I had best car buying experience to date! Al was so great and patient in assisting me with the purchase of my new car! I’m so analytical and really need time in processing and finalizing my decision. Al was extremely patient and didn’t harass me like other car salesmen. With that said, I had the absolute best customer service from start to finish and I so Love my new ride! Thanks so much Al and the rest of the Jim Ellis Mazda team! I highly recommend reaching out to this awesome team when seeking your next car sales. I drove the extra miles just to get what I wanted and at a great price I must also add.

Eddie was super helpful in getting me in/out for my car's tune-up. The waiting area was also very nice and had plenty of places to sit and connect my laptop. I also appreciated the ease with which I was able to schedule the appointment. Overall, great experience and I will absolutely be back for my car maintenance.

This has to be the best experience I've had purchasing a new car. I worked with Mike via email over the course of a week to get everything lined up, and he made sure the car was available when I showed up (I was out of town and couldn't get back on the day the car arrived). Once I got there, Mike was able to work with me and let me get a test drive in before handing me off to the finance department. There I worked with Oleg, and he explained all the options I had. Even though the dealership was busy, I never felt that I was being overlooked or forgotten. This is my second time buying a Mazda from the Jim Ellis group, and I'm sure it won't be my last.

Hilton Young was my representative at Jim Ellis Mazda and I couldn't be more satisfied or have had a better experience (not typical of the car purchasing scenario). His exceptional attention to detail - a quality that I value so much - and kind and helpful demeanor made this a truly stress-free and expedient process. I will certainly send anyone looking for a Mazda his way!Daryl Nesmith, Sales Manager, was also wonderful - friendly with a helpful and laid back demeanor. No one in this process ever pressured me or made me feel rushed in any way.Thank you, Hilton! Sincerely,Kathy Norton

After having a negative experience at another local dealership, I was connected with Marion who I instantly felt comfortable with. The price he quoted me on the phone was the price that he offered when we walked in, and he explained each step of the experience to us without being condescending or aggressive as we've experienced other places. I would recommend working with Marion if you're looking for a new Mazda. He got us a very fair deal and took care of us.Thanks!

I bot a Mazda 3 I sport in Dec 2013. Clutch started squeaking in 2014. Jim Ellis dealer knows clutch is squeaking but refuses to address the problem. I have taken it back 4 times for problem. I will be taking car back every day this summer. I feel like they are waiting for the warranty to expire so they can charge me for a new clutch but I have retained a lawyer now. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALER BECAUSE THEY DO NOT BACK THE WARRANTY.This was the 2nd Mazda3 I had purchased from dealer, of course I will not be giving this dealer my business in the future.

My sales rep, Ken Basezer, made my experience very enjoyable. He took a different approach during the test drive and told me to perform donuts in a parking lot to experience the power and control of the car. I really liked the test drive and was ready to buy immediately. Mazda 3 was not my first choice when considering buying a new car but it won me over after I test drove a Honda civic. There was no comparison to the look, feel, and swaggy tech features of the Mazda. The financing process was a little frustrating being that I had to mention over and over again that I did not want my credit pulled because I had already secured a finance company. Also, there was an issue with me getting the correct car. The sales rep initially told me that I would be getting the bose system. When I drove the car home I noticed it did not have it. I called the dealership and they agreed to exchange the car for an upgraded model with no hassel! I got the bose plus more cool additional equipment. I can truly say that I am a very satisfied customer of Jim Ellis Mazda and will definitely be back to purchase my next car.

We have lived in northwest Georgia for 19 years and have been aware of Jim Ellis's auto dealerships, but have never visited one. We have been shopping for a new car for months and really were very interested in a Ford Escape Titanium, but after actually seeing and driving one, we decided it was too small! Having read a very positive review on the new Mazda, we decided to visit Jim Ellis Mazda. The experience was pleasant from the moment we arrived. Our sales consultant, John Golen, was very knowledgable and professional! Eric William, the Sales Manager, was very helpful as well. After discussing our needs and wants in a vehicle, John showed us both the CX3 and the CX5 Touring, The CX3 was what we wanted to see, but discovered it was too small , The CX5 Touring fit all our needs, plus some. ( especially the many safety features.)The atmosphere of the dealership was very friendly. Everyone spoke to us, offered refreshments, etc. Everyone made us feel more like friends rather than customers. The actual paperwork with Nestor Diya, Finance Manager was painless. All in all, we will definitely visit and recommend Jim Ellis Mazda!

Marion worked very hard to get me what I wanted AND a great deal.I'm So grateful! All the dealers were professional, knowledgeable, & ready to assist. Just a great experience overall.

We started our sales experience online. Finding the car we were looking for and making an offer. We also submitted our credit application on line. In a very short period of time we received a call from Eric the Sales Manager that all was approved. I was out of state and offered to give him my credit card number to make a deposit to hold the car. I was told that was not necessary they would hold the car till we could come in and test drive the Mazda and confirm we wanted the car. When we arrived at the dealership, Marion Gilbert became our sales consultant. Marion went through all the hi-tech features on the car, let us drive the car and gave us the opportunity to buy the car. We never felt as if we were being "sold" anything. Marion is very professional and friendly person. We would highly recommend him to assist you with your purchase. Nestor, the Finance Manager, was also friendly and professional. We were not locked away in his office for hours while he tried to up sell us. We had been given a trade-in estimate of what our 2007 Mini Cooper S with 188,000 miles was worth via internet. They honored that estimate, which we felt was more than fair. The complete and total buying process, from beginning to end, was pleasant, professional and reasonably quick. We would highly recommend Jim Ellis Mazda, Marion Gilbert and everyone we dealt with there.

I found out today Jim Ellis Mazda of Marietta uses an outside provider to schedule their service.Even if you call the dealership's local number, a non employee sets up the time and is often unaware of things such as: certain air bags are custom and must be ordered in advance. It was a waste of three hours and a learning experience. The service team is not rude; they are just not your primary point of contact.

I purchased a 2016 Mazda CX-5 from Jim Ellis Mazda of Marietta. I was very pleased with the car buying experience from the initial test drive with Mike Fresquez to the actual purchase several weeks later. Mike kept in contact to let me know that he wanted my business and would work with me to find the vehicle that I wanted. Having visited or contacted other dealerships for pricing I was able to negotiate a deal and close the sale in a straight forward, timely manner at Jim Ellis. The staff at Jim Ellis made my car buying experience easy!

I brought my 2014 Mazda in for its scheduled 15,000 mile maintenance. I was greeted quickly in a warm welcoming manner by both the tech and Service Advisor Eddie Goines. Mr. Goines was extremely pleasant and detailed in explaining the scheduled maintenance that would be performed. I waited for the service in the waiting area and each employee who passed spoke greetings and were friendly. When my car was ready, as I was walking toward the cashier counter, the receptionist ALSO greeted me and we exchanged pleasantries (very refreshing). Eddie explained that my car was in great condition (no issues) and gave me a heads up that "we may need to replace the cabin filter on the next service appointment" (That was VERY helpful as I will have an idea about future maintenance needs and plan according. The cashier was AWESOME-very friendly and displayed a contagious "happy spirit"... The time spent from pulling up to pulling offwas an all-around FANTASTIC experience.

Mazda6 (2014) My service person is Eddie at Jim Ellis Mazda in Marietta. He is unfailingly polite, courteous, and professional. He let's me know what needs to be done and the anticipated costs, ensures that any factory mandated recalls/upgrades are attended, applies coupons when available to defray some costs, and let's me know what maintenance services are soon due. i may pay more for tires, and whatnots but I have peace of mind knowing that my car is professionally maintained and warrantied.

Always very happy and appreciative of my experience with this dealership. My only issue is calling and leaving a message for the service department when they are busy. I do not always get a call back which is disappointing considering the usual quality of service I am accustomed to receiving.

Purchased a Mazda6 as a result of a superior customer service experience from the second I entered the parking lot. My pregnant wife was immediately offered a water and a place to sit. Mike was a Mazda expert with a true passion for the brand. the test drive was spent demonstrating all of the features of the car and was very enjoyable. There was no pressure when I said I was going to shop around. I believe I got a great price for the car, and a fair value for my trade in. I got to know several managers as I was waiting to meet with the finance guy, they were all very welcoming, nice people. This was the best car buying experience of my life. I'm already telling everyone I know that this dealership should be your first stop when buying a car.

I walked into this dealership pretty much ready to buy a new Mazda 3. Initially everything was fine, I took a look at the cars and then they began searching their inventory and that of sister dealerships for something that fitted my needs. For some reason this meant that I was left alone in Marion's cube for up to twenty minutes (twice) as they looked through their online inventory. The amount of time it took was ridiculous considering he said they were only look at one other dealership.I also presented them with an offer that another dealership had given me for a Mazda 3, I included the window sticker with the VIN number of the car in the paperwork I showed them. I was then left alone for another 15 minutes while the sales guy, Marion, consulted with someone in finance (Nestor). They came back with various printouts of other Mazda 3's with different VIN numbers and tried to tell me the other dealership was lying. They said they had run the VIN number I gave them and it was not the trim level I was looking for it was actually one lower. They proceeded to tell me they would sell me the Mazda 3, for the trim level I actually wanted, for 3000 dollars more than the other dealer had offered me. I got the feeling they were lying to me and decided to leave and verify that the other dealership was telling the truth (which they were). Before I left, I mentioned that I was planning on putting part of the down payment on a credit card. At this point Marion became extremely rude, his tone became angry and almost condescending; he talked to me like I was a child telling me how this was illegal. Needless to say I walked out without purchasing a car because they were making me very uncomfortable. I called the other dealership (Mazda Hennessy in Morrow) they sent me pictures of the car to prove they were indeed not lying and they nicely explained why they could not accept part of my down-payment on a credit card. I purchased the car from Hennessy the next day and was extremely happy, their customer service was amazing in comparison with Jim Ellis Marietta. While driving my new car home I saw that I had a voicemail from Marion stating that the managers had decided I could put part of my down-payment on my credit card, funny, because yesterday they said that was illegal. So illegal that he felt the need to lecture me for 10 minutes about it. Jim Ellis Mazda of Marietta's dealership itself is also kind of dingy and dirty, all the other dealerships I visited were much cleaner and they offer me drinks and snacks unlike Jim Ellis in Marietta.Ultimately these guys were rude, and they lied to me, I would not recommend anyone take their business there.

We have purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership in the past 5 years, and had used the service department many times prior to this last unethical visit. This last trip to look at my vehicle has me questioning every thing they have ever done, and we will NOT purchase anything from these lying people again nor promote this scam of a service center! Doug, a service manager here completely lied to me regarding a repair. They did NOT do the repair, then tried to charge me!! He further claimed that he didn't know we have an extended warranty, yet this information is on my profile as it was purchased thru Mazda and is on the car he was repairing! They lied and said they pulled out the windshield on my car and resealed it. There is absolutely NO evidence of this as my work sticker that is inside the windshield is completely intact and the windshield was not wiped, cleaned, nor had fingerprints which would indicate removing the windshield. They also claimed that using the sunroof in the car, caused a leak which leaked across the ceiling to the left side of the door jam. We have used the sunroof twice since getting this vehicle 18 months ago!!! And we have had the car washed multiple times with out ever having an issue with the sunroof. They claimed there were "clogged pinholes" in the sunroof from debris!! ABSURD, and NOT true, as it has been opened twice since we've had the car, and it is parked in a garage all day with the sunroof obviously not open!!Looking back at my last service appointment there 4days prior to the above one, which was for an oil change and tire rotation, I remember getting a call from Doug that my car battery was testing "low", and needed to be replaced. I thought that sounded fishy at the time since this is a 2014 Mazda 6 and by no means should have a battery issue already, so I told him I would wait. The interesting thing is that TODAY on the paper work that I got from Jim Ellis Service, the report for my battery test is "GOOD" and is in the green area which indicates that it does NOT need service! This is scamming your customers and an UNETHICAL practice!! I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau as well!Jim Ellis, this service department has severely scarred your reputation with unethical practices and scamming the public in order to make money !! We will not be back to your dealerships after having purchased 3 cars from you in the past 5 years, and we will be reporting this scam to all business advocacies!

I stopped by the dealership with my daughter to look at a Mazda3, she was set on a Hyundai Elantra GT for which I was negotiating price at that point. I liked the safety ratings of the Mazda because it was slightly better and asked my daughter to consider it. Hilton came out of the showroom and we told him what we want it, after checking the inventory there was nothing at the dealership but got a similar car and asked us to take the car out for a test drive. Hilton did an excellent job explaining the car features and by the end of the test drive my daughter had her heart set on the Mazda3. The following morning I got a text from Hilton telling me that he located a car and will be available later that afternoon for us to come see. We did, and bought the car. Hilton is the most professional car salesperson I have ever encountered. From the first Hello to the way he explain all the features, manuals, documents, and service intervals was with the upmost professionalism. Jim Ellis is well served to have Hilton as an employee

Having owned five Mazdas before, and putting 225k miles on the last one within 8 years, there was no doubt I would be buying a 6th. I debated whether to replace my '07 Mazda3 with another Mazda3 or a CX-5. One of the first vehicles I looked at was a Certified Pre-owned 2014 Mazda3 at this dealership. While I spent weeks doing research and looking at a few pre-owned CX-5's at various dealerships, the Sales Consultant, Roosevelt, stayed in touch with me without being intrusive. I never felt pressured to make a decision. When I decided I wanted the Mazda3 that Roosevelt had shown me, I returned to the dealership on Saturday afternoon. It was a very busy day at the dealership but I never felt rushed or ignored. I had done quite a bit of research and knew what I was willing to pay for the car. I presented some of my research to Roosevelt which he took to his manager. He came back with a price that was exactly what I had in mind. I didn't have to deal with any of the back and forth negotiations like I've experienced with many other vehicle purchases. The rest of the purchase process was seamless. This was truly the best car buying experience that I've ever had. I would certainly recommend Jim Ellis Mazda of Marietta to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

I brought my '07 Mazda3 in for a 60K service, and had a wonderful experience per usual. Doug checked me in and out and remembered me from my last visit. Also one of the service techs was very friendly greeting me when I arrived and thanking me when I left. Even though I now live down in Warner Robins, I still come back up to see the folks at Jim Ellis because the service is so great. I noticed a review that mentioned Eddie. Don't listen to that nonsense, Eddie is my boy! He is great and so is everyone else at the service department. I have no doubt they do their best day in and day out to keep their clients Zoom-Zooming along. I won't take my car anywhere else.

Jim Ellis Mazda is best of the best place I ever visit and with their customer friendly service help me to buy 2014 Brand new Mazda2 within 2 days. Me and my wife was tired searching car through dealerships because we are new to USA and we didn't have a enough credit history. Every other dealership come up with so many questioned and finally said you cannot buy vehicle without good credit history and even they ask co-signer which we can't find in unknown country. Jim Ellis is the only dealership that help us to buy a car without asking so many questions. I want to specially thank to Dennis and Mike for the awesome customer service and the way they treated to us like our own friends. I'm highly prefer Jim Ellis Mazda for anyone who searching a car for best price and best service. DON'T GO WITH FRAUD AND FAKE DEALERSHIPS THAT WAIST YOUR TIME AND DIRECTLY GO TO THE JIM ELLIS. Thanks again and I wish all the best and success for future business in Jim Ellis. (Dushantha - From Sri Lanka)

The brakes on my 2008 Mazda were low. Took it to a local shop; they weren't sure what was causing the problem. They bled the air out of the system and said to keep an eye on it. A few weeks later, the brakes were low again. This time I took it to Jim Ellis Mazda on Route 41 in Marietta. Asked them to check the brakes and do some routine 75k maintenance, which was quoted at under $200. I received a call from the service department telling me the only thing that was wrong with the brakes was air in the system, and they recommended that they be bled. I told them that had just been done a few weeks before and suggested they look for other problems. I was told they would check. They also had a laundry list of "routine" items that needed to be done. Total was almost $1100. I wasn't thrilled, but figured that since I wasn't getting hit with a big bill for the brakes I'd go ahead and have the work done. Final total, after some discounts were applied, was about $935. Within a week, the brakes were right back where they were before. I received an email from Jim Ellis asking me to rate my experience, which I did. A day or so later at 8:15 in the morning I got a call on my cell phone from Eddie at Jim Ellis. I explained to him that I was on a conference call for work and could talk to him in about 15 minutes. He said he'd call back. No call back from Eddie. I tried his number late that morning and left a voice mail. Never heard back from him. Final damage: $935 for bleeding the brakes and routine maintenance that I mostly could have done without. Brakes aren't fixed. Won't go back. Ever. You've been warned.

My experience started out very well, quickly greeted and helped. However after this I felt nothing but insulted. After a test drive the sales associate told the service manager the car was pulling to the left, he then checked it himself and seemed very surprised when I asked him about the problem like he did not know about it. I was then lied to during negotiations that a man was going to buy it pending fixing this problem which was obviously a lie considering they had no idea of the problem. After then speaking with the sales manager over all new and used cars I felt insulted as he tried to tell me I have no idea about this particular car. As it being I have over 5 years experience as a certified auto tech and a bit of a Chevrolet nut he was barking up the wrong tree. I felt as though he was trying to insult me into buying the car at his price, by somehow challenging my resolve not something that's going to work well on a military man.

In 2010 I purchased a CX9 from Jim Ellis Mazda. The Sales experience was great with Mike Mc.The car has been truly amazing .However the service dept needs some customer service training. In 2013 i had a minor accident involving my car.I had such a great sales experience I decided to have the car towed to this dealership. While all of the dealings were done with the dealership and Allstate insurance I was never kept informed unless I called and requested an update.I was told for 3 weeks that it was all the fault of the insurance co which I know was not true because they were involved very quickly when I reported the accident .THEY KEPT ME INVOLVED ON A DAILY BASIS.When every thing was finally settled it seems your dealership had to order the parts for repair which I feel since they knew they were getting the job the parts should have already been there to avoid a future delay. This doesn't end here .In January of this year I was searching for a used car for my stepdaughter we stopped in at Jim Ellis Mazda after being at a few other dealerships to find the perfect car for her.Diane Drescher is my step daughter who has been diagnosed with stage 4 CANCER who is now sitting at a Honda dealership to fix a car locking problem which I brought to your service dept to fix since the car was bought there.I was told the car was brought over to a Honda dealership before I picked it up and the problem was fixed.I convinced Diane to buy an extended warranty from the dealership which should have covered any mechanical problems.I was also told the warranty could be taken anywhere to be honored.Evidently again not true Also the proper paperwork for Dianne.s registration was not properly processed by your dealership which resulted in another customer inconvenience. There was also about a 2 month delay in getting my referral check from the dealership. Overall I would say Mazda has a superior product but Jim Ellis has a major customer service problem. If this problem with Danne's Honda can't get fixed properly the car is coming back to JIM Ellis with possible legal ramifications James Engle 33jackfrostatatt.net

Good Morning,I visited the dealership on Friday June 14, 2013. I waited outside to be greeted and assisted. I watched as sales representatives came out and greeted and assisted other guests as I looked inside every single CX 5 and CX 9 you had on the lot that day. To make a long story short I was never approached by any of your representatives. I found that to be very disturbing. Due to the treatment I received that day, I decided to take the $35,000 cash I had in my pocket at the time to the Steve Rayman dealership. Thank you Steve Rayman for your excellent customer service and hospitality.

I am a sales consultant at a dealer has been in business for about 70 years and i needed to get a bigger vehicle and after doing my research decided to look at Mazda 5, what a great vehicle, I drove many different makes and models but for the money nothing beats new Mazda 5, being in business i knew in and out of sales process and sales manager David Evans was very easy to work with and treated me like a friend and my sales person Hilton and Roosevelt was wonderful, If you need a new Mazda don't look other places and waste you time, you will be treated great and you will get a great deal at Jim Ellis Mazda and forget about Toyota, Honda or Nissan. Thank you very much for great service Jim Ellis Mazda

What a surprising experience! Over the last 40 years, I have come to dread shopping for a new car. Just because my initials are B.S. doesn't mean I like to put up with it. Our salesman, Mike Fresquez, is a polished professional. He answered our questions, helped us make an informed decision and get a good deal without all the usual insincere flattery and high pressure tactics that we have experienced at some other dealerships. The sales manager and finance manager were also very friendly and helpful. We ended up with a great deal and a higher than expected credit for our trade in vehicle. It was my first visit to Jim Ellis Mazda, but it will not be my last. I love my new Mazda! I trust our service experience will be just as pleasant, but will provide future updates.

I was wonderfully surprised by the pleasant experience while buying our 2013 Mazda 3 Hatchback this weekend. It was a pleasure to work with our salesperson, Mike Fresquez. He was knowledgeable about their cars, helpful and patient as we made our decision and helped to get us a good deal. We were blessed not to have to endure the insincere flattery and high pressure sales tactics that we have experienced at some other dealerships in the past. The sales manager and finance manager were also friendly and professional. This was my first visit to Jim Ellis Mazda of Marietta and I have already recommended them to many of our friends. Everyone should have a Zoom Zoom that gets great gas mileage and a no hassle shopping experience!

Yes, it was my third time visiting Jim Ellis Mazda, and you won't get my business from any referrals from me anymore. First, I got really frustrated when I found out that your vendor (Marion Gilbert - I remember his name, he even never recognize me when I was there last week - I felt like an object), was selling me a "new" Mazda 3 with 300 miles on it, he gotta really mad when I saw the high millage and decided to get one with less mileage. It was at the end of the month and I feel like he just wanted to make his numbers forgetting about who he was dealing with (a human being). My second bad experience at Mazda Marietta was when I went back few weeks later, once I got my car, to buy the weather tech floor line. The tall cashier lady (I don't know her name) with very poor customer care treated me very rudely. She just wanted to get the money. After my not so pleasant experience I thought about taking my business some place else, but I decide to give it another shot, since Mazda Marietta is on my way to work. Last week, I realized how unprofessional and insensitive their crew is. Again, the tall cashier lady, was very rude. When I ask about using my coupon that I got in the mail from them on the mail, she started with attitude and told me that I had to ask the service advisor. I mean, what is she there for? Just to collect the money and show her laziness? After she left to speak to my advisor she came back and stated (without explanation) that my bill is now $74.86. This is with my coupon included. But my package total was $79.90. Finally the main reason is because I had the due for maintenance sign on my dash. I took it in for this very reason. I get home and I stil have this same message. I called Brendan Michael (my service advisor). He told me to check my car manual. Really????? So, I emailed the Service Manager what I got was a auto reply email saying "Thank you for choosing Jim Ellis Mazda Marietta! We apologize, but from the information that you have provided we are unable to determine the vehicle you are looking for." WTF??? Avoid this place!!!!!!

I purchased my Mazada from this dealership three years ago. I have routinely had it serviced there and have been moderately pleased with the service. However, at my last service appointment I asked to have my car's emission check done in order to have my tag renewed. They charged me for it, printed on my receipt that it had been completed - and I submitted this information with my tag renewal. I was being helped that day by Brendan. My tag renewal was rejected and sent back to me with a note that I had not had an emission check completed. I called Jim Ellis and asked them to confirm the approval code for my inspection - and after being on hold for upwards of 20 minutes - Brendan finally confirmed for me that in fact they had not done my emissions but had charged me. No further explanation than that. I'm now left to haul myself back up there on my time to actually have the service done for which I've already paid. I will never take my car back to Jim Ellis for service.

These guys are good. I bought a Lincoln Towncar from them on September 1st. I live in Minnesota, they are located in Georgia so long distance transaction but they told the truth from top to bottom and didn't leave out the little details that can piss you off later. They kept their word by holding it for me until I could fly down there and pick it up.They guy I dealt with down there is Scott Brandt; picked me up at the airport, patient with me while I looked over the car, and he helped after the sale when I needed a couple questions answered. Real prompt and professional, a class organization up and down.If you are doing a long distance deal, have no fear these folks will take care of you.

Spoke with Mike several times over several months on the phone about a CX-9- he was very patient and did not use high pressure sales tactics at all. Once I was ready to make the deal, we arranged everything over the phone, got an estimate on my trade and all paperwork was ready to sign when I arrived from out of state. He could not have been any more helpful or nice. I would drive 150 miles to do business with him again anytime- it was a pleasure.

All Ladies Beware!! I took my car in for a "check engine light" diagnostic. I was told the repair would be $1100 and if I didn't get the repair done I WOULD NOT be able to pass emissions inspection. I didn't have that kind of money, so I didn't get the repair done and I immediately stopped driving the car. After two days I decided to take a chance and drove it to an emissions station. The check engine light was no longer on and the car passed with flying colors. They either misdiagnosed the problem or blatantly lied (and I honestly think it's not the first time). That was definitely my last visit to JE Mazda. If you do bring you car here, PLEASE get a second opinion before giving them your money!

This is by far the best dealership I have ever been to. My 2004 RX-8 had a blow seal and coolant was leaking into the engine causing extremely hard starts, and huge clouds of smoke to come out of the exhaust for around 5 minutes after it finally cranked. I took my car to my local dealership in Macon GA and was quoted $4500 for parts that had nothing to do with the issue (and that I had already gotten fixed before the seal blew) before they'd even submit a claim to Mazda for a new engine (which was still covered under warranty). They also told me that if I didn't have receipts for all the services done to my car in the past 9 years the claim would probably be denied. I decided to call around. I talked to Matt at Jim Ellis and he told me to bring my car right over and he'd do everything he could to get my car fixed because "that's what we're supposed to do". I drove my car 1.5 hours to get there and was immediately impressed by the professional atmosphere and courtesy of all the employees. Matt was unavailable, but after hearing the problems/symptoms my car was having, the gentleman I was talking to said "yea, you definitely need a new motor. We'll get you taken care of." I was once again filled with confidence that these guys were actually one of the few good service centers around. Without me even mentioning it, they told me that the work might take a while so they were going to give me a loaner car free of charge. The next day I got a call from Matt saying that they had a new motor on the way for my car and that it was completely covered under warranty. There were no questions or accusations about what I might have done to cause the problem, no stipulations, no theories about how the aftermarket battery or sound system could have caused the problem, and no run-around. And the 9 years worth of receipts the other dealership told me were mandatory weren't even mentioned. They saw an obvious problem and they took care of it.Two weeks later I went to pick up my car and it was running better than ever. The engine even sounded incredible. It was like a whole new car. After leaving the dealership I pulled into a gas station to fill up and popped the hood to check out the work they did. I couldn't help but half expect a tangled mess of wires, loom, tape, and zip ties, but they made sure everything looked just as good (if not better) than factory. All the wires, including some of the aftermarket wiring for audio/electrical parts I had added were neatly organized and perfectly secured. I was simply amazed.I can't say enough good things about this dealership and HIGHLY encourage anyone that needs service done on their Mazda go see Matt and the rest of the people at Jim Ellis. If you live over an hour away from Marietta like me and you're tired of getting the run-around from your local dealership, it will be well worth the drive. I definitely won't hesitate to do so again if I need any more service done on my car.

I have visited this dealership before and Mike took care of me. At the time I did not buy the car. Over a month later Mike called me to let me know they have a few more cars in there inventory if I was still looking. No cold calls in between, no pressure, I appreciate that. So I checked the inventory and I found the trim i liked.I also had another offer in my hand from another dealer for a better trim with the same price and that helped me get the price down to what I wanted.Mike was really knowledgeable about the features in the car and was able to negotiate the price to what I wanted to pay for that car. Then he took care of all the paperwork, for financing, insurance etc..They even offered to come and deliver the car to my place since I could not drive both my car and the one I processed.I would recommend Mike as your sales person with all my heart.

I purchased a 2012 Mazda 6 GT on 10/15/2011. This is my 4th purchase from Jim Ellis. I drive 1.5 hours from Macon to the dealership because I feel they are fair with no pressure and maintain a very good dealership. They still make buying fun.

I stopped in one evening after work to view a Mazdaspeed 3 and was very politely greeted by Hilton. He patiently listened as I told him what I was looking for and that I had also been to other dealerships with which he would have to compete against. He said that was no problem and offered me a test drive in one of the vehicles of my interest. After the test drive, I gave him some quotes that other dealerships had given me and told him about my trade-in. He had someone appraise my trade-in and he went to work on the Manager to beat my price quotes from other dealerships. He offered me refreshments and made an attempt to make me comfortable while he was working with the Manager. I felt absolutely no sales pressure and he came back to me every couple of minutes to check on me. Once completed, he introduced me to the Manager and we discussed pricing. They came in a couple of hundred dollars off of the best deal that I had received. The reason that I did do the purchase here was simple. While the price was off a little bit, I received such a positive experience with Hilton that swayed my decision. Once the deal was done, I was introduced to the Service Manager, my first service was scheduled, and I was given a thorough walk through on the vehicle with Hilton answering every question. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. I highly recommend my sales experience with Hilton at JE Mazda Marietta.

I live locally so I test drove at Jim Ellis. My sales person didn't seem to know much about the car. I felt like I knew more. I went home and did my research. I emailed multiple dealers figuring I could return without better buying power. I had trouble getting pricing from multiple dealers. Everyone wanted to chum chum with me or use "get me in the door pricing". Only one dealer did not. Ready to take my business out of town my rep tried to cast a bad light on that dealer in Roswell. He directed me to multiple reviews on sites like this. Having a good experience somfar with that other dealer I explained my reservation. He was very nice explaining that everyone and business has it's share of bad experiences. He was sure some were their fault while others may not have been. He explained that most people only review when they have something negative to say. I relate to that since that is why I am here now. But he also pointed out that most sales people are new and people who were named in these reviews no longer were employed there. From sales all the way through service. He also pointed out that some had gone to other dealers. I never told him who referred me to this site but thought it was interesting that he pointed out right away one person who odd enough was the person who worked at Jim Ellis and had mentioned the review in the first place. It just goes to show there are many types of poor sales tactics and these reviews are not always as accurate as we would like. I really recommend the dealer I purchased from and just recommend you decide where to take your business by the experiences you have and not just what someone else says.I'm sure many of these are true statements but some are no longer valid and there are many peoplemwhomwork at each place. It appears people have had good experiences at Jim Ellis. Mine was anything but. And I don't agree with some of these reviews are suspect based off what I went through and sales people listed in these reviews.I wish I could have done business locally and hopefully after losing enough customers like myself Jim elision can make some changes and earn me back.

"I had a great experience at Jim Ellis. I looked at every SUV model and went to several dealerships: Honda, Infinity, Toyota, Nissan, Chevrolet, etc. I even went to the Mazda dealership in Roswell. At the Toyota dealership my son asked me if we could ask for another sales person. Mike Fresquez was, hands down, the BEST sales person that I talked to and worked with. I would recommend him to anyone. I had a great car buying experience. Zoom Zoom.--Alison Taylor"

I could not find a Mazda3 with standard transmission in the color and trim level I wanted in my local area, so via the internet, I expanded my search to include dealerships within 500 miles. I contacted over twenty salespeople and had several negative experiences, but that was NOT the case at Jim Ellis. From our first contact to our last, Valerie Mosely of Jim Ellis was professional, friendly, and helpful. Because I was buying the car sight unseen, I was extremely nervous, but Valerie was very patient and always took the time to respond to my queries. In addition, Jim Ellis offered me a very, very competitive price on my Mazda3 and complimentary airport pickup. Even after factoring in airfare for two people and a one-night hotel stay, I still paid significantly less for my car than what a local Mazda dealer was asking for a Mazda3 in a lower trim. In closing I would definitely recommend Jim Ellis to anyone looking to buy a new car, even to those not in the Atlanta area.

Everyone is always so helpful and courteous when I bring my Mazda in for service. The cost of some services are usually more than I can swing - but the recent coupons I've been receiving in the mail has been helpful. I am always satisfied with the service I receive from this dealership. Thanks!--Laura Matarazzo

Parts Manager needs a refresher course on customer service.Maybe he needs to enroll in customer service training, it appears he knows very little about talking or interacting with customers or customer relations.MAZDA AMERICA also needs to get realistic about parts pricing and act receptive when an obvious problem has been brought to the attention of the parts counter service and escalated to the attenton of the Parts Manager.
