me and do not go here.

I was looking for a new escape for my growing family, and decided to stop here since I've heard good things from friends. I hate spending all day in a dealership (with the sales staff pushing for the more expensive vehicles), but that's not at all what happened here. They knew what I wanted and Fred Nelson made it happen in a timely manner. I'm more than happy with their customer service and way they operate there. No complaints.

My significant other bought a 2013 focus ST a couple months ago and the sales person (herman) was very knowlegable about the vehicle. They were all very patient with us deciding on vehicles and introduced us to the ST. we went for the mustang but after driving the ST....nothing compared. :) Salesman, sales manager, finance manager, everyone was very friendly and very helpful.I went back last week and purchased a 2013 ST also and I got a good trade in price for my vehicle (which was actually the same price quoted at carmax to sell to them straight out). My car was at a different location and they had it here and ready the SAME DAY i called and told them i wanted that vehicle!!! Ready and willing to go when i got there, paperwork done, car cleaned....everything!!the total experiences were exceptional. They are willing to go that extra mile to make the customer happy and provide remarkable customer service!!!

In September of 2012, my father-in-law purchased a used van from Battlefield Ford in Charlottesville. In February of this year,his wife passed away and he no longer needed the van. He went to the dealership to get an idea of the van's worth so he could sell and/or trade it. Dealership stated than van was worth $3300 even though he had paid $10,000 for it 5 months and 200 miles earlier and the van was in the exact same condition it was when he bought it. When I confronted the general manager, his excuse was that they had too much money in the van which was his rationale for charging $10,000. Bottom line, the dealership saw an 83 year senior citizen living on social security and took him to the cleaners.

I took my vehicle in to Battlefield Ford's auto body for repair work on my 2013 Ford Mustang. I also asked that the service center take a look at a mechanical problem I was having with the passenger seat. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The auto body (and service center) finished the repairs in a shorter time frame than I had originally been given, and the work was excellent. I can't speak to the competitiveness of the pricing b/c all but my deductible was covered by my insurance, but everything else about my experience with Battlefield was great. I would definitely go back, and I would recommend their auto body to others.

I would not recommend this dealership for their customer service. My son came to Charlottesville Virginia to buy a car for me. He lives 100 miles away. Geoffrey was our salesperson. We bought a simple model Fiesta 2013. When Geoffrey was typing up the papers he said, "The only thing extra you are paying for is an automatic." I asked immediately, "Does that include cruse control?" This was an option that meant enough to me to write this review. His reply "Cruse control is pretty much standard on all cars." My mistake was not pinning him to a yes or no answer. I waited two weeks for the car to be delivered. When I went to pick it up, I sat in the new car to see what it looked like. I couldn't find the cruse control. When I went inside the dealership I asked, "Does the car have cruse control?" He didn't answer and went to my SAAB to take off the tags. He couldn't get them off and came in 3 times for different screw drivers. I asked again each time, "Does the car have cruse control?" Finally on the third time he looked inside the car and looked at me from outside the dealership and shook his head no. He never addressed this issue again. When I asked how much does cruse control cost he told me about $400. The same as it would have when I bought the car. I went home and called Paula, their customer representative who didn't call me. I called back 3 days later and got Paula. I told her my story and never heard from her again. Finally I called Ford in Michigan and then a manager called me. He ignored me and then called my son who knew nothing about this. The car was mine and I don't have to check in with my son. The final insult was registering the car in Arlington Virginia with has caused us a new problem with insurance, property taxes, and inspection. My son did call on this and they told him it was not their problem. The sad thing is I would have gone half on the cruse control but nothing was offered.Beware if your choose Battlefield Ford.

I will NEVER patronize the Charlottesville Battlefield Ford Dealer again for work on my Ford F150. I brought it in because my turn signal stopped working and every time I replaced the fuse it would immediately burn out. So they were to check the electrical wiring and call me with an estimate. Instead they kept the truck for three days and kept calling to say the wiriing was a mess and they would let me know. Finally they called me to let me know they had already "fixed it" and it would $438 !I never would have imagined it would be so much and they never even called me with an estimate. I think I was royally ripped off. Never again.

Our 2007 Lnncoln MKX needed a new water pump. (very expensive repair on this car) $1700.00 .I know alot about cars and do most all work myself on our vehicles (they must have not thought of this since my wife took the car in to have it repaired).They called us with the estimate in the afternoon with a long list of parts and repairs (most which was bull crap).Here is a list:power steering fluid needs to be flushed and changed because it is dark looking ($180)wiper blades need to be replaced they are streaking ($?) (I just replaced them with the same ones i use on all are vehicles and they last about 2 to 3 years)Lower transmision mount broken ($360) (I have not checked this out yet, did i mention my wifes brother is a lincoln mechanic at another dealership about 120 miles away from here?)(he just checked the car out in February and did not see this)New accesory belt because it was saturated with coolant. ($49) (ok there are several things that are wrong with this. i had just put this belt on and it had less than 500 revolutions on it when we sent this in, and my wife specifically told them it had just been put on.)there are several more things they tried to charge for that were not a problem or needed to be done. Now it comes the time for us to pick up the car.The dealer ship tells me there is a short and it is blowing the fuse for the pcm.(This will cost $69 diagnostic $89 an hour to find the short.) (I explained to the dealership that the only problem with this vehicle when we brought the car in was it needed a water pump and no fuses were blown or blowing. ) ( I asked how long it would take to find the problem and they did not know so they could have spent how ever much time or wrote up whatever they wanted to for the labor charge, so i gave them 1 hour to find it then i wanted the car back).they did not find the problem so i took the car back. I checked the car out at home and within 10 minutes with just a multimeter and no schematic I found the main conector on the fire wall had a ground pin bent over and shoting out the power control module (this was caused by the mechanic when he replaced the water pump. I took the car back with pictures per the service managers request.The fuse was no longer blowing but now there were real issues. they did finally clear the faults but would not credit any of the money we spent for them to troubleshoot the problems that they installed.When we got the car back the first time the leather seats, steering wheel, interior , hood quater panels, bumber, etc..... were covered in grease (not a great look for a cream colored car). Also i can't prove it was them but a misteriuos dent above rear tire.

Went for an oil change. The service department told me I need brake and suspension work done. Though I'd try another dealer for new brakes. The other dealer told me I didn't need ANY brake or suspension work done. Not happy with Battlefield? You bet. I will never take my vehicle to them for service or buy anything from them. I'll drive to Richmond 1st.

I brought my vehicle to Battlefield to have a puncture fixed. The first time, the patch failed, the second time, a bigger patch was installed. Then the tire went flat once again. On my third visit, I was told, mysteriously, that the pressure sensor valve on the tire was broken and needed to be replaced. After now spending over $300 to fix my tire, I assumed that it would be fixed finally. Well, I was wrong, the next day, I returned to the service department because my Tire Pressure Monitoring System light was on. This meant that my system was not functioning properly anymore. I was told by service that "oops, we didn't recalibrate it properly." Now this morning, the TPMS is on again. I have wasted about 4 hours of my time, dropping off the car and picking it up. I have never experienced anything like this before. NEVER use these people to do anything to your vehicle, they will break it and charge you to fix it over and over again!!

I took my Explorer in because I could not get it started, and I had been throwing parts at it like an idiot to fix it. It finally randomly started up one morning and I was able to get it to Battlefield Ford at around 7:30AM and I thought it would take them until the next day to look at it. Instead at 2:00PM that day I got a call from them and they found my problem, it had a corroded ground strap going to my transmission which was shorting out the whole car and than on top of it they replaced my positive and negative cables to my battery, just to be on the safe side, all for under $90 with the diagnois fee which I knew about. I got it back around 4:00PM that day and has ran ever since. I will take my truck there from now on, I even convinced my dad to bring back his Mustang to have them work on it.I have heard bad things about Battlefield Ford in the past...but they must have done a complete turn around, because they are reasonible and fast.

I had been looking at a Ford F-250 truck on the lot the entire weekend and was truly digging the sales price (a huge neon green tag in the windshield which was visible from inside the dealership offices). I decided I would go take a look after the weekend was over and give it a test ride. Mind you, I was going to be trading in a 2005 Corvette in superb condition, no mechanical problems at all. I drove it and liked it, enough to play the numbers game. My husband came to the dealership to give it his ok. James took his sweet time working with another customer (she bought a car, she deserved the service). However, he should have given me to someone else so as not to waste hours out of my life while he took care of other business. We finally (after 3 hours) sit down to work numbers. The sales price (on that huge neon green tag) was $45,869. I was happy to pay the advertised amount! Nope...the number they gave me was $60,000. WHAT?!?! How can you list a vehicle for a sale price, then turn around say "it's not right...that tag wasn't supposed to be in that truck." Yet, from where we were sitting, I could still clearly see the tag, back in the windshield, that wasn't supposed to be in that truck. It's called "bait and switch", and after I did some checking (even spoke with two former sales people from Battlefield Ford), it turns out this is a classic sales tactic at this dealership. It's also against the law because it's fraud. And on top of it all, they offered me BELOW FAIR BLACK BOOK value on my clean, no mechanical issues Corvette. These guys will do whatever it takes to screw you...and hard. Avoid this place like the plague. If you want to save some money and get a better deal, go anywhere else!!

I had service done here. They did some things that were not necessary and were told not to do (destroying the fittings to my power steering fluid pump and replacing it with a reman.) and their sloppy work cost me additional repairs elsewhere. (Such as draining off coolant and not replacing it so I drove off the lot without sufficient levels.) During follow up visits to address some of the problems they had caused but would not admit to or address, the service manager tried to convince me to get a $4,000. engine overhaul without having performed any tests. This because they had failed to replace a $3.00 grommet under pcv valve during the tune-up portion of this service. Twice they told me that they checked the seating of the valve and if there wass no problem there, I needed a new engine. I question their integrity and their ability. Belatedly, I have learned from several people that they suffered similar (in some cases, the exact same) experiences. Steer clear.

This place is a rip off. I'm currently in Iraq and my mother is taking care of my car. The car broke down. The tow truck driver told her it looked like the timing belt so when she called Bradey Bushy to inquire the price, they told her it couldn't possibly be the timing belt at 66,000 miles. So when they finally looked at it, they ate their words because they said it was the timing belt. Well, another place in Charlottesville had a better deal on fixing timing belts so she towed it there. The other place said, the cam is locked. How could Ford miss this? They misdiagnosed my car and charged $30 to do it. So now my mother is talking to BBF and Ford coperation. They tell us they will offer financial assistance to fix the car because there are so few miles on it. They were going to pay a total of 66% of the repair cost. Now I'm happy and glad I bought a Ford. We take it back to Ford and now they say the whole engine is bad because of sludge due to inconsitant oil changes. We provide PROOF of all my oil changes and they still say "well, we still aren't paying". I take my car to a Ford dealer for all checks and services and they say it's still my fault. If they are such experts on ford vehicles how come they never saw the sludge before the engine went bad? All I know is, I will never use BBF nor will I ever buy another Ford card.

I have dealt with these people for 20 years. Over the years the nicest people in the world have delivered increasingly unreliable -- to the pointof dangerous -- service. It is COMMON to have to go back three of four times for the same problem.<br><br>And recently when you call service you can be put on hold for 10-20 minutes -- and then you get to hear the phone being hung up. this happened to me twice during one service experience.<br><br>I won't be going back and I would caution anyone against trying to work with them. They'll be just as sweet and nice --- but your vehicle won't be fixed.
