I would highly recommend not giving this business your business. Their appraisal system is a complete joke, made a two hour trip for them to offer me a 1/4 of a clean trade in value on my vehicle, and then kept pressing me to buy a vehicle from them. Also was told if I had a vehicle shipped here from any other carmax that I was obligated to buy, which I know is false, but obviously some of the salesman might need some more training. Went to a different dealership and received 10,000 on my trade in which carmax valued at 4500. Place is a joke, highly do not recommend.

A game of salesmanship with lots of lies told as enticements. Given a vehicle with a problem or two missed on their 125 point checklist (so much for that folks). Took 3 1/2 days for them to get it in the shop to look at it as they were closed on both weekend days for service. Their 5 day pledge to let you try it and bring it back by the 5th day and get your money back is very misleading. You don't walk out your door with the money you paid them either in cash or a check. You have to wait "about a week" to get it from their home office in Virginia. Also - they wholesaled my traded in vehicle, so I no longer had any car of my own. That went out on the 2nd or 3rd day of my trying out the newer car I had paid for entirely. Serviice dept. personnel I would call to speak with were, in all fairness, very helpful and polite. I don't blame them for management's trickery and deceit. The check I paid them by the way, cleared my account on a Monday when I wrote it the Saturday before. So the story is they are quick to trick you out of your money and traded-in vehicle and very s - l - o - w to get you your refund. Perhaps they thought that would make me change my mind. Then again, it didn't scare me to have no car, just made me more determined to buy one from ANYONE but them. Sleazy salesman never demonstrated any of the features of the car, just handed me two sets of keys after collecting my check, trade in keys and had signed the paperwork. He was a real loser and another reason why they lost me as a customer for life.

My mother and I went to Carmax with the intention of doing a trade-in with our 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. We wanted to downsize on the amount of vehicles that we owned and had discussed the possibility of purchasing a new car for next year. We worked with a sales consultant by the name of Mike Snyder, who was very friendly and helpful! In a few hours we were able to sell the van and use the rest of the money to purchase another car that was within our price range, dependable, and roomy. Mike didn't try to get us to purchase a vehicle that was "out of our range" or anything that would've required us to pay "out of our pocket." He was straight-forward and honest; my mother and I had dreaded the idea of meeting a typical car salesman who tries to get a lot of money out of their client. We've purchased vehicles from Carmax before and we're glad that we did it again! We'll be back to trade-in our other vehicle, but it was an exciting and fruitful experience!

The associates were extremely helpful when I was looking. But as soon as I purchased the car, they practically shoved me in at and sent me on my way. No explanation of who or how to pay since I was doing a loan through Carmax, no other significant information. Purely for the sell and to get me off the lot. Since this time, I have tried calling my sales associate almost 5 times and he has never called me back. Once he texted me and once he emailed me. They didn't even give me the right receipt of the check I wrote. I had to call and remind them. Then they sent my title information to the wrong county and I spent 3 hours waiting in line and traveling to DMVs only to be told I need to call Carmax and have them resend. I called Carmax twice that Friday with no help, and they finally told me they would call the DMV on Monday and get it straightened out and then call me back. They didn't so I called them on Tuesday and they had forgotten. So now I have to go back. I'm pleased with my vehicle, but I can't wait to pay it off and have nothing to do with Carmax ever again. When I was looking, I would have definitely recommended friends and family to go there, but now I will not. Also, when I was signing paperwork for the car, I was told they would clean the interior and exterior, only to find some strange waxlike substance splattered all over the passenger side ceiling. I hate to give such an appalling review, but I've been very upset with Carmax since the purchase of my car.

Very easy buying process. No if's and's or but's in their pricing. Service is outstanding and very affordable compared to other dealerships and shops. The parts needed wouldn't be available in time for our road trip so they gave us a loaner. Mostly our fault for waiting till last minute to get it fixed but they were very accommodating. Excellent top notch service.

Looked around town for a couple of months but could not find the vehicle with the options and mileage I wanted. Took about a month and found want I wanted thru CarMax. My salesman Sam Weisswas always good at returning my calls and was able to get hold of him at about anytime. Car is coming in from Colorado and will see how the rest of this transaction works out but so far I am very happy.
