This car is probably great if you never drive on gravel roads. Unfortunately, I drive on gravel everyday. This car sits very low to the ground. I have even had trouble with scraping the bottom on sudden rises when driving in town. On gravel, I have to be extremely careful not to drag the car when driving over ruts or potholes. Even worse, this car is very prone to getting gravel stuck in the rotors, causing a loud, irritating, screeching noise. This started for the first time when I had around 400 miles on the car. I now have less than 3000 miles on the car, and I have had this problem several times since. A week ago, it got so bad that I finally had it checked out because I was afraid there was something more wrong with the car than just a rock stuck in the rotor. I took it in to the dealer and, sure enough, there was a piece of gravel stuck in the rotor, causing the car to screech. I had the rotors cleaned, at my own expense, as the warranty wouldn't cover it. Today, one week later, I hopped in the car and guess what, it's screeching again!!! Very frustrating to have to deal with this with a brand-new car. I don't understand what it is about this car that is causing this problem. I have always driven on gravel roads daily, and I have always done so in a car this size or smaller, but have never had problems like this before. If I had known that I would be listening to this car screech before it had even had its first oil change, I would NEVER have bought it! If you live on a gravel road, keep shopping!

2016 Fusion SE with tech package and 2.5 Engine. Read a lot of reviews on Fusion before buying. Looked at other cars, Hyundai, kia, Cheverolet and Nissian. Most reviewers said the 2.5 engine was under powered. Most so called pro reviwers have a lead foot. So I asked people who had one and everyone said, they have not had no problem with the 2.5 power. I also compared the 2.5 to my Escape SE with the 1.6 turbo and could only tell very little difference in power. So overall the Fusion SE with 2.5 is a great deal. Still do your research, and remember owners will always be your best source for an accurate reviews. People who do the reviews based upon a rental car, does not know the history of the car and how it has been treated. In summary, We love our Fusion SE and would buy another, if ever needed and would highly reccommened the Fusion with the 2.5 to everyone.

This is my second Fusion, I had a 2007 that I put 205000 trouble free miles on. Never had a single problem with it, only routine maintenance such as oil changes, brakes twice, tires ... a few bulbs. Traded it in only because it had 200K on it and I wanted a hybrid. I have been driving the 2016 Hybrid Titanium for 7 months ans 12500 now and it am very happy with this purchase so far. The ride is very quiet and seats extremely comfortable. Voice commands work well for phone, radio, climate control, navigation etc.... Gas mileage is averaging 45.5 MPG., close to 600 mile range per fill. Highly recommended!!

Rented this car from Enterprise with only 8,000 miles. Was driving it on the highway when a wrench light came on and the accelerator lost all power. I could only brake and was forced to the side of the rode. I let the car sit awhile and then started it back up without any problems. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened a day later. This car clearly has an engine problem related to the intake or gas. There is no excuse for a brand new car to have any issues, especially related to the engine. I will never purchase a Ford.

I really love the comfort of the fusion . I have the 2.0 turbo and couldn't ask for better handling and acceleration so far. I am getting 26 miles to the gallon and I have a bit of a lead foot. I love the huge trunk and the fact there is no lip so easier to load heavy stuff. Easy to connect your phone. I don't have navigation. My only complaint so far is the auto climate control does not seem to auto adjust like it should. Audio is easy to use. It took me awhile because I am not that tech savvy to learn how to use all the controls. also love the keyless entry.

The 2016 Ford Fusion SE model with the luxury package is what I purchased. All controls work well and are well placed for me. The center console sits too far back when my girlfriend drives it, but considering that she's a bit short, it's to be expected. The air conditioning works OUTSTANDING for East Texas heat and humidity. My only complaint about this car is the onboard navigation. It is not up to date with current roads and is a bit outdated in its style of use. Other than that, I'm very well pleased with the car.

This is my third Fusion. I had a 2014 Fusion SE. I traded it for a 2016 2.0 turbo with the appearance package. I love this car! The engine is way better, it's more powerful and quiet, it feels like driving a V6. The 18" black alloy wheels, rear spoiler and fog lights do make the car look nicer. I honestly recommend to get the car with the 1.5T or the 2.0T engine, because it's a better ride than the 2.5. Make sure you get all the features you want on the car so you have no regrets. The cash back incentives were unbelievable on this car.

The 2016 seems better to me than the 2017; the shifter on the 2017 reminds me of the disasterous early 1970" chrysler push button one; I personally prefer to have a shift handle that is easy to feel the gear the car is in.

This car does it all. It even parks itself. After having a Camry and a Beamer I never thought a Fusion would be better. It is! The 2.0 has a much better response than the Camry and it rides just as good as the Beamer. It stickered at just over 36K but after some discounts I gave 32K including fee's and taxes. The fit and finish is superb and no orange peel. After purchasing I used it on a 9 hour road trip and after a long day driving I still felt relaxed. The Camry always made my back ache after 2 hours. I have put 11K on the odometer and can't find anything to complain about. Ford has shown me that they can build a car that deserves top ratings.

This car is very well designed as far as its interior and exterior looks. The seats really hold you in place which is another huge plus. I would never buy a car with the lowest available engine or technology options so this review is for the low end car. The acceleration seemed sufficient even with 4 adults in the car. I love the convenient of the controls and the leg room. I am 5'11" and not fat so most cars have decent room for me. The car handled well and the steering was really stiff which took a few hours to get used to but once I did the car was very easy to drive. I would buy one of these cars and thought it was much nicer than the Camry I rented the previous year. All in all I loved the car's style, performance, interior space.

As a car guy, I've owned and driven lots of cars. This is one of my most frustrating rentals. I have been more comfortable in a nissan versa note than this. Why? Getting in and out is like sitting on the ground. But also, the legroom, if you cut off the person in the back seat, is horrible. And there is a place to rest your non-pedal foot, but it is sloped sideways. And the brake pedal is too far up in the air from the accelerator. The part of the roofline where you get in and out, I have banged my head many times and the seat is down really low. The roofline is cut so low it doesn't allow you to do a drive through window very well. I'm 5'11'' and about 275lbs, so I'm a bigger guy. But I've gotten into other smaller cars without this much trouble. The car is well equipped for the price point, but that is where the love affair ends. Oh, and the trunk space is very generous, a big bonus. But for comfort, my wife and I cannot wait for this to go back and to get my RAV4 hybrid back on the road - it is having the windshield replaced due to a crack from rock chips. I had much more comfort in a Camry than with this Ford Fusion. The car has a backup camera, but the screen is really small....really, really small. The air seems to struggle to get cool, but it does have little air vents for rear passengers. The car has a nice feel to it, as far as the finishes, but the space/comfort thing is a problem. It handles well, but the ride is rough and bumpy. That is being said by a guy who normally rides in smaller SUV's.....so that should be a warning. If you like a smooth ride, get something else. Over even the smallest of bumps, it feels like there is a guy with a sledgehammer banging on the floor of the car. And it really thrashes you about too. The rear brake lights are LED and bright. The dash area has plenty of info, and follows the current Ford theme. the radio and controls are within easy reach. The visibility isn't too bad. And the equipment on the SE is good compared to others in its class. But when I priced out what they start going up to in price, after the SE, or when you put some features into it, and I cannot believe people are buying these. I would not buy one of these...I'd highly encourage you to look around and rent one before buying.....I'm so glad I never entertained buying one of these. My CMAX I owned, while full of problems and sounding like a hupmobile, still had more comfort than this.

this is not a vehicle to use to drive more than 1 hour. the seats caused my legs to get numb.. drove this 2400 miles and I was sore for 2 days after I returned it. the good is MPG 32, brakes also. the bad directional control too high/road vibs in the steering wheel / stability on uneven hywy vehicle rocks side to side/ steering is too tight ,just a small movement causes the vehicle to move too much/engine is loud on loading up grades/transmission stays in high gear too long on slowing down/engine has not compression, low torque. the real bad , delay in acceleration when stopped .. when the power pedal is depressed at idle the engine is not engaging for about 1.5 sec.. not good when trying to get back on the road .

I've had this car a month and it has been an absolute dream. I traded in a 2014 Focus which turned out to be one the worst cars I have had. I was worried that this car would feel too big or too boring coming from the Focus. That has turned out to not be the case. This car is very comfortable and the quality of materials is outstanding. Soft touch areas surround the cabin and there are lots of little details that make the interior feel luxurious. The exterior is very sporty, especially with the SE Appearance Package. My car is also equipped with the SE Technology Package which I have to say is a must have. The sound system is amazing and the entertainment system is easy to use and is intuitive. The touch sensitive screen can be a bit laggy but it's nothing that bothers me too much. My car has the 1.5L EcoBoost engine. This car has a lot of power. I have noticed that the fuel economy is less than what the sticker states, which I knew about before choosing the Fusion. I am getting 22 mpg with mostly city driving, so it's not too bad. I would definitely recommend the Fusion! I have been impressed thus far and do not regret my decision.

I love this car, got it loaded up with the Luxury Package w/18-inch alloy wheels, Technology/Nav Package, and 2.0 liter Ecoboost turbo, for under $27K including tax, tag, and title after rebates. I simply couldn't find comparable equipment and performance at this price point for any other midsize sedan. I imagine you can get it even cheaper now with the new 2017s hitting the lots. Gas mileage is great if you drive sensibly, but mashing on the pedal to go into boost is too fun sometimes. Very quick car, and comfortable on potholed DC metro area streets. It handles all bumps well. Highway driving really opens up the gas mileage, get over 30 mpg easily at 75 mph. I drove and like the Mazda6 and Honda Accord, but the Ford just ended up being the best blend of performance, luxury, and technology. I think the Ford interior is of better quality than the Honda Accord EX-L, and the Fusion is just simply better to look at. The Mazda6 is underpowered, though the chassis is tuned well. We already own one Kia, so I opted not to go the Kia Optima SX Turbo/Hyundai Sonata Sport route. Neither one of those got good performance reviews for the turbo models. I love this Ford, and get compliments all the time. Folks tell me it looks like a 4-door Mustang. My kids think it's cool. I did upgrade the headlights, as the stock halogens were pretty weak. The owner's manual shows you how to replace the bulbs, it's easier than it looks. Overall awesome car at a reasonable price.

Tech, NAV, and Appearance options. Overall, I'd say best bang for the buck at $7800 off MSRP. Powerful 2.0 engine with great handling, and the tech package gives a better radio speaker combo. At 2100 miles worst mpg was 20mpg on the first tank; best was 31mpg all highway. One negative is a warped rear window, but I'll live with it. Storage is lacking, and although others say the car is quiet compared to what they previously owned, I can't say the same as the 18" Goodyear's aren't quiet. The too far forward headrests are poor for long highway trips as I sit upright instead of reclined, so a neck pillow is recommended. I find the seat bottom angled too high and my legs are sore after a long trip. The majority of my driving time is city although the majority of the miles is highway. I shopped Camry, Avalon, Charger, Legacy, Outback, F150, and Maxima. The Fusion gave me the most for the least. I had a Bluetooth hiccup once, but restarting the vehicle fixed it. Would I buy it again? Yes.

I can honestly say that this car is a tremendous value purchase. Traded in my 2007 AWD fushion, which was a great car that gave me very few problems, and purchased the 2016 AWD Titanium. Between the trade in and rebates I think I got a great deal for this car. What a car! Beautiful exterior and interior and lots of bells and whistles. Driving and handling are superb and it is an incredibly quiet cabin. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much power the 2.0 Turbo engine has too. It has much more pep and is better refined than my old V6 sel model. Gas mileage for an AWD vehicle is very good with about 28mph so far. The sony sound system is top notch too! This car is a lot of fun to drive. I make up excuses to go on errands so I can drive around. A friend of mine recently bought a BMW 5 series for 55K and was stunned by the quality of this car. When I told him how much I paid for it he wanted to bring his back. I may sound like I work for Ford but I do not. I work in finance and I look for value when I make a purchase and IMO there is not much better pure value out there. If you are looking for a mid-size sedan you must test drive the fusion, preferably an SE or Titanium model. You will not be disappointed.

I do a lot of research before I buy anything, usually spend more time on the internet reading reviews and visiting car sites than I do at the dealerships. I narrowed my search down to the Audi A4, Mazda6, Hyundai Sonata, and the Ford Fusion. Drove them all, ran the numbers, and the Fusion came out on top. So far (its been a month), I'm really happy with my decision. Things I love about the car: unbelievably quiet and smooth ride; interior details like the navigation and entertainment console; comfortable seats; the exterior design is awesome , white platinum paint, and great leg/head room for a 6'3" guy. Its really a fun car to drive too, plenty of power, but again, its the quiet smooth ride that sold me. Things I like about the car: fuel economy (about 31 average right now), perks that come with the Luxury package. Things I wish it had: the a/c and heater controls are up/down arrows - but everyone keeps trying to use the radio knobs to adjust the temperature. Also, the seat heaters require you to reset them each time the car is turned off - my other cars retain the seat heater setting until you change it, or turn it off yourself. I also would have liked a push button start; auto lock/unlock via the door handles like the Titanium version. My son's Scion has those features - come on Ford! That should be part of the Luxury package. But all things considered, I would have bought this car again without question. I got a better deal on the Ford, and my family loves it as much as I do. I think the SE is a better deal than the Titanium, you seem to get almost the same options, just at a better price.

I love Ford

I have owned several Ford's, an escort, a focus, and an escape, I keep going back to Ford, because the customer service is excellent, the prices are good and the cars are nice. I am especially impressed with my new fusion. It is so spacey. I love the backup camera and the handling when driving. EXCELLENT!

I bought a 2016 1.5L Turbo SE Fusion with navigation in November and I was pleasantly pleased with the purchase experience. The car handles wonderfully and is comfortable both front and back. It is both economical and peppy, and really is a bargain vs. marginally more "upscale" vehicles. I have owned Lincolns, Acuras , Cadillacs, BMWs, ect. and this, in my opinion, is thus far, and by far, the best new car value I have ever obtained, even though may not be considered a "luxury " brand or model.

Great car. I get about 21 MPG in the city. Still learning how to use all the technology available, but so far so good. Once you know how to word the commands it the system runs pretty well. A lot of compliments on the cars looks and how smooth the car is when being driven on bumpy roads. I was expecting there to be vision issues, but I haven't had any.

After testing and ranking all available midsized sedans in this class in order to replace my wife's 2013 Subaru Impreza we chose the a 2016 Fusion 2.0 liter AWD This was not my 1st choose as I preferred the Mazda 6 GT for it's MPG, handling, and looks. However after receiving a sudden snow storm here in Montana we both agreed that AWD would be a must. We then test drove 2.0 liter with AWD and immediately realized that it matched the Mazda in handling and looks. We recognized that we would take a significant hit in MPG,( I own a 2013 F-150 with an eco-boost and have yet to meet the advertised MPG). After running some quick numbers the additional cost for gas will only cost us about $25 per mouth, not much to pay for the power of the 2.0 liter and the safety of AWD. Ford was really ready to deal and we paid about $8,000 below the MSRP. We have driven this car about 1000 miles so far and love it. It is very solid and the intelligent AWD results handling on par or better then anything test drove. During our break-in drive we went over several very icy passes and this AWD system out performed the Subaru's we have owned actually pulling us around corners. The 2.0 liter's performance and smoothness matched the V-6s we tested in the Camry and Accord and far out performed the 2.5 4cyl in the Mazda 6. I'm 6'4" and must actually slide the front seat up a little to get comfortable. The rest of the interionic is very nicely done and competes well with the best of the class. The stereo upgrade is outstanding and the climate system is also very easy to use. We now have over 6000 miles on this car and have grown to like it more every time we take a trip in it. I have discovered the sport mode and this make driving this car much more fun. The throttle and the transmission are reprogramed for better response and the change is very noticeable especially when I use the paddle shifters. We live in Western Montana and there are many winding road just minutes away and we seek out the curves whenever we can. In the recent past I have owned a Mazda Miata and the Mazda Speed 3 and while the handling is nearly comparable the overall ride is significantly better. We have had no mechanical issues at all with this car and have been able to see 30 mpg on the highway at 80 mph. We put the all wheel drive to good use this winter especially on roads to ski areas and although I'm a believer in winter tires we stuck with the all seasons that came on it and never had an issue. Having owned several Subaru's and all wheel drive SUVs it would put this AWD system against any of them and it excels in corners on icy roads.

This is a review of my so far experience with my new 2016 Fusion Titanium AWD. I have just shy of 1,000 miles on it and as expected with any brand or model of new car it should be flawless still at this point. I am happy to say that my Fusion is fitting that statement quite well. Time will of course be the deciding factor of my feelings for this car in the long term but at this point I am very pleased with my choice.

I have the 2016 Titanium AWD 2.0. Sticker says 22/31 mpg. Mine gets 16 city and 19 combined. Pretty poor. If I knew the actual was so far off from the claimed I would have passed on this car. Other than the mpg it's a really nice car. A bit tight in the rear seat though.

I love this car !

This car is amazing! After showing to my family members i think we can all agree on how comfortable the car is to be in for any sized person. It drives so smooth, and is just an all around good car. I commute to college and being in a car for almost 2 hours a day, I'll never get sick of getting into my Fusion. I couldnt be happier with my purchase. Justin and the Freehold Ford dealership made my experience buying this car a great one that i know i won't regret it.

2016 Fusion SE

The 1st Fusion I bought new was the 2010 SEL and the car never gave me a issue 1 in 130,000 miles. I used it to commute back and forth to work 100 plus miles a day. Kept the oil changed when the car said to change it at 0% on the oil life tracking meter. Traded it for a 2016 Fusion SE and it will do the commute as the old one did 100 miles plus per day. I thought the trading-in value was very poor on my the 2010 since it was in excellent condition with not even a door ding, but you know the dealers always screw you on your trade anyway. I went ahead and traded up for the 2016 Fusion since Ford was advertising 0% for 72 months cause can't beat 0% interest. If the 2016 is as good as the 2010 model then I'll be back for another review in about 5 years. My old Fusion was a excellent car and the over all mpg on the 2010 all highway driving at 65 to 75 mph was 28.7 to 30.7. So far only have 1000 miles on the new 2016 and it is at 32.2 mpg, but haven't hand calculated it yet, so a little better than the old model. Hope it is as good a Fusion as my 2010 was. Updated Review: It doesn't get the MPG advertised and gets 30.4 mpg all highway miles hand calculated but the dash will read 32mpg. The sticker advertises 36 MPG so way off. If there is a 15 mph wind it moves the car all over the place so this car doesn't like wind. There is a lot of road noise and air noise this car is in no way a quiet ride. If you are 6'2" then I'd say look for another car because this one doesn't have enough leg room and you find yourself always trying to find a better seat position. Not to happy with this 2016 Fusion compared to my 2010 Fusion. I drive all highway with this car 100 plus miles a day and can't say how long I'll be keeping it at this point cause I'm not to satisfied with it. Poor fuel mileage, loud road noise, poor quality stereo, wind moves this car all over the road, uncomfortable seating for a 6'2" man. Disappointed with it so far.

I love this car! After driving my father-in-law's 2015 Fusion SE, I fell in love. At the time I was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 Limited with check engine light (bought it brand new mind you) Chrysler was never able to fix the issue or figure out what it was. With it in the shop more than on the road I had time to learn his Fusion. I purchased my 2016 Fusion Titanium Fwd on July 25 with all the bells and whistles. It as a demo, so I got a pretty good deal on it. LOVE THIS CAR!!

This car is by far one of my favorite cars. We currently have a 2014 Cadillac CTS, 2014 GMC 1500 SLT, 2011 Subaru Outback and a 2011 Subaru Impreza Outback. Let me tell you this car drives better than all of them. The car is just as quiet as the Cadillac and has a lot of pep on the go. Forget about those ugly Chevys, too me they didn't even come close. This car is really only used to go to Allentown and back and it has a better fuel economy than my 2013 Ford Focus hatchback (which I traded in for this one). Every one comments on it and loves it. I have customers coming in my business every day and ask about it all the time and how great it looks. Great car, if you are even consider looking at one make it one of your top choices, you won't regret it!

I bought the base line model and so far really like it. I traded in a 2005 Altima, that I have been driving for 11 years. This car feels solid and well built. No issues to speak of. The sync features work great. I cant speak towards reliability yet, as it only has about 700 miles.

Owner's manual sucks.

I really like the car. Too bad I can't find out any details about it. Car enthusiasts do like to know what they are buying. The manual and spec sheet are sorely lacking in technical details of the car and Ford's web site isn't any better, and has no search function! The owner's manual devotes half of it's pages to "connectivity". It reads like it was written by a teenager that's nose is stuck in a cell phone for the same. The only way to figure out the touch screen instructions are to spend an hour in the driveway playing with it. There are features like "valet mode" which are mentioned twice in other contexts but never explained or listed in the index. Having written many tech manuals, this wouldn't pass muster. The emergency flashers were inadvertently turned on while driving. The owners manual indicated the switch was on the dashboard but the picture of the dashboard pointed out everything except the switch. The red triangles on the switch do not have any contrast with the flat black of the switch body and the sun angle made them invisible.

I got my 2016 Ford Fusion Titanium in April and I'm enjoying everything about it. I'm really impressed with the eco boost engine great acceleration. I have all the whistle and bells and still learning some of the sync system but a lot of fun. I love the 12 speaker surround sound radio, the heated & cooled seats. There are to many things to mention them all. I traded in my 2009 MKZ which I really liked.

Picked up this car @ the end of May & have to say, so far, it has lived up to past reviews; it is a TERRIFIC car in all categories. The ride, build quality, comfort, tech features, etc. - it's all on point! The interior is VERY quiet & the sound system is like having the Boston Symphony Orchestra riding along with you. I have owned MANY cars thru the years & have to say that by far, this is the best sounding system I have EVER heard; figures, with 12 speakers! The features are all customizable & you can turn on / off, the things you don't need / use. The owner's manual is quite extensive, I use it as a reference, rather than read it in its entirety! Don't walk, RUN to your dealer & get one!
