Exceeded expectations, purchased a vehicle which was advertised a fair price, what I expected was some items would need replacement. What we received was vehicle ready to go with no issues, with any items which needed work completed. This was purchased for a business, and we will definitely be looking to purchase more from this dealer in the future.It was bit of a drive from Ithaca, absolutely worth it!

It was time to let go of my old vehicle, but needed the right price, quality, and services. I could have not picked a better place to stop and shop. First, I did the online viewing to be ready. The car I wanted was there, did a test drive, and started in on the paperwork. I had my questions and concerns answered professionally and promptly. The vehicle was ready the next day, of course, paperwork was necessary and then I was on my way. The car rides smooth, comfortable, and safe. The staff are friendly, professional, and willing to assist. All in all a great experience

For a couple weeks I was looking for a car. I went to many different dealerships in the area, but I feel in love with Bulter's auto. The whole staff were very helpful and answered all my questions I had. The sales person Austin was the best. He was very patient and gave a lot of feed back to what I needed. He answered all my questions promptly and made sure I completely understood everything that was going on. I now the proud owner of the newest car I ever owned and I love it. I was looking for a specific model, Dodge Grand Caravan, and they had just what I wanted with low mileage and a great price. They were happy to have my mechanic review the vehicle before purchase and made sure that all the minor issues were corrected before purchase. Dave, the Sales Rep, was wonderful to work with and was responsive to all my questions and concerns. I'd come back again and will definitely recommend Butler to my friends.

I knew exactly what I wanted to purchase and Todd, Tyler and their team were terrific at making it happen seamlessly and very quickly. There was no hassles- they did not try to talk me into buying something else. They worked past closing time with smiles on to accommodate me. I was impressed with the service I received at the Butler dealership when I recently bought a used car there. I was impressed with the salesman, Dave Miller. He wasn't pushy, giving me time to try the car out, to look up and.or print any reports on the car, either specific or in general, like a safety record for that year, make and model. He answered questions, even listening to anything that might seem unimportant to him or others.He arranged with the service department for me to be able to take a thorough look at the car I was considering.He facilitated and took care of every detail, no matter how small.Butler's put all new tires and brakes on my car at their expense.Since I upgraded to seven years newer car, Dave Miller showed me how to use the accessories when I was ready to take the car.Please do not use my e-mail address beyond this review.

I have to say the buying process for me was very different. I actually "bought" the car when I was 260 miles away. I had my son go look at cars for me and take some test drives. He was treated very kindly by the sales staff who provided him all the assistance he needed. In the end he was able to choose a car that would was the best fit for my needs. I filled out the application online and came in the next Saturday and drove away. Worst part of the whole process is that I never even got to meet the salesman that helped out my son that day. Thanks to the Butler team for helping me out in my time of need.

Absolutely the best experience ever had purchasing a car. We've purchased in Oneonta, GA, Texas and California and nothing compares to the friendliness, accommodating staff as Butler Auto Sales. He helped us get just the type of car that would fit our needs and budget. He took the time to answer all my questions and showed me the features of the car, even more that once with great care and concern. My wife and I were thinking about purchasing a second car and said why not check out some cars dealerships while in Sidney late Friday afternoon and we stopped in and were wandering through the lot when Amy came out and she was very polite and courteous to us. We explained our situation to her and she was very understanding and definitely not the usual pushy salesperson we expected. On Tuesday we went back after deciding to go with a car from Butler Auto and Amy was very helpful in getting us the car we decide on. All the staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and courteous to us Todd did an amazing job with the paperwork to keep the payments in our budget range, but we think it all started with that first interaction with Amy she is an outstanding employee and very dedicated to her job. My girlfriend and I started looking for a second vehicle for her to drive and while shopping, we found a Kia at Butler auto sales. My girl friend has wanted a kia soul since they were first produced. We came down and met with Kevin J, one of the salesmen at Butler. Kevin was polite, respectful and courteous through out the buying process. He got us where we needed to be payment wise and term wise. The issues that we had were out of Butlers (and Kevins control); but Butler was helpful at every oppurtunity. The lender and my insurance company were being difficult because we are not married (Gotta love NYS DMV / Insurance). Kevin was right there every step of the way to assist and see through to resolution. Kevin's professionalism was greatly appreciated by myself and girl friend, who would recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle and will certainly return when back on the market. Shopped their online store while searching vehicles for my daughter. We drove to the dealership to check a few vehicles that we had picked out. We looked at them on the lot with no "over the shoulder" sales personnel. Once we decided on a few, we approached the sales department and met with Kevin about arranging some test drives. We drove several vehicles and decided on one of them. We met again in the sales office to discuss "the numbers". Their pricing was very fair and reasonable relative to the market for that particular vehicle. The vehicle was in excellent shape as described in the online post. I told Kevin that I needed to think about the numbers since it was a vehicle that was a little outside the price range I had set. We parted ways with no pressure to buy. The next day Kevin called me to follow up and discuss the numbers I had in mind. We hashed out a good deal for both parties. They even delivered the vehicle to my work place to complete the paperwork. Great dealership!!! I love the fact that we could discuss the vehicles, rather than pressure the sale. One of my coworkers made a purchase there last year with the same positive experience.

I am 17 years old, looking to buy a car that is safe and at a reasonable price. Both my Grandparents purchased from Butler Auto in the past and are were pleased. I walked in and was greeted with courtesy and respect. The salesman, Dave was extremely helpful. I never had credit and could not even get a credit score. They got me credit and a payment that I can afford. Even though I needed a co-signer for the loan, I felt like I was in charge of the whole process. When I went to pick up the car I felt like I was treated as an "Adult". As a first time buyer I am pleased with the process and the vehicle. I would DEFINITELY recommend Butler Auto Sales for any person who is looking to buy a vehicle without any hassles.

I came across Butler Auto Sales while searching online for a replacement pickup truck. They're in Sidney, NY and I'm in Delaware. For me, distance is not an issue if the right car and deal can be worked out. In our case it worked! I traveled the 4 hrs to check out the truck and it was pretty much as described. This dealer is a no hype, honest, work out a deal operation. A great change from the big dealerships near my home. Because I visited on a weekend and NY State inspection laws, I couldn't take the truck home with me. My Sales rep Amy agreed to help me by meeting me half way with the truck when it was ready. Like I said...They were willing to go the extra 100 miles to work out a deal with me! Not only would I recommend them, I would look forward to purchasing another vehicle next time in spite of the distance. My thanks to Amy & Todd for a job well done!

This is my first review EVER (for anything) but I had to write about what a great experience we had at Butler Auto Sales. We drove over an hour and a 1/2 because Butler had one of the cars we were considering purchasing. So glad we made the trip. Amy Ingraham went above and beyond and was always super friendly and low key. We never felt rushed or pressured---and she was so patient and willing to let us test drive as many cars as we wanted. She also responded quickly to tons of emails I sent her with questions. We wound up with a great car, at a great price, and they offered us a fair trade-in allowance for our previous car. Todd, who handled the financial end, was also great. No pushy sales tactics from him either. Yes, he offered us options on extended warranties and financing, but he never pushed us. I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend this dealership without any hesitation. I expect to go back again when shopping for cars for my children. I trust them to make sure we'd get another great car at a great price.

I had been shopping for a specific vehicle for over a year and had been jerked around and pressured by many car dealers. From the moment I contacted Butler Auto Sales, I was treated courteously, honestly, and fairly with no high pressure tactics. Dave Miller was great to deal with. He was honest and "up front" with me, and did not pressure me at all. Wow! How refreshing! After we made the deal, Todd finalized the paperwork and, again, did not pressure me with extras and add-ons I did not want or need. When we picked the car up, my wife was amazed at how nicely and courteously we were treated "after the deal was made". After driving the car for the past 3 1/2 months, I am convinced I bought a great vehicle at a fair price, just the vehicle I had been looking for. This was the best car buying experience ever! I was allowed a fair trade value and though I wasn't buying the most expensive car on the lot I felt as though my purchase was important to them too. We came here to buy one car. We left with two. We traded in our cars and given the most value we could have hoped for. We left with the cars we wanted and saved $200 a month from what we were paying. I bought a 2015 Chevy Cruze from Butler Auto this week; it was my first experience with buying a new car as a 23 year old. All of the employees were wonderful and went out of their way to make it an easy process. After shopping around at other car dealers, I found that I was much more comfortable here and they were not pushy like other dealers were. Kevin answered any questions I had and helped my set up my bluetooth when I went to pick up the car. Todd in financing was a huge help and was patient to help guide me through the process and consider my best options. I'd recommend Butler auto to anyone seeking a new or used vehicle. Made my first buying experience smooth and easy!

After totaling my car I did a search on Cars.com and came upon this dealer. I live over 40 miles away and really didn't want to drive that far but they had the car that I needed. (And I emphasize the word needed!) I talked with Kevin Jones on the phone and asked questions like, "please tell me its service record because I just had brakes done on mine, same year and I don't want to buy something that is going to need fixing in a short period of time." He went over everything with me. I finally decided to go look at the car and was very pleased. Kevin gets an A+ in people skills. He is very nice and easy to talk to and up front about everything. I said "Above and Beyond" and that is because they offered to come and pick me up to get my car because I was having trouble finding a driver to take me down to Sidney. WHO DOES THAT! Would I recommend them? Absolutely!

We just happened to stop by on our way to Binghamton after spending a previous day at other auto dealers in this area trying out vehicles but not finding what fit our needs and becoming quite frustrated. Tyler was wonderful, not pressuring us as we tried several different kinds of vehicles and finally decided on one that met our priorities. We appreciated his willingness to answer our questions and his patience in our decision making process. He even offered to give us trade in for our other vehicle, which was headed to the crushers as it could no longer be driven. That was a bonus and saved us a lot of additional running around and paperwork. We were a little confused by some of the financial info and warrantee offers, which were different than our past experiences purchasing a vehicle, but as a whole, the we were satisfied with our experience.

Butler Auto Sales in Sidney NY- David Kurtz is the General Manager at Butler's Auto Sales in Sidney, NY. I was very pleased with his help and kindness during the time I was looking at and then purchased a vehicle from them. David called me back when I had a question right away and solved any problems I had. He is clearly a major asset to the Butler team. He made sure even after the sale anything I needed was addressed. He set me up with Todd Skellett who is the Finance Manger. Todd helped me purchase an extended warranty because my vehicle miles were pass Ford warranty. I love the vehicle I bought and I would also like to mention the young man in the service department Tom. Tom was very professional and explained what work they did on my car before I picked it up. They had changed the brakes and I noticed a noise. They found the problem and fixed it right away. I am new to the purchasing a vehicle process. They made the process pleasant and with minimal stress. Mike Butler has put together a fine team of employees and he must be very proud of his staff.

My mom and I were shopping for a more reliable and dependable vehicle. It was the first car buying experience we were to encounter since my father passed away. We were met in the parking lot by Dave. He asked what we were looking for and we told him our requirements and our budget. He showed us a couple vehicles, and then we told him about one we had been checking on the website. He took us right to the vehicle, no questions asked and let us take it for a test drive. We fell in love with the car, went back and started the paperwork. Two days later, we drove away in our new car! We had an incident unfortunately,. We called Dave, and the matter was resolved very quickly and efficiently, and courteously. Forget about guaranteed credit as advertised. They try 3 local banks then call it a day. This is fine for many but horrible for some. My credit is not great but my husband isn't bad and still they turned us down. My family has dealt with Butler's for years and always had great things to say until now. Not to mention I still have the previous car I purchased from them and it is next to impossible to get the service department on the phone to set up a repair!! I have seen a serious decline in this place over the past 4 years. Sad.

I made multiple calls and many internet searches prior to finding Butler Auto Sales. They were a bit out of the driving range we were looking in but I made the inquiry. In all the calls I made asking questions about vehicles during my search, Kevin was the most cordial, respectful salesperson I spoke too so the reviews seemed to ring true. Because of that we made the trip and we are so thankful we did. We found the vehicle exactly as pictured, and there were multiple very detailed pictures so we had a good idea of what we would find. Kevin met us in the parking lot, no searching for someone to talk to. There were one or too small details that were of concern but Kevin and his co workers corrected all to our great satisfaction. I am not one to give excellent reviews unless I received excellent service. We received excellent service. In fact Kevin and Butler Auto did such a great job they are going to look for a specific vehicle I am interested in. If they come through then they will have sale #2 from this household.

I saw an Elantra that I liked on the lot. By the time I contacted them to test drive it they had sold it. Within a few days they had found me another very clean Elantra in the color I wanted at the price I was willing to pay...with low mileage. After visiting Butler's Auto Sales, looking to trade our vehicle in on something more suitable for our family we were able to find something that suited us. Mark was NOT a pushy salesman like other dealers are, after speaking with him briefly on what we were looking for he gave us some options that they had on the lot. He told us if we had any questions to just ask and left us to walk freely around. We felt very comfortable walking around looking at all the different vehicles they had to offer without a salesman looking over our every move. We test drove several vehicles and came upon a truck that they had literally just drove onto the lot. We looked it over and came back the next day to test drive it. We were able to come up with a deal on the price and trade in. Todd in the financial department was able to start the process of getting our loan and made it so easy to deal with. We came back to get our new truck and the process was so easy and no stress at all. They made us feel comfortable each time we came in the office. Everyone who works there are very professional, courteous and made you feel at ease. Very glad that we took our time with searching vehicles and found the one that was right for us.

My daughter and I were just looking but then a the salesman, Alex came to help. He was great. He knew what he was talking about and he was very friendly, as well as professional. We talked about the kind of car we were looking for and Alex showed us several for us to choose from. Later, the finance guy, Todd, was a great help finding us a bank. Alex made sure the car was clean, had gas in the tank and even went on a test drive twice with my daughter and me. Alex also made sure to have a crack in the spedometer case fixed for us. I was looking for a car on the web for 2 months (Accord, Camry, Sonata, Fusion). Butler Auto came up a few times with vehicles that I was looking for. When I decided to get serious about buying a car Butler Auto came up with a model I was interested in. After driving to the dealership I was looking at the vehicle when Mark came out and introduced himself and we started to talk. I gave him a rundown of what I was looking for and a price range. He showed me a Sonata they had and it was a nice looking vehicle. The numbers were a bit out of my range but I gave an offer and they said yes. I now have a Sonata which I really like. They went through the vehicle to make sure it was ready to go and in tip-top shape (not just wash and dry). This is a sign of a quality dealership. Everyone was very friendly and you were treated with respect. They were not pushy or arrogant and were more like friendly neighbors. If you are looking for another vehicle or a second vehicle do not hesitate to stop in to talk, you probably will be glad you did. An excellent place to do business. Thanks to everyone at Butlers.

I was specifically looking for a 2007 Subaru Outback Sedan. After doing a search on Cars.com, I took a drive to Butler Auto Sales in Sidney NY, approximately 65 miles from my house. They had the car I was looking for on their lot and it was in extremely great shape for a 2007. I was dealing with Zackary the Sales Professional and Todd in finance, they both worked diligently with me until the numbers worked in my favor. The professionalism and customer service I received from these two gentlemen is something I never experienced while purchasing a car. As an out of town buyer, they even delivered the car to my house with new tires and brakes, something I didn't even ask for. This was by far my best car buying experience to date. I was searching cars.com for a 2007 Subaru Outback Sedan, a car that's not easy to find and the 2007 was the last production year for the sedan model. Butler Auto sales had one listed so I made the 62 mile trip to see it. I must say, I bought many cars over the years and the staff there is second to none. Not only was the car super clean, it was exactly what I was looking for. I dealt with Zach and Todd, they both are down to earth guys and they worked with me to meet my bottom line without any pressure at all. They even offered to deliver the car to my house 62 miles away so I took them up on it. The car was delivered to my house with 4 new tires and all new brakes, something they didn't have to do but did. This was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had period!! Salesman Mark was friendly and not pushy. They did not try to push me into spending more money then I could afford and answered all my questions in a straight forward manner. I was provided with the check list of all the things they checked and anything they repaired before I picked up my car. They even called my insurance company to arrange for temporary insurance and also a temporary registration.

This is the second time I purchased a vehicle through Butler Auto. The first time I had purchased a 2010 Honda Civic and, although there was a ton of paperwork and hurdles to jump, I was able to buy the car. I had tried at local dealerships and I could not get approved. Today, the Honda is in excellent condition and yesterday I had just purchased a 2012 Nissan Juke. This time, the process was much easier and faster, and the Juke is in excellent condition. I was very impressed with the buying process this time around. I love Butler Auto and would defiantly buy from again. They sell quality, reliable, used cars, have a friendly staff that is compassionate about what they do, and go out on a limb to get people into their vehicles.

I bought a Kia at Butler's in late March. I had to go to another dealership to fix the check engine light problem after they tried several times while I was give a hooptie to drive. 6000 miles later my new front tires are bald on the inside on both sides. I was given a free front end alignment when I bought it. Good job guys. Check all your fluid levels because they won't do it for you no matter what they tell you. Vehicle was reasonably priced but the service department is the worst ever.

butlers sold a very nice car from right under me for one and my current problem Is I bought a very nice Nissan this winter and the first test drive of it I loved it but it made a very loud noise and the salesman said don't worry there just brand new all weather tires. So that being said I believed him and was very happy with my new car! But the beginning of last month my tire fell off randomly!! I had my uncle who Is a certified mechanic and would trust him with my life tow my car to his shop he said I needed a new wheel bearing. sop fine he fixed that 200$ later as I drove my car that night the "loud tires" sound was gone! if u can put two and two together I was sold a car with a bad wheel bearing and its not even been two weeks my check engine light went on.. I now need two plugs a tire rode new breaks and every time I hit my breaks my lovely car turns off:) I will not being returning to butlers anymore and I have heard many many stories and have many many friends and even co-workers who is going threw the same issue! I was looking for a AWD Car that was as new as I could afford. Butler was highly recommended by my father who has purchased 3 cars from them in the past. After looking online Butler seemed to have the most to chose from. I stopped in expecting to visit 3 other dealers that day. Butler had the car I liked the most when looking online. These have actually happed to me from previous dealers in the past. 1- no car jack in car when I got my first flat, 2- got home and found the e-break was broken. needed 500$ cable. 3- exhaust heat shield fell of 2 miles from dealer. No unpleasant surprises this time. Butler will be the first place I look for my next preowned car or truck.

My family has been buying cars from this dealership for about 18 years now. Any time we had a question, comment or concern they were right there for us. I even remember getting ready to go school shopping with my mom and sister and she got a flat tire right inbetween sidney and bainbridge. Not knowing who to call we called Butlers. The brake light came on two days after buying the used vehicle. I took it in and they replaced the brakes and calipers which caused the problem at no cost to me saying they should have caught it before I picked up the car. Great service!!! Five-Star rating? I would give Kevin Jones (sales rep) and Butler Auto Sales a Six-Star Rating or a Seven-Star Rating if it were possible! The high standards for quality customer service and auto value was obvious right from the start. We purchased our vehicle on 8/20/13 and their service was absolutely outstanding. We went to Butler Auto Sales to look at a couple of higher priced vehicles for ourselves, as well as a couple of lower priced vehicles for our daughter (who will be entering college this Fall). From the moment we arrived, we were treated with very prompt and the most courteous service. There was no high pressure sales pitch at all. Rather, Kevin demonstrated a concern for our needs and wants, and made a number of suggestions for us to consider. He even introduced us to a some vehicles/models that were not on our radar that we really liked. He was extremely knowledgeable of all the vehicles, and answered any and all questions. The atmosphere was very relaxed, cordial, and most welcoming. We felt Kevin really heard us and understood where we were coming from. We finally decided to purchase a vehicle for our daughter. It was one of the lower-priced vehicles (2004 Kia Amanti). Kevin treated us as if we had purchased the most expensive car on the lot! He took care of all the paperwork, even negotiated a lower interest for us, and to our surprised, added a six month guarantee! When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, it looked HOT! Butler Auto Sales had it thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and polished from top to bottom! Kevin reviewed carefully with us all the details of their thorough inspection of the vehicle, and all the items they had repaired/replaced if necessary. (They had even replaced the wipers with new ones!). Needless to say, they left nothing to chance. In my 40+ years of buying used vehicles, no dealer has ever come even close to matching the service, quality, value, courteousness, honesty, integrity, understanding, and deal that Butler Auto Sales gave to us. They even ran off an auto report (similar to CarFax) that detailed the history of the vehicle. (I compared it with CarFax?s history, and it was identical. However, Butler Auto Sales report was free, and CarFax's report cost me $50.00. So save yourself some money and skip buying a CarFax. They will run a similar report on the car for free!). I could say much more, but I think you can catch my drift. I highly recommend Butler Auto Sales, and especially Kevin Jones. I am sure the other reps are also great. There seems to be a spirit of honesty, integrity, outstanding customer service etc. that permeates the place and everyone who works there. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with them. What about the car? Well, it runs like a charm, is a pleasure to drive, and all systems and devices work perfectly. We love it! We have received many compliments on the car. Butler Auto Sales has gained another loyal customer. We will be returning to make additional purchases. As you check out vehicles and dealerships, be sure to also check out Butler Auto Sales. My opinion is this: You will doing yourself a disservice if you not check them out. It is more than worth the drive should you live out of town as we do (Ithaca, NY). I bought a dark red 2012 Hyundai Sonata SE from Butler Auto Sales yesterday. This was the 3rd vehicle purchased from them. I bought all 3 from Mark Bryden in sales. He is a pleasure doing business with. I am very happy with the car buying experience at Butler's. They offer a good price on vehicles they are selling. The process is easy and simple. No high pressure sales. They have always done what they agreed to do. I will buy from them again someday. Good people, good cars!

When it comes to buying a New Car, we have allot of information to use to find just what we want and stay in or close to our price line. This isnt so when it comes to buying a used car. We can do our homework the best we can using the NADA book and Kellys Blue book, but that gets confusing and we have no idea how the last owner drove the car we want. A deer destroyed the front end of my spare car and it was just not worth putting on body parts , paint Exct exc. One nice thing about living in or near a small town everyone knows everyone. Being 60+ I know most of the dealers in the Sidney area and allot of the mechanics. I went to Butler Auto Sales and explained what price line I wanted to stay in and I was pretty open to any make as long as it had a atomic Trans. They had a couple cars in my price range but liked the Chevy Malibu. I was a very clean car but had not gone through the garage yet so the price could end up a thousand or more over my budget and still be in the Blue Book pricing criteria. The Salesman was great and went to the owner Mr. Butler and explained what I was interested in. After a drive, I was asked again what I thought. This is a clean very nice Malibu, that I now wanted. Being a Disabled Veteran and it being Memorial Day Weekend, Mr. Butler told the salesman that if I wanted the car, take off $500, and through in a 2 yr warrantee at no coast. This is a dealership that wants to sell good used cars at fair prices. I picked the car up this morning, happy as could be.

I went to butlers to look at a car kevin came right out we took the car for a test drive they called a few hours later told me that I could pick it up the next day. everything was ready when I got there the whole transaction was fast and made easy for me. I love the car and appreciate the care that was shown to me. the only thing that I feel that they could improve upon is that the car should have a full tank of gas. I would like to thank kevin for his kindness and courtesy. I would recommend butlers to anyone looking for a new car. thanks to all!!!!

Since buying my wife's car there, and seeing the quality of the service, I have been taking ALL of my vehicles to them for service and repairs. I think that says all that needs to be said about their service department. And the sales department is just as good. The price is always on the car and there's no high pressure sales badgering. But they're available when you want them, to answer questions, set up a test drive, etc. Always courteous and helpful. The shopping and buying experience was excellent.

I went into my service appt thinking the worst as another garage had told me something in my frontend was wearing out. Turns out the shimmy was just caused by worn brakes and rotors. Staff took me into the garage and showed me the worn parts while explaining cost before starting repairs. Professional and friendly service.

I bought a Chevy Malibu back in November 2012. In late Feb. I heard a noise in the front that wasn't right. Took the vehicle in and they changed the rotors for free. I had crashed my beloved Jeep and was on a mission of looking for another. I had worked with another dealership in the past and was happy with working with them but Butler really went above and beyond in my book. I didn't end up with another Jeep, I bought another vehicle that I am very pleased. I worked with Mark and Robert and they really looked for the best rates and listened to my wants/needs in a vehicle. They really kept in contact with me since the buying process wasn't an easy task on my end. They contacted me when the received new vehicles and once I had decided on the vehicle that I wanted they kept in contact with me about the financing. They were patient and understanding. I would highly recommend working with Butler. I had stopped at other dealerships and they were your typical pushy sales person, "sit down, lets get to know each other" which translates to "let's crunch numbers before you even get a chance to look at a vehicle." I was not pleased with them. However, Butler gave me the chance to look around the lot before saying anything about price. They answered my questions regarding different vehicles. And they respected my opinion on vehicles that I did not like and didn't try to push that vehicle on me because it was in my price range. Butler sales people treated me like a human and understood that life sometimes gets in the way.

I have been avoiding this shop because I feel as if I am being overcharged for parts most of the time. I had avoided them altogether for a long time because I did not like their service manager. They have rehired Dennis as service service manager with whom I have a good report. I used them for tires because nobody could beat their tire prices. There were other repairs done to my vehicle and again, I just have this sinking feeling that I paid too much for the parts. The labor fee is at $69.00 per hour which is only slightly higher than other shops in the area. Unrelated to my repair experience, the seem to have the best prices by far on used vehicles and I will continue to shop here for used cars.

I needed a car with all-wheel drive for where I live but most of them were out of my price range or not in good condition. Butler's worked with me to get me in a reliable car that I could afford and I love by increasing how much they gave me for my trade-in and working with the bank to bring the price down to what I could afford. Hi have bought 4 cars there all great cars harley anything ever wrong with them and if there is there great at getting it fixed quick and right the first time. the sales guy Mark an amazing guy they all seem nice but he always goes out of his way to take care of his customers they have a great staff there and there finanec man great guy as well will try everything to get the deal with the banks i was searching all over for a van at one point and they had one little high price but it was worth it i was looking for lower price found one but not the same year or car and the dealership didnt want to work with us so i went right back to butler they always take good care of us. ill most likely always be buying there.. I bought my 2010 Dodge Avenger a year ago at Butler Auto in Sidney NY, and the salesman was great, not pushy. Their service department is very friendly also, and get you in and out pretty fast. The best thing about Butler's is that when you purchase a vehicle from them, it is as if they have you become part of their family. They welcome you each time you walk in the door, each member even stops to talk to you. When you have a problem and go there, you tell them the symptoms of the problem, they figure it out, fix it ASAP....without finding a list of other problems like most car dealerships. With Butler's it is not the amount of money they can make from you, it's your customer satisfaction that is important to them!

I bought a car from Butler, drove it off the lot and learned that I had bought a bird magnet! Cruising home that Friday afternoon, one hits my grill and goes THRU it.. I called Butler's because to my dismay my "new" car now has a HOLE thru the grill. They ordered the part and are replacing it at no charge. WOW.. does this kind of service still actually exist you ask...?? YES it does at Butlers! And they took the time to wash my new baby for just bringing it in to have the grill looked at!!! Every one here at this business treats you like a good friend. To me thats better than family. The service is done in a reasonable time frame, people actually care here. I called today because the car I boubght yesterday had a hose that had dry rot going to the windshield washer. They told me to bring it right down and they would fix it, which they did. But, when I got home and looked at the repair the hose had come apart and i had to duct tape it back together - a little more care, and they would have hit a home-run.

These review sites are nice, but the truth is, we all need our own experiences regardless of buying a car, getting medical care or eating in a fine restaurant. Mike Butler was recommended to me about two decades ago by my auto insurance agent. This morning I just picked up my 4th vehicle - count them - FOUR - purchased at Butlers. Interestingly, last Sunday when I got home to Afton from looking on the lot(extensively)I saw a friend I had not seen for some time in the Great American parking lot. Hmmm. It looked to me like she had a new car. We chatted and I told her I was looking for a new used vehicle - right away she piped in with "OMG! I just got this one within the last year from Butler's in Sidney! I love it! Their service dept. is AMAZING!" I shared I just got back from looking on the lot...I had my eye on a Jeep Liberty...you bet I called Mike Butler first thing Monday morning. By Tuesday I was back up there doing a test drive. It was like visiting old relatives. Mike B., Dave C., Mark B., Robert - to name the few I interfaced with. Lots of familiar faces from the service dept., office,etc. An interesting bit of food for thought - When I see the same employees for years on end in any establishment it indicates to me that it probably is a decent place to work. Happy employees generally provide quality service which produces pleased customers who RETURN. Thats me...and you. Enough said. Now I need to sign on to my own job so I can pay for my NEW used Jeep Liberty. Amen? Amen!

Going into the buying process I explained to Jeff Newman and Owner Mike Butler what I was Looking for. They put absolutly no pressure on me and after driving a couple of different cars they recommended the Mazda 6 1. I test drove it and found it to be what I was looking for. The purchase was transaction was simple.

Each time I take my car in for service I get some time to my self. I know that while I get that time my car is in the best hands I can find. And know when I leave I don't need to worry about them taking advantage of me just becaus I'm a woman. My car will be in the best comdition for all my needs. And if I should have a problem all I need to do is make a call to Butler. Also If I need to leave my car thay all ways offer to drive me where I need to go, even if it to the hair dresser and then come and pick me up. Best service you can fine.

We have bought several cars in the past from Butlers and we have always had an excellent experience !!! When we came in to Purchase our recent car from them we were looking around the lot at different ones my main goal with my purchase was to find something that was going to be good on gas I live in Bainbridge and I drive to Norwich for my job. Jeff Newman was such an honest person and pointed out this Honda to us and told us this was the best car to buy if we wanted a car that would get the best mileage on gas and Boy was he right I fill this car once a week and the full tank last me for a whole week I am so impressed with this car its a good car in all different reasons ,Jeff also pointed out that the car has alot of extra safety features ,for our safety. That really made me feel that Jeff also cares about his customers safety and there families and what an awesome feeling to have about someone when you are buying something and feel that the person that is selling it to you cares about every aspect of what you are buying.

over the years of buying vehicles me n my wife have dealt with many dealers n they are all the same all they want is your money. This year we were lookn to buy a 2011 dodge durango n found a few but every dealer we tried dealin with seemed to try n scaming us no dealers mentioned. Me n the wife n our kids go to butlers auto sale n talk w Jeff Newman who doesnt now us at all n treats us like he known us for years, told him what we was lookn for n what the price we wanted to be at so he decides to give mike butler a call, a few days later we had a 2011 dodge durango crew. Butlers auto sale not only went out of their way for my family to get this car they even beat the price of what other dealers where tryin to get. Work was done in a timely manner that fit MY scheduled appointments and activities. Billing error was made and corrected IMMEDIATELY. ALL my questions were answered completely and in words I could understand. I have had a severe brain bleed in the past so this is very important to me. Example-I have snow tires on my vehicle. They put them on before I bought the car from them last year (January 2011) because I needed them to get to my work locations. The salesman drove the vehicle to my worst road and driveway and assured me snow tires would be on the vehicle. I really shouldn't spend money unnecessarily so I asked if I really needed to buy "regular" tires now as I understand snow tires wear down quicker. They looked at my driving mileage history. They explained I don't have to buy tires now because I drive very few miles since being taken out of work for medical reasons October 2012. The folks in sales, service and reception have been very good to me, and I have seen them interact with other customers in the same fine way.
