The dealer was very helpful at every stage. We have only driven it for 900 miles, but it is more than I expected. It got 44 m.p.g. on the road and has averaged about forty over all using economy settings.

Honda charges extra for what I consider basic accessories. Floor mats and cargo cover are extra $600!! try to get the dealer to include these items. my previous 3 hatchbacks purchases included carpeted floor mats and cargo cover. I assumed they ere included with the Honda fit! I was wrong and it cost me almost $600.

I have had my 2016 Honda Fit for about a month now. A few negatives: Excessive wind noise from front windshield when going over 45 mph...Passenger front window is very slow going up and down at times...the Ac vent air blows hard when decelerating and blows less hard when accelerating. ..and last, the engine pings loud at idle. I have addressed these issues with the dealership to see if these are common for the fit and I have yet to hear back from them. Its been 4 days. The fit is peppy enough and has plenty of room for my large dogs. I don't like the fact that these only come with black interior. .Dog hair and dirt really show up. Also, they don't come with floor mats. How stupid is that? Rubber mats from Honda are 170 bucks. Carpeted floor mats are over 300 bucks. Gas mileage is Good but gas tank is too small. Fuel like comes on at about 8 gallons. Too small. Also, no wheels...it has hub caps! Gross!! As soon as I can save some money i am going to get some wheels. I tinted the windows that made it look a little better. To me, this looks just like a small van. That's about it. Hope this helps in making your decision whether to buy one or not.

Happy new lessor!

Nearly everything has been spectacular with this car! We're getting 33 City / 42 Highway, exactly as advertised. I've never driven a CVT before and find it to be quite easy to use and peppy. Very comfortable seats all around, even for my 6'1" father to ride in the back. Cargo room is incredible for such a small car (and even compared to many larger cars) - we could easily replace our van with this for 99% of cargo needs. If you had to press me to complain about something, the only negative I can think of is that the door panel isn't as thick as those on my previous cars, and I like to rest my arm there on long trips. Rush out and get one!

Some positives: It has a right side blind spot camera! It has excellent visibility. This particular trim level has keyless entry and push button start which we find quite desirable. It has a rear view camera. Negatives: Although the braking is very good, the rear brakes are not disk type. (It does have some sort of ABS.) It has small car ride and typical Honda road noise, but they are not bad, better than some earlier versions of various Honda models.

The navigation on the touch screen is not as intuitive as you'd think. For making the UI like a mobile app, the menus and where customization or settings should be can be confusing. To select a different bluetooth device for audio, it is not in the audio menu - you have to go to settings> audio> bluetooth devices I believe. Small gripe, but overall after a month I really am enjoying the car.

I wanted a Prius. I had wanted one forever. I test drove a Prius several times. The regular Prius I found to be way too expensive, and the Prius-C, which I test drove, didn't have a lot of power. I still wanted it and kept looking. I had seen the Fit, and I have been a Honda girl for years. I test drove the Fit and I was in love. I found it had more power than the Prius-C, and I liked the interior much better. All the reviews I had read on the Prius-C said try the Honda Fit or the Ford Focus for that type of small, economical car. The price on my Fit was MUCH better than the Prius-C. I'm not knocking the Prius at all - it is a wonderful car, but I decided on the Fit based on the test drive, the interior, and the price. I also loved the color I got (the dark gray gun metal). The gas mileage is fantastic. It usually tells me I am getting about 41 MPG, sometimes 38 MPG - and with my own calculations based on the amount of gas I put it, I am getting 40 MPG. The interior is very comfortable, and I love the visibility with all the windows. The hatchback has plenty of room for my needs - I have always had a hatchback and it is comparable to other cars I have had. The back seat is super roomy and comfortable. So far, I have only found one thing to complain about - HONDA LISTEN UP: On the steering wheel controls, the Cruise Control is on the right. The radio controls are on the left. That should be reversed. You automatically tend to operate the radio with the right hand - on the right side, and the cruise control should be on the left. That is the ONLY thing I can complain about. A/C works good, and I use the ECONO mode all the time to save gas - I don't notice a big difference, but when I need a little power, I turn the ECONO mode off. I only have 1,000 miles on my new Fit, but so far, I love love love it.

I was driving a Subaru WRX STI for several years. Excellent performance in every category, but less than ideal gas mileage. I recently changed job and need to commute farther and park at a train station. Worried about if the STI would get tampered with at the train station, I decide to downgrade and get a cheap car with great gas mileage, great cargo space and good reliability. After reading many online reviews (including other subcompacts) and looking at some pictures of the Honda Fit EV, I decided to purchase it without test driving. With the expectation of the car taking me from A to B without fanfare, I am totally surprised by how good the car is. By the way, I just bought the car for only three days. I can't wait to tell people how good this little subcompact is. I really like the Aegean Blue Metallic and the exterior style is just sleek and modern. Interior is roomy with decent fit and finish. Great fit and finish is the hallmark of Honda. Seats are reasonably comfortable, but may not be ideal for very long road trip. Cargo space is fantastic for a car this size. The magic seat is purely "magic". Gas mileage (approx. 38 mpg city/highway mixed) is awesome compared to 21 mpg I got from the Subaru WRX STI. Performance wise, I am not comparing it to the STI. Doing so would be unfair. Totally two different cars for different purposes. Coming from the STI though, the Fit was quite good in the handling department. It is nimble and easy to control. Steering wheel is light for easy maneuver. Parking is easy as it is small and it has a backup camera to assist. I am not going to cry about the loud engine noise during acceleration that many people (including reviewers) complained. Remember it is a 1.5 liter small engine. No comparison to the STI's 2.5L turbo charged engine producing 305 horse power. Even with its small and modest engine, it was surprisingly quite quick starting from a stop light and merging into highway traffic. I don't feel someone is going to smash on me because I was slow accelerating. I think the acceleration is adequate if not thrilling. Its 2,600 lb. curb weight actually helps on acceleration as a matter of fact. Yes, there is some wind noise at highway speed, but it is expected for an economical car like the Fit. Braking is adequate as it only has disc brakes in front and drum brakes in the rear. My "fast & furious" era is gone as I am getting older and am more practical. I am totally happy with the 2016 Honda Fit EX which is an excellent buy in the automotive subcompact territory. What a great car for commute and occasional cargo hauling. I have to wait and see how reliable it is over time and the maintenance cost. Overall, this car is an excellent choice if you are looking at subcompact vehicles.

This 2016 Fit is the third Fit our family has purchased. It has improved in almost every way. Better power, better fuel economy, better interior design. The only glaring flaw is the low rent front seats, at least on our cloth model. The seats in our 2009 Fit were much more supportive and comfortable than these new ones. They are flat, yet somehow feel uneven to sit on and offer minimal support.

We needed a car for NYC driving and parking. The Fit is a terrific choice for us. It's a lot of car for the money. The cargo capacity is nothing short of amazing. The electronics are great for this price point. The seats are reasonably comfortable- more so with seat cushions to provide additional back support. The braking is mediocre at best although we feel relatively safe while driving. The car is relatively quiet but does get blown around in windy conditions. As is typical of a Honda, everything works well and is well thought out. It's a great choice for a small, inexpensive car.

Wow. Just wow.

This is the perfect first car, or any other car. It's a family car, a cargo hauler, a workhorse, you name it. After a year of trying to find a subcompact car that I actually fit in, I was able to put all 6'3" of myself in the driver's seat, passenger seat, and back seats. Of course, the seat was as far back as it would go, and my right knee rests on the shift knob, but I cannot complain with the overall dimensions of the driver's seat. I run a small yard maintenance business, and I can fit my Honda mower, and my STIHL Blower and Weed Whacker all behind the front seats. I have taken three Cellos, a Double Bass, two amps, eighteen music stands and two drums AT ONCE. Needless to say, the cargo space rivals a minivan's. I have tried and tried, but I cannot get this car to dip below 35 MPG's. It costs me an average of $16 dollars to fuel up in the Seattle WA area. The car I drove before this was a 1974 Porsche 914. That car is famous for sticking to the road like glue. This Honda doesn't come close to beating that ride quality, but for its height and cargo space, I'll let it slide. This car has a personality unlike any other car. It knows when you're trying to wind it up and get moving quickly, and in that case, the CVT will fight and try to buck you off the gas. Flooring the pedal makes the revs climb up to 5,000 or 5,500 before you even get above 15 MPH, and the sound is like a paper shredder that hasn't ever been oiled. But once you get moving between 25-60 mph, you'll feel the 130 horsepower start to get along with the engine. Of course, anything above 65 mph has its downsides and I would not recommend going over 85. The wind will start to really affect your control over the car. But Honda, unlike many other car companies, has a feeling of quality that is simply unmatched. I can tell I'll get a good 150,000 miles out of it before having to get anything repaired, something that you won't feel in most of the American cars. You'll be rewarded with more than just outstanding fuel economy with this Fit. Buy Honda, and you can't go wrong.

I leased a honda 2016 fit last month. The storage capability is great. However, my biggest complaint is the manufacturer's sound system. Granted, this is the lower-end version, but it just plainly sounds horrible!! From the ancient knob-based search for radio stations to the just plain horrible bad-transistor radio speakers, it makes me want to shove needles in my ears to stop the aural pain! No matter if I play my cds, or use my ipod or cell phone through the aux jack, it makes great-sounding recordings sound awful! I can't take it anymore! I'm going to have that crappy sound system (and I'm being kind calling it that) removed and go to a Big Box store and get a decent one put in. I'll put the crappy one in a box and have it re-installed when it has to be returned.

Positives: The 2016 Honda Fit is a visually attractive car with its sleek design. Although it looks very small on the outside, it is plenty roomy on the inside. I have to admit that I did have to adjust the steering wheel height to gain some extra space. The entertainment features (MP3, Bluetooth) are phenomenal and making the driving experience even better. The gas mileage is insane and I love the dashboard color feature that alerts you to how fuel efficient you are driving. I also love that because I am taller than the vehicle, cleaning the exterior is a breeze. Negatives: There are not too many negatives with this car except for the acceleration. When stepping on the gas after a dead stop, the car seems to take a few seconds to get up to optimal driving speed (e.g. 0 to 40 mph). I suspect that it may be a function of the CVT, which I am still getting used to.

I'm 75" tall and it is relatively easy to get in and out and reasonably comfortable to drive considering it is an economy car. The "magic" rear seats are brilliant. I have dogs (Australian Shepherds) and they ride conveniently in the back with the seats folded down. With the seats up there is a nice space for grocery bags, and the seats are easy to manipulate into position.

This is the first time I have received wildly different price quotes on a small car like this. Shopping around really paid off. As for the car, I love it. This was my first automatic, and I was concerned that I would find it dull, but it is still fun to drive. I have read a few people complaining about the CVT making noise in the lower gears, but for someone who is used to manual transmissions, I like the fact that I can detect its downshifting. I have only driven the car 500 miles, but I am getting 40 MPG combined driving--better than with my old manual Fit.

This car is absolutely amazing! I own the EX version and I've never been more in love! It's comfy and super easy to steer, not to mention the awesome turn radius. It's super compact and can fit in tight places. Really great gas mileage especially with the econ button. The Honda lane watch is the best invention ever making it super easy to take turns and see into your blind spot. I would recommend this car to everyone!

I read all the reviews and thought I would get one. The reviews on them seemed so good, but when I took it for a test drive the erratic noise level drove me nuts. the Fit has way too little noise padding in it . I have had an older Honda Civic that I cut and placed heavy rubber back carpeting over everything I could. I would think that would be a consideration if you buy this.

I purchased the 2016 Honda Fit when the front suspension needed replacing in my trusty 2003 Toyota RAV. I loved the RAV but couldn't justify the investment of an expensive repair. Budget-wise, it was not an opportune time for me to buy a new car so it was important to find an economical solution. The new RAV's were now too large for me so I needed to find something else. I wanted a car that got great ratings & reviews, good crash test scores, excellent gas mileage, has lots of cargo space & a low price tag. After researching thoroughly, the Honda Fit was the only vehicle that met all of my criteria.

Should have got a Fit instead of the Fiesta 4 year

The newer model of Fit get better gas mileage and looks a little sportier. My only real complaint is the lack of entertainment center options and lack of support for Android Auto and similar products.

Before purchasing this vehicle I had a Honda Fit Sport I purchased new in 2010. I was in an accident where someone rear ended me going about 30 mph. The entire left side curtain airbag deployed. I was the driver and the only person in the car at the time of the accident. This accident totaled the car. I was so highly impressed how safe such a small car really was in an accident at that impact was, I was determined to replace it with a new Honda Fit. The Honda fit that was in the accident was silver, so I wanted something different. I really wanted a Modern Steel Metallic. None were available in a 200 mile radius of my area I was told. I had to drive an hour away from my home to get a Aegean Blue Metallic. White and silver seemed the only colors local available. I was surprised at the features you get with the car for the price. The Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines, Right side cam for merging, Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and Streaming Audio, Multi-Reflector Halogen Headlights with Auto-On/Off. None of those came with the 2010 Honda Fit sport I had prior. I'm one person, no kids. I don't need a big vehicle, so that considered this was great for me considering the price. I didn't purchase a luxury vehicle so I like to show people the new features it came with for just an average car. I've only owned it a month, so I can't say much past how it compares to the 2010 I had. But I'm happy with the purchase and got more than what I expected.

Love it!

I love my cute new car. I've only owed it for a week, but it's been great. Easy to drive, comfortable, plenty of storage despite its small size. Easy to park and maneuver in small spaces. Feels fine on a highway but clearly it isn't a luxury car. My biggest complaint is the small capacity of the fuel tank. It is cheap to fill, but is required every 350 miles. Given its great mpg it's disappointing how often it need to be refueled.

My review to the 2016 Honda Fit EX will be in comparison to the 2009 Subaru we own, and other vehicles we've had. We purchased the Honda Fit EX three weeks ago and overall we cannot say enough to how pleased we are with it. We've been averaging a combined 38MPG, with highway driving right around 42MPG. The ride is ust a bit firmer compared to the Subaru, but definitely not objectionable. The seats are very comfortable (Far more comfortable than the Subaru), and the interior quality is very good. The road noise is surprisingly quieter compared to the Subaru, and the wind noise is virtually undetectable even at highway speeds of up to 65mph (great job Honda). We've been very pleased with the interior trim and build quality. The electronics/entertainment is very satisfactory. Exterior visibility is comparable to other vehicles, with an advantage to rear visibility when looking back and to the right in order to switch lanes (never rely on electronics or mirror). The back up camera and lane watch camera are definitely nice features to have and it takes a bit of adaptation to become accustom to them, but not a requirement because of the nice large side mirrors and rear visibility. Acceleration is more than adequate for rapid acceleration onto highways, and we've not been disappointed at all. Over all, we're so pleased by the performance of the Honda Fit EX that we're selling our Subaru in order to purchase another Honda Fit EX. Minor Cons: The intermittent wipers have no variable setting (it is what it is and you can't adjust it, but it's adequate). The long distance illumination is very good with high beams, however, because the fog lights and low beam lights turn off, it causes the immediate road surfaces to become rather dimly lit. I'm planning on easily fixing this issue by adding an additional set of LED driving lights to come on only when the high beam lights are on. (Low beam illumination is excellent) The audio system is very good quality, but it lacks a little on the low end bass. (Not bad, just not quite enough bass). Engine noise does become apparent when accelerating hard, but not much more than other cars do. Furthermore, once up to speed, the engine noise is not at all any worse than other cars. Major Cons: Absolutely nothing so far. Additional notes to be aware of if you're in the market. The "2015" Honda Fit models were made in Mexico and had a series of quality issues due to an inexperienced work force. However, the "2016" Honda Fit models are now made in Japan, and the build quality is noticeably better than any other locations. If you're in the market for a Honda or already own one, look at the first digit of the VIN# to know where it was made. 1 = USA 2 = Canada 3 = Mexico J = Japan

The Fit fits!

Just picked up a beautiful white 2016 Fit EX, only have a couple days driving it, but great so far. As far as I'm aware there was little to no change from the 2015, since it was completely redone at that time. I love the styling, the EX level tires and wheels look great. I'm not a big fan of Firestone tires in general, but these seem just fine. I don't need nav, and the leather seating and heated seats were not important to me. The trim upgrades from the LX model add the right amount of niceties - wheels, sunroof, better sound, bluetooth, cameras, keyless, etc - really offers a great value for the money. So far in town driving is getting 33-34 mpg. I'm excited to see how it improves as the engine gets broken in. Rear seat comfort and room seems really good, as well as cargo room. My two teenagers fit fine in the back. Three smaller kids would fit fine too, but if you have a carseat, fitting two more back there would be a squish. I guess I should say its perfect for my needs (I haul medical equipment around Phoenix metro, the cargo capabilities are more than adequate for me). Honda did a great job with this, there are a few nitpicky things, but as a whole this car is fantastic. Cons (in my opinion) - When driving, even with the shiny, well thought-out facade, its obvious that its still a subcompact economy car underneath. It's not an Accord, or even a Civic (but I new that going in, and i'm fine with it). Honda did a good job with muffling sounds, but the doors still close with a slight 'tin-can' feel, road noise is pretty evident, ride is pretty firm and a bit choppy over bumps, and the CVT does drone on initially. My old trusty 2005 Civic has a plusher ride, but to me it's not a deal breaker. I do worry a little about seat comfort on long road trips, i'm 6'1" and could use even one more inch of legroom while driving. The most annoying thing for me is the lack of volume nob. I really thought that would be the least of my worries, it does bother me more than I thought it would. But if this is the worst thing then i'll be just fine! Overall an excellent economy car. If you are shopping, make sure you drive one to get the feel of it. I highly recommend! **1 year update** I have almost 19000 miles on it now, zero problems, averaging almost 38mpg on each tank in mixed driving, seats are comfy, back seat is adequate for 2 adults, cargo area is really good for what I need. I've owned several Hondas and their A/C systems all seem to struggle during our hottest summer days here in AZ, the Fit is no different. My Chevys and Toyotas don't have the same issue. But that's my only complaint. Well, that and no volume dial - Honda please fix that! Love my Fit, highly recommend!
