I make my living selling homes and have been for a long time. I know "sales guys". In all my business dealings in that world and frankly in all areas of my life dealing with sales folks I have never come across a professional better than Paul Ipjian. My lease deal was a bit more complicated than most and he worked out all the kinks and put it together. He even came by my house the day I picked up the car to return a garage door remote I had left in my old car and to pick up an extra set of keys I had to turn in. This was my second transaction with Paul and Bredemann Ford and I am never going anywhere else.

Coming from downtown Chicago, staff members kept that in mind by staying past closing time, etc. I am not tech savvy and was intimidated by all the bells and whistle features of the vehicle, but a patience young lady (Selma) gave me a crash course and took time to help me customized settings to my needs and habits. The financing department explained the process and contracts, coordinated documents and kept things running smoothly. In less than 2 days, I took possession of the vehicle.

My wife and I were out one Saturday and just on a lark we walked into the Bredemann Ford lot to see what was going on with the Ford 150s, old and new. Dan Sakolsky came out, introduced himself , and asked what we were interested in seeing. I told him a 2016 Red F150 and he said he just happened to have one in the basement. Out he drove and my wife took the test ride. Dan was very knowledgeable of the vehicle and understanding of the situation that we might not be buying until 2017. Fortunately, things worked out for all parties. Dan was always professional over a span of 3 or 4 weeks, and finally we went thru an enjoyable negotiation and got the truck we wanted. I would recommend Dan and Bredemann Ford to everyone that will listen.

I recently purchased a Ford Certified 2014 Escape from Bredemann Ford. I found the car online and live in Macomb, IL--about 4 hours away. I originally communicated with Selma, who informed me of the sale price and verified that the car was in great condition (no odors). She then gave my information to Paul, who she said would call me the morning of my visit to verify the car was still available before I left. Instead, Paul emailed me the night before and said he would hold the car for me until my 2pm test drive time the next day. Since I was driving so far to see the car I really appreciated this gesture and it put me at ease that it wouldn't be a wasted trip. Once I got there everyone was very friendly and courteous. Paul gave me time to look the car over on my own before we went for a test drive. I never felt any pressure to buy nor did I feel like they tried to manipulate me with any sales tactics. I feel like I got a great car for a great deal and the whole experience was really the best I could have asked for. I was in and out with my new car in a couple hours. I would highly recommend Paul and Bredemann Ford!

I came to this dealership with many questions. Paul, the salesman I met, was able to answer all of them. He listened to my concerns and answered then honestly and in a way I could understand. He took the time after the test drive to sit down and go over all the numbers. After a night of thinking it over, which really my mind was made up the minute I walked out the door, I gave Paul a call and arranged a time to complete the sale. The day of the sale he and the rest of the staff were very attentive and seemed genuinely excited for me, and that just made my experience better. Steve, in the finance department made the used car loan process easy and painless. He was extremely friendly and explained everything and made sure I understood before I signed anything. Sonya (I hope I remembered her name correctly) was so helpful to explain all the electronics in my new car and also took to time to help sync my phone and set up the navigation. If I could give a negative review I would. This place is the Worst Ford dealership in the area! I have brought my last 6 Fords I have owned to Bredemann for Service. I have not purchased a car from them since my father-in-law runs a car dealership in Milwaukee, WI. I was always fairly happy with the service I have done for the most part. They always provided me with a loaner, which I thought, was out of respect that a family member runs a Ford Dealership in Wisconsin.About 2.5 Years ago, I started having issues with the service provided on my vehicles. The first was a battery issue where they said they inspected my Ford Edge, but they allowed the battery to corrode the compartment, and than tried blaming it on me and wanted to charge me almost $2300 to fix it. I bring in my car ON TIME/ON MILEAGE for its service. It took me 3 hours of fighting with Joe Bredemann to get them to admit they didn't do good enough inspections, and than they proceeded to fix my car.Just this past week, I called to schedule a Works service and to check out my front right brake, which they replaced in January of Last year. They said, they will NOT PROVIDE A LOANER TO ME ANY MORE SINCE I DID NOT PURCHASE MY VEHICLE THERE. I didn't have time to wait for 1.5 hours for them to check my car, so I got into an argument with Jim in there service department. Jim than Transferred me to Steve the sales manager, and his excuse was that "this is Joe Bredemann's decision, and we have more important customers that purchased their automobiles from us, so why should they give me a loaner?". I mentioned that I have had service done here for almost 10-years now, to no avail.After arguing and being so mad, I called the Service Manager at Highland Park Ford and he had me bring my car in immediately after explaining the Brake Issue and the customer service issue at Bredemann. They provided me with a loaner at NO COST, WITHOUT ARGUEMENT! It ends up, that Bredemann really screwed up my brake work done in January of '15. They said it was covered under the warranty and fixed it. Also, I was getting close to needing new tires, so I decided to buy the complete set from them since they were so accommodating. They also did the Works oil change service and everything else. In summation, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM ANY OF THE BREDEMANN DEALERSHIPS ESPECIALLY THE FORD ONE!!! THEY ARE RUDE, UNFEELING, BRUTAL PEOPLE TO WORK WITH. I WILL NEVER EVER GIVE THEM A REFERRAL AND EVEN THOUGH HP FORD IS OUT OF MY WAY GOING TO MY OFFICE, I WOULD RATHER BRING MY CAR TO A GAS STATION FOR SERVICE OVER THEM.DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE A VEHICLE THERE!!!

We were shopping for a small station wagon or equivalent and had spent several weeks on the internet and at dealers' lots on Sundays. We had narrowed it down to a few different makes and models, but had a budget and an idea of the features that were important. By the time we arrived at Bredemann's, we had the Ford Focus Hatchback on the short list. Our salesman, Dan was very thorough and asked all the right questions about what we were looking for. He found a car which was everything we wanted at a fair price. With the rebates the price was within our budget with enough "wiggle room" to add an extended Premium warranty. I originally went to Bredemann only to compare my final numbers that I had from Golf Mill Ford, before walking into Bredemann I had actually put a deposit down on a car at Golf Mill Ford and as I said was literally just making sure I was getting the best deal- good thing I did because Golf Mill Ford was actually scamming me and I ended up going back to Golf Mill Ford to retrieve my deposit. If you are in the market for a Ford vehicle please save yourself time and aggravation and go straight to Bredemann Ford. My Sales associates name was Chester and I would highly recommend him to anyone I know. Chester made my car buying experience exciting and fun. I am a young woman and a novice car buyer; I was actually only in the market to buy a car because my previous vehicle had been totaled in an accident a few weeks back. Knowing the situation I was in Chester was able to help me get the best deal possible, without having to compromise on of the features that I really wanted on the car. Chester was extremely patient with me and answered every question that I had without hesitation. My experience at Bredemann Ford was outstanding thanks to Fred Dial. Fred worked with me for over 6 hours and made the experience as pleasant as possible. Bredemann Ford is lucky to have such a great salesman in their workforce. Fred made the sale in spite of his manager, Ira Schreiber, who was extremely unprofessional. So I'll try to keep this short and sweet I went in to look at a car at Bredemann and met Fred who was super chill and helpful. I liked the car but thought if I shopped around I could get one for a better price. I went to the "other" Ford dealership close by. It was a freaking circus. They lied about pricing on their website making a Ford Focus they had advertised for around 17000 all the sudden turned into 22000! What? But the sales guy said it was still a great deal! As I was leaving after being there way to long they pull up a random sedan and not anything like what I wanted and tell me 15000 out the door? What?Needless to say I went back to Bredmann and Fred after the most painless negotiating. I got an amazing deal and the car I really wanted with all the bells and whistles. I am thrilled! I love Ford's and I had my last one that I bought brand new for 16 years. Thanks to the team at Bredmann especially Fred and Ira. You guys are the real deal!

I had dropped my car off to get the A/C blower fixed, an oil change and at the last moment asked if they did detailing. I have taken my car to get detailed at other places several times. I am a dog owner and long ago made the mistake of getting cloth seats instead of leather so my car seats just never look great. Mike Reyes, the assistant service manager did a good job of explaining the service and the costs so I knew what to expect and was a really nice person to work with. I picked up my car the next day, was charged less money than I was expecting and their detailing work was BY FAR the best my car has ever had. I could not get over how great it looked. We have gone to a few other service places over the years but as Ford owners, we are pretty sold on the ability of our local Ford dealer to do the best job on their own cars. Thanks everyone.

The Lexus dealership next door looks very nice. The Ford dealership deserves to look equally stunning.

I was in the market to trade-in my 2004 Expedition for the new 2015 model. I drove to my closest dealership. I parked in the very bland lot, looked at the few models they had outside for about 10-15 minutes and then went inside. I stood in the middle of the showroom floor and waited 15 minutes to be greeted. There were plenty of employees around without customers -- a regular occurance at dealerships these days, I would presume. I finally walked up to Ben and asked if he wanted to sell me a new car. If I were a dealer, and the auto industry was suffering as it had been (I realize that there has been an uptick recently), I would think that custmer service would be a good starting place. I'm not looking for pushy, wont leave you alone type of tactics, though how about a greeting in the lot or when I walk in the door saying that "We're here to help when you are ready. My name is ______." And how about the bathrooms, showroom floor, lot, etc. Geesh, so dreary. The rest of the experience is exactly as it had been for the past 40 years when my dad first had a Ford dealership. The used car appraisal formula (mine was "line 80" though I sold it privately for "line 160"), the negotiation (I used to take the first offer and go in back for a cup of coffee, mark-up the offer sheet and return saying that the manager wouldn't go that low) and delivery were all the same. They even have the same dot-matrix strip printer printing out some of the contracts. It was a real throw back. In the end, Ben was very nice and attentive, he kept me posted on the delivery date (though it was longer than projected), he followed-up by email to see if he could help with anything and I left on a positive note.

I had an easy time buying the used Escape Limited (since I had seen it on car.com). I was looking for something decent that I can hand down to my son in about three years. The car came with the "Ford Certification" so I did not mind that it had 60K miles on it. It was quite clean. The sales reps (Ben & Selma) that I met were friendly and responded quickly via email. I will probably check them out again in about three years if they have the same deal with an Explorer or something similar.

Just purchased my third vehicle from Bredemann Ford. This time I actually bought a Chevy from them. It's a pre-owned 2009 Malibu with only 25,000 miles and in excellent condition. The other two cars I had bought from them were a 2008 Escape Hybrid and a 2002 Focus which were both new. Traded in the Escape after driving it for 7 years and 95,000 miles. Very good track record with it. Loved the Escape but no longer needed an SUV. Wanted to go back to a sedan. The Malibu was in mint condition and Ira and Ben gave me a great deal. There was never any pressure. Got a great trade-in on the Escape and was driving away in the like-new Malibu with very little money out of pocket. Steve the finance manager recommended a service agreement which I got and was quite affordable.I never have to fear a repair bill even on this used car. The service department is also excellent. And any time they need to keep my car for more than a short time, they provide a free loaner vehicle. As a single person, that's very useful. We happened upon this dealership b/c it was one of the closest Fords in our area. By then we'd already visited five other large, well-known dealerships. Four of those tried to sell us cars that were well overpriced what they were offering online or we could find elsewhere. Three of those only showed us two cars and then expected us to make a decision and started their "hard sell." At two other dealerships, the salesman couldn't even answer basic questions we asked about the cars. We ended up at Ford, and found purely by chance: -A salesman who wanted to help. He showed us many cars, no attitude, no rushing. -Knowledge. Any question we asked he knew, with the exception of a couple, which he found out right away for us. -Quality. The other two dealerships who'd offered certification programs for their used vehicles didn't come close to this one! (IE - 174 point inspection versus 120-point and 109-point at other places.) -Pricing. We went home to make sure we were getting a competitive price . First the salespeople didn't mind at all that we weren't ready to buy the car yet. Second, we went online and could find nothing better for what we were buying! -Financing. Our credit was just so-so, and we got 2.9% financing... It was such a great experience. To be fair, the only negative is that the car was missing one floor mat in the back (if you can call that a negative considering everything else!) I will definitely be going to Bredemann Ford FIRST next time I'm looking for a car.

I purchased a 2014 Ford Fusion from this dealership. The internet department (Michael Bishop) was attentive and fast in response. The quote is detail-rich and clear with terms and conditions. This is in great contrast to quite a few other dealers I worked with - who often try to exclude hidden fees from the quote, while adding rebates that customers are quite unlikely to qualify.When I came into the dealership to discuss the details, Paul Ipjian was the salesman who greeted me. I am impressed with his down-to earth personality. During the price negotiation, there is not the usual long wait when a salesman is paying visit to the manager's desk. He was also very knowledgeable in both the product and car-buying tips. Paul is the kind of good salesman who succeed for his knowledge and personality, rather than "sales tricks".I went in the next work day to take delivery of the vehicle. Paul has diligently worked out all the paperwork issues with the lien holder of my trade-in, as well as all the tax details plus many more. With the help of the business manager (Steve Settler), who has all the paperwork prepared beforehand, I was able to wrap up the delivery in just over an hour. The level of professionalism and efficiency of this dealership is very impressive. At the same time, all the staff mentioned above has been very pleasant to work with. The facility is less than luxury, but the quality people who work there are making the dealership a very competitive alternative to some mega-dealers. I hope to see an equally impressive service department on my next visit.

I am so happy with my experience at Bredemann Ford; my dealer, Paul Ipjian, never pressured me or tried to sell me anything. I made the initial approach to Bredemann, Paul answered all of my questions and concerns without ever making me feel like I was being pushed into making a purchase. Paul was very knowledgeable and had all the answers to every question I asked. When I asked about getting a trailer hitch on my Ford Escape Titanium, Paul recommended that I get a car with a factory installed trailer hitch due to the engine modifications the factory would make to alleviate the weight stress on the engine from the added weight. When I decided to purchase my vehicle on Tuesday evening, it was delivered from Wisconsin the next day with everything I asked for, detailed and ready to pick up Wednesday evening. John is very knowledgeable and he and my husband happily talked cars (I dont speak car) and agreed on what best met my needs. The price he quoted was excellent, and no one tried to sell us anything else. He even worked out delivery around my travel obligations. We got the car yesterday and he spent an hour talking us through the mechanics and technology of my new car. From start to finish, we experienced friendly, respectful, honest dealings that resulted in our feeling comfortable and trusting. John mentioned that Mr. Bredemann had been a Jesuit-trained seminarian. Since I am a graduate of Loyola University, I can testify to the emphasis Jesuits put on ethics in their education. We got the car yesterday and he spent an hour talking us through the mechanics and technology of my new car.From start to finish, we experienced friendly, respectful, honest dealings that resulted in our feeling comfortable and trusting. John mentioned that Mr. Bredemann had been a Jesuit-trained seminarian. Since I am a graduate of Loyola University, I can testify to the emphasis Jesuits put on ethics in their education. We bought a 2014 Ford Focus last week with Steve Travnik and Paul Ipjian at Bredemann Ford. Both salesman were just terrific. I took test drives in two Focuses. Steve gave us a great price and there were no last-minute add-ons. We also got $3000 in rebates from Ford. The new car worked out to be only slightly more than a used 2013 Focus with almost 30,000 miles, so that was an easy choice. Paul knew the car backward and forward. This was a great experience and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Right after leaving the lot in our "as is" used car, a window latch gave out. Even though the sale was "as is", Paul and the team did not hesitate to fix the problem at no cost and provided me a free loaner car to get home. Even though it was late in the day (past 4:30pm) and they said they would need to keep the car overnight to fix it, they turned it around in about an hour and we had the car back by dinnertime. Bredemann really stood behind its sale!

I bought a 2003 Ford Escape from Bredemann in Glenview brand new with 6 miles on it back in '03. I drove it over 163,000 miles before I traded it in on my new 2014 Escape a few days ago. I considered buying a used Explorer or even another pre-owned Escape, but the deal Paul gave us on the new 2014 Escape was too good to pass up. He showed us all models and prices, but again, the new Escapes have a lot of great features like all wheel drive, the moonroof, and the factory roof rack. Paul actually grabbed his tools and made sure we had the rack ready that day so we didn't have to wait.I looked around the year before for a new car, but loved my old car too much and drove it until it wasn't financially viable to fix anymore. Paul remembered me from browsing a year later and the rest is history. I drove it 1300 miles the first two days I owned it down here to Florida. I'll put a few hundred more on my way down to Key West tomorrow. I highly recommend Bredemann, and especially Paul Ipjian, to go get your car. Thanks guys! He was by far the most *chill* salesman I've ever encountered! Very patient, was willing to answer all of our questions, and was a true delight to deal with.Of course we did have a bit of a push with the finance guy, but it wasn't too bad. I let him do his spiel, I wasn't having any of it, and that was pretty much that.

I emailed this dealer and set a price I was willing to pay for a specific car they had. August emailed me back and said we had a deal. I went the following day and August was off so I dealt with Chester. Went for a ride in the car and purchased when we got back. Chester was very knowledgeable and showed me all the numbers. He was even helpful on getting my trade done, which I never trade in but their price was fair.The next day I had to go back to get the car and settle the finance portion. Chester was off that day and had a few hiccups in the beginning but then spoke to Chester from home who handled everything. When I got to the dealership Chester had me meet up with Rick who handled everything in his absence. Rick went through everything for me and took care of everything that needed to be done.Chester and Rick were great to deal with and very helpful. I HATE going to the dealership and dealing with all the sales crap and getting the typical car salesman treatment. This was not the case here. These 2 guys were great and not pushy at all. They were really there to just get you through the process as painless as possible. And they did just that. If you don't want to deal with all the bullcrap that most dealrships throw at you then call these guys. Both were great!!.

Working with Paul Ipjian, we purchased a 2014 Ford Focus. Originally we walked in thinking we would purchase a low mileage used Focus or Fusion, and had selected 2 from Bredemann's website to look at before arriving. Paul arranged for us to test drive the vehicles, and after narrowing our choice to a Focus, Paul helped us compare the purchase price of the used 2013 Focus to the purchase price of a new 2014 Focus. With the great incentives available from Ford for February, we made the decision to purchase the new 2014 Focus as the net price after incentives was actually about the same the best price of the used Focus. We were very impressed that Bredemann does not play games in the purchasing process. Paul was knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful all through the process and we enjoyed our experience with him. The Business Manager, Steve Settler, was very friendly and helpful, and we also enjoyed working with him. I drove in on a late Saturday afternoon in a snowstorm with a slow leak in my rear tire. I was simply looking for air to get home knowing it was late in the day. Chris was the only person I saw and insisted on helping me looking out for my safety. He personally filled the tires, identified the leak and had it fixed while I warmed comfortably in the waiting room. I was on my way in 45 minutes safely in the snow and with a tire like new. I came in to have some keys made from my vin# on my title. Mike Reyes showed me to the parts department walking me across the service area and opening the door for me. Then Russ Howard took care of my keys request, explaining each step and form. He offered me a seat and made my keys. Came back and gave them to me. He said if I needed to come back to just pull in to the service area so I didn't have to walk too far. Both men very kind! If Bredemann employees take care of such a small request with such finesse, I can just imagine what kind of great service they give for big jobs! I will tell everybody I know! Thanks Guys!

My transmission failed late in the afternoon and called to make an appointment only to find out they were booked for a few days. After being told it was an emergency I was told to come in and they would look at it as soon as they had a chance. Within two hours they had trouble shot the problem and given me an estimate and furnished a service loaner to use.

This was an excellent experience from the first contact on the Internet to laughing in the finance office. Paul was a very transparent, fair and friendly. There was no haggling over price or going back and forth to the manager as in the old days. He gave me a fair price from the very beginning, based on my research from True Car and Kelly Blue book. I ordered the car I wanted and there was information suggested but no hard up selling. He gave me great advise and I completely enjoyed the purchase experience. Steve the finance manager was also very nice to work with even after I switched from a lease to a buy at the last minute based on Paul's excellent advice. Steve presented several extra warranties which all the research tells you not to buy but he made a compelling case for the maintenance program which I did purchase. Overall this is a great organization with great people and a fantastic beginning to end experience.

Wanting to utilize Fords $2000 rebate for the Mustang I located a car I liked that was at a dealership on the South side of Chicago. Having good experience with Bredemann in the past I thought I would go there and see if they could get the car for me. That is when I met Steve Travnik. He is very friendly, easy to deal with, and very professional. Within minutes he printed out my "out the door" deal with or without a trade in. He gave me the print outs and told me he would call me in a couple of days. Steve then called me to let me know he could get the car if I wanted it. I replied "get the car" and within a couple of more days, the Mustang I wanted was at Bredemann waiting for me. At this point Rick Serrano took over. He showed me the car, answered a few questions and asked when I would pick it up. Rick made the time to talk with me even though he was dealing with some other customers. He balanced his time between us very well. When I go to pick up the car the next day, the weather was changing and thunderstorm warnings were issued. I was getting nervous because my brand new Mustang was outside. I asked a couple of salesmen in the showroom to move my car inside in case of hail. Next thing I knew my car was safely inside the building. That is when my wife and I met Steve Settler in Finance. He was very nice and also very professional. He handled everything very well and explained what we were signing and why. At this point I asked Mr. Settler to hurry up because I wanted to beat the storm and get my car home and safely parked in my garage. He was nice enough to accommodate my request and finished up with us very quickly. At this point Rick Serrano told me "the keys are in the car, good luck and drive safely". Well I decided to hurry home with my brand new car. As I drove home the weather became scary, dark, and extremely windy, I am happy to say that I got home and in the garage JUST in time. As my overhead door came down so did the rain. And did it rain. Well, as it turns out where I live in Mt. Prospect we only had rain. However Niles and Morton Grove had a lot of hail and Skokie had many trees damaged and uprooted. The damage from the storm was the opening story on the news. So thanks to the 3 people I mentioned at Bredemann - helping me with my concerns - my new Mustang was safe and in the garage just in time. I appreciate these 3 men putting up with my concerns and helping me cope with the situation. I would strongly recommend the Bredemann line of dealerships. I have now purchased cars from Bredemann Lexus, Ford, and Toyota....

This was the fifth Ford in 12 years that I purchased from this dealership. Need I say more? I must confess that I've felt a certain loyalty to Ford because my late father provided for our family by working at the Woodlawn Stamping Facility for over 30 years. His retirement, when left to my mother, allowed her to live very well. Nonetheless, my loyalty could easily have shifted had I encountered the least amount of unhappy experience from a dealership. Bredemann's sales staff, financial management and service department are always top notch - professional, knowledgeable, very competent and never pushy, to say nothing of courteous, which permeates right down to the clerks and the custodians who wash the cars! My relationship with Bredemann has been ongoing, between purchases and service (under the expert guidance of Mike Reyes).That car dealers inherently have bad reputations has been folklore for decades. Not Bredemann. I can't speak for all Ford dealerships, but I would bet that Bredemann easily stands with or rises above the best of them. It's always a pleasure to purchase cars, bring them in for service and chat with the Bredemann community. You can be sure that I'll return when it's time for my next car.

I had my cooling fan replaced by a dealer in Ontario due to an overheating problem (which is not fun when you are just starting a trip to the west coast. Coming into Chicago, the car started overheating again. The next day after calling several ford service departments who were all booked for the day I decided to just drive to this one. The service adviser, Mikey, was friendly and helpful. They brought the car in right away. The mechanic, Donny, looked like someone who knew what he was doing and found the problem in 15 minutes. The plug that the fan plugged into was burned out, and the other dealer had neglected to check. Donny wired in a new plug, Mikey gave me a break on the price and I was on my way. I'm in Montana now and no issues whatsoever.

Took my 04 Expedition in for a oil change and they found that the front brakes pads were getting low. Got a free loaner and came back in a few hours to pick up. Mike Reyes has always been fair with us over the years. The loaners for customers are great for both my wife and me. I have been buying many Chevrolets for myself throughout the years thinking about buying a Ford just for the great service, and free loaner car. We visited Bredemann after setting up an appointment via the Internet. When we arrived people were confused about who we were to see, but eventually steered us toward Mike Smith who turned out to not only be a knowledgeable professional, but a very nice guy as well. We already had a quote from another dealership and Mike was able to match it with a more expensive car that had all of our requirements. When we said we wanted to discuss it further, Mike had no problem with that and said we should get in touch with him when we were ready. As we were still looking at different vehicles, we test drove another car which we liked. We called Mike and said we would like a test drive with the Escape. We hadn't test driven the car with Mike because we had already test driven the car twice before. When we arrived at the dealership, Mike was ready for the test drive, which was much more extensive than our other test drives. When we returned, we were ready to purchase. The whole process was painless. The financial guy worked through the numbers with us on what made more sense: rebates or 0%. We weren't pressured to purchase add-ons regarding warranties. We agreed on a delivery date since the car we wanted needed to be brought in. The delivery went smoothly and we drove away happily. We are buying a second car from this dealership next month because this was such a pleasant experience.

In the last 10(ish) years, I have purchased a Suburban, a Solara, a Conversion Van, an Escalade, and an Infiniti. Other than the conversion van which was made to specification, the other purchases were somewhere between unpleasant and painful. Within 1-2%, everyone that tries can find prices for what they want on anything in the new care universe. What's the point of three hours of haggling over a $100, insane time spent on upsales of unwanted items and "deal-of-the-day" bargains? I found roughly what I wanted-- a 2013 Fusion ES, largely loaded. I had prices for everything. I had my wife and one of my children go into Bredeman Ford in Glenview, IL today and check out their inventory. They had three cars that very closely satisfied what I wanted and figured I'd send them in to figure out if they liked the model and what features they didn't want or need. Salesman Mike Smith walked them through their barrage of questions and answers, let them know what alternatives there were, how the vehicles in stock as well as not in inventory compared. He did it knowing full well that they weren't going to buy anything until I showed up some other time. Crazy stuff- someone who takes the time to educate the buyer on the Ford brand, the Fusion model (and there are quite a few variants) and what the dealership would bring to the table other than location. They walked out and called me now knowing more than I did about anything other than price as far as the car and the dealership were concerned. I went over to the dealer tonight. I met with Mr. Smith. Took a test drive. Went over the two concerns I had; price and alloy wheels. The price came in $400 under my expectation (due to a rebate I did not expect). He explained the "Tire Protection" plan that covered all of my wheel/tire concerns (we had huge issues with alloy rims and low-profile tires on the Escalade and received horrible dealer assistance--not same dealer). Mr. Smith tallied off a list of items and paperwork and I was in the financing/cashier's office in 30 minutes. Steve Settler, sat us down. He offered an informative-- not pushy sales-- review of several programs. I knew it was a "no malarkey" explanation when he started off saying, "I'm not going to read you about all the things you get with this plan, I'm going to tell you what isn't covered. Everything else is." While we did not elect to take the warranty extension today, Steve let us know that he would contact us at the 11 month mark and see how we felt then. He also warned us that the extension, if we elect it later, must be executed prior to the 3yr/36k Ford warranty or that a full and expensive testing of the car would be required and we would have to repair all, even minor items, before the extension would be possible. He said that if after some time we did think we'd hold on to the car for significant years, the electronics on board make the extended warranty look like a good deal since one major problem would potentially pay for the warranty. None of this was, "Oh man, you really oughta get this now or your nuts." It wasn't an ask five times to push it situation. It was a matter-of-fact here's what you get, here's when you can get it, you make the decision. Very refreshing. We did elect the tire/wheel package. Like most people, the things that have made me miserable before are things I'll pay to cover. We finished quickly and comfortably with Steve. Mike Smith was screwing on the plates. Another gentleman, August Trexler, was going over the audio, gps, and system programming with one of my more technologically adept kids. A third gentleman, I do not recall his name, was reviewing the detailing of the car. And, we were done. Yeah, it was a Monday night and things weren't crazy at Bredeman Ford in Glenview. But the "no rush, no sales jamming, let us show you what you're getting, what you can get if you want, what everything costs" attitude is a business model-- not a show on a slow night. I honestly have no idea whether we're going to love the car or otherwise. I have no idea if I'm going to love their service department or not. But I know this: I feel really good about the experience. I feel like I understand what I bought and what I didn't. I feel like I have a dealership and a salesperson that are not in a combative relationship with me as I walked out the door. And, I got the product my family wanted at a price slightly better than I expected. Normally, I'd say 5 stars are unwarranted on just about anything. This was, beyond a doubt, the best I've ever felt about closing a car deal. Patient, knowledgeable people, managed under an excellent business model, working as a team.

Paul Ipjan found a rebate that I did not even know existed. Because I own a 1996 Ford Ranger, Paul was able to provide an extra $750 rebate on my purchase of my new Ford Fusion. Even though he did not have the color, Ginger Ale, that I wanted, he scoured the dealers in the Midwest and found one in Indiana that was exactly what I wanted. After driving my 1997 Probe for nearly 16 years, I did not expect to find what I wanted so quickly. We went into Bredemann Ford based on some online reviews by folks that seemed to show that the sales staff at this dealership were low pressure, friendly, helpful and patient. This was just what my family needed, as we were undecided on which vehicle we wanted to purchase, outside of knowing we wanted a Ford. We were greeted warmly on a snowy Friday night, asked some relevant questions concerning needs and wants, and then steered towards 3 different models to consider. We were encouraged to sit, spread out, relax. We went on one test drive of a newer model - the C-MAX, and then were given literature on the two models we were having a tough time deciding on. John Messner was our sales person and he could not have been more helpful. He understood our situation, our needs, and then gave us space. We left the dealership that night without making a purchase, and we were made to feel that taking our time was a normal part of the process. This was great. We've NOT had such positive experiences elsewhere. We came back the next morning and by early afternoon we were out the door in our new car. The Sales Manager (Don Young) and the Finance person (Ira Schreiber who was filling in) were equally pleasant and helpful. Each member of the team took time to explain the process, options, and answer questions. Other sales staff were equally friendly and considerate. This was the best experience we've ever had buying a car. Bredemann will be our dealership of choice from now on!

And that's something when you consider that it's a large expenditure in everyone's budget.The people ast Bredemann LISTEN! Always a good trait, but with all of them they use the information you provide to steer you toward the best car for your needs. Chester Gilbert was awesome. He got me exactly what I was looking for and in a record amount of time. His automotive knowledge is mind-boggling.He worked tirelessly to be sure I got every perk I was entitled to. Steve Travnick has and continues to be a customer advocate in the highest sense of the term. Ira explained every financial detail that would impact me and why one option was better or different from another. Steve Pett was terrific in explaining the technical options I had chosen, and very patient with me, a totally non-technical grandma! I have dealt with Mike Reyes in service before, and he is terrific. As several others noted, your car is done on time or before Mike has indicated. He'll get you a loaner or send you a driver. Once he even sent someone to pick me up really early so I could make my 8:30 AM tennis time! What more could you ask for? Seriously, though, I have and will continue to recommend Bredemann Ford for an overall fair, educational, customer and service friendly car buying experience at the fairest, most competitive price around. Our interaction with the Sales (Ira and Paul/Don) and Technology Team (Steve) was positive in that there was no hard sales tactics, just straight talk and more than adequate time dedicated to us and all our questions. We both were pleased that any question we presented to Paul and Steve they were both extremely knowledgeable and professional in all responses and their willingness and ability to answer, if not right away, they took the time to address our needs and get the correct information, be it mechanical or otherwise. We received a fair price for what we wanted in a car and are comfortable with our purchase experience. The technology review with Steve was very positive - he is very patient - knowledgable and left us with a clear understanding of how the options work, including his offer to allow us to return if we need reminders or learn of new questions. We will return to this dealer when we look to make our next auto purchase.

In this day and age, quality, professionalism, courtesy and promptness are extremely important. The one additional characteristic that exemplifies Bredemann Ford is consistency in all of these categories. Mike Reyes has been my service manager several times in the past - all of these adjectives describe him and the dealership's service.There are many dealerships that I could take my Taurus to in the Mount Prospect area. However, I do not mind driving the extra miles to Glenview, because Bredemann Ford has always gone the extra mile for me - beginning with the initial sale by Bill C. who passed away subsequently to my purchase from Bredemann.

I put a deposit down for a brand new 2012 Explorer. When it was delivered, it had 590 miles on it. I asked for my deposit back and they thought I was crazy. They finally returned the deposit when I learned Ford will only cover the first 500 miles under warranty. TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP!

Worst car shopping experience ever!!! I'm not sure if I can even call it an experience seeing as how they never even acknowledged me as a human being let alone a customer. Even after I approached the receptionist I was still ignored. If your a person of color or just want to be respected don't go to Bredemann Ford in Glenview, go down to Gulf Mill Ford they are nicer.I didn't end up buying a Ford at all, I went to Jennings Chevy Dealership in Glenview where I was treated with respect and they provide excellent customer service!

I recently took ownership of a new 2011 Ford Explorer and I need to bring in the car to have some accessories installed and to have them look at a minor issue I was having with the 3rd row seats. I thought it was great touch that Chester my salesperson met me and introduced me to the service department since I had not serviced my SUV there before. Peter in service was very attentive and my accessory install was very quick and he worked with me for quite a while to come to a solution for the 3rd row seat issue. I really felt he spent more time with me then I expected and he treated me as a knowledgeable customer and did not talk down to me at any point. This experience as all my others have been at Bredemann, 5 Stars!One last comment, The customer waiting area was scarry! I felt like a stepped into a Oil Change place from the 70's. I am not saying that it has to be an upscale dealership waiting room but fresh paint, new flooring a couple complementary amenities (Better coffee and maybe a cookie) and an overall comfortable look but not indoor/outdoor carpeting that looked like it hasn't been cleaned for years and a coffee set up that I would be leary of using. The TV was also out of order. You have a bit of time to think about things as you are waiting for your car to be fixed and I kept thinking as great as the people are in this service department that the owner of the dealership did not care as much about his customers. Now I gave the overall experience a 4, this was entirely due to the condition of the waiting area. With a little updating this is very easily a 5+.

After going to the Chicago Auto Show and doing much research I had decided on a 2011 Ford Explorer. I spent an entire day going to 3 Dealerships (Bredemann, Highland Park, and Golf Mill - Stay as far away from Golf Mill as Possible, Horrible experience there) Bredemann and Highland Park gave me quotes that were very similar but Chester at Bredemann treated me as an educated buyer and left the Car Salesman Antics at home. He was very good to work with and did not use any of the expected Car Salesman pressure tactics. we stopped at the dealership on three separate occasions before we signed the order for my new explorer. I feel I got a fair price since he was able to match the lowest quote I had recieved to that point. I also feel they gave me a pretty fair price on my trade. Ira was better than most sales mangers but needs to reign in a bit of the pressure talk. I am looking forward to picking up my Explorer when it comes in and hope that I will be able to add more positive comments for Bredemann. I would like to add that had Chester not been such a great salesperson to deal with I probably would have gone to Highland Park because some of the policies and the general lack of updating at Bredemann would have overshadowed the performance of an average salesperson. Bredemann help yourself and just do a bit of updating. I am not expecting you to become a high end dealership. Just replace desks with something less than 30 years old. Give your customers car washes outside of service (pretty much everyone else does) Make your service area a bit more comfortable and appreciate your customers a bit more. You appear to have a great staff and a good reputation. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by letting the other aspects of a dealership turn people off.

The rear window on my 2005 Escape imploded about 150 miles from home two days before Christmas. We called Mike from the car and explained the problem. He checked with the glass supplier and got back to us in 30 minutes or so. He told us to come in and that he could get the rear window replaced and that he had a "loaner". The next day about 11:30 am he called and told us to pick up our car.THAT'S SERVICE. And it's not the first time! Mike Reyes and Bredemann are a great team and even though we moved to downtown Chicago we continue to go to Bredemann.

I have been taking my car in for service to Bredemann Ford for almost a year now. I have to say I am always so pleased when I leave their knowing that my car has been serviced properly. My service advisor Mike Reyes always takes the time to explain everything to me, so that I understand completely what is going on. He is always honest never trying to sell me something I don't need. My car is ready when he says it will be. This kind of customer service is something that you don't see every day. My first Ford was purchased at this dealer. When the minivan was ready for trade-in, it took me 3 months to choose to switch to an Explorer. Sales staff was patient through weeks of test drives. Loved the Explorer and the great service I got from Bredeman. My only mistake was thinking that all dealers were so great. Found a pre-owned Edge at another dealer. Great deal but the service has not lived up to the standards set by Bredemann. Their Service Dept is honest, easy to talk to, respectful and helpful. I will not take my Edge anywhere else for service. Not even for an oil change. Bredemann Ford Service Dept has always given me the best service and the best value for my money.

Bredemann Ford has been consistent in the high quality and great customer service they provide - this is our third vehicle purchased there. Tim Ferguson has been our consultant on a number of occasions and he is always very friendly, helpful, courteous and respectful. He is always upbeat and positive. (The other service staff have also been very good to work with). The work is always done quickly, and I don't think I've ever had to bring the car back because something wasn't done right. The setting may not be as fancy as Bredemann Lexus, where we've purchased several vehicles (and where sales - Howard Meron - and service are also excellent), but the customer service is what one would hope for regardless of what kind of a car one drives.Sincerely,Steven Feinberg
