We purchased a used Toyota Highlander from First Team Hampton Chevrolet. I can't rave enough about the experience. The sales person, Keenan Kanda was professional, knowledgeable, patient and accommodating with our decision to buy. His Manager, Eric Tansmore, also was very professional and accommodating. They were both up front and honest about everything with the vehicle. After the purchase we found a couple of minor issues that we overlooked and asked if they could honor those and repair at no cost. They ensured us that they want us to be 100% satisfied with our purchase and contacted their First Team Toyota facility to order the parts and schedule a repair at no cost to us. Going forward, I will always buy my cars from First Team. Buying a car is usually never easy but First Team made it as painless and enjoyable as can be. They give you peace of mind. I brought my 2009 Chevrolet Malibu in for a routine oil change and state inspection. They told me exactly what I needed in order to pass inspection. The work that could not be done there, they provided me with alternate options in my area. I was able to get my repairs done and return to get my car inspected again to pass. This is my second time bringing my car in for service and they have been very helpful each time. I will definitely bring my car back and when it's time to make a new purchase I know exactly where I'm coming - First Team Chevrolet Mazda!!!!

My experience was great! I felt that everyone from each department was very courteous and knowledgeable about the products and services relevant to their positions. My salesman, Mark was wonderful! He listened to what I wanted and delivered just that. Mark was friendly and not at all 'pushy', he allowed me the opportunity to try and ultimately choose the best vehicle for me and my family. Daniel from finance was a God send. I have no idea how he managed to do what he did for me, but I can't express my satisfaction with the finance rate he was able to obtain for me based on my less than less than (Yeah, I meant to say that twice) perfect credit score. This is my 12th car buying experience and I can honestly say it was the best, including the ones where my only responsibility was to choose the car. I shall return.....

My 2014 High Country Silverado was making a very loud rear end noise. After reading numerous negative internet comments on the same problem and how it was being handled, I did have some concerns. However, as has been the norm with Jim and the crew the problem was correctly diagnosed and fixed. As always Jim kept me in the loop on the problem and how it was being address. They were thorough in their analysis and repair. My truck is again as quiet as can be. I place the utmost trust in my service rep (Jim) and Hampton Chevrolet technicians.

I have a 2015 mustang that was hit while parked. I went to this body shop on the suggestion of USAA which was the insurance company of the person that hit my car. My car had 2 dents above the wheel well as well as a scratched and bent rim. They had the car for 3 weeks when they finally said it was ready for pickup and that Joe said he completely inspected it and it was back to perfect shape. I went there to inspect my car for pickup and noticed 2 major scratches on the bumper which is obviously where the body tech was laying in the trunk doing repair to the wheel well as well as the corner of the rear bumper was chiped off a little less than a quarter inch where the tech was trying to make the wheel well and bumper flush. I also noticed that all of the caps that cover the screws that hold the lining inside the wheel well we're now missing. There was also overspray in the door jam from the paint. I was told the car would then be ready 4 days later so the bumper could be fixed and the caps would be in for the screw covers. The car was again not ready on the date they said it would be and they failed to even have the decency to tell me until I called them an hour before closing on the day it was supposed to be picked up. They said tomorrow. Tomorrow came and I inspected the car to find the caps still missing and what's worse is there are now even more caps missing. I told them just to mail them to me as I don't want anything else to do with them face to face. There is no excuse for them to 1st: damage a car even more than how it came in, 2nd: say the car is 100% when it was apparent that it wasn't from 10 feet away, 3rd have to wait so long to have their screw ups fixed, 4th: to be treated completely as a number and not be put ahead of the line in the paint shop considering they are the reason it had to go back through it. They knew exactly what time I would be there to pick up the car but the person I had the appointment with (Joe) was doing another appointment with someone else dropping their car off. I told him at the beginning that when I come to pick the car up that I want it to be 100% and he promised that it would be. I guess perfect to these "professionals" means a half a** job with even more damage. He even said that all the body repair techs have many years of experience. They might have but experience where at a junk yard ripping parts off of cars to recycle them? I'm glad we no longer have any more business with them. That is until the paint starts peeling off of their work which I'm sure will happen momentarily.

So we get a letter in the mail telling us they need our equinox with less than 107,000 miles we go back and all it was a hoax. Our new salesman said I wish they didn't send them out. This auto dealer is as bad as Casey who sold us this car without full disclosure that our vehicle was in an accident before we purchased it. All of these dealers are liars and snakes.

Everything when very smoothly. I was in and out in one day. The sale team was very good and very knowledgeable about the several vehicle. that I was looking at. They answer any and all question that I had no matter how simple they may be and how confused I was. I'm from New York so everything thing is overcomplicated and confusing there. The sale person was very help and stayed late to help me finish the process from buying the car to finishing up with getting the car insured. I would recommend this dealership to any person who ask me "where should I go to a car?".

Friendly staff and very helpful when I bought my car in 2012. This Chevrolet dealership would get zero stars if it was an option due to the lies in their warranty ('home of the best warranty'). At 61,000 miles my 2009 Chevy Traverse transmission was beyond repair and after calling the service department they stated I needed multiple state inspections and tire rotations along me with more service done that was out of the ordinary and not the same as the Chevy owners guide/manual. Buyers beware! This vehicle, warranty and company placed my family in a $4,000 bind as there are only two authorized transmission shops in my area. I would not recommend this dealership At All. On my initial visit I told the salesman the car wanted. He spent a lot of time unsuccessfully looking for it in their system. I pulled it up on my phone and showed it to him. Our second meeting he could not find the keys. I waited two hours for him to finally locate them. It took a total of five days for the deal to be finalized. Ugh! Before two months were up I had to return to the dealer for a problem with the car starting. Of course there was a crazy charge to replace a battery. I believe they knew it was weak when they sold me the car. I refused to have theses crooks charge me 170 for a battery I could pay 115 with tax for. Lastly while they were checking my battery they forced a code to come on my radio. This is an anti theft device that prevents the radio from working. These incompetent crooks did not tell me that their battery inspection hurt my radio. I pulled off and had to do my own research to fix it my self. These "service" people did not even give me the code. Run Dont Walk to another dealership! These people are distracting with their smiles and water. Don't be sucked in.

I been going to this dealership for two years Because they told me only mazda knows there cars. Let's just say twice over those years I've complain about problems I had with my multiply times and Phil from green team told me all the time . It is normal In the end the problem wasn't normal and costed me more money than when problem orginated. They are really expensive, customer service is horrible and their solution to every thing is we can get you into a new car. Stay away

I purchased a used Corvette from salesman Reese Johnson. The dealership had the car I wanted. We worked on the deal Reese was very knowledgably and professional in all aspect of the sale. Dustin Edmonds finalized the deal and Paul London got us great financing terms on the loan. Hampton Chevrolet has by far the worst customer service of any dealership I have dealt with. Every time I call, I am placed on a 5-6 minute hold and then usually returned to the extremely rude and condescending receptionist. While my car was being serviced (for a transmission issue), the top to my center console was completely torn off with broken plastic to prove it. Management told me that it could have been a burglary, except my $200 raybans and GPS were still in the console! Definitely a sketchy business with disgruntled workers. The manager was completely unapologetic about my car being dismembered and told me that he didn't "know how this could have happened." AVOID!

What a JOKE!!! Saw a new Silverado online and contacted Ashley at the dealership...worst mistake ever! She provided me the out the door price then when I asked for it in writing it took 3 days for the dealership to contact me to say "Oh were sorry there was a computer glitch the truck is actually almost 4k higher than we quoted". The dealer should have honored the price they listed it for...this is just bad business. STAY AWAY THEY WILL CHANGE THE PRICE ON YOU!!

Work was done quickly, but technician did not scrap the glue off the window from old inspection sticker and left about a 2" spot of ugly glue next to the new sticker. Some people do not take enough pride in their work to spend 1 more minute to make the job look right.

I find it troubling that you get pre-approved on the internet and you can get instant trade information on the internet but when you to the dealership the person that helped you on the Internet has not passed on any information to the dealership so then you have to redo everything I don't do not understand why this process or procedure is like this why expose all my information as in credit information to the Internet when I have to redo it once I got to the dealership. special thanks to jenny for all the help in getting me all of the infomation I needed for the purchase. thank you for to Shane and Daniel for there diligence in getting the job done.

Disappointed that recalls could not be performed.Disappointed vehicle needed front struts, rear shocks, and front brakes at just 16,000 miles. Ext warranty covered struts but I had to pay for alignment. I have to try to save up for brakes and shocks.

I purchased A NEW , left over 1012 Sonic last December right off the lot. requiring very little sales time. I wanted to purchase a GM auto; I wanted to purchase one from Hampton Chev because the service dept had been so good to my grandson(whom I support). He owned an older GM Pontic which needed service. The Blue team at HC were very helpful, kind and I actually believe they saved "granddad" a lot of money. I wanted to pay HC back for the great service. I told the sales force when I entered last dec. the reason for my purchase. I did not need a NEW auto; but I have a fairly high income and wanted to park my high mileage truck for a while...and take advantage of the better gasoline mileage a new auto would provide. It served me well; With some exciting incentives from Gm and my GM card earnings, I returned two weeks ago and traded my old Sonic in for a new 2014 Cruz. I am very happy with both autos and the dealership. I am not a shopper. I never visited any other dealership, nor did I shop prices at other dealerships. Overall I was happy with the responsiveness and general customer focus during the purchase. My only concern is that the final purchase price appeared about $1000 higher than what I had negotiated with Abe. I am not sure the reason for this and should have asked Abe for a copy of the deal parameters once we had agreed but did not do so. You should do this as a matter of course so your customers can more effectively compare the final figures. The best news is I LOVE the car so far.

The experience was a delight. I called spoke with Phillip about checking my airbag because the sensor came on. He was very friendly over the phone and offered me flexible times to get my car serviced. I explained that my schedule was tight, but he accommodated right away. At the note I left overnight with my keys I asked for him to call me with an oil change quote. I also told him I would call around noon. Phillip was promp in calling before noon! He gave me the quote of the oil change an of course I took advance of the wonderful service. Then, Phillip called me to let me know everything was ok with my airbag and the oil change was done. At most car places you have to call them all day to get a status on your car, but not with Phillip in Hampton! I may live all the way in Smithfield but this type of service is worth the drive! Thank you for wonderful service! I only wish I could have met Phillip in person to say thank you. Again, thank you for wonderful service!

Avoid this place like the plague. This is literally the worst place I've ever gone to get work done. I was in an accident in a 2 week old car. I was told to get my estimate done there, and the insurance person told me it was unsafe to keep driving it. So they made all of the repairs at the Hampton Chevrolet. The paint started peeling on my car with BRAND NEW PARTS a few months later. I also noticed that my bumper was never correctly realigned when placed on my car. I later came to find out that they aren't a Nationwide insured shop, and NOBODY told me, so my insurance agent couldn't make them fix it. He was wonderful though and fought for me. Hampton Chevy on the other hand has literally been dragging their feet for 5 months about getting my car fixed. They don't respond to calls, they won't email you back. I have done literally everything that they have asked of me and yet I get no good service there. It wasn't until I went over the person's head and had another shop look at my car and verify it was their incorrectly done work that they said they would fix it. I will never work with this shop again and I hope that you don 't either so you don't have to go through the same mess as I have.

He didn't have the vehicle on the lot, so he located another one and had it delivered to the dealership for us to look at. We never felt pressured through the entire process. My husband and I were in the market for a used vehicle, we live in Richmond, VA and there were no dealerships who had the vehicle in stock. We did locate it online and Hampton Chevrolet. We called and spoke to a friendly gentleman by the name of Lou who encouraged us to make the trip down. Aware we were coming from Richmond, he stated he would call us mid trip to inform us if anything changed with the car's availability. About an hour later Lou did call to inform us the car was still available. I was impressed by this. We got to the dealership and was assisted by Calvin Smith and a female sales person (I forget her name) both were friendly and helpful. We ended up purchasing the vehicle, unfortunately husband informed me once we got home the vehicle only had a quarter tank of gas when he left the dealership. Mind you, it is about an hour drive from Hampton to Richmond. I called the dealership today and spoke to Manager Calvin Smith who informed me that their policy is to only put 5 gallons of gas in used vehicles, but new cars come with a full tank of gas, however he offered to put 10 gallons of gas in the vehicle the next time we are in Hampton. As a consumer, I feel this is unacceptable especially when the dealer knows you have driven an hour just to purchase the vehicle. As a courtesy it would have been nice to have left with more than a quarter tank of gas given that we did purchase ancillary products from the dealership as well. My husband had to stop mid trip home to put more gas in the vehicle. I have purchased two pre owned cars from different dealerships and each time the dealer filled the tank up. I think this policy is ridiculous. Each customer, regardless of what condition of car they purchase should leave with a full tank of gas. No customer wants to hear about what your policy is, we want fair treatment. I appreciate Calvin's offer to put gas in the vehicle the next time we are in Hampton, however we have no need nor desire to return to Hampton. Why drive an hour just to get 10 gallons of gas in a V8 vehicle? That's counterproductive at best. Now had he offered to mail a gas card the equivalent of 10 gallons that would have been acceptable, but that wasn't the case.

Pro: The Business manager was knowledgable and courteous. Con: The Salesman was nice but sporadic throughout the sale. Through conversations I had with the salesman, I do not believe the salesman knew about the problems with this car but someone at that dealership knew and covered it up.Quality of Work: The dealership stated it was used car sale (not certified vehicle) and it was run through their shop. After I brought the car home I found a problem with the transmission, water in the taillight (which is illegal since it had a current inspection sticker), two days after driving the vehicle the check engine light came on. I had my own mechanic scan it and it was the catalytic converter. The car was sold as a used vehicle but clearly deception occurred for this purchase.I bought here because they had the used car I wanted with the amount of miles I wanted. I will not be a repeat customer and will not refer people to this dealership.Also, the vehicle was supposed to be cleaned for delivery to me. After being "cleaned" there was dust on the gear shift, radio & A/C controls. The truck had pieces of straw (definitely wasn't even vacuumed) and a spot on the passenger side that I was able to wipe off easily. Water spots were left on mirrors from the poorly washed job. The salesman told me I could wait, the "cleaning staff were quick --about 20 min. or so", I waited over an hour for an extremely poor cleaning job. my 11 year does a better job cleaning the car out!

My wife and have been loyal customers for over 24 years and that's where it will end. I setup an online appointment thru "Hampton Chevy Website" when I arrived for my scheduled appt., My service adviser (Jim Goslee) made it clear he didn't think much of on-line appts. and he was very busy with other orders and I would have to wait. Another adviser took over to help me I told them of the issues I was having and was told they would take a look at the problems. They called back and said they could fix the items they found and I authorized the work to be done. I was told that they would also give me an updated "more precise" estimate. Well, after waiting 5 days without a response, I called them and was told my van would not fit on their lifts? First off it took 5 days for you to decide this and still not respond to me, but I called 2 other competitors and they said "that's crazy" They had never heard such a thing. I rented a car for hundreds of dollars only to return days later to an unfixed car. Called the insurance company and they told me Hampton Chevrolet had failed to take the car apart to get to the area that the adjuster needed to assess. Absolutely incompetent.

I has to get my car serviced on 11/15/11 at Hampton Chevrolet. I had to leave my Trailblazer there for the day for them to fix a intake manifold gasket. I called Mike at around 3:13 pm to see how things were going. He said that he was not going to be able to get it finished today. I told him that I had class that evening so he told me to give him 10 minutes and he would see what he could do. He called back and told me that they would be able to complete it by 5 pm and that he was going to send the shuttle to pick me. they have very poor service i bought my 2011 chevy impala here and the battery light came on so i called them to for a service appointment the girl that answered the phone for the white team was rude and unprofessional she was not friendly at all she told us she would try to get us in so we came in about 3pm she told me it was too late because she had an appointment for us at 9am she lied there was no appointment she just told us to bring in when we could we had to scream and yell at them before they would do anything to my car they have very bad service once you buy a car from them they will kick you to the curb beware of this dealership do not buy from them

Hampton Chevrolet Service Department was very helpful. Quick appointment set up on the phone. When I got there, the service manager I was to see was with another customer so someone else helped me right away, got my car and information. I received my ride to work and got there on time! They even offered to pick me up at work and bring me back to my car! That is a nice service! I received 2 phone calls when my car was ready (and my questions answered). When I returned to pick up my car, I was quickly on my way with the service done as scheduled.Thank you Hampton Chevrolet. I will seek your services in the future!I have already recommended people to buy their new car from you!

I had a very pleseant experience with this dealership. They answered all my questions, and were very professional. I received a great price, I was treated very well (the free soft drinks were awesome!). The best part of my experience was that I was pushed into something I did not. I knew what I wanted, and I they valued that. I would definetly work with this dealership again!

Great service! Ok, it was time for my state inspection and I totally forgot about it. I called Hampton Chevrolet and was connected to Kelly, she asked me to come right in..she got me in and found a safety item that needed attention. They fixed it and I was back on the road again quickly and safely. Great service on every aspect. Oh yeah..what a beautiful service write-up and lounge area, they had coffee, tea's and free soda and an awesome children's area. I'd recommend this dealer to all my friends and family. Thanks guys for a GREAT experience and the free soda!

I would not recommend this dealer for service or repair. They damaged my car that was in for a simple oil change and road test to investigate a noise and refused to take responsibility for it. They will not even return my calls. Avoid.

We had a great experience purchasing our Mazda 3. All our questions were answered and everyone was very helpful. Ben Perry was great. We dealt with him in the past when we purchased our first car from Hampton Chevy/Mazda and were very pleased that he was able to help us with our current purchase. I have had to bring my vehicle into this dealership multiple times for significant service and each time has been a painful or unpleasant visit. My service team leader normally would not call me with updates, but rather I would have to call him. Then, I would only be told what the fix is, and not what the problem is or why the problem occurred, resulting in regularly feeling like I'm getting taken for a ride. I would ask questions about the problems, but even still would rarely get answers. The last time I used this dealership for service they forgot to mount the undercarriage splash guard, causing it to drag on the ground and get wedged under the car. When I brought it back in, they did fix it promptly, but there was no apology, no contrition, not even an attempt to explain how such an obvious thing could be overlooked. Instead, the service team lead simply walked into the waiting room and said "Here," gave me the keys, and walked away. As long as I have any choice, I will not return to this dealership after a long history of poor service, bad fixes, and overall dissatisfaction.

This is the 5th vehicle I have purchased from Hampton Chevy and the way they treat and take care of their customers sets the benchmark for how a dealership should be. I initially found the vehicle online and Abe Kent was quick to get back to me and see all my expectations were met. I thought so much about the way I was treated I drove 6 hours and made a weekend of it!! Any people I still know in the area I always tell them there is only one place to purchase a new or used vehicle on the peninsula and that is Hampton Chevy Mazda. Two thumbs up and I also know when the time comes for my next purchase I'll be making the 6hr trip again!!

Hampton Chevrolet came highly recommended and they lived up to the recommendation. From the time I pulled into the parking lot and got out of my car I felt welcomed by everybody I came in contact with. Mark did an excellent job answering my questions about the new Cruze. Dustin was also very helpful and went over and above with my gas guzzling trade-in. My purchase options were thoroughly explained and I never felt any pressure to add on the extras. I will not hesitate to make a trip through the tunnel for my future service needs.

Had researched cars online before visiting the dealership. Alan Cook was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. We were fairly certain which car we wanted before we came in and he had it waiting for us by the time we arrived. We were able to take a fairly lengthy test drive during which we found a problem with one of the car's stereo speakers. Alan was able to have the speaker replaced while we waited. The entire process from the time we got to the dealership took about two hours. It was one of the best car-buying experiences we've ever had. We would highly recommend this dealer and, specifically, Alan Cook to anyone looking for a reliable used vehicle.

I brought my Saturn in because I had recieved a recall letter for the power steering going out. I asked them to look at the front end becaus I was hearing noises at high speeds and while turning. After the so called thourough inspection, they refused to fix my power steering in accordance with he recall and told me that I "may have a bent rim" and the only way to tell was to but all new tires. They quoted me $900 to fix my car. I refused their suggestion and they charged me $90 for a diagnostic check. The peope were horribly rude. To top it all off, they smoked in my car graciously leaving behind thief cigarette butts, crushed cigarettes, and their lighter. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER bring my car here again or ever recommend his place to anyone.
