My experience with George Harte was superior. The customer service was outstanding from beginning to end. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable salesperson - Matthew Badger - who patiently answered all of my questions. He took a the time to explain the many safety features that were on the car I was looking at as well as the various Nissan Owner Services. Kenneth in finance also took a great deal of time explaining financing, warranty, service, and items of that nature. I highly recommend you visiting George Harte for your next vehicle purchase - and ask for Matt!!

Oil Change and Tire Rotation Went to George Harte Nissan for oil Change and tire rotation. Service Mgr. greeted me and was very knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient! Went for regular oil Change and service mgr explained the advantages of a synthetic oil Change. I then switched to synthetic. Whole process was efficient and professional. I will definitely use George Harte Nissan for service again!

Recently came in to buy a used car, and my experience was excellent! Everyone was kind, welcoming and helpful, but especially the agent I worked with- Tim Blue! Tim walked me through different options, and when there were some challenges on my end (DMV needed a few days to process my new license) was extremely helpful and responsive. I was able to get into contact with him easily, and was kept informed on what was happening. Tim even came in on his day off to help me finalize everything, sticking around for a few hours to make sure everything went smoothly! I had a fantastic experience at George Harte Nissan, and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a new car!

Excellent Service. Don't pressure you to get services but advises you when the service needs to be done. Service Managers are very knowledgeable on your vehicle as well. DJ the service manager keeps me knowledgeable about my vehicle as well.

So I proceed to get to the dealership about 30 minutes from when they are about to close. They did not rush us away or tell us that they were about to close soon. Shaun walked out, greeted us and began to show us some vehicles that we were interested in. He was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. He didn't make us feel awkward and he was easy to talk to. We ended up test driving a 2014 Rogue and then we came back and talked for a bit. Shaun didn't pressure us to buy the vehicle or to make a down payment. As we were about to leave I told him that I didn't particularly like the color and asked if they had any other 2014's to look at. He gave me his card and told me to go to their website which has many other used vehicles from there other locations, Hartford, Middletown, Stamford, etc. After going through the many Rogues that were on the website I found one that I was interested in. I then called the next day and asked about a Rogue that was in the Hartford location. They had it driven down the next day so I could take a look at it. How is that for customer service!!! I went down, took a test drive and the rest is history! Easy, painless and great customer service. Many thanks to Shaun and Tony for making this an easy and enjoyable experience...and one more thing, Tony drove to my mom's house to drop off the extra spare key that didn't make it down from Hartford. This place has revitalized a positive experience in buying a new car for me. After looking at many cars online and test driving multiple at several dealerships, there was no better experience than coming to Harte and working with Maurizio. I strongly recommend this gentleman as the guy to go too. My wife and I walked with a car in mind, test drove it but unfortunately was not the right one for cosmetic reasons. Maurizio reached out to other Harte locations and got us the car we wanted delivered within hours. He worked with us on the price we wanted to pay and made it happen. No manager needed to help negotiate. During pickup he walked through every detail on the car and was incredibly thorough on how everything worked. I hope to work with Maurizio at Harte for my future purchases.

Lets just say, within 10 minutes of being there, I was ready to clean out my car and hand over those keys. After months of searching for a car I decided to check the dealership that was literally less than 10 minutes away from my house. Thank god I did. I found an amazing car. I was walked through the whole process. I even had work the day I officially bought the car and they got me out of there just in time. Every single person there was friendly and kind. They had no problems with helping with anything that was asked for. All my questions and concerns were answered. My family gave me a harder time picking out a car than the people who actually work there. Overall I had a really great experience with this dealership. I got a good car. This is my third time leasing with Harte Nissan and my second lease with Joe Tramuta. My experience overall has been great. Joe is super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the cars and listened to what I was looking for. He wasn't overly pushy, just pushy enough :) He was able to get me into the car I really wanted at the price I could afford. I hope that Joe is there when my lease is up in 3 years. Recently I reviewed this company and did not have anything nice to say... since then I spoke with the manager Anthony again and he explained to me it was a miscommunication and he would deliver as promised and apologized for the experience I had and would never want a customer to leave feeling the way I did. After a lengthy discussion we came to a compromise that I felt was fair and displayed good customer service. I now feel as though my opinion of them has drastically changed and am happy to say the service was good and my faith restored.

I was completely ripped off and treated with extreme disrespect and humiliated by this dealership more specifically Justin Chandler and Anthony Thomas! I bought a brand-new 2015 Nissan rogue DONT buy this car it's a piece of crap!! I spent 30,000 on this car! I take the car home the next day I noticed it's all stained in dirty on the inside then a few days later I noticed the lane change back up camera and several of the other safety features don't work at all and addition to my CD player just going black randomly shutting off! nothing at all works on this car and it's a brand-new vehicle I call the dealership to tell them what's going on, I have to call on five separate occasions to even get an appointment at this point I am very annoyed and I am express my frustraion after the fifth time calling to make an appointment that woman on the phone said she has no record of me in the computer, 20 minutes later she finally finds me and makes an appointment. Later that day I get a call from Anthony telling me to continue my service elsewhere because he didn't like the way I was talking to his staff now I am stuck with a broken Car that I paid $30,000! they don't want to help me and now I'm embarrassed because I've been banned from the dealership that I bought a car from ! After they cash that commission check they couldn't care less about you or your car or what's wrong with your car!! Save yourself the frustration and go to another dealership! I wish I'd read some of these reviews before I went there now I'm in a really bad predicament because of them

George Harte is as good as the extent of not having any issues. We are on vehicle number four which all have come from Harte - first purchase around 2003. The sales guys are always great but of course they will be since they want to make a sale. The service guys have always been mediocre. Our latest purchase was a brand new Nissan path finder in March of 2014 and has had issue after issue - the last being a major electrical issue that took three weeks and four trips to the dealer to fix. After becoming very fustrated we finally escalated our dissatisfaction with the level of customer service. The only resolutions we were offered all came in the form of us spending more money to either purchase a new vehicle (my truck is a 2014) or purchasing an extended warranty at a cost of $3000. We asked for a meeting and although we were told it could be held at our convenience they refused to meet on a weekend. Needless to say we are stuck with a vehicle that has had multiple major issues without a peace of mind and no cooperation from Harte. A Nissan dealership is as good as the customer service that comes with it and stands behind its product. I will purchase another Nissan but never from Harte. Buyer beware - Harte is not loyal to it's customers.

went to the dealership knowing that my windshild washer pump was burnt out ok no big deal got some routine maintenance done on my car oil change etc. Wilfredo (BTW a great service advisor) informed me that the windshild washer resivor was cracked and needed to be replace which I found very weird Cuz I jus filled it with washer fluid to test the pump and I did not see any leaks. I truly believe they either are just saying this to get more money out of me or the tech cracked it himself. long story short I'm not paying $370 for a new one.

The wonderful salesman Carlos, got me a great lease deal ! I didnt have a way of getti g to the dealership because my old car died and he picked me up and drove me there, and in a couple of hours i was driving a brand new car! Patient and honest and will do so much to get you a great deal!

While going to the dealership for a routine oil change my mother met Shaun Gayle, a young engaging salesmen. My mother had a chance to trade her car in, but wasn't aware of the different options she had. Shaun, in a non-aggressive way, took the time to explain to my mother the various options she had. While she didn't immediately purchase the car, Shaun made himself available to answer any questions after their initial conversation. Finally we decided to take advantage of the options she had and Shaun worked with my mother throughout the entire process, which had a few obstacles to overcome. He's truly a great ambassador of customer service and Harte Nissan is a better dealership because. I would absolutely send friends and family to see Shaun knowing they'll be treated with respect. There are others in the dealership, however, that don't concern themselves with the overall experience of the buyer, which is unfortunate. But it makes Shaun look even better

I had a very pleasurable experience recently when purchasing my car. My salesman, Maurizio Lancia was very professional and courteous. The biggest issue I had with the new vehicle was the intense smell of smoke in it from the previous owner, which was an original deterrent to me buying the vehicle. He assured me that he would have the car cleaned completely and, when I came to pick it up I was not satisfied, he would make it right. The vehicle was perfect when I did pick it up, just as he had promised. The only issue I had was that I was almost to my home when I received a phone call from Maurizio stating that the finance department had forgotten to give me my registration and insurance information. when I called back, the receptionist was very rude to me. Maurizio was the best!!!!

My partner and I have been looking at an Infiniti at George Harte for about a week. We arrive to the dealership on Saturday to finalize the deal. When in negotiations, we asked the dealer to come down $1000 bucks on the price of a 19K car and we would make the deal. He told us that "This is not a charity. This is not United way. This is a business"Even a person who has never driven or bought a car before in their lives knows that you negotiate the price of the car. So when we asked for the justified price reduction (My finance company told me the car is listed for too much) we were told this isn't United way??What's worse, we were humiliated in front of all the other people at the dealership buying cars. We were asked to get our things and leave the office when we asked the finance manager, Joshua Spoerndle, if he thought what he said was rude. Do NOT buy your car from here. As long as we were dressed like young professionals during the week, we were treated with respect. The moment we show up on Saturday morning with our Saturday morning threads, we're treated like children, humiliated and asked to leave.

The overall experience was great. We just moved from VA and needed something for the New England weather. We were able to lease the Murano that my wife wanted. There was no pressure and the entire process was actually enjoyable. Truly the best car buying experience I have ever had and I bought my 1st car in 1983, so I have been doing this for a while. I even enjoyed dealing with the business manager and the entire electronic process of signing paperwork made me know I was not dealing with a 2nd rate auto dealer. Great job by all. I was referred to George Harte Nissan by a colleague who bought a new Maxima through them and had nothing but great things to say. I was greeted immediately by Shaun who was friendly and made me feel relaxed the entire time. I never felt pressured at any point and he was so patient and informative. In the end I decided it was in my best interest to lease a 2015 Nissan Rogue SL all-wheel drive. While going over the price for the car, he introduced to me his manager, Glenn, who was very friendly and insisted I don't hesitate contacting them with any questions. Price wise, this was the most competitive offer I received out of the three places I visited. This is the first car I've leased that had a lot of technology involved and Shaun showed me how to use everything before I left and even downloaded all of the contacts from my cell phone so I could use the blue tooth immediately. Shaun was great and I recommend him and George Harte Nissan to everyone I speak to that's in the market for a new car.

We love this car! It is our second purchase from George Harte and second Sentra . We also have a Maxima, purchased through private owner. We had a very good experience with Matt P. who was in the lot when we pulled in,answered ALL of our questions , was patient,had,two different test drives and ended up owning a 2015 Sentra in a beautiful , Cayenne Red. We are Nissan fans and have had the very best of luck with all our Nissans. 1995 Sentra with over ,200k still going after giving it to our son. Doesn't look beautiful, but still runs great ! Had really great experience and would recommend Matt P. to assist you. He was great . All ten stars from us for Matt P. and of course Nissan vehicles. I have purchased many new cars and this was by far the worst experience. I work for *** and used the VPP program. The dealer was extremely sneaky and dishonest. Gave me one price and then when I showed up it was suddenly higher(they added in free oil changes). Once they took out the FREE oil changes it was back at the correct price? Then they bought me out of my current Ford lease. They removed the plates and gave them to me. Now that my car has been there for over a week they tell me today that they can't bring it back to Ford that I have to. Then why did you buy me out of my lease? Why did you keep the car? Now it's my responsibility to bring it back to Ford? Who pays any extra fee's if there are any? Because of this dealer this is my first and last Nissan. For a VPP customer I expected better. Watch out for the Free oil changes your paying for them.

Honestly an excellent experience. I walked in on a Sunday about an hour from closing, Steve and Anthony were there and greeted me immediately, I told them what I was looking for and immediately started getting me quotes, not once did they rush me out the door. Although they didn't have the Altima S in the color I wanted, they did have the SL, I ended up getting the SL. I absolutely love it! I came back Monday to finish up everything and they even told me I could take the car that same day! Carlton, walked me through all the paperwork explaining everything and not just telling me to sign without letting me know what it was for. All in all it was one of the best car purchasing experiences I've had.

After receiving a flyer from another Nissan dealer I went to Harte. The too good to be true offer was countered with an excellent deal without the hidden costs and fees. Justin was excellent at "Plain-Dealing" and I was soon treading in my car for a beautiful new Pathfinder. All terms were carefully explained and I was happy with the financial and personal dealings with Justin and the Nissan staff. There was never a question in my mind on where I would buy a new car. The service department at George Hart Nissan in West Haven has taken fabulous car of me and my 2011 Nissan Altima for the past 2 years. Dave F and the team at George Hart provided me with efficient service and educated me on my vehicle and all recommended service. I always knew what was going on and I always got a great deal. When my car was totaled in an accident, I knew just the place to look- George Hart! From the moment I walked into the store I was greeted by name and Odell made the process of buying a car stress free and enjoyable. I have to say out of the seven dealerships George Harte Nissan went above and beyond.... ESPECIALLY ANTHONY THOMAS!!! I walked out on a Friday after speaking to Anthony, with a little hope and advise. As I continued to shop around I became more and more upset given my personal struggles that I was beginning to think that getting a new car, or ANY car was going to be impossible! Needless to say I received a surprise phone call on Monday from Anthony Thomas, asking how I made out with the suggestions he had made. I began to tell him, I was hitting road blocks! He than told me, he was thinking about my request to purchase a car and the struggles I have endured. He than began to tell me, I have a better offer for you.... Well I came right down to George Harte Nissan that evening, and drove out with a 2014 Nissan Rogue!I couldn't have been happier with the service and understanding, and compassion to say the least! Joe Tramuta called at 4:00pm on Friday 3/31/14 and within 4 hours we drove out of there dealership with another brand new car. They made a deal to get us out of our current lease and replace our car with a brand new upgraded model than we had for the same monthly payment that we where currently paying with no money down. Joe was excellent and all went smoothly with no hidden tricks. I would definitely recommend this dealership as we have leased 4 Muranos from them since 2005. Very pleased with the transaction!

This represents my fifth Nissan in a row, and while all of my experiences in dealing with Nissan have been good, my experience with the staff at George Harte Nissan was exceptional. Steve Kutsera did an outstanding job going through each of the vehicles I test drove, and was professional and prompt with his following up addressing all of my questions. Mike Mercier also made a point to come over and introduce himself and discussed some of the additional promotions that Nissan was offering. In all, while I test drove other vehicles, I came back to Harte because they were the best on price and service. Not only did they absorb my remaining lease payments, but they were upfront and fair in the negotiating process. I couldn't be happier with my experience and I would not only recommend the car (2014 Rogue) but I most certainly will be recommending Harte to anyone I know that is in the market for a car.

I purchased my vehicle from here a year ago, and bought an extended warranty, Which I lost. When i called I spoke with a person named Danny he was very helpful and nice on the phone and went the extra mile to pull my records and email me my policy. The check engine light came on on my vehicle it is a Honda so i called multiple honda dealers, all of which were rude and quick to hang up with me, so i brought the car back to george harte the first gentleman to help me was very nice and quick to help fix the situation, unfortunately i can not remember his name but he was fantastic. He explained everything to us and was determined to help, quick service and very informative. The other gentleman named danny i remember his name because it is my son and husband's name. He was also extremely knowledgeable and very helpful, he fixed the problem with my vehicle right away, All of the people in this dealership I came in contact with were helpful and really knew what they were doing I will definetley recommend this place. This is the second rouge I have bought from Harte Nissan , west haven . They are very accommodating and the service department is great, the tire warning light went on . I called them at 4:30. Pm , spoke to Dave Fagnani he told me to bring it in and they would fix it right away., and they did. There was a nail in my tire they fixed it refilled and I was on my way they did not charge me .

I have purchased or leased 3 cars at George Harte Nissan. I very much like Walter. He is honest and a very hard worker. Even though I am implicitly distrustful of car salesmen, he represents a contradiction to this. He is excellent!

Driver side windscreen wiper "broke" on a snowy friday, refusing to oscillate. They took me in immediately, handled the problem swiftly ( didn't even get a chance to drink the free coffee they provided) and had me on my way. further, they did it for FREE as it "was a simple, easy to solve problem that shouldn't have happened."I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership, and will buy my next ones from them as well.

From the first moment I entered the service department at George Harte Nissan I was promptly greeted and my car was taken in for service, I had routine maintenance done and they even found another issue that would have given me problems in the future. I certainly will use and reccommend them in the future.

From the moment I arrived, everyone was helpful, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The car was detailed, all new features explained and financing and warranties were reviewed. My new Altima is awesome! Thanks to the entire staff.

This dealership is a money hungry pit. You go in a innocent customer looking for a car and leave feeling cheated and misinformed. They sell you a dream and you think you made out good until you sign the deal and realize that everything the sales man told you was a lie. The service technicians are great, the dealer is clean. The service stinks. No manager ever calls you back, the sales men will tell you anything to get a car sale. I went in looking for a used car and the sales guy talked me into a lease telling me I can terminate after a year and get another car, This is a bold face lie. DONT GET A LEASE FROM GEORGE HART. If you terminate you still have to pay for the car and your credit will reflect a repo so you are pretty much stuck with the car adnd you end up paying an extra 10,000 more than the car is worth when you lease and keep the car.

We were pretty clear on why we wanted to lease the Nissan Versa Note. Odell quickly figured out what we wanted and why and within seconds, he made a good and acceptable proposal.Initially, we were going to visit Honda and Mazda dealers in our area to get a good idea of what was available for our purpose, After speaking with Odell, we felt he had the car we needed at the right price, and we made the required deposit right then and there. We chose a Versa Note from the lot.Odell then let us know what to expect next, what to request from our insurance company, what options might be considered in the future (such as buying the car option after 3 years). When we picked up the car today (1/13/2014), he took us to it, was ready to show everything we needed to know, arranged the paperwork "chore" with the business manager, Mr. Leng.By the way, the meeting with the business manager went very well, although a long and tedious task.We are quite impressed, and we hope to be just as satisfied with the service department when we need it.

Good experience. Salesman( Carl ) was knowledgeable , courteous and very attentive. Offered a good deal on lease and followed up promptly . Would recommend Carl and Harte if asked by any friends or colleagues.

This is the 2nd Altima I have purchased at Harte Nissan. I came back because the service I received with the first one was outstanding. The staff at Harte are always ready to help and always have a smile.This time I was assisted by Karen. She was absolutely amazing and made me feel very comfortable while discussing my options and what was best for me. I was in a new Altima and on my way in no time at all. I really enjoyed the special attention Karen gave to me and how she was truly genuine in her attempt to give me the best deal possible. The business manager Igor Zektser of this store is doing fraud and is a big liar without feeling ashamed at all! He lied to me that I had to pay double tax(NJ, CT) on the car to force me first buy the car using registration in Connecticut. On 2013/9/1 I paid all in cash one time $15000 including registration/title/plate. One week later he forced me to pay $96 more for doing registration in New Jersey because I had NJ driver's license. I paid $96 cash more. The registration expired for 3 weeks and made me unable to drive. Since 1 month ago he said during that week he will send me Connecticut's title/registration/plate and I got nothing. Later another guy finally gave me registration and plate but they did not refund the extra registration fee. The car was was honda civic 2009 with 63951 miles.Never buy a car from this store anymore!

I was very satisfied with my purchase. I have been leasing for quite awhile with your dealership and now I'm going to own this car. I came in and said exactly what kind of deal I wanted and Karen was able to do exactly that for me. She explained everything to me about the car and I was very satisfied. My husband and I were looking for a new Frontier and couldn't find anything locally that met all of our wish list. I called George Harte and worked with Anthony (mostly over the phone and through emails) and he found us the exact truck we were looking for. The price met our budget as well and we got a great financing rate. We've never had a more smooth purchase transaction, and when we arrived to pick up the truck, there was no wait and we drove away in no time at all! Joe was extremely helpful and took the time to review and go over all of the operating instructions of our new Frontier. Anthony is a great salesman and we would definitely buy here again.

My Altima was locked because of the malfunctioning Immobilizer system, And I towed my car to this dealer for unlocking. At the beginning, I told them it is the Immobilizer system that makes the car failed to start . However, they tried to sell their precious service and they spent three hours on diagnosing this problem, and 139 dollars for each hour. What a job! And finally suggested me to replace more components. I just need it to be unlocked! And at last, I spent about 700 dollar to get my car unlocked. Try your best to avoid this place!

I came to George Harte Nissan because I heard of the great deals they were having for the labor day weekend. Once there i realized that not only were their deals great but their customer service is top notch. Karen Swett, the leasing manager, was very helpful and kind during my visit. She made me feel like my business was priority number one. She was very professional and address all my concerns and questions. I cannot say enough about all the other members who I had the pleasure to interact with. I am very pleased with my overall experience and without a doubt return for my new vehicle.

Everyone hates buying a car, but this dealership makes it easy and painless. I highly recommend that you work with Alex Khmelnitskiy and John Sivak. Alex listens to what you want (and don't want) and follows through on everything. He works hard and is a man of his word. John makes the actual buying process easy to understand and to do. John saved me a trip to the DMV when I could not find my car title (for my trade in)- this was invaluable. Don't be afraid to go to this dealership. No games, no run-around- just hard working people doing the best possible job.

This has been my second Nissan I have bought in this dealership within this year. This dealership works with you to get the best car for your lifestyle. Anthony and Karl as always, were wonderful. Leland was very patient and kind going over our options regarding the financing.The only thing I will say that was uncomfortable was working out a deal in the middle of the showroom at a table with no privacy. I think they need to change that. I mentioned it to my daughter who was with us the second time and she thought it should have been more private as well. We are talking about our finances near someone sitting on a couch waiting for their car to be serviced. But again, the people were wonderful. We are loving our Rogues. Thanks.

I had a very good experience purchasing a new 2013 Nissan Rogue. I received very helpful service from Odell. He guided me through the whole process and was very friendly and knowledgeable. He made sure I knew everything about my new vehicle before I drove away with it. He even checked up on me a few days later to make sure everything was going well with my new vehicle and that there were no problems. This is the 2nd vehicle I bought from this dealer and I'm sure I'll be back again! I would also recommend this dealer to others. Thanks!

I was a little skeptical stepping foot into this dealership because when I first got there I wanted to take a look at the lot and check out their prices and they weren't posted. That was about as and as it was, Joe T came up and greeted my mom and I and told us when we were done looking around he would be more than happy to answer any questions and help us look for the right car. When we were ready to be helped Joe was easy to find and brought us inside, offered us something to drink or eat and brought us to a table to discuss our needs. He was extremely helpful and understanding of my budget. I couldn't stay long on the first visit but he kept in contact the next couple days and when I went back he had a car and plan waiting for me, all we had to do were tweak some things with Igor, their finance person, also very friendly and I ended up leasing a 2013 Nissan Sentra!

I came in to collect my 2000 Nissan Xterra which was being serviced at this location and while waiting for my vehicle, I was chatting with one of the sales associates, Walter. Upon hearing the agonies I was experiencing with my vehicle he made a great offer to trade in the Xterra in exchange for a newer vehicle; I had been to other local dealerships and got very low offers for a trade. My friend who was with me at the time and who had also recently purchased a used vehicle, could not believe the great offer; prior to speaking to Walter my intent was to go to the dealership at which my friend had purchased his vehicle and see if I could get a decent trade. Although I doubted that I would be approved, much less have affordable payments as well as the vehicle I really wanted, Walter made it happen. I could not believe it! Now I have no worries and I really enjoy my 2012 Nissan Versa; not only is it reliable, it suits my needs and is great on gas. Walter went above and beyond to ensure that I got the Versa and took care of everything within a relatively short span of time. Even after I made my purchase and went back to the dealership, Walter attended to me without an issue; he was professional and accommodating.

We just purchased our 14th vehicle from George Harte-we keep coming back because they take good care of us. I was going to buy a Buick this time around and then I work with Karen and Anthony and received such a good price I leased another Altima-and it is a great car; The paperwork was done in record time; at the time I picked up the car everything was in place. I would highly recommend George Harte to everyone and I do; actually one of my friends is going to purchase a Nissan this month. Our neighbors twase as as we have four Nissansin our drivewasy-we all drive Nissans in our family-they saay we shuold do a commercial for George Harte.

I visited this place on a Friday, I was greeted by Joe and Jay. The experience was different from the start, I didn't feel pressured into anything and felt they were buddies rather than salesmen. They showed great customer service skills and I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a USED/NEW Nissan. The salesman Joe even contacted me on his day off to make sure everything was going according to plan. I can't say enough good things about this dealership!

My buying experience was a pleasant one. Walter listened to my needs and was determined to meet them. He was very easy to talk with, and a pleasure to deal with.Leighland was also a pleasure to deal with. Very personable, and informative. We truly enjoyed out time spent with him. He was working under extreme heat conditions as the air conditioning in his office was not working, but still kept a great sense of humor. Also, the computer tools he had to work with are antiquated, but that didn't prevent him from accomodating us.The staff all appeared friendly and to actually enjoy working together, which makes for a pleasant customer experience.

i went to george harte nissan with my pre-order for a 2013 altima and a 2008 wrangler as a trade-in. first Kelvin, Sales Manager, low balled the value of my trade-in by over $4000 thinking i was a sucker (i know the value of my jeep). i walked out of the dealership. the next day i recieved a phone call evaluating how my experience was at george harte nissan and i told them about the offer i recieved for my jeep and how insulted i was. within an hour Kelvin calls me and asked me if i can come back to talk about my trade-in again. this time Kelvin offered a price that was almost fair. if my wife and i were not so interested in the new altima i still would have not considered it. reluctantly i accepted the offer and put a down payment on the altima. now the worst part of all of this is Kevin's behavior. This man is extremely rude and pushy, he will interupt and speak over you constantly. when you do get a moment to speak he walks away. there was one moment that my wife and i were asked to wait at one of the tables in their showroom, after a couple of minutes my wife looked over and saw Mr. Kelvin standing outside next to a cupcake truck eating a cupcake while we are still waiting inside. That evening my wife and i talk about our experience at george harte and how disgusted we were with the down right rude and disrespectful behavior of Kelvin and we decided that this dealership does not deserve our buisness and we would cancel the order and go to a different dealer. george harte has to this point provided no service for us so we were entitled to a refund of our deposit. when we called george harte to cancel the order Kelvin answered the phone and i told him to cancel the order, refund my deposit and release my pre-order for the 2013 altima that i am interested in (the pre-order cost $50 online). he asked why and i told him how we did not appriciate the type of treatment my wife and i recieved from him. WOW! did that bring out some true colors in Kelvin. after that i could not get 2 words in. anytime i tried to say anything at all Kelvin would just interupt and talk over everything i tried to say. he said that he would not sign off on the refund of my depost, that i am entitled to, and hung up on me. if i hung up on a customer at my job i would not have a job to go back to. next, my wife and i contacted the better buisness bureau. a couple of days later we recieved phone calls of apologie from other people at george harte not Kelvin (i guess he doesnt do apologies) and we recieved our deposit back, all we were waiting for now was for george harte to release the pre-order of our altima so i can go to another dealership. after about 2 weeks of waiting i got an email that my pre-order was canceled. Kelvin and george harte cancelled my order without my permission to spite me for contacting the BBB. fortunately we have been in contact with nissan corporate during this entire proccess along with another dealer that has been very good to me and my wife. Fortunately nissan corporate has reinstated my pre-order and hopefully are doing something about the way george harte and their managers treat people. my recomendation - AVOID GEORGE HARTE NISSAN AS IF IT WAS THE PLAGUE !!! if you enjoy being treated like something that you would find on the bottom of your shoe at a dog park, go see Kelvin - Sales Manager. This con-artist has no problem telling you to "be a man", but he himself cant "man up" when he knows he has done wrong. This dealership will try to screw you over at every turn and encourages their managers to do so.

Carl was very friendly and I had an enjoyable experience while looking for and purchasing a car. He assisted me with everything from looking at different models to comparing prices to a test drive. He was also very helpful in showing me all the "gadgets" the car had to offer and where they all were located. Everyone at the dealership was very accomodating and friendly. I have already given out cards to my friends and family in order for them to consider coming to this dealership to purchase a car.

It was a busy day at the dealership, but Justin and his supervisor (I can't remember his name) were so helpful. We didn't want to spend a lot of time looking at cars, and they didn't try to talk us into something we did not want. We knew what we wanted, told them so, and they moved so efficiently to get it for us. We had our 2 children with us, and they were so kind and generous to the children as we moved through the buying process. We test drove our car, discussed financing, and did everything we could (the vehicle was at another dealership and would be delivered the following Monday) in well under 2 hours. We are delighted to have the free maintenance for a year, and my daughter and I will certainly take advantage of the Thursday or Saturday manicures! My husband and I say thank you to all of the people we worked with at George Harte, for a quick, painless, easy car-buying experience.

One of the best overall car buying experiences. No high pressure to buy a vehicle we did not want or to purchase anything extra we did not want. I got a fair price for our trade in and got a fair price for the new car. Kent was very pleasant, personable and respectful. He was also very knowledgeable about he vehicle I was purchasing and explained and demonstrated all the features very clearly. The day I was at George Harte seems to have been a very busy day, but I never felt rushed into making a decision.This is the second vehicle I have purchased from George Harte Nissan. The main reason for returning to George Harte was the service department. It is by far the best service department of any dealership we have ever dealt with. Most of my contact over the past several years has been with Dave Fagnani and he has become more of a freind than just someone who takes your keys when you drop off your vehicle. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything in detail, never trying to force me into service I didn't really need or explaining why something really needs to be taken care of immediately or if it can wait until the next service interval. I would highly recommend George Harte Nissan to anyone who is thinking of buying a new car and when it is time for a new car again, I will be back to George Harte.

Definitley the best dealership I have ever been to which is why I am on my second Nissan from there and it's the only dealership I now go to. I tell everyone how great that place is. I even told my Facebook friends so I hope you get even more business. They treated me like a queen from the moment i stepped in there. I was greeted politely, they offered me a soda, coffee or water each time I arrived. They even noticed I had a different hair stair from the day I looked at cars to the day I signed the final paperwork which was amazing. They were very kind but didn't seem fake at all. They were genuine. Being a single mom and going in there alone I was nervous at first but they were fair, were honest and are definitely a woman friendly environment. You have a customer for life. Even the repair people are wonderful. I had my last car serviced there and always had a great experience. And while I was purchasing my car I ran into friends I know looking at cars there (also repeat customers) as well and they too made a purchase so that speaks volumes that people keep coming back. If you ever need a spokesperson for a write up or commercials I would be happy to as I want the world to know what a wonderful, honest, warm and friendly dealership you run. Keep up the good work. My hats off to you all on a job well done. The cars are great but I keep coming back because of the customer service I receive. That's what separates you from other dealerships. I am actually looking forward to my first oil change so I can go back and say hello and tell them in person just how happy I am with the car. Thank you

My experience started with online contact with Tony. He provided a price and we also spoke on the phone to arrange a visit. I had several quotes from other dealerships closer to where I live but the Harte quote was the best. My current vehicle was not in peak working condition. A purchase order was written up that day with an estimated trade in value. A loaner was provided for the weekend til I could get my trade in to their dealership. Everything went smoothly and the all people I was involved with were professional, courteous and flexible. I will remember this car buying experience as pleasant and Omar will always remember it because it was his first sale. Good luck Omar and may many more sales be in your future.

Carl was easy to talk to and explained processes and procedures in way that was simple and easy to understand. When I picked up my new truck, he took the time to explain all the features it had and even set up my blue tooth for me. I will be back in the summer to get another new truck for my boyfriend, and I will make my appointment with Carl again. Kevlin was an eager Sales Manager who definitely showed he wanted to make the purchase work for me. He does tend to talk too fast, and I believe this is a selling tactic he uses to push his sales. I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to pay, and it seemed like no matter how many times I explained my requirements to him he could not make the numbers work right away. He would miss a small detail (i.e. I only want 60 months for my term, not 61 or 69, 60!). He worked too fast to show me the "Monthly Payment". I did not care about the payement in respect to what I could afford. I can afford a lot more than what I am paying, but I did not want more than a 60 month term. By adding even just a few months, the end cost would have exceeded what I was willing to pay. So Kevlin is a great Sales Manager and did manage to make my terms work in the end, but he needs to slow down and LISTEN to the customer. He will be able to make better and faster offers, and spend less time with each customer, allowing more time with other customers.

The George Heart Nissan in West Haven guys are GREAT! I could not have asked for better people to work with. They walked me through every step of the process from picking out a car to fit my needs all the way through the end in filling out the paper work and signing off on everything. I had so many questions along the way and was so nervous about leasing but Justin and Leeland were so helpful in taking the time to explain everything to me so I felt completely comfortable through the process and in the end. The guys in the lobby too were so nice and offered me refreshments and made sure I was as comfortable as possible while I waited for my car to be cleaned before I drove it off the lot. The car smelt brand new and was sparkly clean when I got it to take home. Justin then put on my new plates and walked me through all the fancy features of my new car and asked me if I had any questions before letting me drive away. I was 110% satisfied with my service and all these guys did for me I recommended them to two of my coworkers who are interested in getting new cars as well. I will go back and deal with them every time as I plan to get my car worked on at the dealership if things do go wrong. Justin has a lot of patience and is great even today when I call and ask him questions about my car he answers them with out attitude and I appreciate him so much!THANKS GUYS!! I owe you!

Thanks to Alex I bought my first new car. He was determined to put a smile on my face, at first I left and sad I was. I went across the street to eat and Alex came across the street, as I sat there almost in tears he convinced me to look at another car. Alex ran back and forth from the pizza shop . I finally went back since he was so persistent and what do you know I left their we my brand new 2012 Nissan rogue... :-)))) Leland worked magic on the phone to get me my loan and Luis showed me how to work every button in my new car. luis rivera was great. before this dealer we went to the nissan dealership in north haven was the worst experience ever we stood outside for 30-40 minutes and no one came out to help them we went inside and no one even acknowlege us.. they were all in a room watching tv. i left the dealer and then called and filed a complaint so we ended up here.. it was my birthday not even 2 minutes after we pulled up outside luis came out to greet us.. he answered all my questions, explained everything to me .. i am very happy with my purchase thanks to luis i walked away with a nice birthday gift..

Why? We finally found a good car that we can step up into rather than down and that makes a difference at our age. One of your sales person phoned us and told us he just received a new car and we went to your dealership to look at it and we bought that car which we have been very pleased with. Karen is a very good sales person, but we have not heard from her since. Kelvin, Leland and Carl (in service) were exceptional

I was impressed with the 2 sales people that I worked with. I was given a bottom line price without haggling. It was a good experience overall.

The sales guy was very nice. Spent necessary time with me. Wasn't too aggressive. But when I decided I didn't want to buy the vehicle & requested a refund the business manager began searching for other vehicles WITHOUT asking me first. That made me feel pushed. They pretty much forced me to go over to their other lot and look at another vehicle.

I found all of the staff at George Harte Nissan to be friendly and sincere. Kelvin was very welcoming. Walter was very attentive to me in the selection process of my new car to insure that the car and purchase option, buy or lease, best met my lifestyle. Igor was very helpful in working with me on finacing as well as presenting warranty optins that would best suit me and my plans for my car.

Got a very good deal on an excellent car. Come prepared and the sales staff will work with you. Be honest about your needs and considerate of theirs and you can get a great deal. The staff is warm and friendly.

Everyone was more than helpful, extremely pleasant, and patient. No pressure. Relative living in another state was welcome and included in the sale via phone and email contact. At one point thought I had lost one of the two keys that comes with the car--was offered a replacement( very kind and thoughtful).

I'm happy and very satisfy with the way the sale's personwas sincere and prompt with my questions, so helpful, justcouldn't ask more, this company diffidently will get my business for years to come. I owned a 2006 Sentra RVspec. and it was a great car but i decided to up grade to a 2012 Sentra SpecialEdition more economical kind of car and runs great.

Salesman Rudy Lee and sales manager Kelvin Davis were very attentive, knowlegable and helpful in ansering questions asked by my wife and me. A few days after we took the car home I could no longer open the trunk.I returned to the dealership and as I drove into the parking lot Rudy and Kelvin both came out to greet me and asked if every thing was alright. I had forgoten Rudy had explained about the trunk lock switch in the glove compartment. Of course I had not fully read the owners manual.I give both Rudy and Kelvin a 5+ {great+}Thank you, Carl Bonci

The staff was exceptionally friendly and more than accommodating to both our personal, financial and automotive needs. They seemed to genuinely care, and took great steps in meeting our needs. By far the easiest and best dealer i've worked with. I would recommend them to both family and friend and hope to do business with them in the future.

Although my last 3 new cars have been Nissan's, this is my first purchase from George Harte and it won't be my last! My saleman, Kent Kuzmech was polite and very knowlegable about the Altima's, without being overly aggressive. The entire process was handled very professionally and in a very welcoming and friendly manner. I have and will continue to recommend people who are interested in purchasing a Nissan to George Harte!

I had contacted a more local Nissan dealer and was not received very well. It was as if they didn't care at all. From the 1st contact on internet to my driving away in a new Nissan Frontier I was treated like not only a customer, but also a friend by the staff at George Harte Nissan.Ron East

My experience was horrible. I had received a $500 coupon in the mail from them stating that it was good towards the 1st months car payment. Once we began negotiating the price, the salesman quickly took the coupon and took it into his office. When I asked later about the coupon, I was told that it was no good. My husband is a strong negotiator and after going back and forth for over two days, we agreed on a price. When I went to pick up the vehicle, they only gave me one key. They told me that they only had one key. I saw one of the mechanics actually come out and move the vehicle from the back after my salesman had given me my key. I was naive and thought that maybe they had a master key. They had me sign a document stating that we were taking the car in good condition and that we would not ask for anything else. When I got the car home, my husband noticed that they had replaced the tires that were originally on the car for the test drive with tires that were bald. (We took the car home overnight for the test drive). After we got the car home, we drove for a couple of hours and noticed there was a horrible rotton egg smell that wouldn't go away. I later found out that there was a hole in one of the pipes underneath the car that was contibuting to the odor. When we test drove the car, this odor was not there. Also, after the first rain, the car leaked. we later discovered that the moulding around the front window had been tampered with and this was contributing towards the leak. Soon after that the battery died, and there is a list of other problems that another Nissan dealership gave me after checking out the car. I believe that the George Harte Nissan organization tampered with the vehicle after my husband and I made the final offer and before I picked up the vehicle. I have no proof of this, but I know that when we test drove the car, remember we took it home overnight, these problems did not exist. I WOULDN'T TRUST THESE GUYS IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT.

Maybe if they spent less time drinking Sake at the Sushi bar next door, and more time improving customer experiences, I could buy from there, but probably not...

Negotiated a price for a 2011 Juke -told vehicle was in stock,made a deposit - despite hearing Fowler tell me he was contacting my insurance agent to get insurance card set for me to pick up the vehicle,over several days and several calls,learned a week later dealer never had the vehicle. Davis continued the ruse by perpetuating that the vehicle they were expecting was first delayed and then never received. Only Mercier was straight with me a full week later and fessed up that there was no vehicle and would not be one prior to February. Mercier promised to refund the deposit on Jan 8th. This is the 18th and the refunds promised 10 days ago,still not processed. Many promises, many lies,most often the representative fast talks over the customer. Will NOT do business with them!

We answered an Internet ad for a used white 2009 Murano, exactly what my wife had been looking for almost a year. A Sales Consultant called back and indicated that we probably could make the deal proposed in our email. So, we drove the 50 miles to W. Haven. We were not dissapointed. The car was as advertised. Stew was very helpful. He was very forthright with us and answered all our questions. We also feel he made every effort to get us a cargo cover for the vehicle, apparently an optional item now. We made the deal and left with a positive feeling. We had never been into New Haven, so we took the opportunity, and drove downtown. We walked the Green and Yale campus, and ended up in one of those little restaurants.When we picked up the vehicle, the two items in question were addressed, and it was cleaned and polished.

Bumper to bumper warranty items that should have been covered were not. Was quoted a repair price of over $2,000. Had the work done elsewhere, a mechanic I have used for many years and does excellent work, for $600. This was not the first time that I was denied coverage. They do a very good job of selling the extended warranty and a terrible job of honoring it.

I have nothing but positives to say about this dealership. From the moment I walked through the door, everyone was extremely friendly and very professional. No hype or pressure. They were able to lease me a new car at a great price! I was leaving on vacation so I really needed my new car ASAP. Justin had my car ready when promised and all I had to do was sign. I would definitely recommend George Harte Nissan to any of my family or friends!!

I had a problem with my new Altima. It started stalling, they bent over backwards to help me. They even took a part out of a new car. They have a friendly staff and really care about your needs. I was nervous and I figured I was going to be without my car for a while but they really stepped up!! I am very thankful they are my dealer.

my car was brought it for service. It is a month old with a little more than 1000 miles and it was in perfect cosmetic condition. When I left, there was a dent on the hood surrounded by grease. Mr Buckholtz refused to acknowledge that the dent was caused by the service department, even though presented with the grease evidence right after the service was performed. For a $400 repair, he let a customer go who won't return and who will file formal complaints with the better business bureau, the consumer protection agency and with Nissan Corporation. Really bad business decision. Maybe it was because he was dealing with a woman and has a deeply instilled sexist attitude? If this is the pevailing attitude of the management of George Harte Nissan, then they will lose more than just my business. I am a 49 year old professional woman who will use every means at my disposal to warn others that they must take pictures of their automobile before and after service if they expect their damaged vehicles to be repaired by the offending party in the service department. While Mr Buckholtz thought he was saving his dealership some money by denying the obvious damage, surrounded with grease from the hand of a service tech, he forgot that good business means treating all clientele with dignity and respect, even women.

We gave a $1000 deposite on a new Versa that my daughter was going to purchase when home from school in Easter. We we went with her to purchase the car we were told they had sold the car we had contracted to buy from them to someone else and were going to substitute an equal value car. When asked for window stickers from both cars so we might compare (wary of the old bait and switch trick)we were told it was impossible since the 1st car was already delivered and they had no copy. Then we were told that the car was going to be $500 dollars more than agreed upon unless we financed the car (the deal when agreed on was for a cash sale) At this point we left and went to another dealer where we were treated much better and purchased a car from them. When we returned to George Harteless the sales manager refused to refund our deposit (after keeping us waiting for 45 minutes just to say no)even though they no longer even had the car we had agreed to purchase. The matter is now in the hands of the CT States Attorney General's office and Motor Vehicle dept with whom we have filed formal complaintsI have spent 15 years working at new car dealers and have never encountered such an unprofessional bunch of hoodlums in my life.

My 2007 Nissan Altima went into "fail safe" mode on a Friday. The car had only 5,000 miles on it. On Saturday, the car was still stuck in this mode and was un-drivable. The sales manager said there was no way for me to reset the car out of this mode and I would have to get it towed to the dealer so they can see why it is stuck. He went on to say if there is nothing wrong with the car I would be responsible for the tow. I replied that the car was stuck in Failsafe and there must be something wrong and he agreed. I then asked him if there was any way I could reset it myself. I asked if there was any procedure on my end that I could follow to try and reset it. I even suggested hard resetting the car by unhooking the battery. The service manager said this was not advisable and there was no way for me to reset it. I called the tow company that he suggested (the only one that the dealer works with) and they were not open. On Monday, the car still would not run so I called the tow truck to bring it to the dealership. A few hours after they called me and said there was nothing wrong with the car and that they could not re-create the problem. They also said that I would now have to pay $140 for the tow. I live only about 15 miles from the dealership and an average tow in my area should only be about $75, but that's not even the problem. The dealer refused to acknowledge that the car had a problem and said my only recourse was to contact Nissan USA. I spoke to a person there and after 2 weeks of faxing, calling and waiting he also refused to reimburse me for the tow. The Nissan USA rep on his first call said the dealer absolutely did not do any diagnostic work or it would show up in his system. He said they simply started the car and it was fine. When I actually got the invoice for the repair in my hands, it showed clearly that the first thing they did was hook it up to the computer. This, my guess, is when they reset the failsafe mode and then drove the car. Neither the dealership or the rep from Nissan USA is willing to admit that the car was in fact, stuck in this failsafe mode and I refuse to believe it just magically repaired itself on the tow ride to the dealership. Funny thing is, after getting the car back my wife and I scoured the owners manual and found that the failsafe mode can be reset simply by turning the car off for 10 seconds and then back on again. Why didn't the sales manager provide that information to me before suggesting I call for such an expensive tow??? Something is very fishy here and if you need warranty work done on your Nissan, bring it anywhere but George Harte.

I always hesitate going to a dealership for service. Unfortunately, as my car was delivered to me without the key to my wheel locks and I needed new brakes, I was required to go to the dealership. Since I had received a 10% discount postcard in the mail, I thought at least I wouldn't be paying full price for the service. The people were courteous enough and so far I have no complaints about the work that was done. My aggravation is due to being told I could not use the discount because I had not presented it PRIOR to the work that was done. Now, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that you shouldn't have to present it in advance. After all, anyone who charges unpublished prices for their service can automatically jack up the prices to cover the discount if they know you have a coupon!!! It's a little outrageous to not be willing to honor a discount coupon at ANY POINT IT IS PRESENTED! I was told to present it next time I had work done. That's fine, but I wanted to do it now to discount the $450 bill I had to pay. Not next time when I have to pay $100. I'd prefer to have the $45 back, not $10.I didn't trust dealerships before... and I still don't trust them.

They are unfriendly and incompetent. I have a new Murano and have had two recalls and my gas gauge does not work. I also have a dash board that stays on. I dropped my car off on Saturday for the problem that was already discussed and an hour later they called and said they could not fix it that day. When I went to get the car Dave told me they could not do this type of service on a Saturday and that they have a shuttle during the week but could only drop me off at work not ny son at school.

Back in 2001 I went to this dealer and instantly fell in love with this 97 silver Nissan Altima. It had everything I wanted. But somehow the sales person got me to buy this floor model 98 Nissan tan (yuck) maxima. He refused to show me the car I was interested in or any other car for that matter. He made it seem as though that was the only car. And to top it off he didn't do a test drive with us. He was really desperate to get rid of this car. Price tag said 15,999, I told the guy we could not afford more then 350 per month becuase of the insurance. He said fine but the first two payments would be 450 and then it would be lower. I agreed to put the first payment down of 500 and he said that the next payment would be 450 and after that 350 per month. Guess what 4 years later and its still 450! And since I cant afford 450 I cant afford to pay insurance so I cant drive the car. Its been parked in my drive way for a few months now and I have to get a ride from my mom to go to work! I got stuck paying 450 for 5 years, which will come out to roughly 27,000 dollars. Thats what like.. 60% interest? On top of that I later found some scratches all over the back of the car seats and on the roof of the car (my guess is that the other previous owner had a dog) also the cigarette lighter came out when I tried to use it the first time. And I later noticed cigarette burns on the interior driver side of the car (looks like the guy was a smoker too) now.. remember that silver Nissan? It had a CD player in the front. That's what I really wanted. He said no problem we will install one. When I got the car, they drilled a hole where the CD player was supposed to be and had this flimsy wired remote coming out of it that ran to the CD changer in the trunk... IN THE TRUNK! Plus the remote wasn't mounted or anything, it was just hanging there! It was partly my fault for taking my dad (who buys the first thing suggested to him) to co-sign.. but he totally took advantage of us. Plus they added some servise plan to the car without telling us(which cost $500) and they never once called us for maintenance. On top of that the next day I went to the movies and when I was getting ready to leave the stupid car wouldn't start. I looked under the hood and then found that the battery was old and corroded. The car was garbage if they actually certefied or even looked at the car before we took it theres no way that battery would have been like that! I dont know how they are now but I will never go back to that dealership and I will never recommend these people! And if you go there anyway at least stay away from Ronald Federico he is a con artist. I hate Harte Nissan! And they are lucky I didn't sue them for lying about the payments!<br><br>PS sorry its this review is so long but I dont want this to happen to anyone else! By the way did anyone notice that the two good reviews are pending verification?... I wonder why :/

by far the easist vehicle purchase I have ever made!! The atomsphere was fun, exciting and everybody was great to work with and looked out for my interest and not theirs. I visited other Nissan dealerships locally like executive that where pushy and down talked George Harte, which I found to be very rude and bad why of trying to sell a product, you never should down grade a comptetior like that. I would definanly recommend them to anyone including my own grandmother. thanks ghn!! :-)

Went into pickup the car and after they told us to load our personal items into it, when we went to sign the papers, only then did they tell us the pmts per month were $100/mo. higher - they could and should have told us in advance. Also, took another Nissan there for major 100,000 mile servicing and got it back barely driveable because the wheels were so far out of alignment. Took it somewhere else to get the wheels realigned. Be careful if you go there, and only negotiate over phone about pricing after getting a price from carsdirect.com.
