BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2018 BMW 540d xDrive vehicles. The crankshaft sensor may be equipped with incorrect firmware, preventing the sensor from properly processing input from the crankshaft reluctor ring, possibly resulting in a vehicle stall. Found a car I liked, had it transferred and fell in love. Had everything done including financing and they needed my divorce decree to prove the car was mine in the divorce. Got the papers they needed for that but it still wasn't good enough. They questioned the authenticity of my ex husbands signature. I was asked whether the divorce decree was from the lawyer or a copy. It was in fact a copy from the cifruit clerk where you get copies of legal documents. Needless to say I left without buying a car and showed my greatest support to the finance department with two fingers in the air. I literally bent over backwards trying to get this car. I took off of work to get the requested paperwork they needed, came after work to get things done and wasted many hours of my time to leave empty handed. I think the whole experience was a blessing in disguise because we bought a better car basically for the same price from a dealership that actually cares. I will NEVER do business with Carmax ever again and I will tell all my friends to do the same. The issues they had with my title and divorce decree the other dealership didn't. I think they were purposely sabotaging me. The associate we had was very kind and understanding. He was even shocked they denied me the car.
