Ronnie was excellent to work with and the whole team at Friendly Chevrolet. The process was quick and seamless. Loved how they told you what banks they were running your credit with, and how they didn't run your credit more than needed. The process was seamless and I also love the warranty's they offer. We also bought a certified vehicle and we noticed a few paint chips in the vehicle and the tunnel cover of the truck wasn't latching. They had me come in and they fixed it for free. Highly recommend buying a vehicle from this place.

I brought my 2014 Equinox in on a Monday morning because it was acting funny. Within a few hours, the service dept realized my engine was bad. They coordinated with Dion Kennedy to let him know what was happening without me having to make that call myself and fumble with the terms and information. Dion had a list of options for me within a few hours. Dion worked with my budget, needs, and my preferences and had found the right vehicle for me that evening. The Finance person was easy to understand and put together the perfect warranty package for me and I got a great rate. Dion made sure my New to Me 2018 Equinox was double checked and spotless when I picked it up a few days later. It truly was the easiest vehicle purchase I have had. I will refer Dion to anyone needing a new vehicle, he is truly the best!

Looked around the dealership on July 4 and sent a message through the website with which vehicles I was interested in. I was surprised when I received an email right away on July 5 (I figured the dealership would be closed) from Dion Kennedy. Quickly called him back to see if I could look at the vehicles I emailed about. Promptly went to the dealership and he had the car ready for me to test drive. Ended up buying a vehicle that day from Dion who was super friendly and amazingly helpful. We ended up buying two vehicles that day from him. It was a long process but Dion and the rest of the staff at Friendly Chevrolet were great. I probably drank 90% of the free little bottles of water they had in the cooler. Great experience all around.

I'm from out of state, and live 4 hours away from friendly Chevrolet - and I would go back in a heartbeat. Dustin was great through the entire buying process, and answered all my questions promptly and thoroughly. In addition - Jeremy the finance guy - is as professional as they come. Once again he answered all the questions I had, and explained all of my options in regards to payments, warranties, etc. Both of these gentlemen made my purchase quick and painless. There was never a time where I felt 'pushed' or 'sales pitched to.' There's only 1 downfall / complaint that I have ---and that is that they are 4 hours away! I wish they had locations in wisconsin! Once again - I'm super pleased with my purchase and could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Dustin and Jeremy!

I have purchased a number of vehicles from Friendly Chev and will probably go there again. They are fair with trade-ins and their no-haggle approach takes the worry out of feeling like you didn't get a good deal. For a really professional low pressure sales guy I would recommend Dion Kennedy...I'm sure all of their staff is good but Dion is the best I have ever worked with.

I bought a 30' travel trailer (5400 lbs) that I expected my 2011 Silverado with 5.3 to pull, it did not do well, not enough oomph. Friendly Chev allowed me to bring travel trailer with me and hook it up to various trucks I was interested in. Awesome and critical in me buying a new truck from them. Very happy with my 2016 Silverado 5.3 with max towing package. Does a great job pulling my camper and is extremely quiet. Love it.

I went for an oil change on my Chevy Equinox, and while waiting in line I walked through the used cars, semi-shopping, semi-just looking.Here's where the younger Sales Reps could learn a thing from the older more experienced Sales Menlike Tom Bertsch, the young guys stopped said good morning and if I needed any help?and I said just looking and they moved on..Tom came out, ask if I needed help, and I said no, just looking, but he engaged me in conversation.we just talked weather, cars, and finally I asked about the Chevy Volt they had on the website, because I didn't see it on the lot. Tom found it on the showroom floor, sat in it, and because of my height I don't fit... but he said, check out the Chevy Cruze,They had two up front, I sat in the one, he said lets go for a test ride,came back, he told me I could take it for a longer ride. which I did.. . Came back, told him I'd take it, but need to bring in my trade in..Brought my trade in for them to look at Tom explained they do an "interactive" eval, when you ride with the person who decides on a price.I got what I would consider a fair price for a 9yr old SUV with over 120,000 miles on it.we made the deal, and 5 days later, still no buyers remorse.. of course Friendly Chev has a awesome return policy if I did.. not only will be back for oil changes, next time I need a car, Friendly Chev will be my first stop.If I had one negative to say, it would be, Buying a certified car, I would expect the air filter and cabin air filter to be changed, they did have a fresh oil change in it, but the air filters should have been done also. but it's a minor detail..

Zack Boyd was very helpful. He listened to us and what we wanted and helped us get into a great vehicle with a great deal. We didn't feel pressured at all and we all on the same page that if it didn't work financially for us, then it didn't work. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and showed us how to use and set up the features. He even called us a couple times to make sure everything was ok and asked if we had any questions. Will definitely go back to him if we decide to purchase another vehicle.

The financial staff did a great job in finding an extremely low interest rate and thoroughly explaining the options and advantages of purchasing an extended warranty. I was offered an very fair allowance on my trade in. I was in and out of the dealership in 3.5 hours and am thoroughly satisfied.

Ronnie Clark contacted me about my upcoming lease expiration and explain all of the options I had regarding turning in my vehicle. He was a delight to work with as was the entire Fridley Chev Family. I spoke with several people from sales to financing at this dealership. The entire staff is friendly, personable and were very enjoyable to work with. The most important thing to all of them was that I felt comfortable with the process and they wanted to make sure I understood everything. I can't count the number of times I was offered something to drink or a candy bar from Ronnie, he has a sweet tooth and 3 adorable kids. STOP!!!Beyond my buying experience, this place has been one disappointment after another. I have been mislead a service manager, lied to by techs and managers and treated as if I was an inconvenience on more than on occasion. I have been sold a bad battery. Denied discounts that are from their website. I am generally loyal in these types of rerlationships and started out that way. Now, I will NEVER bring my car back there. The straw was today. My last oil change was at Friendly (after nearly 20,000 miles of getting them elsewhere). I stayed away because I had a problem with them before... with a simple oil change. My car is coming up on 4k miles after the oil change. The oil change message has been up for about 400 miles. I get the dexos oil (good for 6,000 but they put 5,000 on the sticker). When I brought my car in. The service guys there had an argument about whether my car was supposed to get conventional or synthetic oil. One guy insisted that I get the conventional oil. That oil would burn at about the rate that would put me at the need. This made me even more suspicious of me getting the wrong oil. A concern that I had made clear to the manager that I talked to earlier in the day. Instead of trying to figure that out, or just pop my hood and see which oil I had, they immediately tried to push a software update that was "probably needed", but would cost me $95.

I recently attempted to purchase a new Pick up. After Blake helped me find the Truck that fit my needs. We sat down to start putting together a deal. I was disappointed in the value that came back on my trade. Yes it was an old truck with high miles but the trade was need for the down payment. I was most frustrated with Dan and his unwillingness to deal. With the trade not resolved Eric from finance started getting information on putting together a finance package. All the while a final deal was not settled.My wife and I at this point had been at the dealer for 2 hour already. Feeling pressured and frustrated my wife and I were done. A 40,000 Deal was lost because Dan would not increase the trade value by 500 bucks. The trade and 4 other vehicle had all been purchased there. I started my search there for that reason. I have since purchased my new truck at Rosedale Cheverlet because of there willingness to listen and put together a deal I was happy with. I will remember my Experience for future vehicle purchases.

He showed me every option, while remaining true to what i was asking for & never pushing me out of my comfort zone on price. Brent worked extremely hard to, not only clean up the financial MESS a different dealer put me in, but lower the original interest rate and payment plan offered. This team put in HARD work for 4 days to get me a great deal on my brand new Chevy Cruze. Every curve ball we had, they flawlessly had a answer & solution for me, without ever making me feel pushed or pulled in any direction. Friendly Chev will forever have my business, as well as referring my family, friends & coworkers. The CRV I had for only 70 days was totaled. I had to find a new vehicle quickly. Having to make a major purchase under this circumstance really put me out of my comfort zone. Enter sales person Mike Dunham. I went to dealer with a Sonic hatchback in mind. Mike was patient, accommodating and knowledgeable. I had so much fun working with him that he turned the bad situation into a good one. The finance person, Brent, was also awesome. I can't tell you enough how different this experience was from the one I recently had at Hopkins Honda. The people at Friendly Chevrolet really had a different objective. They cared about me and not the sale! The interaction with Brent during financing was so totally different from my prior experience that it cinched the deal for me. I absolutely love my Sonic Hatchback LTZ and I can't recommend this dealer enough.

Onstar notified Friendly Chevrolet of a serious problem with my vehicle's engine. The service representative called me and I made an appointment. They did a wonderful job in restoring my car's engine to its former glory. I found out that if I had not followed up and made the appointment and continued to drive the car, I was looking at likely needing a whole new engine. The mechanic who worked on the car was especially helpful. She kept me of posted of all the latest developments.

We traded in our van and bought a brand new impala and thought we got a good deal on everything until we see the mark up on the van is almost twice what they offered us. Overall Blake Allen was great in doing what he needed to get our questions answered and put us in the correct vehicle. So I am happy with our vehicle but just would advise others to really stick hard to a trade in amount and not feel a little regret at the end of the day!

We told Mike that we were interested leasing a new Equinox and he showed us all the best deals including a great two year lease that another Chevrolet dealership had not bothered to mention to us. He had not one but two cars brought up for us to look at. We were allowed to take one for a test drive on our own without anyone riding along. The deal was great and they had a large selection and we decided to lease one. The used car evaluator went for a quick ride in my car and offered me a very fair price for it upfront. No need to haggle to get a good price for an old car. Then Brent did the finance and warranty part of the deal. He took the time to make sure I understood all the warranty and finance options. Once I was done with all the paperwork Mike took me out to my new car and showed me how to use all the things on my car. He even offered to sync my phone to the car and show me how to use those functions but I told him I was familiar with those things and could handle it myself. Friendly Chevrolet and the people who work here is now our favorite Chevrolet dealership as they seem to be excellent in all respects.

It started at the door when I arrived and JB greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I told him I was there to see Jake and he took me right to him. Jake remembered my emails from a couple of days before and asked if I wanted to see the car I had inquired about and explained all the discounts/rebates/specials I qualified for. Giving Updates about the vehicle being repaired during overnight work lacks. My Truck was dropped off on a Thursday at 630p, I was given an update at 915p that same night, then didn't hear from anyone until it was done being worked on Monday around 6p. I attempted to call someone on Sunday, was told I would receive a call back right away once when they found my paperwork, but I never received that call either. Luckily I planned ahead and scheduled a loaner vehicle or I would have not been able to get to work during that time span.

The entire staff was excellent! I was disappointed though with the product(2014 Equinox) with less than 22,000 miles. I understand that these things happen, but, I know of 5 instances of this particular part failing. I would hope that Chevrolet would correct the problem!

All went well timing wise. I am not sure if the body repair service man ever looked at the rear bumper as I requested. No notation was made and I didn't see any change in the condition of the side panel. Also, I am missing my front floor mat on the driver's side. I called the service number and after it ran 10-15 times it rolled into a voicemail for Cory.I left a message and still have not heard back . I hope they find my floor mat soon and call me back like I requested.Other than those two issues, the rest was okay as far as I can tell.

Your service writer, Kerri Coons (spelling?), always does an excellent job communicating and ensuring I receive top notch service. She does not try to oversell and takes the time to explain the service when I have questions. Most recently, I had a faulty power steering pump in a 2012 Traverse that was just past the standard warranty. I explained my frustration with having to pay for a major repair cost on a part that should last longer than a few days past warranty (3 yrs and low mileage). She worked with Chevrolet and managed to get 90% of the replacement cost covered under warranty anyway. She and the technician also identified that a previous recall repair from another dealership was performed incorrectly and was incomplete causing an air bag warning light that I reported. This too was repaired under the recall as it should have been in the first place. Kerri and the rest of your team provide exceptional customer experience and do the right thing, which is hard to find anymore.

I baught a used SUV in June of 2015. WIthin 2 days I had problems with the locks. I took it back and no questions asked they fixed it. Sounds good right? No it took over 3 weeks to fix. Plus now the doors and inner panels rattle when you drive it. A couple months later I got a flat tire. When I went to change it there was no jack or torch wrench. Now I find out there is several recalls on this vehicle that did not get attention while the SUV was with them. These things should all have been taken care of before the resale of the SUV. The only good thing I can say is the sales man was not pushy or give a ton of sales pitches. He was just a nice guy trying to be helpful. I will repost when recall issues get fixed either by them or someone else.

Monday - Contacted dealer regarding Corvette they had for sale. I had 2 cars to trade, and since I live 60 miles from dealership, I sent photos of both cars via email so they could give me some idea of their trade valueTuesday - emailed to confirm that they had received my information and sent VIN#s as requestedWednesday - No contact from dealer, so I called to see if car was still for sale and if so, to arrange for test drive. Left voicemail - no response. Left work and drove an hour to dealership. The car was still for sale, and I took it for a test drive. Afterwards, met with salesperson and manager to discuss terms. Manager said he needed a day to value my trades, and that he would be out of the office on Thursday, but would contact me on FridayThursday - no contactFriday - NO CONTACTSaturday - no contact - so I waited until early afternoon and then emailed the manager and asked about the status of our "deal". He responded by telling me THE CAR HAD BEEN SOLD ON FRIDAY MORNING! How does that happen?Worst experience ever with a car dealership.

This dealership was a complete letdown. My purchase was coupled with a string of broken promises, substandard work, and no professionalism! Buyers beware that they will lure you in with a great price but then tell you that the vehicle you want has sold. Then they will offer you the same vehicle but for a more expensive price. The service department is even worse, they cannot install mud flaps correctly, and don't even know how wash a vehicle, or how to put windshield washer fluid in!! Worst of all.....they are more concerned about getting a great survey review from you than actually taking care of YOUR concerns!!!! I will NEVER return to this dealership. They managed to take my dream of buying a new vehicle and turn it into a nightmare!!

Great Service. My car was towed in on Thursday with a bad transmission with out having an appointment and all the repair work was completed in two days. Mark the service advisor and mechanics went above and beyond recognizing additional necessary repairs such as a leaking power steering line, rear right hub and oil cooler lines that were also completed under my extended warranty. The vehicle rides like it just came off a show room floor. Not like a vehicle with 73,000 plus miles on it. Can not say enough good thing about Friendly Chevrolet as they truly live up to their name.

Everyone was very friendly which I appreciate. I just wish I was kept in the loop a bit more on the progress of my car. I had it in for an oil change, new tires & to look at an issues with the air-conditioning.. After siting in the waiting room for an hour &half I was given a ride home & told it would be an hour and a half longer.. 2 hrs later I still had not heard back & had to call to check on the progress. At that time I was told they still couldn't pinpoint the issue but thought it was X-- and the part for X was in Eagan (35 min away) and they were going to get it and it MIGHT be ready by 5pm. All in all my car was at the dealership from 8am to 4:30 pm.. and the air conditioning is still broken (blows hot air). I have to bring it back in tomorrow to fix. It's frustrating as it's the 2nd time I've had air conditioning issues with this car in less than a year (and all service has been done by the dealership). Again-- the people were very nice, I just wish I would have been kept more in the loop on how much time things were taking. I did not expect my car to be there all day.

Start to finish -I had a horrible experience. All I needed was to have my gas pedal checked for a condition that should be covered by an extended warranty. I did need to have my gas pedal replace then she was trying to say I have 2 other things wrong with my car. I declined to have these 2 other things that needed to be done and she said I was still on the hook for the $95.00 diagnostic charge. Keri then said her Technician do not work for free. The repair of the recall item was completed timely, the staff was friendly, alert and treated me with respect. The service waiting room was exceptional, clean, comfortable, well lighted and the coffee was hot. This comment more for GM/Chevrolet. I have been a GM customer for more than 45 years. My 2010 Malibu is just 5 years old and the key FOB has gone bad for the second time. I turned down the replacement because of the $177 cost. Why offer on option that wont hold up. If you have a defective part, replace it with a better replacement or extend the warranty on that part. Why risk losing a repeat sale for what most likely cost you less than $30 to start with.

Everyone was very nice. I left my car at 11:10 to have my brake light fixed due to a recall. I also had my oil changed and my car washed. I said I was going to lunch and would be back afterward. They said they would call me when the car was ready. I called Friendly Chev at 2:41 to say I was on my way from St. Paul and asked if my car would be ready. They said it would be close. I arrived there at about 3:15 PM and my car was not ready. I needed to wait about another half hour for my car. Seems to me that maybe my car was not even worked on until I called about it at 2:41 in spite of the fact that I had an 11 AM appointment...

Had a recall on my 2008 Chev Impala took it to Friendly Chev in Fridley MN. The service tech asked me if I wanted my tires rotated for $20.00 I said ok. Well I was having trouble with a sensor in my back driver side tire, when it got cold the exclamation point would show up saying the tire needs air and I would check it manually and it didn't need air. 5 days later got cold and the exclamation point came up gee, on the same tire in the same place driver back tire. I think they took my 20 dollars and did not rotate my tires. Called and left message with Gene Lynch the service manager when he called me back he had to leave a message and he said he would send my money back but wanted to ask me a couple questions. So when I called him back and he answered he didn't ask me any questions, he just wanted to tell me that the tech must have not told the tire it was in a different position. Really what an excuse why would someone who changes tires daily forget to do half the job. I think they did not rotate my tires. I'm also still waiting to receive my 20 bucks.

I went in to Friendly Chevrolet to look at the Chevy Silverado. My salesperson, Chris Levister was very helpful in providing me with information about the new trucks. I questioned him about the Chevy Equinox that was on the showroom floor and the mileage they were getting. While the sticker had one version of mileage, Chris provided me with other numbers. I had no idea there were two options for engines sizes, hence different gas mileage. I explained to him that I was looking at getting a Honda CRV. He went on to explain to me how much I would like the Equinox . He did, however, tell me that they also have locations that carry Honda CRVs as well. Chris suggested I take the Honda for a test drive and then come back and take the Equinox for a test drive. I am happy he suggested I do so. While that was a bold move on his part, I am sure he knew once I tried both, I would see for myself which of the two offered the more comfortable ride. With out a doubt, the ride was much better on the Chev Equinox. I ended up purchasing a 2015 Chev Equinox from Chris. I appreciated Chris's honesty, patience, knowledge, and most of all his "Can Do Attitude". I really felt like he cared about me and wanted me to be happy with my purchase. He convinced me that he would be able to help me stay within my budget and be able to own a brand new 2015 Chevy Equinox. Chris spent numerous hours with me over the course of three days, from showing me trucks and cars, sending me emails with cars and trucks, making sure we had the right car for our need, working the numbers to help us stay within our budget, and finally showing me all the gadgets and capabilities our new car offers. Thank You Chris for caring! I look forward to working with you again within the next week or two. I went in to get a few things done on my car. A couple of recalls, oil change, headlight change and my brakes and rotors changed. I received calls from Anita throughout the day to keep me updated on the progress and about what work needed to be done and quotes for everything.When she called me about my brakes, she quoted me $406.00 for new pads and rotors, she then called me back to ask who told me I needed new brakes and pads. Turns out all I needed was the rotors machined and new pads so my quote went down almost $200.00. It was very reassuring, knowing they really checked out my car and seemed to be looking out for me, the customer, and giving me the exact service I needed and also saving me money. I bought my car there and have always taken it there for service but this was by far the best service I have received there so far. I will continue to bring my car back for any service needs, knowing it and I will be well taken care of.Thank you.

I had to have some recall work as well as other things looked at on my 2013 Traverse. Since I was going to be without a vehicle for at least 1 day they got me into a loaner( which with an infant you kind of need a vehicle) they performed all the work and gave me a call about 2 days later saying my vehicle was done and my out of pocket costs were $0. Which was a surprise to me because I figured it would at least cost something to figure out what else was wrong wit my vehicle. I have always been treated very well whenever I go there and will definitely purchase future vehicles from there.

We narrowed down our choice of cars near our home via the Chevrolet build your own web site and asked for a quote via the internet. A quote was promptly sent and was followed up by a e-mail and a voice mail from Mike Meyer. The voice mail convinced us that we could work with Friendly Chevrolet. It was courteous, professional and like the dealership name, friendly (CPF). I sent Mike an e-mail telling him we would drop by after work the next day. His return e-mail was again CPF. Upon entering the dealership we were immediately welcomed by a young associate. We told him we were looking for Mike and that info was passed to the receptionist. Mike came out to meet us and we were very soon in the Equinox we wanted to see taking a test drive. The SUV was everything we hoped it would be. We did test drive a similar car, a 4 cylinder, and I'm glad we did. It further cemented our choice of the 6 cylinder. Mike explained the dealerships low price policy which made us happy as we didn't want to go through a 2 hour bargaining session. We had priced similar cars over the months and Friendly's price was very fair and in line with what I had planned on paying. We agreed to the price and we were soon in front of the finance person signing the paperwork going over some final options. He too was CPF and we were on our way home. We look forward to coming into the dealership next week to pick up the license plates and talking to Mike again.

Originally went in one afternoon, tech said it would be an hr but it turned into 1 1/2 hrs and still my car was waiting to be serviced. I asked at the desk how long and how long i had been waiting and they were very sorry. i could not wait any longer however and they gave me a return oil change complimentary. I was not angry as I know that happens. When I came back it took about 35 min and everyone was very, very nice!!!

Vehicle was completed within the time-frame quoted to me, even though I had authorized an additional two additional be repaired. My ONLY "complaint" is that everyone is required to listen to TV whether they wish to or not during the wait time. In the past, when I brought my car in for an oil change, the technician would come and talk to me about my car afterwards. He would explain that the level of antifreeze was ok, tires ok, etc. The past couple of times, no one has talked to me. The lady at the counter simply pushed the form in front of me for me to sign. I asked her if everything was ok and she said something like "it looks like it". It would be more comforting, even if the lady said "your car is fine, the antifreeze is good to 30 below" or something like that.

The only complaint I have is when I purchased my vehicle at Friendly Chev, Bill Mayhew (accessory manager) told me that my Pit Stop card was good for life and included wash AND DETAILING. When I stopped-by last Saturday for this I asked for the wheel wells to be cleaned of the red clay and they said detailing was closed and extra $$$!!?? I got the wash, but I then had to go back in and ask for the mats to be vacuumed.

I still have not heard back from either...which is ok as we love the Impala (you snooze you lose!). I purchased a used 2008 GMC Acadia about a month ago. My sales consultant was Isaac P and he was great! I had a few things go wrong with the vehicle in the beginning, and Isaac went above and beyond to resolve them. My first complaint was the cigarette smell the previous owner left behind. Isaac came to my work the following week, picked up the vehicle and returned it oxidized and smelling brand new. They did this free of charge. The next problem I had a week later, was a pesky traction control light that kept coming on. I brought in to the service center on a Monday and worked with Leandro. He was very friendly and kept me always in the loop as to what was going on. Unfortunately the light came on again and again and each time I left thinking it was fixed, it would come back on the next day. I became concerned when after the 3rd time they informed me that they were very busy and would have to wait for 2 weeks before looking at it again. Isaac was able to facilitate and get the vehicle in right away. They found there was a frayed wire and the issue was resolved. My warranty covered the service and Friendly Chev reimbursed me for the deductible. After feeling like things were finally on track with my vehicle, I got to playing with all of the features. I popped in a DVD and to my dismay, it wouldnt read. Of course I was super disappointed because this was one of the big selling features for me. I was under the impression when purchasing the vehicle that the DVD player was functioning and felt that if it was known that it was broken, that should have been disclosed. For this issue I worked with the Mark in the service- accessories department. His customer service was beyond amazing. He got me in right away, got me a loaner vehicle, and fixed the issue (again at no cost to me) and never made me feel like I was a hassle or a bother. He deserves to be recognized for his exceptional customer service and professionalism. After having all sorts of problems with my vehicle not 30 days after purchase I was starting to regret it. It is the amazing staff and outstanding customer service that has made me change my mind. I want to say a huge thank you to Isaac and Mark for going above and beyond for a customer.

On 9/29/14 I spoke with Wally Johnson about a 2010 Ford Ranger that they had for sale and I told him I was very interested in looking at the vehicle. We had several phone conversations and emails. I had a total of four telephone conversations and five emails with this dealer. A live chat with Margie Martin, Sales Manager, on 9/28/14 about the Range and dealer financing. One email with Wally on 9/29/14 and three emails with him on 9/30/14 about the Ranger. I also spoke with him on 9/30/14 and told him I would be up to see the vehicle at 5:30pm on 10/1/14 and he said he would keep that time open for me. At 4:00pm on 10/1/14 I told him I was in St Louis Park and I would be there within twenty minutes. Imagine my surprise after getting to the dealership to find out that the Ranger had been sold and the people that were buying it were still in negotiations with the salesperson. It was at this time that Wally told me that they cannot "hold" a vehicle for a customer. In all of the emails and phone calls we had, this was the first time that this was ever mentioned to me. If he had stated this, I would have purchased the truck over the phone. Lousy dealership, and surely, not friendly at all.

From the "Internet Sales" I was working with a woman who passed me on to Wally Johnson, who was swamped and took 4 days and way too much of MY time, to put the deal together. NOT quibbling on the price of my purchase vehicle was understood. The quibbling was over my TWO trade-ins: one upsidedown Elantra, the other trade-in was my free n clear, spotless and excellent condition F150 Lairet. I needed a bigger truck for my purpose. I felt hounded and actually got in my Lariet to drive away and scratch the whole thing, with some 4 or 5 salesmen and service and whoever found the conversation 'entertaining to listen to just standing around myself and the Iraqi-Vet employee. Being a Woman Veteran, I felt like I was "In Country" and being interrogated Feeling like i was in the den of a wolf pack, they finally budged some $500 more on my trade-in truck. THAT is where the dickering came in. You have the power on the trade-ins, but they don't quite add up unless you relentlessly push for it.... it was after-hours when they pushed until i had no more patience or energy. They were not very friendly at all.'

The service tech had to test drive to discover transmission fluid was low. I just had it serviced at Jiffy Lube, brought it back to them because I knew something was wrong. Jiffy Lube said it was OK. Friendly Chev service tech diagnosed the problem and added sufficient trans fluid. Problem solved at reasonable cost. (I got reimbursed at Jiffy Lube, but what a hassle.) I learned to go to dealer for things like this!

I love Friendly chev but lately they have been treating us like crap! Our 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3l Vortec has been blowing white smoke at startup ever since 49,000 miles. Now its at 51,000 miles and still blows white smoke at startup. It only does it 25% of the time but when this first happened we checked the oil level and it was really low. Not sure exactly how low but it needed oil bad. The truck has also had a bad smell coming from the exhaust ever since 49,000 miles. Next time I go here I am probably going to throw a fit because they want us to do some kind of oil consumption test, and during the testing it never blew or consumed oil. One more thing to add is when every time I start the truck and it blows white smoke the engine ticks very loudly. I just hope someone could actually inspect our engine next time we visit!

It is extremely difficult to get an appointment because the on line scheduler does not work and no one answers the phone. This time the service was good when I got there and everything seems to have been done properly. It was not this way the first time came in for service. My free car wash pass is really not worth anything. Everytime I have come to have it washed it is either closed or there is at least an hour wait. I can still go to my old dealership and get a free wash within 15 minutes even though I did not buy this truck from there.

Waited months for parts April to July Ignition key cylinder recall. GM issue!!!!!!! Made appointment dropped off vehicle night before work to be done. When made appointment also asked that lost key fob be replaced and programed our expense. They called next day late afternoon stated work done, asked about key fob they knew nothing about it???????????? explained for the second time, stated would get done, they called about hour later now done. Called wife so she could pickup on way home, she arrived, the cashier stated paper work would take 1 hour to complete because the advisor had gone home?????????? Could mail to us answer was no. It appears like you have a problem with service department staff. Paper work should have been completed at time of second phone call. The word is DONE, Complete, finished. Can't give top grade to average at best operations. No problems with the work on vehicle as of time of this survey. No transportation offered for repairs due to poor manufacturing.SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAY AND GO NO WAITING. Our time is valuable too.

Customer service is fantastic, mechanics are very good. however my truck seat had a lot of grease on it , and so did the interior surfaces. The brake fluid had about 1/2 cup on the steering gear box which made a mess and concerned me as i thought it was leaking. it should have been cleaned up.

I was in this morning at 6:30 to drop off the car for a recall on the infamous Ignition Switch. I picked up at 4:45. Date, June 2, 2014. I have left messages with both the service manager and general; manager. While I am certain the work was done satisfactorily, friendly customer service is not part of the plan at this place. When I picked up my vehicle, I asked where the key was I dropped it off with. Apparently, we get new keys and they are required to discard the old ones. I wanted my old key back because I just had it made the day before, after waiting a few months for the Home Depot to have a blank, because I am supposed to use the key without a key ring attached. My answer has been to keep the key in the car and use another one to unlock the doors with. The whole process has been a pain, and has caused some problems as other family members have needed the car. Basically, I've been locked out a few times! Anyhow, I did not really have a problem with the key so much as the person who checked me out (the young lady cashier), who said, I don;t know. I just do this here. There was no offer to get a service person to discuss the work that was done, or any direction about where to ask. This young lady has a severe case of "I don't give a crapidous," which she may or may not be aware of. Regardless, it was first and last visit to Friendly Chevrolet. It may very well be a great place, but I am not aware of it, nor was I made aware of it when I was there. Most customers just want all of their questions answered respectfully before they complete their transaction, with perhaps a friendly "see you next time" attitude. This pretty much felt like because it was a recall, I was a burden to them and treated accordingly. I guess they save the friendly service for the paying customers. Thus the name, "Friendly Chevrolet" does not fit them well. What they do not realize is that one bad experience may be returned many times over if I never go there again for real service, or recommend them to anyone. Like I said, I am certain the work was done satisfactorily, though only time will tell.

I bought a truck 2 months ago from Fridley Chev and I recently brought it in for my first scheduled maintenance. While I was purchasing the vehicle, during my test drive, the PSI sensor was showing the back tire was low, so we filled it up. I ended up purchasing the truck and the tire always slowly leaked air. So when I brought it in for a tire rotation and oil change, the service department noticed a nail in the inside wall of the same tire. I think it was there prior to me buying the truck. I explained this to the sales dept and the sales manager agreed to buy me a new tire and I was EXTREMELY grateful. I will refer anyone I know who is searching for a vehicle to go to Fridley first.

I had been shopping for a car-Camaro or Challenger- for a few of months. I had made my mine up that I like the Camaro better. I had visited a couple of other dealers. They were pushy and would not show me the performance Camaro I wanted. When I stopped at Friendly Chev, they had a couple of Camaros on the lot. I was able to snoop around a little then Jimmy came out and talked to me. I had thought about waiting until June to buy a car, but he said 'why wait'. It was exactly what I needed to hear. Jimmy stayed late to help me and I drove off the lot in a brand new Camaro that night. It was exactly the car I wanted/needed. I had recommended Jimmy and Friendly Chev to a couple of my friends that are looking at vehicles. When I need a different vehicle, I will drive back to Friendly Chev!Jimmy showed me 'around' the car and I a still learning my way around the rest of the car. I am having a lot of fun in my car.

I bought my 2014 equinox in nov of '13. I was told I get free oil changes and tire rotations for two years. I brought my car in with a little over 3000 because that's what I believed to be the norm mileage wise. Oil change was done. They put a sticker in my window saying my next oil change was due at 6000. I brought it in last week with a little over. Oil change dobe and tires. Out of curiosity I asked the cashier in service about the # of changes that come with new car. I was informed I get 4 in 2 years. First problem, why did they do change at 3000 and then tell me again at 6000? 2nd question, why only 4 total changes? Average yearly miles are 12000-15000. Not 10000. Your service department should not have done an oil change at 3000 let alone recommended another one at 6000. Now my sticker says 11000 by the way.

Todd Hughes in the body shop was great to me. I had gotten into an accident and had the tow truck bring my truck to Friendly. When I got there Todd was very personable and professional. He did the estimate on my truck and it turned out that it was a total loss but Todd was still very good to me even though Friendly would not be repairing my truck. The rental he arranged for me worked perfectly for my needs and I felt no pressure to rush in to return it immediately once my truck was ruled a total loss. Even though Friendly did not repair my truck, I would still recommend Todd purely on his friendly, professional demeanor and willingness to satisfy the customer's needs without hesitation.

Out of all the dealerships I have been through in my life, Friendly's is the best. Bar none. Their selection of used cars and trucks are about the best you will find. The sales staff is great too. They did everything that I asked of them. Made sure that the computer was communicating with the service department's computer and no alarms. They were happy to do it for me. Test drive was comfortable and long enough to determine if I liked it enough. Traded in a car for the truck. It was a great deal as well on what they gave me for the trade and the price of the truck. I would recommended going to Friendly Chevrolet. They really are committed to doing business the way it is supposed to be done. No hassle. I will be back. Thanks Wally and Chris.

No one calls to let us know the part has arrived or if there are still more delays. Do your phones place outgoing calls? Have you trained your employees on how to make outgoing calls? Are your employees expected to make return calls? We are getting just a wee bit ticked about this and are frustrated this is the best you seem to be able to do. You might be labeled friendly but that is only our experience with your sales force. Based on our experience with your service department, we would not consider purchasing another vehicle from you. How disappointing. Maybe its time to call General Motors to get some action.

There was just one small issue that I had. I brought the SUV in on 4/9 around 4PM. The service writer looked at the mirrors and said he would like to look at them closer to see what the issue was and asked me to bring the SUV back on Mon. 4/14 which I did. at that time a different service writer was there and he looked at the mirrors again, and said they would have to order mirrors and I could come back on Wed 4/16 and they could replace the mirrors at that time. I was just disappointed that I had to make an extra trip the very 1st time I was in. Otherwise I am completely satisfied with my experience and the service I received..

Jake Roe greeted us right as we came through the door with a warm smile and hand shake. He listened intently to our needs and immediately went to work to find the vehicle that we'd be interested in. Jake is a breath of fresh air as he is open, honest, passionate and really cares; eager to please, bright and articulate. He didn't "pressure" us into buying if we weren't completely satisfied. We left to visit another Chevrolet dealership to see what kind of deal we could get for comparison and they didn't show interest and certainly didn't have the same enthusiasm that we encountered at Friendly Chev. We returned to Friendly Chev and Jake was right there to help us and so was Brian (a very nice manager). It was almost closing time and we said that we'd come back tomorrow to close the deal and they said it was no problem to get things done that evening. The paperwork was seamless and the vehicle was cleaned up and we drove off the lot with our perfectly prepped new Silverado. The next day we returned to the dealership and Jake was there with a couple of Friendly Chev hats:) Everyone should be commended as they did a great job and we actually enjoyed the whole buying experience. The truck is quiet, smooth and fun to drive.

The one thing I didn't like was the fact that your on-line scheduling of oil changes doesn't mean anything. I scheduled an on-line oil change and called to see why I didn't get a conformation call. When I called to confirm my appointment I was told that it's a first come first serve for oil changes. I could have stopped in 3 days earlier to change my oil. This was very disappointing to me. Other wise the service was great.

i was very surprised when I received a call from Darrell of Friendly Chev. It was on a Monday which was the day after I responded to car,com. On Tuesday, I went over with the intention of looking at another car but before I could even see that car, it was sold. I had a specific request which was needed and that was bench seats. Darrell said that he had a Chev Impala that I could look at. Because I am a Chevy fan, that immediately peaked my interest. After taking the car for a ride, my decision was made. I bought the car. I was very satisfied with the service that I received. There are a few things which need to be taken care of and will be. I was treated very well and the people that I have met there are wonderful. After doing a search on the Chevrolet web site for the Equinox specs and location I found 2 vehicles; one at Belzer's and one at Friendly. I called Belzer's first to confirm that they still had the vehicle on hand and found out it was sold so I called Friendly and asked for Tony Hardy since I had seen his name pop up on their web page. The vehicle that they had was also sold and after talking to Tony a little more I decided to have in do a search for the specs I wanted and in less than an hour he had found 2 vehicles out of state and we purchased 1 of them. Kudos for him acting fast!!! After purchasing the vehicle we added some accessories and they were put on by Friendly's service dept. Top to bottom we are impressed with the sales and service!!!!

I chose to only shop at Friendly Chevrolet based on the exceptional service I've always gotten in the Service Department and the Sales Department did not disappoint. I love the best price policy and that they are paid on volume. I didn't have to worry about if I needed to haggle or being pressured to buy up from my budget. Wally was so friendly and helpful. He honored what I was looking for and found exactly the car I was looking for in the price range I had in mind. We stopped into Friendly Chev after experiencing poor customer service at another dealership down the road. When we walked into Friendly it was nearly 7:30p. We weren't sure if it was too late too look at cars, but we saw people in the store and thought we'd give it a try. As we walked in there were many salesmen sitting around but no one got up immediately to greet us. A few seconds later, EJ calmly walked up to us and asked if we had been helped yet. It was a relief to meet a salesman who wanted to actually help us!! Less than an hour later we had our dream SUV (Champagne colored Tahoe) test driven and the financial guy was searching for the best interest rate. We have below average credit but they were able to find us a decent loan and interest rate! EJ is a "diamond in the rough" in the car world. He's patient, considerate, and really funny. We left the same night with our new Tahoe! When we came back the next day to wrap up the financial piece EJ was working with two other couples but still had time to say hello and help us get a working key FOB. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and EJ helped make the experience quick and stress-free. Friendly Chev is lucky to have him on their team. Thanks, EJ!

I went to this dealership to check out a 06 Honda Civic. I called in to make sure they still had this vehicle available. The guy on the phone was very useful and answered all the questions I had, then offered to have someone call me back with more details about the car. I declined and said I will be heading there to test drive the car anyway. He said to ask for Dana when I got there. Upon arrival, Dana was already at the door waiting to greet me. Immediately, it already felt like home. Dana was very knowledgeable and he made it very comfortable to talk to in regard to any questions or concerns I had about the vehicle. After he scanned my driver's license, I took the car out for a test drive. Hopped on 610 and drove for a while to see how the engine would run, how smooth the ride would be, and how it handled. Although it wasn't the color I wanted, I was set on getting this vehicle. Dana did not pressure me at all to buy this vehicle, instead he was very helpful and mainly focused on what I wanted. He helped me through the whole process of getting it financed and I drove away with a newly used civic the same day. The car was on empty, so I asked Dana if he could put some gas on there, and he did it! Overall, it was a good buying experience. This is my second time buying a car, and it was a much better experience than the first. My first time experience was at a random small used-car lot near ham lake, and the finance guy tried to add a bunch of fees onto my loan and somehow it ended up being 2000-3000$ more without even telling me, he just told me to sign here.. and sign here.. and sign here.. until i noticed and told him I don't want that extra stuff on there. he was kept asking me "are you sure you don't want that?" My sister is a loan officer for a big bank and she told me to deny all the additional stuff and if I really wanted the extra warranty on the loan, she could get it for me for much much much cheaper. So the guy had to re-run my credit checks again and that eventually led to another hard inquiry on my credit.... which makes your credit go down. Also, when they say you can run as much credits checks as you want within a certain time period.... they're lying... big time. I had 5-6 credit checks as I was a first time buyer... and my credit score dropped dramatically... Know how much you can get, and when you find the car you want... do the credit check.

The wife purchased an Equinox from this dealership a couple of years ago, and has always had great service -- which is important. An unnamed dealership tried the ole "you need this $700 bogus repair that isn't under warranty" trick on her on the previous vehicle. Yep, we won't be back there.When it came time to upgrade my vehicle, we tracked down Wally on a busy Saturday afternoon. Considering new, but found a pre-owned truck that worked out. In and out of the car dealership in three hours, that included a test drive on my trade in vehicle. Still enough time for a beer on a Saturday afternoon which we all know is more fun than the car dealership.The team worked great together. Brian pulled the paperwork together while Jake went over the possible accessory options. By the time I had my gear pulled out of my old truck, the paperwork was done and we were out the door with a new truck a few minutes later.Highly recommended dealer and service department even if you bought your Chevy somewhere else. You might want to give them a try.

We left this dealership feeling like we would never go anywhere else to buy a vehicle. Our salesman, Dana Pitann went above and beyond to exceed all of our expectations. We could tell right away how much he loved his job. He was so friendly, and we had a lot in common with him; it was like we were talking to a long time friend instead of a car salesman. He was not in a hurry to get rid of us, and when we realized that there was only one key that came with our car, Dana took the time to seek out other key fobs that would work, so at least if our son accidentally locked his keys in the car, he could still get in it. Our whole experience was a pleasant one. We felt like Dana would have done anything for us. We went several other places to look at '05 Chevy Impalas for our son. Friendly Chevrolet had the best car out of all of them for the money. For being 9 nine years old, this car looked like brand new! Excellent, excellent experience. We will be back for sure the next time we need a car. Keep up the incredible work!!!

I was greeted by Dana Pitann right away when entering the Bargain Lot. I was in to look at a recently listed 2005 Silverado, but also saw they had a 2003 in my price range. The newly listed one was in the shop for the routine inspection/repair. The mechanic working on it asked if we wanted to test it out before he started any work, this was great because this is the one I really wanted to look at. I was here on my birthday just to test drive and see if there would be something of interest. I couldn't pass this deal up and bought this truck because the buying experience went very well, and I will certainly recommend Friendly Chevrolet in the future. My overall experience was ok, But i should have known better than to buy a truck with high miles 244,00, as I said to Dana after the fact (about two weeks after purchase), you as a dealer should look at vehicles a bit closer before putting on the lot, the rear calipers were frozen and junk, front wheels bearings and brake pads were junk, and since the purchase, the rear end self destucted (plenty of oil in it) just simply wore out to the point the spider gear pin broke and took out the ring and pinion, after fixing that and test driving, after taking with Gene your service Manager, the transmission has now failed (no second gear or reverse) It is very disappointing that a customer spends 2600.00 for a basically winter beater and all this mayhem with it costs a ton of money. Now i have a vehicle that is not worth a hill of beans, not worth putting 2200.00 in a transmission in. Thanks for the junk lawn ornament i now have. Sincerly Bryan J Saiko

I came to look at a truck, it sold when I got there,no big deal but the response I got was. "sorry dude I will call you if I see something similar", basically saying goodbye you can leave now. I may not dress as a business man but I am on the higher end of the income scale! Getting that response was absurd Seems they judge by your clothing and age! Good luck with these sales men better ware your 3 piece suit.I have also heard this from other people saying they will never be back neither will I! There where other vehicles I was interested in but not now I will spend my money elswhere. Dont judge the book by it's cover.

I recently bought a 2005 Impala from the Bargain Lot. Dana Pitann was helpful in selecting the car with me. However the used car manager "low balled" the value of my trade in car He also told me the Impala I was getting was "the best car for the price" on his lot so he could not offer me more for my trade in. The Impala seemed to drive OK during the test drive. BUT just 3 days later I noticed the transmission would slip/jerk terribly at times. I took it to a transmission shop to be diagnosised. I contacted Dana and told him the issue with the car's transmission. He told me to keep him posted. Since it was already in the transmission shop I decided to let an outside transmission shop fix the problem. The transmission was bad and needed to be replaced. I tried contacting the Used Car Manager, Rob Owens but I was ignored. Over the years I HAD bought many cars from Friendly Fridley but they have now lost me as a future customer. It seems sad I have to put in over $2000 in a car just 3 days after purchasing it. And it's sad I was basically ignored by the used car manager. It's even sadder that this vehicle was their "best" used car. If the Impala was their "best" vehicle one has to wonder the quality of their other used cars.It is also bad how they treatrd meas a repeat customers. So if you are looking for a good quality used car I would recommend that you buy it somewhere OTHER than Friendly Fridley. My most recent experience was a bad one. .

I felt like i was in a lion's den. Whoever was the " Trade In Iraqi Vet" guy was, he was a monster aided by his "troops" of other Friendly Fridley workers who gathered to watch this guy try and rip me off on my trades. Wally, was supposed to be in charge of my deal, when he just plain didn't have the time. I signed the deal, well after dark AND closing... only on the third day i came out there. Then Wally tells me i need to come back to get the key-fab coded with my 2009 2500 Silverado, that was after he suggested the truck DID NOT COME WITH A KEY-FAB, and i asked him to pull the accessory sheet, and low and behold, it was included. When i came back a FOURTH time, the day before i needed to leave for Florida, which he knew from day one that i was purchasing the truck specifically for the trip and when i was leaving, to get the key-fab coded, they couldn't get it done, and handed me two different key-fabs and told me to go to a dealer in Florida and get it done.ALSO, HAVING PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON SEPT 4TH, THE PAY-OFF CHECK NEVER GOT TO MY BANK UNTIL SEVEN (7) DAYS LATER, COSTING ME TO ACCRU UNDUE EXPENSE IN THE FORM OF THE DAILY INTEREST. I WOULD'NT SEND ANYONE TO FRIENDLY FRIDLEY!!!!!

I recently had a great experience at Friendly Chevrolet. I actually went to buy a used car that I had seen online. The salesman that I worked with was Wally Johnson. I did not feel any pressure. Wally showed us the car that I wanted to look at. Let us have some private time to talk about the car. I then asked to look at a Impala and he showed us the car. Again he gave us the time to talk about it - there was absolutely no pressure. He gave us the information about the cars (the certified information) and let us make the decision. He was very professional, courteous and great to deal with. In addition, everyone else that I came in contact with at the dealership was great. I recently went back to get a car wash and this also has made the experience great.

Bought a used Tahoe just over a wek ago. Took a short trip to southern MN over the weekend. While on the trip the vehicle cruise control stopped working. Also as we started the drive in the early morning the auto headlights started flickering. I callled the dealership on Saturday and was told that I would have to talk with the sales manager on Momday. I left a message a was called back late morning on Monday by the sales manager. He told me to schedule an appointment with the service department and they would look at it. Went in for the appointment today, and after several hours wait the service staff informed us that the remote starter was causing the cruise and the rear break lights not to work properly. They informed us that they had disconnected the remote start but the cruise and rear break lights worked just find; good bye. Now I have a vehicle that had remote start for this winter that works just fine but is not operational bucause it was the quick fix for the real problem. xxxx of a way to take care of a customer.

**************DO NOT BUY HERE**************I came into this dealership looking for my first car. I was looking for a used one that was in good condition and at a good price. I was brought here by my mom who has a friend that works for the place. I was shown a Jeep Liberty and was told it was in good condition and the price was 'the best I would find'. I take it for a test drive around the block and like it. I ask for more details about the car and was told it was checked out and was fine; ready to be bought and driven off the lot! I decide to buy the car after having looked at it for a while. Fast forward to the drive home (I live in Mpls, about 45 minutes away), the steering wheel starts shaking. Mind you, the route I was given for the test drive did not involve going over 45mph. Coming from a car that was said to have been inspected and cleared of problems, this didn't seem right. I stop at a garage and they tell me the alignment is TOTALLY OFF and messed up. They also saw some weird balding happening on some of the tires. They concluded that the car indeed needed a major alignment fix and that all the tires should/needed to be replaced. I called my dad in to make sure I wasn't being BSed, and sure enough he agrees with the mechanics. As they are replacing the tires, they come in and tell me the original tires that came with the car are the completely WRONG SIZE. They are too small for the car and are 3 different brands and tire treads. Overall, in the first 2 days, I've spent $700+ on a car that was said to have been 'inspected and in good condition'.Having bought this car from such a 'reputable' dealership, I was irritated. My mouth dropped as they were telling me all the things wrong with the car. I pretty much bought a car with tires that were the wrong size and tires that were from 3 different brands that were balding due to a messed up alignment. 'Good condition' my xxx. Unless their mechanics were found on Craigslist personals, I'm pretty sure these are things most dealerships would check before selling something as expensive and costly as a car. These are issues most GOOD mechanics would notice and fix. But lucky for me, I got a xxx that probably was just bought from a random person and slapped with a inflated price and placed on the lot. No inspection or check up. No nothing. Just a plain old piece of crap with no work or attention done to it.I have been spreading this story to everyone I know, especially people who I know are looking for a car. I cannot express my frustration enough. This place has ruined my first car buying experience. I would not even recommend this place to my worst enemy. They only care about making a profit out of you, not your safety or your peace of mind. I am appalled at this place and am so ashamed to have bought my car from here. These are problems no car buyer should have to face after 2 days of buying a car from such a large dealership. Especially a car that was marketed as 'good and ready to drive'. You call bad/incorrect tires and an alignment problem good? Maybe actually inspect your cars instead of just slapping a price on them. Now, I take responsibility for not checking the car out further before buying, but why should I need to worry about things like this? Don't you think any reputable dealer who cares about their customers would inspect and fix problems like this? I should't need to worry about this kind of stuff if I am forking over thousands of dollars and my trust/safety. The dealers job is to make the car worth my money, safety and trust. It's not to take advantage of a new car buyer.. or any car buyer for that matter. If this place hadn't already drained enough money out of me, I would've sued by now. I am very close to filing a claim to the BBB. This car was sold with so many problems that were never brought up to me as a buyer. My belief is that 1) this car was not inspect like I was told it was, or 2) it was inspected and was just falsely advertised to me.Either way, tires aren't something any dealership/driver should take lightly. Had I not noticed this problem until later on, I could've blow off a tire on the freeway going 65mph because they were the incorrect size for my vehicle and were unevenly worn due to an unknown alignment problem. This place isn't worth the spit in your mouth or the lint in your belly button. Save your time and your money. Shop elsewhere.

The Fab that came with the used Cobalt I purchased malfunctioned and Wally Johnson, who sold me the vehicle, was great working with Parts to get me a new replacement as quickly as possible. Friendly Chevrolet is GREAT! I have had bad experiences at Car Dealerships so I was nervous about buying a car. I called a few places the night before to explain what I wanted and to get a feel for them and out of everyone I called, I felt the "safest" with Friendly so I went in the next day. The experience was perfect. Quick, painless and fun. It turned out that the first car that Jeremy showed me was exactly what I wanted (he listened well and didn't try to bamboozle me into something that was out of my price range) so I bought it. Everyone there thoroughly lived up to their name - totally friendly and fun. Since I have had my car, I brought it to two other dealerships that were closer to where I live to get oil changes and I did not have the best experience at either place. They were not as friendly and I just sort of left with a "yuk" feeling. I can't say enough good things about Friendly's Services department. They are THE BEST. Friendly, Knowledgeable and all-around really awesome. Also, the cashier in the service department was fun to talk to. I have since bought an older Jeep Cherokee off of craigslist and I brought it to Friendly to get the oil changed and they did a complete exam and gave me some pointers on things I might want to address. All in all, they were fantastic and when I left there (on both buying and servicing occasions) I felt great because they were all very nice and personable and I felt like they had a lot of integrity and cared about my experience.Super nice, awesome place.

I went into Friendly Chevrolet after working with thier sales department extensively on a previous Chevrolet vehicle. Entering a sales environment knowing EXACTLY what you want is always scary but not at Friendly and working with Jimmy Rowe. It was very hassle free, absolutely the easiest individual and team to work with in terms of Vehicle Sales. I was extremely happy with how easy it was to get in and out with the exact vehicle i was looking for. Thank You Jimmy Rowe and the team at Friendly Chevrolet for an amazing Sales experience. It really is not often i say this about working with anyone in a sales enviroment so hopefully everyone trying to decide whether or not to work with Friendly Chevrolet will do so after reading this review.

After dealing with several dealerships and asking them to watch for a specific type of car, and not getting any response from any of them, I ran into Tom Bertsch. Knowing he worked for a car dealership, I asked him to keep an eye out for me. The following Monday he called and told me he had a car for me to look at. I could not make it to the dealership for a few days so he brought the car to me. We liked it and decided to visit Friendly Chev and see what other options they had. Tom showed us a few more that had come in during the week, and to our delight, we found one that fit the bill. That night we signed the papewrork and were owners of a car we really like. Tom was as pleasant as he could be, answered all our questions, and everyone else there was just as friendly. On leaving, I grabbed a few of Tom's calling cards and I plan on sending anyone I know interested in a new car to Friendly Chev. It was a great experience!

I was in the market for a new Malibu ECO and used the Chevrolet Build Your Own website to locate dealers in my area that had my "built car" on hand. None of the dealers in South Dakota (they sell mostly pickups and have fine inventories of them) had cars with the options I wanted on their lots. I located several in the Minneapolis area that did, so I contact several. Friendly Chevrolet had the best internet discount from the MSRP price so I contacted them. Chris Taylor answered all my questions and seemed very knowledgeable, so I drove over from SD and visited with him. He showed me the car that matched all my criteria, we test drove it, he answered all my questions and seemed very got at his job. Friendly Chevrolet offered my more on my trade-in than my local dealer or any others that I contacted, so I purchased my new 2013 Malibu ECO on the spot. Drove home a very pleased new owner. The only downer was that they did not have the molded splash guards in stock that I wanted installed, but I can have that done locally. As a follow-up Chris Taylor answer my email questions and provided me with PDF file information that answered questions that I had not even thought to ask. He is a young man doing a great job. I will definitely consider this dealership in the future.

He just let me look around as long as I wanted till I found what I liked, and pointed out the best features of my choice. I bought a new Chevy truck from Friendly chev, I returned the truck for a oil change and to have a damaged seat belt repaired. The oil change was not done well at all: Did not top off the washer fluid even when the lite was on, did not wash vechicle and did not install service reminder on the front windshield, took way longer then promised. The service advisor informed me the seat belt was not covered under warranty! I explained the belt does not retract like it's designed to and since got stuck in the door when closing and pinched the belt, which caused a tear. I also talked to the general manager who agreed with the service manager that this was not a warranty issue, I would have to pay to get the seat belt replaced. I left the dealer disappointed and went to luther brookdale chevreolet in Brooklyn Park, I explained to Brookdale chev what happened. Brookdale chev made an appointment for the next day. When i dropped off the truck at Brookdale chev they offered me a free ride home and would pick me up when the truck was ready(very nice touch). Brookdale chev also topped off my washer fluid because the lite was on and did a safety check for free. I will not return for service or ever buy another vechicle fom Friendley chev again. They would rather argue then help the customer with an obvious warranty claim. I would stay away from Friendly chev!

We came into Friendly Chevrolet looking for a new truck with a great many options on our wish list. The truck we wanted was not on their lot, but Jeremy and Chad did an extensive search to find the truck we were looking for. Once located it was brought in from a sister dealership. It actually had a few more options which we were happy to see. Working out our deal on the trade and purchase of the truck was one of the smoothest transactions we have ever experienced. We truly enjoyed working with Jeremy and Chad, as well as all the others involved putting us in the new truck. I have gone back into to Friendly Chevrolet after taking delivery and have always been greeted with a smile, and asked how they could help me. Friendly Chevrolet truly is a friendly place and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Very good experience purchasing my new Corvette. I wasn't even sure when I stopped in if I wanted one of the newer Corvettes' (I currently have a 2004). Friendly Chevy had a good selection of Corvettes' and the right one was sitting on the showroom floor. Couldn't of designed it better if I ordered it myself. Justin was very helpful and informative about the vehicle and did not pressure. The vehicle was priced right even with their new no haggle pricing - it was pretty close to where I would of started at in the negotiating process. The overall process was really good, vehicle was cleaned up, gassed up and ready to go in no time at all. Justin and everyone we came in contact with at Friendly Chevrolet were very helpful and excited for me on the purchase. I would purchase from Justin and Friendly Chevrolet again.

He was not just trying to sale me a car...He was sincerely there to get me what I was looking for and have me leave with nothing less than satisfaction . Ok so here it is!! I purchased a 2008 Grand Prix with expired tabs; took delivery with expired tabs had to return to the dealership that evening to obtain the 21 day permit; I was the one that noticed it half way through the day; the deliver was taken without the salesman present; was helped by another individual I believe his name was Dave; there was no orientation to the vehicle or its internal knobs on delivery; I had to ask about your service departments hours this information was not offered; I called the sales man prior to delivery a few days the phone was answered by your receptionist was transferred to another sales man's voice mail; had to call back again and then was connected to Jeremy's voice mail; the receptionist was not as friendly or apologictic about the first call; she needs some training. Overall the dealership should have dispatched a oourier to my office with the 21 day permit so that I would not be sweating bricks on driving back to get it; when the issue was discussed with Jeremy about what happens if I get stopped his response was "just show the paper work to the policeman." Not what I wanted to hear.Overall I give your dealershi a "C" not even close to your name. Sorry but this is the truth.

This included the color and price we requested. Due to my husbands disabillity at the time, they brought one out to the house for us to try out. To the owner of Friendly Chevy...Paul Roby is awesome! In December 3 days before Xmas my 2006 Saturn Vue was hit in the front near your dealership. I wasn't hurt but my beautiful Vue was missing a wheel and much of it's front end, I rode with the tow driver to your service department with no idea what to do other than call my husband. Paul Roby met me at the service entrance and within an hour had called my insurance company, the other drivers insurance company, got me a loaner vehicle (yes really), called my husband and helped me move about 20 gift wrapped items for my families Christmas from the Vue to the Impala I was going to drive! They were going to use my wife's Cadillac as a "shuttle vehicle" to bring another customer home. My wife had her car there for an oil change and decided to wait there till it was done. The female Fridley Chevrolet employee must have thought my wife had left and proceeded to tell another customer that they would be taking the black Cadillac and pointed to the wife's car. My wife made her presence known and the employee switched gears and told the customer they would be taking another vehicle. I'll bet that if the wife had not been there and they used her car as a "shuttle vehicle" and we asked why there was "X" additional miles on her odometer, they would have said "Oh, we just took it out on the road to make sure everything was okay." I've heard that one before...and now it makes me wonder. We will never take our cars there again. Would you?!!

Horrible horrible experience!First I called re: gettin my fuel gauge sensor that GM had sent out a special policy announcment on saying that GM would cover half the cost of the repair since there were so many problems. No one at Friendly Service knew about it, and later called me after confirming it was true.So, decided to have that done, and wanted them to check out a whining noise my car had been making, and 2 mechanics had thought it was an idle pulley, so wanted them to confirm that. They called me back saying it was NOT the idle pulley, but instead the fan clutch and alternator, and those repairs would be well over a thousand dollars or more! all they could say was that the fan clutch part itself would be about $500 and labor would be much more, and they didn't know about the cost of the alternator. I again asked about the idle pulley, and they said it was fine..it was the fan clutch and alternator. They then told me that my check engine signal was signaling 4 codes to them, but it would be $165 to diagnose it. I informed them that during a prev diagnosis with their service dept they had said the check engine signal was soley related to the fuel gage. They said three of the signals were completely UNRELATED to the fuel gage, but couldn't tell me much more unless I was oking the $165 diagnosis fee. I asked if it could possible run thousands of dollars to fix the fan clutch and alternator and they said "yes". I told them I'd be getting a 4th opinion (as they were the only ones saying it was these 2 items) and brought it to a GM dealership in Rice Lake Wi (Don Johnson Motors) when visiting my mother and told them that I was told i would need a fan clutch and alternator as well as having 4 check engine codes reading out. They checked the codes in front of me and there were NONE except those related to the fuel sensor gage that had not been cleared when Friendly fixed the problem. they further went on to check the whining noise by checking the alternator, fan clutch, and idle pulley, and determined it was the idle pulley and that my alternator and fan clutch were fine! I was FURIOUS that Friendly was so far off!!! They replaced the idle pulley and the whining noise is GONE! Do NOT trust Friendly to fix your car...my entire family has used that dealership and now will NOT trust them, as clearly they wanted to charge THOUSANDS for UNNEEDED repairs! I WILL drive and hour and a half to return to Don Johnson motors instead, as they are clearly looking out for the customers!

Horrible service. They don't fix the real problem. Had a check engine light on on my 2008 chevy impala. After 6 visits of having them shut off the light and tell me it's just a glitch they actually doug in to find out what was going on. Turns out the catalytic converter was bad and needed to be replaced. Thanks for wasting all my time to repair something that should have been identified one of the previous 6 visits!

I have had my 1997 Chevy Venture in their shop 29 times. 16 during original warranty, 10 on extended warranty and 3 since the warranty ran out. I had it in 3 times for faulty wiring in the tail lights. I finally fixed it myself after it failed again after the warranty was up. They replaced the windshield & did not replace the wiper motor cover or plug the radio antena back in. They worked on my transmission 3 times before finally giving up & replacing it. It took 4 attempts for them to fix a whistling noise in my heater vents. The heater fan would shut off after a coulpe minutes if run on high. It appeared fixed after 3 attempts. It lasted until the warranty ran out and now it is doing it again. The window in the sliding door was worked on 3 times for a rattle. They finally replaced the window assembly. It still did it so I gave up. I have had to pay for a new water pump. The intake manifold gasket had to be replaced because it was leaking. After they replaced it, I had a bunch of oil in by coolant. They had to flush the system to clean it out & wash out the overflow tank. When I got it back, the tank was laying in it's spot, but was not fastened down at all. It was just flopping around. The power steering hoses were both replaced for leaking. They recalled it for a rack pinion problem. They said mine was OK & did not need to be replaced. It could be repaired. When I got it back the steering wheel was aligned about 45 degrees to the right when driving straight. They had to redo that. A year later the rack went bad & I could not turn the wheel. I almost had an accident. They told me it had nothing to do with the recall & I had to pay for a new rack. I saw a web-site that had 179 complaints for the same type of problem, but GM seems to think it is not a problem. I paid to have the rack replaced. 20 months & 29,000 miles later while doing a brake job on it I noticed the rack boot on the right side was totally shredded. When I checked the left one I saw it was not attached to the rack. Upon closer examination I found that the rack was broke where the boot clamps on. There is nothing left to clamp to. I took it to Friendly Chevrolet in Fridley, MN and had Gene Lynch look at it. He said they have never seen one break before without being in an accident. I have never had an accident with it. I told him it was defective & should be covered. They refused to replace it, because the 1 year warranty was up. I feel it should have been replaced free the first time with all the problems they had. Now I feel they should at least replace it this time due to it being a defective part. He said the boots had been replaced when they did the rack 2 years ago too. They were rotted & the right one was shredded. There is no way they could be new.
