Worst car I've owned in 20 years of driving. Run.

Loses 50% of value in one year. Shifts horribly. Particularly from 2nd-3rd, as well as down shifting on down hills when applying the brakes. Not at all the time, but enough to make you flinch, expecting it to lurch you forward in your seat. Didn't happen during test drive or I definitely would not have purchased. Took it to dealer, was told this was "normal behavior" for this transmission and handed a print out of internal service bulletin ststing the same. Note to Ford: If you get so many complaints about an issue there is an ISB created for it, perhaps your definition of "normal behavior" should be reevaluated. Cheap feel to materials on interior, especially the doors. When you press on the door to exit, it just feels like dry-rotted foam behind it. Doors don't seal well, lots of dust/dirt spring through fall, doors freeze shut in winter. Trim doesn't line up, just a general lack of attention to detail. Rides smooth and quiet, perhaps the best on those 2 items of any car I've ever owned. Beyond that...Beautiful aesthetically, useless functionally. Begrudgingly looking to trade in despite the huge financial hit.

Before buying a fusion, I went and test drove everything the midsize sedan market had to offer. The fusion is BY FAR the best car in the class. I did some comparing between the three motor options. The 2.5l isn't enough, the 1.5l is about right, and the 2.0l is tons of fun to drive. I shopped around and found a 1 year old rental vehicle with the 2.0 in it. By far the best thing I've ever driven. I would even venture to say it feels sportier than a mustang. The car is fairly roomy. The roof is a little on the short side. I'm 6'0 with most of my height in my torso. If I was an inch or two taller, I might have issues fitting in under the roof. The trunk has tons of room in it. The only thing I can complain about is it takes the fan a while to kick on after starting a car, which is annoying when it's hot, but its not too big of an issue. Bottom line: this is the best car in the midsize sedan class, as long as you get it with the 2.0l ecoboost.

all around poor experience with this car. performance is terrible with the small 1.5 liter motor pushing 3500 lbs. from a start probably one of the most anemic engines I've ever experienced- only when the turbo kicks in does it finally get up to speed. pitches and rolls entirely too much entering and exiting an onramp. poor tire and brake wear ( at least compared to cars I have experienced in the past). The car has had a continued water leak in the truck which the dealer cannot figure out. The car is too big for a midsize. This isn't the easiest hunk a junk to park in the mall parking lot next to your Civics and Audis which are all a foot or more shorter.

Purchased this pre owned certified car from dealer for what I consider to be a reasonable price. Although it has 36,000 miles it's in great shape and I bought the extended warranty just in Case! There is an annoying little rattle (more of a ticking) that seems to only happen when I drive...versus the dealer! Ha. The entertainment controls are cumbersome... And there are about four different ways to change the temperature or radio channel. I vote for simplicity over trending.

Look for reviews from owners , research the top 10 used cars list, rent one if you can and drive it for a 1-3 hour trip. That's what I did over a year ago, 15,400 miles ago and I have no regrets. i have a 2015 SE, leather power seats, moon roof, etc. Two visits to the shop, one for a campaign and another for a front seat belt sticking. Love the car and my wife loves it as well. Traded a vehicle with a V/6 in for this 2.0 turbo 4 cyl. and there is no noticeable difference in power. As I now have owned this Fusion for almost two years I have not a single bad word to say about it. Even when I had the second visit to the dealer the service writer remarked what a nice car it is. Love it.

My Nissan Altima was totaled and Enterprise gave me a 2015 Ford Fusion for 2 weeks while the insurance company and I worked out the details. Overall, the car was pretty solid and I was fairly satisfied with it overall. Pros: Personally, I loved the climate control, backup camera, automatic headlights, and the bluetooth feature. Cons: There were definitely glitches with the "MyFord" technology, handling was pretty average, and my biggest complaint was that I believe there are some serious blind spots on this car, particularly on the driver side. It's difficult to explain, but switching lanes was not easy in this car because some unnecessary cosmetic plastic on the inside of the car. Lastly, the ceiling seemed a bit low and the two seats in the front were unnecessarily big. Feel like you probably will get more room in comparable Japanese full size sedans. Overall: I enjoyed the car, but I still think any comparable Japanese car is better (Altima, Maxima, Camry, Accord, etc). I think Ford is probably the best American auto maker, but I purchased a 2014 Altima and it's definitely nicer. Regardless, the car was very smooth driving and you could definitely do a lot worse.

Almost bought an Accord. So far, glad I didn't. I bought the deep impact blue with charcoal leather heated seats. It looks like a million bucks! The tiny little 1.5L EcoBoost is amazing. You think "really? This big 5 passenger car has a tiny 1.5L motor and it moves like this?" Plenty of power to pass or climb hills. Think it should be quicker? No problem! Drop it into sport mode and things get a little more exciting. It's not a Charger SRT but it gets the job done while sipping fuel. It's VERY hilly where we live and as long as you doing 60+ mph, it'll take all the hills in 6th gear, overdrive. Slower than that, there's not much torque left in this motor below 1500 rpm. The seats a very comfortable. The heat on your lower back makes you not want to get out of the seats. Huge trunk, quite ride. My only nit pick is there's a really nice place for your smart phone under the stereo, but the USB port is in the console under the arm rest. Should've been up near the radio instead of having to deal with a lose cord. Duh! The old Sync 2 system isn't as bad as they say it is but I'm sure the new sync 3 coming out on the 2017 I'm sure will be even better. Love the digital display panels too.

I have a 2015 1.5 ecoboost fusion. I bought it for around 26,000 dollars in feburary 2015. 6 months later the car is only books for 17000. Holds no resale value at all. Infotainment system sucks. Heat is very cantankerous. Roasting one minute and freezing the next and if you are over 6ft do not buy this car. I am 6'4 and I can't sit up straight in the driver seat. I have to slouch to not bump my head on the head liner.

Well, I got the car as an early birthday/ Christmas gift... GORGEOUS CAR! The 2.0 liter ecoboost engine is so much for the rather small displacement, which leads me to the bad part... I am literally getting 17.8 mpg in city and 26 mpg on the highway going 67 mph, when the EPA says it should get 21 mpg city and 31 highway... My former 2009 Camry with a 2.5 liter I-4 and 5 spd automatic got much better fule economy... Highly disappointed in that regard... But the style and the build quality is basically that of my father's Infiniti G37 (which is a luxury sports sedan)! It is truly impeccable! The continental tires are quiet and have fantastic grip! It truly is an ambiguous car when it comes to the drive characteristics, it can be a calm, compliant riding car when needed and a sporty, agile half back when needed! Truly a good car!

The electronics of the car is shorty and cheap. Ford will do nothing to rectify the situation. They are liars and act as if they are trying to fix the issues, but they really don't care. Do not buy a Ford from Germain Ford in Dublin Ohio. Anything they can't figure out, they say it's normal. I will never buy another Ford again in life. I wouldn't even accept a free one, that's how much I hate Ford.

I bought a 2015 Ford Fusion SE in February and there is a design flaw since 2013 and Ford refuses to fix their heated seats that go on whenever they want to. Ford issued a bulletin in April of 2015 telling their dealers No REPAIRS TO BE PERFORMED. They refuse to fix a problem that they caused. I think the Government Safety Board should get involved. Boycott Ford. They don't even return some phone calls. Do not buy your car from Vista Ford in Woodland Hills, as they do not help you with Ford.

I purchased the fusion for fuel economy and a good price. 3 weeks ago I was hit from behind and pushed into the vehicle in front of me. I walked away with no injuries, no neck or back pain. Today I am back at the Ford dealer looking for a replacement vehicle

First, I will start with the bad. The gas mileage is not great. I average 22 overall. I do drive aggressively. I get mid 30's on highway going 60-70 mph. City is mid to upper teens. Those are honest numbers. Consumer reports and motor trend and auto week experienced the same thing I do, probably all driving aggressively. Other than that, this is a great car. I have owned 3 Audi's, and this car drives and rides like an Audi. The ceramic leather interior reminds of of my vanilla interior of my Audi A6. I took a very long test drive, and I could not believe it was a Ford midsize. This was as expensive car. With options, the MSRP was 38,775. I did not pay that, but this car has virtually every option. It competes well with cars costing more. I have driven 12,000 miles in the 7 months I have owned it, and it is phenomenal. I am just as happy, if not more so, than the day I purchased it. The SONY sound system is fantastic. Better than BOSE systems in others cars I have owned. My Ford Touch is so much easier to use than reviews have stated. I have never even looked at the manual. With all of the electronic gizmos we have these days, I suspect the reviewers I have read can't even use a cell phone. The 4 quadrants are straight forward, and the voice commands are not complicated. I have not had any issues with this car. With all the technology and everything that could go wrong, I am shocked. I am also impressed with how smooth the 2.0T is, and how well the automatic transmission works with it. I have seen mixed reviews on that, but my experience is that you don't have to floor the accelerator at all. it just goes when you press down on the gas. Great car ford. I love it so much, I bought a new Ford Flex a few months later with the 3.5 ecoboost engine. My experience with the Flex has been the same. That is a great SUV, but it really is an oversized tall wagon that rides nicely and feels like a rocket when you hit the gas.

Nothing but trouble since purchasing. The lie about the fuel economy. Wheel cupping on the rear tires already, at less than 20,000 miles. By far the worst design fail for gravel road driving. Dust just rolls in through the doors. Ford refuses to fix the design flaw stating "it's normal" when my one year old develops asthma or other lung issues from breathing in constant dust you better bet I'll be going after Ford legally. Do not purchase if you travel gravel on a consistent basis. Total fail on Ford. This will be a very long 3 years of ownership, counting down until I can trade this piece of crap off.

This is my second Ford Fusion. The 2015 is incredible. Has all the bells and whistles, except moon roof (which I never use anyway). The 4 cyl eco-Boost engine is really peppy. So far my mileage in city is 25.9. Have had no issues with the car at all. Easy access from the drivers seat with the memory seat function. Back up camera a plus, and the electronics in this car with Microsoft Sync is terrific. The Sony sound system is awesome as well. Truck space is great with the fold down rear seats has a lot of room. 18" wheels make for a commfortable ride. This is a great bang for the buck.

So I bought my brand new 2015 Ford Fusion from Maryland thinking I made a good decision I was wrong. To start as soon as I started driving it back to my home in NY I heard a loud whistling noise. Told me it was the air conditioning. Said that if I didn't have all my vents open it will do that. Sound a little fishy I had all of my vents open. A month later I hear an even louder noise coming from the rear end driver side. Took it in said they couldn't find anything wrong that it's normal and I will just have to endure it.....excuse me? I didn't even have my first oil change and it already sounds like im going to break down somewhere. I'm so upset it's my first car and now I'm stuck with this piece of crap. Thanks ford.

I am very happy with my Fusion, only several minor complaints. One the information on the dash are very hard to see, too small of lettering, all though when dash lights are on and bright they are ok. But some of these electronics are hard to understand, but my main disappointment is with all these super electronics and safety features, why didn't Ford put rear windshield wipers as standard equipment. Still today, feel the same, all minor issues, and can be overlooked, other than that, I love my Fusion. Enjoy all the compliments I get from people about what a nice car. thanks Ford.

My wife and I had been looking for her a new midsized vehicle for the last three months. We literally drove every competitor car in the class. Camry - Price was good, power and handling adequate but in typical Toyota fashion wanting in the features department. Accord- Price was an issue for a feature rich car but the engine noise... Good God the engine noise! Regal- Good car and actually our 2nd choice. Great power and handling but the Buick exterior colors couldn't get any more bland. The interior's color combinations are a visual assault on the senses and their Premium packages are just goofy if you ask me. Mazda 6- Good car also but the front seat I am almost certain uses granite for seat padding. Pricing was just a bit of concern with the Mazda as well. But not a bad choice if you are numb from the waist down. Also just a smidge weak in the power department with no engine upgrades available. Altima- Not a bad choice either, very comparable to the Mazda with slightly better seats but the same slightly lackluster performance with no upgrades available. Optima- A little floaty in the suspension. Good power from the turbo model. (on par with the Buick and Fusion) But despite claims of 20mpg on in the city, my 50 mile test drive was nowhere near that. I suspect the way that car is tuned you could realistically expect 14-15 in the city. Tons of features, but found most of them completely useless for our purposes. Sonata- Was a solid competitor across all measures with one exception. The lumbar support in the seats I am pretty sure were designed with a 2ft tall person in mind. For a non-homunculus it should be named pelvic/tail bone torture device. Malibu- Just off a little by every measure. Mostly quality of materials. The car felt cheap when compared to others on the list. Audi A3 & A4- Both good cars all around. A bit too pricey and the premium fuel requirement stinks. Not to mention dealerships are sparse. Passat- Just generally an uncomfortable vehicle and blasé on almost every count. If I forgot a car in the same class then I apologize but if you ask what about...? Then the fact I forgot it should tell you it was forgettable. I assure you we test drove all of them. Hands down the Fusion reigns supreme in this class of cars.

I have owned my Fusion for a year now and haven't had any problems. I especially like the automatic climate control, rear camera and the transmission is very smooth. The 2 L engine preforms well with no hesitation. My gas mileage has been pretty close to the EPA estimate. I live in an area with lots of hills and curves it's more like city driving so locally I get about 24 MPG, on the highway I have done as much as 33MPG. I recorded all my fuel usage for the year and have an overall average of 26 MPG, just what the EPA estimate says. The Fusion handles very well on our curvy roads. The seating is comfortable and it has a slightly taunt ride, not spongy like some of its competitors.

As far as the looks of my 2015 Ford Fusion, it is a very nice sporty looking vehicle, however, it has a lot of blind spots which makes me very nervous when changing lanes. I have a new teen driver in the house also and it makes it hard for him to see also when switching lanes. We took this car to Orlando, Florida from N.Carolina (9 hour trip) it was not a very comfortable ride. However it didnt seem as bad when we took another vacation that was only a 4 hour drive. I would not suggest this car to really tall people due to leg room and the roof being so low. My son who is 5'9" tall has a really hard time sitting in the back seat because of leg room. This is a nice vehicle for your average size person who dont travel alot.

I must preface this review with the fact this is my second Ford Fusion. My first one was a 2013 with the 1.6 Echoboost. I will not go into why I got rid of that car. I will refer back to the 2013 for differences I noticed. I have had the car for 8 months and 9K miles. First, the 2.0L Echoboost is a way better engine. It has real power over the 1.6L Echoboost. While the 1.6L got 37MPG on my drives from Raleigh to Philly, the 2.0L Echoboost gets 33MPG. Around town I usually got 28MPG with the 1.6L and 24MPG with the 2.0L. When all is said and done, I would take the 2.0L every time. Besides the fact the 2.0L jumps off a stop light like a rabbit, it is significantly quieter than the 1.6L. It is possible Ford improved the engine isolation from the 2013 model but all I know is my 2.0L 2015 engine is quieter than the 1.6L I had my the 2013 model. The reason I picked the Fusion is because it just drives better than everything else I tried, Accord, Camry, Sonata, and Optima. I did not try a Mazda 6 or the Malibu. The handling is superior. The steering is tighter. The interior is quieter. It also looks better. The power adjustable passenger seat is my wife's favorite feature. She is 5 foot nothing and needed a seat cushion when she sat in the passenger seat of my 2013. Without the power height adjustment, short passengers may feel like they are sitting near the asphalt. My car has leather, Nav, sunroof, Sync, backup sensors etc... So it is pretty loaded. It does not have AWD, blind spot detection, or the 110V plug in the back. Of all the options I have that I would not do with out is the back up sensors. We live on a cul de sac where every kid in the neighborhood plays. Even with the backup camera, the sensors have made the difference between a live kid and squashed kid. I could do without the navigation. It is not very fast and map updates are ~$140. My Garmin with lifetime updates was less than one map update for my Fusions Nav and it worked better. The voice commands only seem reliable if you are driving down a very smooth road or if you are stopped. My 2013, which was noisier but seemed to do a better job of recognizing voice commands. An earlier reviewer complained the Bluetooth was the issue. I think the issue is with the mics or the mic placement. My phone synced up fine over Bluetooth and I can stream music from my phone without any issues. I have an old i-pod connected over USB and the head unit works fine controlling it. One thing I don't like are floor mats. They are useless. Go to Autozoneor Wal-Mart and get some real floor mats. I work on my cars. Changing the oil is kind of a pain, because there is a huge aero-shield under the car that you have to remove to get to oil pan. If you don't change your oil yourself, then it may not be an issue for you. Also the 2.0L takes over 5qts of oil. If you go to Jiffy Lube with a coupon, expect to fork over a couple of extra bucks for an extra quart of oil. The 1.6L took ~4qts. Like most newer cars, changing your headlight bulbs is a major project. You have to remove the whole from fascia to replace the bulbs. Lately it seems most new cars have this design issue. I have not needed to do this but I did watch the u-tube video. Once I got the car, I added mud flaps I ordered off the internet for $15. You will need to remove the tires to put them on. I also ordered a carpeted mat for the trunk for $50. I got a black mat but I wish I ordered grey. The trunk is dark and it is easy to miss, until the next day, that pound of ground beef that slipped out of the shopping bag. The leather is OK. Not as soft as what you get in a Lexus but it is easy to clean. My guess it is really leatherette, a combination of ground leather and binding agents. Still better than vinyl. My 2015 has tan leather. It cleans fairly easily. I do it once every couple of weeks with a good leather cleaner. I did prefer the black leather I had on my 2013. I did have my windows tinted, hoping that blocking as much UV radiation as I can with the hope it will help preserve the interior. The NC summer sun can cook a car. In Summary - I really like the car. Would I buy it again. Yes...and I did.

Well...after only 3 months of ownership, the cheap piece of plastic dehind the door handle popped out and won't go back in. The Bluetooth sounds awful to anyone I'm on the other line with, everyone says it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel. The brakes are over responsive and too touchy, never thought that could be a complaint until this vehicle. I drove the Malibu previously to driving/buying the Fusion and it was luxury compared to this pos I'm stuck with. My family is a Ford family so I let them convince me to buy the Fusion...never again...if you haven't driven the Malibu yet, go do yourself a favor, you'll be much happier!

I bought the Fusion Titanium AWD (Ruby Red) and just love it. It is truly a gorgeous car and is the best looking car in its class with a fluid design. Too many cars today have gone overboard with odd geometric angles. The Fusion design is just stunning. I have the black leather interior which looks sharp. The engineering of the car is superb. Great feel on the road.

I bought this car due to my tranny going out in my other vehicle. When I got it I was happy it was great, then I made the drive all the way from Washington to California and back and when I got back I started having issues with the car not wanting to shift into gears it would be up to 3-4 rpms before it would shift and this was only going 20 mph so to my info it was the tranny so took it in got it fixed and here I am once again having the same issue.

We need to replace my wife's car and the Fusion was our first choice. We have had our 2015 Ford Fusion SE for a month and love it! Love the interior design/layout, really love the exterior looks, and have not seen or experienced any quality or reliability issues. We are getting gas milages higher than the MPG listing! We do not drive heavy footed, so that helps our MPG. Would I buy another or recommened it to a friend? YES, absolutely!

My wife and I looked for a new car for over a year and drove nearly every mid-sized sedan on the market, except for high-end models (and even a few of those!). Although we were not initially considering ford, in the end we felt the Fusion EcoBoost 2L Titanium had everything we both wanted and performed like my 2004 Saab 9-3 2L turbo I was trading in. Once thing I did not want to sacrifice was mileage, and the titanium was rated at 22 city/33 highway, about the same as my Saab. However, after 4000 miles I am only getting 20 City and 25 highway, MUCH less than the Saab (which got about 25 city/33 HWY). Mileage is horrendous for a 2L turbo. we are very disappointed in this vehicle.

This is my second Fusion, i had a 2013, and now i have a 2015, love the car. I have never had any problems with my old fusion or the new one. I would 100% recommend this car to everyone, great on gas great daily driver, my only two things i dislike is it could have a little bit more power under the hood, and my out side color is black and it is one of the hardest cars I've ever owned to keep clean, i wash it about 2 to 3 times a week, the black color gets so dirty, but it really shines when it washed up and looks great.

This is my first Ford I've owned, we've always been a Chevy family....but I've heard rave reviews on the Ford Fusion and quite frankly I don't feel Chevy has mastered their midsize sedans quite yet besides the Impala, but I didn't want another one of those. I am very happy with the features on my Fusion, however after driving on my gravel roads, which I drive at least 6 miles a day, I have found that the doors do not seal well. I actually thought someone had not shut their door all the way, dust was rolling in. This car actually seals worse than my 2002 VW Beetle. I will be calling my dealer to see if there is something simple that can resolve this problem.

I love this car. I got rid of my 2012 focus. Couldn't stand the transmissions in those cars. My fusion however shifts smooth, rides great and looks amazing inside and out! I have the ruby red with the se appearance package. I got this car to use to mostly drive back and forth to work. I'm getting on average 28-30 mpg combined. I highly recommend the fusion. I also have a 2013 explore which is great too. Ford has really stepped up their game in the past 10 years! You will be very happy with the fusion!

I bought this car brand new... It's super fast and fun to drive! However, I'm a big guy 6'0" 285lbs and the driver seat is not real comfortable. The seats I have are heated and cooled! The driver seat does not lower enough to make it comfortable. The passenger seat goes much lower than the drivers seat. Other than that the car is great! I only have 10k miles on the car and get about 20mpg. Which is not very good!

Bought an SE in December last year with the following: 1.5L EcoBoost, Equipment Group 201A, Moonroof with garage opener, MyFord Touch, and 6-speed auto transmission. Now the car has 1,750 miles. Two major issues. First, the fit and finish are not as good as they should be. For example, the trunk lid and tail lights do not flush or lineup properly. The door handles also do not fit seamlessly. Second, the actual mixed mileage was far less than the EPA mixed one, i.e. 23 vs. 28. None of my family members drive harshly, as we are very light-footed. Otherwise, the car is fun to drive, comfortable to ride in, and nice to look at.

I recently traded a 2012 Ford Focus SE for a 2015 Ford Fusion SE with 1.5L Ecoboost engine. Man, what an upgrade from the Focus to the Fusion! There is a major difference in acceleration and engine performance. The transmission shifted smoothly, unlike the shake and shudder of the Focus. I currently have only 2,300 miles in the Fusion, but have never owned a better vehicle (I've owned Ford, Honda, Chrysler, and Chevrolet). I'm averaging 26mpg in city driving, and am usually an aggressive driver. The interior is roomy, quiet, and inviting. Even with a rear-facing carseat behind me, I have plenty of room in the drivers seat. I highly recommend this car! Way to go, Ford!

I'm not a lead foot driver and 22MPG is my average. Note that I drive 70% on highway. It's my first ford and I'm terribly disappointed at their faulty advertisement. I got the full options thus it's a fun car to ride but I dont see myself keeping the car for a long time especially when as gas price goes back up to $4.

Bought my Fusion about 2 months ago and so far I am not happy with it. Biggest complaint is the gas mileage, according to the sticker was supposed to be 26 city and 35 highway well in city driving I am getting about 21.9 mpg and on the highway about 28....have talked to dealer about and they have no answers....very unhappy for what I paid for car and bad performance....

Just purchased a 2015 Fusion SE last weekend on a great deal! After a week, I absolutely love it. It is comfortable, the ride is smooth & quiet, and it is so much better than the 2012 Focus I traded. I got the 1.5L Ecoboost engine, and it is fantastic. I do mostly city driving on my daily commute, and am getting 26-28 mpg. Not bad...The only negative is the sound system. Perhaps I could do some tweaking on my end, but the sound is fairly weak compared to the 2008 Fusion I owned a few years ago. Overall, I highly recommend the Ford Fusion!

Purchased new just a few weeks ago and have less than 1,000 miles. First impression: Wow! What a great driving car that gets great fuel mileage. One of the other cars that I considered was the new Chrysler 200, which I rented for a 3 day trip this past weekend. Sooo glad I didn't buy the Chrysler. The Ford is so much nicer to drive; is more comfortable; and gets better fuel mileage. No buyers remorse here!
