We bought our 2009 Outback from Eastside new. We were very happy with the process. I was driving back through Seattle and stopped in to get it serviced. Had some brake repair done and they checked everything. They told me that the head gaskets needed repair but they couldn't do the job because it would take too long to get the part and I needed to leave that day. They mentioned I should get it done in the next few months as it was important. When I returned to Canada I called the dealership and booked an appt. Had the work done and then the trouble began. The car started doing strange things, lagging when I'm accelerating, and huge puff of smoke coming out the back upon start up. I called the Canadian dealership back after a week because these problems had continued and now the engine light was on. In the mean time, I get a standard follow up letter from Eastside asking how my vehicle is running and I reply with the story so far. 2 minutes later I get a call from the service manager Ken who asks me what is going on. Well to make a long story short, we have been battling with Subaru USA, Subaru Canada and the dealership up here to come to some sort of equitable resolution and Ken from Eastside has been in contact with us daily. His help has been incredible. I have been truly amazed by his willingness to keep helping us out when it was not his dealership that created the problem in the first place. Where we were being stonewalled by the Canadian Dealership it was nice to know we had someone supporting us and giving us helpful information. I am only sad that we are too far to regularly have our vehicle serviced here. Eastside Service Rocks.

The 2017 Tucson in ECO drive mode shows some hesitation when driving off at lower speeds. The other available mode is SPORT which you have to select for it to be enabled. There should be an option of selecting how you want to drive the car. That is why I didn't give all the points in shifting. Tucsons are not necessarily the quietest ride in town but the level of road noise is perfectly bearable. The entertainment center is so loaded with features that it takes a while to get familiar with all the options and menus. Perhaps in a couple of months I will be able to score higher in this particular topic. Other than these minor inconveniences I am extremely happy with my purchase. This is a very well appointed trim with features found only in much more expensive models from other manufacturers

Look for a car to replace my 2001 Mazda Tribute. The Hyundai Tucson Sport does the job. While I have only had it for 2 weeks I am enjoying it. The seating is comfortable even for my 6' 2" frame. Visibility is good and the ride is great. Just filled it up and got 24 mpg driving in town. I love the kick it has with the Turbo engine. Rear seating is comfortable and the cargo space meets my needs. The instrument panel and displays are well layed out and very easy to use. The only down side is it hesitates at times when turning at an intersection after coming to a stop. I can't quite understand it but if it continues I'll take it to the dealership. If you want a small SUV I recommend this one.

I test drove the Rav4, CX-5, Escape, and Santa Fe before deciding finally on the Tucson. My previous vehicle was a VW GTI, so it was important to me to get something that still looked and felt sporty while driving it and this Tucson qualifies for all of that. While I felt the CX-5 handled slightly better around curves, the Tucson gave a smooth and quiet ride. The acceleration is there when I need it, without the bumps of a sporty suspension. Unfortunately, in Hyundai, in order to get a sunroof one must purchase the highest model (Limited-Ultimate) that also comes with navigation and leather seats (with rear passenger heated seats)! Also, the cargo cover and all weather mats do not come standard and can carry a hefty price tag. For me, the bonuses that came with the panoramic sunroof were worth the extra price! I will say I have noticed that this 7-speed transmission can take some getting used to. Much like my GTI DSG transmission, even though it's an automatic, it FEELS like a manual at times. On inclines, and some coasting to acceleration scenarios the transmission has lagged to shift into the correct gear. I'm currently researching this to see if there is something wrong or just something to get used to.
