In the 1794 model, there is absolutely no storage space other than the console. The jack and tire tools are behind the back seat almost impossible to remove or replace. No place to put trailer hitch equipment or anything else. Tools etc,? The dashboard lighting logic is completely bassackwards. Plenty light at night. Easy to read gauges, speedometer etc. Daylight, the video display, "mpg, miles to empty, outside temp, odometer and even the guages are not lit up. They should be lit up brightly during the day and low light at night. If you need to wear sun glasses, You might not be able to read the speedometer. The dashboard lighting logic needs to be upgraded.

Absolutely love everything about my 1794 Tundra except the quality of the leather interior. The appearance is beautiful but upon close inspection you definitely can tell it is an inferior to product to any other leather interior I have owned. After six months the leather trim began to slowely wear off my passenger side seat. Perma-plate, the very expensive and unnecessary add on protection plan, will not cover this under their warranty. Toyota will not back the inferior craftsmanship either. I will have to replace the seat at my own cost after less than 2 years ownership. Its a shame that this awesome $50k truck is equipped with such a substandard leather package. P.A.

Fixed in 2016 models??

I agree with most of the other reviews - this is an awesome truck! The exhaust...remember the lion roaring at the beginning of movies? Yeah, that is this truck every time you start it. It has a nice rumble all around. I tow a 16 foot enclosed trailer with the ATVs and dirt bikes. It sounds cliche but you would never know it was back there. I came out of a 2007 Suburban that had a hard time pulling a little red wagon so this thing is fantastic. The seats...wish they were leather. The gas tank absolutely sucks on this model year. In a vehicle that only gets 13 mpg you would expect a little bigger tank than a puny 20 gallons. One thing I have not read in any reviews concerns the headlights. They blow. The brights are fine but the normal lights are flat out terrible. Thought maybe it was an alignment thing...but it isn't. Parking this thing takes a little while to get used to as well. I love the back up camera and usually back into the spots. I've had an Excursion, F150, and Suburban and they were all easier to park than this beast. I freaking love it. So in sum - CONS: headlights, gas tank, and no leather seats PROS: I own one and you don't! :)

Granted, the fuel economy is not as good as the big 3 American truck companies, but to me it's a small sacrifice for the comfort, convenience, options, and long term dependability of having a Toyota. This is my 3rd Toyota and I love it as much or more than my previous cars.

Had Fords, Chevys, and GMCs. By far the best truck ever. Strong engine and Powertrain. Tow 7000lbs with ease at high speeds. Tranny is excellent. Love the sliding/reclining rear seats and rear power window. 54,000 reliable miles. Gas mileage is 13-14 in town. 16-17 highway. 9-12 towing. Worth every penny. Will NEVER go back to Fords and Chevys. 3/4 ton truck in 1/2 ton label. Now at 68000 miles .... Decided to drive this truck for 200,000 based on recent test drives of Fords, Dodge, and Chevy. No need to buy new Tundra, This one has all the features I want. I love this truck.

You wont't go wrong buying a tundra

The Tundra Crewmax is a great truck that has plenty of room in the cab with simple controls on the dash that isn't too busy. A person don't need all that junk on the dash like others. If you are looking for a great truck that is very dependable look no further than the Toyota Tundra It may not get the very best fuel mileage compared to other trucks because it isn't a tin can like the GM and Ford trucks. Toyota includes Toyota care for 24 months after purchase so no worries about oil changes and tire rotations. I would rather sacrifice a few mpg for a good truck than pay for a truck with good mileage that is junk.

ok but there are better choices

I think its the worst looking of all the full size trucks and the redesign is a even another step backwards, but I thought it would be better in quality & feel than the others brands because of the Toyota name plate. It has great power! Transmission seems to have the right shift points, The heat & air controls are cheap feeling. The steering requires constant corrections going down the highway and fuel mileage is terrible!

Great truck, only draw back no automatic light or power rear slider unless you purchase the limited edition with the 5.7 engine. Cruise control switch awkward to use. Except for that great truck. Plenty of power for the 4.6l compare to Ford 5.0l. Average mileage 18mpg.

Just OK

I chose the tundra over the GM products I would usually buy due to toyota's reputation for quality. When you get in it you realize this truck is a Toyota in name only. It uses the same interior materials as its American counterparts and many of the mechanical bits as well. The best part of this truck is the 5.7 liter v8. It has huge torque! I never feel it doesn't have enough power when towing a heavy trailer. The engine seems mechanically noisey and has a knocking sound that permeates the cab at idle. The transmission works well but is inconsistent in when and how it shifts. No auto transfer case available. All other full size pick ups have one available. Fuel economy is horrible, 12 mpg combined 17 low speed highway 15 high speed highway. The seats are very comfortable and large enough for bigger people. The hvac control panel has a cheap look and feel to it, air comes from the panel vents at all times and can not be shut off. Closing them does not stop it, normal operation it seems. Over all this truck seems very capable of doing what it was built for, but is decidedly American in its look and feel. Time will tell if it holds up to toyotas reputation. Resale value seems above average for its segment

I bought the exact Tundra I had because I loved it

If you are not a contractor who needs a long bed on a daily or weekly basis, this truck is a great all-around vehicle. I am in sales and need a comfortable back seat for clients. I also have 6 acres to take care of at home and going to Lowes/Home Depot with this truck is a breeze. The power rear window is great for hauling trim and longer materials when needed.

Great for me

First Toyota truck. Owned Chevy, Ford. Overall this is a great truck, I have only had about 2 months. It has about 4300 miles on it so far. It's a great ride, not too soft not to rough, handles really good for a truck. Quiet interior while windows are rolled up, not too loud while all four are down. The only problem is passenger seat-belt buckle slams on window support with all four windows rolled down if there is no passenger. Lots of storage. This truck is easy to keep clean :-), not an excess of dips, curves and crevices. I went camping at beach my second week of owning this truck and fell asleep in front seat, didn't wake up hurting, just wish it had a 12v power port in bed and the fact that it has to be switched on for interior power ports to work is a bad idea. Had plenty of room for camping and fishing equipment. Engine is a monster, this truck is quick! Hit the gas and get down. Things I don't like: plastic intake plenum and oil filter cover, really, this is a truck dudes! No auto up on driver side window or neither on passenger on Limited pkg. But I wouldn't trade my truck for anything else, great truck!

Tundra SR5 TSS, at 1600 miles I like it, a lot. Nice ride, lots of room, and happy with 16.9 mpg. Update: a year later, tired of doing surveys, I want to drive my truck.

I traded my 2010 Chevy Silverado for the 2015 Toyota Tundra after a test Drive. Superb ride over the Silverado. The only complaint is the MPG I get 14in the city and 17 on the HWY. Lots of power and comfortable ride. I just hit my 16,000 miles and I enjoyed everyone of those miles.

I recently upgraded my 2008 Tundra Crewmax Limited to a 2015 Tundra Crewmax 1794 Edition and couldn't be happier. The 2008 was a great truck with zero problems over my 7 years of ownership but I liked the new style a little better. After shopping all brands, I narrowed it down to the Silverado with a 6.2 liter and the Tundra. Back to back test drives and haggling for price cemented my decision and I haven't looked back. The reliability and resale on the Tundra is amazing. I pull a 27' camper and have been familiar with the same powertrain I had in the 2008 and like it. Yes the mileage is less in the Tundra but I bought it pull my camper. Gimmicks like cylinder deactivation do not work while towing anyway so don't let the mileage fool you if you plan on towing. The electronics and apps were a big improvement over my 2008. With Entune, I have weather, weather map, traffic info, iHeart radio, etc. and do not have to pay a cent or subscribe to "OnStar", another great feature. The navigation is fast, Bluetooth connects instantly and voice recognition work great. The "Bose" radio in the Silverado sounds like and old AM radio compared to the JBL 12 speaker stereo with sub and amp in the Tundra...another great plus. I am looking forward to another 7 years or more with this truck.

I just traded a 2011 Ford F150 for the 2015 Toyota Tundra Limited. I have had the vehicle 1 week and am very pleased. There are a few quirks with the Toyo-like no preset seats on the limited model and no power adjustment for the passenger seat. The ride on the Tundra is stiffer than the 150 and a little more road noise. The best thing about the truck is the quality. It will last for years to come. If you intend on keeping a vehicle for more than a few years, then this is the truck to own. My customer experience at Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville was excellent. I highly recommend the Tundra.

This is the third Tundra that I've owned and I couldn't be happier with the new look and design. The Tundra is hands down the best overall 1/2 ton on the road!

I purchased this truck in early November and traded in my '13 Camaro 1LE, although these 2 vehicles serve totally different purposes, the truck has not disappointed. First thing I noticed was how large it was, it is a massive truck, next is how much taller you ride above other trucks. After 2 weeks I took it on a 2000 mile road trip (round trip), which was a joy. The power is great, the TRD exhaust sounds very good and the build quality and shifts of the transmission all provide a very comfortable ride. It's a smart truck and will downshift for you while going down a mountain or hill. Can't complain at all about this truck.

Best USA made truck IMO!

I just leased the new 2015 Limited/TRD after my 2012 SR5/TRD Tundra. I know it is mechanically the same truck but they did improve the speed-assist steering which is crisp and responsive! My new Tundra in also the TRD package so the ride is about the same. Being a pick-up, they always ride a little better with a full tank/weight in the bed but the shocks and springs keep it riding perfectly with a light load. The new interior on the Limited is impressive! I love that the leather and wood accents. I feel like I'm sitting in a Lexus and not a work truck. The new Entune display is awesome too. By far the best All-Around truck made! I understand why Tundra still has the highest resell value!

Bought new Dec. 2014 during Toyotathon days. The 5.7 engine roars with plenty of passing speed with a smooth shifting 6spd transmission. I live in South Central Pa and this Winter has been rough, but not a problem for the Tundra Crew Max! This truck drives like a truck not a car like some of the newer big 3 trucks I've driven. It sits nice with a firm quiet ride without the big truck feel.Gas mileage averaging 15.5 mpg.

I purchased a 2015 SR5 4x4 double cab less than 3 weeks ago. I have approximately 1,200 miles on the vehicle. I even had the optional body guard installed for $785. Due to cold weather I have been unable to wash the vehicle until today. When I was finished washing the vehicle I noticed the paint already started to bubble around the bottom six inches of all four doors, both rear quarter panels, both front quarter panels and inside the bottom edge of the front door panels. No matter what the cause, this is ridiculous for a vehicle with 1,200 miles to have paint issues.

I traded in my 2004 Tundra Access Cab with 267,163 miles on the engine and frame for a brand new 2015 Tundra Double Cab. I was very reluctant to part way with my old Tundra but she was starting to feel the strain of everyday work. The improvements on the 2015 are too many to mention but the highlights I found are the comfort level of the seats, the power of the 5.7 liter engine, averaging 15.7 MPG (the same as my old 2004 4.7 liter) with just over 1200 miles, entertainment system, and off road package. My goal is to double the mileage of my new Tundra. Wish me luck!
