Bad Cars.com "Quick Offer" Program Experience

I had a bad experience using the Cars.com Quick Offer program with Parker Johnstone's Wilsonville Honda. I provided the accurate description and all of the photos required of the program. I got an offer and even a "heads-up" telephone call from Parker Johnstone's buyer. I thought the offer was fair for a 2012 Ford F-350 4x4 Diesel Super Duty, and I accepted it. But even before I took my vehicle to the dealer for their inspection, while I was arranging an inspection time with them on the phone, the buyer said his managers were dropping the price by thousands of dollars. I reminded the buyer that they hadn't even seen the vehicle at that point yet, and then he somewhat embarrassingly said that the dealership would honor the offer voucher I'd printed on the Cars.com website to bring in. When I took the vehicle in for inspection the following day, the buyer again said numerous times how nice the vehicle was. As his managers were also looking the vehicle over and conferring, he said again that the dealership would honor the offer. Unfortunately for me, however, the buyer finally approached me and said the General Manager had ultimately decided to COMPLETELY renege on the offer because my vehicle was an "East Coast" vehicle. I knew this reason was a cheap excuse because the CarFax clearly showed the vehicle had been an East Coast vehicle from it's original 2012 sale date until recently. The buyer admitted that pulling a CarFax report on any vehicle they're working to make an offer on is part of their routine processes. He couldn't explain why the issue of an East Coast vehicle was suddenly coming up then. The vehicle's undercarriage from primarily highway use in VA, NC and GA is as clean as a whistle, and unquestionably not so bad so as to treat a consumer the way they did me. There are three problems with this evolution. First, the vehicle was clearly an East Coast vehicle and the dealership should never have made an offer that they reneged on since that fact was readily available to them. Second, lower level personnel in the dealership (using the dealership's owned processes) were making judgments and statements that weren't backed by their managers; the buyer assured me TWICE that the Cars.com Quick Offer would be honored. And third, it is readily apparent that Parker Johnstone's Wilsonville Honda IS NOT committed to the Cars.com Quick Offer program (or their processes and people) if they were this careless in making a Cars.com Quick "Offer".
