Had a great experience buying a used Toyota Prius from Jackie at Maguire. The first car we considered had a strong cigarette odor that we knew we couldnt tolerate. When we asked if they could clean it to remove the odor, they told us the odor would never go away completely. I appreciated their honesty. Then Jackie directed us to another Prius with the same low mileage as the first, one model year older, but $1000 less! (They dont negotiate price, but that was explained at the outset.) We had the car checked out by our mechanic who identified a few problems. Maguire promptly fixed them without quibble. Jackie gracefully guided us through the whole purchasing process, explaining all the paperwork clearly, and handling everything with the DMV. The entire experience was first rate.

I went to Maguire Automotive because I was curious about trading in my Nissan Altima. My friend helped me pick out a VW, and the sales consultant Jasper and the manager Andrew were extremely helpful in the process. The upfront lowest pricing made it easy, and I never felt pressured because they're non-commissioned. I didn't expect to drive home with a new vehicle that day, but the team at Maguire got it done! Because I have had wonderful experiences with the service department, I decided to buy a new Toyota at Maguire. However, when I walked into the showroom it took a while for someone to ask if I was being helped. I said no, not yet. The person said they would send someone right over. I waited and waited and waited. Finally, someone came and asked a man sitting at a desk if he was being helped. He said yes. I was standing a bit away but in plain sight. The salesperson ignored me and walked away. I waited and waited and waited and no one else came so I walked out. They missed out on a sale.

I worked with Meggan Conklin, and my experience was a bit bumpy at first but wonderful in the end! I had no idea what i wanted and wanted to test drive things until something fit me. Megan was wonderful with that, and was a joy to work with. After picking out the perfect car and planning on trading my old one in I had found out some news the previous dealer did not inform me of. So i was unable to trade mine in. After a week or two I had sold my car and was back at the dealership. There was no pushing a sale or making me feel uncomfortable, she checked on me a couple times a week to see if i needed anything and how the process was coming. I had a great experience and would strongly recommend Maguire and Meggan Conklin specifically to anyone looking for a good dealership with great prices!

The salesperson was Beth. She was excellent. For example, when I first spoke for this car and left a deposit and then chickened out (this is a big purchase), I called her and she was fine with it. Later (a few days), after I had decided to go ahead, we started right in,not missing a beat. She was friendly, orderly, helpful and very professional. And she is calm but motivated. Frankly, I really like dealing with a young woman, especially one with a young child because you know she is going to do her best and be at her best. This past Saturday we traveled 2 hours to test drive a 2013 KIA Optima at Maguire KIA. Our daughter was looking to buy her first car and she had her heart set on a KIA. We searched the internet via cars.com and Maguire had the best price for this car (year/mileage) so that's why we made the trip. Mike C. was our salesman and took excellent care of us. Our daughter test drove the car and decided that this was the one. Mike C.explained the Maguire Dealership philosophy and we went in to crunch some numbers. The Maguire finance department made sure that we were getting the best rate and that the payments were affordable for her. Mike C. went above and beyond by staying 1 1/2 hours past closing to make sure that we left with the car and did not have to make the drive back on Monday. The car was detailed and ready to go by the time she signed all the paperwork and set up insurance. We are extremely happy with the service we received and highly recommend this dealership. Earlier this year, I decided that I was going to order my next new car. I met Kyle on that first day that I walked into the showroom looking at similar models. From the start Kyle was attentive and professional. At that first visit, I let Kyle know what type of car I was interested in and the features - which none of the cars on the lot had. Since the 2016 model year was closing down and even though he had a model close to that in the showroom, he suggested that I wait until the 2017 models were available and that we order a new one! That was great advice as I ended up with exactly the vehicle and the features that I wanted. Over the next 2 months, I worked with Kyle asking question after question before finally deciding on the features to order. Throughout the entire process Kyle was always available and always interested in making sure I had all my questions answered! When the new model year was finally able to have orders placed, Kyle sent me a text and we scheduled the time. No delays! When I stopped down to order the car, Kyle introduced me to Ritchie and together we all sat down and put a new car together! Hats off to Ritchie too as he walked me through all of the ordering process flawlessly answering all of my questions. It was the perfect car buying experience! I always felt very comfortable walking in as we progressed through all of details and throughout the entire ordering process. When the day came where the car arrived, Kyle sent me pictures of it almost immediately after it came off the truck! Some of the features that I ordered with the car were not installed at the factor (as explained to me earlier in the process) and required the service department to install them. Kyle handled all that too making sure that everything was being completed the way that I wanted it. When a question did arise, he invited me down to talk with the service person who was going to install the feature just to make certain that it was being installed the way that I had requested. I felt like I was very well taken care of the entire time and have already recommended to everyone I talked to that they should go see Kyle at Maguire Chevrolet!

No-pressure and up-front pricing lease made with Sales Consultant Jackie O'Connor. Highly recommended! I went in looking at two new VW models and one used Toyota, and made it clear that I wasn't taking anything home that day. Jackie test drove with me in whatever I wanted, inquired about getting another requested color from another dealer for the same low price, and never mentioned the usual "what can I do to get you in this car today?" - which is a sales tactic that drives me nuts! She gave me the info I needed and let me come back at my leisure. Refreshing.To ensure a "complete-picture" review: VW should make it clear that care-free maintenance is no longer included in leases, but this is a minor point in the grand scheme. Also, call ahead if you're looking to see a car from the website - this is the second time for me at Maguire that the lowest advertised price on a particular used car was "already sold." Not sure how often the inventory gets updated.Again, overall, very happy with the transaction. Will gladly be doing business at Maguire in the future. Thank you, Jackie!

In Ithaca, I recently had my 2000 Toyota Corolla destroyed by a drunk driver, and had to get a new Toyota Corolla at very short notice. I dreaded this prospect: how much of a chore was it going to be to find a good replacement when I would have to drive all across upstate New York, or at least one and a half hours to Syracuse (one-way)? How much of a hassle would the pricing be? Could I get a recently made but used car that would be really well-maintained? Then I found out about Maguire Toyota.Their well-formatted, efficient and detailed Web pages made it very easy for me to pick out the specific cars they had on their lot that came closest to what I wanted. Because their Web pages also provided VIN numbers, I had no problem independently checking the quality of my possible choices with CarCheck (which let me set aside a few cars with bad histories, but also identified two single-owner cars with excellent maintenance). My wife and I then went down to Maguire Toyota to see if we could make a good purchase that day (I really needed a car back, badly).On a busy Saturday afternoon, Justin Blaasch searched the dealership for people who needed help, found that we needed it, and gave us an efficient, honest, and transparent description of our options. He then helped us find our number 1 choice in the lot, went with us on a test drive, and gave us all the practical information we needed to close the deal on a great car that same evening. By Monday, we had the paperwork completely settled and the car in hand.Haggling? Zero. Discrepancies between the Web inventory and the actual cars? Zero. Goofy mindgames? Zero. Quality of the car stock, and of the specific car I ended up buying? Excellent. Prices? Exceedingly reasonable. Convenience for a car-less person having to get a new car in a small college town 90 minutes from the nearest significant city? Priceless. Attitude? Perfect. If every car salesman acted like Justin Blaasch and the staff at Maguire Toyota, I think the general image of car salesmen would be far brighter than it is.I'd recommend Maguire Toyota or any other Maguire dealership to any friend of mine in upstate New York who needed a car. We are/were in the market for the new Fiat Spider. A super cute fun car. We were able to test drive the car. We told them we were very interested in it and wanted to know what we needed to do to close the deal. Pablo, our sales person said that the dealership was not selling the one in stock as they wanted to have it to show people. He then said he would contact the rep and find out what the lead time on getting one for us would be. We didn't hear back from Pablo for a couple of days. My husband called the dealership back and Pablo was off, so he spoke to someone else who was going to get back to him..... nothing. In the mean time we contacted a dealership in Buffalo that had one in stock and SHOCKINGLY, they are willing to sell it. They gave us information on what the rebates are, what the interest terms are, and asked what else they could do to complete the sale. My husband gave Macguire one more chance to sell us a car and called Pablo. Pablo congratulated him and told him that he hopes that he stops in again sometime. WOW! I then listened to the commercial about if we can't meet the other persons deal, Macguire will give you 5G's and the keys. I am guessing that doesn't count if they just flat out say they won't sell it to you......

Using Cars.com as my primary used car shopping site, I kept seeing models we liked and at a good price at Maguire's. I did contact them when we found several prospects, however not all of them were in Ithaca (some were in Syracuse, and it was difficult to decipher which one of several lots a particular car was at), but enough were there to warrant the 80+ mile trip. When we arrived we sat down to sign in with sales person Shaun who was ready for us with cars we wanted to see already jotted down. We got the 5 minute spiel about the dealership, which was about as painless as could be, then we went out and test drove. There was never any pressure to buy (or buy up) and they offer a few benefits we didn't expect such as 3 day full refund, 30 day exchange and lifetime engine warranty. We left town with a good prospect and communicated back and forth over the next couple days before driving back and purchasing the first one we drove. Shaun made sure we came down with all the docs needed for transferring plates (very important for out of town purchases), and a couple hours later drove it away. We're very satisfied with the vehicle, good value and our sales person and staff at Maguire's. I think they understand that good cars at the right price will pretty much sell themselves, and we appreciated the hands off approach as opposed to some other dealers who hover over you like buzzards. This is the 2nd car I have bought from Maguire. Sales consultant Mike Correll treated me with kindness and respect. He was very knowledgeable of the cars I test drove and he gave me all the time I needed to look them all over without any rush. I had a warranty repair done and the service staff were very courteous and helpful. I was given a loaner car and when I turned it in, I forgot my phone in the loaner. One of the staff noticed and sprinted across the parking lot and must have run with me for a couple minutes at top speed before I noticed. Saved me a lot of time having to come back to retrieve my phone. I appreciated them making the extra effort.

We had a great experience at Maguire dealership, starting from website and up to leaving the place with new car we bought. Website very detailed, a lot of great quality pictures, easy to search and filter criteria, website works fast and good designed with colors and navigation! We liked how car was priced: not overpriced from the start, we checked other dealerships around Buffalo, but we came to Maguire based on the price and car pictures. Charlotte Robbins helped to put the car on hold for us and schedule visit on Saturday (the only day we were able to come over from Buffalo NY). This is was very helpful to be sure the car will wait for us. On Saturday on our way to Ithaca I called again, forgot the person name we need to meet, the receptionist found that person, Jenny Bunn; and Jenny called us back very quickly and confirmed the car availability. It was a good feeling that Maguire dealership was waiting for us. The car was in great condition, clean and filled with gas, we had a test drive and were satisfied with cars run, engine sound, clean inside and out and we started our paper work. Jenny was VERY helpful, explained us very little details and options, she worked with Vincent and they found great rate and the monthly payment we can afford! Couple words about building and offices: very nice, comfy, we came with 2 kids and there was a playroom for them. We were offered coffee, water in the office and McDonalds was next door. The other good thing we did: we brought plates from our old car and insurance info, Jenny took care of plates transfer and insurance. Finally we completed the last sign and drove home in our new VW Passat! The highway test was the last one and car easily made it! I brought my 2012 Toyota Tacoma to Maguire for service. When I arrived I explained that the engine light was on. The service desk informed me that the light was no longer on but that they will perform a diagnostic to determine the reason. They didn't explain that there was a fee to diagnosis the problem that appeared to have resolved itself when I arrived. When they called me to the front desk they informed me that it was a vacume issue & that they cleaned the gas cap & area where the gas nosil goes. When I called them to ask why I was being charged for this they explained that that they discounted the diagnostic fee from $90.00 to $ 45.00. I wish they would have told me that they were going to charge me for this.

I had been wanting to purchase another VW and had been shopping around. While there we spotted this VW Jetta and got a great deal. It was a beautiful car, everything I wanted and the price was right. Jackie was super and in a few hours we left with our car. All the staff greeted us friendly and the facility was magnificent, it was clean and comfortable. The only thing is that their used cars do not come with mats. But we love the car and the service we received and would recommend MaGuire to you. I wish we bought our first VW from them. We ended up there because of a warranty issue with another VW we bought from our local dealer. Make sure if you purchase a vehicle that it comes with everything BEFORE you sign the contract. My vehicle was missing one key and the two key fobs. It took two trips to get the spare key (one to pick up the key, but it wasn't programmed), and then a second trip to get the key programmed. I'm still waiting to hear from Mr. Maguire to see if they'll cough up the two key fobs. What a run around. Once you sign, they're difficult to deal with. It's almost like dealing with a third rate used car dealer. And during the buying process, it took TWO DAYS to get them to quote me the lowest rate (and i had to prod them). At other dealerships, I've been in and out in TWO HOURS. And this has happened twice at Maguire's, once in 2008, and now again in 2016. It's almost like they did not want to sell me a car! Then they tout their facilities, but to be honest, they're just the same as other dealerships.

I went to Maguire to test drive the VW Tiguan and the Passat Sedan's. I set up an appointment with one of their sales associate before going to the dealer. I had been shopping around for a slightly used car for about 1 month, looking at cars that showed up on cargurus and other websites and drove to Rochester to test drive. Then I decided to look more locally. I was very surprised to see that the Maguire dealer had better prices then what I could find online and I only had to drive a few miles. My sales associate was Colby and he was awesome to work with. He was full of good advice, easy to talk with and very patient with all of my questions. I test drove a few used cars and a few new cars and decided to go with a used Passat sedan. Colby was very professional and handled everything for me after I decided to buy a car, so that when I returned to pick up and purchase the car, everything was already set up for me. He went through all the paper work clearly and also showed me all of the functions of the Passat, such as the stereo setup etc. He even set up the 60 free day Volkswagen Car-Net system. I also learned that the Maguire dealer has a great deal, when buying a car, if you are not satisfied with the car there is a 30 day exchange policy. This was comforting to know, since I was buying a slightly used car, it gave me peace of mind. The car that I purchased had a few minor cosmetic issues and Colby pointed all of these out to me (miner staining on the headliner and a very small dent on the ceiling, but they take all of these issues into the pricing of the car, which resulted in me getting a ripping great deal). Also, Colby showed me the car fax on the car with its history etc. I felt no pressure to buy this car from Colby, the test driving was a good experience because Colby really knows is VWs. The entire experience was great. I highly recommend that you shop locally if you live in the area or check this dealer out if you are not in Ithaca, they have some great deals.

He did not try to talk me into something else. He explained the 3 day money back guarantee, which is if I was not satifisfied after 3 days or 300 miles, I could return the car. Was not excited to be going to dealership and giving up great leasing experience with Toyota and dealing with paperwork, negotiations and banking interest, etc. My intentions were to go to Maguire confirm my buy-out price fill out whatever paperwork and be off. I was a little surprise with Kyle (Toyota Manager) and Miles when they returned with a whole new buy out package that included a very decent extended warranty, but was not immediately sold. Kyle and Miles agreed to allow for a 24hr review and thought of the offer, after other research decided not to go with the extended warranty. Called Kyle the next day requested some additional information and decided to go with my original plan finance the remainder of my lease. Upon my decision and return to Maguire Toyota, Miles was great to deal with. For only being 20 years old, he was mature beyond his years, and is an asset to the Maguire dealership. I would definitely recommend Miles and the dealership to both family and friends. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Buying a 2010 Toyota Prius from Maguire was the first time I've ever been car shopping at a dealership. The process was efficient and enjoyable. Krystie L. took the lead on the sale. She fielded my phone calls about the inventory, and then greeted me by name when I showed up the next day. She was professional about getting back to me on everything in a timely fashion, and went above and beyond in making sure I was well educated about the various benefits that come with purchasing a Maguire vehicle. She was very friendly, and was able to accommodate my erratic schedule ( I work overnights.) The entire interaction was comfortable and stress-free. The rest of the team was helpful too. This includes Thomas and several other people whose names elude me at present. Someone was always there to welcome me within minutes of walking into the building. The staff seemed to operate very well as a unit, without any of the intra-office drama that happens in other businesses. The building itself is aesthetically appealing. The cleanliness, large open spaces, and windows greatly contributed to the stress-free experience I had. The on-site financing was convenient. The ability to check with my bank for a better financing deal after the sale was nice too. Every point of the sale was discussed separately, which was important to me. The only "negative" was the offer on my rust-covered trade-in. Horseheads Pick-A-Part, a local junk yard, beat Maguire's offer. The staff at Maguire's was helpful here too, and offered to coordinate a ride to the dealership. Overall, everything exceeded expectations. I drove away feeling like I got the better side of the deal.

We were skeptical of Maguire's ad in the newspaper so I called the dealership and spoke with Miles. The deal seemed to good to be true and a local dealership told us they did not believe it. I indicated I did not want to drive 60 miles to waste his or our time. He promised me that it would not be a waste of time. As soon as we entered the dealership, we were treated like family. It was getting to be time for a new/new used car as my Honda was paid off and had high mileage (it was a matter of time before an expensive repair would hit me) but the timing didn't seem right. I am in the process of planning a wedding & honeymoon which has been very stressful & time consuming. Car buying would just add to the stress (or so I thought but was proven wrong by the helpful staff at Maguire) In the fall I started researching cars for fun & decided in the late fall the following year I would be good & ready to buy. I thought I currently wouldn't be ready to go through all the hoops of financing & extensive paperwork. During my research I was expecting to get another Honda or Nissan but came upon my dream car. My dream car has always been an Audi because my first car was a very old 1988 model 90 that I loved. The Audi was priced fairly and rated online as a good deal for a luxury car. However I assumed given my circumstance it was still out of my reach financially. A month later I was in Ithaca with my maid of honor & I had her stop by Maguire so I could see my dream car in person. Jeran promptly greeted me and showed me the car. I was in a rush but he quickly got an estimate about financing to add to my car research. At the time I was still not planning to buy but hopeful they may have similar car available when the time came. Jeran was laid back & aside from getting me the financing information, he sent me a simple e-mail with a link to the car so I could learn about it features & his contact information. He was not pushy. The low pressure made it easy for me to chew on the idea of my dream car. After talking things over with my fiance & looking into my finances, I found that my dream car was really attainable. I e-mailed Jeran over the past few days with questions & he promptly answered all of my questions with extensive car knowledge as well as professionalism. His communication skills made it easy to get the information I needed to go through the buying process quickly & seamlessly. He was able to explain all the different options & things that Maguire offered such as helping with competitive financing, car insurance, warranties, & the services they offered to care for my car. My fiance was very impressed with what they had to offer because he too has an Audi. One of my biggest concerns of owning an Audi was paying for maintenance. Jeran went over an Audi Care Plan which enabled me to pay ahead for the next 4 services and saved me a great deal of money as well as peace of mind. Another benefit of Maguire was the car was a certified pre own. This met my car had a factory warranty that covered costly things such as if my engine broke. The certified pre own warranty actually covers my car longer than if I had bought a brand new Nissan. My car will be covered for just short of 5 years (The time it was financed for). I am a very OCD person and can be very anxious about anticipating problems and expenses & Jeran eased any insecurities I had. The buying process with Jeran and people at Magire when above and beyond my very high OCD expectations. Jeran took the time to build a repport which is very important. He introduced me to the service department & other people that I would be working with during my ownership of my dream car. He even helped me set up my first service appointment. He was very knowledge about cars and gave unbiased information based on my needs in a car about the benefits and possible restrictions of the car. He was upfront and honest about the deanships policies and didn't play games. He was very willing to work with me despite my apprehensions. He put the work in so that this deal could happen without being stressful or time consuming . It was easy for me to make the decision to go with Maguire & I will continue to do business with them. Their competitor is closer to my home. They were high pressure, lied about their policies, & clearly didn't want to put the work in. They loss my business.

I bought a car from Maguire and overall the experience was very good. Their salespeople are knowledgeable and not overbearing. They will let you test drive as many cars as you are interested in. I dealt with Andrew Miller, who is a very nice person and definitely knows his cars. He will tell you what you need to know about any cars you are interested to help you decide what is best for you. I should also mention that I decided I did not like the car I bought initially after about a week of driving it, and Andrew had no issues swapping it out for a different vehicle as I was still within 30 days and/or 1000 miles swap out period for used vehicles. Did our purchase of a used Kia Rio with Victor Cruz in the beginning of this December.. It has been a very pleasant experience. Clear, concise with little frills. Victor is a very pleasant easy going person who is skilled in customer service. He made sure everything was understood and decisions were made with clarity. When it came to the frills, he was not pushy as some can be, but rather informative with his knowledge and courteous with his suggestions. His demeanor was friendly and patient. The car had some minor issues to be corrected after our personal mechanic inspected it, all was done with no reservation and have no recurrence since then. Car is a great car, our experience was excellent. Maguire has grown so extensively that one no longer has to drive far anymore to get a vehicle at a decent price. Used Colby Newland who was very helpful assisting us in finding the right car. He accompanied us on a thorough test drive. Valued my trade fairly and helped find a better finance rate than my bank. Sale process much easier then most dealers. That's where the good ends. After the sale I called him twice to follow up on some extras...no return call. I then called his manager who apologized, and twice promised me an immediate call back...no return call. At this point I began contacting them with email which seems to get results. This dealer prices their cars very aggressively, have a massive new facility and a smooth sale process. You will need to work hard after the sale though to get anything done.

I was looking for a Subaru Outback and needed it pretty quickly. Researched a lot online and Maguire had one that I liked but it was in Ithaca. I called local dealers who had the same car, mileage, etc and they wouldn't budge on price, which was 3,000 more than Maguire. Loved my first contact with Beth at Maguire 800 number, and she stayed with me in the process. Turned out they opened a dealership in Syracuse and brought the car here. However, when I went in initially, the salesperson assigned to me was pretty clueless about the car and gave me the wrong price, plus did not know what options the car had. I relied on that price and decided to make the deal, and then got a call from the manager that this guy had made a mistake. I was annoyed, but the manager was very good - got me the car history, we talked about the mistake, and I was ok with that - got a great car, price was lower than dealers in Syracuse for the same car, and service was quick. If I had needed a ride to go get the car, they would have done so. I will go to them for another car, but would recommend anyone buying to not rely on the salesperson - do your homework.

This is our 4th vehicle we have bought at Maquire Volkeswagen. As ususal, their price and service could not be beat. I went to the dealership to look at another used Jetta. I was curious about the Tiguan but was very nervous to drive it. I was used to small manual transmission front wheel drive cars. I also have anxiety when driving in winter weather conditions and would not typically consider getting a new car right before winter. I was very impressed with my sales associate Colby Newlen who spent alot of time addressing all of my concerns and fears and put me right at ease in the vehicles. I ended up leasing a 2016 Tiguan SE AWD and love it. I have never felt more safe in a car. First of all don't buy into the whole "Maguire family" propaganda. It's a dealership like any other dealership. They are their to take your money and move on to next deal. First of all they pride themselves on not using "Sales People", but they have people whose job it is to sell you a car and then based on volume of sale are compinsated with cash bonuses. This sounds like a sales person to me, but what do I know. I ended up buying a vehicle and the sales person could not have been more helpful leading up to the sale, but after I handed over my money it was different story. The sale person agreed to take care of a few things for me, but didnt. When I contacted him initially he took days to respond and when he did he had ridiculous excuses. Then I would wait another week or 2 and again I would not get a response for days and again I would get some ridiculous excuse and my issue was not addressed. Finally after a few more weeks I contacted him again and not to my surprise never received a response. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. WILL NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND WILL ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME. GREAT PEOPLE TO WORK WITH UNTIL THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY.

Prior to coming in to Maguire I did some research on their website and found a car I loved. I went to the Chrysler dealership and asked about the Ford. Of course, the car was not there, but Nate H. was great. He called the Ford Maguire site, located the car and asked them to hold it while I drove over. While he could have just told another associate to assist me when I got there, he drove over with me and proceeded to show the car to me. Even during the test drive he was personable, funny and not at all pushy. At no point did he pressure me into considering another car, he only spoke to the car I came in to see and began to work diligently to get me the car. He worked with my budget and was able to get me a good deal with a ton of warranty. Seeing that the paperwork process was long, he offered me a lunch coupon and said he'd call me when I was needed to sign. Once all was signed, seeing that I now had two cars and one driver, he arranged to drop the car off for me. Overall, it was a great experience, far better than my first car buying experience (that included a ton of tears). I know that I got a really good deal and loving ziping around in my new wheels! I will definitely be recommending Maguire to my co-workers.

We went to Maguire Toyota, Scion and Kia and were met by a very helpful non-commission sales consultant named Tina Tinker. She listened to what we were looking for and made the suggestion that we also try the Kia Sportage. We were reluctant but after test driving and reviewing the car we thought we wanted and the Kia Sportage, we were hooked on the Sportage. Really pleased with my experience purchasing a lightly used Honda Civic Lx. Our salesperson was Tina Tinker. She was very outgoing, relaxed and patient. (Ask for her - especially if you're looking for Toyota, Kia or Scion - her areas of expertise.) All the Maguire sales consultants are non commission and their used cars are all priced fairly so there is no pressure, negotiating or up selling. It was very low stress. I really got to take the time to think about and test drive different vehicles until I found the one that suited me best. Maguire Dealerships offer two things that other do not: A 30 day/1000 mile used vehicle exchange policy (I can bring the used car back and choose another used car of the same value if it's not the car for me) and a 3 day/300 mile refinance guarantee. Really impressed with the customer service I received at Maguire and from our salesperson, Tina.

I am a neurotic engineer with control issues, so buying a used car is very stressful for me. Last week a friend recommended Maguire Automotive because of their no pressure guaranteed lowest price sale environment. Last Saturday afternoon my family and I went to look at a few different 2011-2012 SUVs. Miles Milton introduced us to the Maguire philosophy (which was refreshing) and helped us select our Toyota Highlander (which is awesome) from a variety of SUVs we test drove. The difference between Miles and Maguire is all the small things they did that eased my nerves. First I did not think we would have enough time because we got there late on Saturday but Miles told me not to rush but to take my time and he would stay as late as needed. My children of course didnt like the sound of that but Miles (who they love) came to the rescue with ice cream and movies. This allowed me the time I needed to go through the comparisons with my wife and Miles help. After that he got my wife and I a drink and went to work on papers and DMV stuff all while nabbing me a great rate for our insurance. By the end of the day I felt like an old family friend had found my family the perfect car, which he cleaned and gassed upped for us before we headed home with a rose for both my wife and daughter (again this was late Saturday and there was never a rushed feeling). As I said I am neurotic and when I woke up the next day I was worried if my new family friend, Miles and the Maguire philosophy was a ploy. Thats when Miles called me to ask me how my family enjoyed the new car and how it rode on the way home. Since than Miles has been able to answer all my neurotic questions and its because of that that I know we made the right choice with going to Maguire and more so I that I have Miles Milton in my corner so that I never have to worry about buying a car again.

After a not so good experience with an out of state dealership, I decided to try and stay more local. The Maguire dealership was very easy going. There was no pressure from the the salesmen. After a quick chat about what I was looking for the salesmen, Colby was very helpful. He found me several Jettas that fit my price range and what I wanted. He also showed me every feature that the Jetta had to offer, which other dealers ( drivers village and sun auto) did not. As this was my first car purchase, Colby made sure I felt comfortable and made my time there very enjoyable. He is a great salesmen and would recommend you visit him if you're looking for a new vehicle. The whole process was quick and I'm happy with my purchase from Maguire Volkswagen.

After briefly trying to convince me to settle for one they had that didn't have the second row captain's chairs, she said no problem, they could dealer trade for one that had the captains chairs. Perfect. We asked for information comparing financing (buying) vs. leasing. She said that she couldn't give me that information unless she had a particular vehicle to run the numbers on, even though we could give her our exact FICO credit score and knew about how much we were going to pay for the Highlander. She put us off saying that first she would need to see if she could get us the vehicle we wanted so she was going to look for it and give us a call back. Almost two weeks after we spoke with Jackie (and not ever getting a single call back from her), we searched online and found EXACTLY what we wanted OURSELVES and drive 190 miles away to purchase it. If you can't even bother to call back to sell a car, how would we be treated after the sale? No thanks, we took our business elsewhere!

It ended up that we spent half our day at the dealer and it was actually pretty fun. Ryan is VERY knowledgeable about his product, honest, personable, and a little bit hilarious. There was no pressure and it felt like home, they put up with me making 10,000 decisions to get my payments where I wanted and never acted annoyed or as if it was an imposition. It was definitely not just a sale, it was a car buying experience and an excellent one at that. I ended up test driving the car I saw online and came to see and loved it. Ryan and the team were so great I was able to do everything there at the dealer in order to take it home the same day! On a Saturday no less. I shopped around online quite a bit and Maguire had the best price on their product by a fair margin across Western and Central NY and the Southern Tier. Everyone that we encountered was very friendly and made you feel at home! I DESPISE buying a vehicle. Because of that, I do extensive homework on the car I want before I go shopping. I check a 150 mile radius from my home. My search covered Albany to Rochester and down to Binghamton and Ithaca. I looked at dozens of choices. Maguire had one of the better inventories and their prices were considerably lower than comparable cars at other dealers. Still, you can't trust car dealers, right? So I made Ithaca my first stop (approx 75 miles) in my search. I was impressed by their facilities, their inventory, and the overall quality of the cars. I had printed out the highlights of the vehicles that I was interested in and began to look them over. It was a busy Saturday and the sales team had many customers. So I had a bit of free time to look over the vehicles before a salesperson found me (which I prefer). Joseph Bazaldua introduced himself and was pleasant and extremely helpful without being pushy. A trait I appreciate. He answered my questions, offered to show me all the Jettas, and explained some of their features. Being new to Maguire, I asked him how firm the prices were. He explained their policy of pricing vehicles as low as possible so as to make haggling unnecessary. Based on the sticker prices of these cars and others I had viewed online, it is a sound policy. OTHER CAR DEALERS! ARE YOU LISTENING? To make this long story short, I bought my car that day. Joseph worked to get me a low APR on financing (beating my local bank by almost an entire percent). He arranged the financing, my insurance, and all the DMV hoops we have to jump through. This was the most painless vehicle I have ever purchased in 35 years. I think their price is virtually unbeatable, their customer service is first-rate, and their inventory first-class. I recommend that anyone looking for a new or used vehicle do themselves a favor and check Maguire first, either online or in person. If you do, you will begin to understand why they are a success. And I thank them for it.

Our search for a new vehicle ended the minute we walked into Maguire. The saleswoman we spoke to on the phone, Jackie o'conner, was phenomenal. She had the Rav4 all ready for us to test drive and was very knowledgeable of the entire buying process. Vinny, the finance guy, was extremely easy to work with. Tina approached us immediately, quickly ascertained our needs and helped us hone in on our options (we were looking specifically for a Sienna, just a newer version of our current vehicle and there werent a lot of used options). She was friendly and professional and even though only in her third week, was knowledgeable about all the cars we looked at and their respective features. She was persistent in finding keys, quick to spot candidates on the lots we visited, and had a good memory for which features which model had. She was also helpful on the test drive pointing out different features we should test and where route conditions were appropriate for it (for example upcoming straight-aways or downhills to test braking). If she did not know the answer to a question, she was straightforward about it but made sure she got us an answer. The Maguire system is great because it is a one stop shop but it doesnt lend itself to quick processing once you have made a decision. We returned the next day to test drive our car and complete our purchase and Tina did a terrific job to keep all the pieces moving so our purchase could be completed as promptly as possible. We hope Maguire will continue to innovate and look for ways to make the process even quicker but overall we had a good experience. Finally, it would be great to have a cafe or a caterer or food truck offering onsite - something to eat for longer waits...

Jackie O. first met us at the door and made sure we were comfortable before showing us around. She even allowed us to let our puppy in the showroom. We had our sights set on a particular car but Jackie steered us toward a better car. We took it for a test drive and came back to the office after closing hours. I recently bought a 2005 Audi TT and figured it best to take it to Maguire as they sell and service Audi automobiles for it 100,000 mile servicing. Since I live about an hour away, I called to schedule an appointment and they recommended I use their Express Service. Oddly enough, once I got there, I learned the express service is normally instructed not to service Audi vehicles but in this case, they where given approval to service mine. They were very nice and I was pleased. Then two days later, my son told me he was hearing a shh noise like a brake or something lightly rubbing. So I took it for a drive and it was silent. I looked around the wheel wells and shook the tires and all appeared fine. I asked that he tell me if he heard it again and if it got any louder. Two days later he said it was getting louder so I set out for a short drive, at first I heard nothing so I hit the highway. Now traveling much faster, it began to sound like a CV shaft was going bad, then it got much worse like it was shot. It quickly got so bad I had no choice but to pull over along the highway. There on the side of the road, I discovered the drivers wheel had been left lose when the tires were rotated. I was very surprised and disappointed, anyone can leave a tire lose, but you don't expect it from the dealer. Anyone else have this or similar issue with Maguire? Note: My vote is still out as to a recommendation for the dealer or not, but the system forces you to choose so I have to say Nay.

Just wanted to write and say thank you to the Maguire dealership in general, our salesman Matt and his Manager Vince for an awesome buying experience! When we arrived for a test drive, it was late in the evening (just before closing) and super busy in the store, so many of the sales people were already occupied. Matt saw us, took the time to meet, and explained Maguire's policies/services. I've lived in the Ithaca area most of my life, but I didn't know some of the great things Maguire does for customers and the community as a whole! Matt helped us search out and locate a few specific cars we'd seen online, even though they weren't part of his typical brand there at Maguire, and after we landed on one vehicle in particular, his Manager Vince was very courteous and helpful in having a few minor issues with the car addressed prior to finalizing the sale. I found Michele Hecht at Maguire welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the Toyota Sienna I was purchasing back in July. The day after I brought the car home I noticed scratches in the side view mirror. Michele was very helpful in making the arrangement to get the mirror replaced. After I had made an appointment to have the mirror replaced, Michele discovered that the wrong mirror had been shipped the morning of the appointment. She knew I had a 50 mile drive and had made arrangement to meet friends in the area that day while the car was being fixed. Michele went the extra mile by calling me in advance and offering me a loaner car to drive back home, while I left the car overnight to be fixed. In addition, she had a driver bring my van home the next day, so I didn't have to make the 50 mile trip. That in my mind is customer service!

Salesman Kyle Kidney is superb!!. I came into the jeep showroom last Tuesday. I am 25 and a first time new car buyer. I had been driving a 2004 Honda Accord for eleven years and had just sold it and was almost 100% sure that I wanted another Honda Accord. However, I had read about the Subaru Imprezas and wanted to check this car out. My husband and I casually stopped by Maguires on a Friday close to closing and was help by a sales representative named Frank Khan. We explained what we wanted and he showed us the Impreza, but it wasn't a comfortable car for my late middle aged self. There was also a nice looking Forester right there and I asked Frank about this car. He went all around the car showing us all the features and then we test drove it. It was a great handling car with fantastic visibility! Frank was patient answering all of our many questions about the car and incredibly knowable not only about the Forester, but all the other cars at the dealership. We decided to go home and read more about the Forester. Saturday we went back and worked with Frank to buy the car. Maguire is set up so you don't haggle with the price- and the prices of their cars seem fair. And, it was such a pleasure to work with Frank, that my husband and I have decided we will only buy cars from him from now on.

I was shopping for a vehicle with my 15month old son. Witch, as you can imagine, was quite a task. I came very early and the first person I saw was Ally. I was so relived to have come in contact with a women. Not downing men or any thing but with a baby in my presents a woman is more ideal. Then after a couple of minutes chatting with her I learned she was a young mother as well :) Then I felt even more relief. Dealing with children my sons age can be kind of frustrating for people but not for Ally . She has a 2 year old son so we were on the same page. Last weekend I was in Elkhart, IN when a micro-burst/tornado ravaged a very small portion of the apartment complex I was in. The storm lasted about 10 minutes, but when done, my car was sitting under 2 trees and damaged the entire back section of my 2012 Passat. After 3 hours, a cleanup crew came by and relieved my car of the hurtful foliage and I packed my things and came home to New York. I drove my vehicle to the Maguire VW/Volvo/Audi repair shop. I dropped off my car waiting for the insurance adjuster to evaluate my vehicle. He finally came on Wednesday, totaled my car, and I began looking at a new Passat. I was greeted by Colby, who is immediately very approachable, and he and I struck up a conversation and he hooked me up with a replacement vehicle. We did the paperwork and I went home for the afternoon. I came back later that night, picked up the car and drove home. Boy was I happy! So after parking my new car in my driveway, I proceeded to do a "walk-around" the vehicle. When I got to the front of my new car, I saw what looked like 2 screw head size indentations on my new car's bumper. They were not there when we first looked at the car but didn't really look very closely when I picked it up. Next morning, I went back to the dealership and showed this damage to the sales manager who immediately saw that the damage was caused by another vehicle that had a Maguire license plate holder which must have been driven into my parked car sometime during the time I was at home before picking up the car. The sales manager was very professional and understanding when I told him that I was leaving town that morning....I had all my things packed in the new damaged Passat....and asked if they could possibly swap out the damaged vehicle with one that wasn't. He told me he'd run the numbers on another car I picked out to replace it....and came back to me with "Sure, ,we can do that!"... So, three hours later (Mostly prep time as the vehicle had never been driven and it was covered with shipping plastic) they sent me off on my way in a another brand new car. The best part of this experience was my salesperson: Colby. I called him the night before and told him my problem and he asked me to bring the car in. To my surprise, the next day was Colby's day off.....which he decided that helping me was more important that sitting on the roof of his garage sunbathing. (Just kidding about the sunbathing). Colby came to the dealership in his "time-off clothes" and helped me transfer the paperwork and made everything OK. Thank you Colby for being the kind of person anyone would be thrilled to work with! I have been in the Maguire Family of Dealerships for 3 years now. No one can top their low-pressure sales folks, great financing deals and smooth purchasing details. The inventory is very complete and gives you a great selection of vehicles for whatever brand/model they carry. They are "TOPs".

I drove to this dealer after seeing an offer on a Toyota Prius Persona edition 2015 listed for $4000 less than the two competitors closer to where I live. After the local dealer did not follow up with me regarding an offer, I decided to take the hour drive to Maguires. I had no intention of making a purchase that day, was just doing my bargain hunting. When we arrived, we were greeted right away and asked what we were interested in. They immediately pulled the car I was interested in and offered for us to take a test drive. Sayre was the sales girl helping us. She was polite, helpful and informative with absolutely no pressure. My boyfriend and I came into Maguire because we got screwed over on a 2010 Ford explorer we bought from an acquaintance. The transmission in it went bad after 50 miles and rebuilding the transmission would cost us more than the truck is worth. We walked into Maguire feeling down on our luck but as soon as we walked into the door Ryan Salino changed that. He was was extremely friendly and helpful. He went over the Maguire family commitment with us which made us feel like this place would actually take care of us and cared about our satisfaction. The best part of the commitment for us is the fact that there is a warranty on all the cars as well as a 3 day money back guarantee if we decided the vehicle wasn't for us. Ryan chose the vehicle that fit our needs as well as our budget, and he allowed us to test drive it which was really fun. We ended up choosing a white Volkswagen Jetta 2014 which was a mega deal, has plenty of trunk space as well as leg room for us (we're a tall couple), great gas mileage, and is super fun to drive. We went into Maguire considering purchasing a new Prius primarily because the excellent gas mileage and the current sales rebates. Our salesman, Jason Tubbs, introduced himself and the Maguire pricing and sales policies - the price on the window is THE price - no haggling. Jason showed us and test drove with us the Prius. He was very familiar with the function and characteristics of the car. While chatting with Jason we told him we were replacing a 1986 325es BMW, but not trading it in. He then showed us a preowned VW Golf TDI diesel with manual transmission. He thought we might be interested in the VW because it handled more like the BMW. Though the VW does not get quite as good gas mileage as the Prius, we calculated we could drive the VW 150K miles before the savings in diesel fuel would match the sale price difference. We went with the VW Golf. I was impressed by Jason's knowledge, features and technical, of the various cars he showed us. There was not hard sell. I felt we could have walked away at any time and not felt pressured. Jason was casual and interesting just to talk with. That is why I gave Jason five stars * * * * *.

I had a great buying experience with Ryan Salino. I started looking for a new car about two months ago and narrowed it down to a RAV 4 or a Ford Escape. I figured I'd buy a new car by summer's end. Then, last week, my wife's transmission on her Corolla started making noise so we came down Wed night to look at the RAV 4's. Ryan was our salesperson who greeted us and described all of the luxuries of a RAV 4 to my wife and I. He was very knowledgeable with all of its features and the features of the other RAV 4's. It was great to learn from Ryan that we didn't have to buy a RAV 4 LIMITED to get heated seats for my wife's XLE, which J&R will install for her. So, while Ryan was helping my wife with her purchase, I was also able to learn for myself information about the Red RAV 4 on your lot. Today, I learned from Ryan about the New Engine Replacement that my RAV 4 comes with. It's nice to know that if my engine fails catastrophically, that Toyota will replace it, minus the deductible. I look forward to getting many miles of use out of my RAV 4 and know, that if I ever have a question, Ryan will be here to answer my questions. Ryan Salino is, without hesitation, an exceptionally educated salesperson and asset to Maguire Toyota. When your salesperson can go from discussing the details on a RAV 4 to the details within the compartments of a jet engine (IN DETAIL), you've got a keeper. It is nice to know that Ryan has been here long enough to remember other salespeople I've purchased from. I end this review with five stars and nothing less. Thank you Ryan Salino and Maguire Toyota. My story starts with going to 3 different car dealerships. The first two dealerships were the same old song and dance. The salesmen where the typical used car personas looking to get as much money out of you by telling you anything and everything under the sun except the truth. At my ropes end with the shady salesmen, i decided lets try one more dealership that I had heard good things about. I called and spoke with Kewwie Wongo at Maguire Kia and right off the bat I could just tell she was not going to be a typical car sales person. She was up beat, easy to talk to and if she didn't know the answer to one of my many questions, she took the time to find out the correct answer instead of a made up one. I went to Maguire the next day to sit down and talk turkey. My first impression of the dealership was great. People here are extremely friendly and almost give you that feeling of a small town "everybody knows your name" dealership. Kellie "Kewwie" has a very easygoing personality and I believe that has a lot to do with Magurie dealerships having Non-Commission Sales Consultants. Maguire Kia was also the lowest prices in the area and I didn't even have to haggle a good deal because it was already there. They gave me the most honest trade in on my old Jeep and I will be back in February for sure with my wife's car. Our salesman, Jason Tubbs was top notch. We have purchase several cars from Maguire over the past 10 years. This was by far our best experience with the company. Jason did not try to sell us a car, he allowed us to purchase a car. The difference- no pushy sale pitches, no pressure, no in your face approaches in the parking lot like other dealerships we visited. Haven't always had good experiences at Maguire, despite benefits like the 3 day 300 mile return policy. We'd bought a Toyota and an Audi there in the past, and, most recently, leased an Audi. So when the lease came up we went to get another one cuz we loved the A6. Luckily we ran into a salesman named Colby aka Banana Hands. First nice-guy car salesman we've met. Good communicator, knowledgeable about cars, friendly and service-oriented. Hope Maguire can hang on to him. Ask him to sing you an Usher song while you do the test drive.

Let me start off by saying that car shopping is an extremely painful process. I was searching for my first car and I went everywhere and was greeted by sleazy salesmen and overpriced vehicles. I did some searching on this website and found Maguire's Automotive and I am so glad I did! When I called them I spoke with Colby who I ended up meeting with at the dealership and purchasing a car from. Colby was extremely friendly and funny. The first person to approach us when we were browsing the lot while we had our Jettawagen in for routine service was Jackie. She was friendly and helpful without pressuring us to buy. When we later decided that we were in fact interested in one of the VW Tiguans, Jackie was busy with another customer, but made sure that someone else took care of us. Jasper Adams then spent the rest of the afternoon patiently allowing us to test drive and discuss the car, never trying to steer us in a more expensive direction. I bought a Used VW Jetta recently from Maguire VW, and the entire buying process could not have been easier. I came in for a test drive on a Monday and the entire process of seeing their inventory and taking cars out was extremely easy. After I was done, there were still cars at other dealerships that I wanted to test drive, and my salesman Jasper Adams was very receptive to me taking other cars out. He was extremely friendly, and encouraged me to find the best car for me. After a little deliberation, we decided to buy one of the Jettas that I had test driven at Maguire and the buying process was extremely easy. Had a great experience shopping at Maguire Toyota. Ryan Salino, the gentleman that greeted me, was very helpful and willing to take the time to explain the dealership policies and the great level of care that they take to ensure clients are satisfied with their purchase (3 days return policy, financing selection and 3-day possible change, not working for commission, lowest advertized price possible (no haggling), etc.). I initially went to the dealership simply to have a look at a used Prius V Two that was advertized on their website, but after discussing with Ryan and seeing the great incentives that Maguire was offering on a specific new Prius V Two, I took the latter for a test drive in the surrounding countryside and loved it. Jason Tubbs is the best! If you're looking for a new or used vehicle, I would recommend without reservation, a visit to Maguire in Ithaca, NY. I finally purchased a 2012 FJ Cruiser as I am a Toyota-owner through and through, having owned two Tacomas over the past 23 years for use in my business. Kellie Rongo was above and beyond in the area of customer service. I recently have been recuperating from injuries sustained in a car accident. When I entered the dealership, I explained to her that I wanted to deal with someone who was a middle aged female with children and without a thought she indicated that she would attempt to help find me someone to help me. Most people would have "jumped on the sale" but she was agreeable to looking for someone. We did start talking and it didn't take me long to see that she was the person to work with. Kellie's nice mixture of pleasant and open personality, good humor, knowledge and client centeredness was a true joy to work with. I hate to admit that "I don't typically like car salespeople" as "they tend to be pushy, and use your name every five words". Kelly truly acted as if she was interested in helping me find the right car, and didn't seem interested in "pushing me" to buy anything and I think would truly have understood and said "thank you" if I didn't buy anything. In my line of work we talk a great deal of customer service and what "is and isn't good customer service". I have to say that I am impressed with for such a "youngster" (and I can say that because I'm old) Kellie has the work ethic and values that most 40 year olds don't have. And then there's Joe Ruta. What a nice fella and how lovely it is that someone such as Kellie has him for a mentor. He was equally as patient (and trust me I try people's patience!!). He went out of his way to assist me with understanding the workings of the "wreckage" of my prior car (which by the way was a Prius as well) and the how to's of how to get refunds from extended warranties and such. They both took a great deal of time and energy with me, and I am grateful for that. I bought a 2015 Dodge Caravan from here I love the Van but the salesman did me wrong. I didn't get floor mats with it who buys a new vehicle and doesn't get floor mats. My son consigned for me and they did it as a joint and didn't ask us first so we didn't know until we got there to get the vehicle. He told me he could get the payments to what my other car was and they are $40 more. The cost of registrations and tax was suppose to be with the sale and I got a postcard in the mail to go there to pay for it and I live about 45 minutes from there and had to drive there to pick it up. There are a few other things that I am not happy with but I definitely would not recommend this place to a friend.

well i have to hand it to them. they do have nice facilities. I guess that's what happens when you're the only dealer of multiple car brands in Ithaca. Think about it, buy practically any kind of car save for a honda in ithaca and if you need warranty service you have to go to maguire. If you go to an independent shop like I did, they claim that you void the warranty. So - for all intents and purposes, if you want to own a car in ithaca and you need the car manufacturer to honor their warranty, you NEED to go to maguire. Does that sound like a good model of capitalism and free market to you? Does it seem to you that this would foster an environment of customer service and honesty and caring for the customer? Or is it pretty clear that if you want to own a new car in ithaca and you need warranty service you have NO CHOICES. Hopefully this will end at some point. Because if you owe $10,000 on your used certified toyota like we do, and it drops it's transmission at 67k miles even though you told the dealership at 54k miles and they ignored you.... and it costs you $4,000 dollars to fix..... are you going to still feel good about the free ice cream, solar roof, and fresh flower they give you after you have service there?

We entered Maguires to look for a car two weeks after our vehicle was totaled in a 26 car pile up, all escaping without injury. A week later a close family member died unexpectedly. Today, after spending a few days in reviewing a car that I want to buy and ship overseas. Finally, I found it at this dealership and called them today to ask about more pictures about Toyota Avalon 2010. Michelle seemed unhappy selling me the car and she did not direct me to the right person to answer my question about buying the car and ship it directly to my home country. She also seemed very busy and wanted to hang up very quickly. SO, the car that I was interested on buying it did not come true. We drove from about 50 miles away to go see a Toyota Sienna mini van at Maguire. The main reason for driving so far was the price advertised for the van. We were met at the door of the dealership by a very nice salesperson who opened the door for us. We had spoken to Herb Sheffield on the phone and that is who we met up with. Herb explained everything to us about the dealership and their policy of the lowest price being offered on their vehicles. The price is listed on the windshield. No bartering and no bickering. What you see is what you pay. What a relief! Herb was wonderful from the beginning to the end of our buying experience. He took us out on a test drive. He was very informative and answered any questions we had. He showed us around the dealership, helped us with everything that was necessary (insurance, registration, new plates, etc., yes, we purchased the mini van), and we ended up taking our new vehicle home with us. Herb also gave us a rundown on all the features of the van and asked us if we had any questions about any of them. We also met up with Austin, the financial person for the dealership. He was also very informative and very helpful regarding warranties, financing, and packages offered. I kept telling my husband that the experience we had at Maguire was one of the ... no ... was THE best experience we have ever had in buying a vehicle. My husband agreed 100%. Herb even called us one week after purchasing the van and asked how things were going. We have Herb's business card and cell phone number. We will be due for another vehicle probably within the next six months to a year and I am certain that we will be contacting Herb and visiting the Maguire dealership again. The sales people at the Hyundai branch were very nice to us. The sales rep and manager told us as much as we needed to know about the car. They were the most competitive priced and would verify prices for other comparable cars as we brought it up. Though Jasper is younger than two of my grandchildren, he showed an incredible knowledge about Camrys and he patiently answered all of my many questions.Jasper was most helpful and always.courteous and friendly. We had a great experience buying a car today. We had the opportunity to work with Kellie Rongo today at Maguire Kia. The buying process was nothing but amazing. We had a fairly complex transaction and were treated with all the details in each facet of the purchase. The up-front pricing was the lowest I had researched, but it was the other services (Lifetime Engine Warranty, 3 Day Money Back Guarantee, etc.) that really sealed the deal. I had visited the service center in early summer 2014, less than a year after I purchased the car. I wanted to check on the tire problem that I had noticed. The brake felt like something was stuck in between the pads, or who knows. I just knew that there was a problem. Apparently, Maguire could not take the tire off and check out the brakes. it wasn't covered. That was why they wouldn't look at the brakes, because they didn't get paid to look. So, the tire had a knot in it also. Christina Chaney was going to order the tire for us, and let us know when it arrived. Now, here it is half a year later, and I discover Christina is no longer employed, and the tire Never got ordered. I have a flat tire, a slit from where the knot was.Today, Jan. 8th, I had an appt. to check the car, and order tires for the vehicle. The service dept. scheduled another appt to put the new tires on at 1:30pm. It is 3:30 pm. Still waiting for the car to be ready. So, 11 am until, who knows...4pm. Will it be ready then? Unacceptable. Horrible wait time. Not worth the wait. Never using Maguire again. Un

Even though I arrived an hour and a half before closing New Year's Eve, he was never rushed and made sure I was comfortable with everything. He answered all questions with the upmost expertise and was very professional. He ended up closing up the dealership around 7:30pm, an hour and a half past closing. I love my new Kia Optima Hybrid. I contacted Peter Meskill regarding the purchase of a used F-250 based on a recommendation from a commercial outfitter in the Ithaca area. From the start Peter was always available to answer any question I might have and was quick to get back to me with a response. Peter went above and beyond to get me additional pictures of the subject vehicle and to hold for more than a week in order to complete the transaction. Peter also worked with me to identify Ford Accessories that I wanted to add to the vehicle post purchase. Ultimately, I was not able to complete the transaction due to the difference in NY and MA vehicle registration regulations, but Peter was always there to lend a helping and try to find a solution. I have worked with several Ford dealers over the last 6 months. I can say without reservation that Peter is literally the best person at a Ford dealership that I have encountered. If it were not for the difficulty of buying in NY and registering the truck in MA, I would only purchase a truck from Peter. I highly recommend him to anyone searching for a commercial vehicle.

My husband and I got excellent service from a new up and comer on the scene by the name of Jasper! He was awesome, helpful, easy to talk to, all the things one could want from someone desperate to get all my money! The only turn off was that he was introduced to us by another employee and we were told we could call him "casper" because "everyone else here does". We found that individual to be very rude, I don't think this person would enjoy other coworkers telling customers you could call her lunchbox or something equally unflattering because "everyone else does". If we had to deal strictly with that individual we would never have bought our car let alone take one for a test drive. Fortunately for us we got Jasper! I asked Toyota to replace my 08 Tundra 5.7L engine oil and filter. They told me I needed a new water pump, with only 53,000 on the odometer. Fortunately I still had the Certified warranty, and it was covered. However, the serpentine belt itself was not covered and it was prudent to replace it when doing the water pump work. I was charged $120 just for the part (belt). This isn't a magic belt, and the exact same OEM belt is $56 (maximum) online. I complained, and they told me that's the price. I can understand a 15%-25% markup on parts, but not 100%. That's robbery. They also did an awful job rotating tires. They gouged circles into the plastic hub covers on each wheel with the impact wrench and left greasy handprints all over the rims.

We called Maguire's on Wed 9/10/14 about a 2013 Camry we saw online and spoke with Kirk Barker who was very helpful and got back to me in a short time to let me know the car was still available. We then drove to Ithica saturday morning and dealt with Kirk in person.He was very efficient, professional,pleasant and we test drove the camry and had our car estimate done. we purchased the car and drove away,spending only 3 hours at the dealership. I would like to withdraw my initial positive feedback for this dealership. With less than 5000 miles on a brand new Toyota, I have experienced so much frustration. After Maguire's three failed attempts to repair an issue that should be under warranty (of which we were made to purchase parts for?), we are now going with another dealership who welcomed us and made us feel like we were NOT crazy; all parts and labor would be covered until warranty. Maguire needs to learn how to fix the root cause of the problem; not just mask the issue by addressing symptoms. There is not service after the sale with this dealership. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the customer service, lack of compassion and lack of troubleshooting the staff engage in. Perhaps the final straw was that I was on hold for 20+ minutes which led us to contact another Toyota dealership.

I went in yesterday to look at a 2011 dodge ram that i checked out on line, I was looking to replace my 2004 ram with over 150,000 plus miles on it. I had an appointment with Jessica Hughes and a few hours later i was driving home in my new to me truck. Jessica was so great i never felt pushed, or rushed in any way the whole staff that I met with down there where all great. Maguire is what I would call a "no-haggle" dealer, which means whatever price you see on the webpage/car window is what you're going to get (regardless of what amazing negotiation skills you may or may not have). Based on my comparisons with Kelley Blue Book, their prices are very reasonable and the definite upside is that you have none of the absurd pressure you find at other dealerships. As a young female shopping for a (used) first car, other locations and private sellers had a serious tendency to patronize me or tell me what to do as if I were their daughter. I had the opposite experience working with Herb at Maguire--I was treated with respect and never urged to buy TODAY or any such nonsense. Overall, it was a painless, straightforward process and I now have a car I'm very happy with. I would definitely recommend this dealer, and Herb, to anyone looking for a new or used car.

I purchased a 2012 VW jetta. Love the car-went into the dealership knowing my price range, what I wanted and needed. My only issue was that I was online shopping for a about a week before I could actually go shopping-and when I got there, none of the vehicles that I had looked about and emailed Crystal Stanley about were available. I was a little disapointed. Their online inventory could use some work. But otherwise, I worked with kelly Battaglini, who was very helpful and never pushy. Thier prices are the lowest, because they do not haggle, but that is what was so great about it. When financing came in to play, she came back with some numbers and I rejected the first batch. She came back with reinforcements, but they were still very respectful and answered all my questions. The ice cream offered while waiting for the car to be finished was the finishing touch!! I was reccommended to them and will recommend them to others. Also so pleased I could take the car home that day. Thank you for your help maguire!!

I've had two visits to one part of their dealership. I was warmly welcomed by one sales rep. He spent time explaining how the family prefers for things to be done, including pricing. No problem with that. I asked about a few of the vehicles I had seen online. We walked out to where several of the cars were parked. The first one wasn't where is should be. OK, it could well have already been sold, then it wasn't the car for me. Another had a few more scrapes/scratches than he wanted me to have to deal with. As we walked, we talked about the type of cars, and price I was looking for, but I didn't have much more time that day to even test drive anything, but I'd be back and I'd call before I came. I called only to find out he wouldn't be back for an undisclosed timeframe, but I was connected with another person. OK, I could deal with that. This person showed me a few cars in a different part of the lot, and shared a few of the "special" sales they'd had in the past because of a couple of "natural" weather occurrences. Not interested in trying to reverse some rain issues. I was shown a 2014.5 vehicle, and the features were VERY briefly described to me. The sales rep got in the vehicle with me to take it next door to add some fuel, then suggested I take it for a drive. It was unfortunate that because of traffic, I only had a few minutes afterward to get any quick information before I had to leave. At that point, I was very unhappy with the vehicle, because the features that made it special hadn't been explained very well, to the point I was ready to discount it in my vehicle search. Fast forward to another inquiry to a different manufacture, still within their family of dealerships. The contact person was to be someone who had been well recommended to me, and with whom I'd spoken once before, and hadn't realized he represented two different manufacturers. I'd waited most of the standard workday for a call back, as I'd been told. I ended up very disappointed in two different dealership reps because neither called me as I'd expected that day. A totally different dealership, not in Ithaca, had a sales rep who was there, who stayed in the vehicle with me, and not only explained every feature, but explained to me the differences in the two models as we did the test drives, and was very forthcoming with answers to my many questions about the vehicle. This person made me love the vehicle, and now I'm waiting for a call as to when I can pick it up.

Few days ago my wife and I headed into Maguire Dodge to test drive a a new 2014 Grand Caravan RT. To be honest, had no intention of buying the van from Ithaca. Our salesman Danby did his best, pointing out the features of the RT and telling us about 5G's and the keys but we headed to our local Dodge dealer to arrange the sale. Our local dealer told us he couldn't come close to Maguire's terms and suggested we buy from them. (two honest Car salesmen in one day whats the probability) Called Danby up and offered a challenge... "I want to drive home in the new RT tonight". We were extremely impressed and thankful that the folks at Maguire Dodge took care of everything in just a few short hours and we got a really good deal on a new van.

My advice is not to purchase the same day and have your future vehicle checked out, your brakes just may be on the verge of not passing NYS inspection and after only 7000 miles will need new brakes. After only 7000 miles did they tell me all my brakes needed all new parts and was told by the service writer that only covered in first 1000 miles. Called my salesman Mike Melize twice have never heard back from him. Talked to a sales Manager named Joe who was going to check the situation out and have yet to hear from him, it's been a week. Last year I was looking for a chevy truck so I made a few calls around to a few dealers Jason Fernandez ( very nice and went above and beond to get me in a nice truck) of the Trumansburg branch was the only sales rep that had returned any of my calls . After looking around there lot I didn't see anything that caught my eye. So Jason drove us around to the other Maguire s lot and ended up buying a 2011 Toyota Tundra which a yr later I still love which brings me to today. The day we purchased this vehicle we walked out of the dealership thinking we never had to go to another dealership again. The vehicle was ready for the same day and was happy, gave my salesperson a great review and couldn't have been happier.. Then the trouble has started... By the the time the car was due for its first oil change I was told the brakes were gone and had to be change all the way around,(we had only put 7000 miles on the vehicle) . Have called to speak to my salesperson twice never got a call back. Spoke to a sales manager named Joe the other day and was told he was going to check it out and agreed regarding the brakes unfortunately that was four days ago and am still waiting for a call. My suggestion to you is not to buy the car the same day and have the vehicle checked by someone else to make sure cause apparently the customer service is over when you leave the dealership... So glad I referred customers to the dealership.. Never again

I recently purchased a 2014 Kia Optima. The vehicle was covered in pollen. The pollen had sunk into the clearcoat and needed to be repaired. The clearcoat was taken off the vehicle and re-applied. I could still see impressions of the pollen. The dealership took the vehicle back in and re-painted the hood, roof and trunk. After the paint I noticed there was pitting in the paint. It appeared the issue was not going to be resolved by re-painting so I spoke to the owner of the dealership. They had a return policy if you are not happy with the vehicle. There is a time frame when the vehicle has to be returned. I was past that point. Phil Maguire and Frank Vanderpool were on top of the issues I was having with my vehicle. They took my vehicle back and replaced it with a new one that was not effected by the pollen. Phil and Frank treated me like a member of their family. They made sure I walked away from the dealership happy and satisfied. For me, a dealership being there after the sale is monumental. Maguire's goes that extra mile for their customers and that is why I will purchase from them in the future. My salesman Andrew, was there every step of the way and always adjusted his personal schedule to accomodate me. I really appreciate the hard work the staff at Maguire's had to endure to ensure I had a great buying experience. If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle it is worth going to Maguire's.

My husband and I had visited Maguire Volvo about a year before to see a XC60 in person. We had been comparing different suv's on our pc at home and needed to see them in person. We went to each of Maguire's dealerships looking at each model. One of the last stops was Volvo, we made it clear to the salesman were not ready to buy and not sure of what we really wanted, he understood and with no pressure showed us the inside and out of the 2014 XC60. The Volvo went to the top of our list of suv's and we told him we would defiantly be back to Maguire's when we were ready to buy. July 12 2014 almost a year later we went back to take a test drive to see if the 2015 XC60 was what we really wanted. Joseph Bazaldua was our salesman that day, we have been buying vehicles for 30+ years and we must say he was one of the best salesman we have ever dealt with. No hard sell what so ever. He let us take our time and let us pick his brain with many questions, just an awesome person to deal with. The Sales Manager Vince Marziano was also great person to work with, he got us financed and into the 2015 XC60 we wanted. We never expected to be driving home a few hours later in a new vehicle. We will definitely recommend Maguire Family of Dealerships as they were recommended to us when we started looking. Their customer service is number one. We look forward bringing our Volvo in for service. I know we will be treated just as well as the sales department treated us.

I returned to Maguire Imports after buying my last two vehicles at a dealership in Canandaigua. I had purchased several vehicles in the past at various Maguire dealerships, and after being out of the area for a while, I decided to return to Maguire. My salesperson Deavon along with manager Frank V. were very glad to see me and welcomed me back and gave me a terrific deal on my trade-in! I received an excellent finance rate as well on the new Scion TC that I purchased. In addition, I ended up switching both my auto and renters insurance to Allstate since Matt at Maguire's Allstate agency quoted me rates which ended up being much less expensive with better coverages than I was getting through State Farm! A few weeks ago I went to the Kia store to purchase an Optima, I had already looked at them and I knew what it was that I wanted. We were greeted by a sales rep who knew nothing about the car or even if the one I wen to see was new or not. The price of the car was much cheaper then the local dealers were offering so I figured all I am doing is buying the car from them so who cares what the sales rep knows. I took off early on a Friday to come up and buy the car but let the rep know that morning that we would get it. When we arrived the car was covered in what looked to be water spots but were embedded into the clear coat. After speaking to the manager Ricky about why they have wasted my time and not let me know that there was an issue with the paint we were guaranteed that the car would be 100%, they would pick up the car and bring it back to me perfect. Against my better judgement I went along and purchased the car. They came and got my car and for 2 days they kept it all the while the rep assured me that the car was perfect, even had Ricky look at it and he said the same thing. They brought the car back to me COVERED in dust and out of gas. I had the rep asking if it was good and from what I could see below the dust it appeared to be. It was not until later that night that I washed the car that I see that the spots are still there, they are faint in some areas but none the less still there. It is far from 100% as you would think a new car would be. I have no faith that they will actually fix the problem as this whole transaction has not gone right, I was told when it was delivered if there is an issue to bring it by next time I am in Ithaca. I am very unhappy with what I have gone through with this car. This is the third vehicle I have facilitated the purchase on with this Family of dealerships in the past three years, the Chevy store is fantastic. They go out of their way to see to it that you are happy, the Kia store is a joke. Pay a little more at a proper dealership and avoid what I have gone through. The management at Kia needs to be replaced with someone who cares about their customers and has a clue what customer service is. Unless something else changes I will never go back, not for an oil change, and certainly not to buy a car. Yes they have cars that are cheap but as our rep told us it matters not to them what you buys because they will get their point, and that's how you are treated. You guys have my number, if you want to make this right and have a chance of someone I know ever buying a car from you get in touch with me.

I strolled into to Maguire Toyota on the off-chance that I could return my current lease a few months early and get into a new car before leaving town for the summer. Ryan Salino was the first to meet me at the door, and he patiently waited for my lengthy explanation about why I was there (let's just say that my case was complicated after over a year out of the country and an unhappy DMV), before calmly letting me know that he could help right away. Long story short, the defensiveness that I normally have when speaking to car dealers was soon completely gone. I returned later that day and Ryan was completely up-front about my options, listened to my needs, explained that he was not under any incentive to sell me a particular car, option, or after-market service. He stayed 2 hours after closing (much to the dismay of the others who were helping him), and even though the purchase was still incomplete, allowed my us to take the new car home so that we would cap-off a busy day with a rewarding experience. The next day we wrapped-up the sale (which included Maguire fighting to get me the best financing package despite a few hits to my credit). My last car (Toyota Camry) purchase was at Maguire as well, and the person who served me then (Rue--now working the imports) was as honest and helpful as Ryan. They even credited me with the outstanding balance on my Toyota lease so that I could apply it to my new Kia lease. I'm starting to be less afraid of the whole process thanks to these guys. Never thought I'd get this far. I would recommend them to anyone. I'm sure there may be some stray characters at the dealership who aren't as great as Ryan or Rue, but I've yet to meet one.

6 months ago I took my daughter to Maguires to buy a car and was greeted by Sayre Wilson. She made the buying experience for my daughter one that she and I will always remember. I told Sayre that day that I was going to be looking to get a new car in July and would definitely come back to see her. I went yesterday to buy my new 2014 Nissan Altima and ended up getting my wife a 2014 Nissan Sentra and it was all because of the way that Sayre and the rest of the staff at Maguires treated us. We were treated as if we were the only customers there. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I have said it before and will say it again, this was the best car buying experience. I highly recommend Sayre Wilson and Macguires for their next car purchase.

My experience at Macguire was absolutely the way a car buying experience should be. Michelle Hecht was so easy to deal with. I loved the up-front low pricing, no haggling. I would highly recommend giving Macguire a call if you're looking for a car. You're going to come away liking your experience. I couldn't be happier.

We had a fantastic experience at Maguire of Ithaca. We bought a new Toyota Highlander. Just got back from taking it on a trip our first weekend having it and it's so perfect for us. Our Sales Consultant, Ryan Salino worked so hard to help us find our car, price it in our range, financing and everything. He was always available, and made sure we knew the tech of the car before leaving for our trip. They have up-front pricing so it's not a haggle, its more about finding the car you want at your price point. Ryan said he didn't work on commission, and it shows, we came and went a couple of times and never felt any pressure. We love the car so much, but it's nice to know that if anything we don't like pops up, we have 30 days to exchange. It was actually fun to buy this car and I recommend finding Ryan if you go there.

Overall my experience purchasing a new Volvo xc60 T at Maguire was outstanding. The only flaw was that the salesman said he would have the tires checked to ensure they were balanced as there was a small vibration upon the test drive. They were never checked and now I need to return to the dealer to have them checked. This is disappointing as when you purchase such an expensive vehicle, you expect it to be perfect. Overall, I will use this dealer again, hands down, above many other dealers. They were not aggressive.

We found Maguire Dealershis on line and liked the prices so we gave it a chance. It was worthit...the prices are marked on the vehicle and are no haggle..no need because they are priced to sell. Michele H was great with no commission there was no pressure to buy. It was such a great experience we ended up buying 2 cars.

2008 Toyota Highlander. I brought my car for service to change water pump due to minor coolant loss. After a few hours of waiting, service advisor told me that they found problem with other gaskets and car needs additional repairs. of course they does not have parts and need to order. Also, I couldn't get my car back, because there is huge leaking of coolant!!???. I told them that I need 7 passenger car on weekend, but I got just Corolla, since my extended warranty does not cover more, even if it is dealer fault. Next week they called me and told that they found NEW problems with head gaskets and will order these parts. Then they waited for few days answer from insurance company (I had extended warranty), two days on repairs $2500 bills to warranty company and finally I got my car. When I arrived at home I heard horrible ticking sound from engine (I didn't hear that inside car). So, I returned car next day, fortunately, there was other shift, and they took my car, apologized and gave me 7 pass minivan until my car in service. After week, I got my car back again. It has annoying whining noise when accelerated, but one mechanic told it is normal, the second - it is SOME bearing getting bad, but it is good as far. I asked if it is noise due to replaced belt, they said: of course not! So I put car to other dealer and got answer that it is tension pulley, it must be replaced and will cost about $400. So I brought my car to Toyota Maguire service with minor coolant loss, replaced water pump, belt, head gaskets, a lot of other gaskets and some sensor; it returned after two weeks with horrible annoying engine noise, and need additional repair. They charged $170 to me and $2600 to warranty .. No comments..... oh yeah - they do oil change for $10.....

I recently leased a new Nissan Altima from Maguire Nissan. I am so pleased with the level of professionalism of the entire staff. I had not considered leasing prior to meeting with Alan, our salesperson. He listened to my needs, answered all my questions and made the entire process easy! After seeing the way Alan and the entire team guided my daughter throughout the purchase her first vehicle recently, took care of a few challenges and did the "right thing" without hesitation, we would not think of going anywhere else! Alan made the entire experience comfortable and fun. I would also like to thank Bob for helping to program my blue tooth system. Such a great team!!

I bought a car last week from Maguire and could not be more pleased with the experience. The price on the vehicle was so good, I knew I didn't need to shop around. It was $2,000 lower than I expected to pay!! I went in feeling confident because they have a policy where everyone pays the same low price without having to haggle. Fairness is very important to a woman like me, who shouldn't have to bring her father along just to get a decent deal. The salesman, Kirk Barker, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He went over all of the financing options with me and I was surprised, again, at how low the monthly payment would be! They really do seem to have a lot of options. Kirk also spent a lot of time showing me how to use all of the controls and even connected my phone to the blue tooth in the car. He was pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Kirk Barker to guide you through your next automobile purchase!

Our salesperson, Alvin Fernandez, made the entire process painless and friendly! He explained everything well and answered our questions effectively. We'd also like to thank Joseph, Beth, and Vince who were also very helpful in answering questions and taking us through the usually stressful process of going through the paperwork associated with buying a new car. The dealership was very nice and clean, and we greatly appreciated the effort to make the facility as eco-friendly as possible! Not only that, we shopped around and found that this dealership had the best prices, and an excellent inventory.
