I have a 2.7 ecoboost crew can 4x4 xlt with the 302a package. Everything you need and want. I am currently getting 22.8 high way, the truck really has balls, it's very quiet , handles pretty decent , better the. The 2011 that I previously had, not too cray about the auto start auto stop .truck is awesome, good on gas, fast, luxurious. Not sure about some of these negative ratings, must be some Chevy owners bashing the #1 selling truck in America , and there's a reason it's number 1. Love the truck.

Bought this in August of 15 only to find out that my brand newly redesigned state of the art aluminium truck s radio was old technology, bad call ford. This was a 43000 dollar truck yet it had a hard plastic dash and the armrest in the front doors were thinly padded while the ones in the back were hard plastic, the seats looked like they were made from potato sacks, this was an SLTmodel. Now let's get to the turbo 3.5L. first 2000 miles this thing was like a speed racer, then it started to have very delayed reactions to input from my foot, I broke it in properly, but after that it was downhill from there, it jerked and when it would finally spool up it would jerk your head back. But I also wanted to include this, when it rains you might as well forget having a conversation with whoever is seated next to you, it sound like a heard of elephants are trampling across that aluminum hood. When you walk in the back of the bed, it pops and cracks. The door alignment and body panels look like my first plastic model car I put together at the age of 6. I've always been a For, but after 10000 miles in 14 months I just have had enough. I am now driving a 2016 Nissan Titan XD Platinum Reserve, and it has everything on it, leather, navigation, around view cameras led lights and big V8, all for less than 55,000$, ford can't touch that deal at all.

Purchased a 2015 Ford F150 XL Ecoboost 4x4 Sport ten months ago. Within the first two months, on my way to work in the woods, every light on the panel lit up. Truck went into "limp mode". After taking over an hour to get home (I was only about 20 minutes away), I called roadside assistance and set up for a tow to the dealer. Tow truck came within an hour and off to the dealer we went. I was given a loaner and told, "we'll call you when we know what's wrong". Days pass and after no call from the dealer, I called them to see what was wrong with my new truck. They said, "Nothing, no lights came on". I got real upset because I knew they didn't even drive the truck. I asked how did they come to that conclusion? They said, "the computer shows no codes". Now I went off and told them I'll be right there and your service manager will go for a test drive with me. They said no, they'll take it out. Two hours later they called me to tell me my truck has a serious problem that it did in fact "code up" while being driven. They told me they needed to order a very hard to get part; a Throttle Body". A bit of history with Ford and the bad Throttle Body parts they use. In 2013, after numerous customer complaints, NHTSA went after Ford for their use of bad Throttle Body parts. In short, they did a "Customer Satisfaction Program" and replaced the defective Throttle body parts, and extended the warranty on the part. NHTSA NEVER made FORD do a formal recall even though thousands of cars and different models were affected. The "Customer Satisfaction Program" expired in November 2015, but guess what? Yup, Ford continues to use the defective parts in their new vehicles. My F150, my friend's Explorer, my other friend's Edge, all had Throttle Body failure soon after purchasing new vehicles. I wish I did this research before I bought the truck, but knew nothing about the Throttle Body issue to look into it. Now, month 10, the transmission is failing and fast. I stop at a light, give it gas to go and BANG followed by a jerk. Took it to the dealer, and since they couldn't get a "code", they said no problem. You are to drive it until it's dead and must be towed in. Not very reliable. Last weekend, Columbus Day, I took the loss and got rid of it. Traded it in and went back to my Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT 4x4 that never gave me a problem. NEVER, ever for Ford again.

The milage ratings are overstated. 19.5 mpg is the best it gets. The lightness of the aluminum body lends to instability, both in the wind and during towing, along with being easier to dent. I was a Ford person for most of my life (owned more than 10) but owned a Dodge and a Honda since my last one. After owning my current F150, I am reminded that poor quality and unreliability is why I switched and today's poor quality is why I shan't own another. There are just too many good vehicles made today to put up with Ford's petty and persistent failings. At less than 23,000 miles, the speedometer quit working. Cruise control same story. The Dodge had almost 200K miles and the Honda 268K and none of the chicken s#@+ things happened like this Ford has had. Uncomfortable and hard to maintain the cleanliness of the cab (the fabric stains easily) is also annoying. All in all, (as you can see) I am not happy with Ford.)

The base 6 cyl 2.7L turbo is very strong! I LOVE the Ford engines. I also have the new Navigator L 3.5L and it is very fast for such a huge dinosaur. The F-150 is currently getting 23 mpg combo which is outstanding. Considering its the base XL with no carpet and vinyl and just extended cab, I get a lot of compliments on its looks. Sync works well with my Iphone and I hooked up a portable sirrius/xm radio and the speakers are very good in the base version. For a cheap base truck, the fit and finish is outstanding. This a good family truck as my kids can load all the sports gear in the bed and fit adequately in the rear seats for medium to short trips. We will take our Navigator to Florida. Sounds like I am a Ford salesman but I must tell you that I have always purchased Toyota and Subaru but the Ford line is strong and reliable based upon consumer magazines and my friends. This base XL makes more sense than an SUV in most cases. Buy a loaded F150 and you are close to Navigator pricing. Look at the XL and learn to save some money with no one else noticing!

I came off a lifetime of chevys with two being trucks. The last silverado I owned (2003) the frame rusted out at 84,000 miles. Couldn't get it inspected. I don't know what happened. Same garage, roads, and care as my tahoe that had double the mileage and three years older but no problems. Anyway.... This vehicle is quiet, has nice ammenities in the interior. I tell people "It's like driving my living room." The fit and finish are very good. Mileage after 12,000 miles is consistently (calculated by hand) 20.5-21.5 mpg. When I pull my cargo trailer it drops to 12.5 but it's not the weight, it's the wind. The trailer is v-nosed but tall. The v8 is reliable and seems plenty powerful. The only issue is that when using cruise control on hilly areas it downshifts sort of hard to drop the speed. Then again I don't use cruise control much on hilly areas. I've driven it a lot around town and taken trips that put 5000 miles on it in a few short weeks. Great vehicle so far. I learned to hate my Silverado. I love this truck and so hope not to learn to hate it. Time will tell. BTW.. this one is getting a yearly dose of Krown undercoating.

Look, I love the truck and Ford I hope you log in and look at these reviews so that through constructive criticism comes updates and improvements. I love everything about the truck except the new key design and it is awkward to say the least. While in your pocket it will set the panic alarm off very often. I mean you lean one way or the other or up against something and the alarm goes off. Also, you cannot throw the key under the mat of the car if you want to lock it in and use the key pad on the drivers door to renter, or at least I don't know how to do that. My 2013 was a breeze, car alarm never set off, lock the key inside the truck and come back and enter code and you were good to go, new one (2015) much harder and cumbersome. Ford, you did more right than wrong and I love the truck! Just look over the new non-key design and improve, it's a bit awkward now.

After owning four F150's (2000, 2005, 2010, 2012), I tinkered with the idea of getting a GMC Sierra. I do like the way the GMC's look. I went to a local dealership and they let me drive a 2016 GMC Sierra SLT 5.3L around for the weekend. The first thing I noticed was a very sluggish feel to exceleration compared to my 2012 F150 5.0. Also, the interior had a cheap feel to it. I eventually passed on the Seirra and ended up back in an F150. It has the 3.5L ecoboost engine. Man, this thing is fast. Overall, I love the truck. Ford's just seem to be getting better and better. Glad I stayed with the F150.

My truck is 6 months old and has 10,800 miles. As in drove home from work during rush hour traffic the engine shut down and went into "limp mode" at 65 mph. There were 3 warnings icons: #1 Service Advancetrac, #2 Wrench Icon "see manual", #3 Hill start assist not available. Later the engine light came on. Ford Roadside towed the truck to the dealer, my research found 100 of complaints about is engine shutdown on Ecoboost engines. The engine will idle at 1000 rpm extremely rough, but pressing the gas pedal does nothing. Very dangerous when driving in heavy traffic, as all you can do is coast to a stop. Turning off the engine and restart did get the engine moving for another mile before it shut down again. Beware of this for your safety and your family. I also saw another review here with a similar issue, so it may not be insolated. *****UPDATE******* June 2016 Problem was the THROTTLE BODY. Dealer replaced under warranty.

This is my first time owning a Ford F-150 and I wish I would have gotten into a F-150 much sooner. I've owned both Chevy and Dodge over the years and can say without hesitation that the 2015 Ford F-150 is an awesome truck! It provides a very comfortable ride, while still giving the feeling of being in a truck. The 5.0L engine (same one that is in the Mustang) is powerful and enhances the ride with a nice throaty sound from the exhaust. I have used it towing a horse trailer. It is hard to remember that you have something attached to the truck, it tows that easily. In fact, my wife enjoyed driving the truck while towing the trailer, normally she avoids driving while towing. My truck comes with the 6 speed automatic that can be driven as a manual and includes both a Tow and Sport function. You know you are in Sport, with quicker shifts from the transmission and the increase horse power right out of first gear. The technology of the truck is amazing and can be a bit overwhelming, I have to refer back to the manual on occasion. However, I am using all of the features available on this truck, which provides so much convenience. An example is the tow settings that allow you to hook up a trailer and set the brake control, while it knows what type of trailer you have connected. You then can save the trailer settings and the truck will remember it each time you hook it up. I purchased this truck in Beaumont, TX at Kinsel Ford and drove it back 1200 miles, with my horse trailer, back to Wisconsin. It was a fantastic drive back without any issues. The dealership provided me with the best experience in buying my 2015 King Ranch overall and above any other vehicle I have purchased. I had to utilize their service department before leaving and they provided great customer service and speed in getting the issue taken care of.

The 2015 F-150 is plain out awesome. Ford engineers out did themselves with the redesign of this truck. From the aluminum body to the engine choices, this is one high tech machine. The 5.0L engine has brass ones compared to the 5.4 in my previous truck. It sounds sweet too! The interior is superior to any other truck out there. It's super comfy but also designed for the working person. No chintzy little buttons here. It's a work horse disguised as a luxury vehicle. I've always owned Ford trucks. I had my last F-150 for 14 years. No body rot or major issues when I traded it for the 2015. Actually the only reason I still don't have it is because I fell in love with the 2015 model and just had to have one. I have no doubt it will last me just as long...if not longer.

They aren't like the older F150s at all. At under 20,000s our new 2015 F150 has been a nightmare and not safe to drive either. Regardless of payload size, road conditions or other factors which would normally effect its handling, shifting, power train, etc the truck has been completely unreliable. It will frequently, without provocation, down or upshift causing dangerous situations in traffic. Ford says this was initially due to the system which tracks my driving habits and that it needed to be reset. Two months later after I completely lost all power on the highway they told me there was a short in the transmission writing harness. The problem has not stopped since that was replaced. They told me next that I was carrying too much weight (about 700 pounds) for the new 'consumer grade' trucks and it must have caused undue stress on the engine. I removed the weight and the problems persisted. The brakes have been unreliable, grabbing at certain intervals despite the mechanics insistence that they are in fine shape. Occasional rocks or mud will cause immense noise to persist from the brakes for days. The fuel saver auto start blew through the starter in under 6 months and now when it shuts off it occasionally refuses to restart. The sync and bluetooth systems are a mess and need to be restarted or reprogrammed on a frequent basis.

I purchased a F150 at the end of the year ( 2015 ) and got a great deal . About two weeks ago my truck was going 45 mph and then locked up and would go no faster then 10 mph . I turned it off and everything seem to be ok for a couple of weeks . Then it happened again and I was almost re ended . I had to drive all the way home at 10 mph . The truck lurches back and forth with the truck screen say Service Advance Traq . This truck is dangerous . It is currently at the dealer and they have determine that the throttle assembly is broken . I think it is many other problems . This is all computer related . The part is on back order ,,,, whatever that means . After the first month the truck started making engine noise and is very weak with not much pickup . The rpms rev up and the truck hardly moves . The A/C is lousy as well , It doesn't seem to work all the time . Back doors are also annoying to open and close . I had a Tundra for 8 years and I needed to get a new truck for my business . I replaced the A/C fan , tires and brakes and that 's it . I had 140,000 miles on it . I needed something reliable , this Ford is a huge mistake . I paid 38k for this pile of junk . It lasted a whole 6000 miles . I'm currently in a rental Ford Escape , I'm so upset .

First off I have the 3.5 and while I never bought a truck to get good gas mileage, it is a good thing. I am not heavy footed at all, and only get 13-14 mpg around town and about 18 on hwy. Funny when I first got it I got about 22-23 on the why but after a few thousand miles that dropped, and the truck still only has 5k miles on it. With that said, very comfortable truck, and seems like much more room inside than in the Ram 1500. Not a big fan of the fan switch location as you have to reach around the shifter to get to it and it is a small switch at the bottom of the console, either a different location ( like the steering wheel) or a knob like climate control would have been nice. On the shifter, there is no off-set when dropping into D before going into manual gears. On a couple of occasions I have just dropped the truck into gear and slowly pulled out of the drive and onto a side street only to find when I step on it getting onto a busy road I am not in Drive but in a lower gear and hear the engine rev. Would like to see an offset to go lower than drive so one cannot do it accidentally. Like I said, the comments are very picky as the truck is very nice.

Tried all major brands of 1/2 ton trucks. Ford is annoyingly quiet, VERY quick, and as comfortable as your favorite chair. I'm 6'3" and back seat has more room than many midsized car front seats. Have had truck for 8-months. It has been in the shop for a couple of weeks. Seems the transmission pump for the Auto on/off feature was faulty. Dealership had a problem finding/fixing issue. Also, hit a deer. People concerned about the aluminum body, it stood up just fine. Deer broke out grill, and bumper. Truck didn't crumple like a soda can as many feared.

It is my work truck. Reg cab has little room to store much. Center seat folds down which makes a nice armrest with cup holders. 3.5 NA V6 seems to be a sleepy little engine but north of 3,000 rpm , it " wakes up " and takes off. It actually performs quite well, I can only guess the turbo models are real screamers. The truck has already started making some creaking noises ( I also read this on another forum). Mileage hasn't been great. Maybe 16 around town if I baby it and on the highway, 23.5 was my best. Had two occasions where it all but shut down. Low speed , wouldn't idle over 1,000 rpm and all kinds of warning lights. They ended up replacing the throttle body. Has been fine since. Have hit 26 mpg on a long trip but usually end up in the 21 mpg range for shorter trips. Around town mileage is usually around 14. Have not had any reason to use the 4x4 system yet. The Leer cap ( not Fords problem) has had some fit and finish issues. Had to glue some things back on.

Having worked at a dealership I have spent more time than the general consumer getting to know and test every square inch of these new pickups and as long as you get the right engine for what you need and get all of the features you want, you will fall in love with this truck more and more everyday you drive it. Having the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost was the right choice for me in that when I pull anything it's a small camper or boat, which with 7600lbs towing capacity it more than gets the job done. The same engineers who created the new 6.7L Powerstroke motor in 2011 are the same engineers who created this 2.7L Ecoboost motor, with a CGI block and diesel inspired pistons, you can really feel how amazing this motor is and still gets great gas mileage. I've had many farmers and ranchers ride in my pickup who drive every brand of truck out there and are all diesel heads and are amazed by what this pick up can do. Contrary to popular belief, the aluminum is better than steel in every way, from being safer for everybody inside, to being more dent resistant with the inability to rust. No matter what they try to say as well, Ford has done a ton of work to make sure that its not more expensive to get fixed than the old style. For example the front quarter panels are the exact same cost to replace in aluminum as they were in steel. When you get below the surface down the the frame and everything else, their isn't a pick up out there that can even come close. No body has a stronger frame or a better designed body to protect everything. Example being that chevy has absolutely nothing protecting the engine compartment and Ford has more protection not only in the front of the truck but everywhere else around it as well. Talking to any Ford dealerships truck expert can show you every little advantage down to the bed bolts instead of the welds like other trucks. Having owned and driven the other competitors and spent the equivalent of weeks studying all trucks from top to bottom, their isn't a better truck that you can buy. When you're spending the extra money on a Ford, it's not just for the name, its for the quality inside and out that no other truck can compare to.
2015 re-design is superb! Platinum runs and handles fantastic! The interior quality and layout is very user friendly, very comfortable! The exterior is solid and flawless, ride and handling is superior to any truck and most cars I have owned or driven. I highly recommend this truck to anyone who is thinking about a new or pre-owned purchase!!

Every few years my boss will replace my company truck with a new one. He is a die hard Ford fan going all the way back to something GM did to him back in the 70's. Because of that I have gone through the last 3 generations of the F150 (2003, 2010 and now the 2015). My job requires a truck, but it doesn't require me to use it to haul much very often. About once or twice a month I will move product around in excess of 1000-1200 lbs and maybe as much as 4000 lbs including a trailer. My first trip with a load was with 1200 miles on the odometer. It was a personal trip from KC to Ohio to pick up a car I purchased. It was an old Monte Carlo (3300lbs) and I used a dolly to pull it back. 99% of the trip was across I70. Within just a few miles of picking up the car I got my first scare. I was on a two lane going about 50-55 mph and came around a gentle right hand corner with a group of trees blocking my view all the way through the corner. Part way through I realized there was a raised RR track coming up and I needed to slow down. I probably had a half mile but was taking it pretty easy getting used to the feel of the car and dolly behind me. I applied the brake to start slowing up the truck while still coming around the corner slightly. The truck felt like the back tires came of the ground! It pushed over to the left as if I was on a patch of ice. My first thought was that I made a big miscalculation and the car was to heavy for the truck. The tow capacity for my truck is supposed to be 7600 lbs as optioned though. The hole trip home was a bit nerve racking. I got used to the trucks response to the weight behind it and figured out that the biggest issue was turning. The rear suspension is so soft that any side load pushes the truck in a manner that would make you think you have two flat tires on the back. It a straight line, it feels much better, although still very soft. I was not filled with confidence and conceded to the fact that I was going to be making a slow trip home in the right lane with the cruise set at 60-65 mph max. It was very slow going anytime I came into a city or road construction. I had to make sure to give myself plenty of room so as not to need to make any emergency maneuvers as I was positive the truck would not tolerate it. I ended that trip wondering if it was the car, the trailer, or something else that caused the truck to be so squirrelly. Since then I've used the truck a few time with and without a trailer to move different size loads round KC for work. On one occasion I had a new Honda Rubicon fourwheeler in the back. What I've learned is that anything over 300, maybe 400 pounds depending on how it's loaded in the bed of the truck, and about 1200 lbs trailer weight turns the truck into a big mush box. It is always fine in a straight line, but feels like it wants to slide out or tip over if you go around a corner that gets a little tight on the highway. My feeling is that FORD has worked so hard to make the F150 a comfortable daily driver that they have gotten to far away from the truck actually being a safe truck to use for work. The suspension is tuned to be soft and that makes it weak when you put a load on it. The ecoboost engine (2.7) that I have is very strong and responsive if you call on it to provide that. I was supposed to get something like 18-19 mpg overall. Not even close. The Ford gauge likes to tell me I'm getting 17, but it is incorrect. If you calculate the mileage, you typically get between 1 and 1.5 mpg less then the gauge states. My current overall average of mixed driving is 16.3. If you really work hard at it, and I mean work hard, you can squeeze out 18mg out of a tank. The aluminum body is noisy. The roof makes all sorts of noise in the wind on the hwy. Sounds like a metal HVAC duct popping as it heats up when your heater turns on in the winter. Except it isn't one pop, its multiples. And at around 10k miles on the truck, the bed starting making a popping sound when I drive over and uneven surface such as pulling in or out of my drive. The F150 is no longer a worthwhile truck in my opinion. It's loaded with neat features and the cab is comfortable. There are more electronics then every before that I am concerned about based off of previous experience (Ford electronics seem to have a short life expectancy for some reason). The cost of this truck compared to others was quite high. Insurance cost went up about 25% because of the aluminum body. If I was making the decision and it was my money, the truck that replaces this one will not be a Ford.

I bought the Platinum with 702a package, moon roof, FX4, tow and 3.5 Eco Boost engine (not offered as an option by the Edmunds interface when writing this review). When shopping for a car, I was quite flexible. I was primarily thinking about a Toyota Highlander, but was open to a larger SUV or truck. I test drove the Highlander, which was good, but I also test drove a Sequoia to see if it blew me away, and worth spending the extra, but I was actually quite disappointed with little space it had inside, for what it was, and very poor visibility. I then test drove the F150, and it really did blow me away! So much so that I bought it that day. It is so comfortable and effortless to drive, with a commanding driving position and lots of power that is smooth and tame in city driving, but transitions easily to beast mode when desired. It has a feature list that is only present in SUV's costing way more than this. I love the massaging seats, the 360 camera, powered running boards, huge moon roof, adaptive cruise control and too many other features to list here. Not everything is great. The navigation is completely insane, taking routes that make no sense whatsoever. An example of the wackiness is when I tested it on my usual route to work. Basically this is 20 miles on a straight freeway, then about a quarter mile trip on side streets to the office, but the navigation wanted me to come off the highway about 10 miles early, into what would definitely be a longer route, and into heavily congested side streets. I really am not looking forward to the first time I need to rely on it. Also, a little niggle is that when you are driving on a straight stretch of road, a warning comes up telling me to 'keep your hands on the steering wheel', even though my hands have never left go of it. Nevertheless, I love this truck.

I have owned three F150s and my 2015 is the best. After 22 thousand miles in all kinds of conditions my truck has not disappointed me. Not once. The handling, comfort, and fuel economy remain excellent. I will repeat what I said in my first review. Ford simply knows how to build pickups. I doubt I will ever drive anything other than a Ford F-150 unless it is a F-250.

The truck has the base 3.5L V-6 and the acceleration is quite good and overall fuel economy is 20-21 mpg! It is the XL trim level with manual windows and locks. For vinyl seats they are very comfortable. The power steering gives a good feel of the road and the brakes are awesome. I love the telescoping/tilt steering wheel, great idea. I like the blind spot side view mirrors, they are quite nice! The rear seats are roomy enough but nowhere near the crew cab. Plenty of room for groceries and moderate size items. The gauge cluster is useful and easy to read.

Bought a new 2015 XLT 2.7 ecoboost for a great deal. 42250 MSRP and with 7K discount and 7K rebate paid 28K for this truck! First new vehicle in 27 years. Unfortunately it spent 33 days in the shop out of the first 90 days of owning it. It shut the engine off while driving 3 times. Now after 3 repairs attempts it shifts irregularly now and then. Great design and most have no issues but this one was just not one of those without problems. Highway mileage is awesome, acceleration if really great. Roominess cant be beat and the camera spoils you. I did not like the 8 inch screen that only uses 2 of the 4 boxes if you don't have navigation and climate control, kind of a waste. Ford bought my truck back after the CA lemon lawyer took care of handling it. Decided to stay with used vs new.

Great truck with a peppy efficient engine, the 2.7L engine is surprisingly powerful and extremely quick off the line, I love the engine on this truck! I average a little over 21 MPG with mixed freeway and around town driving conditions. I have tried to be excessively light on the accelerator but have not even close to the advertised 23-24 MPG, they must have done the MPG testing where there are no hills, wind, and on any engine that was well broken in. Overall though I really like the truck. The one thing that could use improvement is the instruments. Climate control could have a digital read out ( ex. 72) versus hotter/colder. Browsing on the radio ( Sirius in particular) is a little clumsy. The dash seems to have a lot of unnecessary buttons. My biggest complaint is the autostart button, just plain annoying and screams replacement starter in 2 years. To have and turn it off every time you start the truck is silly, they should have a permanent off option. Overall pretty small complaints for for what has been a great truck. 7/25/2016- had to get the door handle replaced, it literally just fell off. Ford was quick to replace at no cost. Very happy with the way they handled it. Considered selling for better MPG vehicle with new job change, but I am completely upside down. The truck is worth considerably less than I paid for it, definitely does not hold value like my Toyota did. If you buy this truck be prepared to keep it since value tanks very quickly.

After looking and researching for a new full size pick up, we came decided on the 2015 ford lariat supercrew. This truck is a beast, and drives like a car. The ecoboost is surreal and when in sport mode it allows you to feel like your driving a muscle car. The Lariat does not disappoint...!

A brief summary: a great looking truck with a lot of technology (that sadly doesn't work) Almost fully loaded Lariat. Performance: Acceleration and braking are average; acceleration being modest except when put into Sport mode. Road holding and steering are quite good for a truck. Shifting is sometimes abrupt and not always intuitive (has failed to shift multiple times) Comfort: Road noise reduction is excellent (3.5L Twin Turbo is quiet and tires are exceptionally quiet). Aside from that, seat comfort is average, though not suitable for long drives. Interior: Lots of room for movement. Lots of storage everywhere. The rear cab is obscenely large, much to the joy of passengers. The logic of controls is poor; there are duplicates of buttons, some of which also have soft keys on the display. There is also no need for 6 buttons to operate the cruise control. Safety Features: Incredibly bright headlights (LEDs), the blind spot monitoring system works very well, and the truck itself does not have terrible blind spots. The traction is sub-par in weather (snow/ice/rain) and gets squirrelly easily (even with 4WD/AWD) Tech: All seems about average. The voice commands load quickly, only minor issues are with the entertainment center; radio occasionally cuts out and the sub-woofer audio package is incredibly underwhelming, along with trouble connecting to devices. All sections of Reliability were given a 1 star, as nothing has been reliable. I have spent more time than I would care to admit driving a loaner Focus, and found that to be incredibly reliable. Repair frequency has been more the 2x a month. Dealership support has been decent, though most issues are unable to be resolved or the dealer simply resets the computer (which does not solve anything other than clearing codes). Engine is incredibly unreliable. It stalls, it doesn't start (often) and it lies about it's fuel mileage. Transmission can shift worse than I did when I was learning to drive a Semi. Technicians have said the transmission "learns," but I would say it is "learning" the wrong way (getting worse). Electronics have literally shut off while the engine was running. This included power breaks and steering. Ford said it was nothing to be concerned about. Currently has spent 53 days in repair since purchase for anything from minor defects (radio cutting out, AC on seat getting hot and melting, etc) to completely unacceptable defects (engine stalls/dies while driving or idle-ing, ALL electronics TURN OFF while truck is on, etc). Obviously a lemon, but not according to Ford, which has been very un-helpful concerning their responsibility to consumers, State and Federal laws (yes, lawyers are involved). All in all, 1/10 never buying a Ford again. (1 is for looks)

I bought a Lariat almost fully loaded; FX4 package, 4x4, LED headlights, Heavy Tow Package, deployable running boards (love that feature), box side steps (handy), tail gate step, and all the LED lights around the perimeter of the truck (have helped me a great deal when working at night.) I came from a BMW 530i Sport, so I actually enjoy the stiffer suspension. The only reason I would say it's a little too stiff is the rear end can jump over large bumps. If you tow or load the bed then the suspension works perfect. I have towed 5500 lbs and the truck can pull like a train you won't even know you have a load being towed. I bought the truck because I am starting a new business and can't afford the time to go to a repair shop even if it's warrantied. In the first 2000 miles: the 1. Driver side mirror shakes above 45 MPH, the glass jiggles in the wind while the passenger side is firm. 2. Started hearing a bearing noise from the front end and getting vibrations. 3. Transmission slams into 1st gear, almost feels like the car behind bumped you. 4. Passenger side deployable running board makes a whining noise, driver side does not make the same noise. Took to the dealer. Dealer replaced driver hub bearing, and 4x4 actuator. LESS THAN 5000 miles. Re-program transmission computer, transmission shifts better, but still bumps intermittent. All other complaints were said to be normal, LOL, even when one side does not have a shaky mirror and one side the deployable running board is smooth quiet. This is what you will be dealing with if you buy one of these seducing trucks. Fuel mileage is poor, 16.3MPG driving like a gentle giant. Highway mileage is 25MPG cruising steady below 60MPH, if you drive above 65MPH you will average 16-18 MPG, at least I do in my truck. I do not have confidence in reliability long term. I am also tired of lazy warranty techs saying everything is OK, when it is not OK. If you love pigs with lipstick then this is the truck for you!

Where do I start. Truck started out brand new and the heat and ac didn't work. 3 weeks later waiting for the part to come from China, it worked. Second the doors don't close right. Don't try to slam it shut it won't close. Third the seat doesn't adjust up or down and being 6ft 1 my knees hit the steering wheel. Fourth the truck comes with 2 ac plug outlets. Well they are useless unless you want to charge your phone. They won't charge my drill batteries at all. It over loads it and just blinks yellow. Why do I have 2 plugs if one cannot handle a 12v 3 amp battery. 5th the truck take 20-25 minutes to actually put out hot air in 20 degree temps, really? 6th the radio signal is week, the radio stations I listen to in my personal vechile which is a chevy work fine. The range on this pos is short. All in all this truck if you want to call it that... Ford went real real real cheap on this heap of junk. If your not delivering flowers this truck is not for you.

It has a lot of torque and it goes when you put your foot down. I am still learning a lot of tech options. The first few fill ups have been averaging 17-18 mpg which I think is great for a 5 liter V8. The supercab is comfortable for four people. We have had five for short trips without an issue. We went for the supercab so the truck would fit in the garage with a 6.5' box. So far I am very happy with our decision to buy this truck.

Traded a 2013 Toyota Highlander. First full size pickup I've owned. The F150 has a smoother ride, is quieter on the road, is much peppier and gets better gas mileage than the Highlander. It's a solid, well built truck with plenty of interior room. Puts SUV's to shame.

I have been driving Toyotas for years, four Tundras,the last a 13 platinum great trucks terrible gas mileage, also briefly owned a 2016 limited tacoma terrible truck to drive,comfort,power,drive train,ect..I took a leap of faith and looked at other brands, I test drove a Ram Laramie great truck but was concerned about reliability,drove the new chevy high country with the 6.2 8spd great truck also but a little to square for my taste,and the ride was a little stiff,then I test drove the 15 f150 platinum with the 5.0 the ride was as good as the ram I believed,and maybe even more quite it was getting better mpg than tha 16 tacoma averaged 21.7 driving a 300 mile round trip at 71 mph 6-7 miles per better than the tundra,and a little better than the tacoma I really like everything about this truck if it is as dependable as the Tundras have been then I guess the 16 tacoma could be my last toyota purchase

I grew up driving a Chevy heavy-half ton and used to tease Ford owners. But I'm an adult and decided to buy the best truck regardless of it's badge. I have never seen a pickup truck amaze people like this does. I'm averaging 21 mpg, my best tank was 23 so far. I do drive it easy, maybe 70% highway but I get into traffic and live in hilly Western PA. The fuel economy is impressive, but this thing has a lot of power, especially out of the gate. My friend was not happy when I bested his GMC v8 two weeks ago. If the aluminium, turbos and auto-start/stop don't impact reliability too much, then this truck has made all the others obsolete. Only time will tell, though I trusted that Ford engineers would do their homework cause their betting the company on it.
My 4th Ford , the BEST one yet
I bought a month ago, 3.5 L twin turbo Ecoboost engine is a beast. We bought with alot of dealer incentives, and walked out with almost 12k in discounts. I am inpressed so far and will come back and write a longevity review when I have put her through the tests and trials of real life. I only have 800 miles now, so not a super true review of longevity. I will return in a couple years to give an update.
Best Pickup Truck Out There F150 XLT Supercrew 4x4
First of all: this is a great truck. Ford's engineers did a sensational job of designing, detailing, specifying and overseeing construction of the 2015 F150 Supercrew 4x4. Bill Ford Jr. should be proud. He previously sent me a personal note of thanks back in 2009, when I ordered a 2010 King Ranch built custom for me. Nice guy. I get the feeling he takes great pride in his family's business. It shows in this truck, the latest incarnation of the 38-year run of America's most popular vehicle: the F150. We didn't get the King Ranch this time (although I would have like to). We settled on what appears to be Ford's "sweet spot" of F150s: the XLT level. Why: we got the 302A package, which includes a very nice assortment of goodies to make just about anyone smile: 8" productivity screen (Ford's website is wrong: it says 4.2", but I just measured it), including Sirius & Synch, trailer hitch, power exterior mirror adjustment, auto-dimming rearview mirrors (that's wonderful), leather steering wheel, power adjusting pedals, tilt-telescoping steering wheel, rearview camera, under sear rear storage, remote start (which is nice on a snow/ice morning, or if you'd like your dog to stay comfortable when you are inside a store), 10-way power&heated front seats with lumbar, reverse sonar, 110v/400W outlet on dash, power rear window, LED box lighting, 18" chrome wheels, chrome grille, OWL AT tires, chrome door handles, chrome front tow hooks, chrome step bars, chrome exhaust tip. Also included are: defrost in front and rear windshields, that activates when you remote start (just did this from a hotel room with snow and ice outside, so that was very convenient). Ours has the trailer tow package with built-in 7/4 pin wiring ports with flip covers, auxiliary transmission oil cooler, engine oil cooler, integrated trailer brake control on the dash, upgraded front stabilizer bar. Power equipment group is included: auto on/off headlamps with headlights that turn on when you turn on the windshield wipers, daytime running lamps (you must set lights to A for Automatic), drivers side entry combo lock on exterior, perimeter alarm, power locks and windows, remote lock integrated key transmitter, including power tailgate locking, boxlink (various cleats in the cargo bed for lashing loads down), fog lamps, . We also are adding the foldable pickup box box extender gate: cheap at $250. Turns your shortbed into a "Transformer" for longer cargo. And we have the Twin panel moonroof (very cool: about 75% of your roof becomes a "skyroof" and gives you all the benefits of a convertible without the negatives. Unprecedented luxury in a mid-range luxury truck). All that, and with $4,750 worth of rebates and incentives at the Mansfield, Ohio Graham AutoMall, and with a great trade-in value on our trade. This F150 XLT package in a very good value for a full-size comfortable truck that will make anyone smile, every time you drive it. I actually think I like it even more than my previous 2010 King Ranch (even thought leather isn't a factory option). And let's face it: if you really want leather, you can have your local dealer add that for about $1,200. But the 302A XLT with the skyroof is going to hit that sweet spot for many Americans looking for that particular level of value and luxury: a lot of bang for your buck. I think I'll probably be keeping this one a long time. Handling: make no mistake: this is a big truck. It appears that you are in a semi-tractor when you first sit in the cab. Kind of intimidating and exciting at the same time, realizing that you are going to be driving this beast. The handling is very responsive, with the little bit of body roll, but not as much as you might think with this full sized vehicle. Power: outstanding. I really wanted the 2.7L V6 ecoboost, but the dealer couldn't find one with the dual sunroof. So I have the 3.5LV6 ecoboost, which can lay you back in your seat if you have the guts to put your foot down. But be careful, you'll be going way too fast in only a second or two. No reason for the V8, unless you're going to be hauling horse trailers or houseboats. Luxury: unprecedented in a mid-range model of a full-sized truck. That optional Twin Moon Roof should have been called a "SkyRoof" because about 75% of your roof is glass. It's like driving in a penthouse apartment with a huge skylight. Even though you can't order an XLT with leather, you could always add that through your dealer for about another $1,200 if you really want to do that. Controls are sophisticated but easy to understand and operate. Haven't yet tried the Synch, but I've been told it's not hard. Fabric seats are okay in appearance and very comfortable. I think Ford could probably have their interior cabin team do some thinking about this fabric and make it even more interesting, but it is what it is: fabric. So buy leather if you want it. Mileage: we got about 20mpg on the highway with our 3.5LV6 ecoboost.

I actually have an XLT Supercrew 2.7L Ecoboost FX4. Love the quiet ride, smooth and powerful acceleration from the 2.7L Ecoboost and the interior is pleasing. The FX4 package definitely has a stiffer busy ride on an empty bed - would have preferred regular 4X4 but they only had FX4s in the configuration I was looking for. Although still in break in phase, fuel economy is disappointing so far - averaging about 16.2 mpg on very gentle mixed driving. Read the Edmunds review on the fuel economy on the 2.7L which they have found to be well short of the EPA rating. I think it ends up being maybe 1 mpg better than the V8. Given the negligible price difference between the 2.7 V6 vs the V8, I would have purchased the V8 instead had I know about the poor real world fuel economy. Also, when just purchased, I already noticed surface rust on the rear differential housing and a couple of other small areas. Worried about how well the rust issue will hold up in the long tem.
