Tried locally, but . . .
Customer Service: 1.0
I was looking for a used Nissan recently, and Billion in Sioux City was my first stop. I had a specific list of features I needed, and found what I thought was a good match. I left the lot without purchasing since I knew I would probably do some comparison shopping. A couple days later I called the salesman (he had my name and number, yet never followed up with me), and he indicated he could come down in price by just $500 . . no more, he said, as this was the lowest they could go. I continued my search, thinking I could find a better price somewhere. My research was thorough and included calls to dealers in seven other communities which covered three states. What I found was the exact same car at another Nissan dealership (not a Billion one), with 14,000 fewer miles and $3,000 less in price. . ..same features and inside/outside colors, too. This dealership was kind enough to hold the car for me for a week until I could get there. The customer service and enthusiasm to get my business was outstanding and far better than what I received at Billion Nissan in Sioux City. Side note: One month later, I was curious to see if the original car at Billion in SC was still in the lot. . .it was, and the price was reduced by another $1,000. Maybe the "take it or leave it" attitude will work on the next buyer. . . .don't underestimate the power of research and persistence, especially your female customers.
