Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Fiat 500e vehicles manufactured March 22, 2012, to January 29, 2016. The power inverter module (PIM) may experience voltage spikes which can cause the propulsion system to shut down and loss of motive power.

My son needed an inexpensive truck, but I wanted one that I could confirm was in good mechanical condition. They had no problem with me taking it to my mechanic to have it checked out. They were reasonable and fair to negotiate with (even though we paid more that we hoped). The sales process was fast and easy as well. I have no idea why it takes other dealers hours to write up an offer.

Spouse and I found ourselves in a rush and needing a rental car. The only car immediately available was a Fiat 500 with automatic. We took it. On a 100 mile road trip to the event venue, the car proved to be more than adequate to the task. While acceleration was slow, once at speed the car maintained interstate speeds without trouble. We drove 80 and even 85mph, passing many more powerful cars. If you know how to drive a small engine, this thing will do the job. It was comfortable for two and luggage space was adequate for a long weekend trip.
