This was our second car purchased from Long Subaru. Even though the dealership is 35 minutes from home, we can't imagine buying anywhere else. Our salesperson, Lisa, was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and listened to our needs, helping us choose the perfect vehicle for us. The finance department was also very friendly and helpful and did not try to sell us things we didn't need. We would strongly recommend this dealership and will return for our next vehicle.

Last winter I was not yet ready to purchase a new car. I really liked the new Crosstrek and all I wanted to do was get a brochure and sit inside one to see how it felt. I met Matt Orn who I told I was just looking and was not ready yet. Matt was great, he spent almost an hour with me going over all the features both safety and functional. he offered a test drive but I was not ready and he understood, no pressure at all. This past Oct 1st I was ready and I made the trip back to Long Subaru and called Matt ahead and he was ready with a new crosstrek for me to test drive. Matt again showed me all the reasons why this is one great little AWD crossover. I wanted to buy but asked Matt if we could see it both as a purchase and as a lease. Matt was able to get me what I thought was a very good trade for my 2012 Corolla and was able to get me a great price on the new Crosstrek. After seeing both what It would cost per month to buy and to lease I decided to go with a 36 month lease. I love this new Crosstrek and cant wait to get another one in 3 years. It was great working with Matt and everyone at Long Subaru, would recommend them to all who listen and read this.

Lisa and Ray went beyond and above what would have been a good sales experience. In fact, it was as much because of them that we've bought our second new Outback with them. They ordered the car we wanted and kept it for us so we could have it back when we returned in the spring...and so much more have they done !! We'll be back to buy our next new Subaru with them, that's FOR SURE !!I'm a musician and I often say "It's not the notes, but it's the sense of Harmony that matters." The car and the deal are great, but the people at Long are the sense of true Harmony. We are very grateful -- Kudos, Long !!

Scott B. at Long Subaru gave me a price on a 2017 Subaru Forester that was $700 less than anyone else. I was skeptical that he would follow through with the quote. I drove 70 miles and Long Subaru did not disappoint. They did not have the car on the lot, but located and provided the car at the price we agreed upon. Based on this experience, I would recommend Scott and Long Subaru without reservation.

My experiences with Long Subaru have been nothing but pleasant. To put it in perspective, I have never been impressed enough with a dealer that I have purchased a second car from them -- and I have owned a decent number of cars over the years. This was my second car in 3 years that I have purchased/leased from Long and I plan on visiting them again the next time we need another vehicle. Lisa and Ray are both straight forward, excellent to work with, and not once have I felt that they were trying to put something over on me. I have also been impressed with their service department since purchasing my first car from them in May 2014. All of my visits to the service department have been pleasant and I have never had any issues with the quality of the work that they have performed. I would definitely recommend Long Subaru to anyone that I know - both for sales and for service. There are very few places that get this recommendation from me.

My wife and I have purchased Subarus for 30 years, from four dealerships in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and we found Long Subaru to be the best. They are quick and pleasant, courteous and honest. Nothing hidden. I tell people they are "no nonsense". The sales-woman I had is Lisa Courchaine. Maybe my impression of Long Subaru is really to her credit. She's what you'd want in a sales person. She knows the cars and she's helpful. Best of all, she's not pushy (I hate that). We were highly impressed with Long, and Lisa in particular and since it's so rare to say anything nice about a car dealer, we felt like maybe we should!Long is small as far as dealerships go. But they can get ANY subaru you want quickly. I find the small size of the place, and the fact that it's in a rural area to be refreshing. It's nice to test drive a car on both back roads and a highway without being in a lot of traffic.I would give ten stars if I could!**********

I found this particular dealership easy to work with. Little pressure experienced during my inquiry despite the obvious desire by the dealership to sell. Much better than my local Subaru dealership

I purchased my first Subaru from another dealership, but once I met the people at Long I wouldn't go anywhere else. No high-pressure sales. Dean was very helpful and patient while I was deciding on exactly which car and what features I wanted. Everyone who I have encountered, in both sales and the service department, is knowledgeable and committed to making the customers' experience positive. Facility is clean and comfortable. This is a first-class operation!

I recently purchased a new Subaru Forester from Long Subaru. They far exceeded my expectations. I had been dreading car shopping for months because I just did not want to deal with the dealerships and salespeople. Long treated us respectfully throughout the entire process. Our salesman, Shawn, was excellent. There was no pressure even though they knew we would be looking at other cars before making a decision. He gave us a ton of information about the car and took us for a test drive then just asked that we keep our test drive in mind while looking at other cars. We returned later that day. The only Foresters they had were fully loaded but they were more than willing to contact another dealership and get me exactly what I wanted. In less than a week, I had my new vehicle. The purchase/pickup process definitely exceeded my expectations. We were in and out in about an hour and most of that was going over the vehicle. The finance guy wasn't too pushy with the add-on warranties and what-not. The vehicle pricing was fair. They offered a fair price on my trade-in, although I wasn't expecting too much on that anyway. I would absolutely recommend this dealership.

Purchased a new Crosstrek for my wife this weekend and it was an easy easy purchase. Josh Costa helped me out online before coming and when I arrived everything was exactly as described. Good price on the new car as well as the trade in. Met with Ray Brien who helped me with the finance paperwork and all was done in about 1-1/2 hours. Also met both the sales managers who were personable and friendly. Buying a car doesn't need to be rocket science and it feels like the people at Long Subaru understand that.

If breathing didn't come natural I think most of the salesman in the dealership would croak. Not very enthused to help or try and sell you a car. And the no haggle policy is a joke.

Just bought our second Subaru from Long in Webster in November The first time, in 2011, was easy. This time was great. They offered a very fair price but, most importantly from the customer's viewpoint, they made the experience simple. The sales person, Josh, listened to what we wanted and came up with several options; we finally chose on a 2016 Outback. After picking the right car the buying process was a breeze. No unnecessary trips back and forth to the sales/finance manager, none of the silly haggling that we've experienced at other dealerships. Just a good, fair price the first time around, a price that was in line with our expectations. Josh and the others treated us with respect as a consumer, something we'd recommend that other dealerships follow.

I had only heard great things about Long Subaru and Josh Costa. So when I was in the market to purchase a vehicle, choosing a dealership/salesman was an easy decision. They exceeded my expectations. Josh quickly located a vehicle with my desired options and delivered it in a timely fashion. He was thorough and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. I had a great overall experience!

After shopping for a vehicle over the internet and at various other dealers I visited Long. Not crazy about the car buying system, I wasn't keen on spending my time visiting sales people just trying to move what was on their lot. But prior to my visit to Long I received excellent communications from Ben Straight and was expecting good things. I was not disappointed. Long simply said what are you looking for and we can help you find the best fit for your car and budget. As it worked out, while we were talking through the models and options Ben said look out the window as we happen to have..... Well, that's the car I bought! The process was smooth and professional. I feel I was treated well and am valued as a customer. I recommend you contact Ben at Long Subaru and he will help you as he did me.

I have owned Subarus all my life... I have also serviced my vehicles at Long Subaru for a few years. Naturally when I wanted to buy a brand new Subaru Crosstrek, it was a no brainer to go here. When I walked in I was greeted by Josh Costa. He helped me sort out my needs and wants for my Crosstrek, so I could get the most car for my budget. Josh was very professional, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured. Highly suggest both Long Subaru and Josh Costa to be your salesman for your next purchase!

Your first time purchasing a new car can be nerve-wracking, especially if you are not as knowledgeable on cars or the word negotiating is not in your vocabulary. I had looked around online and knew that I wanted a Subaru and had been referred to Long Subaru by a friend and I would definitely recommend them to anyone! The thing I loved about this dealership was that I did not feel pressured. My sales person, Josh Costa, listened attentively to what I was looking for and was very helpful in guiding me to a model fit my needs and I got a great price without having to negotiate! Now after a few months of ownership of my new Impreza, Long's customer service continues to be tremendous. I receive emails notifying me when my car is due for scheduled maintenance and their system for booking service appointments online is fast and easy! Overall, my first new car purchase was great thanks to Long Subaru!

I would, without a doubt, recommend anyone to work with Josh Costa who wants to buy a car. He works hard to deliver what I expected as a consumer: a simple, efficient, comfortable, personable, and low-pressure buying experience. It is nice how he also demonstrated a high degree of knowledgable of the mechanics and functionality of the vehicles. In this review, I only talked about the salesman because buying my car would have not been possible if it wasn't for Josh.

I have bought 2 Subarus from this dealership and I wouldn't go to another Subaru. Competitive prices and great customer service. I worked with Josh Costa for my 2nd car, easy to deal with and went out of his way to get me the best deal and affordable payments. When it was time to pick up my new car, he came in during a snow storm and kept the new car in the garage and allowed me to pull my old one in to move things over out of the snow. I have since recommended others to this dealership.

I'd been aware of Long Subaru for quite awhile and finally decided to look at new Subaru's based on their reputation. From the moment I walked in everyone treated me as family... Maybe its my personality, maybe its the genuine caring way they treat all their customers but I was truly impressed. I wound up ordering a new Legacy which I'm driving now and couldn't be happier, the entire experience was blissful. Love my Subie

Test drove a 2016 Legacy Premium. Ben Straight was the sales associate. I must say that he was the most knowledgeable sales associate I have ever encountered. He not only knew everything inside and out about this specific vehicle, but he knew everything about the rest of Subarus line (as we discussed options) for both 2015 and 2016 models, as well as everything about Subaru itself as a company, and exactly where the answers to all of my questions were in the various brochures/pamphlets. In addition to being knowledgeable, he was extremely friendly, patient, and professional. Unfortunately we could not get a deal worked out, and I ended up going elsewhere for my lease, but that was a situation specific to my needs. This was the first time I truly regretted not being able to make a purchase with a specific sales associate. I would recommend anyone to go here for a new or used vehicle, and I will certainly be going here for the service of my new Subaru.

Nightmare experience from start to finish. Matt Orn was our salesman and lied about pricing, wouldn't even match a competitor's price which was further away but my girlfriend didn't want to drive to the other dealership so we agreed to overpay for the 2015 Impreza. Then he lied about when the car would be ready to pick up. 5-7 days became 15. Then he lied about financing. 1.49% became 5. Also conveniently failed to mention that the rate he promised us was only for 36 months not 60. Spoke to Ray the financing manager and Scott the General manager. Ray said that Matt was mistaken and shouldn't have quoted financing because he wasn't trained on it etc. So basically even though Matt lied to the customer it is ultimately our problem. Neither were sympathetic and defended Matt for lying to us, saying that's what they encourage their employees to do. They live up to every stereotype you can imagine at this place and you might want to take a shower after leaving the showroom because of the slime in there. Scott was the worst of all because he said I must be lying about my experience and that I should shop elsewhere. The shopping elsewhere was the one good thing he told us because I would never set foot in there again.

I have been searching for a used vehicle for over 2 months and this was hopefully going to be my last stop in my search. My wife and I have put substantial hours into our search process and have visited over 15 dealerships looking for the right car. This dealership has a one price "true" pricing to avoid headaches in the purchasing of a vehicle. What they fail to mention is that they decide what is "fair" and "true" and will not work with you. I was ready to buy from them all that was needed was an agreed price, I felt that $500 off of the price of the vehicle was more than fair to them, to myself, and in accordance with the market, but they would not budge. Their sales manager even had the audacity to tell me, after I said I was ready to start paper work to purchase the vehicle, "all you have to do is come up $500 to start." I do not know about everyone else, but that does not sound like somebody that wants to sell you a vehicle. I am disappointed that a dealership would talk to a customer like that to get their "true" and "fair" pricing instead of working with them. They let me walk out of their dealership over a 5% difference in my price and their price. Well done......

In buying my third automobile online, I always have known that the risk is somewhat higher, since the car is sight unseen. But the folks at Long Subaru have been terrific, delivering an exquisite Chevy VOLT that was exactly what I was looking for. You won't go wrong at Long!

This is the 6th new car I have purchased over the years (first from Long's) and it was by far the best experience to date. Salesman Scott Brill was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and patient. He was very low key with no high pressure sales. I received a fair price for my trade, inline with edmunds.com trade in value. The new Outbacks are loaded with all the latest technology which was all new to me. Scott explained how everything worked and even paired my cell phone to the car's bluetooth. Overall it was a very positive experience. Thank you Scott and Long's Subaru!

Initially went to this dealer to find a Jeep but after speaking with one of the sales reps, decided to go in another direction. He notified me of a used Impreza that had recently arrived on the lot and I loved it right away. Do a lot of driving for work and needed something that had great mileage. This car was in great condition and only about 50k miles. After test driving it, sat down with the salesman and he worked up some numbers using my Honda Element as a trade-in. He came up with the financing and gave me a really great number for my monthly payment. I agreed to it and we signed the contract that day. I picked up the vehicle the next day and turned in my old car. Everything was great until about 3 weeks later when I received a phone call from them asking me to come in due to a "problem". Upon arriving, I was told that they had made a mistake with the numbers and had inadvertently misplaced a decimal point so they needed the car returned to them. Their Finance person continued to go back and forth to the General Manager who couldn't even be bothered to come out and speak to me himself. I attempted work with them to come to another agreement, but I now realize they just wanted me out of there because they knew the scope of their error. After lying to me and telling me that if I did not hand over the car I'd be making two car payments, they printed up another set of paperwork for me to sign to reverse everything. Unfortunately I was so completely in shock and taken off guard that I signed the papers and left in my old vehicle. On top of that, they had stripped my old car of the expensive windshield wipers I had recently put on and the car was not running well because it had been sitting on the lot for so long! Obviously, after thinking about it wished I had never gone back. The mistake was made by them and should have been absorbed by themperiod. This dealership is being run by a pack of morons who have zero business sense and no ability to deal with people in a rational, sensible manner. Their contracts are clearly meaningless unless they decide otherwise. I can only hope that their pathetic business falls into a giant sinkhole with all of them in it.

My family has bought two used vehicles from this dealer in the last 2 years. Both times we were impressed with the staff and glad they were not overly pushy to close a deal until we were sure that we found the right vehicle.

This was the second dealer we visited; Anchor in North Smithfield was first. Long exceeded our expectations on the service, price and friendliness. Long was much more low key and was able to get the exact car, a fair trade in in a very professional, not pushy, nonsense type of way. She also was fine with us shopping around and expected us to do so. A big plus was that she offered to let us put a tandem bike in the car to make sure it fit, we did not even have to ask. I would certainly go back to Long Subaru.

I bought 2 vehicles here in years past so I went back again when shopping for a new Subaru. Still a great place! very friendly and straight forward. I go in with research so I pretty much know what I want but I also listen to the salesperson because i learn a lot (oh those manual paddle shifters). Will be back next time too.

I was in the market for a new Subaru, and called around on a Saturday to 5 different dealers. They had the exact car I wanted, and the second-lowest price. On Monday I went in to buy the car, and the salesman I spoke to on Saturday (Ed) wasn't there because he doesn't work on Mondays. I made the deal with another Salesman (Kevin) and the GM (Scott), and went back in on Thursday to sign all the paperwork. I made arrangements with Ed to pick up the car at 10AM on the following Monday. Ed said that although he usually doesn't work on Monday, he would come in for the sake of delivering my new car.On Monday I arrived to pick up the car, and neither it nor Ed were anywhere to be found. After about an hour everything was straightened out. Despite the time-consuming process of buying a car from them, they seem to be somewhat more honest than the sorry lot of sleazy dealers I've encountered, which is why I'm not dinging them too bad on the recommendation. Just don't expect super efficiency!

My wife and I just bought a Subaru Outback from this dealer. We got quotes from multiple dealers using edmunds.com and got the run-around from other dealers (we'll give you a price when you come in, etc.). The quote we got from Long was competitive with the other prices we received. I exchanged multiple emails and phone calls with Steve who was very responsive to our requests. We went in once to test drive a car and got good service without much sales pressure (we were test-driving a CRV later that day). At this point we also got our trade-in appraised so we could compare final out-the-door prices with other dealers. A few days later we came in again to test drive a few other cars, including the one we ultimately purchased. That day we finalized numbers and put down a deposit. We got low APR financing through Subaru which took a day, so we came down the next day to sign all of the paperwork and complete the trade-in. Our trade-in price wasn't great, but it was fair, and higher than the price we received from another dealer. The finance manager, Mike, was very pleasant to deal with. He gave us numbers on an extended warranty, but didn't apply any pressure us to buy it (we didn't). There were no other offers for things like undercoating or fabric protection that some dealers use to pump up the profit. We're happy with our purchase and it was a pleasant, straightforward experience. There was no funny business with the numbers or high-pressure tactics.
