Update 6/8/16The General Manager was good enough to at least call me to apologize and talk to me about my experience there once he found out I was not happy with my visit. i still think they have a lot of work to do before they will become a 5 star dealership but it seems to me they are at least working toward that goal.

IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN FINANCING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT A CREDIT APP TO BUY A CAR. We drove up from Seattle with the family in tow to purchase a used 2015 Honda Touring Elite that was competitively priced ($36.8k). Honestly, I was prepared to not put up much of a fight to get it, but we never even got to numbers because Ty and his sales manager (neither of them is up on the staff page) insisted I couldn't start talking to them until I filled out a credit app. I declined because I came with my own financing.They insisted it was just to prove who I am, "so fill out just the top 5 lines of this form. no need for social!" I still declined siting that this form clearly was marked Honda FInancial Services Credit Application. There's no need. They both got very aggressive and angry that I wouldn't fill out the form and said to quote, "THIS IS FEDERALLY MANDATED." That's absolute bull, it's bullying technique to get my credit report so they had more information to haggle with me with. This is outright deviant and dangerous practice. It's incredibly borderline illegal. Thing is, I gave them my license so I could test drive a car, but they need my handwriting on that form in order to save their xxxxx in case they pulled my credit report while I was on a test drive. Needless to say, if I see a single hit I don't recognize. I will be calling my lawyer. Google Edmunds car dealership credit report scam. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Buying a new Honda was an easy, smooth experience without the usual stress & haggling. I got an excellent deal on my dream car. Salesman Dave Singh was so nice, helpful, knowledgeable & went out of his way to make this a positive experience. Highly recommend this dealership!
