I love my CRV TOURING. But the brakes sound like their dragging when the vehicle is cold. Every time I take it in for service I tell the dealership about them and they tell me their fine. I HOPE SO!! Makes me a little uncomfortable. The back up camera needs a beeper if something is in the way. But other than those 2 things all is great!! I depend on that Honda reliability. I drive 80 miles a day to work. I need it.

2015 CRV EX-L 4WD. No problem so far. Gas mileage depends on who is driving it. Wife: 21 mpg, When I drive it: 28 mpg. Air conditioning not so great, my 2001 Honda Accord is much more efficient. I don't feel the vibration too much or we probably got used to it, it jitters when going from 0 to 40 m/h. I called Honda company and complained, and they suggested to take it to dealer to apply some software patch, and then they asked me "when are you planning to go to the dealer ?". I said "Never", they asked "why", I said if I don't trust Honda itself (who knew about the vibration problem for 2 years now and they did not act), then how can I trust a dealer. I still love the car

Great bang for your buck with quality appointments, function & economy. Purchasing a certified used vehicle provided the added security of recasting a significant portion of both the 100k drive train and standard 36K warranty.

My last 2 cars were a Toyota Tercel and a Toyota Camry- I love Elmore Toyota in Westmister- So, I decided I wanted an SUV and bought the Honda CRV- I love the car; however, after only having it for a little over a year, I am having problems---The windshield washer fluid depletes or stops working after a week of filling- They would not return my calls and I had to resort to writing a letter- Then they responded--I dropped it off and they are telling me there is no leak- Which I tested myself and already knew this- So, I asked if the reservoir was still filled with fluid- The Manager said he didn't know and I said well, if it isn't a leak, then maybe something is clogging it- he said they do not know so, come and pick up my car and whenever I come in, they will re-test it--Are you kidding me- They are returning my car to me without it being fixed and it is under warranty-they also had to order a motor for the apparatus that sets the door locks as this is now broke---I have never had problems with my Toyotas or experienced such bad customer service as with Honda Nation in Costa Mesa--The manager even said maybe I use the washer fluid too often- Really??? Are you kidding me- I don't know what to do so, maybe I will call BBB or Consumer Affairs-I am so disappointed because I love the car but, if things are breaking after only one year, what does the future hold- I do not trust them and will be getting a different car or a different dealer!!!

The gas mileage is lousy. I bought planning my mpg would be 24 - 25 it is 20 - 21. My 2004 I just sold got 18-19. I feel completely taken by Honda. The only way I can get my mpg up a little is to turn off my car at long red lights; use the highest octane gas, leave windows wound up and very little air conditioning, don't have weight in my car; and don't drive over 60 or 65 . Be very careful if you buy this car, many people are complaining about the mpg

I am slowly liking my new car more and more. I've owned the CRV for one month now had have driven approximately two thousand miles. I average 500 miles a week. I have no mechanical complaints. The new variable transmission is a little whiney and noticeable at times . But nothing to complain about. My former vehicle was a fully loaded 2012 Odyssey except navigation to a base model 2015 AWD CRV. The two vehicles are very different. I was trying to downsize, get better mpg, and AWD. My chief complaint is that the accessories I had put on the CRV were not the same size as the Odyssey. The raised roof rack is not the same as the raised roof rack on the Odyssey. The tow package with the 2" ball is not what I expected either. My kids say the back seats are uncomfortable . I am going to get memory foam back support pads for them. They also miss the XM radio and entertainment package. I did buy a portable XM radio receiver it was free with subscription . The rear view camera is much smaller. I must say I really enjoyed working with Phil Ha at Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose, Ca.. Phil got back to me within minutes every time I contacted(email, text, voicemail) him. Phil give me the best price for my CRV within a 500 mile radius . I had contacted 4 other dealerships and Phil still had the best price. I really enjoyed working with Phil Ha and edmunds. I would recommend working with Phil and edmunds.

Great car for all uses.

I've only owned the car for 7 mos. It was stolen off of street parking. I liked the car a lot. My main dislike is the body is made of plastic with underlying cardboard in places, but that's how all cars are made today. The gas mileage did not approach the EPA ratings. It was far less by 6-8 mpg.

Have had my AWD 2015 CRV since October. When buying I had asked the salesman @ Stevens Point, Wi. Honda when the 16's were coming in. He stated in the spring. A month later the 16's were on the lot. So he lied to me to make room for 16's. This vehicle is made for those about 5'8" or less. It's a little cramped. When the front seat is all the way back you can not fold down the back seat all the way without hitting the back of the front seat. The AWD doesn't tell the driver when it's in AWD. Driver has no idea when the vehicle is in AWD. I am sure this is a decent vehicle for the city but if you live out in the country in WI, MN or other snowy states this is not the vehicle for you. My driveway has a small hill. When it's slippery out the front wheels spin. The AWD never kicks in. In other words, I don't actually know if I have AWD. The radio system isn't user friendly. The CD system behind the screen is a little weird. Mileage has been good getting between 32-35 on highway. 28.6 overall since owning.

Fantastic SUV, I'm glad I purchased it.

For me it was a toss up between a 2015-16 CR-V Touring AWD or a 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited AWD. It was gut wrenching because my last 4 cars have been Hyundais'. Both cars are truly neck and neck in almost every aspect. Although the Tucson had a few more extra features, such as heated rear seats and more refined technology. The two things that swayed me to a CR-V was, it had a much better ride. My Mom has a bad back and it was important to get a car she would be comfortable riding in when we spend time together. And Hyundai would not give me any incentives on a new purchase. So, having this car for two weeks now, I have no regrets. The voice commands and touch screen are painfully slow, and seriously Honda, no rotary volume knob!? I love how the rear seats fold several ways. I have no issues with vibration whatsoever. I was caught in absolutely terrible weather the other night, pounding rain and just nasty out. I felt very secure and safe in my CR-V, the AWD really does give peace of mind. Very happy with my decision. Although there are a few mis steps with this SUV, the package as a whole far outweigh and negatives I can point out. Next up is some window tint, summers are harsh here in Florida.

CVT Transmission takes getting comfortable with. Once you understand what it is doing you will realize it is nicer than a standard shifting automatic transmission. Read things on the internet as to how CVT works so you understand what is going on with your CRV. As for the vibration issues - there are fixes but I have not had any done. Basically you can eliminate the issue by simply turning on the headlights and keeping your oil changed as required. I additionally only use Top-Tier Gas (Regular) and ---- the big thing in addition to the headlights ---- I do not use the Econ Green Button System. I also see comments regarding seat comfort. I am 6' Tall and have no problems. I use a wooden bead vented driving seat and back and it works great. As for the problems reported at higher speeds. I have had no problems going quite fast - on roads with 70 mph speed limits.

When driving down hill and braking the car excellerates. From 2200 rpm to 3000 rpm . It is scary I will bring mine in for service but from what I've heard at other websites the dealers adjustments do little or nothing and the gas consumption goes up. Honda must address this issue with possible replacement of all these transmissions. Can be dangerous

This new CRV is really fantastic to drive! We love everything except: No auto adjust on front passenger seat. That means there are probably 40 things about it we love like the cameras and blue tooth. And there are so many small things that they paid attention to like the connection to signal on the dash panel. We just keep discovering more as well! Like this one even better than our RAV 4 which we also still drive.

This is the tenth Honda we've owned, so you know we WERE loyal! Traded in a 2007 CR-V that we loved. Our 2015 CR-V was the most uncomfortable car we've ever owned or ridden in. Couldn't stand to be in it for a trip longer than 45 minutes. The seats were awful, and the front passenger legroom was terribly restricted compared to our 2007. It was so uncomfortable that we traded it in after nine months on a 2016 Ford Escape Titanium. We love the Escape! It's better in every way than the Honda: comfort, power, quiet, handling, technology. We haven't missed anything about our Honda once since the day we drove away from it.

I bought my 2015 CRV last year and immediately had difficulty with the vehicle shuddering and then stalling. Now a year later, the transmission has been replaced, but the experience has been horrible. I had to call Honda corporate and have a case manager because the repairs, even though they were all under warranty, took more than a week to get approved before they could even order parts or begin repairing it. I was without my car for all of that time, and they wouldn't approve a rental because they said the car was drivable. ( I did finally get a rental, but only for the last 2 of 10 days) If the car needs a new transmission, how it that considered drivable and safe? 10 days later I had my CRV back, and I immediately took it to another dealer and traded it in. I have lost confidence in Honda products and in their service department. I have always owned Hondas, but never again.

Omg, I thought I was going crazy until I read the reviews. My car and passenger seat vibrate, I was told this was normal. Drive the car and it feels like I am stuck in cruise control. Car engine vibrates violently on first start up, brought back to deal and they told me and I quote"operating as designed". I thought bc I was a female they were giving me this crap, they are but reading these reviews the guys got the same story. Don't waste your money. Car is 9 months old and I'll be trading it in for a Guinean or Toyota. My Santa re was 8 yrs old and had182,000 Plus miles,no one issue.

Love everything about this car from the sleek styling to the overall comfort and reliability of a Honda. Wouldn't buy anything else but a Honda. We have a black on black interior. The cabin is spacious, lots of leg room, great gas mileage, beautiful interior screens, back up camera, side view camera.... It's loaded for the EX.

Great car; comfortable, not one problem of any sort. It has plenty of room and everything on it works flawlessly. There is a small vibration when it idles for a while with all the accessories turned off. But it's mild. I probably wouldn't have noticed it except for all the carrying-on. If I turn up the fan on the ac just a tad or use the headlights or anything that nudges the rpm up a bit, it goes away. But why bother? It's a non-issue. What is an issue is that this is a great car that runs perfectly, never gives a problem and is a pleasure to drive, both in the city and on the highway. My gas mileage is consistently better than advertised, but then I don't slam it around, either. I consistently get around 30-32 mpg in city driving. I have zero complaints about my CR-V and plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. Then, I'll probably buy another one.

I bought this vehicle based on having driven my sisters 2013 CRV. This is a very different vehicle. The transmission never engages. When I need to get in an acceleration lane and get up to speed it never takes hold. If you floor it it really confuses it and it starts to fluctuate up and down. I had a 2005 Honda pilot before this and I was ready to take a step down but the storage and fit and finish on this vehicle is not even in the same universe. The console and door storage are poorly thought out and are near useless. My pilot was the exact opposite. I know Honda is chasing good gas milage to compete but in my opinion this was a big miss. I would go so far as to say this vehicle is dangerous if you are going to take it out in traffic.

Was looking for a one year old compact SUV and found a 2015 Honda CRV w leather and only 4667 miles and certified. We had already driven a BMW X1 (too small, no rear AC vents, no spare w run flat tires (which are the worst tires ever made). We also drove a Mazda MX-5 (under powered, no rear AC vents, cloth seats). After reading reviews about the CRV had some reservations about the engine vibrations some people talked about. Found this one with on Edmunds at Coral Springs Honda (FL). We drove it (no vibrations), my wife loved it, made a deal and went home with it. Made a 1500 mile R/T a week later and it performed beautifully. Averaged about 75 to 80 MPH and and got 27 mpg (and no vibrations). Just to be on the safe side with all the electronics we extended the bumper to bumper to 7 years/100K which is the same as the powertrain warranty. Our first Honda and very pleased.

Performs well. Easy to operate, good acceleration and braking. Excellent cargo space and very comfortable seats. Look is really nice and handles well. It lacks the blind spot blinkers and audible warnings but includes a camera for passenger side blindspots. That helps but can also be distracting. Doesn't allow voice commands for audio and navigation but does for phones. Good lane monitoring system, collision, variable cruise control and braking.

Bought 2015 CR-V(EX) this past October. Now has about 7k miles on it. Have to admit I am disappointed. Feel scrunched in front seat. I'm 6ft tall. This car is made for those 5'8" or less. Had to tilt the back of seat back a little to create a little more room. The problem when you do this is you cannot fold down the back seat due to hitting the back of the front seat. The levers under the stearing wheel( lights and wipers) are not lit up. Can't see at night. The AWD system is my biggest complaint. The vehicle chooses when to place the vehicle in AWD. This was an issue when purchasing but like a fool I listened to the salesman. You never know when the car is in AWD. There is no indicator. The owners manual has one sentence about AWD. I want to know when I'm in AWD. I would think the driver knowing that could be kinda important. How do I know if there really is an AWD system? My driveway has a minor hill. Last fall with some freezing rain the front wheels spun barely making it up the hill. No help from the AWD. The car does have a very minor vibration when ideling at stop sign. Plus, when purchasing(October) I asked the salesman when the 2016's were coming out. He stated in the spring. Two weeks later there were 16's on the lot. Mileage is good. 33-36 on highway per computer.

I have made five trips to the Honda dealer over a vibration issue I had when driving/coasting at 70 to 75 MPH. My Honda dealer finally did a Road Force Balance on the tires and this procedure showed one of my Continental tires had a flaw where the wheel could not be Road Force Balanced. They replaced the tire and did the Road Force Balance. It appears this has resolved my problem. If you are having similar vibration issues, insist they do a Road Force Balance on all wheels. Dealers don't like to do this because it takes more time. This is my first and last Honda purchase. I have bought Toyota's since 1993 and regret not staying with them.

i guess all the people complaining about vibration are expecting this vehicle to act and sound just like their older cars. I have owned 3 other CR-Vs, 1999, 2004, 2011. I now have a 2015 2wd Touring. Yes, it vibrates a little. It has a different transmission than the old type, and it kind of works like a bicycle derailler. it's gonna have some different noises then you are used to. I've had this one since October 2015 (yes, I did get a great price, the 2016's were out already) Hasn't needed any service, the first oil change will be due soon. None of my CRV's had any major problems and I will stay with CR-Vs in the future. I have had several because the previous job I had required the use of my car and I regularly put between 25000 to 35000 per year on all of them. My current job doesn't require as much driving, so this one should last a lot longer. One last note to all the whiners and boycotters, LEARN ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE the controls, the differences from previous models, the cameras, (I like the rt side cam, use it when changing lanes, exiting tricky ramps from freeways) Great car, will never buy anything else.

7600 miles and still under warranty ( thank heavens). On I-95 in Delaware, headed for my son's in PA when transmission dies! In middle lane of 5 lane highway. Truck driver behind me pushes me to shoulder at great personal risk. Towed to dealer who got me rental. Ordered new transmission and I picked it up on Thursday. Dealer (Martin Honda was great) but Honda disappinted me. I had a 2007 CRV which I loved! If this tranny busts it will be my last Honda!

They screw a lot of people on a car and they won't buy it back because it's not a "safety" issue.. Car was fix the only way to not feel it is to use headlights.. I buy a car and I get a lemon I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY HONDA.... no body even the lemon lawyers won't help.. God bless America.. Going back to American cars I will never buy Honda again. Also cheap car I wounded how many beer cans they use lol

My transmission emits a high pitched wheezing while in motion. Two different Honda service managers from different dealers tell me this: These new transmissions are designed with "gears that float"???? This seems to cause internal pressure not found during design testing. The wheezing sound is the pressurized air escaping from a tiny hole in the trans gasket. Honda knows this and as everyone has heard they do NOT care. Perhaps the reason I do not experience any shaking is due to the pressure being released and not pent-up. In any case, please know I will be hiring an attorney skilled in class action suits and will urge you to join in!!!!! Stay tuned

I brought my crv to service last 3/15/16 to c/o about the vibration I feel when my car is in idle. The service checked it and fixed the problem,. when I drive my car home I noticed a big difference in the mileage. I lost 3miles /gallon. Honda fixd the problem and gave me another problem. I bought crv for the mileage they promised. I called the dealership and still waiting for any solution they can give me. Honda you suck!

I wanted the flexibility and fuel economy of a smaller SUV. I got all that, plus a lot of other things I did not bargain for. The seats are firm and uncomfortable. The driveability is completely uninspiring - I wasn't expecting much and still was disappointed. The in-car audio/hands free system was a complete disaster. Music would start playing halfway through a phone call. People on the other end of the line had great difficulty hearing me through the hands free microphone. My dealer could/would do *nothing* about this. The controls on the steering wheel are not intuitive in the least. The second screen mounted above the main entertainment system is spectacularly useless. Don't ever try to do a thing with the LCD screen while making a right turn because you'll be subjected to the right side mirror mounted cam which serves little if any practical purpose. The headlights are SO bright that you cannot drive this vehicle at night without others flashing their bright lights at you - even when yours are not turned on. I made a huge mistake in purchasing this vehicle and am about to do something I've never done before - turn a car in after less than a year with it.

This is a great car but terribly uncomfortable due to the forward tilt of the headrest. If you sit with good posture there is no way you can drive this car more than 60 miles. The headrest is angled forward and pushes constantly on the back of your head. I windup looking directly at my speedometer all of the time. All of the great technology is useless if you can't drive it. Most other car manufacturers allow about 2" between the back of your head and the headrest. My Subby is really old (2001) but really comfortable. "An update 9-2016) the headrest can be turned backwards but then there is too much space between the headrest and my head. The other solution is to recline the back of the seat so you're partially reclined but due to my fractured back that too is impossible. Best solution, trade it in and buy another Subaru.

Seriously losing confidence in Honda's quality. I've owned 2 cars in my lifetime.. both Hondas.. and both have glaring defaults within. (Previous car: 2001 Honda Accord, which came w/ a bad transmission) The 2015 Honda CRV came out of the dealership lot driving great. I thought I finally scored a great deal of a car! Then I started reading about the VIBRATION issues the car supposedly had. The car still drove well for another 10,000 miles.. But now, I'm near nauseous at every stop light I find myself at. I look over at the passenger seat, which is shaking madly.. which means that the driver seat I"m sitting on is also shaking likewise. This shaking at idle reminds me of the transmission issue I dealt with in my previous Honda Accord, where the car constant risk of shaking and dying upon acceleration at eery red light. I certainly hope Honda does something about their problems with the 21015 CRV. They received incredible ratings and reviews upon initial release and rode it all the way to best seller. This is very unfortunate that the car does not deliver up to value and no has many (and priorly non-returning) customers. Very disapointing

Wow that was fast!!!

I purchased my new Honda CR-V (touring) on June 1, 2015. I have accumulated over 35000 miles on the vehicle driving across the west and in the northeast after retiring. Actually moved out to California for the winter with my dog, from Pennsylvania, with everything carried in the car. The car has been very comfortable, and I have felt safer due to the blind spot monitor camera on the passenger side view mirror. The car has been driven in a variety of weather conditions, esp. rain and wind conditions. Did have two episodes of hydroplaning with the OEM tires in severe downpour condidtions, easily dealt with by slowing down by taking foot off the gas pedal. Majority of driving has been freeway/interstate. No experience with snow or ice with this car. I love the quality of the entertainment system and the variety of options with Pandora and satellite radio. The hands free phone system is very cool in connection with my iPhone 6plus. Navigation is effective in helping me get where I want to go, and in accurately gauging the "are we there yet?" factor! Power lift tailgate is a great thing to have! I am concerned that later this month, after only 10 months of ownership, I will be out of warranty having driven as many miles as I have, but have had great experiences with Hondas (an Accord LX, a CR-V LX, and a Pilot Touring) in the past. Very happy with this vehicle.

Our 2015 CRV has been great. Initially I worried about he reports of vibration from some owners but thankfully I've had absolutely no issues. Performance and comfort are great. Handling is solid. Quite happy. Only two things I'd change: --the built in microphone for calls really has a hard time with any ambient noise. Wind or even air from the vents regularly disrupts calls and commands. -- The tan seats get spots too easily. I moved to the CRV from he Ody van and a Passat and Camry before that. These CRV seats definitely mark up more quickly than any of the others. Other than that, great car!

I made the mistake of buying a 2015 CRV and noticed shortly after purchasing a terrible vibration at idle and at varying speeds. Brought it in twice because I was told they finally had a fix but they lied and were unable to fix the problem. Now I am unable to drive this car and have 5 years of car payments on a car I can't drive. Other dealerships will basically give me nothing for a trade so I am stuck. Please DON'T buy a Honda, they used to be a reliable company but they are not anymore. I test drove 8 2016 CRV's and they also had the same problem, but Honda continues to sell this vehicle. No reputable company continues to sell a knowingly defective vehicle. How can Honda get away with doing this to people?

Let me start by saying I am currently in arbitration with the National Center for Dispute Settlement http://ncdsusa.org/ and will move onto Lemon Law litigation. I have a 2015 Honda CRV AWD Touring currently over 13k miles and have experienced an array of problems which really has put a sour taste in my mouth because of the numerous problems with our CRV and the type of response from Honda. I have taken the car into service departments that have either took note of, tried numerous fixes or not at all, but in the end we are told that nothing can be done because this is a "characteristic of the vehicle" and no fix is needed . I've even been told by my Honda dealer doing the warranty work that I can take my business to another dealer. I recommend you document all of your visits, even test drives with service advisors, log phone calls and make sure service records state what you reported, what work was done, what was noticed on test drives. I have met with District Parts and Service Manager, filed with Honda Customer Service, sent certified letters and all have resulted in the same response. This is a characteristic of the vehicle. Make sure to file these problems/complaints with Honda Customer Service 1-800-999-1009 and the NHTSA https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ so the government takes notice. Here are some of the issues you may experience with the CRV. 1. Vibration issues for mode 1, 2 and 3 before and after TSB 15-046 -Driving Mode 1: While stopped with vehicle in gear. -Driving Mode 2: While between 1,000–1,200 rpm at takeoff. -Driving Mode 3: While driving between 1,800–2,200 rpm around 40–50 mph. 2. Vibration at highway speeds 70-80+ 3. Shudder, stall when in reverse 4. Steering issues -Pulls left under acceleration when wheel centered -Does not maintain center/neutral position or track straight down the road without excessive intervention. -Intermittently needs unexpected intervention through turns as the steering is not direct or does not reflect input from the driver. -The steering requires more input in one direction versus another. Intermittently steering becomes very heavy as if no power assist is given. 5. Car whines/whistles when driving These are the problems my car continues to have after taking them in to get "fixed". Update: In the end Honda offerred me a few thousand to close out arbitration while not owning up to or fixing the problems. I unloaded the car as a trade-in since people seem to keep buying them. I watched the car sit at the car dealership for months and not sure if it sold or was sent off to auction. I was going to go through Lemon Law litigation but did not want to put in the time while holding on to the car. Its a real shame, I have a 2008 Acura RL and have owned many Honda through the years without any problems. But Honda's bean counters just screwed up. And now the new Honda Accord 4 cylinder is having issues with the Earth Dreams/CVT combo vibration. Read the forums. Google Earth Dreams Vibration. Go to NHTSA.gov and you will see all the complaints.

Do not buy the Honda CR-V Honda knows there is a serious problem with vibration, shaking and poor gas mileage. This car will make you sick driving it. It shakes like a 20 year old car and the gas mileage is at least a third less than advertised. You will get no satisfaction from Honda concerning the shaking as they claim this is characteristic of the vehicle. The sleazy dealer Metro Honda in Johnston RI sold us this vehicle with full knowledge of the defect in it. This is by far the worst vehicle I have ever purchased. Don't make a huge mistake by purchasing this car

The vibration is ridiculous. I had two fixes and still have vibration. The amount of time it takes for the cabin to get warm is unacceptable. I live in the NE and if it wasn't for the heated seats I'd freeze to death. I drive both city and highway and I haven't even achieved the listed city mpg. This will be the last time we buy a Honda.

I had to sell my 2004 CRV AWD with less than 20k miles, since health issues made it difficult to use the clutch in the 5-speed. That car was one of the best I've ever owned - virtually nothing went wrong with it, aside from a few recalled, all it needed was oil and gas, and you were good to go. I truly enjoy the 2015 CRV Touring replacement - the electronics, the audio sound, noise suppression, the ride - everything except the rumble at 1200 rpm, and the fact that they got rid of the flip up back window. Luckily the way I drive I don't dwell at this rpm, so the vibration is just a minor annoyance. Without the flip back window, I can't carry long stuff in the back - like long boards, garden tools, my lawn mower, and stuff the wife buys that comes in long boxes. Can't say it too much, I really enjoy this car.

We leased our 2015 CRV for the fact we liked the new body style and the fuel economy was great. We leased for wife to drive and this gave me the peice of mind that the services would all be done at the dealership and she was in good hands. All was well with the suv, we drove it from ohio to florida and back for vacation and it had great fuel economy. However on our next trip to Tennessee we had major transmission problems over 100 miles away from home. On the way I was driving and noticed that the rpms would increase and decrease rapidly. I thought maybe some bad gas was causing the issue and stopped to assess the problem. At idle the car was fine and as I increased the throttle there were no issues. Back on the road about 15 miles and the car seemed to get worse rpms surging. We decided to turn back and limp it home to the dealership we bought it from. About 20 miles heading back the shifts got worse and the D light on the dash starts to flash. I immediately pulled over and safely got to a gas station. By the time I pulled into the gas station the rpms were at 4000 just to get the car to move a little and you could here squelling from the transmission. 3hrs later (I forgot to mention my wife was 4 months pregnant and very emotional as the trip was for valentine's weekend) we got the car to the nearest dealership to assess the transmission. The CRV only has close to 15,000 miles on it and the codes thrown for the transmission were showing total failure. We tried to get a rental from the dealership, but we didnt have honda care just 24hr roadside assistance so they said no coverage. After many calls to our dealership and the 24 hr roadside assistance (got hung up on a couple times by them) we decided to give up on them. The dealership we were at helped us get a good rate on a rental that WE paid for and decided not to have the car ruin our valentine's weekend and I am actually writing this review in Tennessee. I have been a honda fan as they usually have great cars (I have the ridgeline), but I think they may have tried something new and failed. The new cvt transmission seemed good at first, but now I do not have high hopes for it.

It is bad experience to have honda CR -V.

My mechanic (and owner of shop) told me this was the car to buy over a Rav 4. This car handles amazingly in the snow!! It handles well and is comfortable to ride. I purchased the EX-L and I am glad I did. Like others said, there is a slight vibration when you have the foot on the brake at a stop, but not a big deal. Honda has a great reputation and I am so glad I bought this car. The back has great leg room as well. No regrets

Unlike many who complain here, I have been thrilled with my purchase (2200 miles) with one small exception: some minor vibration at idle (about 600 RPMs). Honda now has a fix for this, as well as two other forms of vibration at higher RPMs (termed modes 1, 2 and 3). I had the mode 1 fix for the idling issue done today, and, voila! NO VIBRATION AT IDLE! I am thrilled. My fix involved new transmission and lower radiator mounts, neutralizing the engine mounts and some software fixes. Everything seems 'tighter' now, and am hoping mileage will improve as a result. Some have mentioned that you have to sign a disclaimer on mileage, but I don't recall that I did. Absolutely no charge and about 90 minutes of your time. Do it and be happy with your purchase again!!

This vehicle vibrates, shudders, motorboats, however you want to describe it, will shake you thru your bones!! Acceleration is good, fuel economy is good, ride is a bit noisy, storage is adequate. Honda has admitted to the shuddering problem but has not fixed it. I've had the car for 1 1/2 years and they keep telling me to be patient. I definitely would NOT recommend this vehicle, and because of the way Honda has handled the issue, I would not recommend any Honda product.
