My name is Ellie and I have been living in Maine for over five years now. After moving here, I decided to take up teaching in Elementary School. I purchased a small cottage (year-round) and a German Shepherd. After roughly a year of teaching, living in New England winters, being an elementary school teacher and keeping up a home, I found myself complaining constantly about not having enough space in my Jeep. I finally took the plunge and upgraded to a Large-SUV. When searching in 2017, you will notice that there are so many "new" options. But the Yukon stuck out to me for one reason; it was such a great, premium value for the money. I was recommended by a ton of people to opt for the Denali but after test driving a few Yukons, I finally decided that the SLT w/ the Premium Package on it was plenty luxurious for me. I absolutely love the way the vehicle looks. The LED lighting makes it look that much more premium and screams "I am a higher end vehicle!" Words can't explain how excited I am to own a vehicle with such a gorgeous, well thought out interior. It seems as if everything you look at and touch in the interior is leather wrapped. The Intellilink system is one of the better systems. I love that Apple CarPlay was available which pretty much every other competitor didn't offer. Fuel efficiency is something that you probably are questioning when buying a vehicle so large with such a large engine. I was blown away at getting 19mpg. No way did I think it would be that good. I thought it would be close to 15? Anyways, since I am an elementary school teacher, I need a vehicle to haul all of our fun, educational games, and activities for my classroom. The kids are always super excited when I say "Lets go get the supplies from the Yukon!" Everyone gets excited to press the power tailgate button. Lol. So overall, this vehicle has allowed me to haul, impress, and live happily without having to be concerned about the littlest things like putting a pair of skis in the back!
