What an amazing experience from start to finish! I met with Ed on day one of car shopping- my intention was just to test drive a SUV and get some research. Ed was so knowledgeable and helpful, I left the lot with my new car that very same night! He answered all my questions (since I was a first time car buyer and a little nervous) and he also scheduled me for a detailing the very next week. So awesome! I was looking for a new car on short notice due to a collision and found a car I liked online at Bachman VW and at up an appointment. The process and interaction was quick and easy. Salesperson Austin was great to work with and walked me through pros and cons of the cars I was interested in and never tried to force the sale. He kept me updated on the car with texts and was quick to respond to any questions. I ended up buying a car from Bachman not just because I loved the car, but because the whole process was terrific, from the interaction with sales to the financing and closing process. It was a great experience and I will absolutely go back for the next car.

Great experience I didn’t feel like that they were trying to gyp me. Chad was great he was very knowledgeable and working through finance with Josh was a great experience as well!They both were straight shooters and it helped me reach what I needed to reach and the monthly payment and price that I needed to get to get me into my new atlas. Traded my Subaru for a VW Jetta and the whole experience went smoothly. Thanks to James Thomas, Christian Tolentino and the finance guys. The only down side was that the car was dirty. Even after I pointed out the filthy headliner above the drivers door and on the drivers side of the upper console, it still was not clean when I drove off the lot. Cleaned it myself when I got home. Not a huge deal, but when you buy a car it should st least be clean. Overall a great place to buy a car.

I found my car at Bachman's VW, the car had been discounted several thousands of dollars because it was a 2016 Model. I didn't even ask for anymore money off of the car simply because it was cheaper thanAny other dealerships prices on cars.com. All of the associates that I encountered were very nice.. !! UPDATE !!Since my first time at Bachman and working with Drew I have been back to purchase my wife a 2016 Passat, and today we put in an order for my 2013 Jetta TDI replacement. With VW's recall of all TDIs, I was worried about making sure I had a car ready to goatee my buyback. I talked to Drew and he had me come in to figure out what I'd be happy with. I ended up placing an order for a 2017 GTI, should be here in a couple of months. Needless to say, I still feel the same about Bachman VW and Drew Redmond. I will continue to do all of my car buying business through Drew, he understands what buying a car should be like. If you buy a VW anywhere in Louisville I feel sorry for you. The best car buying experience I have had. I came across a good deal they had listed on a 2013 Jetta TDI and decided to go check it out. They were open and upfront about everything throughout the whole process. Drew, our salesman, was young and personable. He seemed to genuinely want what was best for us, not just another commission in the book. He was patient with us and our kids, 6 and 3, and did everything he could to work with our schedule. They allowed our kids to play in Herbie, the highlight of their day. I highly recommend checking out Bachman VW for your next vehicle, and talk to Drew Redmond when you get there. He went the extra step to call a week later and check on us and the car, and has earned my future business.

Recently I had a tire issue and had went back to the tire company I purchased from ( a very well known tire store) who believe it or not.. Couldn't find the slow leak.. I had a good friend who recommended Bachman Volkswagon and I took their advice! I was treated like family from the first call to getting promptly in.. They found that I had a nail inside the wall of the tire within a short time.. I knew I was going to need new tires soon, so went ahead and got all 4 done.. Saw the ad for a '16 Golf R and I was immediately contacted by Drew Redmond. I was very skeptical doing a long distance transaction (I'm from Illinois) but Drew assured me that what we've negotiated over emails/phone calls will be exactly what the final deal would be when I come in. Drew was very transparent and kept me in the loop at all times; excellent customer service and always responsive even during his off hours! Drew is not your "typical" car salesman; he's straight to the point and does not beat around the bush.Drew made this car buying experience very easy. He also assured me that he will get me the amount they promised for my trade-in provided that the condition of the my car was very good (which it was). Drew stuck with me the whole time and made everything happen so seamlessly. Finance mgr David Wilson was also great (although the APR with the pre-paid finance charge was a little misleading) and easy to deal with. I definitely would buy a car from them again especially if it's with Drew!

John is, in my opinion, what a car salesman should be like. No hard sell but plenty of information and help deciding on which particular model I wanted - and bought. When I picked the car up he explained all the technology and introduced me to the people in the service department. Again, no hard sell to use Bachman for service, but helpful if I ever do.As to price: I had gotten a certain price from the car buying service (which Bachman knew). However, they let me know from the beginning that their price for the car I wanted was LESS than the car buying service price. I've had dealers tell me their price is more because blah, blah, blah, but never less. Very impressed.Finally, there were some wrinkles on my end (nothing to do with them). They worked with me to iron them out in a very, very, fair manner.Couldn't be happier with John specifically or the Bachman dealership in general.

From the moment I decided to buy a new car, I new that I would buy one at Bachman Volkswagen. I knew because of the great service from all of the Bachman Volkswagen staff that my wife and I received the last time we bought a new car at Bachman Volkswagen. I saw the car online that I was interested in, and when I got off of work that day, I went to Bachman Volkswagen to take it for a test drive. When my wife and I got to the car lot and got out of our cars we were immediately greeted by Byron who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cars that were at the car dealership. After taking the 2015 Volkswagen Beetle for a test drive, knowing that the car was priced right and working out the details of the car with the financing staff; I bought my first new car, that was also like my wives first new car many years ago, a Bachman Volkswagen Beetle, I have loved my car ever since the day I drove off the Bachman Volkswagen lot with many smiles on my face and I plan to have many more smiles throughout the years to come, Many thanks to all of the great staff at Bachman Volkswagen.

I called the dealer a few days in advance to setup an appointment for Saturday service. Arrived about 30 minutes before appointment. The service department did an inspection of the car and found a nail in the rear passenger tire. Thought I would have to pay for the tire replacement. Talked with Drew our salesperson and he thought we bought extended service. Ended up we had and the repair was taken care of and under warranty. (No cost out of pocket for the work performed.)This was my first service with Bachman and it was what I expect. Customer waiting area was not bad. I plan to use them for all my service needs. The service department was going through some changes at the time of the service. This did cause some issues with paperwork but everything went vary well.

I was searching the Internet on a Sat. morning for a "new" used car and found a 2013 Kia Soul on the Bachman website. Tom Vidulich called me that morning and after emailing back and forth my information I came in for a test drive Monday afternoon. My sales person was Christian Tolentino and he did a great job of answering my questions.The entire process was very pleasant. I didn't feel any pressure to purchase. Once I made up my mind to buy the car the financing process was easy to do. David Wilson (Finance Manager) handled all of my questions and reviewed all options/services that were available to me. I can't say enough about how smooth this process was from trading in my car to the purchase of my "new" car, it only took 3 hours form the time I walked in the door till the time I drove off the lot with my car. It was even detailed to perfection before I brought it home. The entire team was very courteous and professional. I couldn't have asked for any better service. It was definitely Haggle-free. Bachman VW rocks!!!

Bob Shewalter was my Sales Rep at Subaru, he was able to show me cars at VW. I was so impressed that you guys put the customer first and the relationship that Bob and I had built. I DID NOT want meet another sales rep and tell him my story. I'm glad Bachman VW/Subaru work together to put ME first and not let some "sales process" or rules get in the way of my buying experience. Overall..an excellent experience after a approximately 4 hour drive. The car had been prepped, drove out front, and ready to test drive. All the people at the dealership were kind, and friendly. A special "THANK YOU" to Tom Vidulich to all the informational phone calls, expert conversation, and multiple email contact. I would not have decided to make the drive if not for his help! Second person who deserves a special "THANK YOU" is to Jason Hutchings, whom made sure the car was pre prepped, and ready before our arrival. He answered any, and all questions with knowledageable information. Stayed in contact with us the whole time (approx. 5 hours) at the dealership until our departure, and updated us frequently on what was needed to be completed (including whom to talk to) for purchase of said vehicle. Top honors goes to both of them! Be careful of the extended dealership warranty offered which can raise payment cost + add months on a loan. Know exactly what you are purchasing, and the monthly increase in payment cost. Cannot comment of their repair service at this time.

I made appointment several weeks ago for the first serving, 10K 9AM Saturday morning. After arriving at 08:35, I was second in line. While waiting in line I spoke to the diver of the first car who told me he didn't have an appointment. At 09:03 the garage door was opened and we drove our cars in. A representative went over to the first person in line and started to assist him.. I stood there for a couple of minutes turn around and saw another representative helping the third car in line? Both reps went inside after a few minutes I walked in and ask the question exactly how does this work? The customer (number 3) apologized and said he had told the VW representative I was next but the rep had stated not to worry about it. While waiting I overheard another customer saying to this same Bachman rep he was going to call the manager to complain. The rep replied that today was his last day; he had excepted a position with BMW. After waiting several hours I was fanally told my car was ready. I was given the keys to my car and went out to drive away only to find the radio was on and would not go off! I went back in and another another rep came out and was unable to shut the radio off after trying for several minutes. After another 20 minutes they were able to resolve the problem I was told by reinstalling a software update. No excuse for handing a customer the keys after servicing a vehicle without insuring the vehicle was ready. I won't not be back.

Even after being stuck on I 65 for over an hour and getting lost in Louisvile, I have to say that this was the most positive car purchasing experience I have ever had. In the past I have left dealerships in bad need of a shower after dubious encounters with your stereotypical car salesmen. I've heard rumors of ethical car salesmen but had decided that if they truly existed they were as rare as unicorns. Les Hudson was the epitome of what every salesman should strive for. He was professional, knowledgeable and very personable. I love my car and am confident that my positive experience through the purchase process only adds to the good vibes emanating from my Beetle.

And they were very friendly.Watch for your # of payments to be increased to sell you an extended warranty without raising your payments as much. Looks like a good warranty, but make sure you know what you are really paying for it.

My husband was the initial person to come in to Bachman and was put into contact with Steve. Steve brought my husband into the office to look for cars instead of leaving him outside to meander in the cold (as was done at competitor's lots). I met them both at the dealership and was greeted at the door by Steve who was very polite and put me up to speed about what was going on. When we all went to test drive a Chrysler 200 and VW Jetta, Steve went ahead and warmed the car so that it wouldnt be cold. Steve took the time that he had set aside for personal matters to make sure that we got the vehicle that we wanted. I appreciated all the help that we received - everyone was well informed about their jobs, great service, and communication with the customer about what was happening.

Easy!Easy to make appointment, easy to get the time I needed, easy pick up, easy understanding of what my charges were going to be, easy payment with the cashier (thanks for our rewards, too) and the staff is easy to talk to. They even know our name when we walk in the door.We especially appreciate that Roy Will called us about an irregularity with the overall inspection of our vehicle.There was a "bubble" on a tire that we purchased elsewhere. We were alerted in time to go to the tire shop and have it replaced the same day. This could have been a disaster waiting to happen during cold and perhaps dangerous weather. Thanks Everyone!!

When initially speaking with Josh, he was up front about pricing and took immediate initiative to attempt to work with me on pricing pertaining to the car I originally called about. Despite not being able to get me the price I wanted on the original car, I appreciated Josh's prompt callback and concise directness. When I showed interest in another VW CC in their inventory, Josh called me on the first available business day. He made an effort to thoroughly listen and understand my circumstances and was willing to accommodate me financially and logistically in order for me to realize my purchase. Josh E. was instrumental in assisting me with any confusion I had over customer information processing and communicating with my loan office. Thane showed an exceptional level of consistency in his communication with me. He was able to adapt to my form of dialogue on a daily basis and made sure that I was confident in my buying decision. There are a number of ways, as an out-of-state buyer, that this entire experience could have gone awry and I'm very thankful and appreciative that the staff at Bachman were able to make this transaction as smooth as possible. Even their sales pitch for their extended warranty did not make me feel bullied or cornered. It was evident that they have a higher standard of customer service ingrained into their sales formula and they were will worth the money.

I did not buy my new car at Bachman but did make the purchase locally. I have been to the dealership twice for service work. The first time I needed wiper blades and Roy asked me to pull into the bay so he could install. He thanked me for my business and would not allow me to pay for his services. My second experience was also with Roy. My wipers quit working and we were expecting freezing rain. Roy worked me in immediately and in less than 30 minutes I was back on the road with functional wipers.Roy is an asset to your organization. I will have my car serviced at Bachman from this point forward.Please congratulate Roy on a job well done!

No pressure sales team. I felt the sales personnel were honest and upfront. Price was very attractive. I have not had to service the car yet. This is a TDI with 6 speed manual. Mileage is amazing (Average 42mpg overall, with over 50mpg average on highway). Power is impressive, especially considering the fuel efficiency.

Bought a 2015 VW Golf TDI. Carter and the staff made this transaction very pleasant. No pressure, no nonsense, price was stated up front and was as advertised. I needed a means of transporting the new car home as I live 2.5 hours from Louisville and did not have a driver, I didn't trade the vehicle that I was driving in, the other sales people made arrangements for me to rent a dolly near the store. Josh Edgar worked with/for me like he knew me personally. I currently have credit issues and he worked 2-3 days to get my deal done. I had already been turned down at 2-3 dealerships. We had seen several commercials about the Volkwagen specials on TV and then we started researching the hybrid Jetta. We really thought we were going to get a Prius, but decided we should drive the Jetta first. We worked with Drew Redmond, who is such a nice guy. He knows his stuff and takes more of the "information" approach as opposed to a swarmy hard sell, "What can we do to get you in this car tonight?"Drew was knowledgeable and also was able to work with Jeff Pence to get us a great trade-in allowance for our 2010 Corolla. We had gone to CarMax and they offered $9000. We had in our heads we wanted at least $10K and ended up with well over $11K, which was great.Drew took his time and really introduced the car to us, getting all the bluetooth set up on our certified 2013 Jetta hybrid! It's always a 3-4 hour ordeal to buy a car from start to finish. The good thing today was that it was fun talking and laughing with Drew, who is so good-natured.It's the second time we bought a car from this dealer, and without question, they will be the first one we go to when it is time for another car! Highly recommend it.

The crew at Bachman is very helpful in getting my car fixed when out of warranty. I had a High Pressure Fuel Pump failure at 139,000 miles which essentially totaled the car. When I called VW they told me they could not help me. The dealership was able to get VW to pay for the repair.If you have a TDI from 2009 or 2010, be aware that the HPFP has a weakness causing total failure. My car is the third into Bachman THIS WEEK for the same problem. VW has paid for this failure, but should probably issue a recall.

There was a minor oil leak which they fixed even though it was not covered by the standard warranty (and we did not purchase any extended warranties). I would easily go back to this dealership and would (and have) recommended it to my friends. I originally went to Bachman because a friend in the industry (but not associated with Bachman) recommended them. A friend who is very particular also recommended them. I now understand why.

John Vanderhoff was my salesman at Bachman. Though I showed up late in the evening on a Friday, he was still very helpful and allowed me to test drive the styles and stock #'s that I came to see. I did not feel pressured to commit that evening and was open and honest about my plans to test drive another brand. I returned to Bachman the following day to make my purchase. There was no comparison in the value offered for the price.

This is the third VW i have purchased from Bachman and my fifth VW overall, and I can't understand why anyone would go anywhere else. I brought my Passat in to exchange for a Golf (downsizing seemed the right thing to do), but left with my second Jetta Sportwagen, instead. I couldn't be more pleased. Sam Kennedy listened to my expectations and explained all my options thoroughly and accurately. I am extremely pleased with my selection, and the entire process couldn't have been completed more smoothly. I am already thinking about my next VW from Bachman; hopefully, it will be the CC.

My overall experience yesterday was excellent, as usual. Mr. Roy Will of the VW Service Dept. was professional with his evaluation of my car's needs, kept in communication regarding issues that came up, and in the end had my car ready sooner than I expected.and washed! All of that with his great sense of humor! Also, Paul the driver was wonderful - dropping me off and picking me up. Actually, I didn't think I was going to need to be picked up but he gently gave me his card "just in case." He was right! All in all, Bachman always excels with great service. Which is probably why I'm on my third car from the dealership!

From the time we requested information online from Josh B. till we drove our Jetta Sportwagen off the lot less than 24 hours later, we were impressed with the helpfulness and professionalism of the Bachman VW group. Our salesperson was Thane and the long process was made easier with his attention to detail and willingness to address our questions. We never felt pressured or dismissed. Management has set a standard for an atmosphere of respect and quality and it shows in many ways. We are very pleased with our new car and are glad to know that any problems can be addressed with a phone call. One convenience that would have been nice would be more chairs in the large open main area. There were only 2 chairs and a small table tucked behind one of the show room cars. All in all, this was a good experience and we will speak highly of Bachman VW every chance we have. Thank you for being kind and caring as though we were the first customers you've ever had.

I found a car that I liked at Bachman VW. It was a 7 year old used car. I went to Chase bank (my personal bank) to get pre-approved for the car. They told me that since the car was 7 years old I would have a hard time getting approved at a bank branch. They told me that I can apply for chase auto finance at Bachman's dealership. They also told me that if they approve the loan at my local chase branch, then they will definitely approve the loan through Chase Auto Finance at Bachman. My local banker told me that I had to wait 24 hours for a result from the local branch, but I could go ahead and talk to them at Bachman about purchasing the car. When I went to negotiate the price, they car salesman, Les, told me that we could try to finance through Chase Auto Finance on the car lot... like my banker told me. I spent the entire day negotiating the price and they told me I was finally approved for the loan. I decided to go ahead and get financed at the dealership. Les told me that "Chase wouldn't even approve your loan." but Huntington Bank did. I was disappointed because I wanted to finance through my bank and not Huntington... but I also really wanted the car. So I agreed to buy the car, financing it through Huntington. I sign the paperwork and the accountant at the car lot, Josh, tells me that Huntington gives Bachman some sort of special deal for signing people to Huntington Bank. The next day my local banker tells me that my loan was approved. I told her that it wasn't possible because I got denied through chase auto finance.... After calling Chase auto finance, I found out that my credit was never ran through them at Bachman and that they didn't even care to try to finance the loan through Chase... because they would miss out on a deal from Huntington. They lied to me... now I am jumping through hoops trying to set up payments with Huntignton bank... Did I mention that they gave me a worse interest rate than Chase offered? Also Huntington won't let you make a payment over the phone without charging you $12. I'll never buy a car from Bachman again. They are liars. If you do, don't buy one from Les... and definitely wait to hear back about getting pre-approved.

I was recently in an accident that totaled my car, and the pressure has been on since then to find one soon. Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of time to really research anything before I had to start seriously looking to buy. To me, the scariest part of buying a car was the idea of working with a salesperson who was out to sell me a car by any means possible- even if it meant extremely pressuring me or being downright dishonest. (I felt this was especially true in my case where the salesperson would know I was in a crunch where I HAD to buy a car.) After being to 4 other lots & talking to "slick" salespeople, I walked onto Bachman's lot expecting it to be the case there, too. I was so wrong! Drew came and introduced himself and it didn't take me long to judge his character is 180 degrees from the stereotypical used car salesman. He is passionate about the Volkswagen brand (which I knew NOTHING about) and I enjoyed learning why this brand would be a great fit for me. I then knew I wanted a Jetta, but I still wanted to make sure it was the RIGHT Jetta. That night, he found out about a car new to the lot & he researched it until 10pm to see if it was the right one for me! Then, he met me there on his day off this morning so I could test drive it. It was really cool because I could tell that he was just as excited to have found me the perfect car as I was. Needless to say, it's mine! I will be back to Bachman & will be asking for Drew in the future. But not for a while... I want to enjoy my Jetta first :)

When I first visited Bachman VW in February 2014, I was politely greeted by Drew Redmond. I explained that I was researching various makes of cars and would not be making a purchase until March or April. I told him that I was interested in seeing 2013 program cars, primarily the Passat but would consider a Jetta. Drew was very knowledgeable of the models and patiently showed me both. After I left the dealership, Drew contacted me a couple of times via text or email, but his contacts were not obtrusive in the slightest. Oddly enough, on the day in mid-March that I had planned on calling Drew to arrange a test drive, I received a call from Drew informing me of a special that VW was running. When I met Drew for my appointment, he let me test drive both the Passat and the Jetta. Although I was initially interested in the Passat, I actually settled on the Jetta. I was very pleasantly surprised that there was no effort to up-sell me to the Passat. Drew seemed genuinely interested that I got the vehicle that I wanted. Furthermore, he even worked on his day off to obtain the VIN of the new Jetta so that I could pass it on to my insurance company.In summary, this was the lowest stress, most positive experience that I have ever had purchasing a car. I would recommend Drew without reservation and, based upon my initial sales experience with the dealership, would definitely return to Bachman in the future.

I knew what I was looking for when I drove onto the lot, and I found it quickly. My new-to-me Kia Soul was a local trade, loaded with options and priced fairly. Even though it was obvious I loved it, Drew didn't push me to make a purchase decision that day. I needed time to drive around and look at more vehicles I didn't want and to "do my research."By the end of the day, I was exhausted from test drives and talking to much pushy salespeople, but I couldn't stop thinking about the Soul. I actually work in the auto industry so I had plenty of resources at my disposal before entering Bachman. I had no intention of buying from Bachman because I knew exactly what I wanted and figured they (similar to most VW dealerships around the country) wouldn't have the specific car/colors I wanted. After checking out the cars on the lot I found that I was right, they didn't have the colors of the car I wanted on their lot. However, Lindsey was able to buy the specific car/colors I wanted via online auction and still keep the cost within my budget. She was extraordinarily helpful from start to finish, and she is THE reason that I have my wonderful car today. I could not have been more pleased with my experience both at the store and with Lindsey. She's definitely a sales rep that I would suggest friends go and see.

Came to the dealership, and met Drew Redmond. Talked him him about how many miles I drive per year, and the best car for me. We came to the conclusion that the Passat TDI was the best car for me. I wasn't ready to purchase, and let him know that I was 2-3 months out, from buying. Drew followed up with me around the two month mark, and I went back to the dealership. After signing a few papers, I drove off in my brand new car. After almost 4 months, I have 30,000 miles on it, and couldn't be more pleased.Highly suggest you look up Drew.

Quite honestly, I went to Bachman VW by mistake AND had no intention of purchasing a VW, My son recently purchased a new Jetta wagon TDI and pushed me to look at the Passat TDI. When we got to Bachman, I knew I was scheduled to talk to a female sales person so I they pointed me to the only female sales person - Lindsey Elser. She proved to be one of the best car salesman I have ever worked with. She took time to point out all my options and was extremely knowledgeable of VW product. If she didn't know the answer to a question, she said so and took time to find the correct answer. She sold me on the quality of a VW and let me decide which one I wanted.Lindsey made the buying process easy. She know what I was willing to spend and between her and her sales manager, they figured out how to make it work. I would recommend Lindsey to anyone who was in the market for a VW.

In late August, my father and I began our search for a relatively new, used vehicle that I could make payments on to build credit, and to have peace-of-mind while driving. We went to over 30 dealerships in Louisville, and could not find anything that matched our requirements of low mileage, 5 years old or less, and a $12,500 maximum out-the-door price. I personally could not believe how so many dealerships were asking $13k-$14k+ for vehicles with 100,000 miles on them. We were ready to give up and resort to craigslist. I was also sick of slimy, lying used car salesmen attempting to sell me, and annoy me about, vehicles I did not want to buy. Our last stop was Bachman Volkswagen, and it was where we should have began our search from the beginning. The salesman, John Vanderhoff, was extremely helpful and straightforward about the vehicles he had presented to us. He did not remind me of an insane, insulting used car salesman, but rather a provider of information and someone we could go to with any questions we had, in full confidence of an HONEST answer. We had been so disappointed in how Oxmoor and Sam Swope auto groups had treated us and presented themselves, that this was a refreshing experience. When we walked in the door, my dad immediately stated that we needed something for $12,500 out the door, no more. Instead of telling us that was our requirements were impossible and attempting to sell us something out of our price-range (like Sam Swope, Oxmoor auto group, and others had done all day) John pointed us to a 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit 2 door. The vehicle only had 14,888 miles on it! I was concerned that they wouldn't budge off the $12,900 asking price, simply because the car was in pristine shape inside and out. While we were gone on the test drive, John got us a Carfax and had it waiting for us when we returned. He also suggested other vehicles, but my eye was focused on the Rabbit. After looking over the almost perfect Carfax, which only had a minor fender-bender on it, we offered our full, previously mentioned offer of $12,500 out-the-door price. The sales manager accepted the price and we began with the paperwork. No haggling over a few hundred bucks or trying to talk the car up and raise the price! I was in shock that our experience thus far at Bachman did not resemble any dealership we had been to (cough cough SAM SWOPE, OXMOOR AUTO GROUP). I didn't realize how good of a deal I was getting yet. While going over everything, John told us how the vehicle was a Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned car, so it came with a limited bumper-to-bumper warranty for 2 years or 24,000 miles from the purchase date. I hadn't even been walked toward a certified pre-owned lot anywhere else I went because other places weren't willing to deal nor take any sort of hit off of their ridiculously inflated prices on used vehicles. I have put about 5k miles on my car thus-far, and used the warranty to replace a locking mechanism and have other minor, intermittent issues looked at. The service I got from Roy, the Service manager, was phenomenal as well. He did not charge me the deductibles on the issues their service department could not diagnose & correct, and is allowing me to bring the car in anytime my off-and-on electrical issues occur to have it looked at immediately, as long as I provide a heads-up that I'm coming in. All in all, I want to say thank you to everyone at Bachman. They showed me how a car buying experience should be. I will be a repeat customer there, as will my family, and would suggest everyone try Bachman as their 1st stop in looking for a vehicle, new or used.

I usually do not deal with dealership due to pricing issues but I found the salesman Stewart Anderson and the manager Jeff to be very easy to deal with . We were not able to come to terms on the original vehicle but they called me back a day later with another vehicle that we did come to terms on . I was able to get a Mitsubishi Outlander at what I felt was a good price and the vehicle was in very good shape , as I said it was for my daughter . I found a discounted 2013 Jetta TDI on Bachman's website over Labor Day weekend. It was definitely priced to sell, so I went to the dealership ready to buy. I was looking for a certified pre-owned vehicle and really liked the Passat. The sales staff wasn't pushy but was very knowledgable. He took me on a great test drive and allowed me to drive the vehicle to my meeting and was able to work out the deal while I was at work. Drew took care of getting me the best deal possible and a great interest rate on the loan. The lot was so clean, the offices were very nice, and the customer service was outstanding. They were able to clean up the vehicle while I waited and it looked sharp. I was informed on how to use all the features on the car and was given all the booklets and warranty information for the vehicle. Initially I was in contact with Louis in the internet department and came to the dealership to check out 13 Golf's. After driving 2.5 hours to buy a car I was met by a condescending salesman, Ken Sutton, who thought he was the coolest guy ever. I tried to get past his ego during the test drive but that would soon be short lived. It was as if they/he was trying to hide the flaws of the car which at this point was the mushy brakes that clearly needed service. His response when asked about them was "oh its been through inspection by service"...his response should have been "we would definitely give those a look before you buy this car". Upon our return to the dealership I gave the car another walk around to find the front bumper was a different color than the rest of the car. When this was pointed out to Mr. Sutton I was met with the same response or should I say lack of response. His next words would be would you like to make an offer. So knowing the car clearly needs work my return offer was significantly less than the list price. This spiraled a horrible chain of events in customer service by both Ken Sutton & the Subaru sales manager that I would hope nobody would have to go through. At the end of the day this dealership lost a sale due to misrepresentation and customer service. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP to ANYONE!

Our VW Golf was in for a ERG recall and Bachman service didn't reinstall the ERG bracket. So after about 10,000 miles a ERG cooler pipe vibrated until it broke into. I didn't realize the bracket was't there and I replaced the broken pipe. After about another 10,000 pipe broke again. I was told by a good auto tech (not Bachman) that maybe they didn't replace a bracket. I didn't know what bracket it was and talked to Bachman's shop foreman (Bill Smith) and said they wouldn't leave a part out. The pipe broke again. I Googled it and found other dealers across country have left this bracket off during this EGR RECALL and the pipe will fail. After showing Bachman's service manager (Sherry Baker) all of my documents of service and the Google references she only would agree to furnish the bracket they left off and wouldn't even replace the pipe. Worst service in world. Left me waiting, hoping I would go away. Knowing what they did wrong. All I wanted was the price of the pipes I brought from them. I have never complained in writing before, but I feel I need to warn others about how bad Bachman's service is. "BEWARE of BACHMAN service"

I had the good fortune to select Les Hudson as my sales agent. It was the right choice. Les was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. But, recently, I tried Bachman again while looking at Jetta's. No one assisted, but saw something I ckd. on line. I inquired if a car was available and had a response of yes. I called ahead, pd. someone to atwork for me. I went for test, was discussing purchase,only to learn it was SOLD a wk.earlier! This was my first time buying a new car and I had the privilege of working with Josh Edgar. Josh was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the Jetta I was looking at, but he also understood that at the time I was just looking. Because of his laid back, no pressure sales approach and the quality of the product, I came back the next day to make a purchase. After making my purchase I realized that the car did not have a certain set of floor mats that Josh and I both thought it did. Josh found the floor mats (which were not included in the purchase price) and gave them to me at no cost. Honestly, after dealing with Josh and the bachman staff, this act of good will was not suprising. I can honestly say my car buying experience was literally perfect. Everything about my Bachmann experience was terrific. I walked in not intending to buy a car that morning but was definitely interested in the Jetta Sport Wagon. I was greeted by the nicest salesman, Bill Guelda, who made me feel very comfortable, let me test drive the car, gave me a fantastic trade-in allowance on my Honda Insight, and I bought the car that morning. Most Customers hate the car buying experience, and I can tell you ours with Josh and Bachman was everything BUT the usual "car buying" experience. They helped find us the car we wanted. We test drove the car, and fell in love with it. My wife says it is her favorite car of all time, that is saying a lot. I told them what I thought was a good price for the car based on my research of this car on the internet. They accepted my offer, and we bought the car. It was just a great experience, and a very welcome one, for us both. I had actually started to buy a car at another dearlership and ended up walking out because of the whole "car salesmen" song and dance. The going back and forth to the "manager" and we can do this or that crap. None of this at Bachman, just friendly and knowledgable staff, with no presure. We have had the car for a couple of weeks now and simple love it. Thanks Josh and Bachman for showing us that buying a car can be a fun and exciting experience.

I was involved in an accident that totaled my 2010 Subaru 2.5i Outback Premium in early-January 2012; however, my experiences with this dealership's service department was less than stellar. As a result, I was very reluctant to return to them for another vehicle. In this case, my experience with the 2010 Outback was so outstanding that I was already convinced that another Outback was what we needed because the ride, the fuel economy, the handling, the room, the fulltime AWD, the ABS, et al, made us feel like the car was worth $50k or more. After researching the dealer cost of the 2012 Outback and knowing exactly what I wanted and those costs, we had Bachmann Subaru enter into a bidding contest with another Louisville, KY-based dealership in addition to one in Lexington, KY, which is about an hour away. Essentially, the Internet Sales Person at Bachmann's beat the other two to the punch by finding a vehicle in the color we wanted as well as under-pricing them by $600 and $1,200. At the deal closing, the Subaru Sales & Finance Manager convinced me to give his revamped Service Dept. another go of it by promising free maintenance and service for 2 yrs/24,000 miles despite my steadfast refusal to purchase an extended warranty. The car was in beautiful shape, the sales department seamlessly took over the deal from the Internet Sales team, the paperwork was in order, and we left the dealership in a brand-new car less than 3 hours after we arrived. All the financing paperwork was completed, the insurance was ready to go, we could NOT have asked for a more professional or well-prepared group of people and I know of what I speak: one of my brothers is a certified General Manager with professional certification who's been selling cars and trucks for almost 25 years. If there is any complaint about the place, it just that: the place. The Bachmann dealership is huge with a Hummer store, Chevy store, VW store, used car store, etc.; however, the Subaru store is stuck way in the back, like the proverbial red-headed step-child. There is a very small waiting area, no amenities for children, one tiny TV, etc. But, the manager was clear to spell out Bachmann Subaru's commitment to its customers by promising to move as well as expand its store in the next 2 years.

Mark knew I was short on time and on a tight budget and needed a reliable car. He looked into several options and found a car with an excellent maintenance history verified through CarFax. He knew the previous owner, the reason they were selling it, and its past use. He had the car cleaned, topped-off with gas, and ready to go. Grant Turner answered the phone when I called the Bachman dealership about a vehicle that I had seen online. He was incredibly helpful! I had read about the VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI on the internet but, had never seen one. I wanted to make sure it was worth the drive out to the dealership before I made the trip. I had done a test drive of the Mazda 5 and found the back seat to be too small for rown uppassengers, so I wanted to make sure that the VW would work for my needs before the test drive. When I asked Grant to sit in the back seat of the car and let me know if it was comfortable, he quickly agreed and called me back within minutes to give his honest opinion. He then scheduled an appointment for me to do the test drive. He even set up an extended test drive the next day so I could take it to my husband worksite as he was not available during normal business hours. Grant made my experience with Bachman a very positive one.

We originally were looking for a used Jetta TDi but decided to look at the new models. We came in 15 minutes before closing and were greeted very warmly by Josh. Having worked at a dealership in the past I was very wary of walking in and being accosted. I HATE shopping for cars and have bought my last 7 cars online to avoid this. I found that I was dead wrong with this assumption. Josh and Fritz could not have been more accomodating, warm and HONEST! Wait..what? Is this a dealership? The days of "What can I do to close this deal today?" are gone the second you walk into Bachman. The options were laid out and I never felt one ounce of pressure from anyone. We ordered a new car and picked it up a couple weeks later (TDi's are hard to come by). Wonderful experience, wonderful salesperson. I would not hesitate to recommend Bachman and Josh to anyone. We look forward to purchasing our next car there.

Unable to recommend this dealership since the customer service was so bad. Lured in by low price on the internet, found sales person to be uninterested and unknowledgeable about car, he didn't want to even get up from his desk to greet us. Test drove the car, returned next day to purchase car with cashiers check and they insisted on a SS# quoting Patriot Act and Credit Fraud Protection, stating Bachman Auto Group company policy was without SS# and credit check, no sale. Asked to see privacy policy and this stated they could access your credit info any time they wanted and multiple times if they wanted. We did not need credit, they would not sell the car to us and actually told us to leave the dealership.A very unpleasant experience all round from sales to financial representatives pressurizing for SS#. Beware our experience was this dealership is not selling cars but contrary tried to pressurize us for our credit information!!!

Went into the Bachman dealership to test drive a Ford Edge. Had a great experience with our salesman, Josh Edgar. He was extremely patient, as we test drove it twice, negotiated a lower price, and actually left the lot to think about it. He was low pressure in his approach and that went a long way in creating a good experience for us. I hope this car lasts me a long time, but when it's time to replace it, I will definitely go back to Bachman and ask for Josh.

I just traded in an 06 VW Passat that I purchased from Bachman VW 2yrs. ago. Much to my suprise, when I traded it in, I was told that it had been wrecked before I got it. When I purchased the car from Bachman the sales representative showed me a car fax for the car, but it was not an "up to date" car fax, therefore the front end collision was not listed. Moral to this story...if you buy a used "PreLoved" car from them, make sure you check the date on the car fax!!!

The overall experience was very good and Josh was great. The only negative thing is the price the manager was very short with me and did not seem to be willing to negotate with me and in some ways a little insulting as far as discussing the price of the car and my trade in. Pam was very nice and I had a great experience with her. Josh and Pam would make me come back the manager and the pricing is the only thing that would give me pause.

I am Australian, having relocated to Louisville in Nov.2010. I had visited Louisville a number of times earlier in the year & had seen Bachmann, as it's near employer's office. I have purchased VWs in Australia & Netherlands previously, so I'm familiar with VW product range. Compared with other VW dealerships, Bachmann was more conveniently located & was prompt in response to internet/phone inquiry. (I also considered purchasing other brands of car, but I really couldn't find anything else that met my needs as well as VW. I took 3 models for test drives before settling on a Tiguan).In terms of doing business with Bachmann, my experience was positive - A if not A+. My case was a bit tedious - i.e. firstly making inquiries before I had a US Social Security Number, & then wanting to explore finance or lease options without the benefit of any local US track record re personal credit rating. However, the Bachmann staff were (a) tolerant and (b) most helpful in eventually arranging a lease deal through VW Finance. The pricing offered on the vehicle was most attractive, without any real haggling on our part. NB: All of these issues of dealing with a foreign-customer appeared at times to be too much for some of the competitor dealerships' salespeople.

Had a very easy purchasing experience. Found the vehicle we wanted on the internet and started negotiations from there. Made a trip in to the dealership test drive the vehicle, took a day or two to think about the purchase, and then came back in a few days later to make the purchase. No pressure from the Bachman VW staff and it was a very hassle free transaction. We got a great vehicle and were very well treated.

Do not go to this dealer. They will be nice and once you sign the papers it will be your wost nightmare! My car was crap, it was in the shop for 1 month of the year I owned it. Never had so many problems!!! Never again! Worst experience ever!

Dare anyone call me to discuss the absolutely horrific service -Does anyone even care?I have had my car in for service several times. Typically it goes like this -The work will not be covered by warranty if the damage was cause by animals chewing on components or, the warranty is only valid if there is "broken part".The service manager is at best a "monster"I had planned on buying a second car from the dealer and have changed my mind.Frtiz knows me!I am a straight A college student at an Ivy League SchoolIt doesnt take a rocket scientist to know when you are getting shafted!Shame on you

I have taken my car here several times, each time has been nothing but a hassle. They try to nickel and dime you on everything possible. For example, I bought windshield wipers there, which comes with a warranty. The wipers went bad and were still under warranty but instead of exchanging them, they wanted me to setup an appointment to bring my car in, where they charge $88 and hour for service, to check them out, which is more than the windshield wipers themselves. I have also taken my car there to do recall work and when I got it back, my check engine light came on. I took my car back in and they charged me over $600 to get it fixed! I got my car back and ever since then, I get horrible gas mileage. I called and they said it was the Jefferson Co. gas, which is no different than what I was buying before. Yes, their staff is friendly, but I would not go here to get any work done, especially if you love your car and dont want to throw money away.

Jeff Pence, the dealership's sales manager, appraised my Volkswagen at $2500, proclaimed that was "all it was worth," and acted annoyed that I was wasting his time. I had an appraisal in hand from Carmax for over $6000, so I returned there. Bachman lost my sale as well as those of my colleagues due to Jeff Pence's unprofessional behavior.

Every time we made a trip to this dealer, we have had to later return to have the issue either finished or revisited somehow. The last time, the service manager refused to correct several problems which are clearly a result of their repair and which we'll have to take somewhere else to have done correctly. I talked to my salesman and he talked to several people, but she wouldn't budge on the issue. What's funny is that when we dropped the car off, there was a customer there who she was treating the same way she treated me and he said that he'd never take his car there again either.

I had my VW in for service several times. Each time they were supposed to be doing an oil change including checking all fluids. Shortly after my last visit, I expericnced trouble with my steering. I checked and the fluid was low. I filled it up and have had no other problems. They obviously were not checking fluid levels. On a separate issue, I have had my vehicle in several times for the same complaint, check engine lite on. They have charged me one hour's labor ($75.00) twice for diagnosis. The first time they told me they could find nothing wrong. The second time they could find nothing wrong until I pressed the issue. Then they said that my EGR valve was bad and they wanted parts plus labor to repair it - over $300.00. I wrote the service manager several time requesting his help in resolving this issue. I feel he should credit me with at least one hours labor. I have heard nothing from him. As for the sales department., I tried to trade in my VW on another used vehicle. I told them what the service department ssaid the check engine light was and that they could deduct that amount from the value of the trade in. They offered me less than half the tradein value on my vehicle. Needless to say, I will not return to Bachman for sales or service.
