Saw a Sebring Convertible online for a decent price (CASH SALE OTD AS IS). I assumed it needed some work because of how good the price was and the condition.Contacted the dealer and he told me to be there next day 9AM sharp. Got to the dealer, no one was there, finally an hour later after opening time there was a Chaldean gentlemen arrived and barely spoke English (how bout when you have someone open the store they speak English and can understand you)and directed me to Fred (who i talked to previously) whom he said would be there momentarily. Checked the car out, had a few basic issues, needed brakes, belt, oil change. Basics, test drove it ran OK so I made an offer. He was unwilling to negotiate until I notated all the issues to him and explained and proved the true value of the vehicle (I Owned Sebring Convertibles before) I negotiated him down to a decent out the door price. After owning the vehicle for a day and breaking it in, the wheel bearings started humming and the tie rods blew out, oh did I mention the top leaked too? Took it to a family mechanic after purchase who informed me with the brakes, rods, and other issues he wouldn't let anyone drive that car. I contacted the dealer to see what he could do though I bought it as is. He worked with me and said he do some work on it for me which he did not have to do, he did the tie rods at no charge and said if there was any motor issues and was proven by a Chrysler mechanic he'd take care of it.Overall, just know what your buying and have a mechanic look at it, there is some good deals on the lot and bad deals. Just be thorough with everything, I don't think they swindle you, but they certainly don't inspect nor care to inspect these cars for condition because even when I asked he didn't know much on the car and being a salesman myself I could read he was being reasonably truthful. My belief is they find the cheapest deals and flip them period. But they do work with you and are relatively reasonable. My experience was neither pleasant nor miserable. Just alot of wasted time, but I got a great deal and you get what you pay for period.
