I had a vehicle transferred from Naperville CarMax by Pam, a 2011 Infiniti G37S Coupe. I got a call saying the car was ready for me to check out, so I went to see it. I went on a test drive with my new sales consultant, Dan, and I thought the car was ok and was very interested, but didn't buy it immediately. I left and came back a few days later since I have been busy with work, and I wanted to check the car out once more, but more thoroughly this time, as I had a check in hand and wanted to be certain this is EXACTLY what I wanted. Unfortunately, Pam, my original sales consultant had left already by the time I got there, and I had completely forgot I had worked with Dan last time I came before and a new lady who's name I will not disclose began to help me. As soon was we turn on the car, there are two lights on that should not be on, the parking brake light and the car battery light. I consulted with a few of my other friends online, all whom all own Infiniti G37's and who I would trust more than an alleged ASE Certified tech at CarMax, and those lights are a warning that the alternator is about to give out, and it needs replaced. On top of that, all four rotors on the car were horribly grooved and needed replaced, not resurfacing. I told the lady I want the rotors replaced and the alternator was showing signs that about to go out replaced, the lights turning on, and I wanted it replaced too or I was not interested. Her response? Let me quote her text message with the same spelling and lack of punctuation "Service said light on cause of key did a diagnostic test no alternater issue. That why u get a warranty if u have issues down the road." xxxx of a warranty sales pitch huh? I owned an Infiniti G already and I had my Intelligent key battery die, and I can assure you, the light that turns on for a dead key fob, battery is the "Key" light, not the parking brake and car battery light. Continuing along, I reply to her text, "Can you have Dryer Reinbold Infiniti test it?" To which she has the audacity to respond with "You can once you buy it we have the same machine they have. U have 30 days" What the xxxx kind of response is that!? And I have 30 days? To my knowledge, CarMax offers a 5 day money back return policy, not 30 day return policy. All she wanted was me to purchase the car so she could get her commission, and all I wanted was the alternator replaced and I would have bought the vehicle on the spot. Also, during my short test drive, I asked to take the car on the highway, because I wanted to see how it is like at highway speeds and to make sure the cruise control functioned propperly, and she said no because they aren't insured. Then she made up a story of somebody coming from Florida to test drive a Corvette here in Indiana and she said that the driver killed the CarMax salesman. I did digging on that and she technically didn't fully lie to me for once. Somebody did kill a salesman during a Corvette test drive, but it was in Canada, and the guy was suspected to be high on drugs. Terrible experience from a xxxxxx salesperson who just wants her commission. On top of that, the car was overpriced, why didn't I listen to what everyone else told me! I am taking my business directly to an Infiniti dealer where newer 2012 Infiniti with AWD and with 25k less miles on the odometer for only roughly $1,100 more than this one was priced lol. In a way, I guess she did me a favor with her pushy attitude. Regardless of that, this is NOT how you do business. Stay away from this place AT ALL COSTS. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE and will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY from here. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR EXPERIENCE.
