I've dealt with Cherry Hill Subaru and this Subaru dealership and this dealership is definitely far more friendly and reasonable from a customer service standpoint, but that's not what compelled me to leave a review... I rarely - if ever - give out my real cell phone number to a business, but since this was a major purchase didn't want to use a temporary number (like I do usually)... I regret that because John Kennedy Subaru absolutely sold my number and now I'm receiving sometimes 3 or more calls per day about "my vehicle's extended warranty" from shady SPAM numbers that are impossible to filter/block. I would definitely recommend this dealership but do NOT give them your primary phone number!

First and foremost, Marie my salesperson was AMAZING! She's super knowledgeable, informative, trustworthy, patient, professional, but most of all a really good listener (which is probably the most important characteristic that anyone working in sales can behold). She really helped to focus me in on the best suited vehicle and options that would work perfectly for me. Also, Joe in finance is to be commended as well. . . he did a really thorough job of explaining all of the paperwork and happenings surrounding the purchase of a new vehicle. I was a first time car buyer and relatively new to PA, and my experience at John Kennedy Subaru with Tony was the best case scenario. I was nervous and scared (and very wary of salespeople) going into the process, but Tony walked me through each step: he explained everything (and I mean everything), was not pushy at all, advocated for me when I had to simultaneously get a new drivers license, was very responsive when I had questions, and connected me with a fantastic insurance broker. I know this is quite cheesy, but Tony was the wiser mentor figure that I needed going into this alone. Drove away today with a beautiful used car (with a warranty)! Highly recommend Tony and the folks at John Kennedy Subaru!

Wow, this was not my normal car buying experience, in a good way. While the inventory was not at 100%, due to the microchip shortage, their lot was the best stocked I had seen of any in this area. i Just love the John Kennedy Dealerships! this is me second purchase there. They made it worth a trip to come from NYC and made the whole car buying experience a true pleasure. My new Outback was ready. Clean. with all the options i picked. We just purchased a 2017 Touring Outback from John Kennedy Subaru. Dave Parker, our sales representative, was thorough, professional, and responsive. He answered every e-mail and in-person communication promptly and fully. He did not pressure us to buy things we were not interested in, and he offered detailed descriptions of the items in which we did express an interest. He honored our request for an expedited purchase by providing information that we requested in advance of our final visit to purchase the car. He did not play the usual game of "having to talk to my manager". He negotiated a fair price with us and stuck to it. When we completed the paperwork, Dave gave us some valuable instruction in the operation of the various new technological devices in the vehicle. We would highly recommend Dave Kennedy Subaru to anyone in the market for a car.

I have purchased 2 vehicles (one new and one used) from Kennedy Subaru in Plymouth Meeting PA for one simple reason. Their sales team is honest. I have been to other dealers and when I spoke to them I just didn't feel comfortable. There is no hassling here, there is no pressure, there is no "I'm your best friend forever and I'll come to your family bar-b-q's", there are no calls or emails stating that the vehicle that you're interested in can be sold at any time or the deal will end shortly so make a decision quickly. The sales team is real and respectful, they treat you like a person and understand that these are major financial decisions. And the selection of used vehicles are selected to meet their standards for resale otherwise it will not be on their lot for resale. And when the purchase is completed and you leave, you feel that your decision was the right decision. Lastly, they timely respond to your questions whether its email or a phone call. This is the dealership that I will be returning to!

THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE YOU NEED TO GO!! I put this in capitals because my experience was the most pleasant I've ever had in buying a vehicle. The manager Anthony gave us an incredible deal, did not pressure us into anything. He truly made the process enjoyable. I've literally never had an encounter with any car dealer like this before. We traded in the Forester that we bought at John Kennedy Subaru in 2009 for a 2017 Outback and we couldnt be happier with the service we received or with the car. Our salesman, Tony Rossi, was great and we got a super deal on the car and our trade-in with the PA Horticultural Society discount. We returned 2 weeks after purchasing the car for a session to review the features of the car and have questions answered and we received a $50 gift card. We already know that the service department is great, from our experience with the Forester clean and comfortable waiting area that includes work stations for your computer, a cafe with free coffee, tea, muffins/doughnuts, and spotlessly clean bathrooms. Its true that a Subaru rarely needs service and that they are wonderful on all types of roads and weather conditions. We love the new eyesight features on our new Outback.

I took my daughter to purchase her first new car last Saturday. Fortunately we were allowed to look out on the lot for 15 minutes before being greeted by our salesman Tom. I like to look at the cars on my own before being approached so timing was spot on. Tom showed us several other cars and helped us pick one out. Very personable low pressure test drive, and he was very knowledgeable in regards to the Subaru. When we got back to the showroom we sat down and worked all the numbers out. While the sales manager Kyle didn't accept my offer for the car, he did come back with an offer that was pretty close to where we needed to be. I did like the fact that Tom and Kyle worked on pricing for the car and the warranty first. Then after we all agreed on a price talked about financing. This was our 10th family car purchase from the Kennedy auto group and as usual was great as we expected. They got my daughter a great rate with our local bank on a great certified pre own Subaru, with very little money down and an affordable payment. I must say my daughter was a little intimidated by all the paper work in the finance office, but even though the dealership was very busy, Brigham took his time to explain everything in detail. Very nice touch. The dealership was closing at 5pm, but the detail guys stayed late to remove the window stickers and touch up the car. Great overall experience, thanks Tom, Kyle and Brigham.

I bought a brand new 2015 Subaru Impreza from this dealer 07/15/15. Originally they wanted to sell the car to me for $19.250 We talked it down to an even 19k. A month later, as I left for work I noticed a weird sound coming from the car so I pulled over a block down and realized one of my tires had a flat. I thought it was odd since I don't remember running over anything or hitting any pot holes. So I swap the tire for the spare and headed to Pepboys. They said the hole was on the side of the tire so it couldnt be patched up and I needed a new tire. Shocked, because its only been a month since I bought the car I called the dealership. I wasn't able to reach the salesperson that sold me the car so I asked to be transfered to the general manager, Anthony. I told him about this situation and if Subaru was going to be able to cover my tired despite me not having gotten the tire coverage since I honestly don't believe I caused the hole. He told me they won't cover the tired because chances are that I probably hit a curb or something causing the hole on the side and that that happens all the time, but if I wanted I could bring the car in and they'd take a look at it. So two days later on my day off of work I drove on the spare tire from Philadelphia to Norristown to find out that was Anthony's day off as well. So I headed back to Philadelphia and thought Id come back the next day. On my way home I stopped into the Car Care Center to have them check out the tire again. And after looking at it, the said the hole was on the inside of the wheel, so it couldn't have been because I drove into a curb. So the next day I came back to the dealer. I saw Anthony, he didn't look busy but for some reason he had someone else serviced me. So I explained the whole thing to this other guy he ran it by Anthony and came back with another theory of why it was probably my fault and that they won't cover me for the tired, BUT what they WILL HELP me with was look up the price I would pay for a new tire/installation. So we went into the service area together and Anthony shows up and asks me, "So whats the problem?" Thats probably when we started arguing. Half way through the argument Anthony said here's what he'll do for me, he'll pay for half the price on my tire, $80; and only charge me $399 for the tire protection oppose to the original $599. I declined and said told him I didn't want to spend money there anymore, I mentioned wanting to write a review about my experience and that I just wanted to leave with my flat tire. That's when the general manager of John Kennedy Subaru responded with, "You know what, I'll pay for you tire/installation etc. but don't bother me anymore. And make sure you mention in your review that I gave you a free brand new tire." Then walked out.So, I got my tire replaced but can no longer bother Anthony.

I found the car that I wanted at Glanzman Subaru in Jenkintown, but by the time I was ready to purchase the car had been sold. I went online to look for the car at other dealerships and John Kennedy was the next closest dealer that had the car I wanted. I called and put a deposit down on the car so they would hold it for me over the weekend until I could get there. I went in on Monday and there was someone waiting and ready for me when I got there. I was in-and--out in less than an hour. They were extremely accommodating when I brought a car to trade-in eventhough when we had spoke on the phone previously I wasn't going to be trading in. The salesman was very helpful with showing me all the new features of my new car. I drove away a very happy customer.

I walked around inside the sales office / show room hoping someone would help me but they ignored me. When I walked up to one of the male sales managers and asked if he could answer a few questions, he told me that they were busy and short-staffed, even though he wasnt with a customer. I would have expected him to aplogize and ask if I minded waiting for a few minutes, or to take my number and get back to me, but he didn't. I walked out and went to another dealership that was happy to work with me. I will not be going back to John Kennedy.

Turned in my 2012 Impreza for a new 2015 Legacy lease in July. Anthony and Marie were extremely helpful. Explained everything and my new lease payments are less than my prior lease. Spoke to Jerry on phone - quoted me around 750 dollars for my timing belt replacement and water pump (15% coupon applied). Agreed the price and dropped the car. At dropping the car he said it is different model and added another 0.5 hr in labor. Agreed. Get a call next day that need tensioner/s and seals and added another $350 to works. He has cheek to say that he changed few things which he is not charging me?? What a rip off; CUSTOMERS BEWARE.

. I called the dealership to inquire about the hours of operation. At that time I told the salesman that I was interested in a BMW that was in the front of the lot. I gave my name, and said I would be there soon because I was really interested . When I got there, I was not greeted by a salesman. I had to stop a salesman as he was walking past me. After I told him that I called earlier about the BMW, he said he would be back. After waiting longer than expected, he comes back with the keys. I was already familiar with the car and that came in very handy because trevor was very unprepared and knew absolutely NOTHING about the car: he couldn't even open the doors. . trevor wasn't able to answer ANY questions about the car. After the test ride, He got out, and took the keys immediately like I might steal the car. It didn't seem to matter that I was driving a Cadillac STS V(paid for). When I asked about the airbag light that was on, he said he would have to ask the sales manager about it. He comes back 2 seconds later saying the car tested fine and the light was NOT on prior to our test ride. When asked how could they sell someone a car with the airbag light on, he replied "That could be expensive to fix and again the car was fine prior to the test drive {He went along on the test drive because he probably thought I wouldn't come back}. It was made VERY CLEAR to me that he did not want to sell me that car, and as I walked back to my Cadillac, he very sarcastically said, Thanks for coming to John Kennedy today. I have purchased my share of cars, and this goes down as THE WORST experience I've ever had. I am a resident and very well connected in the surrounding area and will make a point to tell as many people as I can to take their business someplace else.

This is by far the most unprofessional organization in the car-buyers world. I was interested in looking at an Outback and wanted to take a test drive. I had my dad's old car with me. I walked in the showroom and was not greeted with a smile (or at all) - just some lifeless glares. I approached a man who said he was Anthony (upon asking). He called a salesman over to help me who was already busy...waited a long time. He finally came back and asked if I had a trade, then aswered a cell call and turned away from me before I could even answer. I went back in the showroom and then used their filthy bathroom. I knew right then it was time to leave.

I was recently in the market for a new hatchback car. I've never considered a Subaru before, but after reviews and the kind of weather we get in the northeast I figured I should take a look. I went to a few dealerships, 2 different Subaru dealerships, a Toyota dealership, Honda, and Hyundai. The dealerships were all in a row on the same street. It was the same story at all of the stores. I was just looking, and it seemed like everyone that I talked to at the other dealerships were aggravated that I wasn't buying that day or the next. Kennedy Subaru was the last stop, and at that point I was exhausted. I was greeted by a salesman Andrew. We talked about what my needs were, and he showed me a new Impreza. I drove it, I liked it but I wasn't ready to buy. He was understanding, and he gave me a price and looked at my old car. They gave me a price that I thought was a little high. Over the next week I was checking around at a couple other dealerships to see if I could get a better price. They were all around the same, within $200-$300 of my quote from Kennedy. So I went back and spoke with Anthony the sales manager. We talked and I told him that I needed more money off his original price. He has hesitant to give up the extra money, but he said he wasnt going to loose my business over a few hundred dollars. We made the deal, and everything went well. Andrew did a great job going over all of the car features. Hooking up the bluetooth phone, storing all my numbers, and really did a thorough job going over all the amenities. I would recommend checking out Kennedy Subaru, they are nice to do business with. Hopefully I wont be replacing this car anytime in the next 10 years, but when I do, I will be back there.

Well, I think Anthony and Marie are the greatest. I am a very experienced car buyer since a lease a new car every 3 years. I am also very prepared and do all the research before entering in the process. I also use Edmunds.com to have multiple dealerships give me multiple bids. I ask for the same documents from all the dealership and never discuss another's offer with a competitor. As a former banker, I believe you should bring your best deal to the table if you want my business. So that's what Anthony and Marie did. They were upfront and honest throughout the whole transaction. They gave me every document I asked for so I could evaluate the best deal for me. They worked hard to find the car I wanted and their commitment to customer service exceeded my expectations. I love my new Subaru and feel Anthony's and Marie's no pressure, completely honest way of doing business is why. This dealership is not the closest to my home but is the one I will always return to. Even when Marie was not available when I picked up the car (she had a doctor's appointment and later me called to check in), another member of this amazing team stepped in and explained everything to me so I felt safe and informed when I left the lot. He told me things no other dealership had ever told me like about how to have a AWD car properly towed. I have owned all types of cars from Land Rovers to Audis to BMWs to Acuras and the list goes on. So I have dealt with many types of dealerships and salespeople in many different states. I would truly rate Anthony and Marie at the top. Thanks for one of the best experiences I have ever had buying a new car and I love my "RU".

I'm writing to explain my experience on my visit to John Kennedy Subaru. After contacting the dealership online and on the phone I made an appointment to come in after work. I was not greeted by anyone at the dealership and the expression from the staff was more like why are you here. I introduced myself and told them I had an appointment to be here and was directed to a salesperson immediately. I met a nice sales guy and we went for a test drive in two vehicles. I liked the car but wasn't sure if I "really" wanted it or not. I decided it best to think it over more and talk to my wife.Now during the time I was there I gave them permission to examine my trade and not soon after I heard my cars engine roaring down the street. I know the sound of my vehicle since it has a distinct sound from an aftermarket exhaust, intake, and other engine work. I didn't bother me so much until later when I returned to my vehicle. When I told them I didn't have any more time to talk about a deal and had to leave it became a big process for me to get the key back to my car and my registration. When I got up to leave the sales manager came over to talk to me about my trade and offered 500 more. While this sounded like he wanted to be generous it felt awkward since his shabby clothing and irksome smile made me uncomfortable. I noticed him at the dealership but he seemed more like a thug than a "sales manager". Plus from the pressure from the sales manager to not let me leave and want to have me make a decision that moment was beginning to anger me.Once I go my keys/registration back and a copy of the writ-up on the dealback I went out to my car. The seat was left all the way back as if they owned my car. No consideration for the fact its not theirs and that it might be a good idea to respect the customer and to put it back they way they found it. When I got in the car my leather surfaces were greasy from god knows what; steering wheel, shifter. As I started down the street I noticed the vehicle did not feel right and noticed my brakes were smoking, not just hot but actual smoke was coming off of them. I've been driving for nearly two decades and have never driven anything that hard to cause brakes to smoke. Not wanting to over-react I took my car to my service shop to ask about it. They told me that when they are driven hard they can smoke and burn like that. This confirmed my suspicion that the sales manager had no respect for me or my trade at all. I can only imagine what the so called "test drive" was about. That he can just use a customers vehicle like they are expendable.I can only imagine if he would treat some ones belonging like this before a deal is even made I can only imagine what would happen if I took a car there for service that it would receive the same disrespectful treatment. The sales guy was good low pressure relaxed guy but in terms of the others there its highly debatable. In the area if your looking for a Subaru Rafferty is a much better dealership.One other thing to add here the angry customer pacing between the service dept and the showroom about his vehicle not being done in time (its also 8pm) didn't help either.

I took my 06 Subaru Forrester with 30k miles for small factory recall .They kept car for 3 weeks. Car returned with --SLIPPING TRANSMISSION --AIRBAG LIGHT NOW ON--Roofrack Cross Bar falling off--Slow Leak -Flat Tire 2 days later (nail now in TireI brought it back.THREY CLAIMED THAT THE CAR NEEDED:--NEW AIRBAG COMPUTER- and charged me $100.00 to diagnose this, then quoted $1200.00 $600.00 for parts , and $600.00 for labor to fix Airbag.--Transmission was jerking and caused car to stall many times. Thye told me I needed a NEW TRANSMISSION !!!!!! (Under Warrantee) I was suspicious and told them not to touch anything further.I took it to a reputable Subaru dealer Glen Cove Subaru in Glen Cove NEW YORK . Turned out that the Airbag wire was pulled from bottom of the seat (free to repair) and that "Someone" installed an incorrect , leaky GM transmission filter which was leaking. NONE of these problems existed before this "Recall" done at John Kennedy Subaru.I fixed the roof rack issue myself with an allen wrench.I got the Tire repaired at a local Gas Station for $10.00.I know cars and Im a classic car collector- ANYONE ELSE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SCREWED BY THIS DEALERSHIP !!!!!
