So it was time for a new Ford. This would have been my 4th F150 in so many years. What is the #1 reason I stick with ford trucks? The big comfortable captains chairs that everyone likes. Plenty of long range comfort, etc. So I test drove the new 2016 F150 (Lariat), fully loaded. First impression, the seats were considerably firmer than my 2014. Very stiff. Almost like Ford decided to be more "sporty" instead of comfy. Within 5 minutes my lower back was uncomfortable. Why? because the seat design has built in lumber. Oh it's "adjustable" but even at it's lowest setting, it has massive lumbar built in. I can't begin to describe my disappointment. Ford took the best thing about their trucks and decided to go sporty. The seats are smaller, and plainly less roomy and well.......big. Way to go Ford. Just lost my business.

I will be the first to admit I will be somewhat biased with the Ford F-150. Reason being I have owned an F-150 ever since I was able to drive. Nevertheless it must be stated the amount of improvement from 1995 to 2016 is unprecedented. I have also owned GM cars and trucks as a secondary vehicle over the years...and I have rented many cars due to my employment. Comparing vehicles in general you will be very happy with a 2016 F-150. It used to be only guys needing trucks would get a truck and rightfully so..this has changed. The 2016 F-150 handles well, rides decent, great interior, and overall a great looking truck. The one downfall when comparing to rivals is the infotainment system. I hate it. I live with it however because everything else is second to none when it comes to rivals. The engine choice I went with is the 2.7-I went with this engine choice as I sometimes need to tow and haul yet this truck is also my daily driver. I needed an engine that would be middle of the road when it comes to being practical. I do NOT regret picking this engine. I have had other V-8's from Ford and the 3.5 Ecoboost. The 2.7 is a great middle ground pick. Great horsepower, mileage and when I need the power it is there. It also must be said the 2.7 is amazingly quiet and smooth. If you have liked the 3.5 Ecoboost from Ford's previous generation you will love the 2.7 engine. I will say however if you tow serious weight-the 3.5 will still be the way to go. For the rest of us I cannot say enough great things about the 2.7. Forget the V8 is what I say--however--I have had friends tell me (the ones that cannot bring themselves getting a V-6 in a pickup) the V8 is a great engine. The aluminium I thought would bother me, but I have to be honest-I do not notice a difference-other than the truck handles better, gets better mileage and still holds up to heavy duty applications. All in all you cannot go wrong with picking the 2016 Ford F-150. This is a great truck!

Very happy with my 2016 XLT supercrew. The 302a option package is great. Other than a lack of NAV (don't we all have a phone these days anyway??) the tech is great. Rides nice. Very quiet for a truck. Twin turbo V-6 will make you forget about the V-8. Dash and interior are good but I think the steering wheel quality is poor to the touch and eye. The appearance of the fast and highly functional Sync 3 screen is hideous. Most people set it to nigth mode full time to lose the blue on blue format. Ford....update this asap please! My wifi is waiting. Baby the heck out of it and maybe come close to advertised mileage. I'm getting 20.1 mixed but haven't seen 23 highway. Sport mode is the top choice around time. Good feel, no loss of mpg if you drive normally. Shifting in regular mode can be clunky and lug a bit until you pedal it. Overall I'm happy. A-

I just purchased a new 2016 F150 truck and overall it's a good truck. Some of my concerns are as follows. 1.) I wish Ford would put more technology and engineering into the suspension. I know it is a truck, but can't a truck be engineered accommodate different driving conditions? Say two settings; one for hauling and one for general driving. Do I have to get beat up all the time just so I can have a truck for occasional hauling and towing? 2.) The transmission seams to shift too soon most of the time. I've read where the transmission will adapt to a driver, but overall it drops into second gear too soon, and is a little slow to downshift when necessary. Currently I have 500 miles on the truck and I hope to get 100,000. Time will tell. If you consider getting the 2.7L Ecoboost engine know that it has an auto shut off. In other words the engine will automatically shut off at stops. It can be turned off but you will need to turn it off each time you start the engine. Another thought is to make sure you buy from a knowledgeable sales person. There are so many options when it comes to towing and hauling you better do your homework.

I'm a very discriminating consumer and hold manufacturers to account for what they produce vs. their claims. I've put 7500 miles on my new F-150 and at this point the experience has been great. I had one front tire that lost a chunk of tread somehow but Ford replaced the tire quickly. The 2.7 V-6 twin turbo motor is probably the highlight of the truck. I'm averaging 19.8 mpg to date with about a 50/50 mix of hwy vs. in town driving. This motor has great acceleration off the line and at speed, hit the gas at 70 and pass with ease. Really Amazes me how well this motor performs. Kudos to Ford Engineering. I'v read some other review where people are having problems with Auto Start/Stop, but mines worked flawlessly and is pretty amazing, nice they have a button to deactivate if you're in stop and go traffic. --- Great driving truck all around and I'm really happy I chose the Super Crew as the back seat area is great for cargo with the seats up. Incredibly spacious. -- happy at this point, highly recommend.

Mine is a Lariat 5.5 crew with 3.5 ecoboost. Oddly not on the trim list?? It's equipped like a Limited and I ordered for towing. FX4; max tailer; and big telescoping folding mirrors. Not a boulavard girly pickup, but nice platinum white one with pulling power. NO SUN ROOF...why? dont need it and weakens the roof in a rollover. It drives serine and is vault quiet. Nice to drive, but with less turing circle than my 2011 XLT 5.5 crew was and the front seats were better in the 2011. . The Goodyear model tires named "Fortitude" model are way too soft 5 ply and presents a jitttery ride with sloppy control. So, i traded them for Michelin Defenders LTX MS (new 2016 model) range load E and its a changed pickup. It is more settled and planted on the road with zero jittery ride Much better handling and cornering. A bit more firm ride due to the E load range tires. This is the tire for this pickup, especially if you want to tow. I have read many complaints about the jittery ride , even in Conusmer's Reports. Well, tires are never mentioned how much they effect the performance and handling in vehicle reviews. Ford would sell many more pickups if they would consider this tire as standard for an FX4 and max trailer tow options. Tires matter always...and tire pressure. So far I am elated and looking forward to driving my pickup and pulling my trailer. I would seriously look at the Fords their safety is top rated and build quality is outstanding. I have owned two ford F150s in the last 15 years and all were good to me. BTW...drive the turbo with reason , check tire pressures often and you'll get decent economy....forget good gas mileage when you tow......10 is normal. Also, use premium fuel as Ford recomends when towing. You have the engine....use it to its maximum capablity...you paid for it!

Had a great buying experience as usual at my local Ford dealership (Ray Skillman). My wife fell in love with our 2016 White Lariat FTX as soon as she drove it and I am afraid she is going to drive the wheels off it before the first year. All the bells and whistles you could ever need and looks great. The leveling kit and 6 inch lift forced me to change the trim on the garage door to get it in. I have only found one car wash that is able to take it because of the tire width. There are a few things that keep it from being the best F150 I have ever had. The Home Link wont work no matter how many times I try to get it to work. The door seals seem a little noisier than I am use to even though they don't leak. The V8 5.0 MPG sticker not even close which I knew wasn't going to be but would be nice if they were more honest about it.

Ford has FAILED their customers by ignoring safety

I ordered a custom 2016 F150 Limited in January and it arrived in May. Since then, it has been downhill. Most recently, the brakes completely FAILED at about 3,000 miles. The worst part of this FAILURE is that they, FORD, has known about the defect for YEARS and has FAILED to solve the problem. We aren't talking about a turn signal not working, we are talking about THE PRIMARY SAFETY FEATURE OF EVERY VEHICLE ON EARTH...THE BRAKES!! The recalled hundreds of thousands of 2013, 2014 and 2015 trucks for this problem, but yet it continues....why? Actuaries which do the numbers and it more cost effective for Ford to repair the trucks and settle any litigation that comes from it rather than going back to the vendor and repairing the causal factor for the failures. I will never buy another Ford product in my life and am more than happy to tell everyone I come in contact with about it. We are at 3 weeks in the shop and the dealership still doesn't have the parts to fix it...a master cylinder? Really? Ford Sucks!

What should have been just a scrape turned into a major body repair. My son was parking this large truck in tight spaces at his college parking garage. While making a turn he scraped a concrete column. With most cars (certainly trucks) this would have been an ugly scrape - probably would require repairs for cosmetic reasons. However the aluminum body literally tore open around the rear door handle. The side of the truck bed literally buckled. I expect, with the typical steel body truck he could have driven around with an ugly scrape until not taking classes and convenient to repair. Now we have to get it fixed asap to avoid water getting in through the gash in the body, etc. After less than 500 miles the windshield washer pump stopped working. The service people were helpful enough to take it in on a Saturday and replace the pump at no charge or deductible. The auto stop/start also stopped working. I don't think its needed so much, but I need to get it diagnosed to make sure there is not some issue with the electronics. The dash display says "vehicle is charging". With less than 1,000 miles on the truck not so happy with having to schedule repairs and dealer appointments.

MPG overstated, by quite a bit. This truck will never reach over 14 MPG. Ever. Door seals falling out before the first oil change. Carpet in the cab pulling up for no reason. Transmission unresponsive, any acceleration requires a downshift. Maybe 2 downshifts. Incredibly under powered. Auto-kill very dangerous at intersections, unresponsive or delayed. This truck is not only poorly engineered and built, but dangerous. The sync "tech" is 5-10 years behind. It does not even have simple navigation. It's as if the "tech" was an afterthought. Generally clumsy and awkward to drive. Almost impossible to park in an urban setting. Wholly impractical. It doesn't seem like Ford invested a lot in the engineering of this truck. Cost driven up to unreasonable amounts due to American unions. A $20K truck, sold for over $50K. I would suggest a Ram truck instead.

Let me just say that I grew up in a Chevy household and I previously owned and loved my Ram. When it came time to replace my 00 Ram 1500 I was positive that I would be buying a new Ram truck. My husband convinced me to drive the new F150. I found both an F150 and the Ram 1500 online at my local dealers, both had comparable options and pricing and I scheduled the test drives for the same night. At the end of the night my mind was easily made up. I went back the next day and bought the Ford F150 Lariat FX4. I am in LOVE with this truck. The quality of the interior is superior, the handling is amazing, both when I am towing and when I'm not. The cab is super quiet, the ride is great, especially for a truck and it drives like a truck. I like that. It does not drive like some oversized car. I have the 2.7l V6, and gas mileage is better then I expected. I get about 15-16 mixed driving and 19-20 highway. I live in Southern California where we base travel on time not distance, because traffic here sucks, so I'm pretty impressed. LOL! The truck has enough power to get out of its own way, nice acceleration getting on the highway, but handy enough to mange the traffic and get in and out of the parking garages. I purchased the Super-Crew Cab and there is more then enough room in the back for my 6'4" son. The back seat floor is flat, so when you fold the seats up you have a ton of room to transport items that you might not want to toss in the bed. I have the 501A package and all the options included in that are fantastic. I love the remote start and keyless entry. I did have the dealer install running boards. Even as tall as I am (5'9"), I didn't want to break down the edge of the drivers seat climbing in and out. Overall I love this truck and would recommend to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Bought the truck brand new and after 8 days and 300 miles, the engine died. Yes, died. Unbelievable! We liked the truck when it ran. Unfortunately, it didn't run for very long. You would think Ford would replace the truck. At this point, they have had the truck as long as I have.

Just Wow. Never bought a Ford truck before. $10,000 in rebates knocked down the 2016 F150 to 40,000. Nice Tacomas are $34-39,000. Just yuck for a small truck. And I love Tacomas. This Ruby red, ELT, 4x4, high end tow package, Nav, power/heated seats, 4 wheel discs, 3.5 TWIN TURBO, 365HP, 410 FPT, is just an amazing, beautiful truck. I call her "Big Sexy." The brand-new, huge, Clarksville TN dealership is unreal and they don't play. Always want to make a deal and make the customer happy. Bought it Saturday and have zero regrets. I did not want the leather, center console (I can seat six), or sunroof. The cloth seats are thick and firm with lumbar. It still came with a locker and the crazy Ford trailer backup feature. I only added on the flipping modular tonneau cover which locks into the rails, comes with drain tubes so your stuff doesn't get wet, and is secure for your cargo because the tailgate in this baby locks. It was $1100. I looked it up online and suppliers sell a similar one for 1800-2000. My wife and daughter both easily drove it because it came with running boards, the seats can move WAY up, and the pedals can also move electronically front or back.

I ended up buying the 3.5 Ecoboost. I was skeptical at first because of actual fuel mileage reviews. My trip home, IMI showed my average at 23 mpg at 65 mph. Then it shows I'm getting 16.9 driving in the city. So far I am extremely pleased. I will also recommend buying from Murray Ford in Starke, Florida. My salesman was Anthony Sweat and he had to work to find a truck with the exact options that I wanted. They were great and also have a 15 year...150,000 mile power train warranty. The truck runs and rides great too!

First, this review is for the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, but they don't have that selectable for the Platinum 4WD SuperCrew (odd?). I got this trim level with the optional 701A equipment group, because I first and foremost absolutely wouldn't go without adaptive (radar based) cruise after using it for the last 5 years on my Chrysler 300. To that, it performs grandly (much better than the crappy laser(?) based one on my 2015 Toyota Sequoia Platinum). I've been a Chevrolet owner for 22+ years and never cared for Ford interior but LOVED the company. I finally found one I love enough to buy, and I really do like this vehicle. Still, there are a few things I wish they would just ever so slightly change: 1) Make the adaptive hi-beam headlights bright only operate when switched to hi beams. I can over-ride it when it is constantly switching in an urban environment by turning off adaptive hi-beams in the setup, or by turning the knob to just "ON". :( That isn't real practical or helpful. I would much rather just switch it between "Lo Beam" and "Adaptive" on the stick. You can force it for 60 seconds, but that is all. Minor, I'll just turn it off, and not have feature, but seems easy to accommodate in software. 2) I would like the ability to enable an audio beep-beep warning on the Blind Spot Detection when you engage the blinker in and something is there. Too often I miss the small amber blinking in the mirror. This feels like it would be easily updated in software, as they audibly warn you when a vehicle is approaching when in reverse, just like I would like. 3) I miss not having front ultrasonic parking sensors that I have on Chrysler 300. I've looked and searched the manual, and I'm not sure how they do the auto park, but don't have those? I've checked, and pulled up until I lightly bumped a wall, and nothing...no sound. 4) No lit gear indicator on the gear shift (or more limited physical shifting pattern). It sucks to have a label for the gears right next to the shifter, but no indicator showing which one you are in, or some physical jog left right before dropping into M-2-1, at least? When the truck is dark, you really can't see if it is in D or N or M when engaging. At least my Chrysler also made the shifter only go P-R-N-D (stop, and then slap it right into Manual with up down shift). But this has P-R-N-D-M-2-1 all in a soft clicking line, and it is easy to go right past D...and no cue (without looking up at the instrument panel). :(

After purchasing a new 2016 F-150 King Ranch with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, I should be loving the new truck feeling, but instead I am disappointed and frustrated with Ford’s lack of customer appreciation and quality. At only 3000 miles, the truck’s brakes failed due to brake fluid leaking from the master cylinder into the brake booster. This is a very dangerous defect – the brake pedal just goes to floor and virtually all ability to stop the truck is instantly gone. Unfortunately, Ford has known about this problem for 4 years and in fact recalled 2013 and 2014 models in May 2016 for the exact same issue. The problem is also being reported in 2015 models. I had my truck repaired under warranty – it was at the dealership for 3 weeks – but there is no excuse for Ford allowing such a dangerous defect to persist for so long. As if Ford’s lack of quality isn’t bad enough – I also had defects with the interior console, chrome grille and excessive wind noise – their lack of customer appreciation is even more disappointing. Ford says in their Warranty guide that “customer satisfaction is their no. 1 goal”, as it should be for a $60,000 truck, but it is all talk because when you try and get warranty service performed they force the dealership to go through a prior approval process where someone sitting in Ford’s corporate offices looks for every way possible to deny a warranty claim. Even worse, the dealer has no recourse when a warranty claim is denied except to pay for the repair out of their own pocket. The customer also has no recourse – when calling their Customer Relationship Center, you speak with an unknowledgeable representative who can do nothing to help you except say they are sorry. My truck has a defect in the plastic chrome grille that I noticed when washing the truck the first time – about 2-3 weeks after delivery. Even though the dealer agreed it looked like it should be covered – they even ordered the replacement grille – when they submitted the claim for prior approval, it was denied with the Ford corporate reviewer saying the damage was caused by a solvent and had to be noted at time of delivery or submitted within 1 week to be covered. Being a chrome surface on a large truck, the defect is not obvious on cursory inspection so I never really noticed it until the first wash and just assumed it would be covered by warranty when I brought the truck in for its first service. Bad assumption on my part but you would think Ford would give the customer a little more consideration on a $60,000 purchase. Clearly, customer satisfaction is below corporate profits on their priority list. I have purchased many new vehicles in my lifetime – GM, Honda, Acura, Volkswagen, Isuzu – and have never received such poor treatment with regard to warranty service. This my first Ford and it will likely be my last unless my experience with this truck improves dramatically. Save yourself the disappointment and get a Sierra or Silverado – they are about $3,000 - $5,000 less for a comparably equipped SLT or LTZ and I bet you get treated more like an appreciated customer.

Have had Suburbans and Tahoes, but wanted a plain old pick up so went with the Ford. I traded in a e550 Mercedes and I say that because I don't miss it a bit. At 6/3 285 pounds I am not a small guy and love the room inside this cab. The bells and whistles are enough that I really don't miss the Benz or the Lexus I had before it. Really the only two complaints are 1) the fuel consumption is much more than they advertise. The 20 around town and 18/25 is a joke!!. I get around 16 combined with it being about a 65/35 split--city to highway. My only other complaint is the AC. Wish it were stronger. I usually drive with it on and it is one big cabin and when it is 95 outside it struggles to really get the temp down inside and the fan switch sets right behind the shift lever in the middle bottom of the dash panel. Mind you the air is sufficient just not icy cold. Those are my two complaints, neither all that serious. Truck rides very nice, good punch if you put your foot in it and with the large fuel tank can easily get over 550 miles on a tank and might easily top 650 if I ever just had it on the highway all day. There is a TON of room in the back of the cab, the seats fold up very easily, my dog runs around in the back like he owns the truck. Otherwise, had it 6 months and really no complaints and love driving it.

Love this truck. had a 2000 Silverado great truck i drove it 256,000 miles only things that went out were 2 wheel bearings and a fuel pump, and i still have a 2009 silverado with 165,000 miles had to replace a seal in the rear end but its been a great truck! had a Toyota Tacoma and it was a rust bucket that rode like a radio flyer wagon. So now i decided to go with a new Ford Went shopping and found i really like this new ford the body is made of aluminum. Great idea ford!!! now i don't have to worry about the salt. This new ford drives very well quiet and handles great. The 2.7 feels like a big V8. I test drove the truck then i told the salesman that he must have got the wrong window sticker on this one because when you mash the peddle it takes off and i mean it takes off!! that sold me on the 2.7 I hope this truck is as reliable as my Chevy trucks. So far its a joy to drive and it has so many features. I love the back up camera! and the sliding glass sun roof with a 36 gal fuel cell yea thats right it has the optional 36 gal fuel tank. love it. probably won't like it so much when i have to fill it up from empty. but gas isn't that bad right now. you will never know you are in a v6 unless you open the hood. Dear Toyota why cant you make a truck that doesn't rust away never again Toyota! one more reason i went with Ford it wont rust away like the Toyota. only way i would ever buy a Toyota ever again is if they made the whole thing including the frame from aluminium!

Traded my 2009 King Ranch 5.4 V8 super crew 6.5' bed for the new one. Have 3.5 V6 turbo and a short 5.5' bed. I will miss my longer bed. I could not locate a crew cab with the 6.5' bed. Truck too new to really rate it but so far so good. Many improvements to the sync system and some useful electronics for safety and ease of driving. Overall, very happy until something goes wrong. Did not like the double glass roof because of the heat it let in past a flimsy thin cover. Had a window tinter put solar tint which helped.

My 2016 Ford F150 Supercrew FX4 King Ranch has all the bells and whistles a man could ask for. The safety features really come in handy, especially the adaptive cruise control on the highway. The massaging and air conditioned seats are very helpful on long drives. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine is not as fuel efficient as one might expect, however, the horsepower and torque curve feel endless. The prices one pays for these trucks(the sticker price on mine was almost $70,000) are high, but that is to be expected when you cross an F150 with a Lincoln.

As the Flagship product for Ford, all I can say is: RUN AWAY! I have owned this truck for less than three months and have already seen my dealer service center more times than I have my barber, my grocer, and my reverend, combined! The truck is a mechanical and technological nightmare. We'll start with the least-offensive items first and build from there. On day two, the tire monitor started going off. Seeing it down to 27 psi, I pulled in to the local tire store right off the road (later would find out that Ford would have preferred I drive it to a dealer--apparently they don't mind driving on rims and shredding tires). The teenager at the store told me that the tire simply hadn't been "sealed all the way around". 30 minutes and $22 later, back on the road. A week or so later, the dashboard console screens went out. After restarting the car, back on they came. So, I have the equivalent of Windows 10 in my truck--just reboot at the blue screen, I thought. Then, mid-May the same console issue happened again, except this time I also lost the engine gauges (oil pressure, trans. temp). While driving the car home (a Sunday), the radio came back on, but it was tuned to 87.5 (not a station in Minnesota) at about 28 out of 30 volume. None of the buttons work on the consoles, and none of the screens are available either. So, there I am driving down the highway with all of the windows down to drown out the white-noise of the radio. I proceed to log in to the SYNC website (thinking it's a SYNC problem). The wonderful call center specialist actually had me call the SYNC 800-number and walked me through a manual update of the SYNC software from a USB drive. She was a delight to work with, and one of the few positive highlights through this process. The SYNC update worked...for about 4 weeks. Then, the F150 world went black again. The dealer tried to help and performed a software update. Ford has since claimed that they cannot replace any relays or controller modules because, "the systems are not throwing off codes. Well, go on Youtube and search around for 'F150 console issues', and you'll find plenty of recent issues like this. The best part--Ford has claimed that the SYNC group is not really part of Ford, and they can't pull the records of my chat session or phone calls in May. Now, it's no secret that Ford is running away from the SYNC platform as fast as it can, but it's nice to see they're tossing their customers into the tailwind too--no concern at all. At this stage, I get the equivalent of jingling a few wires together to reset things; Ford won't authorize any repairs because the Code Fairy has yet to swoop down and convince Ford corporate that there is a problem. The dealer even took pictures of the malfunctioning dashboard--Ford disregarded it; good to see they really believe their service teams! The icing on this junk cake? In the midst of all of this, the turbo charger relief valve on the Ecoboost charger went out in mid-June. No warning lights or anything, just a hissing/pop sound like an old steam vent. I find out after driving my car home that drivers shouldn't go over 50 miles an hour with the relief valve out because it can damage the turbo...and the fuel injectors! Glad to see the Ford engineers put all kinds of concerns into the tail pipe emissions (the dash goes off like a Christmas tree when there's condensation in the tailpipe), but problems with a major engine component--we don't need to warn drivers about that... I know that every manufacturer turns out the occasional dud. Issues can happen. What burns me about this is that Ford has over-engineered a vehicle platform to the point of being unusable. Then, they make no effort to actually REPAIR the problems (just unhooking the battery cables for 10 mins. is not a repair). Heck, the service managers told me they wouldn't tow anything with it because, if the console goes out, you lose the towing control functions and the gauges needed for towing. It's an FX4 off-road model for pity's sake--that's what it was built to do! Ford has walked away on a loyal customer (leasing Fords for over 20 years). I have already turned two potential customers away from Ford, and I will do so as long as I walk this earth. Next weekend I'm leasing a Nissan and putting the F150 in my garage until my lease is up (in 33 mos.). I've got two words for the folks at Ford: Pontiac & Oldsmobile; nobody thought they'd go away either.

I rented a ford truck to carry some material and dropped a toolbox by accident into the bed, puncturing a hole. I had to pay for it and it cost me over $1000. Unfortunately, this happens a lot as now I see Chevrolet is doing a test it is advertising that its steel bed holds up while Ford's can no longer do the same. So you get better gas mileage in the Ford but if you make a mistake a drop a moderately heavy item in the bed, you will have a hole in the floor. I traded in my 2013 F-150 xlt for a new 2016 model. Didn't really need a new ruck but they were having such a really good at our local dealer that I just couldn't resist the deal. I've always been a V8 man myself but was told to test drive the new 2.7 Eco boost. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't drove it. This truck will out run my old v8 5.0. I've only put 200 miles on it so only time will if the engine is as good as the 5.0 in reliability. As for the looks of the truck, all my buddies can't believe how how plush it is. Everyone that rides in it can't believe how it rides and handles. The Chevy guys all say I wish my Chevy rode like this. So for anyone wondering about the 2.7 eco boost just go and test drive you will love it. Even tho the engine isn't broke in yet I have been getting 24 mpg going to work on the Wv mountain roads.

This is my third F-150 SuperCrew. I have been happy with the first two, but the 2016 takes that up several notches. Other than the multitude of bells and whistles, the first thing i noticed was the quietness and smoothness of the ride. The instrument panel provides a lot of information in a very readable display. The loading ramps are a great design. If I have one disappointment, it is with the way the bed extender fence is mounted to the truck - the tail lights must be removed to access the nut that holds the mounting screw in place. I wasn't sure about the Eco-boost engine, but the sales guy recommended it, and I am not disappointed. It seems to have plenty of power and acceleration. I get a lot of ooh and ahs when I show my truck to my friends, and some say that a truck shouldn't be this luxurious.

Excellent interior; easy access; driver friendly controls; great power; love the rear view camera for hooking up a trailer; handles extremely well for a big truck - a little floaty without a load, but holds the road very well. Mileage better than expected for this size truck with the 5.0 engine. Have now - November 2016 - put 17k miles on my F 150, including towing a cargo trailer from South Florida to PA. Continue to be very satisfied. As reviews have stated, the 5.0 requires a kick in the butt under load, but still delivers. Mileage drops from around 20=21 on the highway to around 13 towing a 6x12 loaded cargo trailer and with the truck (8ftbed) loaded as well, but it is still a pleasure to drive. Don't find SYNC 3 very creative with my Apple phone - in fact the Garmin navigator I use is much better integrated with the phone than the truck. Hoping for software updates that will improve functionality between the iPhone and SYNC3. Very low oil consumption - 1/2 qt approx up to first oil change, but none since then. Will soon have experience with cold weather operation,, doubt the OEM tires (Wrangler M+S) will be adequate, but we will see.

Amazing truck, went from Silverado LTZ to this truck. Just an absolute dream to drive. Engine is so powerful so far 188 miles on it, and it's a beautiful piece of technology. The Platinum is the most superior of the packages, the limited is for those that use the truck as a luxury sedan, the platinum with the FX4 package is the ultimate luxury 4x4 truck. It's a pleasure to get in it, and drive it. Thanks Ford, for the great deal, and trade in, and one my best vehicle buying experiences in 25 yrs !! The small twin turbo motor (2.7) is great---really good acceleration, responsive, and good gas mileage. So far, my gas mileage has been 21 - 22 MPG in combined highway and local driving reasonably conservatively---for true mileage calculate it yourself---the truck computer ends up displaying 2 - 5 miles per gallon more than you are really getting). Cabin is very quiet. Ride is quite comfortable, except when you go over bumps of course. Good seating position in the front---rear seats are better than I thought they would be---actually tolerable for adults of average height for short rides. Wish Ford would sell an accessory lockable gas plug for the truck. Alas, the huge annoyance with this truck is the auto-engine-off. Although Ford gives you an override button, deactivating the auto-engine-off is only good for one driving cycle, so you have to push it every time you get in the truck if you don´t want the engine shutting down every time you come to a stop. You might come to a stop for just one second, and the engine shuts down! Also, make sure you want a large truck---this thing is big.

I'll start by saying I rarely write reviews for anything, but this truck is really exceptional. I have researched all the competitors for months, and have owned many trucks in the past (Avalanche, Silverado's, just came out of a 2014 Expedition). Let me say Ford really nailed it with this truck! It is beyond comfortable, easy to drive, the technology is just amazing, and it looks fantastic. The Ecoboost engine is unbelievably quick (Edmunds did not have a selection for a King Ranch Ecoboost for the review). Just towed my 24ft camper with it easily. My only wish is although I love the full sunroof I would have preferred an option for a smaller one to be able to put in an overhead DVD player, but that's very minor. The rear seats fold up with one touch and the fold flat floor is great. The massaging seats really sold my wife on it. Showed it off to family and they were simply amazed. Would like to see Ford incorporate the coil springs like the Ram but the ride is really decent, not at all as jittery as many reviews make it sound. The Avalanche had a great ride and this is very comparable. Don't hesitate to buy this truck, no other comes close.
