My wife and I visited Cookeville Honda two times: 1. to see which ones physically fit us (my wife has had knee surgery) and 2. to test drive a Honda CRV Touring and a Honda Accord. The sales Associate, Braedon Julian, was an outstanding Honda representative. He should really move to another dealership; he is that good. Unfortunately, the sales manager lacks everything one expects in a car salesman today. He is the stereotypical "used car salesman" of the 1960s. After deciding to purchase a Honda CRV Touring, I contacted Braedon to obtain a best cash price for the car. His manager would not give him a cash price. Days passed before the manager called me. He explained that I really needed to come in for a test drive (I had already taken a test drive) for a face-to-face discussion about a cash price. I explained that I would prefer to buy locally, but I already had quotes from multiple dealers using the Internet. He refused to give me a cash price. It turned me against Honda even though I have owned multiple Hondas since 1985. Corporate Honda needs to review how its dealerships are presenting its products. Toyota's Cookeville, TN dealership was a completely different experience. I purchased a Toyota Avalon this past week-end.

I bought a used Honda CR-V from this dealership in February of this year. The first time I took it in for service, the service girl called and said I needed an alignment. I told her to go ahead and perform the work since the car had a 90-day warranty. She called me back in less than 10 minutes and told me she had the service tech put it back on the machine and it was really okay. I had some problems with noise in the front of the vehicle when I took it back for service. They told me it was due to an ashtray. What was causing the ashtray to cause noise? Now, I have having problems with the air conditioning and I am afraid to take it back because I do not trust them. I am at a loss as to what to do. I really think this dealership sucks!

I have been around many many sales people in my life and none of them have ever been as kind and as professional and all about the customer as Adam was. He didn't just care about making the sale. I found a car in my price range on car.com and made arrangements to test drive it. Before I ever got to the dealership I got three phone calls from the internet salesman and one from his colleague or boss. Great, they are on top of things and are anxious to deal. I got there at the appointed time and was welcomed and the car was ready to drive. It wasn't the right car. We went inside and talked extensively with our salesman. He had an Impala and a Camry that he showed us. Suddenly he remembered that they just took in a trade that would be perfect for us and was priced write. We jumped into a car and drove to the other lot and sat and waited for a good long while. When he returned he said that it was already sold. All that was tolerable, what I don't understand is why he never called back with other possibilities. I never heard from anyone again. I felt I was left hanging. I ended up buying a 2013 Impala later that week from another dealership. I wouldn't recommend Cookeville Honda if you are looking for a used vehicle.

We bought a Honda CRV in 2014 and really liked it but decided to trade for a 2017 Ridgeline truck. This dealership has been a pleasure to work with, like the service department. Really liked working with Dillon to buy the truck-NO pressure, felt like he dealt honestly with us, he knew the vehicles, was gracioius and they worked hard to get exactly the vehicle we wanted. Would recommend this dealership and Hondas. We've been Toyota loyalists but the RAV 4 didn't compare to the CRV so we went back to Honda when we wanted a truck and wow is the Ridgeline great.Thanks, Dillon! I would recommend getting an appointment though. They were swamped when we were there and the wait was VERY long. So, call ahead and reserve time.

On our way on vacation to Tennessee our a/c went in our 2013 Honda Odyssey (33,000miles). We decided to take it in for service and found out that the repair was going to be much greater than anticipated. We spoke to the Service Director and expressed our displeasure of the expense to fix the issue for a vehicle that was only 3 years old. We explained our situation and our options. We are now walking out the door with a brand new 2016 Honda Odyssey Touring. Our buying experience was stress free. We have to say the best buying experience for us yet. Houston was very personable, just easy to work with. We will most definitely come back from Florida to buy a vehicle in the future.

With my mother-in -law's car broken down on the side of interstate near Cookeville and me in Nashville, I googled Honda Dealer in Cookeville. From the first contact on the telephone, the service department was awesome. They exhibited superior customer service every step of the way from arranging a tow truck, bringing my family members to the dealership out of the 100 degree heat, finding the parts and completing the repair in what I consider record time. I would recommend their service department to anyone. They truly know what customer service is all about!

Came to a price agreement on a vehicle on their used lot by Marathon gas station and they did not honor it. I was charged 3000.00 more than the price WE (salesman and myself) agreed on. Went back to find out why and it was no help either. I would NOT do business with these people.

My husband contacted them about a car and when they called we missed the call by seconds. I called back and the nice receptionist, after asking a couple questions, said she thought maybe a manager called us. She transfered me and the gentleman I spoke to was incredibly rude. He informed me it could have been one of 30 ppl who called after he asked if we were trying to buy a car and I said yes and explained I was only speaking to him because he was who she suggested and transferred me to. He said if I had bothered to know the name of who my husband Contacted, he could direct my call and then I said don't worry, nevermind, he said fine and hung up on me. We will be taking our business to Honda of Murfreesboro for our Honda purchase.

Do not even think about visiting this bunch of good for nothing Sales and Management Honda Dealers at Cookeville Honda.... especially one.. Jacob Smith (a real loser that ought be put out on the street).. they will lie to you and falsify Car Fax and Odometer readings and fix Pictures of the Autos... This is the worst Dealership I have ever had dealing with and have contacted Honda USA and BBB to alert them.. I plan to open legal action.. since I did record all of their conversations prior to a possible trade.. that proved to be a lying scheme to get myseof to the Dealership with no proof of validity at their end. Honda USA assure me that they will investigate face to face and report back.

I will never trust leasing or purchasing from Honda again. My experience was one of being promised a GPS system which it turns out is not available for the car we leased. That falls on the salesperson's responsibility to know. Instead of owning up to his mistake, our alternative was to pay an additional $2500.00, exchange our vehicle in for the same make and model that had a navigation already installed (plus a different color, not of our choosing) plus a higher monthly payment. The salesman acted as if he was the victim in all of this.Our salesman made a commitment that neither he nor the Cookeville Dealership would honor..We've been customers of Honda and Acura for many years.. This experience marks an end to that relationship.

Seems as thou i live in sparta having a simple oil change is convenient going to our local walmart. Till i got a coupon for a oil change for $19.99. at The dealers and i was working in one of my locations in cookeville i thought wow what a deal. So i called an made a appointment when i pulled up my car was first in line by the bay window handed them the coupon and they sent me to the waiting area 2 1/2 hours later i go to the counter to see what the hold up is the lady at the desk was a complete xxx to me i asked a question her response was thats not my job and called someone and Within a few min's here comes the service manager, asks me follow him i did He explains there will be no cost , why is because never should a oil change take this long thanked him and left, Then after the first week 1/2 my oil life tells me im down from 100% to 90 % and now its at 80 % and its only been as of yesterday 900 miles which Back to where it has always been changed at walmart in sparta The little sticker in the window clearly tells you what oil to put in it and i only use (castrol oil) in my Honda accord why because i can go 1,000 miles with it befor the oil life goes from 100% to 90% and this is why I DO NOT use Pennzoil its JUNK and burns much faster then its competitors and the sticker in my window said (Castrol) clearly they noticed since it was removed by them and replaced with theres with oil brand wieght numbers ive never seen on my sticker So now im wondering during all this WHY my car is super sluggish? The folks at cookeville Honda made a mistake and the free oil change, Well guess what not free now my only choice is to remove there mistake they forgot to tell me about and YES oil matters folks So there went ME and Hubs trading our Honda Accord for a newer one if yall cant do a simple follow the directions in the window sticker what makes you think i want to buy a car from you now ? Dont worry thou Honda Cookeville my Buddys at walmart in Sparta will fix your mistake NEVER again a very unhappy Customer...

My family and I came in looking for a family size vehicle (we prefered a bigger vehicle) but our salesman made us a good deal on this one we couldn't let it pass! Zac Dale was courteous and answered all of our questions we got a little higher payment than we really wanted but we had been looking so long we decided to buy! The other dealerships we went to didn't want to give us options it was like they didn't want us to buy the vehicle we came to look at! Every time I go to Cookeville Honda, Josh Savage goes out of his way to provide some of the best customer service I've experienced in car maintenance. He was always very clear about all the work that is done and why he has suggested some of the services I've had done. When I had recurring problems, he went out of his way to provide service that was more than fair. I've always felt very taken care of at Cookeville Honda since the first day I started taking my Accord there, and I would recommend it to everyone. For almost every service, even if it will take longer than an hour, I don't mind waiting in their lobby. The seats and area are always in a clean condition and their bathrooms were spotless and smelled really nice. I usually bring a book with me and am only interrupted when I'm asked by the customer service employees asking if I would like some water or anything while I'm waiting. It's always a pleasant experience!

Recently bought two 2015 Honda Civic vehicles from this dealership. Salesmen Zach Brown and General Manager Mack Phann were outstanding to deal with in this process. Honda has a great vehicle and they hold a higher resale value than other vehicles. Great buying experience at this dealership, wait times are a little long when making a purchase, but staff we dealt with were very customer service oriented. I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking to purchase a Honda vehicle.

My wife and I purchased a pre owned 2013 Nissan Altima that had 49,000 miles. After owning the vehicle for 6 months and finding out that the vehicle had a past code on the transmission, I am now the proud owner of a vehicle that I am unable to drive that I use for business purposes that is now affecting my personal finances. But of course they are more than willing to sell me a new transmission which was quoted by Nissan at $ 4,000 installed. I have already been told, so sorry out of luck. I would warn anyone thinking of purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to run away as fast as you can!

Went with my dad who saw a Ford explorer sport trac he liked. Test drove it once and he told them something was wrong with the front, they assured him it had been inspected but agreed to look into it. It had never been inspected the two from hubs and wheel bearings had to be replaced. 2nd test drive we got back to the lot and it smelled of antifreeze, popped the hood and the thermostat housing was busted and leaking. They replaced thermostat and housing. My dad bought after ALL this work, Two days after he picked it up it was squealing something awful and smelled of antifreeze again. He went up there went off because they tried saying everything checked out, manager ended up putting it in maintenance. The radiator was cracked and the serpentine belt was fixing to snap. Long story short they sell xxxx for used vehicles and after my dad went to Nissan to get out from the truck Nissan had to do work on the transmission. These guys are crooks and I was told very bluntly that I was stupid because I questioned a price on a used vehicle. Advice use truecar.com and search what you want before going there, it's very possible somebody has a better car for a better price

I did not have the best credit in the world actually it was pretty bad but i called Zac Dale a salesman there that i knew from high school he made and appointment for me to come in and see what he could do. I showed up we found a vehicle I fell in LOVE with we test drove it and it was perfect. We sat down with Billy Case the finance guy and he explained everything to be he got me very close to the payment i wanted but i was just happy to get a vehicle because everyone else in town basically laughed at me and told me to go to a buy here pay here lot because nobody in town would finance me!!! But Cookeville Honda Did get me financed, got me the car i wanted, (didn't force me into a car i didn't want) and had an amazing experience there it didnt take all day like i expected it was smooth and easy. While they were cleaning up my car Zac took me out to the service department and introduced me to them they were very generous and told me when if i ever needed anything or had questions about the car to just call!! I would recommend everyone to go there AMAZING people that care and will help anyone out!!!

Honda service dept has been telling me for over a year my transmission is leaking, although I have not seen this, nor has it been pointed out by another garage I frequent (and trust me, as bloodthirsty as they are, they would tell me). So I go in for an oil change, resigning myself to the fact they would try to sell me something else. Much to my surprise, it was not even mentioned about the tranny this time, but now it is an oil leak on the motor (the "leak" they showed me looked like fresh oil, but no blackened, crusty oil) and the front end fixing to fall out any moment. They did not show me what was wrong with the front end. I am going to find someplace else for oil changes. I might be a woman, but I do know a little, and not going to get screwed out of hundreds of dollars.

I paid my Honda off early iam due a refund on the extra coverage I took out I have called several times they wont return my calls I went over there an they made a copy of my pay off letter when I bought the car I was told my oil changes were free as long as I own the car that was a joke I had to pay all my oil changes Vicki Smith I called her several times an she didn't return my calls either. I called American Honda they wouldn't help either they sent 3letters to tell me I had a refund

After buying a car at Cookeville Honda I will never go anywhere else. I got a great deal on a new Honda and got a fair price on my trade. They are the best in Tennessee! They were honest about the cost upfront, no hidden fees! The manager even took the time to call my dad and go over everything with him since this was my first time buying a new car. Hard pressure sales , they run a credit check on you without your permission, they are rude, and will hang up on you when confronted . Most dealerships ask for consent to do a credit check these butt heads don't so your forced to come back to them to purchase a used or new car. Why ? Cause they did damage on your credit score that no one else will finance you. Stayed on my score or will stay for 7 years. Avoid this dealership.

our service rep seemed very confused. Half the work we wanted done (regular maintenance-oil change, differential flush), ended up not getting done after waiting 6 hours for a 1 hour brake rotor replacement. Brakes squealed as pads were not changed as per rep's recommendation. Have used this dealer for service before and been quite happy, this time around not so much (new management maybe?). Will not return.

I was told before I decided to buy the car oil changes were free as long as I owned the car lie first oil change free the rest werent their cars are over priced an stuff I ordered for the car door edge guards an window rain guards I never got I ordered them twice and the company itself Honda wont work with you if you need help when you cant make all your payment falls on deaf ears and they will call 4 to 7 times in a day about your payment iam looking at Nissans Honda can go to hell

I bought my daughter a car there in July 2014. It was the worst sales experience I have ever had. They were crooks plain and simple. We went to the finance office to complete the sale and they tacked on over $500 on the price because of work they did and they wanted us to pay for. That is suppose to be included in the price they list it at. The finance guy, Jacob, even had the nerve to tell us that the price on the internet was the real price. It was just something they used to get people in the dealership. Is he serious?! He treated us like we were stupid. We walked out. Just as we were getting into the car, they came running out and said they would "give" us the car for the internet price. If it wasn't for my daughter, I would have told them where they could stick there car. But we bought it anyway. The nightmare doesn't end there! The salesman specifically asked us if our county had a wheel tax and we told him yes and how much ($44). My daughter got her tags in the mail this weekend and guess what? No wheel tax had been added. Now we have to go pay another $44 today. That was just another $44 they screwed us out of. I bought a car at Nissan of Cookeville in June and it was completely smooth. They even told me what my TTL would be on the phone when I called. Cookeville Honda made me sign paperwork saying I wanted to buy the car before they would even discuss numbers with me. Nissan even got the wheel tax right!! I will never deal with Cookeville Honda again! They are the worst dealership ever!

I saw the bad reviews online, but I decided to go anyway because I really want a red civic coupe. When I got there, the salesperson claimed the car had been detailed, but it smelled very badly of cigarettes. Also, there was dust and dirt all in the car. The salesperson would not come down on the price even though Kelley Blue Book valued this car at a lower price than they were asking. The salesperson was nice, but you can easily find a better deal somewhere else.

About 6 months ago, I was in the market for a used auto below 50k. Went to Cookeville Honda, because I had heard some good coments about the location. Once I was on the lot there was a car that got my attention, after test driving the car, I told them what I could do as a down payment, and what I was looking for in a monthly payment, after 30-50 minutes, they came back saying that that would not work and that I would have to make a bigger down payment. I told them I could not do that and after a while they found a couple of cars that they said would work with what I was looking for. After looking at what was offered, I did not like any of the choices. Once I said I was sticking with what I was looking for on the terms I was looking for, they kind of lost interest in me. The salesman called me for a couple of days saying he had some cars for me, but when I asked for priceing and the details, he would always ask me another question, noT answering my pervious question. Well to make a long story short. I shopped around and went to the next city over from cookeville named Sparta and found a car that had less that 35k and was 2 years newer, I did not have to have a down payment and I even got it for 5 years. The reason I am writing this is that I just checked hondas website and the car I looked at is still on the lot. With the same price as when I looked at it. My advice is shop around first.

I was not pleased with the salesman I encountered at the dealership itself but the off site dealership lot salesmen were excellent! They did everything possible to help me find a car in the price range I told them they didn't hesitate to look at other lots owned by the dealership to find my car. I can say that was one of the best car buying experiences I have had, thanks to the salesman I happened upon after having bad experiences all morning long.

Overall, I would rate this dealership as "Good". I initially searched on the internet and identified a vehicle, which had already been sold upon my arrival, so this is an area they might want to work on. Still, we received very good customer service from Jason, who went that extra step to make the sale. I'll bring my son back down to look around once he arrives and am hoping for the same level of service.

Was contacted by Cookevillle Honda on a CR-V we were very interested in. Upon arrival, the salesman I had spoken with was out with the flu (not his fault). Salesman we had been told to see brought around a 2004 CR-V, but upon checking vehicle out we discovered this was NOT the vehicle we had been told about. Vehicle we drove had lot more miles on, and fewer features, other than leather interior as opposed to clothe we had read in info. When the fill-in salesman was question concerning the difference in price, he explained that the leather interior was worth the $500+ more than clothe? The windshield had a serious huge crack in it and the check engine light would burn constantly. These problems were corrected 2 days later and service dept was excellent. We had been told that a "loaner" vehicle would be provided, but upon arrival I was told that all loaners were out, so ended up sitting in customers' lounge for over 4 hours. Still finding problems, but are being assured that they will be corrected?

We purchased a new Honda Accord on July 19th, this is the 3rd new car purchase my wife and I have made in 44 years of marriage. I found the sales staff extremely knowledgeable and exceptionally proud of their product. Jonathan, the assistant salesman was very professional and courteous. It was such a pleasure to speak with this young man (40 years my junior), he was not pushy, just very easy to talk to when considering our age difference. He answered all of our questions, reacted promptly to our requests and concerns and followed-up on issues we had, to ensure our complete satisfaction. Mack Phann, the Sales Manager is most probably the most professional individual I have ever met (which includes my 23 year stint in the Marine Corps). His motivation and enthusiasm to make our new car purchase an enjoyable and memorable one speaks well of him and Cookeville Honda overall. Did I possibly overpay on our new vehicle - probably, after all, you're not going to beat a career salesman at his own game, but the overall experience was worth it. There were issues with the vehicle that should have been detected and corrected prior to our taking delivery but they were subsequently corrected. I hope any follow-up issues will be handled in the same fashion. My wife and I would, without hesitation recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.

Bought a car from this dealership, they worked with me when my credit was not the best in world (this I might add is the reason I drove from Chattanooga to Cookeville to buy a car). They talked a big talk when we bought the car and now here we are and the car needs work. They are trying to tell me that the repair is not covered on the warranty that it came with after I had to bring the car to them and they had told me on the phone BEFORE I wanted to waist a trip that far that my problem WOULD be covered. Now they are wanting to way over charge me for the repair and I have to get the car towed back to Chattanooga to get it worked on where I could have in the first place if these people wouldn't have me that my problem would be covered. We will never buy from this lot again and I feel sorry for anyone that does and doesn't know how dirty they can do people. Also the people that own this dealership own several others, so make sure wherever you buy a car next time that they have nothing to do with the people who own this.

Love Honda Cars. don't like Cookeville Honda. At first seemed they were on our side. never did tell us about our trade-in. We got a promotional letter saying our car has a trade-in value of $11,000 but we offer you $13000 as a trade-in. now we are not that stupid. we knew our car wasn't worth that, but we went along anyway. what transpired was we got baffled by figures.we were shown monthly payments. okay we can do that. So the contract being a sheet as long as our arm was presented before us, folded so you don't see. Our fault. we didn't have them talk us through it. we never read it. they talked to us about everything but the sale " total cost" never got discussed. All we got is,I'm a good Christian guy.our church has got this special program for different people not your normal moral high class. no time for Christians "crooks in disguise" as Elvis sang which seems to be our song "there's a fool such as I" what was a $23000 plus car ended up $28,586.00 after the trade-in that price was $32,710.60 they were thoughtful they gave us a $995 service plan for $1900. Have you ever felt such a fool. Oh well Jesus will be saying well done my good and faithful servant in reference to the Finance manager... I was looking for the finance managers name but two came up, didn't want to discredit maybe a good guy, so if a small blonde squinted toothed guy tells you how much The Lord blesses his flock, "run you may get done." I had people say what a nice car yes indeed it is , and I will tell you where I got it so you don't go and get fleeced. NEVER NEVER go to Cookeville Honda, Honda yes great cars , but be wise and stay away. I'm not angry I just feel such a fool.

From the president of this dealership to some their service advisors (some woman named Jenny), these are some of the worst people in this business. I wasn't expecting much from a Honda dealer in a small city, but Wow! these people take the "customer service" one notch below worst. Stay away from these people. Do yourself a favor and get a VW or a Nissan made in Tennessee!

My husband and I have been in the market for a van for months now. I have been shopping around and found a van from Cookville Honda. I noticed the chat option lit up and decided to ask a few questions before we drove the 100 miles to look at the van. Internet manager Jason Fox came on and was AWSOME!!! He answered all my questions and the ones he could not answer he got back with me real quick. He even offered to take more pics of the van and email them to me!!! The Cookeville Honda Dealer installed in June 2012 an air-conditioner compressor, which exploded in fragments 3 months later. These broke all my belts, including the timing belt-yes, it did, penetrating the casing first. Of course I did not know or even imaging that at the time. Knowing nothing about cars, (I'm a single female, over 70 years old, a nurse) when the noise started I thought it was something for my regular mechanic, to fix. I had been going to that mechanic for years. He's the one who found the fragments and told me all the belts were broken. He fixed the belts right away and gave me the fragments to show Honda. Her also gave me a written statement of his findings. Honda Dealer was not impressed, refused to believe the fragments could have broken the timing belt and refused to pay for the repairs that had been done. All it paid for was for some of the broken belts, not all; nothing for labor. It did not pay for even a third of my damages. Very uncompromising, scornful, downright humiliating attitude towards a non-rich customer. I would not recommend this dealer, because of its scornful and humiliating attitude.I still have the fragments to show to whoever, plus the statement of my mechanic.Cecile Muller

Sales department needs new manager. They raised the price after the purchase price was met. Once the original purchase price was met, the manager wanted more. I made 3 additional offers totaling $600 but was told the manager needed more. This dealership was by far the worst. I've brought at least 20 new cars in 45 years and Cookeville Honda will fleece you if they get the chance. Purchase your next car anywhere but there.....

Cookeville honda knowingly sold me a broken car. Then on top of it all, when i told them about it they tried to sell the car to someone else!!!!!! Then they give me a warrenty the does not cover what was broken on the vehicle and refuses to give me all the money back. All the people here are a bunch of crooks. They sell cars that are not dangerous and not drivable. Dont be sold.

I just purchased my first Honda Ridgeline at Cookeville Honda. The salesman, Jason Fox, was such an awesome salesman that he made the whole experience well worth the time that was spent looking and test driving everything that interest me. He was honest and upfront and has to have the patience of a saint to have spent all the time ( a few months) that he did finding me the perfect vehicle at such a good price. He's done all he has said he would do and taken very good care of our needs without being pushy. I would highly recommend anyone in the market for a vehicle (new or used) to go see Jason Fox. He isn't your typical salesman... he's the one who goes that extra mile (or a few miles in my case) to assure you leave with the right vehicle for you, at the right price.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Jason Fox on 8/8/2011 with the used Honda Dealer here in Cookeville. It was my second attempt to purchase a car that day that I wanted. I had started with Hyundai b/c they had a Honda Element advertising that I was told that they could send me home in- well obviously they didnt nor did they provide friendly service. As imagined, I left very upset. I told them that I would just go to Honda to try b/c I NEEDED a car and their response was- well they are going to tell you the same thing. WOW! I was speechless and as soon as I went to Honda- Jason greeted me and my 5 yr old son with a welcoming pleasant 'lets get it done' attitude once I told him what transpired. He not only made it pleasant for me, he was amazing with my child. I test drove the car that I picked out :) after already being told by Jason, ohhh we will be able to help, I loved it and wanted it. Needless to say, as I was signing my paperwork for my purchase, he (after asking) sat with my child and allowed him to play bowling on his Smart Phone! He was a pleasure to deal with from the get go! As a consumer, I trusted him with finding something tailored to my needs and he found it. As a mother, I trusted him with my child for a good 10 minutes and he exceeded my expectations! My experience with Cookeville Honda Preowned started with an online application and browsing the inventory online. Within a short amount of time I recieved a phone call from Mr. Jason Fox. He was very informative and was truely interested in helping me find the right car for me. When arriving at the dealership he was on hand and ready to assist me. Within no time I had my car picked out and was ready to sign my paperwork. Thanks to Mr. Fox, he had given me a list of things needed prior to me coming to the dealership therefore making the paperwork part of the process go super fast!! I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Fox, he even took the time to show me how my complicated stereo worked. It turned out to be a small problem, but I wanted to trade vehicles. Mack Phann the sales manager came out, and met with me, and answered all of my questions personally! The car was exactly as it was promised!
