We have been looking for a new truck for a couple of years. We just couldn't decide. Then we talked with Andre Thomas. He took us for a test drive in truck we were looking at. After we sat and talked, we told him what we were looking for and what we would like are payments to be. After that we had a new truck. Andre is a really nice guy. He is not pushy and made us feel very comfortable during our purchase.

I traveled from California to Chicago to get this truck. I was looking for a 2016 Red Silverado with 4 Wheel Drive. I bought a 2 Wheel Drive a few months back, but unfortunately had struggles pulling my boat out of the water. I loved my truck and wanted my exact truck but as a 4x4. I looked all over So Cal to find one, but the 2016 were very rare to find. I found a few elsewhere across the country, but got the run around from a couple other dealers. When I called this dealer. Tom was very professional and upfront about everything. I told him my situation and he agreed to hold the truck for me with just proof of my flight information. Within an hour of my conversation with Tom, I was on way to Chicago over 2000 miles away. We spoke numerous times during my trip and let me know they would have someone pick me up from the airport or hotel in Chicago about 45 miles from their dealership. To say the least, I was impressed. Shortly thereafter Freddy called me and let me know he would be picking me up and completing the sale of the vehicle with me and to just contact him whenever I was ready. I called him the next morning after I got to town and he came to my hotel to pick me up. We got to the dealership and the vehicle was already cleaned, full of gas and ready to go. After a quick test drive and a few minutes downloading the new Chevy app I was ready to go into finance with Khaalis. He had all the documents ready and we were signed within a few minutes. Then Rocky the General Manager came over and thanked me for coming out. He was very personable and friendly and made me feel at home. We talked about the company and the longevity of employees that work for him. They whole team was amazing and I could see why they are one of the top Chevy dealers in the state. I will be referring 2 of my relatives that live in the area over to them when buying a car. In the future when I am in need, I would make the 4000 mile round trip again. Due to the prices, professionalism and service of the sales team. I have bought over 20 vehicles over the last 20 years and I give them 6 stars as the best car buying experience I have encountered. Kudos to their team.

Based on info online, Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook had two 2016 Malibus in the color we were looking for. Sales Andre Thomas gave us his full attention, moving one of them out of the showroom floor and making it possible to look at and drive both cars. We bought one of them and took it home the same morning.

I saw a truck on the Advantage website that I was interested in. "Live chat" told me it was available by the stock # I provided. Received a call from a sales rep. at the Hodgkins location who confirmed the vehicle was there and available. I arrived in an hour to look at the truck. When I couldn't find it I was told: 1) must be on our overflow lot2) it's actually on our Bolingbrook lot3) it's actually on a truck in transit from Bolingbrook (I said okay, I'll wait)4) "um, sorry, the truck was actually sold already"As everyone knows, there is no possible way that a truck went from "available" to "sold" in an hour.I've never gotten out of a dealership in less than two hours, buying with a a cashiers check for the total in hand. I assumed this was a "bait and switch" and told everyone there as much and left. I called the General Sales Mgr. and left him a message. To Mr. Alanis' credit, he responded quickly and said he would look into it. He agreed that something wasn't right because, as he said as well, "there's no way they went from no pending deals to sold in an hour." Mr. Alanis called me back and told me that his staff at Hodgkins had been searching the wrong stock number? He said the truck was in Bolingbrook and was available but for some reason someone lied to me and he would get to the bottom of it. He told me he would have the Bolingbrook sales mgr. call me immediately. I got that call about an hour later and was told there was a "deal pending." xxx! I expressed to Mark the Bolingbrook sales mgr. that I was told it was available and was ticked off all over again. He replied, they (referring to the Hodgkins staff) don't know what I have available. Mark told me that if the other deal didn't go through he would call me. He called me back about 20 minutes later and said "if you're ready to make the deal right now, I won't wait on the other guy." I made an appointment to come in for later that evening.When I got to the Bolingbrook location I introduced my self to Mark and he handed me off to his sales rep. John Montgomery. John and I test drove and he did a nice job of explaining the features of the truck. When we came back in he explained the rest of the process if I was going to buy the truck. I mentioned that Mr. Alanis told me he was going to speak with Mark the Bolingbrook sales mgr. about doing a little something for me to compensate for my wasted trip down from Schaumburg and being lied to that morning. I got two $25 gas cards. I was underwhelmed to say the least. I suggested a couple hundred off the price and was given the story we've all gotten about the price listed online being "so low" because it's the "internet price." I still have yet to figure out what that means. So if you just walk on the lot and don't tell them you saw the price listed on their internet ad, you somehow cant get it? I suggested the install of a less than $200 accessory, for which I could download and print a $100 coupon toward. Nope, two $25 Shell cards. I made the deal regardless as the price was in my acceptable range. Now it's off to finance and credit checks even though my financing was already in place. I got the story that "each dealer HAS to run your credit." They don't. They run your credit even if you've already arranged financing in hope of finding a lender who gives them a bigger cut of the interest on a loan with terms acceptable to the buyer. Tim the Finance mgr. did this with me and actually told me that my pre-arranged lender was now offering me worse terms BUT his lender would give me the same terms. I told Tim I was calling my lender and did. My lender told me that my pre-arranged terms HAD NOT changed and to have the finance mgr. call their Dealer Relations Mgr. to confirm this. Tim chose not to call them and wrote up my paperwork with my original pre-arranged loan terms. He did tell me that "he could still probably do better than that with another lender, tomorrow." Which means he will run my credit past another lender in hope of finding the same terms I got but with a bigger cut to Advantage. If better terms were available, why didn't Tim offer them to me when I was sitting at the desk? FYI, I have "Excellent" credit on both the FICO and the Vantage scoring models. After this it was out to the truck with John to review OnStar and set that up. I understand that it's part of the process that gets done but Jesus, it was pushing two hours already. Anyway got that done with John, who again was a nice guy and informative. So from start to finish, on a truck sale to a motivated buyer (I had already sold my old truck, privately), with excellent credit, pre-arranged financing, a specific vehicle, nearly 50% down payment in hand, a wasted trip to Hodgkins, lied to about availability "it is", "it's in transit", "it's sold", "it is", "it isn't", and finally "it is", angry phone calls due to the preceding and finally finishing the sale I put in 5-6 hours but got two $25 Shell cards for that. Really, there is absolutely no reason or excuse for it being that hard or aggravating. Finally, because the Shell cards are hardly compensation for the aggravation, I'll say this: read these reviews knowing that I was offered even more gas cards for a positive review.

Had visited several dealerships in the area before discovering Advantage in Bolingbrook on the internet. No other dealership had 2017 Impalas in stock. One salesman at an unnamed dealership was extremely PUSHY in trying to sell me a 2016 Malibu which I did not want! I then went to Advantage and was introduced to Andre Thomas. He was very friendly, professional and thoroughly answered all my questions. And yes they had a 2017 Impala in stock. Andre was not pushy at all. I felt I was given a very fair trade-in deal and left very pleased in my new 2017 Impala!

We went to look at a used truck. We were not excited by it, and our salesman Chuck could tell. Now, any dealership would rather sell a new than used vehicle, but he listened to what we needed and found a truck that met our needs for only a few thousand more than the used one after rebates, etc. Unfortunately, it was still more than our budget allowed. However, he found a similar one and got us a better deal than we had initially proposed. We couldn't be happier with the truck, the experience was smooth, and the people were professional, and the facilities were immaculate. Ask for Chuck.

This was my last dealership I visited after researching dealers for 5months. I was interested in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I got in touch with my salesman Barry and he was very helpful in taking in my trade and helping me find the right vehicle for me within my price range. I was interested in leasing a car since I recently had an accident which resulted in a total loss. We had purchased a car from Andre last year and reached out to him for the best deal. He came in early that day. so that he could answer any questions. He listened attentively as we explained our situation, and what we were looking for in a lease. He was able to come up with an attractive deal, which was what we were looking for. He never tries to push a sale and treats his customers with patience and respect.The entire atmosphere at this dealer is very friendly and ready to help you. We have been going to this dealership for years as they serviced our 1998 Malibu, (traded that in last year for a 2015), and our 2003 Malibu, which was replaced with a leased Cruze.

A friend of mine had referred me to John Montgomery at Advantage Chevy of Bolingbrook to help me with my car buying experience. She had also recently bought a car with John as her salesman. I was pretty nervous about the whole thing and as single mom of 3 on a very very tight budget and not so great of a credit score I was terrified. I needed something big enough for my family that I could also afford and John made me feel very comfortable and not like he was just trying to sell me something and get me out the door like most places. He made it so smooth and answered every question I had and didn't make me feel pressured at all. I got the car I wanted a 2013 Chevy Traverse. Initial meeting on 07/16/2016 to test drive 2016 Silverado. Was quoted pricing with the intention of my trade and receiving current KBB dealer trade value. Further communication throughout the week via text, to eventually come in on 07/22/2016 and close the deal with some minor exceptions.Dealership backpedaled on price for the vehicle by 3000.00 stating the the brand of my trade in was not a GM. Dealership new full well initially my trade was a Honda. In my opinion, that is deception. Not only was that an interesting and deceptive experience, but I have no value for switching to the Chevy brand either. This was a 50,000 deal gone bad in 5 minutes.

I live four hours from this dealership. I inquired about a car via email and received a response the next day. When I told them I was interested in the car they said they would put it on hold for me until I got there the next day. I had emailed some other questions that my bank was asking about the vehicle. Tim, one of their Managers answered all of my questions and also informed me that they offer great financing options too. After doing a short EZ Credit App on their website (took 5 minutes) he called me within a half hour to let me know I was approved. I ended up getting a better financing rate with the dealer than I did my credit union that I have banked with for over 15 years. I wanted to share this with you all as it is worth comparing to your long time bank. It could save you some moola! When I got there, Barry was very helpful in explaining all the features of the car. He helped me hook up my phone to the blue tooth and told me about an OnStar App that is free and very useful if you have OnStar. The financing went quick and painless and all within an hour I was on my way with a new Malibu! Thank you Advantage Chevrolet!

My wife and I went looking at a Chevy Traverse and were helped by Irving. We told Irving what we were looking for (seven passengers, room for our large double stroller, plenty of leg room for the tall driver) and he showed us how the Traverse would meet those needs. While there, we saw a used 2014 Chrysler Town & Country and thought it may work just as well. Irving brought both vehicles side by side, went through all of the features and helped us make our decision on the van (not the way we thought the day was going to go). Irving was extremely professional through the entire process and provided a stress free experience. We had our very active 2 year old with us during the purchase and Irving helped by pulling up cartoons on his computer to keep our soon occupied while we signed our loan docs. We cannot say enough good things about Irving and how we were treated.

There is always the dreaded drive into a dealership, where immediately all the salesman come and hoover around you. From the beginning however, our salesman Irving Medina was pleasant and not pushy. He took the time to show us our desired vehicle, went through options, and answered all of our questions. Irving and the staff, including Humberto Montemayor, and Richard Kazlauskas listened to our desires, needs, concerns, and did not once push anything unwanted on us throughout the "paperwork" end of the deal. After checking out several Chevrolet dealerships, Advantage Chevrolet in Bolingbrook was the easiest to work with and the only one to honor their quoted prices for a new car and trade in values. I visited Advantage Chevy sine I found the best selection of Captivas around. My former Chevy dealer in Frankfort had some, but were resistant to any negotiation. The young salesman there was short with us and then called the next day to offer discounts. Too little, too late. Freddie at Advantage took the time and interest to work the deal and I was VERY happy with my choice. Great car, great price.A few days later I saw Freddie again and purchased another car for my wife. They earned my business the first visit and I became a repeat customer in less than a week.That's how reputable dealers work.

Everything was great. Charlie is a great person to work with, we have bought several vehicles with him and recommend him all the time. Everybody there is courteous and do there job well and make everything an easy process. We feel that we are more than just a sale when we are there, unlike other dealers who just care about getting you in any old vehicle just to sell and make their commission. Charlie knew what we wanted and didn't push a cheaper vehicle on us when it took a couple days to work out the numbers to get approved for the truck we wanted. I can't say enough good things about Charles Williams, Humberto Montemayor and Timothy Hosek, not necessarily in order of importance but rather in the order in which the sale of my 2015 Silverado 1500 High Country was made possible. Each one played an important role in achieving the sale the more important. I have to admit and apologize at the same time that sales people in car dealerships and in this business and most would probably agree, but not insulting the three people I mentioned are not the most trusted people in this business. Just like in any kind of business or profession, the mistakes created by the few make the other good ones suffer the stigma they create. But, there are exceptions, among them the three people I just mentioned. They stand above the "few" and work hard and honest as much as they could to separate themselves from the rotten ones. I only wish they continue to excel in their chosen career. Kindly pass this on to the three people I mentioned. They deserved to be recognized when most others fail.

I got a broken away bar on my way home from work. I went right into the service department and they took my car right away and looked at it to see what was wrong. The ratings above are ONLY for the Service Department. They have taken great care of my 1997 truck since it was ordered under Ed James Chevrolet...way back when. It has even had the same Service Engineer/Technician since 1997. I am extremely pleased with your Service Dept.On the other hand, the Sales Department was not helpful in purchasing a new truck. Seems sales folks don't want to work with a person who has a GM Employee discount and knows what kind of truck they want to order.I am baffled that I do not qualify for a "GM Loyalty Discount" on my future new truck.

Hmm...where shall I start. The van was heavily scratched up on drivers side and the drivers side back bumper had about a half inch gap, it was detached. When asked about this I was told the vehicle had not been in any accidents (according to Carfax and the salesperson who knew the owners). But I was looking at damage to the vehicle, I'll let you the reader of this review look up the definition of an accident. ((Sidenote: Carfax doesn't show the vehicle I personally own was in an accident. Fact: it was totaled and repaired!!!)) Then I was told the vehicle was previously owned by the salesperson's (?neighbor?) who had 4 kids and they downsized to a smaller vehicle????! Had a 3 car garage, (yet scratched up the side of the vehicle getting bikes out - most 3 car garage owners use 2 spots for cars and the other for bikes and other junk) when I pressed about why would you downsize to a smaller vehicle with 4 kids, I was then told two of the children are older and have their own cars. It was such incoherent and contradicting information, the distrust already had set in. I really could care less as to the reason the vehicle was scratched up, I just couldn't believe that it was being shown that way. Being married for almost 24 years and being around the block too many times - this was the most amateurish attempt at - I guess - a sales pitch. Anyway, what really takes the cake is once I was asked what I thought about the vehicle and I responded with what about the bumper. I was abruptly told 'we aren't touching the bumper!'. Well that sealed it for me, which I verbalized. The sales person then responds with he will give me his business card (I should have left then, but I didn't). I proceed inside to see where he went, most would have a card readily available, I see him talking to a manager or whomever, he then proceeds to say well if there is anything I can do for you....I cut him off and said ' you said you won't fix the bumper' he abruptly says 'ok, have a nice day'. Wow! I have never had a dealership say 'we aren't touching ......' or even not attempt to pretend to take care of a perceived problem. Very unprofessional and obviously didn't want to make a cash sale that day. I believe any other dealership would have offered to 'kick' the bumper back in place at the very least, he didn't. This behavior speaks so much volume. The only good thing is I do all preliminary shopping so my significant other doesn't waste his time with these shenanigans. I had time to waste, but never again at Advantage Chevrolet Bolingbrook. Our focus is to visit dealerships that have vehicles that are in the condition to be sold and talk to professional salesperson who knows to treat every customer who walks through the door as someone who may come on a message board and tell everyone about their experience with them- this was definitely not the case here.

Over the weekend I purchased an Equinox. For three years my family has been trying to get me to trade in my 98 Chevy Van and I would not part with it. Over the weekend I purchased an Equinox. For three years my family has been trying to get me to trade in my 98 Chevy Van and I would not part with it. I went in for a standard recall for my Chevy Cruze. The initial man who greeted me was friendly and helpful and let me know the work would take about an hour. No problem, since I had a book to finish! The guest area was comfortable and all the workers there seemed personable (exclusing the woman sitting at the front desk, who just seemed rather annoyed at wverything). I was pleasantly surprised to witness and elderly woman so happy that tea and donuts were offered in the waiting area, and also when a worker helped this lady back to the chairs when she couldn't carry her drink, donut, cane, and purse all at the same time. I even got to finish my book literally a minute before being told my car was ready, almost exactly an hour after I'd gotten there, just like I was promised. Overall the experience was fine, the people were friendly, and they even washed my car after finishing the recall! Thank you so much.

From start to finish my maintenance visit to Advantage was excellent. Scheduled an appointment with Samantha, who understood my problems immediately and slotted me in for repairs. I arrived at appointed time and date, Samantha was on phone dealing with another customer. Erick volunteered to get my repair written up and scheduled with the shop. He logged my auto in, said he or Samantha would let me know how things progressed and I went to waiting area. The waiting area is very comfortable with choice of TV or magazines to read plus coffee and other beverages if you wish. In a very reasonable amount of time, Samantha came to tell what had been found and offered solutions to the issue. We arrived at a choice and she left to get the work completed. From start to finish, friendly, courteous, and totally professional assistance and guidance by the folks at Advantage. I am new to this area. If I have additional maintenance issues, I will definitely return to Advantage. When I am ready to trade in my present Traverse, Advantage will be my first stop. Bill P.

Unfortunatly, with only 24,500 miles there was an issue with the torque converter seal. I was very dissappointed because there seemed to be no reason and any transmission issues shouldn't come up so early in a cars life. It makes me second guess the chevy cruze. BUT Samantha Jordan took very good care and answered all my questions and made the warranty work and getting the loaner car go very smoothly and very quickly. I have met her in the past as I am a long time Chevy owner and she is wonderful. Hopefully I will only see her again when this cruze needs an oil change NOT transmission issues again.

My only problem was when done they told me that my car will be at the window or close to it. I waited a long time and never saw my car. I looked through the lot andf still couldn't find it. I went back inside and asked about it and they said it is out there look on the other side that I was mocking. I did eventually find it. This is the second time that this happened. Not very good....

I went in and was treated great by Steve for the lease of my Camaro. So it was a no brainer to see Steve this year to replace my SRX with a Traverse, I explained what I wanted and was willing to pay, and just like last year I went home with exactly what I wanted. The experience that my son and I had at Advantage Chevrolet with Jim,Chuck and Tim was absolutely exceptional, they all made us feel welcomed from our initial contact by phone (Jim) to our visit ( Chuck) who as soon as we walked through the door immediately greeted us with a smile and introduced himself shaking our hands, asking what type vehicle were we interested in and going from there showing us the cars and allowing us to take a test dtive. I understand that there is also an inspection and tire rotation involved but I still think this can be done in under an hour and I waited almost 2 hours.

Advantage had a few used Chevy Traverses that I wanted to look at. Byron is very knowledgeable on all of the features, and was able to walk me through everything. I ended up going with a 2011 Traverse LT. It was the best priced LT with low milage I could find anywhere online. It just happened to also be close to home for me. The third row seat is perfect for my family and it has enough room behind the seat to handle the sports gear that was filling the trunk in my previous car. Byron was super nice and even took time to talk about video games with my son.

Service has improved this trip very pleased. I finally got my intermintin problem fixed with my airbag system This time by service dept. properly to cover a factory warranty issue. Which I was complaining about every time I had a oil change. Service rep made sure it was fixed this time around. So it just doesn't come on 2 days later like it was before

My name is Deborah Doucet. I last bought a car in 1999! So I was very nervous to shop for a new one. I could not have had a better sales person then Byron Mendoza. He was extremely kind, not pushy at all and put my mind at ease. I had to purchase a new car but was concerned about credit, payments etc. I was interested in the Sonic or Spark. He worked with me in my price range. Did not push me to try to purchase out of my range and said he would totally help me. He was very calm not at all like past car salesmen! I decided on the Spark. He asked what color and I was able to purchase the beautiful blue one in the showroom. In fact it matched his shirt exactly! So was meant to be. I will be sending my husband in to purchase from him and friends. He was beyond what I was expecting.Humberto was the next man I met. He was also very friendly and had a relaxed attitude. Hello, the facility is so clean and the workers are very nice and respectful. The only minus I have is that I put a request in online on a Monday for a Wednesday appt and never received a call back to confirm or provide an alternate date. I end up calling on the following Monday to inquire. I think it was just an oversight and I was a little disappointed but I was glad I was only coming in for an oil change. During the visit, I was told about a recall that I wasnt aware of, so I appreciate them letting me know and taking care of it. Thanks much,

Didn't have an appointment until 10-14, but dropped the car off early for our convenience. They started the work on 10/13. Early - WOW! Samantha kept me well-informed, and explained the mechanical things that needed to be done so I could understand. I really appreciate dealing with Samantha, especially when there is so much bad customer service these days everywhere you turn. Not so for my dealings with Advantage.

I have never heard of Advantage Chevrolet until I went online and found a specific vehicle that I wanted. I went to the dealer with the intention on getting this particular Malibu. Unfortunately, it was gone by the time I arrived. Brian did not waste time attempting to sale me a vehicle that I didn't want. Instead, he went out of his way and found one better! This was probably one the best and fastest car buying experiences ever! I will be sending my friends to see Brian when their looking to buy a car.

I came to Chevy Advantage Bolingbrook because I had seen a couple cars online that interested me. When I got there I was greeted by a friendly sales person, Steve Grenfell, and he was able to show me to the one car that was left on site from my online browsing. After test driving that vehicle, which he was very knowledgeable about, he recommended another model, newer, same price, but suggested we take that out for a test as well. The manner in which this was done was not an attempt to upsell me or anything but rather make sure I was making the correct decision in my car-buying process. Easily the most pain-free car buying experience I have dealt with. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or used car.

I purchased a 2013 Town and Country last night and the experience was exceptional. I was greeted at the door by Brian Stanton, who was warm and inviting. Took my Chevy Equinox for it's first oil change and to get my defogger checked cause it was giving me problems on the cold mornings we been having. I just got the car in may so I thought I could get it looked at like my AC switch that wasn't working when I first bought the car and they fixed right away, can't remember the name of the service guy that took care of me cause he didn't say who he was. Had like an attitude when he asked if I had an appointment which I told him I made it online an called the day before to confirm and then for him to tell me it wasn't in the system. I thought my car was under full warranty so I thought I wouldn't be charged to get it checked and was told that I was gonna have to pay just to check it which I told him to forget it cause I didn't felt like I was getting treated right from the start and he didn't bother to check first if the car was under warranty. When my car was done nobody came out to explain to me like they did to the person before me to see what was done to my car or anything so I'm not sure if I want to go back for any kind of service there.

Sorry, but this review is going to sound like a commercial. I found the Silverado I wanted on the Advantage web site for about $2K less than I could buy one locally. I drove from Peoria over 100 miles to purchase from Advantage when they also offered me (by email, based on some photos and my AutoTrader.com appraisal) about $2K more for my old truck than I was offered locally. Upon arrival at their dealership, my old truck appraised as expected, and from there the purchase just happened with no surprises. It was amazing! I got a great deal without the usual back-and-forth price games. And that is what made this my best car buying experience ever.

I have never ever written a review for anything, however after the tremendous customer care I received this past Saturday Im compelled to express in detail my positive customer experience and appreciation to Doc and the rest of the Advantage Chevy sales professionals. The entire process was effortless. I had done my due diligence prior to contacting Advantage so I knew how much to expect to pay but I did not expect to encounter such a kind, patient knowledgeable and highly professional sales expert. Doc Dockery was all of that and more. He listened and understood my situation and reassured me every step of the way, that everything was going to be alright. He did the little things; like take the parking sticker out or my old car and put it in the new one. He help me transfer my stuff from the old car to the new one. He stayed with me long after the sale and after everyone else has gone to make sure I was comfortable in the car and helped to program OnStar to navigate me home. He went above and beyond to explain all the special features in the car making sure I understood how to properly use them. As a female shopping by myself I didnt feel pressured, intimidated or talked down to. Every person I tt was genuine, warm and friendly. I found the showroom to be nice and clean. A very large selections of cars and truck in all kinds of color on site. What I saw online was actually available. The sales professionals were well groomed and few were are down right handsome!! I didnt use the bathroom so I dont know how the facilities were kept. I wasnt offered any refreshments nor did I see any coffee or vending machines. Finally, the very most disenchanting part of my entire experience was the simple fact that Advantage Chevy sold me a car with a empty tank of gas. That was extremely disappointing to say the least. Over all I would say that is was definitely worth the 20 plus miles drive. I would recommend this dealership to anyone that is seriously considering purchasing a new vehicle .
