I bought my pathfinder new in a summer month of 2014 with all of the bells and whistles! It is as good looking as an SUV can be, handles well, hauls a lot, has a lot of handy places to put "stuff"and has been as good of a luxury utility vehicle as I could have expected. My only complaints are the heated seats are air and not electric which is the case with all Nissans I believe...so that's not really even a compliant, just a spoiled driver...and I cannot see well when making turns-I have to lean so I can see around the, (I don't know what to call it, the structure that is attached to the windshield, the roof, the main car body, and the front windows...I'm going to call this the arms for now) arms. All in all, a good all around vehicle, especially while I have children to lug around to a million activities!

People need to know that I bought this brand knew ,and from day one is smelled of antifreeze and was loosing it also ,in the 11 months I had it ,It was in the shop more than home ,and the dealership couldn't fix it ,so me and dealer called Nissan and made more than one claim of this problem . Nissan said that it was normal for some of the pathfnders to smell and use coolant ,But when it was in the shop ,I was given several different Nissan to drive and they all had same motor and no smell ,Nissan is junk please beware , they don't stand behind there stuff!!!! Replaced our 2013 Avalanche LTZ, this Pathfinder Platinum Premium had all of the premium features you can expect in a luxury ride. After owning this for two years we have had virtually no issues, aside from a programming issue with the auto tailgate. Only problem now is the resale value is lacking. $45k sticker, paid $41k out the door at two years the dealer offered us $29k trade in.

Do not buy a Nissan with a CVT transmission. It is garbage. My new Pathfinder left us stranded on the road and stalled in traffic multiple times before and after replacing the transmission. Yes, replacing the transmission. The transmission was replaced just a few months into my ownership. The vehicle was purchased new. Do not buy this garbage. There is no support from Nissan for what is an obvious epidemic with their CVT. Do some googles searches on it if you are considering buying and you will come to the same conclusion.

I bought this car in anticipation of a cross country road trip for my family last night - Atlanta to Los Angeles - in order to travel to see my father after he required emergency brain surgery. Platinum series, fully loaded, only 25k miles, but $35,000 worth of heartache. Roughly 120 miles into our trip, the car began shuttering at low speeds. When we stopped to refuel 400 miles into our trip, the transmission wouldn't engage when my husband put the car in "Drive." After repeated attempts he finally got the transmission to engage and we were able to "limp it" to the nearest Auto Nation dealer and sit and wait 4 hours for them to open. However, because it is Sunday, the service department is closed. The Atlanta location offered to reimburse me for either a modest (not comparable) rental or a hotel while we wait for an indefinite period of time for our vehicle to be looked at and a determination to be made from there - a kind gesture but hardly the consideration I'd expect given the circumstances and the capabilities of a multimillion dollar netting corporation. After an unexpected 9 hour delay in Memphis (with an 11, 6, 5 year old and 2 month old) we are now back on the road in a rental vehicle that I had to incur the upfront out of pocket cost for (with no idea of when/if a reimbursement will actually occur in addition to the $4k I have the dealership for a down payment). I will also have to modify my trip to be by my father's side in order to coordinate the issue of driving back to Memphis to retrieve my vehicle (which I no longer want) and return the rental vehicle during the company's business hours. All of this is a nightmare in addition to the nightmare that I am already dealing with. As a consumer (and previous Nissan owner) I just expected better. Polite but unhelpful (especially when Nissan is already clearly aware of the issue after reading endless consumer reviews which highlight a week established history of an issue requiring a recall or buyer warning) is not only immoral, but also shameful. My excitement of purchasing my Roadster this summer after so many years of pining for it has now gone out the window. I'll never buy another Nissan and I will caution anyone who will listen to me to avoid doing the same for as long as I have breath and the faculties to communicate. I'm both devastated and disheartened and at less than 24 hours into my purchase, the issue is likely only beginning...

Bought my 2015 PF in Nov 2014, Have various problems including needed new driver seat leather was bad. But the real trouble started at 15k about 9 months into my ownership of this brand new vehicle, started shuddering real bad needed new cvt. Than fast forward a few months and 5k and the cvt is doing the same thing shuddering so I am needing a new cvt again. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle to anyone Nissan has to fix this issue as I am sure that lots and lots of people are having these issue's.

I purchased my 2014 Nissan Pathfinder SL, 4WD, in June 2014 for my wife who drives it on a daily basis. On November 25, 2015, "I borrowed" the Pathfinder from my wife and while driving it, I noticed the vehicle started shuddering. At first I thought I went over a few potholes or a rough patch in the road. It was definitely noticeable, but I didn't know what it was, or think anything of it. Then it happened again on a perfectly good road and I wasn't going fast. That's when I started paying attention. Well, it happened again. I was driving under 20-MPH at about 1000 RPM...That seemed to be the sweet/sour spot. I was able to replicate the problem a few times on the November 25th. There is no telling how long the vehicle has been doing this, because my wife could drive over a cow and not notice the violent bump. At 27,000 miles, my brand new 2014 Nissan Pathfinder was having transmission problems. WHAT!!! REALLY!!! I drive a 2005 Lexus IS 300 with 128,000 miles and it purrs like a kitten (I love my Toyota). I started researching and looking at different reviews. I pulled the Consumer Report and I even called my friend who bought her 2014 Nissan Pathfinder SV a few months after, me only to find out she already replaced her transmission at 19,000 miles, but started having problems around 3,500 miles. It took her that long to get a replacement, because the dealership kept giving her the run around. They told her "there is nothing they can do about it." To make matters worse, she is now trying to get her transmission replaced again at 22,900 miles, from the same Nissan Service Center. You've got to be kidding me!!! Well, my Pathfinder is currently at Suntrup Nissan, St. Louis, MO and we will see what they say. Note to everyone reading this, keep a record of everything from start to finish and get everything in writing. If they call you, send an email memorializing the conversation. Update to follow.

The local service dept and Nisan consumer affairs told me the juddering is "normal" and that the car does that when the driver has a "light foot" (for better fuel economy they say - which makes no sense). So basically they are telling me that to make the juddeing stop I need to mash on the gas when I accelerate from a complete stop like I want to race the guy next to me. That sounds legit. What about the thumping it makes when at a stop sign / light? Oh yea that's normal too. --- UPDATE: nothing has changed or been resolved. Nissan consumer affairs told me I need to take it back in to have it reevaluated since its been over 3 months since it had been to the service department. Mind you, that was 1 week after I picked it up from the service department. Looks like I'm stuck with a lemon.

Here we go again!! In October of 2013 I purchased a brand new 2014 Nissan Pathfinder from Michael Jordan Nissan in Durham, NC. At 2000 miles the transmission did the shutter thing and the transmission was replaced by Michael Jordan service department. Case #15450446 was opened up by Nissan Corporation (useless individuals). I wanted my $32,000 back or a brand new Pathfinder. Corporation would not budge one bit other than upping my warranty on the transmission to 100,000 miles. Still was extremely mad because who wants a brand new car with transmission taken out already at 2000 miles. No way I could sell it! Well guess what, at 18000 miles that transmission went out and this time my wife barely made it to Michael Jordan Nissan without it breaking (making all kinds of noise) down on her. Still corporation would not budge one bit! Service department replaced transmission again and wife was always scared to drive it far on a trip because she was afraid it would break down on her. Well guess what, at 46000 miles that transmission is in Michael Jordan service department right now getting replaced. I’ll be on my 4th transmission at only 46000 miles on car. Case# 20757949 is now opened up and I’m waiting on a response back from them. They better give me my money back or a brand new 2016 Pathfinder. If not, then it might be time to start seeking for a lawyer.

It true to transmission .

Typically I only read reviews when I'm getting ready to buy something, but I decided to see what others thought of their Pathfinder. I was very disappointed to see how many negative reviews there are as my experience with the 2014 Pathfinder has been very different from most of the reviews. My Pathfinder was purchased brand new and in the ~18 months I've had it, there have been very few issues. A couple months after owning it the fuel started cutting out at slow speeds and going up hills - took it to the dealership and they fixed the issue as it was an upcoming recall. Since, I have not had any other issues like that. The only other issue I experience was condensation build up on the inside of the front window. The dealership said there was no way to fix it and it doesn't happen consistently enough to understand what is causing the issue. Maybe the difference in my experience and others is care of the vehicle? I never miss oil changes or regular services and don't abuse it while driving. There are minor things that I would change about the Pathfinder, but it's due more to my preference than it is a function failure. I don't like that there is a gap between the second and third row seats when laid flat; it's dangerous for my dogs so we put a run over it to avoid their paws falling in and hurting themselves. I wish I could get factory installed heated front seats with cloth interior. The cloth interior seems to be wearing quicker than I expected a new vehicle to, it's easy to tell where the most used seats are in the car! Speaking of cloth fabric, it would be great if there was a cloth in vehicles that did not absorb dog hair as much...even when I take a lint roller and vacuum to the seats it's still hard to get all the dog hair out. Again, these are all minor preferences. As for performance and functionality, I have been extremely pleased with my Nissan Pathfinder.

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum in 2013 and from day 2 I had a severe transmission shuddering and I had to go to the dealership many many many times before they could record the issue on their mobile computer. They changed the transmission but I am having the same exact issue with the second transmission... Unbelievable! I will never buy a Nissan again and I told all the people I know about it. Shame on you Nissan!!!! update: 03/10/16 I am still having the same issue even aftre they replaced what they called the "Body valve" 2 weeks ago.....

I just traded my 2015 Rogue for a 2015 Pathfinder because I was wanting more space and towing capabilities. After only owning the Pathfinder for a week I began to experience a Shudder or Judder at low speeds while accelerating at 25 mph. I also began to have a severe shudder when decelerating down hills or on inclines while off the accelerator or braking. It has had a computer "reprogram" and is still experiencing the problem. I am waiting for the Dealership to get more information from the NISSAN Regional tech to provide them with the next step to correct the issue. I am not very optimistic that it will be cured. I have heard of this issue with the CVT but had no issues with my Rogue so figured they had corrected it as NISSAN had claimed. I am having great remorse and now feel that I just as well had thrown my money away because I will never get a return on this vehicle between the time in the shop and the loss of value for its issues. Needless to say this may be the last NISSAN I ever buy..

the paint seems a little poor/thin. The car itself, design, size, all excellent. I love this car compared to old older boxy 2011 pathfinder. My front wheel bearings went and my front tire premature wear. Other wise if you travel need room or have a business that needs to haul this baby can haul from behind/trailer and you can fit an entire sheet of drywall side to side. Wont find that on any current SUV models similar to Pathfinder. I do wish for taller people they would make the rear gate door go up higher I keep hitting my head on it but not as bad as the 2011 pathfinder box type. Maybe raise the rear door height 5 more inches. Was getting only 17.4 MPG but after wheel bearing repair it rose to 22.9MPG

One month after I bought this brand new, the car would not start in my driveway and had to be towed to the dealer. We were going on a road trip and had to cancel. Had to bring in the vehicle several times to the dealer for recall issues. Today, I took it to the dealer for 20,000 miles service before leaving for another road trip. Vehicle was found to have a major transmission problem and had to be in the dealership for more than a week. Dealer gave us a small rental car, which makes me feel queasy for a long road trip. I wish I had bought a Toyota or Honda instead. Once I get back the vehicle I will trade it in for a Toyota but I will be out by several thousands of dollars. I will never buy a Nissan again!

We fell in love with this vehicle! Bought it in May of 2015. Ours is a 2014 Pathfinder Platinum. Have only had it 3 months with a little over 7,000 miles and the transmission needs replaced. I have had 2 Altmas before this one with no problems so needless to say I am very disappointed. Been reading all the comments with the same problem and you would think that Nissan would have gotten this issue taken care of but it's been going on for over 10 years!! We have to drive from the coast of North Carolina to Fort Worth, Tx in late September and I pray nothing goes wrong before we get there. Pretty sure we will be looking at trading it in on a different vehicle. Really liked everything about it!

There really isn't much to complain about the car. I have had a few recalls, but they were nothing serious, and I dropped my car off, they fixed what the recall was for, and I got my car back. Simple. The Bluetooth on my phone connects instantly it. When you're on Bluetooth and you're still on the phone, but you have to turn the car off. As soon as you turn the car off, the Bluetooth switches back to your phone. Awesome! It looks stylish and sporty, and has really good acceleration. The wheel seems a bit sluggish at times, but it's also a CVT, but you'll get used to it. I have taken many road trips and have had people in every section of my car. It's easy even when you have car seats and to get kids in and out. It goes the same with adults trying to get in and out. I have had an adult sit in the third row by themselves and they complimented on how much room they still had. And by no means was this adult small :-) The quality of the materials are good. It's obviously no Infiniti, Lexus etc, but it had a smooth interior and the controls are very easy to manage and a lot of helpful options to search for (big reason why I chose this over the Explorer). I get really good gas mileage in long trips and short trips. I could drive from Houston to Oklahoma City on one tank of gas. Seriously! The only problem that I have is, that my backup camera keeps messing up. The screen changes colors randomly, and gets fuzzy, but I can still see out of it. I had to take it in and get it fixed (free of course by the dealership) and they did that, but after about a week I am having the same problem. Last time they just replaced the whole console. I don't care what they replaced, I just need the camera to stop messing up. Either way, I bought it in 2014 with about 4500 miles and now it has about 32,000 and it's still going strong.

This is the first time I have ever written a review on any product I have bought, but felt strongly enough to hopefully sway others to be careful in their purchase. I bought my pathfinder in February with 21,000 miles. I specifically asked the salesman about prior transmission issues with pathfinders and was told it was completely resolved. At 31,000 miles it's at the dealership with catastrophic failure of the transmission. I'll get it back on Monday and trade for a new vehicle. There will never be a Nissan parked in my driveway again. I have no confidence in their ability to build a reliable vehicle. The ride was good. The interior fit our family needs. It is a mechanical nightmare.

We were looking for an SUV after the birth of our second child, and the Pathfinder SV came out on top for us. The Highlander has a gorgeous interior and a little more room inside, but is very closed in and tank-like. The Ford Edge is great to look at, but the interior can't match Toyota and Nissan quality. Mazda CX-9 was awesome to drive, but has VERY hard suspension as a result. Acura RDX was ridiculously small inside with no leg room in front or back. Overall, the Pathfinder does everything really well and doesn't have any shortcomings so far.

We purchased a 2014 SL new in November 2014. We've driven it lightly so far, only 2000 miles, and had absolutely NO issues with it. It is quiet, smooth, and I don't have any of the CVT issues reported. I do notice the transmission shifting differently than my old car (an older Highlander), but it's not an issue or a problem, just the nature of CVT. But honestly, if there had been as many reviews mentioning CVT problems in November as there are today -- I would NOT have purchased this vehicle. But so far, it's a fine vehicle with no issues. We also have a 2015 RAV-4, and the Nissan touchscreen isn't as intuitive as the Toyota one for setting up bluetooth, etc.

I had a new 2013 pathfinder, that had so many issues i was in and out of the shop every 6 weeks... so they traded me for a new 2014. So far, the air bag sensor has been faulty, the control panel has been replaced (couldn't read the gas correctly, said i was out when in fact i had 1/3 tank), the transmission control module has been replaced, and it still rattles and shakes. I'm not impressed, I won't buy another one. I see myself back in the shop soon if the rattling continues. At first they blamed an alignment issue. Paid for that to be fixed, and it's still rattling. Not all the time, just periodically. Atleast it does not have the no-go problem my 2013 had.

Purchased suv in July of 2014. Two months later, I was driving I heard a pop and thought I had run over a metal band. As I continued to drive I noticed the suv was overheating. Called dealership and they had suv towed in. They also arranged a rental for me. Approximately 10 days later, I picked up suv. Was told super charger seized and they had to pull out engine to replace it. Then in January of 2015 same thing happened. SUV towed in and was given a rental. Approx 8 days later, I p/u SUV and told same exact problem. Now I am afraid to take long trips. I fear that super charger will seize again. Also noticed that Nissan no longer making the hybrid. I assume mine is a lemon.

Updated review- Bought 2014 SL 4x4 in Aug. 2013. 3k - 5k miles we experienced the shudder, took it into the dealer, they fixed it. 22k miles the CVT started acting up again, took it in and they replaced the transmission! At 32k miles it did it again, again they adjusted it, at 37k it hasn't done it again, so far. We have been very lucky/happy with our dealer and the service they have provided us with on this issue. Pro's - Smooth ride, great features, love the leg room, good gas mileage, fun to drive, reasonably priced, Got into head on collision, very impressed with the safety features of this car. Car was totaled. Really love this car but will not buy again until CVT is fixed.

1. The Noise coming from the CVT engine is awful. Something that was never heard in any other car. Nissan Canada claim this is normal for this car. 2. connection between the fuel consumption that Nissan advertised and reality is absolutely non-exist. Expect around 30% more. 3. Quality of interior materials super low. Just move your hand in the inner part of the steering wheel.. Hope you will not cut yourself from that poorly manufactured plastic parts.

Vehicle worked flawlessly till 7500 miles. At that time there was loud knock and vibration from trans area. Since then there is intermittent vibrations and shudders. Dealer 1st stated they can find nothing, then, this is normal. If normal, I think it should happen all the time. Dealer then stated it sounds like torque converter, but won't fix. Told factory rep would contact, but never did. Am afraid vehicle will let me sit. Would consider trading, but was told value is zip due to vehicle transmission reputation. Would love Nissan to step up to the plate ands repair / replace. Anyone listening? Wow, what a piece of crap, and Nissan service at manufacturer level is no better. After 3 months of run a round, the dealer told me to please find another dealer. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle and they are tired of looking at me. So, took vehicle to dealer 50 miles away. They immediately recognized the problem, but, listen to this, were not able to make immediate repairs. They had to call Nissan for authorization. First Nissan told dealer to change tires and wheels with another vehicle, hoping that issue was tires/wheels. Well, that didn't work, so Nissan told dealer to replace torque converter. Done, now the problem was worse, Finally, dealer told to replace transmission. Finally, problem solved. Problem was, I was traveling and need substitute transportation. Nissan did pay part of rental. Due to substandard treatment by Nissan, I traded to vehicle for new Toyota Highlander limited in 1/15. That vehicle now has 25,000 miles and performs flawlessly. Lets review, bought Nissan in 7/14 with sticker of 44,500, Paid 38,500. Problems started in 10/14 and finally resolved in 1/15 by final repair and trading for Toyota. Nissan value is terrible. Nissan dealer offered 20,500 (less than 50% of original sticker) to trade vehicle for new / improved Pathfinder. Sorry, burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me. I work too hard for my money to waste it on "pretty" junk.

Purchased in April 2014 (same month vehicle was assembled). I was aware of the CVT issues before purchasing but hoped that Nissan had fixed the problem with newer builds. No such luck. Last weekend the problems began. Shudders, power loss, surging etc.. Pathfinder no longer safe to drive. Nissan replacing transmission under warranty. 19,000km on the odometer. No other complaints with this vehicle.

Purchased this vehicle new in May 2014. In October 2014 with less than 5,000 miles the transmission began slipping at speeds above 60mph. Took it to dealer who said may be bad gas and to fill up once with 89 octane. In November 2014, the transmission slipped constantly (No warning lights came on). Took it to dealer, they confirmed it was a bad transmission. They said they were putting a new transmission in however it is still in the shop so I am unable to validate if it is new or a remanufactured transmission that is going in it. A vehicle with less than 6k miles and cost $45K a total disappointment. Stay away from the Pathfinder.

we just turned over 13,000km and the transmission failed. The Nissan dealer outlined they ordered a new one and would install it at no charge. Good deal. Problem- They put a remanufactured transmission in a brand new vehicle. BAD BAD BAD. Check the warranty documents as they are allowed to do this under their manufacturers warranty. I cannot believe that you spend 50K on a new vehicle and when you have a problem they put a USED transmission in it and call it new....

We bought this pathfinder AWD back in May 2014 we have put over 6,500mi on it and have had no problems. After owning an Expedition for several years initially I was hesitant to move to this crossover especially because the bad press for CVTs. The overall experience has been positive still able to tow my 18' boat at the same time save gas for daily use. Although the switch from traditional automatic to CTV is not 100% transparent (you need to adapt between keep pressing down the gas vs. hold or overdrive vs. automatically braking with engine for downhill's) at the end of the day it deliver a good experience.

absolutely the best SUV you can buy for the money.

First off, this is our second 2014 Pathfinder. We purchased a standard SL V-6 Model last year, and grew to love it so much, we traded in my eight year old Camry hybrid for a Hybrid model Pathfinder. It retains all the comfort and smooth handling of its V-6 cousin, but adds in some very impressive MPG numbers to boot. I'm only on my third tank of gas after owning it for two months, and Fuel Economy has improved with every tankful (27, 29, and now 31 MPG). It's actually a bit quieter then it's V-6 cousin, due to the extra sound deadening material, and the transition from engine to EV mode is a lot less noticeable then it was in my old Camry hybrid. Nissan gets an A+ for this model.

Had heard about the shuddering challenges, decided to purchase anyway - alas, at low miles it started to shudder, talked to my dealer and was told it was nothing ..... On a road trip to Canada it got to the point I was ready to return the vehicle once we got home. Called Nissan directly who directed me to the nearest dealer, who identified, addressed and fixed the problem within hours! Only have good things to say about them. Can't say enough good things about my Pathfinder. 2 years into owning it, I've had zero challenges with anything. Value for money ... A great buy. LOVE this car, it offers everything plus more! I researched the rest, then purchased the best! Ride, comfort, features OUTSTANDING.

The Nissan pathfinder is the best overall suv you will ever buy, longer lasting less maintenance, less expensive than most but not just a better value they drive awesome with the cvt transmission, they are quality built and so very comfy if you have kids. Get the sl version it's just below the platinum the top level but you have the option to get the premium package that has the full sky light sunroof I. The back the Bose and the heated seats and super premium leather. Everything about it makes so much more sense than all the crap new do serif SUVs that are more expensive and just break down. There is not one suv that literally beats the pathfinder in looks(sexy mobile) or anything else

As others vehicle shudders at low speed but not consistenly and never in the shop and nor did our dearship know or ever heard of this problem. On recent vacation when our car was lowed to the nearest dealership, that's an enitely different story, we mentioned it to the service manager who know exactly what I was talking as soon as I said transmission problems. They have replace two transmissions already with the exact same issue. Conclusion is we mentioned it yet a third time to our local dealership who finally tried some thing revolutionary and looked up the problem on the internet! Finally agreed to address the issue. New transmission being installed as we speak.

over all its exactly what we wanted in its class but have had nothing but problems. long story we had a 2013 pathfinder s class for 2 weeks and a Nissan tech smashed it into another customers car. they gave us a 2014 in place. We got it in Aug 2013, we reported a burning coolant smell in Nov 2013 with only 10 500 km. even though I can smell it in the car with my wife and 4 kids present, Nissan still says its within normal running operations. I also had both front wheel bearings replaced at 30000 km. now Nissan is refusing to take the coolant issue any further. not impressed what so ever! they say that its a common problem yet we looked online & nobody has had the same problem.

This car has everything that we wanted and needed for a family car. The best feature that this car comes with is the sliding rows. When you have children in a car seat is that the middle you are able to completely move it forward without having to take the carseat out. Also the leg room in the front passenger has with a carseat in back is awesome. We traded in my two year old Ford Explorer to the Pathfinder because of the lack of leg room and every time someone needed to sit in the third row we needed to take the carseat out.

I have only had it for almost 300 miles now, but it drives very well. It is a great ride, super comfortable and loaded with features. If you spend the extra money and get the Platinum model with all the extra features, you will be happy that you did. Hopefully wont have any of the transmission issues, but looking forward to taking it on a road trip in the near future to see how it does for a long haul drive.

I like how smooth the ride is in this car. Also, compared to the 2012 Nissan Pathfinder I just traded in, this car is roomier inside. I look forward to seeing the types of gas mileage savings I will be able to realize. The 2012 Pathfinder was on a truck frame, but this is not and as a result, it is a sportier ride.

We bought this pathfinder back in Oct 2013 we have put over 15,000km on it and have had no problems up until after the first oil change and tire rotation.... since then its been making a loud noise and the faster we go the louder it gets it almost sounds like a lawn mower or weed wacker when we get up to 110-120km per hour!! if I put the car in N and rev it up I do not here the sound only when I am driving. I love this car but this noise is not cool I guess Ill find out what it is when it goes in today. other then that I have had not other issues other then the recalls which can be expected when you launch a new model, it always takes time to work out the unexpected bugs.

I will make it short. what's the point of buying a new car if i have to keep going back to service almost every other week? Nissan decided to change the transmission 2 weeks after i purchased the car cause of shaking problem. then again in April 2014 cause of the same problem. and now i feel i wasted over 30,000 on piece of junk. while driving on highway car is shaking vigorously. there are already 4 recalls on the car. I will never buy a nissan again.

I bought a 2014 Pathfinder SL in Nov. 2013. I have owned a dozen Nissans, all high quality and reliable. How Nissan could turn out a vehicle with so many complaints about the CVT Transmission is very disappointing. I feel betrayed and will NEVER buy Nissan again. They remind me of Detroit quality control in the 1980's. I will sell it asap. I have had it in the shop 5 times in 3 months for acceleration problems, shakiness, poor power range. I could go on, but why. I have read the complaints of others and know I am not alone. So if anyone reads this with Nissan, I hope you are satisfied at how much of your customer base is revolting against the product that endangers our families.

Bought my 2014 SL 4x4 in Aug. 2013. I already have 21k miles on it. We bought this car for the incredible leg room and the towing capacity & we had previously owned a 2007 pathfinder & had no problems with it. At between 3k - 5k miles we did experience the shudder, took it into the dealer, they fixed it & we haven't had any problems since. This is a great car. Smooth ride, great features, love the leg room, good gas mileage, fun to drive, reasonably priced & we have had tons of compliments on it.

We purchased our 2014 PathFinder SV on a very snowy presidents day. In the last few months we have logged almost 5,000 enjoyable, uneventful miles. This includes a road trip and numerous trips to sporting events hauling 4 kids, 2 adults, and 3 sets of hockey equipment. The ride is great, handling good, and acceleration smooth. So smooth that it is accelerating faster than you at first realize. Mileage has been very good, usually 22-23 in mixed driving (overdrive enabled, towing mode disabled for normal driving). I am looking forward to seeing how well it handles our boat. No shudders, or hick-ups, at all... Just enjoying the ride. ... 50,000+ miles in..,, Still love the car... Bluetooth could be better, and hands free is clunky, but knowing that this has been updated in the newer model, would purchase the car again. In fact we plan to buy the slightly upgraded version when this one wears out... Probably at 150,000+ miles.

I have owned my Pathfinder Hybrid SL for over 2 months now, and the more I drive it, the more I love it. It is way more vehicle than I needed (that's why I almost walked away from getting it) but the dealer made me one of those offers that one would be stupid not to take...so I took it! Although the PF got only slightly better gas mileage than my old RAV4 in the beginning, I have discovered that I can get pretty awesome mileage around town by coasting as much as possible, not putting 'the pedal to the metal' so much, and turning OFF the climate control whenever possible!! The first nice-weather day we had here in NY this spring, I had the windows open and got 29.7 mpg!
