I have owned all generations Honda Fit and the 2015 is by far the best one. I had the 07 and it was a really good car. The interior space was amazing. Then I had a 2011 Honda Fit sport. It was more comfortable than the 07. The design was way better too. Then I saw the 2015 and I just had to at least test drive it. After driving it, I got it. My favorite features, sunroof, push button start/off, 6speed and of course the magic seats. It really performs well for a little 1.5 engine. This car has so much to offer. This car has went excellent in the snow. I'm 6'3" and I drive this car daily. I can even sit in the back seat no problem. I have bought a 55"tv and had it in this car with a child in a car seat. It FIT. I highly recommend at least giving this car a test drive. You won't be disappointed. Great gas mileage and a very dependable car.

First the negatives. For long rides the seat is hard. I bought a car cushion from Costco for the bottom of the seat and now long drives are easy. Others on the Fit forum are having too many issues and many like me are not. Seems like Mexico needs to step up their QA and Honda should have not let it slip. The room in it is fantastic, handling makes taking turns fun, it shifts like a dream, the rear camera is a MUST for me, the side camera is so much better than the right side mirror only option because it is safer and gives such a bigger amount of view, gets great mileage even when driven somewhat hard, and I can't see myself ever getting another type of car since having all the advantages of the Fit.

Test drive this car as long as possible if you want to buy it. If you experience any discomfort or pain, do not buy this car because it only gets worse. I didn't experience the driver seat as uncomfortable but after my first 2-hour-drive, I felt tingling and burning in my right foot. A year later, I am seriously considering selling the car because my leg, foot, and hip hurt when driving it. The rep at Honda gave me his condolences, but I am stuck with a car that I basically like but can’t drive without being in pain. (Before getting the Fit, I drove a Honda’83 for 15 years and never had a problem.) The driver seat might work for some, but make sure you are one of them.

I went from driving a 2003 ponitac vibe with 300,000+ miles on it and I would still be driving it if someone was paying attention and didn't slam into the backend. I absolutely LOVED my vibe and searched everywhere for another one, but ultimately decided to go for something newer that would last. Going from the Vibe to the Fit was a very easy transition it has a lot of the same features plus some added bonuses! The right blind spot camera on the right mirror is so helpful when switiching lanes and when I'm not sure if a car is close to me or not. The seats folding up are nice for taller objects ( something my vibe didn't do ) but I wish that they would fold Completely flat with a hard back just like my vibe. I will have to put down something over top of the seats when they are almost flat when I want to haul something.

My Fit has been great, but any trip over an hour and your back and neck are killing you!! I travel a bit and am now in Physical Therapy (probably not only due to the car, but the concave shape of the seats does NOT help). When I asked the dealership what I could do they said they could not help. Also, my boyfriend is 6'1 and can does NOT fit in the FIT without scrunching his legs! I asked if the tracks could be extended and was told no. Get it together Honda, help us!?!?!

Just purchased my Honda 2015 fit EX-L on January 28th, 2016 and already have traded it in, the car two times would not start when hit the ignition button, first time the battery was dead and nothing was left on, the second time would not start again, then 15 minutes later the cars lights were on and the radio was on? Then when hit the ignition button, then the car started! Took it to Honda and since they could not replicate the car not starting, they said everything was ok and until it didn't start again and they couldn't replicate what was going on, all they could do/ offer me was to tell me to use the roadside assistance when it won't start! Not acceptable!!!!! this is a 2015 with 15,000 miles, the dealer was no help, then I called Honda America and got the same response, just call roadside assistance when it won't start! Not acceptable!!!! no one buys a 2015 car, especially a Honda , I bought a Honda due to it's reliability, resale value and dependability, after research on the internet this car has a 12 volt battery and is not enough power to keep all the electronics/technology supplied in the car, do your research before spending your money on this car!!!! There are stories of people leaving music on for 1/2 hour after shutting off the car, or needing to keep hazard lights on and this alone drained the battery to have the battery go dead. No one buys a car that may/may not start and leave you stranded, especially a Honda.

First let me say to not believe all the front seat discomfirt issues or leg room. I dont how these people sit but i have no problems. I am 6' 2" and 240 and i have no issues. I tested out many subcompact cars and the fit has the most leg room. Set the seat all the way back, slightly recline seat, and sit straight up. I drive 40 each way to and from work and no issues. Its easy to get in and out of. Better than my wifes 00 corolla. I took a 4 hour trip with my dad who was 67 at the time and he had no issues. It is a stiff suspension though and i wish that could be better. Road noise is fine. I dont notice it with the radio on. And of course you would hear road noise at 75. You hear that in most any car. Pros Great gas mileage. I usually get 41-42 in summer and 37-38 in winter. I have had this since August 2014. I could get better and i could get close to 46 if you drive 65 on highway and really be concious about it. But every day driving those are my numbers Usuability and interior space is great. Ive loaded it up many times which 8 foot boards (front passenger seat down), camping gear, xmas presents, 2 dogs, it fits it all. Fits 4 grown guys in it no problem when i drive for lunch at work. I have as much space in it as i did my hyundai tucson i had before this. And drives fine in all weather. Snow, rain, good. Electronics are good. Have had no problems. Backup camera which is standard for all cars now is good. I purposely bought the lx for lack of electronics though. I didnt want a touchscreen or a push button start. Just more things to break and cost more to fix. I like my knobs. The phone link works good and really thats all i need. Cons Like i said before. Suspension is stiff and is a little bumpy but idont mind much. If all u are driving is country roads then you better test it out and see if its ok. Side mirrors in rain are annoying. The rain doesnt really slide off the mirrors. U can see but it is annoying. I need to put rain x on it and see if it helps. Recalls. Ive had like 5 recalls. It is to be expected for a first model year of this car. As it was redesigned and built at a new plant for 2015. They havent been bad, little things mostly but just an annoyance. Thats it. The fit has been a plus. Gas mileage is great, fits loads of stuff, and is a great commuter. I do wish build material could be better but it is a cheap car but it is the most bang for your buck.

I've owned my 2015 FIT for 4 months. It had a recall, and I also brought up a bluetooth issue sigh Spreen Honda. Here is where the fun begins. The bluetooth has software issues that Honda Corporate passes the buck as well as Spreen Honda. If you want a car where you can transport, its fine; but don't count on Honda to resolve its known issues. Service manager at Spreen (Jim) concurred with me that the HandsFreeLink has issues. Honda Corporate was pulled in as well, and its a merry-go-round of pointing fingers. When I asked why can't I get the software of the Courtsey car, I was given an excuse that made me laugh. Silence of ones knowledge about programming is worth its weight in gold. Amanda from Honda corporate technical support tried to help, but Grace who I initially had contact with transferred me to a department that can do nothing. That's what I call pass the buck. As of the date of this post, I remain in limbo. It's a pity that Honda points fingers, and sells inferior quality. Face it folks, audio is part of what you bought. How sorry I am that I every did business with Honda.

I test drove all the compacts on the market and this one was the best on my key factors. I wanted good pickup and fun to drive and 2 full size adults to fit in the back seat. The Honda Fit has all that plus more! I got the 6-speed manual transmission because it's so fun to drive!

I traded a 2014 CR-V for a 2015 Fit, sort of an impulse buy. The Fit had $1500 off the price, and the dealer gave me max blue book for my CR-V. I wanted a manual shift car again, so I bought the Fit. Have had it for 1 month, and driven 3000 miles. First off, there's just two of us in my house, my wife and I. Kids are moved out, so I don't need the monster cars/trucks I used to drive. The Fit has plenty of room for me to commute to work, and doesn't feel cramped. I am only 5'8", so I have plenty of room. A friend of mine who is much taller complained a bit about leg room in the front passenger seat, and he did look a bit cramped. I drive 32 miles each way to work, 45-55mph with some stop and go. Been averaging 38mpg. My wife and I just got home from a 1200 mile round trip from Michigan to Iowa, and found the car comfortable for the trip (9 hours each way, only stopping for fuel). My wife slept most of the trip home through the night, so I call the comfort OK. We carried a lot of gifts, the dog's crate, a small wooden baby cradle, luggage, etc, with no problem. Lots of room!! My wife also says the car is easy to get in and out of. She complained about the seats in my CR-V, she says the Fit has much better seats, at least for her. Wind noise is at least as quiet as my CR-V was, and although I can hear the engine at 70-75mph (3500rpm) it is a pleasing sound to me, not a drone or annoying sound. (I honestly think its what lulled my wife to sleep during the trip) We also had a pretty nasty snow/ice storm while in Cedar Rapids, and we drove the Fit through some pretty ugly conditions. It handled better than I thought it would in the snow. I've had all wheel drive for years and was a bit worried, but the Fit did OK. A couple of things I don't like. As almost everyone else says, the radio needs a knob for volume. Nothing like getting in the car at 5 in the morning and the radio comes on at ear bleed volume where I left it when I got home the night before. Try turning it down quickly before waking the neighbors....good luck. Also, sometimes my iPhone and the Pandora / iPod function don't act nice when restarting the car after a stop. Most times Pandora (or Tunein, or anything else that was playing when I stopped the car) restarts playing with no problems, but occasionally I have to unplug the phone and plug it back in before it'll play again. The car also seems to fog up easier than the CR-V did and I need to use defrost setting more than I am used to. Bluetooth phone functions flawlessly. Finally, the car is really fun to drive. The six speed shifter is short throw and precise, and the engine revs freely and pulls nicely. Its not a racer by any means, but it isn't slow. Highway on ramps are fun again. I really enjoy driving it. I enjoyed my CR-V as well, the Fit is just a bit more fun. Update 4/12/16 - 4.5 months in and 10,000 miles now, no issues, still loving the car. Have also had great service experiences at Page Honda in Bloomfield Hills, MI where I bought the car. (Oil changes and 10000 mile service) Update 10/15/16 - almost a year in, about 24,000 miles now, no issues, still loving the car. Still runs like the day I bought it. I have driven it from Michigan to North Carolina twice in the last couple of months, I find it comfortable, extremely practical and most importantly, fun.

The fuel system low fuel light comes on when fuel quantity is 25% remaining. When the light illuminates I can only fill approx 8.2 gal. I then decided to carry a couple gallons with me and run the system to empty. When the lite came on I reset the tripometer. When it registered 33 miles the gas gauge indicator had no bars and the "miles to empty" read zero. I continued until tripometer displayed 105 miles. At that time I filled up with 10.55 gal. This confirms the 10.6 gal fuel tank and also the suspected 25% fuel remaining when the "low fuel" indicator illuminates, and also shows the fuel gauge is not accurate for "empty" and the"miles to empty" is also not accurate. I'm averaging over 43 mpg with 6 speed manual. Jun 2016, put on 20000 miles since Oct 2015 when purchased new. Developed slight pull to left so took to dealer for alignment. Corrected minor caster and toe discrepancy. Still don't like fuel system indicator and remaining fuel readings. I reset the tripometer when low fuel indicator illuminates since I know I have 100+ miles remaining even though display shows 32 to empty. Installed a trailer hitch and towed 6x12 landscape trailer loaded with small trees 700 miles, 22 mpg. Normal road mpg 43 at 68 miles per hour, 35 mpg at 80 miles per hour.

I'm going to try and keep this review short by trying to skip over all the technical specs you've already read and just get straight to the good and the bad, but first I think it is important that I give you som e background. I'm in my early 20's just graduated college and my previous car was an ultra-plush 1997 Pontiac Bonneville. (Think of it as your favorite recliner on wheels.) The Bonneville was great, but it was quickly turning into a money pit and it was time for a new car. I've owned the car for about six months now, and I'm still in love with it, but it does have a few downsides. First of all, the car is rated 38/40 mpg (city, hwy), however I drive mostly highway miles and in order for me to actually get my average mpg per tank below 40, I've got to drive around in sport mode approximately 15% of the time and drive pretty aggressively. On average, I get between 42 and 45 mpg. I've gotten 47 - 50 before on long road trips, or by driving extremely conservatively. Needless to say, the mpg's are great. The car has a pretty stiff suspension, and the base model lacks a lot of the sound-dampening materials of the higher end models, so there is a good bit of road noise. The stiff suspension also gives you a powerful incentive to avoid any and all bumps in the road as they do not absorb much of the impact and I'm always afraid of hurting my precious automobile. I did have to drive down one particularly terrible country road that was absolutely full of potholes, and now there are a few light rattles in the seat belt columns, which is pretty vexing since it is a brand new car. The car is extremely easy to drive. The steering wheel turns with very little effort, acceleration and braking is smooth. Acceleration is kind of sluggish, especially if you are coming from a full size sedan like me, but I don't really mind it as it's still a fun drive. Sports mode basically just makes the engine rev higher and provides a noticeable increase in responsiveness. Economy mode is a more dramatic change, with extremely sluggish acceleration and reduced A/C performance. Personally, I only use it when travelling on the highway. The car will get extremely hot out in the sun, which is to be expected with the all black interior, but the A/C can take care of it in a matter of seconds, so it's not really an issue. The seats are comfortable, but don't really cradle your body, so you have a tendency to slide a little in the turns. Additionally, the center console "armrest" is completely unusable because it is practically on the floor. The radio sounds like every other normal car stereo, except for the Bluetooth. I'm not sure if it is just my phone or what, but the sound quality there is pretty bad. It's like using a payphone. The last, and maybe most important, thing to note, is that my particular car seems to have a few quality control issues. A few of the dashboard panels don't line up quite right. The window trim on one door seems to stick out further than all the others, and the front bumper seems to have too large a gap in the panels on one side. When it gets hot, the rear window squirter leaks and leaves a nearly impossible to remove streak from the soap on the window. These are all things that I'll have to ask the dealer about when I go for an oil change. Final verdict: despite its few flaws, I absolutely love it and feel that I made the right choice.

A year and 30,000 mile with my Fit

I purchased my 2015 Fit LX in mid August 2014. Going from a Toyota Corolla to a Fit was a pleasure. Nothing wrong with the Toyota, but it is more an appliance than a car. Great transportation and comfort-but very boring to drive. The Fit is just the opposite. While the car has a CVT transmission, it is still quick, responsive and fund to drive. The Fit holds the road better than you would think for an economy car, but with a composed and compliant ride for it's size. Everyone who has seen the Fit is impressed with how large it is inside compared to it's exterior dimensions. Other that a dear hitting the car along the passenger side of the car at 60 MPH, the car has had no issues. I have also done my oil changes, which is fairly easy, even though you need to remove the engine splash pan to get to the drain and filter. I travel 110 mile each day to work and back home. My average MPG has ranged from 42 to 45.5 in all kinds of weather, with the A/C both on and off. My friends with hybrids can't believe the mileage I get, and the cost of the car was nowhere near what they paid. As for front seat comfort, I have no complaints. I spend almost three hours each day in the Fit, and at no time find myself uncomfortable. Overall, I am extremely happy with my decision to go with a Fit, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good blend of economy, performance and utility in a small package.

It's My Second FIT!: Fast and Fun. Yellow!

My FIT has 7000+ miles on the highway and city since I got it in March 2015, so I am ready to write a competent review. I traded in my 2009 FIT with 70,000 miles for this Brand New 2015 FIT. Overall it's been a lot of fun, and everyone in my area loves the Yellow! The compliments come in daily. People roll their window down to compliment the car. The FIT is completely redesigned for 2015—very little is the same from the Old FIT. Safety: It is a topsafety pick in its class from the Insurance Institute and passed the Offset crash test too. The old FIT failed miserably and was a dangerous car to be in an accident. Engine: It has Honda’s Famous “EarthDreams” Engine. You have more than enough power in this car--it accelerates faster than any car in its class. In fact, it is overpowered for the suspension and handling, and I recommend this car for experienced drivers only. Not a car to give to new driver just like you would not get them a Corvette. If you step on the accelerator too fast, you will spin the front tires. My experience in rain is that the front's spin very easily so be careful--may be the brand of tires, --Firestone--not sure. Much much faster than the Old FIT. Steering/Handling: Here is one area I prefer the Old FIT. The Old FIT handled better--pinpoint accuracy--so much fun. The new FIT is not precise, ambiguous on the highway, but it’s OK. Braking: Brakes on the New FIT are not enough for the power of this vehicle--I leave a LOT of room between my car and the car in front. It's not bad--just again--for the experienced driver who knows how to control a lightweight car with a powerful engine. Ride Comfort: The person that buys this car is someone who prefers a NASCAR sports car road feel to a cushy Lincoln ride. You will feel the road and all imperfections in this FIT. If the road is well paved and smooth, car will run smooth too. Some professional reviewers have written that the car is noisy inside. I have not found that--it's fine. Transmission: CVT has been fine--no problems. Interior: Mine has Leather and that was a must for me. The leather is very comfortable, cleans easily, and supportive bolstering for my back. I have all the technology that Honda offered in 2015 in my FIT, including the large touch screen with steering wheel controls, rear and side cameras. Many reviews have written that the touch screen interface is confusing. I don’t know what they are talking about!—it’s intuitive, and easy and fun to use—it’s one of the best in the car business now. I sat for a few hours two days with the well-written manuals you get in the car and learned a lot. Referred to them on occasion and learned more. Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, HD Radio is the best! Incredible sound! Navigation is very good, better than smart phone navigation, and has upgradeable maps. The voice recognition is poor and I never use it. Only thing that frustrates me is that certain functions are disabled while the car is moving. But I am having a ball with all the dash toys and it’s what sold me on the car. If you never had Satellite Radio—it’s cable TV for the car and additive—mine is always on CNN, MSNBC or FOX TV or Bruce Springsteen station (audio only). It’s the best! Seats 4 comfortably, although I use mine like a pick-up truck with rear folded down 99% of the time. Reliability: So far through 7000 miles, no problems or recalls. (My Old FIT had 2 Recalls, and 2 Warranty Repairs over 70,000 miles.) Real world mileage: My best Tank of Highway/City mileage has been 38 MPG, Worst tank which was probably more city than highway: 31 MPG. One day I was on the highway only for the first 2 hours after a fill, and it was 45 MPG. Not bad! Side Camera: Only Honda has this—it’s a lot of fun. Get it! Hitches: U-haul and other places will install a hitch specifically made for this car to carry bikes or tow less than 2000 lbs. It is 225.00 installed at U-haul, I just inquired. I really would not tow anything too heavy or fast with this car, maybe local only—use the hitch for bikes. Purchase: I shopped many dealers and compared deals from Costco, Truecar, Carsdirect, AAA, and what I was able to negotiate on my own. The Best deal by far was the Edmunds Price Promise. I don’t work for or with Edmunds—just telling you my experience. Summary: It’s a fun drive to drive, reliable thus far, with very good cargo room (its biggest selling point for most people), and very good fuel mileage. It’s not the best handling car, it’s fast, but needs more braking power, and better cornering. The Technology package is excellent and a lot of fun. I think it’s a great value overall—there is no need to spend more money for a car. You don’t need an SUV. This FIT allows me to have all the features of a Mercedes, BMW or Lexus at 1/3 the cost—I almost feel like I am driving for free. I sleep well at night. Hey, it’s my second FIT and I could have purchased any other car!

i purchased my fit in October 2014, no problems fantastic mileage. If the front seat bottoms tilted I would have given it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟. I travel a lot and get 49-50 mpg on highway for a combined mpg as of 8/29/15 of 38.9 mpg.

this is a great car if you're a young teenager and this is your first car. however - cons: 1. slow engine, loud engine; really sounds like it's trying to hard at higher speeds (60+) 2. front seat REALLY is uncomfortable for an hour drive 3. the side view camera is not needed in a small car and the video quality for the side view is blurry and not a clear picture. 4. the push start is not needed (for a manual) as you have to press the clutch at the same time 5. the volume control for the touchscreen is not efficient nor is there a mute button 6. resale value IS NOT good. i tried to get a comparable trade one week after i bought this car and was offered $5K LESS! 7. the fuel tank is small and i have to refill twice in a week for going over 315 miles 8. the wipers only have hi, lo, and one setting for intermittent wiping?! pros: 1. best looking wedge shaped car in the industry 2. it's a honda (but really shouldn't be carrying the honda name); we'll see how long this lasts 3. i like the tire rims and that the rear seats fold up creating a unique way to store things

I'm basing this review for what I paid for the car. For that, after having the car for over a year, I'm still thrilled driving it. It handles very nicely and I'm amazed how fast I can take some turns and the car just sticks and feels so in control. Great road feedback. The manual is so smooth and easy to shift. Acceleration is good enough for me; not crazy fast at all but certainly easy enough to "gun it". What I love is the fun factor of driving it, the fantastic gas mileage, the room for things, the ease of parking and handling, the looks, the feel, the back up camera, the side camera, no bad blind spots, easy shifting, sun roof, pretty good sound system, keyless entry, low maintenance, rear wiper, hatch, lot of cup holders, and it's a Honda. The front seats are too hard for long rides. I learned to put sit on a car cushion for that. But for average driving, the seats feel fine for me. Update: The Fit is 2 years old now. Had it into the dealership 3 times for recalls. Yeah, it's irritating but it wasn't so bad. Other than that, the car has been running like a champ. I don't know how I could switch to another car now since I got used to how I can arrange the seats in the Fit. I really can't! Great mileage and a very fun manual 6 speed to drive. And the backup camera!! How fricken nice! Love the side view camera, too. Again, I could never get a car without them since I am used to them. Makes things MUCH safer. My wife liked the Fit so much that she wanted the larger HR-V and she got it and loves it.

Yes the electronics console is fussy and not intuitive. It's way too easy to drive off the road while trying to find things on a tetchy touch screen. It's a lightweight on snow and ice. You'll need to buy studded tires for it. It was stuck at the end of a plowed driveway this winter (upstate ny), on a slight grade which had just been done in my 04 Toyota Corolla. It does get ok gasmileage, tho my Corolla still does better on highways (verified by tracking gas and mileage between fill ups, not going by the manufacturer). I think my biggest beef with this car is the ice build up behind the front wheels. It is soooo low to the ground that slush and ice accumulates over the joint of the front doors. When you open the doors, you have to first knock the chunk of snow off the wheel well, then crack chunk of ice over the joint as you open the door. I have had this 2015 fit since July 2014 and the drivers side door joint is already scratched from the ice. I see rust in its future. As for service, don't ever expect to spend less than two hours at the dealerships even just for an oil change. If there is a service recall, they will not release your car AND they will not tell you they are fixing it till the end. I will not buy another honda mostly because of what I've detailed here. Also, good luck with car seats if you have more than one kid. It works but is TIGHT!

OK, that was my hook but we really did get that result one Sunday going down hill. However, our overall gas mileage on this car in my opinion is amazing at 37.5 mpg average city highway driving. My Husband and I commute to work everyday about 50 miles one way, so we needed something that was going to give us good gas mileage and at a good price. We purchased this car in May and it has been a love affair from day one! On our way into work in the mornings our average mpg is about 45, in the afternoon not quite as good, more traffic and the air is blasting with temperatures here soaring at 110, our mpg on our afternoon trips has been around 36. I have heard that the numbers that they display on the car when your at the dealership are obtained by driving 55 mph in the controlled test environment, ours however, are from driving 75mph, maybe a little more on our way in, but these are real numbers by real people driving. May I say we couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase this car!

This is a great car and I love it! The room in the back with the seats folded down is amazing, and with the seats up, the rear seat passenger room is great. The gas mileage is also terrific. I always get 41 to 45. Have never got below 41! My only complaints are the floor covering is very cheap crap and 6th gear should be higher. The engine is doing too many RPM's at highway speed. Highly recommend it!

My wife and I purchased the new Fit in February, 2015. Living in the northeast, the winter was harsh, but the Fit did great. It makes for a great commuting car, it's comfortable (for a reasonable amount of time, see below) and gets great fuel economy. On the highway, it's easy to get in excess of 41 mpg. Driving carefully, I've been able to get upwards of 45+mpg. I don't think I've ever paid more than $33.00 to fill it up, averaging well over 300 miles to a tank of fuel. Another plus that I really enjoy about this car is the way it handles. I also own a BMW 3 Series, which is one of the best handling cars available, (for under 60k) and this little Fit attacks the curves pretty good in comparison. I was quite surprised at first, I expected a lot of body roll, seeing the car is so tall, one would think it rode top heavy...not so the case. The ride is smooth and I have no complaints with road or wind noise. There's only a few gripes I have with the car. One seems to be a common trend in the reviews I've read, and that is the comfort of the seats. They are okay for the commute to work, (35/40 min) but anything over two hours or so, and I start to get rather uncomfortable. Also, the touch screen radio; very cool, but not good if you have OCD about fingerprints on your electronics. It's also a little fussy to use and get used to but that's why there are buttons on the steering wheel. All in all, I love this car. I didn't think I did, and we only got it because my wife wanted it and we needed s second car. Now I'm the only one that drives it, and we are extremely pleased with it thus far.

I've been driving honda cars since 1977 -- and the Fit is truly disappointing. The locks on the car doors and the hatchback are now jamming, so we can't open them; the rear shocks are failing; and there is a terrible odor coming from the heater that the dealer won't fix. STAY AWAY FROM THE HONDA FIT.

After having owned this car for a week, I would have to say that the overall performance of the car is average (it's not meant to be a speedster). The interior is spacious and the cargo capacity and nifty seat configurations are practical. Some may not like the touch infotainment system. The worst part of it is the volume control (controlled from the steering wheel or the touch screen). It can be a little loud during acceleration but at cruising speeds is relatively quiet and pleasant. Overall ride is comfortable in my opinion. Seats are comfortable and don't bother me. Have yet to take it on a drive over an hour+. Can't wait for a road trip. This is my 3rd Honda & have to say the best yet.

Bought 2 months ago and wanted to drive a while before I reviewed. Almost bailed at the last minute due to questions about the drivers seat comfort. I now have ~2,000 miles on it, including 4 trips over two hours. I have had no issues w/ the seats, I love the car otherwise. This is our 5th Honda (4th in a row) so I like the brand - reliable, dependable, safe, economical. I really wanted a hatch-back so compared w/ Mazda 3 Hatchback and Subaru Impreza. I liked both but went for lower cost, better mileage, and the familiarity of a Honda. This is a pleasant car to drive, esp. if you are not performance (i.e. speed, acceleration) focused. I am very happy w/ this purchase.

I like this car because it is economical but if you dig a bit you will find that many people cannot drive this car for many miles or more than an hour or so without back pain. Something about the design of the seats is absolutely terrible. I enjoy the entertainment sytem, fuel economy, fit and finish but it is totally uncomfortable to drive. You will find this out but not until you have had it for a bit and I am not alone in this. Do a little internet search on uncomfortable seats in Honda Fit.

Traded a 2009 Fit Sport for a 2015 Fit Ex. Both are manual transmission & greatly enjoying the upgrades Honda in to the new generation. I live in suburbia USA & commute to a major city for work approximately 22 miles each way. Have enjoyed the peppiness of the new Fit, as well as the ability to transport 2 bikes, plus gear in the back for weekend bike rides. I am missing that extra 1.6" Honda took when reducing overall length. I am a driver at heart, & having tons of fun.

Great gas milage (40 city/hwy combined) Due to the slanted angle and the large size of the front windows, the car heats up tremendously even when driving on mild days. I have to use the air conditioner much more than I would like. The normal sun shades used when parked for a period of time do not fit this car. I had to buy a special sun shade that is the most inconvenient product to use, and I have to use it even for short parks due to the big windows. Because the seats are so low, and I am a short person, the sun visors did nothing to block the sun. I had to buy a visor extender. Only 1 roof rack available for car-almost $500. Small hybrid bike barely fits in with tire removed.

We purchased the Fit for a daily driver to save on fuel. Just have over 1000 miles and so far everything is good. We've owned several Hondas and the Fit seems to have the quality of all the others we've owned. 36-38 mpg in mixed driving. Pearl white paint is beautiful. The display does give a read out occasionally telling us that the mode is not available when vehicle is in motion...we'll have to ask the dealer about that one when we take it in for an oil change. Satisfied so far.

Switched to Fit after driving Accords for 25 years. Accords have become too big. I've very pleased with the Fit. I have the EX 6 speed manual. EX is the best value and the 6 speed manual is very smooth shifting. Test drove the CVT and shifting it with the paddle shifters was OK, but routine driving kind of hohum.

After seeing all the glowing specs on this car, I did TWO twenty min test drives. It seemed comfortable enough for a subcompact and fun to drive.. Only 100 miles on it and it is wicked on my old back. This feature seems to be buried in the reviews like edmonds and Kelly Blue book. I have a 5 hour drive up coming, and I am really really fearful. Now what? Can my budget really take trading in a car that's only 2 weeks old. No more Honda's for me I think. Review update a year later. The back breaking driver seat issue was resolved. An upholstery shop for a very small amount was able to insert firm foam in the lumbar area. Now, there is nothing that I don't like about this car. It is very fuel efficient, the seat configurations are like a Swiss army knife, and it is peppy. I got the yellow color, and I'm tentative of how the paint job will hold up over time. Of course it is still a small inexpensive car.

New owner with Two weeks and 700 miles now. Purchased the EX with CVT Transmission. So far gas mileage is 38-41 mpg. The engine is pretty spunky however when climbing hills the CVT tends to make the engine work to find the perfect spot...so it get's a little 'busy'. I've had newer Civics, CRV's and find them a little quieter and refined but also realizing the price point on the Fit it seems a fair trade off. Purchased on the last day of the month so after calling around I feel I got a fair price and didn't have to travel far. So far, so good.

The Fit has been what we expected. We have had absolutely no reliability issues so far. Our blue EX-L was built in July, 2014 and we purchased it in August, 2014. It now has over 13,000 miles on it, and all we've done is change the oil.

HVAC issues since I bought it in mid-June 2014. Dealer couldn't fix it after 3 attempts and continued musty, moldy emissions cause severe health symptoms, so I have filed a Lemon Law claim through Honda's arbitrator. Front seats are the worst I've had in a vehicle. Sit in them for at least 40-45 minutes to confirm they work for you. My test drives were too short to make this apparent. The pain kind of sneaks up on you. The positives (which are many) don't outweigh the horrible mold allergy symptoms I've had. American Honda has been unresponsive and the dealer has been barely supportive.

Bought a brand new Fit because it made an excellent showroom impression; the magic seats, cargo flexibility, and lots of standard features on the base model. But owning this car is a nightmare Reliability woes have haunted this car from the beginning; mostly odd trim and electrical issues, including exterior trim breaking and taillights filling with water It's not the most refined subcompact; other offerings have more power, better sorted manual transmissions, and are quieter. For city life, it is perfect. It's easy to park, economical, and can haul loads of gear. Honda just started building the Fit at an all-new plant in Mexico and some of the quality issues are showing.

Not since the 2005 Scion tC do I think I found one of the best values in the market today. My wife and I fight over who drives it and we attempt to get the most of every drop of gas (we leave it on Econ and are averaging 40 mpg). Tall men are fine in the back seats, and so are two cat crates and a tall item and luggage; we even fit a queen headboard in there! And the rear camera is amazing. All these great features including great space and fuel-efficiency for under $20K after fees? After two years, we are still quite happy with this cool little car.

I have owned my new Fit for about 6 months. Overall I love the car. It's fun to drive, gets great gas mileage, is easy to park in tight places, and looks great. However, I've been having a major problem with paint chipping. I consider my daily driving to be less than average in pretty average conditions, and yet my car has sustained considerable paint damage. My 10+ yr. old Toyota never had this problem, and I think it reflects poor paint quality on the part of Honda. Dealership and Honda Customer Service don't consider this a "warrantable" problem, so I guess this is supposed to be acceptable for a brand new car.

I just traded in my 2013 Honda Fit Sport, IM SO GLAD I DID!!! Anyone with an older Fit that's been thinking about trading it in for the new one... DO SO! I went ahead and bought the fully loaded trim level to which I'm very happy about. It certainly does not feel like a cheap subcompact car at all, I own several Lexus' and a 2013 Accord Sport and this Fit is my favorite car to drive now. I would suggest everyone who's negotiationing for a price to use the "Edmunds Price Promise" I was able to use this at the dealership and in fact got way below invoice price since I used College and Military discount. So before taxes I bought it for $19.4k at Galpin Honda in Los Angeles, CA.

I have had my Fit for a week now and I absolutely love it. I was in the market for a small SUV for future business plans but if I am the only one in the car, there is a ton of room in the back with the seats folded down. The Fit has all of the latest technology (Bluetooth, rearview camera, pandora, etc). So far, my gas mileage has been averaging around 33 miles city. There are only two things I can point out that I don't like about my car. One is the engine noise. Around town, it's louder than your average car but on the highway, it's not much different than any other car. Also, I am not liking the cupholders way down low in the front. A passenger can not put a large drink there.

I just bought a 2015 LX. I like the car but the front seats, the driver seat for me, are really poorly designed in a concave shape. The seat seemed OK at first, but after about 30 miles or so, I was in terrific back pain, like my back had been wrenched. This is beyond discomfort, graduating to health hazard. I am trying lumbar supports with limited success. I traded in a 1999 Tacoma with bench seats, which gave me no problem. I have also driven a number of other cars recently including a 2005 Prius, a 2013 Kia Rio, and a Chevy Aveo, all with no problem. Unless i can figure something to improve the seat I will not be keeping this car.

Having come from a manual 305hp Mustang, I was a little concerned about power but this car works well as a total vehicle for which it's intended. The car feels powerful enough to accelerate and pass. It feels well integrated as the ride, noise and comfort levels are all more than adequate for me. Technology has delivered a car that is safe, rides well get amazing milage(I get 44-46mpg), and has lots of storage room. Hybrid cars look out, this car gets great mileage, costs less and holds more.

I just bought the Fit last week and haven't even used an entire tank of gas, but thought I'd share my experience so far. I have been driving standard shift cars for years and the last one was the Mazda 2. I'd had enough shifting for one lifetime and despite the bad things I continually read about the CVT, I decided to give it a try. I'm a driver who cares about maximizing mileage rather than performance and I like the CVT. It's very smooth and the paddle shifters still allow me to do engine braking. The Fit has decent power and is able to pull smartly away from stops and up hills - something the little Mazda wasn't always able to do. It corners pretty flat and the ride is comfortable

After 5,000 miles and three months, i get 41.5mpg using tripmeter/fill up method whereas the car reports 44.4mpg. However, a few problems have cropped up. First, it came with fleas, which I got rid of with a flea bomb and vacuuming daily for a week. Three weeks in, the HVAC started emitting smells for the first few minutes of running. It started as a mulch smell. It now smells like mildew, wet dirty gym socks or rotting meat. I took care of it once with A/C disinfectant and taken it to the dealer twice since it started. We have had our Fit for about a month now, and have put almost 3000 miles on it. Have averaged 38 MPG in a 50-50 mix of city and highway miles. Our CVT Fit gets about 45 MPG at a steady 60 mph, 43 at a steady 65 mph and just over 40 MPG at a steady 70 mph Have hauled lots of things in it, has carried my wife and I in the front with three of our adult children in the back, and have just returned from a 700 miles trip this weekend from Cleveland to Chicago and back. We find that in spite of the black interior, the seats don't get too hot to sit, although we wish there was a bit more padding after three hours of straight driving and sitting. Back and right side cameras work great.

We owned a 2007 Fit Sport 5 spd and upgraded to the 2015 EX. Great car! Great value. Car feels more solid and substantial. Much nicer interior. Still fun to drive, awesome fuel economy, roomy for such a small car, plus so many new extras. Wife loves the moonroof. We are averaging 39 mpg and hit 47 mpg highway! That's hybrid territory. 7" LCD screen, multiview back up camera, side view Lane Watch camera and other goodies put our 2011 Highlander Limited to shame.

I got the 2015 Fit LX for its efficiency and cargo handling versatility. So far, I've been very happy with its performance in both aspects. There is a lot of headroom in the front. I am 6' standing but sit as tall as the average 6'3" man. There is sufficient legroom in front and rear for adults. The steering wheel could extend a bit more, but it's acceptable. Outward visibility is very good, which is a rarity these days. Acceleration is good for its class, though the engine doesn't sound happy when pushed. It handles nimbly, though not as well as my '99 Protege or my wife's Mazda P5. The stereo speakers are OK for talk radio but are too flat and muddy for pretty much any music.

I've wanted a Fit since they hit the US in 2006. I've been driving Accords for many years, and with this 3rd generation Fit redesign, I finally decided it was time to own my first Fit. I opted for the fully loaded EX-L w/Navi. I've had the car for two weeks now, and I do not regret my purchase one bit. I do not feel like I am in a small subcompact in this car. It handles really well on the highway, and city driving is the most fun! I have gotten above average returns on mileage with a mix of hwy/city. Honda got it right with the Fit in my opinion. If you remember Honda from the 70's-80's, the Fit reminds me of that era. Small, economical and a blast to drive. I love my Fit!

The new Fit is so far ahead of the class that its the a the stereotypical Asian child in the classroom. Good driving dynamics, check, unbelievable packaging, check, refined drive, check powerful engine, check, check, check, check. This car is as good or much better in all parameters than any car in its category period. It irritates me to no end when the only criticism someone can level at a car is that they object to the styling, it goes a long way to establish the commenter's lack of intelligence. BTW, to my eye it looks pretty darned good.The EX without leather is the best deal, add a Garmin and go.

I have a 2015 Honda Fit LX with the 6 speed. I wanted something fuel efficient and wanted a manual. I was saving up for a CRZ, but when this new Fit got a direct injection 1.5 engine, I had to go test drive one. The dealer had an LX manual in modern steel, and leased it. I really enjoy this little car. It drives fine around town, but on the highway you need to bring the rpm up a bit to get adequate performance. I would tell you what mileage I'm getting, but I forgot to calculate my mileage at the pump, (was in a hurry) and forgot how many gallons it used. Oops. If you are considering one, I would absolutely recommend one. It does it's job excellently.

I have owned my Fit for a week now. I love the new features added to this one. I owned a 2012 Honda fit so very familiar with this style of car. The only thing I do not like about this model is how there isn't an extra glove box in this one and less cup holders then my previous car. The gas is better then the other with it's new eco button. I chose the leather seat option, but I am now worried about the up keep of the them especially considering the windows are only slightly tinted. Makes the roof feature a little bit of downer if you think of sun damage on leather. I chose the Honda Fit because it is a very reliable car. It saved my life before. I feel safe in my car.

Purchased for daughter. Test drove the LX having got out of a BMW 335xi so thought it would feel slow and unresponsive. Hot day but the AC caught up quite quickly. Loved the ride as cushioned the pot holes everywhere. Took it 360 around a small round about. Nice enough feedback from the steering wheel. Sure footed with the 15 inch tires screaming all the way around but held like glue and controlled nicely. CVT was a nice surprise as I'd read bad reports about the belt driven cone! Takes off nice and smooth but let off the gas and it takes time to slow as there are no cogs to help brake. Different but nice, not sure on brake wear though! Loved the car as its spunky, safe with fun factor!

I agree with Edmundsdotcom review of 2015 Honda Fit. We are quite pleased, so far with the Red 2015 Honda Fit EX-L with Navi that we took possession of on June 16, 2014. There are many thoughtful features included in the design. I can drive it comfortably and have learned to enter and exit OK as a 6'3" 400 pound middle-aged man. Drove 100 miles last night with two other full-sized adults as passengers and there were not any complaints from anyone There simply is not anything else in the sub-compact / compact class with this combination of room, comfort, fuel economy and upper-tier features (in the EX-L Navi trim package).
