How ironic, Certified found a way to delete my comment from before via the Google Consumer Review website originally posted 11/25/10. Be that as it may, it's copied below for your convenience..... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WHY - OH - WHY DIDN'T I CHECK OUT THIS SITE PRIOR TO MY PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM CERTIFIED AUTO SALES???! GET THIS: 5 WKS AGO, WHILE DRIVING ON FOOTHILL BLVD IN UPLAND, I TOOK NOTICE OF THIS PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A DEALERSHIP WHOSE NAME STRUCK ME IMMEDIATELY. MY INITIAL INTEREST WAS IN A GREEN - 2002 JAGUAR W/ 75K MILES, HOWEVER UPON SPEAKING W/ AN EMPLOYEE OF THE DEALERSHIP, JOHN (THE AUCTION ATTENDEE AND CAR PURCHASER) I INQUIRED ABOUT HOW MUCH I WOULD HAVE TO PUT DOWN TO KEEP MY PAYMENT at A FEASIBLE AMOUNT. I MENTIONED I WANTED TO PUT $2500 DOWN AND WAS THEN ADVISED BY JOHN THAT THE AMOUNT I STATED WOULDN'T GET ME INTO THIS PARTICULAR JAG- HOWEVER THEY HAD ANOTHER ONE IN BLACK LURKING IN HIBERNATION OR SOMEWHERE - THAT I QUALIFIED FOR. WELL I ADMIT, I PREFERRED THE COLOR BLACK TO GREEN, HOWEVER THIS JAG DIDN'T POSSESS A FRONT GRILL, THE ROOFLINER INSIDE WAS PEELING, THERE WAS DOG FUR EVERYWHERE AND THE PAINT JOB WAS FADING AS WELL. BEARING MY NEED FOR TRANSPORTATION IN MIND, I WENT ON TO PURCHASE. 5 WEEKS LATER, MY CAR HAS SPENT MORE TIME IN THE DEALERSHIP THAN IN MY OWN GARAGE!!! I HAVE NOT ONLY TAKEN OFF OF WORK ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS DUE TO VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONS AND TO OVERSEE THAT PROBLEMS (THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE) WERE TAKEN CARE OF BUT I'VE MISSED OUT ON SCHOOL AND MY PERSONAL LIFE HAS SUFFERED AS WELL! 1. THE CAR'S AIR CONDITIONING DID --NOT-- FUNCTION UPON PURCHASE! NO SOONER THAN I'D DRIVEN OFF OF THE LOT (IT WAS 110 DEGREES THAT DAY), THE A/C BEGAN TO THWART OUT HOT AIR. I WAS FORCED TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY KEPT IT FOR (GET THIS) 6 DAYS!!!, IN THE MEANTIME, WHILE RELUCTANT, THEY GAVE ME SOME SORT OF LOANER CAR....A 1998 VOLVO STATIONWAGON THAT THEY WERE ATTEMPTING TO SELL ON THE LOT, AS WELL. WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE CAR BACK, THE A/C WORKED....WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, YET UPON SITTING IDLE (at A STOP LIGHT OR WHERE HAVE YOU), WOULD PROJECT HOT AIR. SO, ALL IN ALL I'D BASICALLY PAID $2500 TO DRIVE A DARN STATIONWAGON....WOW. 2. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. <-- THIS INITIALLY SCARED ME TO DEATH! OF COURSE I DROVE BACK TO THE DEALER AND EXPLAINED MY CONCERN. THEY HAD THE CAR FOR ALL OF 15 MINUTES AND RIGGED' IT SO THAT THE LIGHT WOULDN'T COME BACK ON. 3. ^ I ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE HOME AFTER THE ABOVE TRANSPIRED AND THE CAR SHUT OFF, THUS REQUIRING ME TO CALL THE DEALER AGAIN; ONCE THE CAR RE-STARTED, I DROVE BACK AND WAS GIVEN THE "LOANER CAR" YET AGAIN. ONCE I RECEIVED THE CAR BACK...THE OWNER, SAL, TOLD ME THEN THAT PROVIDED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, TO JUST "GO AHEAD AND CONTINUE DRIVING" ENSURING ME THAT BY THEM REPLACING THE SPARK PLUGS, THAT THEY PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. PARDON ME, BUT THE LAST TIME I CHECKED...."CHECK ENGINE" LIGHTS DIDN'T JUST UP AND COME ON FOR NO REASON!--- 4. FURTHERING THINGS, THE GAS CAP COVER WOULDN'T "POP" OPEN & WHEN IT DID, IT WOULDN'T CLOSE. THIS ALLOWED GAS TO ESCAPE AND YET...I WONDERED WHY MY TANK WOULDN'T STAY FULL AFTER PUTTING $40-50 OF GAS IN...? 5. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER'S SPRAY NOZZLES WERE CLOGGED. WHEN I WENT TO SPRAY MY WINDSHIELD ONE MORNING A MUDDY EMISSION WAS PROJECTED ONTO MY WINDSHIELD CAUSING A HUGE SMEAR AND RESULTING IN ME ALMOST HITTING SOMEONE ON THE FREEWAY. 6. THE BRAKES & ROTORS - SQUEAKED & SCRUBBED UPON PURCHASE. AFTER 3 VISITS TO THE DEALER, THEY RELUCTANTLY REPLACED THE ROTORS W/ SOMETHING AFTER MARKET, YET THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THEY HAVE YET TO CORRECT THIS. 7. LAST AND CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, WOULD BE THE FACT THAT JUST LAST WEEK THE CAR BEGAN TO DRIVE FUNNY WHILE IN TRAFFIC. AFTER PULLING OVER IN LOS ANGELES TRAFFIC, IT OVER-HEATED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE FWY. I LITERALLY HAD TO PRY THE RADIATOR CAP OFF TO CHECK THE FLUID LEVEL. DESPITE SAL STATING THAT THE PART WAS NEW - THERE WAS CORROSION BEYOND REPAIR BENEATH THE HOOD. .....MOVING FORWARD: I PAID TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED 39 MILES BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IN UPLAND WHERE SAL (THE MANAGER/OWNER) REFUSED TO FIX THINGS, TELLING ME I'D RUINED THE ENGINE DUE TO MY OWN NEGLIGENCE AND THIS WAS DETECTABLE BY WAY OF HIS SO-CALLED "MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE". HE ACTUALLY WANTED ME TO PAY $2,000 FOR THE COST OF A NEW ENGINE INSISTING THAT THIS WAS ----MY----- FAULT! WHILE THE ENGINE IS COVERED IN WARRANTY, SAL HAS INCLUDED A CONVENIENT CLAUSE THAT VOIDS THE WARRANTY IN THE ISSUE OF OVER-HEATING; HOW CONVENIENT. * UPON HAVING A RECENT HEATED ARGUMENT, SAL, WHO FEELS HIMSELF TO BE A "MAN OF HIS WORD" RETRACTED HIS OFFER. ALL THIS, AND I HAVE YET TO EVEN SO MUCH AS PAY MY 1ST CAR NOTE! EVERY TESTIMONY ON THIS SITE VALIDATING THE NEGLIGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE OF THIS PLACE IS COMPLETE TRUTH AND I PRAY FOR US ALL. NOW, MY FAMILY AND I ARE SPENDING THANKSGIVING ....W/O TRANSPORTATION!!! WORD FROM THE WISE: DON'T PURCHASE FROM THESE BASTARDS EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!!! I'LL BE SEEING THEM IN COURT ~ -------------------------- UPDATE: As stated, I took these bastards to court and sued them for every dime that they'll never be worth! An angry Sal (owner) arrived in a plateless Hummer H3 that most likely he purchased from the monies he gouges from susceptable consumers. Let's just say that once I sued him, most likely he was late on his own car payment from lack of funds. Yes --- I won my case!

Not a family car by any means but as a fun commuter and weekend joy rider it's tough to beat. An easy to enter and exit sporty vehicle that corners like a go kart on steroids. Keep in mind it's called a mini for a reason!

This car is not a "luxury" car. If you are looking for the most luxurious car that has the easiest ride where you don't feel any bumps, this car is not for you. It it a sports car at its finest. The pickup is incredible. The road holding is second to none. You do feel every bump in the road, though, but those who love sports cars don't mind that at all. I love the look of the Mini, too and I always get compliments on my car. I'm so happy I bought it!

Always wanted a fast car, and this is it. When the turbo kicks in hold on. This is the culmination of years of go cart desires, exact the world is your track. We took a 45 day trip around the US, 10,000 plus miles, fun, fun and more fun. Plenty of room for the 2 of us and all our luggage. Best of all you really learn how to pack. One of the best cars I have ever owned. Thanks BMW for making this possible. The car is a convertible , not a hatchback.34000

25,000 mile engine

First of all, I bought the car brand new, knowing that I would put a lot of miles on it. The warranty seemed perfectly acceptable and we were very happy with the purchase. We put about 25,000 miles on this car in one year and we only brought it in for oil changes and recall repairs. So far, so good. The car handles well, gets good MPG, and does what we expect it to do. Then, the car broke down while my wife was driving through town, on her way home from work. The dealer took about one week to diagnose the problem, claiming the service department was short-handed. The following week, I was told that the turbo charger would need to be replaced, and when I checked in two days later, the engine also needed to be replaced. I have owned several new cars, and I have never had a problem with the engine in the first year of driving. In fact, I have never had engine problems within the first 100,000 miles of any engine. Naturally, I was concerned. I asked about replacement parts, and of course, the exact same OEM parts that had failed already were being installed. I tell them that's fine, but I would like to have an extended warranty so that these new parts, including the engine, would be covered for longer in case the same problem repeats. This was also denied. I have spoken to MINI USA several times, and there is nothing they will do that is not already covered. Please understand, the car is well within warranty and I have incurred no additional cost. Not yet, anyway. However, the car has been in the shop for three weeks now, and counting. Getting an extended warranty is pointless now, because I will be unloading this car at my earliest opportunity. I will replace my MINI with a reliable car, and never consider purchasing another in the future.

Brand new, within the first 9 months, I’ve visited their service facility 8 times

1 speaker making humming noise, they claim it was designed to make the high pitch noise to sound more sporty. Plastic rail end cap snapped off and broke. 2 Found proof that shows them the noise is not a designed feature. They admit the problem and ordered a new amplifier from Germany. 3 Recall service 4 Brought it in for broken tire 5 Amp arrived, that was three months of waiting. they installed it 6 brought it back again, the speaker was never fixed. I told them I do not want to pick up my car until the noise is gone. 7 Went back to pick up my car, noise is gone. 8 2 weeks after my speaker noise gone, I got
